Magic/Written word

A man awoke in a vast garden on a hill with many white spider lilies and a single elder tree in the middle of the hill. Underneath the tree was a small table with two chairs, waiting for a recipient. The man looked down and saw he looked the same as he last remembered, clothes and all.

He was a fairly tall 6' foot white US male with brown hair and green eyes no facile hair and aged 22. He possessed a lean and lightly toned build with sprinklings of tattoos across his body. He wore a white button up dress shirt, black denim jeans and black slide on shoes. The main thing of note however was the large amount of red blood staining his white shirt and caking the side of his head.

'I guess it really did happen, I'm dead or at least in a coma' he thought to himself.

Sadly he wasn't looking when he went to cross the street and was hit with a motorcycle into oncoming traffic being hit by more cars and such luckily dying soon after the first hit.

"Well I guess there's nothing I can do now. You know I didn't think the afterlife would look like this but it's not the worst, at least I'm not in hell" he spoke out loud.

Then he felt a presence appear behind him and turned around.

When he looked he saw a sight he would never forget. It was a woman in black midnight hooded robes with the hood down. The woman stood at a tall 7'2 and had raven black hair with streaks of blood crimson that went in a strait flow down to her mid back. She possessed fair, nearly deathly pale, skin that still somehow made her look all the more enchanting, while her ovel eyes where a blood crimson like in her hair.

She was smiling a beautiful smile at him that put him at ease. He also noticed it seemed like she was just barely not touching the ground. She was also holding a long black scythe, even the metal was black.

"Hello Jack, I am the one known as Lady Death. It's a pleasure to meet you" she spoke in a sweet and ethereal voice.

The now named Jack stared at Lady Death for a bit.

'I guess I can rule out coma then' he thought.

Lady Death laughed and said "Yes you can rule out coma and yes I can hear your thoughts while you are here as this is my domain."

Jack was a bit shocked but accepted it easily enough since he was always a more relaxed and go with the flow kind of guy.

"It is a pleasure to meet you as well Lady Death" Jack spoke "but may I ask why I'm here?"

"Yes, but first let me get into something more suitable for conversation" she said.

She then waved her hand over herself and her robes transformed into black backless dress with straps holding it up and to conceal her sizeable bust. It went down to her ankles and possessed red strips going down the dress. Due to it stopping where it did it showed her feet which were covered in red 7 inch high heels and her feet lowered down to touch the ground. She also shrunk down in height to a more reasonable 6'2, but with the heels it didn't do as much. Her scythe also disappeared and turned into a silver chain neckless with a charm of the scythe hanging from it.

She then pointed at the table and chairs underneath the tree and started walking.

"Follow me, we'll talk there in a more comfortable manner" she said.

Jack nodded and followed her to the table and chairs. They sat down and Lady Death waved her hand over the empty table and suddenly it was filled with sweets and pastries as well as having two cups of tea, one in front of each of them.

Jack took a smell of the tea and realized what it was.

"Jasmine green tea?" he asked.

She merely smiled "I know it's the only tea you drink and you drink it strait, nothing added. I know a lot about you actually."

Jack simply nodded and drank from his tea finding it to be the perfect temperature.

"So, why you're here. I'll be blunt I need help and I'm hoping you'll be the one to help me" Lady Death spoke after she took a sip of her own tea.

Jack was shocked, he was not expecting this.

"What do you need my help for?" he asked.

Lady Death sighed then spoke up "First there are somethings you need to understand. Starting off your world or universe is one of many and they all follow different rules and laws. There are basically infinite worlds and thus any form of reality is possible. Second I am the Lady Death of all of them because you see I am not a god I am what is known as a Primordial, beings that are concepts given form, shape, and thought. So in other words I am not the god of death I am death."

Jack was somewhat reeling a bit for a while because of one of the major scientific theories of his world was just confirmand, one that he believed in to. Also because of the fact of how truly powerful the being in front of him is. He came back to his senses in short order thankfully due to his personality.

"Ok, I understand" he said to Lady Death. She nodded and continued speaking.

