Their day at the Dinosaur Exhibit was near perfect. Like the zoo, it was educational and fun, qualities both surgeons liked to incorporate in their family trips where possible. Callie was fascinated with the fossils (funnily enough) and took an extra-long time in the museum section, whilst the animatronics in the garden area caught their daughter's eye. Arizona's favourite part was watching her two most favourite people, enjoying their aura, two sets of beautiful brown eyes lighting up every time they moved on to the next section. She would occasionally scan the information cards but was more content in enjoying their enjoyment. They had intermittently held hands, but Sofia tended to monopolise them, and that was absolutely fine with all parties.

As the time approached 12:30, Callie tore herself away from a very awesome looking Parasaurolophus crest and hugged Arizona from behind. "Hey, wanna get something to eat? There's a little picnic area over there and a canteen that sells sandwiches and stuff, I'll grab us something whilst you two find a seat?"

She knew Callie didn't register what she said, but just hearing her girlfriend say 'sandwiches' brought all kinds of warmness to her heart. "Sounds good, I'll grab a table."

"Save me a seat?"

"Of course my love, we'll be right over there."

Prior to the excursion, it was decided today would be the day they would tell Sofia about their reconciliation. Callie was getting tired of trudging back to the guest room in the middle of the night and the blonde was no better, mumbling under her breath in frustration as she watched her leave. Maybe the exhibit wasn't the ideal setting or orthodox, but when did these two ever do normal?

Once they all hand their lunches, Callie took the lead. She gave Arizona reassuring nod and turned full attention to her mini-me, who was happily tucking into her ham sandwich, blissfully unaware of the two nervous states next to her. "Hey Sof, erm… in life, you know you have a mummy T-Rex and a daddy T-Rex-"

Arizona nearly choked on her own sandwich, stopping Callie mid-sentence. "Where the hell are you going with this, Calliope?"

"Shh, I'm…" in that small moment of silence, they lost the attention of their daughter. Now more focused on snacking on her chips and swinging her legs, taking in the surroundings rather than listening to her mothers.

The blonde spoke in a hushed tone. "You do realise this is about us getting back together and you moving in, right? Not the ' where do babies come from' talk? And who's the daddy in this scenario anyway?!"

Callie wiggled her eyebrows. "You."

Oh that triggered a mega blush. "Focus, Dr Torres."

Arizona had to hide behind Callie at that point, she didn't want to have to provide an explanation if their daughter asked why she'd suddenly gone bright red. Attempting to take the lead again, Callie continued. "So Sof, think of it as… two ex-dinosaur wives-"

Blue eyes rolled, using a dinosaur analogy wasn't going to work.

Although, it did pique an interest from their daughter. "What type of dinosaur wives?"

"The, erm…" Callie looked around and spotted a triceratops. That's a good one, it's instantly recognisable, not scary, herbivore, it's perfect. "The horny one-"

Through gritted teeth. " Horned Torres, the horned one!"

"Right sorry, the horned one." She whispered to herself, "God I'm awful at this."

Arizona muttered off to the side. "You won't hear me arguing."

Ignoring the comment, when you fall down you get back up, walk tall Torres. "Okay, Sof, so when two dinosaurs love each other-"

Nope, Arizona wasn't going to let this continue, she nudged Callie aside and met Sofia's gaze, gently cupping her chin and softly stroking her cheek with her thumb. "Baby girl, you know how you and mummy moved in when mummy was hurt?" She received a nod in response. "Well, how would you feel if you both stayed forever, and we all lived together again all the time?" They didn't receive an acknowledgement to that question and both surgeons felt a small wave of dread. But Arizona persevered. "Your mummy & I love you so, so much that we want us three to all be together all of the time. That means we will live in the same house, eat meals together, watch movies together, come watch you play soccer, read bedtime stories, build forts and have awesome days out, allllll together. You and mummy will be moving in with me, and we can decorate your room again any way you want, it can be green, pink, purple or every colour under the rainbow. How does that sound?"

Sofia smiled. "That sounds good, I like it when we're together."

Okay good, deep breath. "That also means your mummy and I will be sleeping in the same bedroom, giving each other little kisses and holding hands. Would you be okay with that?"

There was pause, their daughter clearly taking time to process the information. "We all move in and be together forever?" The smile on her face was stunning like Callie's, heartfelt like Mark's and mesmerising like Arizona's. Sofia was clearly thrilled with this news.

The hope in their child's voice choked Arizona, Callie took back control. "Yes sweet girl, we'll all be together, forever, you, me and mumma."

"Can I have anything from the shop?"

Well that took an unexpected turn. "Err, yes?"

"Can we go pick now?"

Really? Being together as a loving family, spending time with each other was just as important to the deal as having a toy? She'd clearly been spending way too much time with her godmother. Both mothers were still in some sort of stunned trance as they finished their lunch and cleared the table. They made their way to the gift shop, Sofia happily skipping ahead.

"So you're telling me, we essentially just had to buy her a toy and she'd have been okay?"

Callie received a perplexed shrug in response but both halted when their daughter suddenly stopped and turned round. "Mummy, mumma…" they looked at Sofia, was the ball about to drop? Was she genuinely okay with this? She was too young to remember when their marriage started to crumble, but she was older now, and wise beyond her years. She knew their situation wasn't what society deemed 'normal', she had seen both parents wipe away the odd tear when talking about the other, when there was a brief awkward silence when exchanging custody. But she had also seen how they had been recently - family days out, movie nights, family baking, forts, playgrounds, bedtime stories, car sing-alongs… if being a family meant this, then there was no doubt. She gave them another breathtaking smile. "…I can't wait to be a family again."

