Chapter 10: Witches before Wizards and experiments

Hey guys, I'm back with a new chapter! Sorry to say I had to delete Spectacular Spider-Man: The New Spider because I'm thinking about rebooting the series. I'm trying to make it my own while keeping the same character traits but changing the overall story for my character.

Anyway, I'm happy to say that I'm updating Omnitrix: A New Titan more frequently. Besides that, this chapter was fun to write and has some surprises at the end, so sit back, relax, review, and enjoy!

In Luz's room, she was sound asleep, dreaming about the events of yesterday. She woke up and saw King asleep at the foot of her sleeping bag.

"It wasn't a dream!" Luz smiled, opening the window. "Good morning, terrifying fantasy world."

"Good morning," a sea monster said before going underwater, causing Luz to cringe.

"Good morning, you little cutie pie," Luz said, kissing King awake like he was a little puppy.

"I am not your cutie pie!" King said, trying to break free.

"Yes, you are," Luz said, hugging him.

"I know," King sighed as she put him down.

Making her way to the bathroom, Luz opened the door to see two owls flying out.

Slowly walking in, she came face to face with Hooty.

"Hi, Luz," Hooty said, causing her to yelp and hit him on the head. "Ow! I'm just wishing you a good morning. Jeez! Hoot! Ow!" Luz watched as Hooty's head extended all the way back to his post on the front door.

"Sorry, Hooty," Luz called out before noticing her Azura book on the counter. "This is it, old girl. Your first day on the Boiling Isles as a Witch Apprentice. Hyah!"

Walking past Jake's room, she knocked on the door. "Jake, Stitch! Rise and shine!" Looking to a closet, she took a deep breath and crossed her fingers. "Please have witchy clothes. Please have witchy clothes. Please have witchy clothes." Luz opened the door and saw tons of robes and other witch items. "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" Luz screamed with joy.

Grabbing an outfit, she put it on and even wrote a name tag that said Witch Apprentice Luz.

After she put on her clothes, Luz went back to Jake's room and opened the door.

"Rise and shine, Jake and Stitch," Luz said, seeing Jake sleeping with his spell book on his face and clutching Stitch like a stuffed animal.

"Aww," Luz said before taking out her phone and snapping a picture.

"Come on, stop with the lights," Jake said, still feeling sleepy.

"Come on, Jake, get up," Luz said.

"Fine, fine. Wait, what are you wearing?" Jake asked.

"You're asking me why I'm wearing this, but why are you hugging Stitch like a stuffed toy?" Luz said, chuckling as she showed them the picture on her phone, making both him and Stitch blush.

Jake groaned, rubbing his eyes as he sat up. "Okay, okay, I'm up. But seriously, what's with the outfit?"

Luz twirled around, showing off her new witchy clothes. "This is my official Witch Apprentice outfit. Gotta look the part, right?"

Jake chuckled, finally fully awake. "You do look pretty cool. But next time, maybe let me know before you start taking embarrassing pictures."

Stitch, still blushing, nodded in agreement. "Stitch not stuffed toy," he grumbled.

Luz laughed. "Alright, alright. Let's get ready. We have a big day ahead of us. Our first day of training!"

Jake stretched and got out of bed. "Yeah, you're right. Let's make the most of it."

Hearing a noise from Eda's room, Luz ran over to be the first to greet her.

Letting out a yawn, Eda walked out in a purple shirt, blue pants, and slippers. "Hmm?" Eda said, noticing Luz.

"Good morning, Eda the Owl Lady. I am ready for my first day of Witch Apprenticeship," Luz declared.

"Who are you again?" Eda asked, shocking her.

"Eda! Come in here, it's amazing!" King called out from the kitchen.

"Ugh, now what?" Eda groaned, walking toward the kitchen.

"Remember me? Luz? We freed the oppressed and defeated the evil warden together? Yesterday? My best friend is Jake, and his alien dog Stitch," Luz said.

As they walked out, Finn and Asher, now back in their human forms, joined them.

"Morning, everyone," Finn greeted.

"Alright, you ready to go?" Asher asked.

"Yeah, let's just get this over with," Finn said.

"Where are you guys going?" Jake asked.

"We gotta go to our dad's house," Finn said.

"Shared custody thing," Asher added.

"You guys still have to go to him?" King asked.

"Yeah, my dad might be a complete dick, but he's still our father," Finn said.

"Alright, let's go. Try to keep our aunt out of trouble," Asher said before they shapeshifted into owls and flew out the window.

"So, Eda, what spells are you gonna teach me? When do I get a magic staff? Was I supposed to bring my own runes? Do you have a dangerous magical quest for me?" Luz asked excitedly.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, kid. Being a witch doesn't happen overnight. Also, you're wrapped in a bathrobe and wearing the dirtiest traffic cone I've ever seen," Eda said.

Looking at her hat, Luz took it off and blew on it to reveal it was indeed a traffic cone just covered in ash, causing King to laugh.

"But a magic staff, huh?" Eda asked, taking a big bite of her food.

"You gave Jake a spell book," Luz pointed out.

"That's because we made a deal. Giving that to him was literally no hard work at all, but if you really want one," Eda said.

"More than anything," Luz said.

