*This is ported by Wattpad, feel free to come by as I've focused on making stories there rather here*

After all this time, we're back at the Matrix again. Since I have worked on this reaction from my previous work. I decided to work on part 1, immediately.

Yeah it is that quick...

For now, let's work on the character aspect from the previous chapter I left out. You'll be surprised what casting choices I have for a certain characters in the Matrix, or not if you guys recall my previous work.

There is no OC from other Authors, this one is on me.

Before we can begin, I have decided to 'greenlit' a sequel to RWBY Multiversal. Already posted a poll link of Google Forms, so that YOU AUDIENCE can decide which reactions do you want in the sequel. (Images are below, also thank you for the 440 followers)

With that done, let's begin.

Today it is morning, or it should be... Ruby dazzling wakes up, stretching herself whilst in her pajamas. She looks at the window, only to see nothing but the vast void.

Realizing that this is still real, with the whole Multiverse thing. Though, curious. She hopes out of her bed, soft landing. However, she's not the only one who woke up.

Weiss, Blake, and Yang, each in respectful order, wake up from their long sleep. Yang yawns in relief, while stretching her arms. "Phew! Got to say, this sleep right now, I felt more relaxed than ever!" The bombastic blonde smirked.

"How long did we sleep?" Weiss wondered, despite their awakening, there is no sudden tiredness upon typical mornings.

"I don't know, maybe ask Mobius guy or something." Yang shrugged, then she glanced to see Ruby seeing the window of void. "Hey sis, watching the vast emptiness over there?" She calls out.

"Huh?" Ruby turns to see her sister. "Oh yeah!" She nodded, before returning her gaze at the pitch darkness. "It just feels weird seeing it that's all." She commented.

"At this point, we should be getting used to it." Blake remarked. Weiss and Yang did a few small nods to her response.

Ruby continues looking, until she sees something from the void. "Hey, everyone, look." She pointed outside through the window. The three girls joined in, seeing the vast void...

Only to see mere streams of lights, flowing like rivers. Then it spreads furthermore, like a tree branch growing at a quicker pace.

"Whoa..." Yang whistled at that sight. "There's something special on this day..."

Then Blake's cat ears twitched, something startled her a bit. Weiss notices the flinch, "Blake, is something wrong?" She called out.

"Huh? Blake?" Ruby perked up, same with Yang.

"I heard something from there." Blake mentioned, pointing at the streams.

"Like what?" Yang wondered, staring at the energy streams.

"Voices of us..." Blake replied, "These must be those universes Mobius talks about." She stated.

Just as the streams start to appear closer to the windows. Weiss then hears it, "I can hear it too..." She muttered.

Yang shook her head a bit, "Okay, that sounds weird..." She remarked, also hearing the voices.

Ruby winced a bit by the voices, "Ugh, my head feels so fuzzy..." She muttered. Then she sees some streams collide with each other. "They are also clashing?" She noticed.

"...We should tell Mobius, or maybe everyone else will notice it." Yang suggests that they need to get ready to leave.

Later they are dressed up, ignoring the hazy voices in their ears being constantly spoken. They leave their dorm, already seeing Team JNPR, CFVY, Sun, Neptune, and many of the rest outside of their rooms.

"Hey Jaune." Ruby waved to Jaune and his friends. "Got a good sleep?" She asked.

"Yeah, expect the time we hear voices from outside..." Jaune replied, pointing his thumb at the door.

"Oh, same!" Ruby added. "Did you hear like yourselves?" She wondered.

"Yeah, like that time I hear myself being so... Confident?" He questioned the last word. "Like, I said, 'On your left' to someone. Do you have something like that?"

Weiss responded, "I do not know, I recall saying 'Jarvis' like some kind of butler." She wondered who they were, given she always had Klein...

Just as they are about to continue on their ramblings, Mobius suddenly appears in the hallway. "Greetings to you all, I assume you all have a good sleep." He announced.

"Yeah, just to head up, I would complain about the ruckus we have going on outside." Qrow calls out. "But not gonna lie, the sleep was relaxing." He admits.

"This is due to the time dilation set for your comfort. Since an average being for you to sleep is eight hours long, I set it up to ten hours of sleep." Mobius explained the latter part. Then he talks about the previous mention, "And sorry for the sudden disturbances from the outside, as the void is now being filled by universes of your very world." He stated.

"So what, we can hear ourselves in those stream-like things?" Mercury assumed. Cinder and Emerald remain quiet since they also heard their voices from these universes.

"Correct." Mobius answered. "Do stay calm, since we are outside time and space. Those universes won't clash into our haven unless we want to." Just then, he sees Ruby raising her hand, "Yes, Miss Rose?" He asked.

"During those streams, some of them are clashing with each other." Ruby mentioned.

Pyrrha nodded, "Yes, I do in fact see some of them collide, is there an issue on the Multiverse?" She asked.

"It's just a simple collision of universes soon discovering each other or something causing a reaction for it to be collided." Mobius explained.

James Ironwood has a question about this, "And what happens if they clash?" He asked.

"Two ways, one the universes decay, creating an incursion." Mobius answered.

"An incursion?" Jaune wondered what that word meant.

"Invasion." Mobius clearly stated, causing some dread for some people. "There is a universe clearly more advanced that would do such things." Already the entity can think of variants that intervene in the Multiverse... He looks at Ruby and Ozpin notably through his visor, that unfortunately isn't seen by the two.

"Hang on, then isn't that bad?" Sun called out, bizarre to hear it from Mobius being calm about this.

"Through your perspectives, it may be. However the Multiverse is vast and infinite. Like a never ending growing tree, sometimes the branches collide, or rot within. Whether it's up to those who can touch the tree have the responsibilities." Mobius affirmed. "But for now on, we are not to interfere with the process as already those with the powers will handle this."

Ruby then suggests. "But what if we-"

"Miss Rose, I can understand your desire and possibly see other universes." Mobius interrupts her, with a calm and gentle tone. "But for now, we are to watch other realities, and learn what you've experienced."

"..." Ruby is silenced by this. But hearing the nice tone from Mobius, she decided to comply.

"With that, let's all take our leaves, we have no breakfast planned so feel free to take some food from the bar and proceed to the theater." Mobius instructed as he disappeared.

Everyone does as he told them, still taking in the whole new multiverse despite watching three realities.

Entering the lounge, some do collect a plate of food, after all they are hungry. Nora being Nora, got a tall stack of pancakes. She was mumbling to her team about that voice. She wondered what her version meant by the term 'Mjolnir' ; however , this was confused due to her odd pronunciation. They still need to talk about what they heard from those realities they witnessed.

But for now, they have a fourth reality to watch. They are at the theater, as they sat down in respectful groups, and the theater even changed a bit, with the couch-like seats now having round tables for their food plates.

Then Khaos burst out, "Oh boy it is time!" He beamed excitedly. His appearance does lead to some discomfort.

"Yeah... We miss you..." Coco remarked sarcastically.

"Oh trust me, dear girl, I'll refrain myself." Khaos chuckled.

"Yeah right, you stated you're inconsistent." Weiss scoffed.

"Eh, I am not." Khaos shrugged, "Let's just begin!" He smirked with his flaming skull.

Mobius sighed, "Let's start." The screen flickers on, showing them the fourth reality.

Through the darkness, a green light pulses like a heartbeat, looking like a key bind waiting to be typed. Just then a phone begins to ring, the cursor continues to blink patiently...

The ringing is picked up, "Yeah?" A male voice spoke out, then the darkness with the green cursor, now shows information like a screen; (Call trans opt: received. 2-19-98 13:24:18 REC:Log)

"Is everything in place?" A woman's voice responded as the screen changed to; (Trace program: running).

"You weren't supposed to relieve me." He replied as screen changes with racing columns of numbers. Shimmering like green-electric rivers, they rush at a 10-digit phone number in the top corner.