"Well you see because of the many worlds, worlds like Harry Potter exist and in one of them a problem has arisen. You see Harry is supposed to be my champion in those worlds, even when Neville is the boy-who-lived Harry is my champion. It's something I worked out with Father Fate, another Primordial, long ago. What my champion dose is try to keep people from miss-using magic in ways it is not intended in relation to my domains. Things like become immortal or soul sacrifice. Killing Tom Riddle or ensuring his death is one such thing."

"I understand" Jack says.

Lady Death carries on "So the problem comes from the fact that in this particle world that while similar to the one that you know that was written and published, there are many, many differences. That world is more brutal, follows rules more in line to what the Primordial beings would want and the humans of the magical world, especially Europe even more so Great Britain are corrupt. This all culminates in my problem Harry Potter has died or more accurately is dying. This particular Harry is 7 years old and is dying from the extreme abuse of the Dursleys. He also has magical afflictions placed on him by others that have allowed the horcrux of Tom Riddle to damage and weaken his soul. This has resulted in the problem, I can't bring him back from the dead even though I should due to the horcrux. His soul is too weak to return to a body, especially a body in his current condition. He would at best just die again immediately."

Jack soaked this information in and realized how bad a situation it was.

"So what is your plan? I mean you have to have one, one that involves me since you said you need my help" he questioned.

Lady Death went to explain.

"Yes, I have a plan. I want to ask you to have your soul be reincarnated into Harry's body, thus taking it over and living again" said Lady Death.

Lady Death saw Jack was surprised and decided to elaborate "The process would work like this. Yours and Harry's souls would meld and due to Harry's being so weak and damaged your soul would simply absorb his. Do not worry this is a preferable outcome for even if his soul were to pass on normally it would be in constant pain for all time and beyond, this way with his soul being absorbed he can find peace. Now what the absorption would do to you for your new life is thus. You would gain all the memories and abilities of Harry as well as any protections and other such things. The world will view you as Harry Potter. You will also keep all abilities, power, knowledge, memories, and gifts that you possessed in your life and that I will give you. Also your magical power and protentional and Harry's will combine."

Jack nodded for her to continue.

Lady Death thus went on "Now as I just mentioned I will give you gifts and things to help you and as compensation for agreeing if you do. Such things include a highly potent magical core and deep reserves, awakened abilities in your new body's bloodline, freedom from prophecies and finally a portkey when you first arrive that will bring you to Gringotts when you say 'Reap what you sow'."

Lady Death paused then looked Jack in the eye.

"Now, I ask you, will you help me?" she asked in a serious voice.

Jack took a while to sit and think on his answer.

It could have been minutes or hours but eventually he spoke his answer "I'll do it."

With that simple sentence Lady Death seemed to have some tension leave her body.

"Thank you, Jack" she said in a soft voice.

Jack then spoke up and ask a question that he had "Why me though?"

Lady Death went on to explain "I was looking for souls of recently deceased that could fit my criteria for a champion and you fit the best."

He nodded to himself accepting the reasoning. Lady Death then went on to keep speaking.

"Now since you agreed I'll mention some more about this world. First you will appear in 1987 October 31. Second, you see while more recent events are fairly similar to the books there is plenty different and the past of this world on the magical side is wildly different which will greatly influence your new life. This world is more in line to head-canon and fandom belief as well as fanfictions. Luckily you read plenty of those so your more prepared."

Jack stood up and Lady Death did the same. He gave her hand a shake and spoke up.

"Thanks for the advice but now I think I'm ready to go. Though I have to ask will I see you again anytime soon?"

Lady Death nodded her head side to side "No, not for a while."

He simply smiled and nodded as he began to disappear just hearing Lady Death's last piece of advice "Trust the Goblins! They are your friends!"

He tucked that away with the rest as he faded into his new life.