"Magic staff, come to me!" Eda said, holding out her hand. They all heard multiple crashing noises.

"I'm not cleaning whatever that is," Jake said, then looked at Stitch.

"Meega Naga-takabah," Stitch said as the staff flew in and hit Eda.

"It's early," Eda groaned before adjusting herself. "Now, witches are awarded their staffs from school. With me as your teacher, you'll be taking a different approach."

"How different?" Luz asked.

"You two are gonna work for it. Jake, you may know some magic, but I bet you have no idea what this can do," Eda said, handing him the spell book.

"It's just a spell book. I looked through it last night with Stitch, and there are weapons we can create with it," Jake said.

"Yeah, that's true, but it can be so much more. You'll never find another magical weapon like that if you searched the Boiling Isles for the rest of your life," Eda said.

"Wow," Jake said, looking at it.

"Eegalagoo," Stitch said.

"Now onto business. I run a few businesses. On weekends, I offer rare human treasures that Owlbert drags over from your side of the realm," Eda said, reaching to the wall and pulling off a toy sword.

"I shall smite my enemies, ages 6 to 11," the sword said before Eda tossed it aside.

"But most days, I sell only the finest homemade elixirs and potions," Eda said as Luz grabbed one from the bag.

"Snake oil?" Luz read.

"No one wants an unoiled snake. Now follow me," Eda said, leading them to the balcony. "Today, you three will deliver packages and sell potions to that town over there, Bonesborough. You'll have to be careful. I have rivals everywhere who'd love to take my business down and you along with it. You wanted a dangerous magical quest? Sister, you've got one."

"I won't let you down, Miss Eda," Luz said, accidentally letting go of the bag.

As it plummeted, Stitch jumped down, grabbed the bag, and landed on the ground with a big thump.

"Phew, that was close," Jake sighed in relief.

"Thanks, Stitch," Luz said.

"Hey, Stitch, you okay down there?" Jake asked.

"I'm fluffy!" Stitch yelled.

"Yeah, he's fine," Jake said.

"Yeah, you'd better stay close to your friend," Eda said as they walked down to get the bag. "Remember, never befriend a man in sandals, and measure twice, cut once." Eda said before closing the door in their faces.

"How did Finn and Asher deal with her on a daily basis?" Jake asked as Stitch followed them.

Inside, Eda walked to King, who was sleeping on a chest.

"I hate to interrupt your power nap, but you have to go with them," Eda said.

"What? But I just found the perfect spot. Why do I have to go? Jake knows magic, he can handle himself," King said.

"Hardly. He doesn't know this place like we do. You and I both know they'll end up lost or eaten or both," Eda said.

"We can hear you!" Jake said as Eda turned to see Luz, Jake, and Stitch looking at them through the window.

"And no we won't!" Luz called out before Eda drew the curtains.

"And because you work for me, too, unless you want to start paying rent," Eda threatened.

Grunting in anger, King stormed out.

"Be back by nightfall or risk mortal peril," Eda said, closing the door.

"Have a nice trip," Hooty said.

"Let's get this over with," King said, leading them away.

In Bonesborough, the four of them walked through the streets, and needless to say, Luz, Jake, and Stitch were in awe at all the different types of creatures.

"Hey, it's rude to stare," King said.

"Sorry, this is just a lot to take in," Jake said.

"I've only seen places like this in my dreams, and it's incredible. Are Jake and I the only humans here?" Luz asked.

"Yeah, humans are a rare sight in the Boiling Isles," King said. "You two might be the only ones around for miles."

"So, what exactly are we looking for?" Jake asked, glancing at the bustling market stalls and the creatures that ran them.

"We need to find some potion ingredients and run a few errands," King said. "And I suppose we can find something for your witchy education too."

"Maybe some spell ingredients?" Luz suggested, her eyes wide with excitement.

"Exactly," King said "And maybe we can get Jake some new supplies for his spell book."

They wandered through the market, stopping occasionally to inspect various oddities and ingredients. Stitch sniffed at a stall selling strange, glowing fruits while Luz marveled at a display of enchanted trinkets.

"So, what's the first thing we need to get?" Luz asked.

"We need some Snaggleback scales," King replied, leading them toward a stall with a grumpy-looking vendor. "And keep an eye out for anything that might catch your interest."

As they continued their shopping, Jake and Luz couldn't help but feel excited about the adventures that lay ahead in the Boiling Isles.

As they wandered deeper into the bustling market of Bonesborough, Stitch's curiosity got the better of him. He bounded towards a stall piled high with glowing fruits, each emitting a soft, ethereal light.

"No, Stitch, those are not for eating!" Luz called out, hurrying after him as he sniffed eagerly at the nearest fruit.

The vendor, a wrinkled old witch with a pointed hat and a mischievous grin, chuckled. "Careful, little one. Those glowing figs are enchanted. Eating one could turn your fur neon blue for a month!"

Stitch paused, his eyes widening in surprise. He looked back at Luz, who shook her head with a smile. "Come on, Stitch. Let's find something more suitable for you."

Meanwhile, Jake wandered off slightly, his attention caught by a display of magical artifacts. Among them, he spotted a gleaming gauntlet adorned with ancient runes, resting on a velvet cushion. Its metal glowed faintly with a mysterious inner light.