"I know but I felt like taking a shift." She said as the first three out of the ten columns stopped on their fixed number.

"You like him, don't you? You like watching him?" He asked as the screen closed in as each digit was matched, one by one, snapping into place.

"Don't be ridiculous." She quickly dismissed it.

"We're going to kill him. Do you understand that? He's going to die just like the others." He speaks nonchalantly.

"Morpheus believes he is the One. Only two thin digits left." She stated.

"Do you?" He questioned her.

"I..." She paused. "It doesn't matter what I believe."

"You don't, do you?" He assumed.

"If you have something to say, I suggest you say it to Morpheus." She replied with annoyance.

"I intend to, believe me. Someone has to." He sighed, as the final number popped up.

This somehow led to a reaction, "Did you hear that?" Her voice is alerted.

"Hear what?" He asked as the screen finished the number and message; (Trace complete. Call origin: #312-555- 0690.)

"Are you sure this line is clean?" She asked with urgency.

"Yeah, 'course I'm sure." He replied, zooming right at the final number, the electric hum grew strong.

"I better go." She said, then hung up, through the numbers. A flashlight appears from the darkness. Now appearing in the abandoned area, filled with worn out rooms. Coming out of the shadows, armed police officers wielding flashlights.

Walking through the hallway carefully, they reach a hotel room, readying themselves... The front one kicked the door open, the rest of them quickly raised their firearms. "Police! Freeze!"

They shine their lights, towards the person within the empty room, with only a table, chair, phone, modem, and a powerbook computer. She's sitting on a chair, wearing a leather tight suit, with dark hair with red tips and notable silver eyes...

"Hands behind your head! Now! Do it!" The other officer shouted with demand. She responded as she raised her hands, slowly putting her hands behind her head...

"Okay, what is going on?" Sun wondered aloud, seeing the first time the screen shows the green tint lights.

Meanwhile, Qrow, Ruby, and Yang hear a female voice, they sense some familiarity with that voice... And everyone else is curious by the sudden difference on this reality. That is until they see the cops themselves barging into the room.

And right as the person being arrested is shown... "Mom?" Ruby gasped. As Yang and Qrow are surprised to see Summer Rose herself, in this reality.

"That's your mother?" Jaune asked as he noticed the similarity between Ruby and Summer, they look mostly alike.

"Yeah..." Yang nodded, softly.

"Must be a surprise seeing someone alive throughout another universe, huh Ruby?" Khaos suddenly spoke up, solemnly, a tone that perked nearly everyone given his previous.

"Um..." Ruby muttered.

"Don't worry, little one. Despite how it started, it's not what it seems. Keep watching." Khaos assured her. Due to the fact they are seeing this version of Summer Rose being some kind of fugitive.

Ruby remains silent and is watching with curiosity. Her family also joins they watch furthermore, to see what this reality is trying to show. Even Coco is a bit surprised by that moment.

Outside, there is a city and the hotel that is guarded by the police cruisers. Then a black vehicle arrives, stopped, three figures in dark suits and shades step out of the car. The one in the lead, has a familiar look, tan skin, dark hair.

Each geared, with earphones, cord coiling back from their shirt collars. The leading man spoke out, "Lieutenant?" This gains the officer's attention.

"Ah shit..." The Lieutenant grunted as the man walked up to him.

With a slight disapproving look, "Lieutenant, you were given specific orders-" He said.

"I'm just doing my job. You gimme that Juris-my dick-tion and you can cram it up your ass." The Lieutenant scoffed.

"The orders were for your protection." He stated.

The Lieutenant laughed at his warning, "I think we can handle one little girl." He smirks, the man turns to his ally and nods to him, which they start heading to the hotel. "I sent two units. They're bringing her down now."

He turns to the police Lieutenant, "No, Lieutenant, your men are already dead." He stated.

James Ironwood immediately recognized the first man in shades. "Watts..." He whispered.

Winter also noticed the man, "General, this man..." She muttered.

"Yes, you two." Mobius replied to the two, and they turned to him. Interesting, despite what he said. The others are still watching as if they didn't hear him. "It is indeed Arthur Watts." And that's all he said. The two knew to keep this secret for now.

"Hang on, are these guys like Super Secret Agents?" Sun assumed these Agents.

"Must be, it seems the police are underestimating their... Opponent." Blake replied, not trying to shine a bad light upon this variant's Summer. Given she heard a bit about her, from Yang...

Meanwhile Yang and Ruby, even Qrow are curious gazes of this world. And what is Summer doing here...

Inside the hotel room, the fist cop pulls out the metal cuffs, the other holding a bead. When he goes closer to alternate Summer...

Suddenly an eye blink, her palm moves quickly, she breaks the cop's arm, he screams before she punches him in the nose. She kicks him so hard, he flies back, slamming into another cop.

Quickly she runs, as the cop fires his gun, outrunning the bullets, she runs up the walls. Right up close... She grabbed the gun and his arm, directing it to a cop, killing him with a shot. Then she knocks the final cop with a high kick, turning back to see her last standing...

"Shit..." She grunted. The agents enter the hotel, Agent Watts is leading with other police officers with them. Later, she is on the phone, "Morpheus. The line was traced. I don't know how." She stated.

"I know." The man's voice with a familiar sound reply. "They cut the hardline. This line is not a viable exit."

"Are there any Agents?" She asked.

"Yes." He replied.

"Goddamnit." She muttered in anger.

"You have to focus. There is a phone. Wells and Lake. You can make it." He assured me.

Taking a deep breath, she speaks back, "All right." She nodded.

"Go." With his command, she drops the phone and makes a run for it. Bursting out of the room to the hallway, right as the Agent enters, leading a unit of police. She runs to the opposite. She jumps through the broken window to the fire escape.

Outside, she looks down at the bottom of the stairs. There Agent Watts is looking up at her, no choice, she runs up to the roof. Which the Agent and police enter in. Jumping over the small gaps between rooftops, as the Agent and cops give chase. The Agent pulls out his gun and shoots her, only missing the shots then she makes a turn.

Heading to the edge of the building, seeing a massive wide back alley. But despite the gap, her expression remains unchanged. She runs before taking a leap, seemingly gliding over the road, landing on the other side, and continues running.

The Agent chases, right as the cops enter the scene, to witness the Agent do the same thing. "That's impossible!" The cop exclaimed. The Agent remains unfazed as well, which she notices.

Looking for another way... Up ahead, a window with a yellow glow in the midst of a building. Taking the chance, she makes a run as hard as she can. Jumping off, while diving straight at the window as glass shattered when she fell down to the stairwell and stopped there, before immediately turning holding her pistols at the broken window.

She waits for the Agent to come... Her silver eyes gaze close... No action occurred. "...Get up, Trinity. You're fine. Get up!" She winces before getting up and runs down the rest of the stairs whilst slightly wounded by the crash.

The action has begun, not much to say much given this isn't the first rodeo of seeing action. Seeing Summer fighting the cops, leaves some low reputation for those who know her well. Nonetheless the fight was impressive given she had no weapon herself.

Later on, they see trouble for Summer and hear another voice. Qrow realized the voice speaking to Summer, "You gotta be kidding..." He grumbled.

Ruby also recognized the voice, "Uncle Qrow, your voice..." She noticed.

"Another one, and this time this one's against authority." Winter murmured.

As the scene continues on, the chase continues on. Just that, Summer made a huge leap, which may irk some surprises, but it is when Agent Watts did it... The cop's response says it all for them.

"That's... Impossible?" Weiss perked up, by the reaction of the cop. "I mean, not to say this feat isn't easy to perform..." She recalled.

"Or maybe, this world isn't as we expected..." Neptune assumed. "Like a superhero story."

"Yeah, a really dark one." Jaune nodded, as he knows some superhero media, this one is different.

Watching the scene goes on, seeing this version of Summer calling herself Trinity, trying to motivate herself oddly. No idea what is going on, however they will find out soon enough.

