Dean's phone rang so he answered it. "Hello?"

Andy's voice was small. "I kinda need help."

Dean raised an eyebrow. "What is wrong?"

Andy drew circles on the floor with his toes. "Uh, can you just come help me?"

Dean tilted his head as John walked through the door to get his attention. "Is everything okay, Andy?"

Andy sighed. "I got some bubble gum as a treat. Mom said not to make a mess with it. I wanted to blow the biggest bubble ever but my teeth got tired so I left it on the table. Um, it kind of got a little bit in Ian's hair."

Dean had placed the call on speaker phone. "A little bit?"

Andy looked at Ian. "Please just help me."

"Where is your mom?" Dean asked.

Andy chewed his lip. "She took a nap when Ian was going to nap. Ian didn't nap though and I was playing with him so she could nap but then he got gum in his hair."

John nodded for Dean to go over to Caleb's house. He got a slight chuckle out of the situation. Andy sounded a bit worried.

Dean figured Karen could help remove gum from Ian's hair. "I don't know about this. It sounds an awful lot like you want me to come save you from your mom."

Andy frowned. "Stress isn't good for the baby and this will make her very stressed."

Dean had Taylor go with him too. Ian put up a fight getting food wiped from his face. Gum removal would not be peaceful.

John went up to Kate's room and knocked on the door. She was calm. Good. "Your brothers would like you to know that they have not abandoned you. Andy got gum in Ian's hair and called for backup."

Kate smiled slightly.

John pulled her chair out and sat down on it. "Where do I begin?"

Kate studied her rug.

"That attitude just keeps digging you deeper, doesn't it?" John asked.

Kate sighed. "I am blood related to you guys."

John sat back in the chair. "That's not going to help you out."

Kate didn't want to fight with him but she didn't feel like she deserved to be in hot water. "Dad, I didn't do anything wrong. I just got upset because I feel like you get mad over small things."

"You know not to use abilities at school." John said.

"It's not like I did anything big. I just checked out." Kate tried.

"What you do not seem to grasp is that I can scold you for something without the intention of getting angry at you. You have a history of misusing that ability. You are so much like Sam. I could ask him if he did his homework and he'd blow up." John said.

Kate looked away from him.

"If you are hit with a vision, that is different. You've been going into visions intentionally. I have a problem with that." John said. He caught her mumbling something and cleared his throat.

"Why don't you have a problem with Taylor's abilities? It is only mine." Kate said.

"Had he used his strength for personal gain, I would be having this conversation with him." John countered.

"I wasn't doing this for personal gain. All I want to do is save people." Kate said, a little heatedly.

"You said you were bored. I'm not going to argue with you. Your attitude is your downfall." John said.

Kate glared at him.

John sat forward. "You can't go on vision trips during school. You can't search for demons. You know that they can get into the vision."

Kate shuffled her feet.

"You are still on restrictions." John said.

Kate rolled her eyes.

(TW)

John pulled her to stand in front of him. He swept her feet out from under her and positioned her over his left knee.

Kate gasped and threw her hands in front of her.

John swatted her a dozen times. "Have you ever been allowed to roll your eyes at me or any other adult?"

Kate growled. "No."

John smacked her thigh.

"No, sir." Kate ground out.

"You can pretend that this is all no big deal, but this is the same thing that got your put into the hospital with blood poisoning. What if Hellen has a demon out there still waiting to hurt you?" John asked.

"She is dead!" Kate regretted yelling at him. She kind of hoped his hand hurt because her backside sure did.

John stopped spanking. "Stand up."

Kate was worried. "Why?"

John started smacking again until she jumped up. He left the room for a minute and returned with the heavy ruler in his hand.

Kate whimpered. "Dad."

"No. You want to be a smartass instead of listening." John put her back over his lap. "Don't think I didn't hear you swear as you came up here."

Kate yelped when he smacked her with the ruler. "You guys swear all the time."

John smacked her several times in the same spot. "You are going to listen. Using an ability during school is dangerous. Seeking out demons is dangerous. Had you kept your mouth shut I would have explained it calmly, and you would have had laps to run. You are on restriction because you are irresponsible. Case in point."

Kate kicked her leg and groaned when he put his leg over hers. So much for keeping her mouth shut. If her mouth did stay shut, her face would give her thoughts away. She went limp and accepted the punishment. She knew she wasn't supposed to go into the vision before she did it.