"Whoa," Jake muttered, reaching out to touch it. As his fingers brushed the surface, a surge of energy tingled through him, resonating with his Astral Convergence magic.

King, noticing Jake's interest, sauntered over. "Ah, you've found the Gauntlet of Astral Sparks. A powerful relic indeed."

"What does it do?" Jake asked, his eyes fixed on the intricate runes.

"It enhances your magical abilities, particularly those involving astral energy," King explained. "It could be a perfect addition to your arsenal, but only if you can afford it."

Jake glanced at the price tag and winced. "Maybe not today."

Luz joined them, holding a small vial of Snaggleback scales. "Got what we need!"

"Good," King said, nodding approvingly. "Let's pay for these and head back. We've got a lot to learn and prepare before the next adventure."

As they made their way back through the lively market, Stitch abandoned his pursuit of glowing fruits and trotted happily alongside them, while Jake couldn't shake the allure of the gauntlet he had just discovered.

As they walked down an alley, Luz gasped in shock when they suddenly found themselves in front of a large white house that resembled a castle.

"Whoa," Jake said, staring up at the impressive structure.

"Pretty," Luz commented, walking up to the front door and ringing the bell, which surprisingly didn't try to eat her this time.

"Big houses always belong to big whackjobs. Let's drop the package and get outta here," King suggested, but Luz, Jake, and Stitch walked inside.

"Hello? Anyone here?" Jake called out as they entered.

"Hello," Stitch added.

"Hey, wait!" King exclaimed, following them, but the door closed behind them as they stepped into a giant library filled with books. An old man in robes adorned with stars walked in – Adegast.

"Today just got good. A magical wizard!" Luz exclaimed with a smile.

"More like a weird old man in jim-jams," King muttered, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.

"I was in my oscillarium, reading the stars. And who might you be, with eyes full of curiosity?" Adegast asked, studying them.

"Just delivery guys," Jake replied.

"Hmm, that's not all I see. I sense something else, something you are eager to find," Adegast said, eyeing Luz. "Young lady, dare I say, I sense something unique about you. Please, won't you join me for tea?" He waved his hand, conjuring chairs and snacks.

"Okay," Luz agreed, smiling.

"Let's scram. Wizards are just old people with glitter in their pockets," King insisted, but as Adegast reached into his pocket and indeed scattered some glitter, Jake realized King might have a point.

"Okay, maybe he is onto something," Jake admitted, seeing the glitter.

"Meega-o-itume," Stitch growled softly.

"But the stars on his robes are so sparkly, and if he knows about the Owl Stone, maybe he can help with the curse as well," Luz reasoned.

"Maybe," Jake agreed.

"Plus, I see scones on the table," Light pointed out.

"Where?" King exclaimed excitedly, rushing over to gobble up the snacks.

"We'd love to join you for tea," Luz said.

"Hold it. I have one rule. No weapons at the table," Adegast stated, pointing at Stitch's blasters.

"Oh, uh, sorry, sir," Jake apologized, turning to Stitch. "Stitch, drop the blasters."

"Fine," Stitch grumbled, dropping his two blasters.

"And all of them," Jake added.

"Ika patooka," Stitch muttered, reluctantly dropping the other two blasters strapped to his arms.

"Thank you, Stitch," Jake said.

"Just call me Adegast," the old wizard replied with a grin, eyeing Stitch's blasters.

Luz noticed a large assortment of potions nearby. "Do you sell potions, Mr. Adegast?" she asked.

"Why, yes, I do. I run a small business. I have all sorts," Adegast replied.

"You should run a small business delivering more scones into my mouth," King joked, revealing he had already eaten them all.

"I'm surprised to see you here. It was my understanding that Eda delivers the packages herself," Adegast remarked.

"Well, Jake, Stitch, and I are sort of Eda's apprentices," Luz explained.

"I see. And how has that experience been so far?" Adegast inquired.

"Well, pretty good for me at least," Jake replied with a slight cringe.

"Yeah, only Jake has magic and that awesome spell book, Stitch is an alien experiment with amazing powers, but me? I thought if I stayed here, I was meant for something special. But Eda thinks I'm just meant for chores, and I'm afraid I came to the wrong place," Luz confessed..

"Well, I have a quest—"

"A quest?!" Luz interrupts excitedly.

"You didn't let me finish. I have a question," Adegast chuckles.

"Oops," Luz blushes, embarrassed, while Jake and Stitch laugh.

"Would you like to go on a quest?" Adegast asks.

"Yes!" Luz cheers.

"I might have just the thing," Adegast says, reaching into his beard and pulling out a scroll, then opening it. "The prophecy speaks of a young human girl who would be brought to our world by a boy who possesses magic, and with his blue dog, claim the Celestial Staff to free this world from an ancient evil. Perhaps you have come here for a reason."

"Perhaps I have," Luz says, looking intrigued.

"Uh, Luz, hang on a sec. We didn't bring you here," Jake clarifies, grabbing his spell book, while Stitch readies his blasters and follows her.

"This staff can do anything, cast any spell, answer any question," Adegast explains.

"Jake, we could learn more about the Owl Stone!" Luz gasps, shaking with excitement.

"Really?" Jake says, now genuinely interested.

