The next day we told moms that the two of us were going to the mall. However we met up with Jax, I had to text him about the change of plans. He didn't mind, thankfully. We were now making our way to meet her. The place we found was about an hour away walking.

"Are we really going to walk all the way there?" Mariana asked.

"You asked me to come, deal with it." I said.

"Ugggghhhhhh." She groaned.

About a minute later a familiar car pulled up next to us. The passenger window rolled down. It was Devin, thankfully.

"Hey, you guys need a ride?" He asked.

"Yes, finally." Mariana complained.

We all got into the car and he began driving us to the woman's house.

Something was off about him today. He kept looking around the streets and at his rear view mirror. He looked to be paranoid.

"Everything ok?" I asked.

"Yea,...I just….when we come back I need to talk to you." Devin explained.

I was confused but I nodded. I began to worry what if this is something serious? I don't think I've seen this side of him.

When we arrived at the place we noticed how bad the neighborhood was. People all around us were watching us. It didn't necessarily bother me or Jax and Devin for that matter. However, Mariana was a different story. She's staying close to us and looks terrified. The four of us knocked on the woman's door.

It didn't take long for the woman to open the door.

"What do you want?" She asked, rudely.

I can't blame her, four random kids showing up at her door.

"Hi, we're looking for…" Jax starts but is cut off by the woman. "If you're looking for money you've got the wrong house."

"No, we're here for Cindy Jane." I informed her.

This woman wasn't going to listen to us and we'd have better odds if we are forward with her.

"That girl has been gone for years. Couldn't tell you anything." She responded.

"Did you remember where she moved to or the last place you saw her?" Jax jumped in.

The woman thought for a minute then told us the last place she remembered was one town over. She gave us the address then told us she doesn't have contact with her anymore.

We headed back to Devin's place. He wanted to speak with me alone so we went to the kitchen while Jax and Mariana talked in the living room.

"I need to tell you something." Devin said. I was now listening carefully to him, he took a deep breath before continuing.

"Andrew betrayed me…he told them where I was." I was attempting to figure out who he was referring to by 'them'.

"Who is 'them'?" I asked.

"Remember the gang I told you was looking for me?" Oh no, this isn't good.

"It's them?" He nodded his head.

I took a second to process before I asked my next question.

"What now?" He looked at me.

"I'm not sure. I want to disappear for a bit but if I ask anyone for help I run the risk of being told on." He explained.

"Guessing your party and drug friends aren't as loyal as you hope for them to be." I commented.

"Nope, for the right price they'd talk. That's how it works around here." He confirmed.

Of course living out in the streets I knew that. In fact I learned a lot from Kennedy but the streets taught me enough. Speaking of, maybe he would…

"What if I help you disappear? I know someone who owes me and he can give you a fake passport." I asked. I can tell he's considering it.

"Is he reliable and trustworthy?"

"Yes." I answered without hesitation. For someone who I hate I trust him too much but if I ask him I know he won't fail me.

"Ok, let me know once you're able to help me out of here." He said, and I nodded.

"I need a favor too."

"What is it?" Devin asked.

"I need to go to your warehouse and you can't ask questions." I told him and he understood.

"Thank you." He thanked me before walking to Jax and Mariana.

I went outside and called him.

"Look who called." Kennedy answered.

"Can you get a passport and ID?" I asked.

"Foster family that bad?"

"It's not for me, it's for a friend." I informed him.

"Ok, I'll get it but I need a few days and a picture of him for the ID and passport." He said.

"I…thank you." I struggled. Despite the things he put me through I end up needing him and he always comes through.

"You know I care." He said before hanging up.

I pulled Devin away and let him know the plan and took a picture of him. I sent Kennedy the information he needed.

Mariana and I went home in time for dinner.

"So how did everyone spend their weekend?" Stef asked.

Mariana and I look at each other. Then she begins to speak and tell the family about 'our day at the mall.