John noted that she had given in and sat the ruler down. "All I am asking is for you to think. You scared the hell out of us when you got burned."

Kate sniffled. "I'm sorry."

John helped her stand up. He was ready to hold her, but she shook her head.

(ETW)

"I want to be alone." Kate said.

John furrowed his eyebrows. "I can't leave you up here. Do you want Dean?"

Kate shook her head again. "Please let me be alone." She wasn't angry. She just felt raw and emotional.

John gave her space although he was uncomfortable with it.

Kate curled up on her bed and fell asleep quickly.

Ten minutes later, John heard her cry out and ran back up the steps. He picked her up and sat her in his lap. "It's a dream. I'm here."

Kate opened her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck. "I'm sorry!"

John rubbed her back. She was terrified. "Kate, what happened?"

Kate cried into his chest and hiccupped. "You sold your soul. You died and it was so awful."

John let her calm down. "You had more visions from what it would have been like?"

Kate nodded.

John sighed deeply. "I guess I need you around to keep me from doing dumb stuff as much as you need me around to keep you from doing dumb stuff."

Kate whimpered. "This feels terribly one sided."

John held onto her and rested his chin on her head. "I'm not going to sell my soul."

Kate didn't mind it. She had wanted to push him away, but those visions broke her down. While she wasn't a fan of how heavy handed he was, he was her dad. She saw the ruler on the chair and glared at it with disgust. She gasped loudly and sat up so quickly that she nearly busted John in the mouth. "I didn't mean to!"

John turned his head. "What?"

"The ruler." Kate said in a high-pitched tone. "I looked at it and kind of thought about throwing it out the window, but you know, not really and it is gone, and I don't know where it went and daddy, I swear I didn't mean to."

John pulled her back to him. "Shh, I know you didn't mean to." He could tell by her shocked reaction. "It is okay. If we don't find it, I'll just have to use the paddle next time."

Kate was horrified but heard the slightest bit of humor in his voice. "Daaaaaad."

John patted her thigh. "You and I are going on a walk."

"To find it?" Kate asked.

"No. I planned to have you run laps." John said.

Kate whined.

"Would you rather I stayed here and made you run the laps?" John asked.

Kate got up and rubbed the ache away. She looked out her window and frowned.

"Dean went to help Andy." John reminded her. He smirked. "When Dean was very little, he'd run to Mary if I so much as scolded him."

Kate turned to look at him.

"One day I lightly swatted him because he tried to touch a fire. Mind you, there was no way it hurt him. He took off and waited until he got near his mom to start limping like I had broken his leg." John said.

Kate smiled. "Are you saying that I do that?"

John raised an eyebrow.

"Are you also saying that Dean is the mom in this analogy?" Kate asked.

John opened her door. "I'm saying that I don't like always being the bad guy."

Kate backed up to the wall. "Then maybe you shouldn't be so strict."

John tilted his head toward the stairs.

Kate shook her head. "If I go first, you're going to smack me." She jumped when she got a swat anyway.

"I told him not to coddle you." John said.

Kate scoffed. "He does not coddle me."

John passed by Bobby's office and cleared his throat. "Does Dean coddle Kate?"

Bobby chuckled. "Is water wet?"

Kate furrowed her eyebrows. "You all have a weird definition of coddle."

(Andy)

Andy saw Dean and Karen walking to the door and excitedly opened it. He moved back so Dean and the others could walk in.

Dean popped Andy across the seat of his pants. "Don't open the door for people."

Andy threw his hands behind him. "I knew it was you."

Dean ruffled his hair. "What kind of uncle am I if I don't remind you to be safe?"

Andy grumbled. "I thought you were the cool kind. That is why I called you."

Dean got a good look at Ian and knew why Andy wanted help. "That is more than a little bit of gum."

Andy hung his head.

Karen knew just how to get the gum out and sprayed moose in her hand to lather Ian's head.

"I tried peanut butter." Andy said, sheepishly.

"I see that." Dean said. He asked Taylor to start cleaning peanut butter from the cabinet.

April woke up and was startled that they had visitors.

Karen explained why they were there and soothed her worried mind. "Andy was trying to entertain him so that you could nap." She had April sit down.

April's blood sugar was low, which caused her to be very tired. "Andy, you should have told me."

Dean snorted. "He called me first to save his own hide."