"Should you believe yourself worthy of this quest?" Adegast asks.

"So worthy," Luz asserts confidently.

"You need to know the road will be dark and perilous," Adegast warns.

"Love peril. Big fan of peril," Luz declares.

"Your friend must be loyal and strong to help you," Adegast adds.

"Strong and loyal, yep, that's Jake," Luz nods.

"And his loyal pet must be strong, brave, smart, cute, and fluffy," Adegast adds.

"Yes, yes, Stitch is all those things," Luz agrees.

"And only the Chosen One can pull the staff from its post," Adegast concludes.

"Chosen One," Luz breathes in awe.

"Luz, this sounds a little too good to be true," Jake hesitates, with Stitch nodding in agreement.

"I know!" Luz squeals.

"Big story, awesome. Anyway, your food is gone, and so are we," King interjects.

"Yes, we have to go and pack for this enchanted quest! I'm in," Luz declares.

"Wonderful," Adegast smiles.

Back at the Owl House, Luz was packing for her quest with Jake, Stitch, and King nearby.

"So Jake, what kind of Chosen One should I be? Should I be full of optimism and goodness, like the Good Witch Azura? Or should I be like a bad girl Chosen One with black nail polish and a mysteriously withdrawn attitude? Act like I don't care, but secretly do," Luz pondered aloud.

"I really don't know, Luz. I think you're overthinking it," Jake replied, while Stitch looked on with confusion.

"Ika patooba," Stitch muttered.

"Are you kids talking about bad girls?" Eda asked, walking in with a severed monster arm held by the bone. "Wait, what's all this?"

"Eda, tell these three how dumb wizards are," King chimed in.

"Ugh! Wizards are the worst. Never trust a man in casual drapery. Why?" Eda questioned.

"Your wizard client told Luz she was a Chosen One!" King burst into laughter.

"Wait, wait. Luz?" Eda chuckled.

"He even gave her a map," King continued, laughing.

"Really, guys? Is this necessary?" Jake asked, exasperated.

"Let me see this map," Eda said, taking it from Jake. "Did you two honestly think this was real?"

"What?" Jake and Luz exclaimed in surprise.

"Gaba," Stitch added, also surprised.

"This map is bunk. There's no lake with a Celestial Staff on the Boiling Isles. Finn, Asher, and I would have stolen that ages ago," Eda declared.

"It was too good to be true," Jake sighed.

"I get you want to find out more stuff about the Owl Stone and you feel bad for using it, but it's tricky. King, my nephews and I have been trying to find it and learn from it, and we've come up short every time," Eda explained.

"Can I just be alone?" Luz requested.

"Sure," Eda sighed as she and King walked out. "Jake and Stitch, follow me."

Initially hesitant, Jake realized Luz really wanted to be alone, so he followed.

"Sorry, Luz," Jake apologized, noticing a part of the map was glowing. "Hey, what's that?"

"Huh?" Luz picked it up and held the map up to the light. "The Chosen One. The path will only appear to the worthy. Is this why Eda couldn't read it? Am I worthy?"

The wind blew the map out of Luz's hands, and it landed near her Azura book, causing her to smile. "I won't know until I try."

Downstairs, Eda led Jake and Stitch to a shelf while King settled on the couch.

"Finally! All that mean-spirited laughter made me sleepy," King sighed, lying down.

"So, what's the plan, Eda?" Jake asked, glancing around at the shelves filled with oddities.

"Well, we can't let Luz go off on some wild goose chase with false hopes," Eda replied, pulling out a thick, leather-bound book. "We need to figure out what's really going on with this map and the whole 'Chosen One' business."

Stitch looked around, sniffing at various artifacts before picking up a small glowing crystal that emitted a faint hum. "Heega!"

"Yeah, Stitch, we're on a quest to uncover the truth," Jake said, flipping through a tome that seemed to be written in an ancient language.

I'm sorry I didn't get a good look at it " Eda said

"It's fine, Eda," Jake reassured as Stitch grabbed the stone and held it tightly, his body starting to glow with a blue aura.

"Hey, hey, Stitch, drop it! Drop it now!" Jake commanded.

"Fine," Stitch grumbled, dropping the stone.

"Do you know anything about this guy named Adegast, Eda?" Jake asked.

"Adegast?" Eda repeated, her brow furrowing. She turned to King. "Crony, wake up. You said that wizard was one of my clients?"

"Yeah, I've seen him around," King mumbled, half-asleep. "Now go away."

"I don't know him that well, but I don't like what he's doing to these kids," Eda said firmly.

"Less talking, more napping," King insisted, closing his eyes again.

"Jake, can you go check on Luz?" Eda requested.

"Yeah, sure," Jake replied, hurrying to Luz's room. "Luz, are you okay?" There was no response. He opened the door and gasped. Luz was gone, and her bracelet from Jumba was still there. "Oh no! Luz!" Jake rushed to the window. "Hooty, where did she go?"

"Hoot, hoot. If you want the answer that you seek, solve my riddle within a week—" Hooty began before Jake interrupted, stabbing his starlight blade into the wall, causing it to crack and pieces of the roof to fall.

"Next time, I'll make Stitch eat your face," Jake threatened, impatient.