Number 4 Privet Drive

He woke up in a dusty old cupboard with no light around only able to see due to his eyes being able to adjust easily. He had a splitting headache as memories of the original owner of this body came rushing forward. The memories of tireless chores, beatings with fists and belts and slaps, even the occasional pan from his aunt but it all mostly came from his uncle. The starving, eating scraps every few days leaving him malnourished and small, also leaving him in his cupboard for days as well.

It all made him angry and true hatred for these people manifested, but it felt muted and hard to achieve which was strange to him. He then remembered what caused the original Harry's death. He had performed some accidental magic to fix a shattered plate in fear of punishment. This happened in front of the whole Dursley family and it caused Vernon to go ballistic. He gave an extreme beating that involved his belt, fists, and kicks.

Well one of those kicks broke Harry's ribs and punctured his lung and by the time Vernon was done Harry wasn't breathing, not that he noticed as he simply picked him up and through him in the cupboard, locked it and left him to rot. Harry's magic had already been spent trying to fix past injuries and ailments along with the fact of whatever magically had been done to him he couldn't heal. This all resulted in his death.

The new Harry, formally Jack, was alive due to the new soul bringing enough magic to heal the wound enough to live. Harry then decided to feel out his new body a bit. He was about 3'2 and 28 pounds definitely on the small size. He was super thin and other wise looked like how a young Harry Potter looked like in his head.

He then noticed all the magic around and in him, affecting him, and he could tell almost all of it was negative. He couldn't tell what they did but he didn't like them. He decided he would do what he could to remove them. He then looked at the small golden coin that was in his hand since he woke up, the portkey promised by Lady Death.

'There's no reason to remain here. It's time I go and never return' Harry thought.

He then stood up as best he could in his still injured state but was still able to fully stand up due to being so short.

He grasped the coin in his hand, grabbed the pair of glasses hanging on a nail to put on, and spoke in a clear voice "Reap what you sow."

A tugging sensation happened and then colors began to swirl as he was taken to a new location.

Diagon Alley

Harry popped up right outside of Gringotts' steps and looked to see that the alley was empty. He realized it was night time somewhere around 2-4am he guessed. He then looked at the bank and saw that it was thankfully open with a sigh of relief.

He walked up the steps, spotting the iconic poem/warning at the entrance, and pushed the doors open to an empty lobby. The lobby looked a little different than expected, for one it was smaller than he was expecting it to be. It was only really big enough for seven tellers and the entrances to the back of the bank behind them. There were guards stationed around dressed in armor and carrying medieval looking weapons.

The second difference was that it had a lot of black marble instead of just white, which was really just a bonus since to much white would look awful. That was about it for changes but it did reinforce the fact that it wasn't the Harry Potter world from the books/movies.

He walked up to the third goblin who was dressed in a fine black suit with the Gringotts sigil on his left breast pocket, in direct contrast to Harry's bloodstained dirty rags that barely fit. Strangely the goblin looked at him with a hint of respect at his clothes, and it only increased when he spoke.

Pulling on fan knowledge and hoping he wasn't making a mistake he said "Good day Master Goblin, may your gold ever flow like the blood of your enemy's, may I please conduct some form of linage test and an abilities test here at Gringotts?"

The goblin was shocked with the wizards greeting and request.

"I must say you wizard I did not expect a traditional goblin greeting from a human today. May your riches ever prosper and your foes ever cower young wizard, and yes we can perform such tests. An ability test costs 10 galleons and an heritage test as their called is free, something done in the hopes of people claiming dead vaults" the goblin, Bonemaw as his name tag read, said to Harry.

Harry was surprised that the heritage test was free but figured it made sense in the long run for the bank.

"Well I'd like to do a heritage test first and then see where to go from there" he replied.

Bonemaw nodded and told him to follow him. The two, wizard and goblin, walked behind the counter and entered one of the two doors into the back of Gringotts which was much bigger then the lobby. It possessed many rooms, hallways, turns, and drops, offices labeled for important goblins and departments. All in all an elaborate tiny village in terms of diversity in what was offered and done.

While they were walking Harry asked Bonemaw a question, or five.

"Hey, Bonemaw why did you look at me with respect from my clothes?" he asked.

