"Wow, can't believe I'm here..." Red muttered.

After the flight followed by booking rooms at the Disneyland Hotel and settling in, the Delarie Family were at Disneyland along with everyone else.

"Where should we go first? Where should we go first?" Michelle asked excitedly as all the kids minus Corbin began to run around Main Street.

"Somewhere where we can still see you!" Polly called out.

"Wow, this place is so big!" Amy said as she looked around with wonder. "I'm actually tempted to see where we can go first as well!"

The families decided to split up to cover the most ground. Red, Emmy, Madeline, Angela, and Ted decided to check out Adventureland first.

"Well, where to first?" Angela suggested; her attention focused on the ride for a Yeti themed ride.

"I gotta ride Jungle Cruise, just saying!" Red began. "My folks and I snuck in to see it when I was a kid. Good times."

"I'll admit, I am interested in how they do a nature adventure ride." Emmy mused. On the trip, she learnt Animal Kingdom, the part she was most interested in, was no longer running, so she figured this would be a good replacement. That and the image of Red as a dashing explorer….

The Declairs immediately caught the possibility of what this could mean for the newly minted couple, and while Ted and Angela both noted to ride that later, they needed to find something for Maddie….

"Oh, can we go on the Indiana Jones ride?" Madeline begged her parents. "Please, mom? Please, dad?"

Angela smiled, figuring Madeline wanted to give the couple a ride alone

"Wait, Indiana Jones isn't Disney!" Ted started, only for his assurance to waver. "...Right?"

"Its part of Lucasfilms, and when Disney bought it for Star Wars…" Red explained.

"…Nothing was sacred." The father sighed, getting Red to nod in agreement.

"Oh dear, sweetie." Angela cooed to her daughter, a smirk on her face all the same. "Looks like daddy is too sad to ride this with us. I guess we'll just have to go it alone. Us poor, defenseless girls…"

"No such thing exists, ma'am." Red cut in, Emmy nodding in agreement. "And even if there is, neither you or Maddie are it."

Mother and daughter Delair blushed at this, and Emmy turned to Ted.

"I suppose you could sit this one out, sir. Let all the other men see the madam…try and flirt in vain as she dreams of your warm, brave, loving embrace…."

Ted, his ego boosted, took his daughter by the hand and wrapped an arm around Angela.

"Onwards!"

Red and Emmy chuckled as the Delair clan separated, the father shooting them a mouthing of 'thank you' as they entered the short line.

With the parents and their charge distracted, the cyborg lead his lady love onto the cruise. Despite it all, Emmy lost herself in the experience as much as Red did, in awe of the animal animatronics, the sounds and rocking of their boat, along with the story the ride told.

At one point, Emmy foundself being shielded from water by Red's arm

"A little water wouldn't make me short circuit, Red." Emmy assured Red with a smile.

"I know." Red smiled. "Still, you rather like being as impeccable as possible and well…what gentleman doesn't do his part to help keep that?"

Emmy smiled and nuzzled her nose with Red's as they continued to enjoy the ride, smiling at the end as he helped her up and they decided to explore the other rides, and take a few pictures with some of the staff in costumes, who were more then happy to do so.

At the happiest place on earth with his adoptive family and the love of his life? Suffice to say, this was the happiest Red had been in a long time.

The Delaires soon met up with the Mendenhalls at New Orleans Square. Corbin's father had been setting up a reservation at Club 33 later while Ted suggested they do the Blue Bayou since it gave patrons a chance to view the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

The kids thoroughly enjoyed the Pirates, even if the ride was darker and less upbeat than the movies. Red himself found himself remembering some of his adventures, but the cheers, screams of exitcement and his company made him enjoy it all.

And then came the other ride that ahd been on Red's to ride list; the Haunted Mansion. The kids, dads, Molly and Emmy all waited in line, the kids trying to scare the others while Red just bounced in his steps.

"He's excited for this." Molly smirked.

"He saw the movies this ride inspired." Emmy explained. "He actually liked the first one more."

"The comedy?" Molly asked, carrying a catalogue of Disney movies based on the rides.

"The message of the movie was nice and Eddie Murphy made him and his dad laugh." Emmy explained, her smile growing when Red assured the kids everything would go fine on the ride when they started to get antsy, the next ride being their's.

"I understand why you fell for him." Molly said, delighting in Emmy's blush with a chuckle. "Kind, brave and doing the right thing. Heck, it's those reasons I fell for him too."

Emmy paused mid-step and she processed what she had heard.

"Wait, what?"

"…did I say that out loud?" Molly asked.

Emmy, understandably shocked by this, simply motioned for Molly to wait a moment as she stepped aside and then let her go forward.

"I have an update coming. Enjoy the ride!" Emmy lied as she excused herself.

After boarding the ride, Molly insisted that Red sit in the middle of the carriage with her on the left and Emmy on the right. Red didn't complain too much but he was confused by the looks Emmy and Molly were giving each other and him.

"Amy, come on, Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster is right there!" Ajay excitedly said as he pulled his Nandroid companion along.

"Oh, is it fun, Red? I'd love to know about it more!"

"From what I've read, it's pretty fun." Red smiled. "The laser blasters have terrible aim though."

Red then paused and turned to Emmy, who seemed a little unsure about some things still but smiled and gave her a quick embrace.

"Don't worry, I'll be right back before you know it."

Madeline took Emmy's hand. "Come on, Emmy! Dad is getting us the quick path to Star Tours!"

Red joined Amy and Ajay on Astro Blaster. Needless to say, they definitely had a lot of fun, though Red's cybernetic analytics allowed him to calculate and line up his ray-blaster shots to get the highest score.

"WOHOO!" Ajay beamed as he ran forward. "That was the best ride ever!"

"Ajay, stay where we can see you!" Amy and Red called out, before the cyborg's arm stretched out and pulled the boy back.

"I share your excitement, buddy. But we don't want to lose you." Red smiled., getting Ajay to nod in understanding. He then handed the boy to his Nanoid, who smiled and hugged Red

"And that is why I love you, Reddie." Molly beamed as she walked towards the exit, asking Ajay what he wanted to go on next

"Um, Em?" Red messaged his girlfriend, still in a bit of a trance. "We…we may have a situation."

While at Frontierland an hour or so later, Emmy gathered her friends aside and sat them down on a bench.

"I apologize for the bluntness of this but…how do you feel about Red?"

The other Nandroids tensed at the question and looked down at their feet before they began to speak.

"He's sweet, brave and looks out for everyone." Amy started, a smile on her face. "He never gets annoyed when it takes me longer to process things and never seems to get tired explaining things to me."

"…You already heard my thoughts." Molly said to Emmy, but seeing her friends, sighed and repeated herself. "Red is compassionate, helpful and treats me like a person despite having many reasons to not. And he's a gentleman through and through, unlike those…certain folks..."

The Nanoids all shuddered at that and shared a warm smile on the image of Red opening doors for them, helping in cleaning and cooking and keeping the kids in control.

"Full disclosure, I never thought and or cared about love." Fanny started after she composed herself and smiled. "Red is my friend and co-babysitter, of which I respect him and am grateful for. And like you've all said; he goes out every day to try and keep peace while still having a heart of gold. I mean look at happy he is."

Red was getting a few autographs from the mascots while also keeping the kids from wondering off, not a care in his head.

It was as plain as day: they all loved Red just as much as Emmy did.

"Oh dear..." Emmy muttered, realizing things were much more complicated than they needed to be.

Knightmare Lord A/N:

I recently went to Disneyland so I was able to work on this thanks to the inspiration I got!