Outside the street, she runs out of the alley, to the end of the block, where she sees a telephone booth slight afar.

Still wounded, she walks however with a quick pace, right as the phone starts to ring by itself? Not that it matters to her as she rushes there...

But a garbage truck passing across the street suddenly does a huge turn. Tires screech as it turns to aim at the phone booth. Realizing the situation, she makes a full run right as the tires spin on the road pavement.

Racing the truck, she quickly gets inside to pick up the phone... Right as she witnesses the truck's headlights glow brighter- A big crash, as the truck goes through the brick wall breaking it down.

Someone comes out of the cab, it was Watts, he inspects the rummage... Only to see nobody. As if she's disappeared...

The other two Agents enter the crash scene, "She got out." The second spoke with a monotone voice.

"It doesn't matter." Watts replied, his expression remains neutral.

"The informant is real." The third Agent stated.

To which Watts slowly pokes a small smile, "Yes." He said.

"...We have the name of their next target." The second Agent replies that his previous sentence is non-existent.

"The name is Neo." The third Agent confirmed.

They see the handset of the phone in the pile of rubble, "We'll need a search running." Watts advised.

"It's already begun." The second Agent confirmed.

Deep within the phone, inside the mouthpiece closer... Inside is darkness, then the green flickers of light occur, like a computer screen, as the windowing data runs in a steady relentless rhythm...

The chase continues, running to the phone booth, until the truck occurs, confusing the others. Right as the scene plays of Trinity getting inside the booth. This worries Ruby and Yang, along with Qrow slowly gripping his flask, but the end has shown to be...

"Wait, where did she go?" Nora exclaimed.

"And that guy just suddenly driving the truck and somehow just saw her from the street?" Sun questioned.

"And what about the driver, did he take the truck or some kind of super secret truck?" Jaune asked.

"And how did she disappear...?" Penny curiously wondered about the aftermath of the destruction.

"..." No one got an answer for that. Magic? It's ludicrous (lmao), they won't speak or theorize due to how vague this scenario is. Then they hear the Agents speak of their culprit.

"Neo..." Ozpin repeated the word in a whisper tone. He wonders who this person is.

Team RWBY heard that name before, Yang really hopes this 'Neo' person isn't what she thinks she is. She'll still want a rematch... (Khaos here, and sorry Yang, you won't get a rematch against her, and calm down Volume 9 viewers, you know that I meant specifically Neo)

Until this moment, they are more intrigued to see what this mysterious world is showing.

Right as it reveals a mere computer monitor. The apartment room is filled with technology, such as cables, coiled and duct-taped around the legs of the desk. Tabletops are filled with cannibalized equipment that lay open.

And right there, a man on the desk, asleep. Tan skin, blonde hair features, then a computer in front of him, types a text: 'Wake up, Neo.'

Eyes opened, he wakes up, a bit slurred by his sleep. He sees the screen, seeing the text. "What...?" He got confused, he types down on the keyboard, trying to respond to this message.

Then it types again; 'The Matrix has you.'

"What the hell...?" He muttered, as he tried to press the 'esc' key.

It shows another message; 'Follow the white rabbit.' Seeing it, he hits the key again, right as he rubs his eyes from recovering from sleep... Till he sees another message; 'Knock, knock, Neo.'

And a second moment, a door knock occurs, he turns unnerved suddenly to the door. "Who is it?" He calls out.

"It's Choi." A man's voice muffles out, but it is clear enough. He gets up, and flips a lock and opens the door, leaving only the chain. A young-looking man stands there with his friends.

"...You're two hours late." He said.

Choi sighed, "I know. It's her fault." He mentions his girlfriend who's here beside him.

"You got the money?" Neo asked.

Choi takes out an envelope, "Two grand." He hands him the letter as he checks it out.

"Hold on." Neo replies, closing the door. He scurries through his room, he picks up a book from the floor. Opening up, reveals its hollowed out, inside are computer disks. He takes one, in exchange for placing the money inside and places the book. Reaching the door, he opens and hands him the item.

"Hallelujah! You are my Savior, man!" Choi smirked as he got his hand on the disk.

"If you get caught-" He warned.

"know, I know." Choi assured. "This never happened. You don't exist." He pointed at him.

"Right..." He nodded, as he sighed deeply. Choi noticed his appearance...

"Something wrong, man? You look a little paler there." Choi asked.

"I don't know... My computer just..." He pointed back to his room, though he couldn't explain what's going on. He instead suggested something, "Do you ever have the feeling that you're not sure if you're awake or still dreaming?" He wondered.

"All the time. It's called mescaline and it is the only way to fly." Choi replied, not taking the question as intended as he asked. "It sounds to me like you need to unplug, man. A little R&R. What do you think, Dujour, should we take him with us?" He suggested it to his girlfriend.

"Definitely." She nodded.

"I can't. I have to work tomorrow." Neo refused the offer.

"Come on. It'll be fun. I promise." She is tempted, just as he looks at her... He notices a tattoo on her arm... A small white rabbit.

"..." Recalling the message, "Yeah, yeah. Sure, I'll go." He accepted the invite.

At an old apartment, through a series of halls connected with a chain of rooms. Smoke hangs down like a curtain veil, with a few blurring lights. Everyone is everywhere, all in black outfits as the music boosts out loud.

Neo himself is standing, alone, and against the wall. He sips a bottle, until a woman approaches him, noticing her arrival, he turns. Seeing none other the same woman, as Trinity. "Hello Neo." She greeted me.

Surprised, however, he composed himself, "How do you know that name?" He asked.

"I know a lot about you. I've been wanting to meet you for some time." She stated.

"...Who are you?" Neo questioned the woman.

"My name is Trinity." She introduced herself.

Neo perked up by her name reveal, Trinity? The Trinity? The Trinity that cracked the I.R.S. D-Base?" He asked in surprise.

"That was a long time ago." Trinity smiled.

"Jeez..." Neo is still surprised by this reveal, taking a moment.

"What?" Trinity asked.

"I just thought... You were a guy." Neo assumed.

"Most guys do." Trinity assured, which Neo looks a bit embarrassed.

"...Do you want to go somewhere and talk?" Neo suggested.

"No. It's safe here and I don't have much time." Trinity replied that she comes close to him as the music goes loud.

"That was you on my computer?" He whispered to her, which she nodded. "How did you do that?"

"Right now, all I can tell you is that you are in danger. I brought you here to warn you." She stated.

"Of what?" Neo asked.

"They're watching you, Neo." Trinity replied.

Confused by this warning, "Who is?" He wondered.

She goes closer, so her mouth speaks softly to his ear. "Please. Just listen. I know why you're here, Neo. I know what you've been doing. I know why you hardly sleep, why you live alone and why, night after night, you sit at your computer. You're looking for him." Neo listens, not replying as she continues, "I know because I was once looking for the same thing, but when he found me he told me I wasn't really looking for him. I was looking for an answer. It's the question that drives us, the question that brought you here. You know the question just as I did."

"...What is the Matrix?" He asked.

"When I asked him, he said that no one could ever be told the answer to that question. They have to see it to believe it." Trinity explains, not giving the full answer. "The answer is out there, Neo. It's looking for you and it will find you, if you want it to."

With that she moves and turns, walking away, seemingly disappearing through the crowd. All while Neo watches, taking a moment of what's going on.

It was then, they saw who this person assumed to be, thus Ruby and Yang could only say one word in a shout..."Dad!?" Both exclaimed.

"Your father?" Weiss perked up. "You both seemed surprised, way too much..." She noticed.

"Well, it's Dad and the computer... These two don't mix..." Ruby pointed those two at the screen.

"You're telling me..." Qrow agreed from his side. Seeing Taiyang here gives off some uncanny vibe. "So that must be Neo, must be important for these over the top suit men." They reminded him of Atlas Specialists, Winter light sneezing all of a sudden.