"Because goblins find those who can walk without aid even while in their own blood to be strong warriors" the goblin responded.

"Oh, why did we go through this door and not the other door?" Harry questioned.

"Because that door leads to the Goblin Mines where the vaults are and other valuable things to the Goblin Nation. When you go through that door it uses a form of seamless transportation magic not available to wizards and witches to take you to the Goblin Mines which are located underground in a undisclosed location somewhere in the world" was Bonemaw's in depth explanation "it's knowledge that we freely advertise to show how secure we are."

'That's very different then the books' Harry thought.

"Where exactly are we anyway and what goes on here?" was Harry's next question.

"This is the inner workings of Gringotts basically, we offer many services that we just don't let people know randomly and they all will cost you. This is also the place where you will meet with account managers and such. There's a version of this place in every branch of Gringotts across the globe" Bonemaw responded.

"Bonemaw, what exactly does an heritage test entail?" the wizard asked.

Bonemaw paused in his stride and looked at his young charge and decided to explain before going further. "A heritage test will consist of you putting three drops of your freely given blood on a piece of enchanted parchment. It will then reveal what your birth name is, your name by magic, who your parents are/were, your blood status both by birth and by law, your current magical guardian, and any lordships and titles you may claim as well as from which parent they come from. Then the account managers for those families will come in to meet with you and discuses important matters" Bonemaw finished.

"Thanks, and final question, is their a way to go about changing my name to hide myself?" Harry asked his so far helpful companion.

'I don't think I can stand being called Harry for the rest of my life but definitely not changing it to Jack either. It's a new start, a new life, time for a new name!' he thought to himself.

Bonemaw considered him and merely answered "Perhaps it's something we can do" with a grin on his face.

They kept walking a bit until they reached a room that above, written both in English and Gobbledegook, said 'Protected Privet Meeting Room #7'.

"For heritage tests we take special precaution, just in case" Bonemaw explained Harry's unasked question.

Bonemaw put his hand on the door causing it to glow briefly as the door then swung open soon after. They walked in to a room with a nice ebony desk and plush wooden chairs. A room that was fairly baren but still comfortable, clearly meant for business.

Bonemaw went behind the desk and took a seat as he gestured for Harry to take a seat in front of the desk. After he sat Bonemaw grabbed a piece of parchment from a drawer in the desk as well as a gem encrusted knife.

He gave both to Harry and said "The knife has magic to instantly heal the cut so you don't have to worry, now you know what to do."

Harry took to knife and parchment after nodding and cut his finger put three drops of blood on the little seal he saw on the paper. What was revealed he was not expecting.

The blood sank into the parchment and then words in red ink began spreading across the page revealing who was to the world, or at least to Harry. The parchment read as so:

Birth Name: Hadrian James Potter-Black

Parents By Blood & Magic:

James Fleamont Potter (Birth Father) (Deceased)

Lily Spring Potter nee Evens (Birth Mother) (Deceased)

Sirius Orion Black III (Blood Adopted Father)

Name By Magic: Hadrian James Potter-Percival-Slytherin-Gryffindor-le Fay-Grim-Black-Greymore

Blood Status: Half-Blood (Legally Pureblood)

Current Magical Guardian: Sirius Orion Black III

Eligible Lordships/Titles:

Most Ancient & Most Noble House of Potter (Gained through Birth Father)

Most Ancient & Most Noble House of Percival (Gained through Birth Father)

Most Ancient & Most Noble House of Slytherin (Gained through Birth Mother)

Most Ancient & Most Noble House of Gryffindor (Gained through Birth Father)

Most Ancient & Royal House of le Fay (Gained through Birth Mother)

Most Ancient & Royal House of Grim (Gained through Blood Adoptive Father)

Most Noble & Most Ancient House of Black (Gained through Blood Adoptive Father)

Most Ancient & Most Royal House of Greymore (Gained through Birth Mother)

Harry, or rather as he now currently knew himself as Hadrian, decided to ask some questions before showing Bonemaw his results and continuing.