"Ow! Okay, okay. She went into the forest towards Bonesborough. Sheesh!" Hooty exclaimed.

"Eda! King! We've got to move!" Jake yelled, urgency in his voice.

"Stitch, let's go!" Jake shouted.

"Okie-taka!" Stitch exclaimed, running out the door, with Eda and King following closely behind.

On the outskirts of Bonesborough, Luz was looking out at the forest.

"My first mythical quest." Luz said as she started walking only for a fog to surround them.

"I got my scroll, got my youthful optimism, got my trusty weapon." Luz said taking out the toy sword and clicking it.

"By the power of Skullgar, I am out of batteries." The sword said before dying.

"Okay clearly this thing was a toy rip off of He-Man." Luz said recognizing that call.

As they tried navigating through the fog, Luz looks around.

"Did I make the right choice coming here?" Luz asks before gasping.

From the fog a small village filled with little cats in outfits when suddenly a figure emerged from the fountain.

He had long black hair, an eyepatch, a muscular body and a large sword strapped to his back.

"I see. So you're the Chosen One. The Celestial Staff should've picked me, Nevareth Bladestrife. Teen Prince of Angstmore." He declared.

"Yes, Yes I did make the right choice." Luz said going ga ga over him.

Back in Bonesborough, King, Jake, and Stitch were leading Eda to Adegast's down the alley.

"This is where we met the scones. I mean, the wizard," King said as Eda walked to the end and saw the castle, now old and destroyed.

"It didn't look like this before," Jake said, looking at the castle.

"I don't like this," Eda said, walking into the castle.

Entering the library, they saw it was even more destroyed than the outside.

Looking around, Eda stepped on something. Bending down to pick it up, she found three copies of the Chosen One map that Luz was given and an old paper from the spell book.

"I really don't like this," Eda said, narrowing her eyes.

"Stitch, can you go see if you can find anything else?" Jake asked.

"Okie-taka," Stitch said, bringing out his two extra arms and starting to dig and lift heavy rocks out of the way.

As Stitch continued to clear the rubble, he uncovered a hidden staircase leading down into a dimly lit basement.

"Eda, look at this," Jake said, pointing to the staircase.

Eda cautiously approached, her eyes narrowing further. "Stay close, and be ready for anything," she warned, starting down the stairs with King and Jake following closely behind.

The basement was filled with more ancient books and strange artifacts. In the center of the room was a glowing portal, pulsing with energy.

"What is that?" Jake asked, staring in awe.

"Looks like a portal. But to where?" Eda wondered aloud, carefully stepping closer to examine it.

Just then, a voice echoed through the room. "You should have stayed away."

Everyone turned to see Adegast emerging from the shadows, his eyes glowing menacingly.

"You tricked us!" Jake yelled, reaching for his starlight blade.

Adegast laughed. "Did you really think you could trust a wizard? I have my own plans for the Chosen One and her friends."

Eda raised her staff, ready for a fight. "Not on my watch, you don't."

Stitch let out a growl, readying his blasters. "Meega naga-yo!" he snarled.

Adegast sneered, waving his hand and summoning dark creatures from the shadows. "Let's see how you handle this."

"Jake, get ready!" Eda shouted, firing a blast of magic at the approaching creatures.

Jake nodded, gripping his blade tightly. "Stay behind us, King."

King grumbled but complied, keeping close to Eda.

As the battle ensued, Jake and Eda fought fiercely against the dark creatures, while Stitch provided support with his blasters. The basement echoed with the sounds of magic and blaster fire.

"Luz, hang on! We're coming for you!" Jake yelled, determined to save his friend.

Walking through the forest, Luz and Neverath along with a small animal sidekick made their way to the Celestial lake.

"Nevareth, your vengeful backstory is so compelling. And I'm lovin' your animal sidekick." Luz said.

"After my village was consumed, my heart has known nothing but vengeance." Nevareth said.

"Nevareth." Luz said concerned.

"Lady Luz, do you think love can bloom on the battlefield?" Nevareth asks.

"Oh this quest is questing in all the right places." Luz grins liking this more and more.

As they made their way to a bridge a small ugly cat creature with a brown hat jumped out.

"Ew." Nevareth said grossed out by it.

"Hum‐di‐diddle, to pass the bridge, you must first solve my riddle." It said.

"Hit me little furry man." Luz said eager.

"Your quest shall stop if you fail this game. So tell me, my dear, what is my name?" It asks.

"Hmm." Luz said when she noticed a tag on its clothes labeled Chris. "Uh Chris."

"That's it. You may cross the bridge. And please take this, Chosen One. It shall help you on your journey." Chris said holding up what appeared to be a ring.

"This is amazing. Thank you." Luz smiles.

"Do you need a cape?" Nevareth asks.

"Nah I think goo—" Luz stops midsentence as Nevareth took off his shirt to reveal a 6 pack.

"You can use my shirt." He said.

"Yes I need a cape!" Luz said quickly changing her mind.

"Three cheers for the chosen one." Nevareth said as they cheered.

After defeating all the dark creatures, Jake, Stitch, Eda, and King saw the place was a total wreck, just like the castle.

"Oh no. Are you sure she came here?" Eda asked.

"Can't mistake her smell. Like lemons and young, naive confidence," King sniffed.