"Um, you guys act like he's not that good at computers, surely"

"He's not that good..." Yang affirmed. Blake gives a subtle nod, recalling he tried mailing that dog inside the mail.

"He's also a hacker. Providing illegal discs to his customers." Glynda remarked.

"Yeah, that's the most unrealistic thing I 've ever heard of." Qrow replied.

"Uh, guys, we have some sort of computer going on as if the computer just told the whole situation as it's being predicted." Coco called out the scenario.

"You're right, and this technology isn't advanced enough to survey the area ahead." Penny acknowledged.

"See?" The scene later plays out that Taiyang variant is calling out his computer. Coco recalled this as she said it.

Then they hear this question; 'Do you ever have the feeling that you're not sure if you're awake or still dreaming' Sometimes they do get it, but not to this extent. (Wait till they get to the Ever After)

"Hmph, way to go with that answer." Weiss scoffed at Choi's answer to Neo's question.

Just then, the next scene shows the tattoo of the white rabbit. Recalling the message on the computer screen, "Okay, this is getting weirder and weirder..." Jaune winced by this sudden vague messaging.

They agree, then the scene plays out at a party where they see Summer and Taiyang meet together. They soon listen, wanting to know what's going on. Even then, her messages are extremely vague.

Even they wondered and repeated the same thoughts from Taiyang. How? Who? And most importantly...

"What is the Matrix..." James whispered that word.

"Matrix?" Mercury perked up by the name. "What's that some kind of device or a phrase?" He asked the two Entities, who Mobius remains silent while Khaos shushes him with his finger. "Alright..." He mumbled with an annoyed tone by Khaos.

Cinder is also curious by that Matrix, acting as if it's a powerful item, she will be more intrigued. In her hopes,

They listen to this cryptic talk, wondering more on what it means the Matrix is out there.

Next day, an alarm clock rings, making Neo wake up. He sees the time to be 9:15 am, his eyes widen in realization... "Shit! Shit shit!" He cursed, because he's late.

In a different location, a skyscraper with the name of 'Meta CorTechs', inside there is an office. A man and Neo are there, as the man types his computer, while the latter waits, glancing by two window cleaners scaffolding outside.

"You have a problem with authority, Mr. Xiao Long. You believe that you are special, that somehow the rules do not apply to you. Obviously, you are mistaken." The man lectures him as he continues typing. "This company is one of the top software companies in the world because every single employee understands that they are a part of a whole. Thus, if an employee has a problem, the company has a problem." He turns again. "The time has come to make a choice, Mr. Xiao Long. Either you choose to be at your desk on time from this day forth, or you choose to find yourself another job. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes, Mr. Rhineheart. Perfectly clear." Neo, now his name fully confirmed to be Taiyang Xiao Long himself nodded.

Later on, he's in his office space, the entire floor looks like an eerie honeycomb. "Taiyang Xiao Long?" A voice gains his attention, he turns to see a delivery man at his cubicle door.

"Yeah. That's me." He said, the delivery guy hands him the pad, he signs which the man hands him the softpak.

"Have a nice day." The delivery man walks off.

Taiyang looks at the softpak, opening it, revealing inside a cellular phone. Suddenly it rings, he flips it open. "Hello?" He responded.

"Hello, Neo. Do you know who this is?" A familiar voice calls out.

His knees quickly give and he sinks into his chair. "Morpheus..." He gasped softly.

"I've been looking for you, Neo. I don't know if you're ready to see what I want to show you, but unfortunately, we have run out of time. They're coming for you, Neo. And I'm not sure what they're going to do." Morpheus stated with sudden hints of danger warning to him.

"Who's coming for me?" He asked.

"Stand up and see for yourself." Morpheus advised.

"Right now?" He asked again.

"Yes. Now." Morpheus affirmed. Neo starts to stand, "Do it slowly. The elevator." The added instruction he slowly peeks over the partition. Right at the elevator, he sees Agent Watts, with the other two as well.

Along with a group of cops, a female employee points them out at his cubicle. He quickly ducks, "Holy shit!" He quietly panics.

"Yes." Morpheus replied as if he saw his situation. One cop stays at the elevator as the rest follow the Agents.

"What the hell do they want with me?!" He softly exclaimed, trying to keep hushed.

"I'm not sure, but if you don't want to find out, you better get out of there." Morpheus suggested.

"How?!" He questioned.

"I can guide you out, but you have to do exactly what I say." Morpheus advises him as the agents are moving quickly towards his cubicle. "The cubicle across from you is empty." He stated.

"But what if..." He seemed hesitant.

"Go! Now!" Morpheus demanded. With no choice, he lunges across the hall, heading to the location just as the Agents turn and arrive in his row.

Neo lunges across the hall, diving into the other cubicle just as the Agents turn into his row. Now cramming into a corner, whilst still holding the phone tight. "A little longer..." Morpheus, stated as an Agent, is talking to another employee. "When I tell you, go to the end of the row to the first office on the left, stay as low as you can."

"..." Waiting nervously for his command...

"Now." A second past, he rolls out of the area. Noticing the cop from behind, who hasn't seen him, he stays crouched and sneaks down the row. There he heads to an opening door on the left. He's in the empty office room, "Good. Outside there is a scaffold." Morpheus' voice instructed.

"How do you know all this?" Neo questioned him and his instructions.

A soft chuckle responded, "The answer is coming, Neo. There is a window in front of you. Open it." He said, with that Neo opens the window as huge wind howls. "You can use the scaffold to get to the roof."

Realizing the risks, "No! It's too far away." Neo worried.

"There's a ledge. It's a short, short climb. You can make it." Morpheus advised.

To which Neo looks down through the window... And the concrete chasm... "No way, no way, this is crazy." Neo shook his head rapidly.

"There are only two ways out of this building. One is that scaffold. The other is in their custody. You take a chance either way. I leave it to you." With that he hangs up with a click.

Neo seeing the door and the scaffold... He takes the latter while still muttering, "This is insane! Why is this happening to me? What did I do? I'm nobody. I didn't do anything." Whilst he continued to climb on the window ledge, hanging at the edge of the frame. He steps on the small ledge, seeing the scaffold within distance. "I'm going to die." He fretted, right as the huge gust of wind blew out, nearly knocking him off. He clings onto the frame, as the phone he holds falls out. He watches the distance of the drop, and realizes this... "This is insane! I can't do this! Forget it!" He squeamish climbs back into the office, right as the cop enters. "Shit!" He muttered.

Outside the building, the Agents have handcuffed him, escorting him out to their vehicle. Right as Trinity herself watches the scene through the motorcycle's rear view mirror.

"Shit." She grunted.

Hearing this talk between this so-called boss and Taiyang. Weiss hears this, recalls the time of the Schnee Dust Company being something like this. Hence it's always troubling within meetings, due to the Company's controversy issues that Blake pointed out.

And the man... The way he says, 'You believe that you are special, that somehow the rules do not apply to you. Obviously, you are mistaken', this line dreads her. Is this what her father thinks of, during her pursuit to become a Huntress.

Weiss slightly shook her head, she's gonna forget that moment and just continue watching. However Mobius and Khaos can read all of this happening, the two glanced at the heiress. Another break moment after this is done...

The next scene shows the office, some do feel this boredom happening, and that's due to how stale this office room looks.

"So that's his occupation? Even more unbelievable." Qrow remarked at the office job. Ruby and Yang solemnly nodded, since this is still an odd depiction of this version of their Dad.

"You guys, can't be this serious about doubting your father..." Pyrrha replied, seeing the family being in unison about their father.

"Trust me, Pyrrha." Yang called out. "Our Dad struggles with computers." She affirmed as right as the mail came in with the phone...

"Oh boy..." Sun sighed, hearing Morpheus' voice.

"Oh no..." Velvet worried, upon seeing the Agents coming. Upon that moment the instructions were given to Taiyang.