"Bonemaw, I have a few questions before I show you my results. First what does 'Blood Adopted' mean? Second, what exactly is a name by magic? Third, how can I be a half-blood but legally a pureblood? Finally how can Sirius Black be my Magical Guardian even though he's in Azkaban?" Hadrian askes.

Bonemaw looks a bit surprised and excited as he goes to answer. "First Blood Adoption is a form of blood magic in the way of a ritual or potion that changes the physical body and the magic of the adopted to make it so that they are related to the adoptee. There is both sibling and parental blood adoption, and with parental it essentially gives a third parent to the adopted party in the case of it being administered to the child. It's very complicated and there is more versions out there for more specific cases that have been lost. Second, a name by magic is a name you cannot change except for the first and middle names, the last names are not changeable by choice. They can only change in cases of marriage or magical conquest. A magical name is different than a legal name and the two can be different, the only time you must use your magical name is for magical contracts. The name itself is basically the name magic recognizes you by" Bonemaw pauses.

"Third, you see there is a difference in actual blood status and legal blood status as a pureblood is defined as someone who has four magical grandparents, but legally if one grandparent is muggle-born then they are considered half-blood despite the actual definition. But for the reverse to occur it means you are an official part of a royal family. You see the royal families are so powerful and important that none of the other families would call a member anything less than a pureblood, so an exception to the law was made where all members regardless are considered purebloods. We can get into a bit of the history of the royal families later. Finally Sirius Black can still be your Magical Guardian because he never had a trial and thus was never found guilty, in fact he is still the current Lord Black" Bonemaw finished explaining.

Hadrian nodded and handed the paper to the goblin. Bonemaw started to read at first quirking an eyebrow but once he reached the end he fell out of his chair.

"Is everything all right!" Hadrian called.

Bonemaw got off the floor and dusted himself off before he spoke "Yes, but I must call your account managers to come see you immediately."

He then walked to the desk and asked to be able to send a copy of his test to his account managers that would burn immediately after they were read. He got the ok from Hadrian and sent it off.

A few minutes later seven goblins came rushing through the door to the meeting room. The goblins began introducing themselves.

"I'm Ripper, the Potter and Black account manager as the families decided to use the same manager" the first goblin said.

"I am Bloodrain, Percival account manager" the second goblin spoke.

"I'm Greatclaw, Slytherin account manager" the third goblin said.

"I am Spearbreaker, account manager for the Gryffindor accounts" the fourth goblin spoke.

"I'm Skullcrusher, the le Fay account manager" said the fifth goblin dressed in a more regal suit.

"I am Gourd, the Grim account manager" said the sixth goblin dressed the same as the fifth.

"And I am Prince Ragnuk, son of King of the Goblins Ragnuk, heir to the throne and the Greymore account manager" said the seventh and most impressively dressed goblin of bunch.

"I have a question" Hadrian spoke up "why is a prince an account manager?"

Ragnuk did not look insulted and merely explained. "The Greymore family is good friends with the goblin nation and it was decided that the next in line for the throne, who would need experience anyway, would serve as the Greymore's account manager" he said.

"Oh, the Greymores are friends to the goblins?" Hadrian said.

"Oh yes, the Greymores helped us establish Gringotts long ago and helped convince magical humans to bank with us" Ragnuk explained.

After that the goblins started to change the room a bit to accommodate the new occupants. The desk was transfigured into a long table to sit all seven managers, and the seat for Hadrian was made into a far more comfortable one. After they all sat down and Bonemaw was told he could stay by Hadrian the conversation began again.

"So, what is so important about my family anyway?" Hadrian asked.

"Well to put it plainly, you are the highest ranking person in the entire magical world" Ragnuk says after a moment.

To say Hadrian wasn't expecting this was to say the sky is blue. After composing himself the best he could Hadrian asked for a bit more information.

"You see the magical world has six royal families. Five have the title of Most Ancient and Royal House, however there is one family that is the Most Royal House. These families each rule a continent, with the Most Royal House ruling over two. There is the Grim family that rules over Africa, the Le Fay family that rules over Asia, the Percival family that rules over Australia, the Redcaps family that rules over South America, the Scarlet family that rules over North America, and finally the Greymore family that rules over England and Antarctica" Ragnuk informed Hadrian.