Andy looked bashful. "Stress is bad for Lauren."

Dean turned his back to April and hid Ian from her sight. He ran his fingers through his moose covered hair and grinned.

April gasped. "Dean! You get those horns off his head right now."

Dean laughed and smoothed his hair down. He brushed it to the middle and gave him a mohawk.

Andy smiled. "I like it!"

Karen offered to give Ian a bath to rid him of the stickiness.

Taylor finished up the rest of the clean-up.

April talked to Andy and lightly scolded him. "I told you not to make a mess with that." She tilted his chin, so he'd look at her. "I appreciate that you tried to entertain Ian. I know that you didn't mean to make a mess."

Dean gave Andy a thumbs up. "So, am I making the low blood sugar call, or are you?"

April eyed him. "I don't have to call him every time it gets low."

Dean held his hands up. "I'm just covering my bases." He cornered Taylor and spoke quietly. "Check on Kate. I'm going to pick up food."

Andy wanted to pick up food with Dean. Ian was contained and he wasn't sure he was totally out of the hot seat.

Dean was a little flattered that Andy called him. If he couldn't dig the boy out of minor trouble, what good was he for?

(Kate and John)

Kate wasn't thrilled about the walk but thought that John may have something on his mind that wasn't related to her newest screw up.

John was quiet for a while. "I don't remember if I told you but the night your mom died, I think you found me."

Kate pulled a face.

John might have blushed, but he hid it well. "I was tracking the demon. I was on your street and didn't know where to look. I don't even know what got me to your street. I heard a buzzing sound in my head, and it disoriented me. Then I smelled the smoke. I was too late to help your mom but got you out. I had forgotten about the sound until a while back."

"I'm glad you were able to help." Kate said.

John closed his eyes against the cool breeze. "I think you and I are a lot like Sam and me. Do you think that I favor Taylor?"

Kate chewed her lip. "I think it is easier for you to bond with him."

"I don't have to do much. He seems happy riding along or just being around." John said. "I don't want you to think that I love him more."

"We were bonding over science stuff, but you banned me from that." Kate dodged his hand and grinned sheepishly.

"I've met older you. There are things ahead of us that need to be changed. I am trying to keep you from going down a bad path. I know it seems like we just want to keep you in a box." John said.

Kate's shoulders slumped. "How will I become what older me is if I never get a chance to spread my wings?"

"You will." John said. "One day." He needed to find a middle ground because a complete ban would only cause her to want to push back. "I got a call from an old friend. I'll be driving down to him to fix a ghost problem."

Kate raised an eyebrow.

"He works at the University of Tennessee. They periodically get ghosts from bodies that are donated to the-"

"The body farm?" Kate asked in a high-pitched voice.

John chuckled. "Yes. Right now, he has an area sectioned off so the ghost can't wander."

Kate stared at him.

"If your behavior improves and you can show me that you can listen, you can go with me." He motioned for her to calm down. "You will not help with the ghost. If you go with me, you will have the opportunity to tour the forensics program. I do not think you will be able to see the body farm."

Kate shifted from foot to foot. She hugged John around the waist and squeezed. "Oh my god. Thank you. That is a dream. When do we go?"

"I will get a better date later. You have to prove that I should bring you." John said.

Kate let go of him and spun around in circles. "I am going to write down all the questions I have. I bet they have a website."

John smiled to himself. That would help get her mind off of the supernatural.

(Andy and Dean)

Dean let Andy pick out drinks and carried them to the register to pay for them. "You did the right thing. I was picking on you, but you should be proud of yourself. That was a small problem, but you called a trusted adult for help."

Andy looked up at him. "I let you into the house."

"Hey, I dealt with that." Dean said. "If your dad has anything to add on, I'll fight him."

Andy giggled. "I don't think he'd fight you."

"I'm on your side here. I'll just make sure that you don't get into any more trouble." Dean said. He opened the car door for Andy and sat the drinks down. "He is reasonable so I'm just joking. I think we, as a family, need to sit down and go over some codewords with you."

"I know some." Andy said.

"We all need to be on the same page. That way, if you want to make sure it is safe to open the door, you'll have a word." Dean said.

"Make a bad guy doorbell." Andy said.

Dean started the car. "What would that be?"

"The rug has a devil's trap under it. There is salt everywhere. Couldn't you put silver on the doorbell so it would burn something if it pushed it?" Andy asked.