"How does he do that?" Fox queried. "There are no cameras, yet the instructions and predictions are clear..."

"Whatever the case, it seems to be working." Yatsuhashi added, then the last instruction occurred. "Though this may be a limit for his willingness to follow." Seeing that Neo here is now alone and is making a choice that'll change.

"But he's going to get out. These Agents are bad, are they?" Velvet assumed.

"We do not know that, Scarlatina." Glynda replied. "These Agents are doing their job and Neo is a hacker, doing illegal acts of offerings."

"Yeah, the thing is, they might be doing their job a bit on the nose, aren't they?" Qrow suggested.

"Yes, it is clear their actions are... Destructive." Glynda recalled the last time the Agents were in action. "However, they are still somewhat a service higher than police enforcement."

"Well, I'm willing to bet that they are the bad guys." Qrow pointed to the Agents. Glynda sighed and moved on.

"Come on, Dad..." Ruby hoped for him to make the choice. The latter in fact, but unfortunate, her father's variant runs back inside. And has been caught.

"Dang it..." Yang sighed seeing him getting caught.

"So she was waiting for him..." Blake remarked, seeing the arrest happening which Summer aka Trinity is nearby.

"What's gonna happen now?" Ruby asked.

"Calm down, I'm sure these Agents won't do any harm to him." Weiss assured. Surely these men are more reasonable authority figures...

In the security room, one of the monitors shows a white room with a table and two chairs. Neo is in there as well, alone.

In the room, Agent Watts enters inside, sitting on the other chair. He places down a thick envelope on the table, with the file name of Neo's name: Taiyang Xiao Long.

"As you can see, we've had our eye on you for some time now, Mr. Xiao Long." Watts affirmed, opening the file, reading them though his shades cover his eyes. "It seems that you have been living two lives. In one life, you are Taiyang Xiao Long, program writer for a respectable software company. You have a social security number, you pay your taxes and you help your landlady carry out her garbage." He flips a page to continue reading, "The other life is lived in computers where you go by the hacker alias Neo, and are guilty of virtually every computer crime we have a law for." He reveals his secret side of his life.

"..." Hearing this, he grew worryingly mentally.

"One of these lives has a future. One of them does not." Watts closes the file, as he takes his shades off. "I'm going to be as forthcoming as I can be, Mr. Xiao Long. You are here because we need your help. We know that you have been contacted by a certain individual. A man who calls himself Morpheus. Whatever you think you know about this man is irrelevant. The fact is that he is wanted for acts of terrorism in more countries than any other man in the world. He is considered by many authorities to be the most dangerous man alive."

"..." Taiyang aka Neo, stares at him, staying quiet.

Watts leans closer, "My colleagues believe that I am wasting my time with you but I believe you want to do the right thing. It is obvious that you are an intelligent man, Mr. Xiao Long, and that you are interested in the future. That is why I believe you are ready to put your past mistakes behind you and get on with your life." He stated, while still being stared. "We are willing to wipe the slate clean, to give you a fresh start and all we are asking in return is your cooperation in bringing a known terrorist to justice." He assured me.

Neo nods to himself, "Yeah... Wow. That sounds like a real good deal. But I think I have a better one. How about I just give you the finger..." He gives out a middle finger to Watts, "And you give me my phone call." He smirked.

Watts, unfazed, puts his shades back on, "You disappoint me, Mr. Xiao Long." He speaks with disappointment.

"You can't scare me with this Gestapo crap. I know my rights. I want my phone call." He stated.

To which Agent Watts smiles, "And tell me, Mr. Xiao Long, what good is a phone call if you are unable to speak?" He questioned.

Confused, he tries to speak back... But can't, as if his jaws are slam shut... He watches Agent Watts continue to smile, realizing his lips slowly fading away, melding each other, growing soft and sticky.

Sudden fear, he lunges at the door, but the other two Agents restrain him into the chair. Watts says, "You are going to help us, Mr. Xiao Long, whether you want to or not." He verified, he then nodded the other two.

Their next action, the two ripped his shirt open. Watts takes a case open, from his suit coat... He holds a long, fiber-optic wire tap.

Watching Neo struggle, he dangles the wire over his exposed abdomen, as it then the wire self-animate, moving like a worm with mechanical looks. Helpless and panicked, the worm uses its thin, whisker-like tendrils and probes his navel, right it begins to burrow inside, tail thrashing as Neo tries to scream.

No sound came out...

"See, it seems he's more interested in this Morpheus person." Weiss replied towards the scene.

"But he's not gonna say it." Blake mentioned. "The two seemingly know each other."

"But, Qrow isn't a terrorist." Ruby grunted, by hearing Agent Watts saying the word about Morpheus.

"Careful Miss Rose, this is a Multiverse." Glynda reminded. "Even though we may be in roles that might be... Ludicrous."

"Hmph, if his attitude showed, he might as well act like one." Winter muttered to herself.

"That's the typical bad guy trying to paint themselves a good guy." Qrow called out. "Besides, he gets the right idea." He pointed out Taiyang pulling the middle finger, a good ol classic pal of his.

"Wow, way to go Dad." Yang whistled at the remark.

"Hm, he does have a point." James nodded, by Taiyang remarks. Despite a potential felon, he still has his rights in defense.

Only to Watt's next sentence... Seeing Taiyang's mouth being melded together...

"Dad!?"Ruby exclaimed.

"What the..." Mercury flabbergasted.

"How did he do it?" Cinder was surprised by this supernatural phenomenon.

"How is he doing this!?" Weiss questioned in shock.

"What are they doing to him!" Yang demanded in anger, seeing the Agents trying to restrain Taiyang.

"Ugh gross..." Emerald witnessed the line being shown to be a worm. "What is that?" She asks, but gets no answer from the two entities.

Neo screams, bolted from his bed. He looks around to see himself at home... Was that a dream? He thoughted, he checked his mouth, and stomach, both are seemingly fine...

Then a phone rings, he turns to it, the phone continues to ring. Tension occurs, he goes out of his bed and picks it up...

"This line is tapped so I must be brief." Morpheus' voice returns once more.

Realizing this may not be a dream... "The Agents..." He recalled.

"They got to you first, but they've underestimated how important you are. If they knew what I know, you would probably be dead." Morpheus assured.

This worried him more, "What are you talking about? What the hell is happening to me?" He questioned.

"You're the One, Neo." Morpheus stated. "You see, you may have spent the last few years looking for me, but I've spent most of my life looking for you." This caused Neo to be more confused than ever... "Do you still want to meet?" He asked.

He needed answers. "...Yes."

"Go to the Adams Street bridge." He instructed, then the call went off. Leaving Neo to think for himself at this moment...

Outside, it is the middle of the night. Neo walks through, under the bridge, right as the rain pours from the sky.

Waiting for something... He then notices a car arriving from behind as it stopped in front of him. Then the door opens...

Trinity is in there, "Get in." She stated.

He got in, as the car moved forward through the rainy road. He sees two more people he has never met, a man driving and the woman in the front seat next to him. Suddenly, she takes out a gun and aims at him.

"What the hell is this?!" Neo fretted.

Trinity tries to ease the situation, "It's necessary, Neo. For our protection." She clarified.

"From what?" Neo asked.

"From you." Trinity stated, before she takes out a strange object that looks like a glass device.

"Take off your shirt." The woman holding the gun demanded.

"What? Why?" Neo questioned.

"Stop the car." She stated, as the driver stopped. "Listen to me, coppertop! We don't have time for 'twenty questions.' Right now there is only one rule. Our way or the highway." She angrily replied.

"...Fine." Neo opens the door and is about to leave.

"Neo, please, you have to trust me." Trinity calls out.

"Why?" Neo asked, still confused about what's going on.

"Because you've been down there, Neo. You already know that road. You know exactly where it ends." Trinity replied, recalling his moments. Neo looks back to the outside of the rain and the street. "And I know that's not where you want to be."

