Chapter Thirteen: A Miraculous Recovery

Everyone was relieved that they had saved Bongo and Asha from the river, but their relief quickly turned to concern when Bongo gently laid Asha down on the ground.

Bobo: "Bongo, are you okay?" He asked, worry etched on his face.

Bongo: "Yeah, I'm okay." He replied, but his eyes were fixed on Asha.

Kion: "Is she okay?" He stepped closer, his voice tense.

Bobo knelt beside her and pressed his ear to her chest.

Bobo: "She's not breathing!" His eyes widened in horror.

Bongo: "No!" His heart shattered, tears welled in his eyes.

But he wasn't going to let his sister die. He pressed down on her tiny chest trying to revive her.

Bongo: "Come on, Asha! Please don't leave!" He cried, his hands shaking.

Bobo, unable to watch, buried his face in Fuli's fur, his small body trembling with sobs. Fuli nuzzled him softly, offering what comfort she could.

The rest of The Lion Guard watched in silent support, their expressions filled with fear and hope.

Bongo: "Wake up, Asha! Please wake up! Please!" He continued pressing down on Asha's chest, tears streaming down his face.

But Asha remained still. Desperate, Bongo held her small hand and leaned his forehead against her.

Bongo: "I love you." He whispered, kissing her forehead as his tears soaked her fur.

Just then, Asha gasped for air, her small voice returning.

Asha: *inhales sharply* "Ah-Kah-kah Ah-kah-kah-kah-kah-kah-kah-kah-kah." Her tiny coughs filled the air, and with it, a wave of relief washed over everyone.

Bongo: "She's awake!" His face lit up with joy.

Bobo, still leaning against Fuli, looked up in disbelief.

Bobo: "She's okay!" He quickly wiped his tears away.

Bunga: "Unbungalievable!" He cheered.

Beshte: "Poa." He smiled warmly.

Asha slowly opened her eyes, blinking as she saw her brothers smiling down at her.

Asha: *baby voice* "Bongo? Bobo?" She said, her small voice trembled.

Bongo and Bobo: "Asha!" They cried together, wrapping their little sister in a tight hug as tears of joy filled their eyes.

Asha: "Hee hee hee." She giggled softly, her arms around her brothers.

Bobo: "Thank goodness you're okay!" He whispered, still overwhelmed with emotion.

Bongo: "We thought we lost you!" He added, his voice cracking with relief.

Bobo: "Don't ever leave us again." He pleaded, holding her close.

Asha: "Kah-Kah." She coughed softly.

Bongo and Bobo gently patted her back, their hearts full of gratitude.

Bongo: "Are you okay?" Bongo asked softly.

Asha: *baby voice* "Yeah, I'm okay." She smiled.

Bobo: "Wow, Bongo, I can't believe you saved her." He turned to Bongo, still in awe.

Bongo: "I couldn't let our sister die." He smiled, wiping his tears.

Asha leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.

Asha: *baby voice* "Mwah. Thanks for saving me, Bongo," She said in her sweet voice.

Bongo: "Anything for my little sister." He replied, hugging her tightly.

Fuli: "I'm proud of you, Bongo. You swam to save Asha." She spoke up, who had been watching with pride.

Bongo: "Heh, I guess I'm still learning how to swim." He blushed, rubbing the back of his head.

Kion: "That takes a lot of courage and bravery." He stepped forward, nodding in admiration.

Bongo: "Asha, I want to apologize again. It was my fault you almost got hurt. You're the best little sister I could ever have, and I love you so much." He looked at Asha with love in his eyes.

Bobo: "We both love you so much." He added.

The three baboons embraced in a heartfelt hug, their bond stronger than ever. The Lion Guard stood by, smiling as they watched the baboon siblings make up.

Later, as the rain cleared, the group returned to the hole to cover it once more, ensuring the water wouldn't burst through again. This time, Bongo, Bobo, and Asha eagerly helped.

Kion: "Great job, everyone." He said, his tail swishing with satisfaction.

Bunga: "Yeah, hopefully the rocks will block the hole completely this time." He added with a grin.

Beshte: "You said it, Little B." He chuckled.

Ono: "Hope you're right." He added, still cautious

As they finished, the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the Pride Lands.

Fuli: "Hey, it's starting to get dark. I think it's time to take you three home." She glanced at the sky and turned to the baboons.

Bongo, Bobo, and Asha, after such an eventful day, were completely exhausted.

Bobo: "Yeah, we should probably get back home." He rubbed his eyes, his voice tired.

Bongo: *yawns* "Yeah, our parents must be wondering where we are." He added with a yawn.

Asha, too sleepy to respond, had already fallen asleep on the grass. Bunga gently picked her up in his arms.

Bunga: "I've got her." He said with a soft smile.

Fuli: "Bongo, Bobo, get on my back. You can rest while we walk you back home." She crouched down.

Bongo and Bobo: "Okay." They mumbled, climbing onto Fuli's back, their eyes already drooping with sleep.

With Bunga carrying Asha and Fuli carrying Bongo and Bobo, The Lion Guard began the peaceful walk back to their home, the baboon siblings resting after a long and emotional day.