Dean thought of a few ways that could fail but nodded. "You're onto something. I swear this new generation is full of ideas."

Andy watched trees zip by and leaned his head against the window. "If Ian gets too many powers, will he get sent away?"

Dean looked into the rearview mirror. "Of course not."

"I worry." Andy said.

Dean drummed his fingers. "Have you seen any new ones?"

Andy was quiet.

"You know, if you did see something, you would need to tell an adult." Dean said.

Andy frowned. "I don't want him to be in trouble."

"What did you see?" Dean asked.

"He makes the nightlight go on and off." Andy said.

"So, we will tell your parents. He won't get in trouble for that." Dean said.

Andy wrung his hands. "We have candy on top of a shelf. He got those down and broke the bowl."

"He's two. When did that happen?" Dean asked.

Andy sighed. "Before my dad got home. My mom got the mail and didn't hear it."

"So, what happened to the bowl?" Dean asked.

"I put tape on it and put it back." Andy said. "The tiny pieces I pushed under the tv stand."

"How about I help you clean that up? You can tell your mom so she and your dad know that he can do that." Dean said.

"What if I get in trouble for hiding it?" Andy asked.

"You won't. I'll make sure of it." Dean assured him. He wanted Andy to tell them everything and not worry about that.

April started to feel better after she got her blood sugar back up. Kate had offered to try a few things but they both agreed it was best to wait until Lauren was born.

When Dean and Andy got back, Caleb was already on his way home. Dean was comfortable hanging out as long as Kate was okay. Taylor promised she was.

Caleb had been briefed on his way home so when he walked through the door, he had the full story. He listened to Andy retell it and told him that he did well. Sure, he could have woken April up, but his reasoning was understandable.

Dean helped Andy tell them about Ian's abilities too.

That worried everyone. They'd need to find a solution before he got any stronger. He was a fiery little thing that would hurt someone on accident.

Riot ran out the backdoor and barked and growled at the fence.

Caleb walked out to see what was causing the barking. He saw Jimmy running back across the road and looked to make sure Andy wasn't with him. He bent down and scratched Riot's head. "Good boy."

Ian had skipped his nap, so he was cranky. He was giving April one hell of a time and not even snacks or French fries could make him happy.

Taylor couldn't feel surges of power which made him wonder more about what was boosting Ian.

Karen took Ian and helped April get him settled for bed. She wiped his face and hands from dinner and got him into his pajamas.

April appreciated the help although she was capable of managing. It pained her that Elizabeth wasn't able to be there. She hoped that Lauren would look like her.

Karen soothed Ian with a song and a gentle rocking motion. He was heavy but still so little and sweet when he wasn't being a terror. She wanted Lauren to be born healthy, so she'd have to contain her excitement. She wanted to meet her as soon as possible but not that soon. "Did Elizabeth say who Andy's father was?"

April frowned.

"We are all trying to figure this out. I didn't know if she would have known." Karen said, gently.

"She never said." April said with a sigh. "I don't know how we would find out."

Karen patted Ian's back and smiled when he drifted off to sleep. "It doesn't matter. These boys have the best dad now."

April could hear Caleb's laugh floating up the stairs. "They really do. I feel like he threw his life away sometimes. He is young. He took me in and now we are about to have baby number 3."

Karen tsked. "Don't let him hear you talking like that. He loves the boys. He loves you. You are both young, but you saved him. He hasn't given up hunting entirely, but I'd say his chances are better here with you and not out there."

April felt herself growing emotional. "I'm glad fate brought us together or I'd surely have screwed it up again."

Karen put Ian into his bed and continued to pat his back. "Why would you say that?"

"I was stupid and married Steven. I didn't think much of myself so why would I deserve a good man? At the time, I thought he was good." April admitted.

Karen sighed. "Abusive people are like that. They look great at first and then they trap you. You weren't stupid. You were scared."

April followed Karen out of the room. She rubbed her arms and took a deep breath. She had made a string of terrible choices when she was younger. She hadn't hidden her past from Caleb but she thought that she should have told him more before they got married.

Karen hugged April. "Do you think something opened these old wounds?"

April figured it was just pregnancy hormones and worry over Ian.

Karen told Taylor and Dean they could go home. "I'll sit with the boys for a bit." She said to April. "You two should go for a drive or something."

April wasn't sure. "It is almost bedtime."