"Stitch smell desperation," Stitch said, confirming King's assessment.

"Guys, stop," Jake said when Eda noticed a small cat-like creature lying in the fountain.

"Hey, wake up. What have you done with Luz? What's your endgame?" Eda asked, flicking its forehead.

"To find your pupil and still your wrath, look ahead and follow the path," the cat cackled before crumbling into dust.

"Okay, that was gross," Jake cringed.

"Stitch about to throw up," Stitch said, disgusted.

"It's a trap. They want us to follow Luz," Eda said.

"Not another one. We just got done beating those shadow creatures. What are we gonna do? We have to save her," Jake said as Eda paused to think.

"Kid, you know any star moves that can make you move fast?" Eda asked.

"Let me see. Stitch, give me the spell book," Jake said as Stitch handed him a capsule.

"Where does he keep getting those?" King asked.

"Thank you, Uncle Jumda," Jake said, pressing the button on the capsule before throwing it.

With a pop of smoke, Jake's spell book appeared in his hand.

"Okay, let's see, let's see," Jake said, flipping through the spell book.

"Found one! Hey, this is like from the game," Jake said.

"What game? We don't have time for this, Jake," Eda said.

"One word: Kirby," Jake said with a smile.

"Astral Convergence: Magic Warp Star," Jake said as a shooting star fell from the sky and landed right in front of him. He jumped on it.

"Okay, this is cool," Jake said as Stitch and King jumped on as well.

"Do you know how to use this thing?" King asked nervously.

"Nope. Let's just go," Jake said, shooting off into the sky with Stitch yelling slightly while King screamed in horror.

"That kid," Eda said, hopping on her staff and taking off behind them.

In the forest, Luz, Nevareth, Chris and a pixie were walking out.

"Thank you for inviting me to your feast, Princess. All your food was so tiny and cute." Luz said.

"For you Chosen One." The princess said giving her a bracelet.

"Thank you. You've all been so kind and thoughtful. I hope this quest never ends." Luz smiles.

"Your quest will soon come to an end, for the staff you seek is around the bend." Chris said.

"Thanks for ruining the mood Chris." Luz deadpans.

"Go on, Chosen One. The Celestial Staff is yours. You've earned it. Farewell, Lady Luz." Nevareth said.

"Farewell, we love you Chosen One." Princess said.

Walking ahead, Luz saw a beautiful staff across a small path.

"I knew it. Oh man, I wish Jake and Stitch were here to see this! When I tell them I found this, he'll be so happy when I use it to help him learn more about the owl Stone ! I knew this world wasn't all gloom and doom like Eda and King said. There is wonder here. And I... I think I came here for a reason. Okay, this is it. Moment of truth." Luz took a deep breath and walked toward the staff.

Slowly reaching out, Luz grabbed it and pulled with all her might, causing a blue light to shine from it as she pulled it free. "Yes! I am the Chosen One! I knew it! I always suspected there was a reason nobody understood my wacky antics back at home. Now I have concrete proof." Luz smiled when suddenly the staff disappeared. "No!" Luz gasped when suddenly the beautiful landscape turned old and dead. "What?"

Racing through the forest, Jake and Stitch were on the Warp Star, racing alongside Eda and King, who were riding her staff because King didn't feel safe with Jake driving.

"Who taught you how to drive? You almost killed me!" King yelled.

"Oh, stop being a baby. You don't see Stitch crying, do you?" Jake said, glancing at Stitch, who had his tongue out.

"Will you two stop fighting? We need to reach Luz," Eda said, actually focusing on steering.

"Sorry," Jake said.

"Okay, I know this guy. He's no wizard. He's what you'd call a puppeteer, a demon who specializes in scamming and manipulating people. He's trying to use Luz to get to me," Eda explained.

"Why is everyone trying to scam us just to get to you?" Jake asked.

Because Eda's a wild card," King said. "She's powerful, unpredictable, and has lots of enemies. Everyone wants a piece of her."

"Great. Just great," Jake muttered. "Well, Luz is our friend, and we're not letting some puppeteer mess with her."

"We're almost there," Eda said, eyes narrowing as the forest began to thin out. "Just hold on a bit longer."

In the now barren lake, Luz was holding the toy sword in fear.

"Luz, the human," Adegast said, emerging from the shadows.

"Magical wizard?" Luz said, surprised.

"Your hubris has failed you, Witch Apprentice," Adegast said, revealing a shadow behind him.

The real Adegast emerged, revealing himself as a large tentacle monster with the wizard hanging from the end like a puppet, along with all the people she met on her journey.

"Okay, Luz. Don't panic. This is classic Chosen One biz. You just have to rescue everybody and defeat the final boss," Luz said nervously.

"I am everybody! You fool, don't you see? I'm no wizard. And you're no Chosen One. I've tricked you," Adegast laughed as Luz's cape, bracelet, and ring glowed, tying her up.

"Betrayed by my own accessories! Why are you doing this?" Luz asked.

"Your mentor has been stealing customers from my potions business for years. She must be destroyed, but when I saw that human with the owl Stone, I knew I couldn't waste this chance," Adegast declared.

"Does everybody have beef with Eda?" Luz asked as all the puppets nodded in agreement.

