Robbie had been visiting the Mystery Shack more often after Mabel had hooked him up with Tambry. Since then, Robbie and Mabel had been having playdates and have become best friends.
One day, Mabel was painting Robbie's nails black.
"Whoa. You did an awesome job, Mabel." Said Robbie as he looked at his nails.
"You're welcome. And I'm sure Tambry will like them too." Said Mabel.
"Actually Tambry and I broke up last weekend."
"Oh no, and you two were so cute together. You're not upset about it?"
"I am, but we came to good terms and I decided not to make a big deal out of it."
At that moment, Dipper came into the room silently glaring at Robbie and vice versa.
"Okay you two, I get both of you haven't had the best relationship, but try not to get into each other's throats." Said Mabel as she tried to calm down the situation.
"You're right." Sighed Robbie.
"Oh, I forgot. Robbie, Great Uncle Ford would like to talk with you; he's heard you might have some information he might like to hear." Said Mabel.
"He's not going to tie me up to a chair and interrogate me, is he?"
"Nah, he's cool." Said Mabel, "He's calmed down since he's returned; he may flash a light in your eyes though."
"Alright, I'll see what he needs."
As Robbie left the room, Dipper walked over to his sister.
"Mabel, why do you like hanging out with Robbie so much? Even you've said he was a jerk when we first met him."
"Yeah, but he's starting to turn around and he's really not that bad of a guy once you get to know him."
"That sounds like something someone in a movie would say about a hideous monster before they turn into a prince."
"Dipper, why you always gotta be so negative? Robbie and I are friends now. You don't have to like him, but at least be a little courteous. Anyways, it's Waddles' afternoon feeding time. I'll be right back."
As Mabel left the room, Dipper sighed and went up to the attic to rest, but before he did, he noticed Mabel's diary had fallen tot he floor with its pages open.
"Huh. I should put this back." Dipper said to himself, "Though maybe I should--No! I don't wanna break Mabel's trust."
But the more he looked at the diary, the more curious he got about what was inside. At that moment, Dipper's curiosity took over and he started reading.
Dear Diary,
Robbie and I had a great time at the mall. We shopped at Edgy on Purpose and we talked about our favorite bands and he gave me advice on which shade of black looked best on me. I had a great time.
Love, Mabel.
Dipper then turned the next page.
Dear Diary,
I decided to bake Robbie a red velvet cake since he works so hard digging graves on his family's property and he told me that red velvet cake was his favorite desert. I hope he appreciates the cute edible googly eyes I decorated it with.
Dipper turned the next page.
Dear Diary,
Robbie loved the cake. He said I had a great gift when it comes to confectioneries. I feel so proud.
Dipper turned the next page.
Dear Diary,
I can't stop thinking about Robbie for some reason. Am I sick? I usually don't get this sweaty unless I'm thinking about cute boys.
Dipper turned the page with each one being covered with hearts, flowers, and the word "Robbie" written all over. Dipper's eyes then widened as he saw some fanart of Mabel next to Robbie with wedding bells on the top.
At that very moment, Mabel came in and was shocked to see her brother reading her diary.
"Dipper, what are you doing?!"
Dipper then turned to his sister.
"Mabel, what did he do to you?!"
"Who did what to me?" Asked Mabel.
"Robbie. You kept mentioning in him in each page and drew fanart of him."
"Okay, fine. I have a crush on him, but come on, it's not gonna happen between him and me; I recognize that."
"Not while I'm around."
Dipper grabbed Mabel's wrist and he dragged her over to the kitchen where Ford and Robbie were talking. Dipper lunged at Robbie and pinned him down on the ground.
"So, you like Mabel huh? You like her cake, huh?"
"Umm, I guess." Robbie said in confusion.
"Dipper, don't start any fights." Said Mabel
"Wait, what's going on?" Asked Robbie.
"I read Mabel's diary." Said Dipper, "I know what's going on."
"Wait, diary? What?" Asked Robbie in confusion.
"YOU STAY AWAY FROM MY SISTER YOU ONE-DIMENSIONAL EMO-GOTH STEREOTYPE!" Shouted Dipper.
"What are you talking about?" Asked Robbie once again.
Mabel pulled her brother away from the teenager.
"Dipper, he's innocent."
"Mabel, he tried to brainwash Wendy into liking him. Remember?" Said Dipper, "He probably did the same thing to you."
"Well then I'm just as guilty as he is cause I spiked his chili fries with love potion so he and Tambry would fall in love with each other."
"You did WHAT?!" Exclaimed Robbie.
"Great Dipper." Said Mabel, "Now you made me look like the bad guy."
"To be honest, I think you're all terrible." Said Ford.
"I can't believe this." Said Robbie, "Tambry's love for me was a lie."
"I'm so sorry, Robbie" sighed Mabel.
"I don't blame you, Mabel." Sighed Robbie, "You're just a kid and I was feeling really depressed at the time."
"So we're still friends?" Asked Mabel.
"Yeah. We are."
As the two smiled at each other, Dipper realized both Mabel and Robbie were telling the truth.
"Hey, I'm sorry I overstepped my boundaries." Said Dipper to both Robbie and Mabel.
"Eh. I know I can be a jerk sometimes." said Robbie, "You're forgiven."
"Yeah, just don't look at my diary without my permission ever again." Said Mabel.
"...So Robbie, about that baby you were talking about." Ford interrupted.