"So, I will get Andy off to bed if you are gone that long. I have nothing better to do and I think Andy and I could spend some time together." Karen said.

Andy sat up quickly. "Can we?"

Caleb took a quick shower and put on clean clothes. He could see the pain on April's face and wanted to get to the bottom of it. He grabbed a few things and tossed it into the backseat, taking a split second to flip Dean off for the look he was getting.

Dean headed back to Bobby's house with a smirk on his face.

"What was that about?" Taylor asked.

"He had blankets and pillows." Dean said.

Taylor furrowed his brows.

"It is a classic move. You go down to the lake and park, fill up the bed of the truck with blankets and talk while watching the water ripple." Dean said.

Taylor scoffed. "Like you've ever watched the water ripple. Caleb is a gentleman but you-" He rubbed his ear where he got flicked.

"No one asked you for your smartass opinion." Dean said.

"You need a girlfriend." Taylor said.

Dean didn't need a girlfriend. He wasn't going to tell Taylor but he had a second run in with Kim and they'd both agreed that neither wanted a relationship but fun was always on the table. That was complicated. "Shut up."

Taylor shrugged and asked Kate how she was doing. He leaned forward and held his head.

Dean slowed. "What?"

"I asked Kate if she was okay, and I got this high-pitched wine of words that I think mean she's happy." Taylor said.

Dean had no idea what would have caused that. He pulled into the driveway and could see her on the porch, excitedly awaiting their return. He opened his door and got the same high-pitched wine of words. "I don't speak dolphin."

Kate made herself calm down. "Dad is going to Tennessee to get rid of a ghost and I may get to go too. The University has a freaking body farm and a massive forensics program. Do you know how cool that is? I'll get to tour the facility. Maybe not the bodies but the rest of it and," She trailed off into a rapid string of words.

Dean went inside. He found John. "The body farm?"

"They have an area where they get donated bodies and place them into different situations to study what happens. It helps when a murder or something happens." John said.

"Are you taking Squeaky?" Dean asked.

John smiled at the name. "If she can behave herself. She will not be helping with the ghost, but I think the tour will be good for her."

Dean saw a frame on the table. It had tiny nails driven into it at close intervals. There was already a decent layer of thread woven between the nails, but the lines were in all different directions. "Is this her art thing?"

Bobby grumbled. "Don't know how the hell she's doing that."

Kate skipped into the kitchen. "It will make sense when I'm done. I'll layer the frames so that the final image is multidimensional."

"I'll take your word for it." Dean said.

Taylor got a shower and got ready for bed. The day had worn him out which didn't make a lot of sense since a fatigue ability would be the first thing he'd pick out.

Kate added a bit of glue to the last nail to make sure her creation didn't unravel if one of the cats found it. She placed it in a safe spot and ran up to get ready for bed too.

John clapped Dean on the shoulder. "You can stop sulking. You're still her favorite person."

Dean snorted. "I don't know dad; you've promised her dead bodies."

John grimaced. "Let's not word it like that." Having subdued Kate for a little while, John thought it would be the best time to discuss their files. He'd do that the next afternoon. There really was no good time to do it because either of the kids could react in a number of ways.

Dean headed up the stairs and paused. He could feel something watching him and rolled his eyes. "Come out of the shadows, demon cat. I'm not falling for it this time."

Millie pranced out of her hiding spot and rubbed against his leg.

Dean opened the kids' door and let Millie in. "Where is Liam?"

Liam stretched and meowed softly before laying his head back down on a book that was on the desk.

Dean eyed Millie. "You should be more like him."

Kate let Millie under her blanket and rolled onto her side. "No. She's fun."

Dean shook his head and shut the door. Millie was a pain in the butt, just like her human. If he liked cats, he'd think she was also kind of adorable, also just like her human. He needed things to calm down and even out because the constant tension was wearing on him. Knowing that older Kate had more than one run in with the freaks worried him, as well as John. There was a darkness beyond the horizon, and they didn't know how soon it would cover them. He wasn't naïve enough to think that Taylor didn't have his own shadow approaching. He didn't think anything or anyone with any kind of power could escape some sort of fallout.

(April and Caleb)

Caleb parked his truck with the bed facing the water. He placed blankets in the back and two pillows.

April got comfortable on the blankets and pulled another up over her stomach. "What are we doing out here?"

"Talking." Caleb said. "You like the lake, and you like to look at stars."