"And you lured them both to me because you wanted to think you were special like them," Adegast mocked.

"Wrong. No way Eda and Jake are dumb enough to fall for this," Luz said.

"Adegast!" Eda yelled.

"Let her go!" Jake yelled.

"Oh heck," Luz groaned as they both stopped across from them.

"Eda, I have you now," Adegast said, turning to them. "And look, you even brought me the human ."

"That's right. You have me. Now release Luz," Eda said.

"I didn't have to be a part of this," King whined when Adegast grabbed all four of them in his tentacles.

"Stay with us, Luz. Stay with Adegast. We need you here. You could be our Chosen One," Nevareth said.

"You can eat all our tiny foods forever," the Pixie Princess said.

"Luz, why would you want to live in a world where people laugh at you?" Adegast asked.

"It is beautiful," Luz said.

"Luz, no!" Jake said.

"Naga Luz," Stitch said.

"You guys think I'm special," Luz said as Eda, Jake, Stitch, and King started to get crushed. "But it's not real!" Luz declared, snapping out of it and grabbing the toy sword. "I am a Witch's Apprentice. And I'm gonna earn my magic staff the hard way. I believed you, magic man. Now feel my wrath!" Luz stabbed the wizard disguise, and it exploded in a cloud of dust.

"No!" Adegast screamed.

"Luz!" Jake grinned before running over to her and hugging her, making her blush.

"Jake, come on. Did you really think I was actually going to do it?" Luz asked with a smirk.

"No doubt in my mind. By the way, you left this," Jake said, giving her back the bracelet.

"Thanks," Luz said, putting the bracelet back on.

"Also, Jamda made an extra feature just in case," Jake said, tapping on the bracelet. Luz found herself holding a plasma blaster.

"Cool," Luz said before shooting the octopus, making it drop Stitch, King, and Eda.

"Hey, Luz, you might not be the Chosen One, but you do have magic," Jake said.

"What do you mean?" Luz asked.

"Your magic is never giving up," Jake said with a smile.

"Astral Convergence Magic: Aurora Daggers," Jake said as daggers that emitted the mesmerizing light of the aurora appeared.

"You ready to do this?" Jake asked, equipping his daggers like a ninja.

"More than anything," Luz said, gripping her plasma blaster.

"Stitch ready," Stitch said, gripping his plasma blasters with his forearms.

"I'll take this guy down," Jake said.

Adegast's tentacles writhed and lashed out at the group as they prepared for battle.

"Luz, Jake, Stitch, stick together!" Eda commanded, her staff glowing with magic.

"I'll keep him distracted," Jake said, dashing forward with his Aurora Daggers. He sliced through the air, the mesmerizing light disorienting Adegast.

Stitch followed closely, his plasma blasters firing at the tentacles, causing them to retract in pain. "Take that, ugly!" Stitch shouted, his four arms working in unison.

Luz took aim with her new plasma blaster, her hands steady. "Jake, Stitch, keep him busy!" she called out, focusing on her target.

Jake dodged a tentacle swipe and nodded to Luz. "Got it! Eda, give us some cover!"

Eda raised her staff and conjured a barrier of swirling light around them, deflecting Adegast's attacks. "Keep moving, everyone!" she urged.

King, staying behind Eda, watched in awe. "You got this, Luz!" he cheered.

Luz fired a shot at the base of Adegast's tentacles, causing the monster to roar in anger. "You're not getting away with this!" she shouted, determination in her eyes.

Adegast sneered, "You think you can defeat me? Pathetic!"

Jake leaped into the air, his daggers glowing brightly. "We're not alone, Adegast! We fight together!" He slashed down, striking a critical blow to one of the tentacles.

Stitch followed up with a barrage of plasma shots, hitting Adegast squarely in the face. "Boom!" Stitch exclaimed, grinning.

Eda channeled her magic through her staff, launching a powerful blast at Adegast's core. "This ends now!"

Luz saw her chance. She aimed carefully and fired, hitting Adegast in his weak spot. The monster let out a final, agonized scream before collapsing into a pile of dust and shadows.

Jake landed beside Luz, breathing heavily. "We did it," he said, giving her a proud smile.

"Yeah, we did," Luz replied, her eyes shining with relief and triumph.

Stitch ran over and hugged them both. "Good job, Luz! Good job, Jake!"

Eda lowered her staff and sighed in relief. "Not bad, kids. Not bad at all."

King jumped up and down excitedly. "You guys were amazing!"

Luz looked at her friends, a warm feeling of belonging filling her heart. "We make a pretty good team, huh?"

Jake nodded, putting an arm around her shoulders. "The best."

Stitch wagged his tail happily. "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

Eda smirked. "Alright, enough with the sap. Let's get out of here before something else shows up."

"Oh yeah, before we go, I've got something to show you guys," Eda said, hopping on her staff. "Come on, come on," she urged, taking off into the sky.

"Let's follow her," Jake said before creating his Warp Star. Luz, Stitch, and reluctantly, King, jumped on it as they took off after her.

As the sun was setting, Eda was sitting on her staff while Jake, Stitch, Luz, and King were sitting on the Warp Star.

"Okay, you can look," Eda said. They took off their blindfolds and got an amazing view of the Boiling Isles.