"Since you seem to be new to the magical world I'll tell you that we consider both the south and north pole as Antarctica. What the Royals did was enforce order in their territory by making sure no one did anything to dangerous and not to go out of control. They made sure the people didn't upset the order of the world and magic to prevent calamity. Sadly all of the Houses have been considered extinct… well until now" the goblin prince explained further.

Hadrian sat there for a while not fully able to process that for a while.

'I can't believe it! This is so different! Ugh… well my knowledge shouldn't be useless as this is still Harry Potter as Lady Death said and this seems to be history that could affect the world now in the right circumstances. It seems that it could be lore never explained by JKR so not to bad. I just have to do my best with this all. Besides it could be a lot worse' the transmigrated wizard thought to himself.

"I would like to be checked for magical properties on my person such as compulsions and blocks. Then have then removed, I won't do any business while I might not be of sound mind" Hadrian spoke up after he processed it all.

The goblins gained an angry expression and swore in the native tung of their people.

"I can't believe someone might dare do such things to the Greymore heir!" the goblin prince shouted in English after a bit.

They soon left the room to go to a goblin healer. The prince told the medi-goblin what was going on and after some more angry goblin expletives a team of healers gathered. They started to set up a ritual in the healing chamber close to the healers office.

The head healer soon approached the young heir and told him of the ritual.

"The ritual we will perform removes all foreign harmful magic and then records what they all were on a piece of parchment. It will tell us what they did and who did it. It is known as the Negative Banishment Ritual. Since you are a Goblin Friend you are having this done for free" she tells him.

"What is Goblin Friend?" he asks.

"Goblin Friend means you are seen as a honoree member of the Goblin Nation and you have all the benefits of such" the healer explains.

When he looks at her with still some confusion Ragnuk, who is still there while the others left as they decided that their prince can handle all things with Hadrian, speaks up.

"It means we like you more or less. Your Goblin Friend as all members of the Greymore family are automatically such, unless they prove lacking that honor" he tells Hadrian.

Hadrian nods and then goes to the center of a ritual circle that has a alter in the center. He strips then lays down as instructed and soon the goblin healers start to chant. Hadrian then soon starts to scream and then passes out.

He wakes up about two hours later and soon is given clothes far better than the ones he came to the bank with. Hadrian is then lead to a room that has a plaque that says 'Prince Ragnuk'. He enters and sees Ragnuk waiting for him behind a large desk. Hadrian sits in front of the desk in the provided plush chair.

"So, what was the damage?" the wizard asks, starting the conversation.

The goblin sighs. "You were under a litany of magical aliments, luckily none have left permeant harm since they have been removed before you thirteenth birthday. That is your third magical maturity and is one of the most powerful ones. It would make you bond to those terrible things and only something extremely powerful could remove them at that point. More than likely the royal families would have something of that nature" the goblin explains to impress how severe this could have been.

"Here is the results, it would take to long to explain aloud. If you have questions merely ask" the prince said handing Hadrian a piece of parchment.

The boy looked at what was written.

'Well that explains a lot. The sloth curse must be why Harry never really studied. I just have one question'Hadrian thinks to himself.

"What's an incomplete horcrux?" he asks the goblin.

The goblin adopts a grim look. "It means that when the one known as Lord Voldemort tried to kill you that night he made a horcrux unknowingly. This makes it incomplete. This is due to the fact that a horcrux needs intent to be a fully formed soul piece. An incomplete horcrux will have a piece of soul and power but no mind, making it more of an object then a true piece of the maker. When we healed you due to its nature all positive aspects of the soul piece have been merged into you and all negative have been banished" the goblin explained.

"This means you have absorbed a portion of the Dark Lord's power and made it your own" he finished.

The wizard sat there thinking for a moment. 'That's awesome! I got some of the slimy bastard's power! I'm glad I asked the goblins about my parents to get the story strait' he finishes thinking to himself.