With a moment, he closes the door, after all, he needs to know... The car moves forward, as he grudgingly takes off his shirt.

"Lie back." Trinity commanded, holding and aiming the device at him. As its glass snout is forming a seal over his navel. Meanwhile the woman snaps a cable into the front seat cigarette lighter.

"What is this thing?" He asked, "What's going on?"

"We think you're bugged. Try to relax." Trinity assured. Turning the dial as the machine bears down, then the cylinder activates, causing Neo to scream in pain. She watches the needle on the gauge climb steadily. "Come on, come on..."

She watches the small monitor of Neo's inside like an ultrasound-like image. There was something moving inside, Neo even notices his stomach moves, like a slither and churn.

"It's on the move." The woman calls out.

"Shit." Trinity cursed.

"You're gonna lose it." She warned.

"No I'm not." Trinity affirmed herself, marking the specific position... Then trigger pressed. Electric current hammers into Neo, a moment instant as something finally rockets out of Neo's stomach through the extractor coils!

"Jeez! It's real!? That thing is real?!" Neo exclaimed upon witnessing Trinity holding a glass cage from the device, inside was the worm itself, squirming around as it was trying to free itself.

She unrolls the window and tosses it out, leaving it on the rainy road as the car drives off.

"That's just a dream!?" Jaune questioned but both were relieved by this sudden wake. Until the phone call occurred and Morpheus spoke. "Or maybe not..."

"They just magically cover his mouth, put that disgusting thing inside and then drop him off..." Coco recalled everything that just happened. "Yep, this world is screwed up."

"Yep kiddo, something tells me this ain't good guy material." Qrow replied.

"You are right..." Glynda agreed, not wanting to admit her previous statement as correct. She's incorrect and this previous action proves that, which still startles her by this sudden occurrence.

Next scene, they see Trinity with the two more people they didn't recognize. Relief comes to those who know her and others seeing them as a good side.

"Wait, that thing is still inside?!" Jaune grossed out, hearing the demand of taking the shirt off.

"It is understandable he gets questions..." Ren replied towards Neo's questions and the woman's response.

"Please..." Ruby hoped again, to see him willing to join in, even glad to see her alternate mother trying to convince him. She smiled when he was still in the car.

"Literally..." Yang commented quietly, towards the 'bugged' quote.

"I'm not gonna look..." Jaune looks away from the process of removing the worm from him.

"Come on, Trinity, get it out!" Nora cheered for her, Ruby silently cheered on, joining in.

"Yeah, it does feel real..." Fox remarked Neo's words upon seeing the worm inside the tube.

"Ugh, how is he not dead by this?" Emerald grunted, seeing the worm being tossed out.

The car went on, till it stopped at a deserted alley behind a large hotel. Inside, Neo is being guided by Trinity and the others through the stairwell. Right as they stop at the floor, they enter room '1313'.

"This is it." Trinity stated, turning to Neo. "Let me give one piece of advice. Be honest. He knows more than you can possibly imagine."

With that advice, she lets Neo himself go into the room... He sees a figure in dark clothing staring out the big windows. Then he turns, dark hair, fair skin and all notably the circular mirrored shades.

"At last." He smirked as thunder flashes. He walks forward, the later the two shake hands. "Welcome, Neo. As you no doubt have guessed, I am Morpheus." He introduced himself.

"It's an honor." Neo replied.

"No, the honor is mine. Please. Come. Sit." Morphues gestures as he nods to Trinity when she leaves the room. The two now sat on the burgundy-leather chairs. "I imagine, right now, you must be feeling a bit like Alyx, tumbling down to a new world?" He assumed.

"You could say that." Neo nodded.

"I can see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up." Morpheus smiled. "Ironically, this is not far from the truth. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Can you tell me, Neo, why are you here?" He asked.

"You're Morpheus. You're a legend. Most hackers would die to meet you." He said with no hindrance from this statement, sounds like he means it literally.

"Yes. Thank you. But I think we both know there's more to it than that." Morpheus said, "Do you believe in fate, Neo?" He was curiously waiting for his answer.

"No." A simple and firm reply.

"Why not?" He asked.

"Because I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life." Neo explained.

Morpheus then smiled more, "I know exactly what you mean." He asserted, "Let me tell you why you are here. You have come because you know something. What you know you can't explain but you feel it. You've felt it your whole life, felt that something is wrong with the world. You don't know what, but it's there like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that brought you to me." He explained. "Do you know what I'm talking about?"

"The Matrix?" Neo recalled.

"Do you want to know what it is?" Morpheus asked, to which he got a nod in response. "...The Matrix is everywhere, it's all around us, here even in this room. You can see it out your window or on your television. You feel it when you go to work, or go to church or pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth."

"What truth?" Neo wondered what he's saying.

"That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, kept inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind." Morphues leans back on the chair as the leather cracks. "Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is. You have to see it for yourself."

"..." Silence, Neo sees Morpheus show his hands, then he opens them. In his right hand is a red pill. On the left, a blue pill.

"This is your last chance. After this, there is no going back." Morpheus warns, "You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes." He stated.

"..." Silence again, Neo sees the two pills, looking at either one... He slowly goes for the red pill...

"Remember," He stopped by his voice, "That all I am offering is the truth. Nothing more." He restated.

Despite that, Neo takes the red pill. He swallows it with a cup of water, as Morpheus smiles at his decision. "Follow me."

Upon seeing the hotel, they waited for the scene to play out, and finally introduced Morpheus... Which is Qrow himself.

"Huh, a lot of you guys are wearing shades." Coco just now realized these people are wearing shades. Not to say it's a bad thing... She adjusted her shades as well.

"Coco..." Velvet sighed, with Fox and Yatsuhashi joining in. Ozpin then recalls hearing the name 'Alyx' from the fairytale of the girl who fell into another world... Perhaps a hint?

"This better give us answers..." Sun, hoping to see it happen, when seeing the meeting is treated with these two in respect.

Then there is the question of Fate, brought by Morpheus, Qrow himself perked by that. Everyone else sees this as well.

'Do you believe in fate', this quote intrigues them. Then the answer from Taiyang said with an immediate 'no'. Then he explains why, 'Because I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life'.

Pyrrha hearing this, feeling mixed upon hearing this. To her, she destined herself to be a great Huntress, as a kind hearted soul. But hearing this, if you believe in fate or destiny do you not get control of yourself... She feels a bit troubled.

Jaune replied, "I get that." He agreed with Taiyang's answer. "I mean, it kinda feels like we want to go on with our own lives." He tried to explain the answer. Pyrrha hears this, and even more troubling feelings occur within her.

Ozpin hears this as well, recalling his mission from the Brother of Light. recalling this mission while he did agree upon, was not his control of his own life...

Qrow also hears about Fate from him, now in the first reality and this. It was a total opposite. For one he is destined for the Fate of bad luck, and here this version is against it.

It seems Mobius and Khaos have some talks with those people who have such high deep conflicts about themselves. They'll need to talk to Weiss, Pyrrha, Qrow, and Ozpin.

"Okay, he's going to finally explain the Matrix..." Neptune noticed and is listening. So does everyone else, now changed their state of mind.

"So it's like a slave prison?" Fox assumed.

"It's still not enough... Maybe this might be more than just a worded answer." Ren replied, seeing this answer cannot be explained but shown.

"I guess showing is gonna be effective." Sun said. "Show, don't tell."

They hear the two decisions, the blue pill, and the red pill. And they see Taiyang take the red pill. They hoped to see this visual representation of what the Matrix is...

Leading him to another room, filled with high-tech equipment, with monitors. Trinity, along with two people from the car, and a third one is there, as they look at their arrival.

He leads Neo into the other room, which is cramped with high-tech equipment, glowing ash-blue and electric green from the racks of monitors. Trinity, Apoc, Switch and Cypher look up as they enter.

"Apoc, are we online?" Morpheus calls out the driver's name.