"Whoa," Luz said.

"Amazing," Jake added.

"Bootifa," Stitch said.

"The bones of the isles. Up close, the isles can be slimy," Eda began.

"And very stinky," King added.

"And gross, but if you look at it from a different perspective," Eda said as they saw a shooting star.

"It's beautiful," Luz said.

"I gotta say, it's much cooler in person than just a dream," Jake said.

"Stitch love it," Stitch added.

"Eda, how did you know that wizard was lying?" Luz asked.

"Look, kid, everyone wants to believe they're 'chosen.' But if we all waited around for a prophecy to make us special, we'd die waiting. And that's why you need to choose yourself," Eda chuckled.

"Does that mean you'll give me a magic staff of my own?" Luz asked.

"Not yet, but maybe someday," Eda said.

As they marveled at the view, Stitch suddenly let out a loud burp, startling everyone.

"Stitch! Really?" Luz exclaimed, laughing.

"Excuse me," Stitch said sheepishly, patting his belly.

"That's our Stitch," Eda chuckled, shaking her head. "Always making his presence known."

King giggled, adding, "At least it's not as bad as those shadow creatures."

"True," Jake agreed, grinning. "Those were way worse."

Luz looked around at her friends and mentor, feeling a sense of gratitude. "Thanks, guys. I couldn't have done any of this without you."

"We make a pretty good team, don't we?" Eda said proudly, glancing at each of them.

"Yeah, we do," Luz nodded, smiling warmly.

"So, what's next on our adventure?" King asked eagerly, looking towards Eda for guidance.

Eda leaned back on her staff, pondering. "Well, for now, let's enjoy the moment. But who knows? The Boiling Isles always have surprises waiting for us."

And with that, they continued on their journey, united by friendship and the promise of more adventures to come.

That night, everyone was back at the Owl House. Finn and Asher flew through the window in their owl forms.

"What did we miss?" Finn asked.

"Not much, just Chosen One business," Jake replied, lounging on the couch with his spell book.

"Ugh, how dare you! You are the definition of evil!" King declared dramatically.

At the dinner table, King struggled to hold his chopsticks. "Why must you thwart me? I just want to eat!" King roared, which caused Eda and Luz to burst into laughter.

Stitch began playfully throwing food at King.

"Hey Jake, come over here! Stitch is trying to start a food fight with King!" Luz called out.

"Yeah, I'm coming," Jake said, as Finn and Asher followed him into the kitchen.

Jake set his spell book down and joined Luz and Stitch at the table. Finn and Asher perched nearby, observing the playful chaos.

"Stitch, easy on the food," Jake chuckled, grabbing a roll from the table and tossing it back towards Stitch with a grin.

Stitch caught it mid-air with surprising agility, chittering happily. "Food fight! Fun!"

"Stitch, no more food fights," Eda warned from the stove, where she was preparing something that smelled deliciously spicy.

"Aww, come on, Eda. Let them have a little fun," Luz pleaded, grinning mischievously as she eyed King, who was now trying to fend off both Stitch's food and Finn and Asher's curious pecks.

"I just want to eat in peace!" King protested, ducking a stray pea that Stitch had lobbed in his direction.

"You're no fun, King," Finn teased, transforming back into his humanoid form and ruffling King's Fur playfully.

"Oof, you guys are relentless," King grumbled, but his expression softened into a reluctant smile.

Meanwhile, Jake leaned in closer to Luz. "So, what's next on our magical agenda? Any plans for mastering that new spell of yours?"

Luz's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Definitely! I want to learn how to create protective wards next. And maybe see if I can tweak that plasma blaster to have a stun setting."

Always thinking ahead," Jake said approvingly, glancing at Eda for approval.

Eda turned from the stove, a knowing smirk on her face. "Sounds like my little apprentices are growing up fast. Protective wards and stun settings, huh? Just remember to clean up after your experiments."

"We will, Eda," Luz promised, beaming with newfound determination.

"And we'll be there to help," Jake added, glancing at Stitch and King, who had finally given up the food fight and settled down to eat.

As they enjoyed their meal together, the Owl House felt warmer and more alive than ever, filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the promise of many more magical adventures to come.

Luz's bracelet suddenly started beeping, breaking the dinner-time peace. Without delay, she answered it.

"Hello? Is anybody there?" Jumda asked, his tone urgent.

"Jumda!" Jake, Stitch, and Luz exclaimed in surprise, while the others at the table looked bewildered, not recognizing the name.

"I've been trying to get in contact with you guys for a day now. Where are you? We've got a big problem," Jumda said urgently.

"It's kind of complicated," Jake replied cautiously.

"What's the problem?" Luz asked, her concern growing.

"Someone has released my elemental experiments," Jumda explained.

"You mean like Stitch?" Jake asked nervously.

"Yes, exactly like 626," Jumda confirmed.

"Oh, shoot," Jake muttered under his breath.

"We need to go home now," Luz declared firmly.

"Stitch needs to find cousins," Stitch added quickly.

"Alright, everyone, looks like you guys are going to meet our 'ohana," Jake said with a hint of worry.

Eda pressed the portal key, and with a hum, the portal opened. They all quickly went through it, returning to the human realm.