"All right I want a ability test done then a name change please" Hadrian says his desires.

The prince nods and then tells him that they'll do the name change first to make things easier.

"Before we go I need to tell you that Dumbledore tried to sign a marriage contract for you to one 'Ginevra Molly Weasley'. However this is invalid as he is not your magical guardian and he used the wrong name. He signed it for 'Harry James Potter'" the account manager told him as he stood up.

The boy and goblin walked out of the room to another ritual chamber.

During the walk all the currently named Hadrian could think was 'Glad I dogged that bullet!'.

They made it to the chamber and there the goblin in charge of the ritual explained that any family name could be added after he claimed the lordships in front of at least seven human magicals. As heir though he can choose any name for the ritual. He would have to state his new name once the chanting ended to complete the ritual by saying 'I am hence forth 'Blank''.

The wizard then walked into the circle and watched the goblin chant and when he ended he spoke loud and clear.

"I am hence forth Damian Thorn-Hadrian-James Greymore!" he shouted.

He choose this name so he could honor his parents while having a middle name he can tell people without raising suspicion. He chose Greymore as it's the highest ranking family, so more power at his disposal.

After that the now christened Damian and goblin prince went back to the bankers office. They sat down in their respective seats and then the banker took out a piece of parchment, a bowl, and a silver knife.

"The ability test involves putting seven drops of blood in this bowl and then adding a magical ink to it. Then I will pour it on the parchment that will then tell us your magical abilities" Ragnuk told the boy.

Damian nodded and took the knife and pricked his finger. Seven drops of blood went in the bowl shortly followed by the previously mentioned ink. The prince poured the new magical concoction on the parchment he'd taken out a moment before. Soon after writing began to appear on the magical paper.

The goblin handed his charge the parchment without looking at it.

"The writing will give you a small explanation on the ability from what Gringotts knows of it next to the name of the ability. Many abilities have been lost only to reemerge so they are unknown to most. Since most don't like disclosing all their abilities if they have them, even to their account manager, the parchment shows that bit so they don't have to ask their manager what the hell they can do" Ragnuk said to him before Damian could look at the parchment, getting a nod in return.

Bonded Soul- Has connections with others in the categories of romantic, familial, and companionship that are selected by magic. Only powerful magicals have these bonds and only romantic bonds can be counted in a definitive number. Romantic bonds:5.

'13 abilities, a magical number. Wonder if that has any meaning?' Damian thought to himself with some wonder. 'I guess this is in part caused by Lady Death doing what she said she would' he finished think to himself before asking the goblin a question.

"Dose 'Bonded Soul' mean what I think it means Prince Ragnuk?" he ask in a slightly less composed tone then he had meant to.

The goblins eyes widen a bit then he sighs and chuckles as he shakes his head.

"Yes it dose and if you don't mind me asking how many? And please call me Ragnuk" the gruff prince said.

"5" was Damian's short response.

Ragnuk then proceeded to burst into laughter that continued for a while. He eventually calmed down after some time and resumed his composed bearing.

"Now, due to the Royal Families and the Most Royal Family having a last of line clause, you can claim your lordships and become legally and magically emancipated. You can claim your lordships here without it affecting your name since you are not doing so in front of the required seven magical humans. So you don't need to worry about advertising your lordships if you don't want them currently known to the wider magical community. Which I figure you don't want them to know given your choice of name" the manager explained to his client.

"Very well, I'd like to claim all the titles I'm eligible for. That should be lord for all my houses except Black where I am only the heir due to my father yet living, correct?" the wizard asked him after thinking the decision through a little more and finding no downsides.

"That is correct. I have the rings with me here, just to be prepared if you made that choice" Ragnuk told him.