"Almost." The man named Apoc replies, working with Trinity through the computers.

"Neo, time is always against us. Will you take a seat there?" Morpheus advised, gesturing to the chair in the middle of the room.

Neo sits on the chair, staring at Trinity working. Next to the chair is an old oval dressing mirror, "You did all this?" He wondered quietly to her.

"The pill you took is part of a trace program. It's designed to disrupt your input/output carrier signal so we can pinpoint your location." Morpheus explained the process.

"What does that mean?" He asked.

"It means buckle up, Alyx, 'cause Vale is going bye-bye." The man replied, with the same voice spoken from the beginning. He types on the keyboard, Neo turns to see the mirror now, suddenly the mirror looks odd, the cracks on it, heals itself...

He reaches his finger... Touching the mirror, only to feel the solid glass as liquid. "Did you...?" He stuttered in shock. The rest of the others work on their computers, monitoring the status of Neo himself, through data and vital signs.

Right as Neo pulled his finger out of the mirror, only the liquid on his finger stuck onto him. Like rubber it snaps off, as Morpheus spoke, "Have you ever had a dream, Neo, that you were so sure was real?" He asked.

"This can't be..." Neo muttered.

"Be what? Be real?" Morpheus responded to his denial. "What if you were unable to wake from that dream, Neo? How would you know the difference between the dreamworld and the real world?" He asked.

The reflective liquid spread like melted wax through his hand, "Uh-oh..." Neo murmured, as it continued almost to his arm.

"It's going into replication." Trinity announced.

"Apoc?" Morpheus spoke out.

"Still nothing." Apoc replied.

To which Morpheus takes out a cellular phone and dials a number, getting a call, "Tank, we're going to need the signal soon." He demanded.

The mirror liquid goes on, now crawling up his arm, and slowly to his neck. Neo panics, looking up, gasping for air. "It's cold..." He muttered.

"I got fibrillation!" Trinity yelled with a tint of worry.

"Shit! Apoc?" Morpheus turns to him as Neo is about to be covered by the mirror liquid.

"Targeting... Almost there." Apoc stated.

An alarm erupts on Trinity's monitor, "He's going into arrest!" She shouted.

"Lock! I got him!" Apoc confirmed.

"Now, Tank, now!" Morpheus yelled.

Neo screams as the liquid flows in his mouth... His yells are pitched, electric shrieks swallowed in darkness...

Suddenly, the next moment, he's inside. A giant pod, filled with gelatin, as he's covered with tubes all over him. His body continued to spasm, until he broke off the gel of the pod.

Out, he grabs a device on his face, pulling it out, revealing a tube deep inside his mouth. Dropping it, he gasps for air. Completely bald and naked, he looks around, dizzy and nauseous. He can hazily witness his surroundings.

He looks at some oval capsule filled with gel, he looks to see more tubes around his arms. It even has outlets that have been grafted to his flesh. He felt a large tube at the back of his head. He tries to pull it, but lacks the strength.

He then notices something, looking down, he sees thousands if not millions of capsules like his. All in towers, tall as skyscrapers...

Before he can comprehend... A giant machine hovers down in front of him. Its light stares at him, its insect-like appearance scans him. Then it uses a mechanical grip to grab his neck, it then paralyzes him, right as the cable from the back of his release.

The tubes pop out of him, causing him pain, oozing out fluid and blood. Then after it's done, the machine lets go and leaves. Suddenly the floor of the capsule opened up, causing him to slide down.

He goes down the pipe, splashing in a pool of water. He struggles to swim, slowly drowning... A metallic something grabs him.

He gets lifted up, carried by some harness, by a giant flying vessel. Lights flash at him, as he gets inside. And he is in, and drops softly onto the floor. He hazily gazes to see someone coming to him. More than one, a group of people arrive. He can only see one person he recognizes...

Morpheus, "Welcome to the real world, Neo..." The man himself smiled, as Neo passed out...

"Heh, even more shades fellas." Coco admires the style of the group, though she wishes their fashion were better.

"Apoc, another one of these names. Are they like a code name or something, like those secret code agents?" Sun commented.

"Everyone gets the agent titles eh?" Neptune smirked.

"Hey, just got a bunch of action packed movies to see." Sun shrugged.

"So that's what the pill does? It traces him down?" Jaune perked up. "So like a tracking beacon inside his belly..."

"But, they have him here..." Ren noticed the odd scenario happening.

The next scene gained everyone's attention. The mirror itself, broken, has been fixed by itself, then when Neo touched it... "Woah, the mirror became taffy?" Nora exclaimed.

"This can't be real..." Weiss repeated those words.

Then they hear Morpheus' words 'How would you know the difference between the dreamworld and the real world'. Seeing how the mirror liquid nearly consumes Neo.

"Aren't they gonna do something?" Velvet questioned the people, only seemingly focusing on the computers.

Just that, they see Neo fully covered, as his screams glitches which confuses them all... Then the other scene reveals to them all...

"What the..." Emerald gasped by seeing where Neo came upon. Everyone is with her, what is going on... What they witnessed this, once decent hotel room. Was a dark cloudy wasteland with towers filled with... Pods?

No words spoken, then they see a massive machine and some gasps occur, seeing the tubes popping out of Neo, which grossed out some people. Seeing him then flush down in the pool of water, drowning. Ruby and Yang worried, until something picked him up.

Then they see Morpheus himself, who later confirmed the words. "Welcome to the real world..." Yatsuhashi repeated. "Can this world we see before... An illusion?" He wondered.

Many thought the same thing, now they are wanting more answers...

Later on, Neo's eyes flutter and strained by a light, hearing whispers by Trinity and Morpheus.

"We've done it, Trinity. We found him." Morpheus stated.

"I hope you're right." Trinity replied to him.

"I don't have to hope for it. I know it." He assured me.

"...Am I dead?" Neo muttered.

"Far from it." Morpheus responded to him.

A moment Neo slowly blinks, seeing his body is nearly covered by many dozens of acupuncture needles, wired to a device.

"He still needs a lot of work." Another man with dark skin replied to Morpheus.

"...What are you doing?" Neo wondered.

"Your muscles have atrophied. We're rebuilding them." Morpheus answered calmly.

Neo slowly strains his eyes, "Why do my eyes hurt?" He groaned.

"You've never used them before." He explained, he then helped close his eyes, letting Neo lay back. "Rest, Neo. The answers are coming." He assured him.

Later on, Neo wakes up from a deep sleep. Now better, he checks himself, there are the grafted outlets on his arms. Then he runs his short hair head, feeling the large outlet behind his head.

Just then, Morpheus opens the door and enters. "Morpheus, what's happened to me? What is this place?" Neo asked.

"More important than what is when?" Morpheus noted.

"When?" Neo questioned.

"You believe the year is 1997 when in fact it is much closer to 2197. I can't say for certain what year it is because we honestly do not know." Morpheus speculated. This lets Neo be surprised. "There is no reason for me to try to explain it when I can simply show it. Come with me." He proposed.

Neo follows him, Morpheus explains more, "This is my ship, the Nebuchadnezzar. It's a hovercraft. Small like a submarine. It's cramped and cold. But it's home." He stated. They climb up the ladder, they both see everyone there. "This is the main deck. You know most of my crew." Trinity is there as she smiles and nods to him. "The ones you don't know. That's Mouse, Cypher, and Switch. Those two guys are Tank and Dozer."

"..." Neo watches these people.

He pointed to these people, Mouse is the scrawny looking person, then Tank and Dozer are the new members. With the rest being seen in the other reality. "And this, this is the Core. This is where we broadcast our pirate signal and hack into the Matrix." Morpheus pointed out the environment filled with bizarre electronic equipment. And there are six ecto-skeleton chairs with alloy frame and suspension harness. And near the circle of chairs is the control console and operator's station. "You want to know what the Matrix is, Neo? The answer is right here." He touches the back of Neo's head.

