3rd person pov

(A/N: big shoutout to patrikpopp for giving me inspiration and feedback during this review blackout)

The next time the family got together for a meal, it was not a Sunday, but a celebration. Danny and Jess's birthday celebration. The whole family had gathered, giving the birthday twins congratulations and hugs. Eye as keen and sharp as ever, the PC spoke up, eyeing his daughter and Maria

"Danny and Will finally popped the question! Congratulations!"

Interests now peaked, the rest of the family turned to the two couples

"Hey, congrats!"

The three detectives and the doctor smiled

"Thank you."

Always inquisitive, Erin asked

"How did you pop the question?"

The two brides-to-be were more than happy to recount the proposals, each tailored to be perfect for the one being asked the life-altering question. Danny's sons were astonished

"Dad! You SANG with New Kids On The Block?! AWESOME!"

Danny smiled

"It was."

Peter spoke next

"So, what dates are we saving?"

Jess and Maria spoke

"Actually, just one date. We decided on a joint wedding."

The idea was well-liked by the family, and the preparations were soon in the making. A spring wedding had been decided, it was the best for the Big Apple weather, and it gave them time to prepare for everything that needed to be doubled, but at the same time unique. Two dresses, two tuxes, bridal parties half the same, half not; to name a few things. The first thing that had been decided. Frank was going to walk Jess down the aisle, and the plan was for Maria to ask her former Sergeant, the now-Lieutenant Gormley, to escort her. He was one of her father figures, so it definitely seemed right.

The following day, Maria went up to 1PP's 14th floor, where Frank and his dream team worked out of. She knocked on the door

"Lieutenant Gormley?"

He looked up

"Baez! Hey, come in."

She did, then smiled

"I wanted to ask for a favor in the Spring. May 22nd,1800 hours. That's when Danny and I are getting married. And so are Jess and Will. Joint celebration. I was wondering if you'd be willing to walk me down the aisle?"

Shedding actual tears and hugging the Detective, the Lieutenant smiled

"I'd be honored, Maria. Congratulations, and good luck with Danny."

They shared a laugh at the Danny joke as Maria hugged her former boss, happy that he had accepted her request.

The day soon came, and the group of flower girls and ring bearers was adorable. Sami and Noah, Erin and Jack's eight-month-old twins; along with CJ,Star and Dusty, Joe and Laurie's toddlers; along with Jamie and Eddie's toddlers, Eric and Maryella. To no ones' surprise, Peter had volunteered to be in charge of corralling the kids. The ceremonies went smoothly and the weather remained agreeable throughout their outdoor ceremony. Soon after the reception, Will and Jess went to a remote location with hot springs natural pools, while Danny and Maria went to California.