Oh she was glaring, if eyes could burn, the focus of her attention would be in need of every firefighter at Station 19. It had been a few days since their trip to the exhibit and now Sofia knew her mothers shared a bed, all three had enjoyed family snuggles that morning. However, the sight in front of her triggered that well known feeling of jealously, it was bubbling to the surface. "Who's that?"

Teddy looked over to where her friend was indicating and smirked. There stood Callie and the person she suspected Arizona was referring to. "Dr Callie Torres, ortho, kid called Sofia, hot-"

Her tone was warning. "Haha, I know that Dr Altman, now unless you want me to share the contents of our texts regarding Owen-"

"Dr Lisa White, on a consult from Mass Gen."

Blue eyes narrowed. "She's getting awfully close to Callie."

Was she? Didn't look like it to Teddy but what did she know? "Really? I mean, it looks like a normal distance to me. No closer than you and I are right now."

They'd already established their reconciliation was the worst kept secret, and whilst Teddy was technically allowed to know, it was evident their friends were keeping their own little secret, so Arizona wanted to keep her cards close to her chest. "I just don't think it's professional for two colleagues to date each oth- did she just touch her arm? Her bare, naked, forearm?! That's- that's workplace harassment, right? Fuck that!"

Teddy arched an eyebrow and pulled the blonde aside. "Erm, I mean technically they're not colleagues and you do know we're both kinda seeing someone we work with, right? In fact, you were actually married to the same colleague you're now seeing so- Arizona, where you going? Arizona? Arizona!"

She made it halfway to her destination before she was abruptly stopped. "Robbins, we have a case, stop marching and let's go to your office. Don't make me hit you with my stick."

How did the woman know she was marching?! How did she even know to stop her where she did?! How the hell did she- you know what, it didn't matter, Herman always just knew. "But- but-"

"Yes I know I have a hot butt, stop looking at it, I'm blind, not stupid. Now come on, you're boring me."

"But- but-"

"Remind me to get Shepherd to give you a brain scan. Your vocabulary is concerning me. Come on, a foetus needs you."

She quietly huffed, which apparently Nicole Herman could also sense. "Calm down Robbins, once I've utilised your skills, I'll let you go and you can go back stalking your ex-wife."

"I'm not-"

"Now Robbins, I'm sure Dr Torres will be done with Dr White soon."

I mean come on, how the hell?! She turned to leave with her mentor, but her focus remained on the pair, oh they were so not done.

"So, we're going to the national veteran's support convention? That's so cool! We can share our new prototypes and get more of an insight on what assistance they need. We ask if the guys from Triple S want to come or- or give us advice or- if they want us to raise anything. Owen this is huge! How did you manage that?"

Owen was sat on the other side of the attending's lounge; he had just shared the good news - they had been invited to the quarterly US army veterans' convention in Chicago, specifically those dealing with amputations, limb deformities and botched reconstructions. They'd both attended several sessions with one of the local support groups, 'Seattle Service Support', with the aim of understanding how orthopaedics (and Callie's continued innovations) can help wounded soldiers, but to take this nationally would propel them to unknown levels. Their joint recent publication on enhanced prosthetics had caught the eye of senior army personnel and well, here they were. Didn't hurt the trauma surgeon had seen action and both received endorsements from Major Theodora Altman. "Hey, I'm army, what can I say?"

Her smile screamed excitement. "Owen this will be huge, the publicity, awareness, funding, research, imagine how many people we can help?" Before getting too carried away, she took pause. She knew she could trust him; they had become relatively close and she was well aware at just how much he had supported Arizona with her breast cancer scare and Simon. It was only at this moment however that she realised just how much of her time their expanding venture was going to utilise. Add the Seahawks & the Mariners to the mix and she suddenly felt a tight squeeze in the pit of her stomach. "I err, if this really takes off, how much time do you think we'd need to dedicate to it?"

The door to the lounge slammed shut, the lock clicked.

Focused. "There you are."

Off came the lab coat, thrown into oblivion.

Callie turned; a blonde, lust-filled woman was storming her way over. "Ari-"

Climbing over the arm of the sofa. "I've been looking everywhere for you."

Off came the scrub top, discarded to who knows where, leaving Arizona exposed in just a pink bra and, thankfully, scrub pants. It had only taken her five paces to abandon two items of clothing and straddle Callie's lap, the force of which pushed her down.

She grabbed her by the lapels of her lab coat and forcibly pulled her up for a searing kiss. "If that woman thinks she's getting her hands on what's mine- OH MY GOD! OWEN!"

The trauma surgeon was sat there, Arizona's lab coat at his feet and her navy-blue scrub top hanging off his head, covering up the left side of his face. If Callie wasn't pinned under her girlfriend, she would have removed her own lab coat to cover up the blonde. but she was rendered immobile. Owen sat there frozen, confused, he carefully grabbed Arizona's top and, with his eyes tightly closed, held it out in front of him. "Here erm, err Dr Robbins, I- I think this is yours."

She grabbed the scrub top and quickly put it back on, blushing profusely. "Thank you, I err, didn't see you there Owen, sorry." She quickly removed herself from on top of Callie and made her way to the coffee pot. No idea where to look, no idea where to go, no idea how she let her lust-filled state consume her so much that she near enough stripped naked in front of a colleague.

Whilst those two were embarrassed by the little incident, Callie decided to have some fun. "I mean it's not anything he's not seen before-"

Horrified(!) "CALLIOPE!"

"What? You, Yang, Shepherd, Altman… just my boobs left to see right?"

Arizona scoffed as she grabbed her lab coat from Owen (who had been holding it out for her to take since she'd grabbed her scrub top, eyes still closed) and put it over Callie's front.

"Absolutely not."