April waited for him to lay back and scooted so that she could lay her head in the crook of his arm.

"What is all of this about you being down on yourself?" Caleb asked.

April sighed. "Just hormones."

Caleb brushed hair from her face. "Not just hormones."

April looked down at her stomach. "I think part of it is that I'm showing enough that I can't hide it with baggy shirts."

Caleb listened as she spilled what was on her mind.

"I know things are different now. I didn't know how much this was going to affect me. When you spend years being told things about yourself, it is hard to change your mindset." April said.

Caleb pulled her closer. "So, Steven got more violent once you were showing. Bastard. No one is looking at you like you are trash. Everyone is really happy. I'm sure, when you were alone, you felt like you were getting dirty looks and you may have been."

April could feel his heart beating next to her head and it calmed her. "Elizabeth was amazing. She was such a pure person. Karen is too. From what I've heard, Mary was as well. There are all of these amazing women that didn't deserve the hand they were dealt. I was stupid and young. I put Andy into a situation where he could have been severely hurt."

Caleb squeezed her. "You are an amazing woman too. You took in a baby when you were a teenager. You have kept him safe. You delivered Ian by yourself and ran with both of them. Not many people can do that. If you are upset that you stole bread a few times, I'm not one to judge. I've stolen cars. Life isn't always black and white and good people have to do not so good things. The boys and Lauren are so lucky to have you as a mom."

April felt Lauren move and smiled. She had developed a habit of moving around if Caleb was close by while talking. "I'm sorry that I got emotional."

Caleb ran his fingers up her arm. "You are still dealing with what Steven did. Never apologize." He hated Steven for hurting her so badly.

April looked up at the sky. "Should we go back?"

Caleb shifted so that he was lying beside her. "Karen has the boys. I don't have to go into work early. I think we can take our time."

(Gabriel)

Gabriel kept a distant eye on Kate and Taylor. He had his own worries and wanted to avoid his own family drama. He knew all about the other universes although he hadn't been to many. He took a stroll through the one that Kate opened the door to. He never stayed long because that world had a Gabriel as well.

Eons ago, someone got angry at god, or Chuck, as he liked to be called. This someone was powerful and creative. They took the reality that closely mirrored his favorite and tweaked it. Chuck didn't hang out in the mirrored world. He was busy pulling strings in the original. That was fine with Gabriel. He always thought that Chuck was a sucky dad and was fine staying out of his site.

Chuck could view any and all worlds at the snap of his fingers. Any alterations would be noticed. Not even an archangel could create new life, but they could assist someone who could.

Centuries ago, Gabriel landed in the middle of a forest. He held a scroll in his hand and read it a few times. He heard an infant's cry and knew that he was supposed to go to it. He heard men's voices and waved his hand to smite the men, leaving a woman and two children alive and unharmed. He helped them escape the cave and got them to safety. He consulted the man that he was inhabiting and asked for the woman's hand in marriage. This allowed him to dose the babies with his grace and keep an eye on them. Generation after generation, mutation after mutation, one day, someone would be able to withstand the final change. It was a risky experiment that had a ripple effect, causing trouble as the ripples went along.

In 1988, a boy was born, sharing the lineage of the first baby boy. In 1990, a girl was born, sharing the same lineage. Gabriel was not there when they were born but someone else was. He checked in once they found the files and birth certificates. If they only looked a little closer, they'd see that something was the same, although they were born in very different places. He had helped Kyle along without being detected. John was a hunter and could piece it together if he'd just look at it again.

Gabriel felt a heavy presence and acknowledged the person that appeared beside him. "Is it time?"

The person drew a symbol in the dirt with their shoe. "That is up to them."

(Bobby's house)

Kate and Taylor both sat up suddenly.

"What was that?" Taylor asked. He jumped out of his bed and looked outside.

Kate looked too. She had chills. "I don't know but holy hell." She had never felt power like that. She eventually laid back on her bed and calmed down. "That wasn't bad, though…. right?"

"No." Taylor said. It did not feel like a demon's power. "We have been around Cas, and you have met Gabriel, it felt like more than that."

Kate slid deeper into her blankets. They could wake people up and tell them, but it was a split second, and it was hard to explain. She looked up at the ceiling. There was a sense of calm in the wake of the power surge. It lulled her into a deep sleep. Something bigger than an archangel was out there and for some reason, that didn't scare her.