The goblin prince then took out eight boxes, one for each family. Damian was then given the rings in order of age. First was Greymore, and the ring was made of a silver band with a black diamond in the shape of a triangle sat to the right of a white diamond in the shape of a triangle as the jewel of the ring positioned in a way that made an off center square shape. In the black diamond a white engraving of a wolf's howling face facing inward, and in the white diamond a black engraving of a dragons head facing inward completed the ring. Once he put the ring on his right ring finger it pulsed a grey light and then shrunk to fit his finger, accepting him.

Second was the le Fay ring and it was made of a gold band with a deep blue diamond as its center jewel. Engraved in the metal was the pattern of flowers and in the diamond the image of a rose in bloom drawn in gold. The ring pulsed a white light and then merged into the Greymore ring, not changing the older rings appearance, when the band accepted him.

Third was the Grim ring, made of a silver band with a onyx stone with a silver skull engraving in its face as the jewel. The ring pulsed a black, dark tinged light as it followed its predecessor.

Fourth came the Percival ring, made of a gold band and a white diamond with the deathly hollows sigil on its face as it jewel. It pulsed a red light and made itself the fourth ring to be claimed.

Fifth was the Slytherin ring, made of a sliver band and a green emerald engraved with a silver snake as its jewel. The ring pulsed green then followed suit with the previous.

Sixth was the Gryffindor ring, made of a band of gold and a red ruby engraved with a griffin on its hind legs as its jewel. The ring pulsed red and copied it's rival house's ring.

Seventh came the Potter ring, a gold ring with a red ruby engraved with a lion's head as its jewel. It pulsed gold and became the last to merge into the ring on Damian's right ring finger, still in the end looking like the Greymore ring.

Finally the Black heir ring was put on his right pinky finger, a silver band with a onyx engraved with a silver raven. It shone a pale black as it accepted him and with a thought became invisible.

As each ring had been claimed by Damian he received a burst of information related to the respective family, including where their main homes are, as well as the capabilities of the rings.

The Greymore ring grants its wearer the ability to sense the strength of other magicals with greater accuracy, be it human or creature, as a form of threat assessment. The le Fay ring grants its wearer the ability to sense dark magic and its rough strength from people and objects. The Grim ring grant the inverse ability of the le Fay ring. The Percival ring grants its bearer the ability to sense the main effect of a magical object.

The Slytherin ring grants the ability to sense harmful potions in close proximity to the user. The Gryffindor ring grants the ability to sense a physical threat in advance, all be it slightly. The Potter ring grants an increase in reflexes to the wearer. Finally the Black heir ring increases the mental defenses of the bearer.

Damian sat back in his chair taking a moment to adjust to the information given by his new rings. Ragnuk waited patiently, something he wouldn't do for most, for his young client to adjust. Soon though he coughed to grab Damian's attention.

"Hem-hem, I take it you don't need me to tell you that you can choose what ring you show at any time" he then smiled cheekily "milord."

That served to get Damian out of his state as he soon groaned then chuckled.

"Please Ragnuk, if I can't call you Prince don't start calling me Lord" he said with a small smile on his face.

"Haha! Deal" Ragnuk said with a smile of his own.

After that Damian requested to see his finances and unsurprisingly found out he was the richest person in the magical world. The Greymore family alone had over a trillion galleons or about 6,349,077,352,079.20 USD. This is due to them saving for millennia and having crazy interest rates due to being Goblin Friend. All the families also owned many estates and businesses around the world. Overall Damian wouldn't need to worry about money in his new life.

After all that and a final discussion with Ragnuk on investments going forward Damian finally left the bank. He told Ragnuk to look at investing in any tech companies in the mundane world, looking in particular at America. He knew after all that the mundanes, his preferred word to muggle as it sounded like a slur, would be experiencing a technology boom in a few years' time.

After he walked out of the bank he noticed his reflection in the mirror and saw he looked taller and had a more healthy weight.

'Looks like the healing worked like a charm' he thought to himself with a smirk.

He then looked at his Greymore ring and activated the portkey feature of it to take him to his ancestral home.

^Home is where the heart is^ Damian said in a guttural language known as Beasttongue.

The sensation he had experienced only once before took hold of the wizard and sent him off to another place, not knowing yet what waves he had made and would make.