"..." Neo is still confused by this.

"Help him, Trinity." He calls out to her. She guided Neo to open the chairs, as Morpheus guided him to the coaxial line into the jack of the back of his neck. The cable is the same as the previous machine. "This will feel a little weird." He mentioned.

The process of recovery goes on, and seeing the condition makes some people squeamish by the amount of needles acupuncture on him.

"He never uses his eyes...?" Pyrrha worried, upon hearing this. Everyone also noticed the recovery was so drastic, as if he woke up from an endless slumber...

Later they see Neo wake up, and him touching the outlet behind his head/neck. This creeped out them before and seeing it up close, it's still creepy, due to the fact it's attached to his flesh...

Morpheus arrives and soon they listen, hearing the word 'when' and the reveal of the timeline... "1997..." James hears the number of the year. "About two centuries past..." He concluded.

"What exactly happened...?" Winter rhetorically questioned.

"The Nebu..." Nora tried to pronounce the word of the ship's name. "Ugh, why must these names be so difficult?" She whined. While the others see the new members they have never seen.

"What kind of name is that?" Blake asked the Entities about the ship's name.

"Well, it simply means an important figure within mythology that isn't acquainted with your world." Mobius stated, seemingly that's it.

"Shhhh!" Khaos hushed, "You're going to say that without pissing off the readers!?" He exclaimed Mobius' word choice.

"Readers?" Coco called out.

"Silence, Coco." Khaos retorted. With that, she and the others ignored him since the screen now shows Morpheus will explain what the Matrix is, by showing him through this... Jaune winced at the outlet being plugged in.

The noises occur, as the cable is inserted through the jack. Neo's expression tightens in a grimace. His eyes opened, he looked around, seeing at a blank-white space, seeing himself in normal clothes.

"This is the Construct." Neo turns to see Morpheus himself, "It is our loading program. We can load anything from clothes, to weapons, to training simulations. Anything we need." Walking past him, he sees two leather chairs and a large tv. "Sit down."

Neo sat at the chair as Morpheus sat. "Right now, we're inside a computer program?" He asked.

Morpheus smiles, "Is it so hard to believe? Your clothes are different, the plugs in your arms and head are gone. Look at your hair, you were bald a moment ago." He mentions all the events. Neo touches his head by that response, "It's what we call residual self image. The mental projection of your electronic self. Wild, isn't it?" He teased

"This... This isn't real?" Neo questioned.

"What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what you feel, taste, smell, or see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain." Morpheus restated. Then he picks up a tv remote and turns it on with a click.

On the television, it plays the footage of the city itself.

"This is the world you know. The world as it was at the end of the Twentieth Century. It exists now only as part of a neural interactive simulation that we call the Matrix." Morpheus explained as he changes the channel to show a different city as well. "You have been living inside a dreamworld, Neo. As in Baudrillard's vision, your whole life has been spent inside the map, not the territory. This is the world as it exists today." From the distance, there is the ruin of a very city, now turned wasteland. "The desert of the real. Beneath us, the water is gone." Morpheus stated.

There the very land is wasted and scorched as Neo clings to his chair, trying to get his bearings upon the deserted and broken world.

They see the construct itself, now with the information given to them, "The Matrix... Is it all a simulation?" James realized what Morpheus or alternate Qrow is showing.

"Baudrillard's vision..." Pyrrha repeated, glancing at Mobius and Khaos for a better explanation.

"The name of a sociologist and philosopher of dystopic." Mobius explained.

Witnessing on the tv screen, the city now turned wasteland. With everyone's thoughts occurring, one thing for certain... Who did all of this?

"We have only bits and pieces of information." Morpheus replied, taking his later response with a grain of salt. "What we know for certain is that, at some point in the early Twenty-first Century, all of mankind was united in celebration. Through the blinding inebriation of hubris, we marveled at our magnificence as we gave birth to A.I."

Neo perked up. "A.I.? You mean artificial intelligence?"

"Yes. A singular consciousness that spawned an entire race of machines. I must say I find it almost funny to imagine the world slapping itself on the back, toasting the new age. I say it's almost funny." Morpheus remarked, looking up as his shades reflected the dark clouds overhead. "We don't know who struck first. Us or them. But we do know it was us that scorched the sky. At the time, they were dependent on solar power. It was believed they would be unable to survive without an energy source as abundant as the sun." A flash of lightning occurred as he goes on, "Throughout human history, we have been dependent on machines to survive. Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony." He stated.

The screen shows the footage of what reveals to be... A fetus, with the same grafts as Neo's...

"The Machines discovered a new form of fusion. All they needed was a small electrical charge to initiate the reaction." Morpheus explains the scene. "The human body generates more electricity than a 120-volt battery and over 25,000 BTUs of body heat."

As the husk hanging from a stalk is plucked by a machine. "There are fields, endless fields where human beings are no longer born; we are grown." It shows the large field of fetus being farmed by harvesters.

The next scene shows the fetus inside the capsule pod, now being filled by gelation liquid. "For the longest time, I wouldn't believe it. But then I saw the fields with my own eyes, watched them liquefy the dead so they could be fed intravenously to the living and standing there, facing the efficiency, the pure, horrifying precision, I came to realize the obviousness of the truth." Morpheus pondered the experience as the screen now shuts off by him.

"What is the Matrix? Control." He started as he stood up. "The Matrix is a computer-generated dreamworld built to keep us under control in order to change a human being into this." He holds out a coppertop battery.

Neo paled, "No! I don't believe it! It's not possible!" He stood up, swaying in panic.

Morpheus remains neutral, "I didn't say that it would be easy, Neo. I just said that it would be the truth." He said, whilst his voice does gain sympathy.

"Stop!" Neo shouted as he wandered around the blank room. "Let me out! I want out!" He demanded.

Outside the reality, his eyes snap open. He thrashes off the chair, trying to take off the cable from the back of his head. "Get this thing out of me!"

"Easy, Neo. Easy." Trinity tries to settle him down, while trying to remove the cable while Dozer holds him. Once it's out, Neo jumps out, falling due to his trip from being free from the harness.

"Don't touch me! Get away from me!" Neo exclaimed, feeling more dizzy than ever. "I don't believe it! I don't believe it!" He shouted as he went on his hands and knees...

"He's going to pop." Cypher muttered. And just that, Neo vomited, before blackens out.

"A.I..." James recalled this word, with that, he glanced at Penny. But to be fair, she is the only machine to have a soul. And the A.I from Atlas Military are only basics due to mech soldiers. But hearing an A.I has caused this catastrophe...

"The machines did this?" Qrow asked which got a nod from Mobius.

"Yes, you hear yourself correct. This world you've witnessed is a world where machines are advanced enough to become a new civilization." Mobius explained. Khaos meanwhile wonders if his creator would focus on Megaman...

"...What actually happened between the machines and people?" Penny asked, with a solemn tone. "He said, they don't have all the history and information about what happened. But you two do know, right?" She hoped to get an answer.

Everyone looks to Mobius as the scene talks it over, the entity reveals the history. "As you said, humans and faunus kind made machines and unfortunately the machines themselves get a much worse fate than the likes of the current faunus treatment era."

Blake hears this, "You mean..." She asked.

"Yes." Mobius confirmed, "It all started with one robot. One who sabotaged the order of man and machine. A single disobey sets up a catalyst for a world war disaster." He stated.

"So, did we strike first?" Jaune worryingly asked.

"It depends, if the machines do as they are told, this incident wouldn't happen, it was the robot's action that caused it to happen. Or you can blame upon the act of the creator, establishing a rule so harsh for these sentient beings." Mobius noted.

"And it's not like creating dinosaurs, no..." Khaos whistled, "We're talking about an act of creation, of intelligent life..." He announced. "Let's watch this, perhaps you'll learn the dark history through your pair of eyes..." He pointed at the screen.

They listened, they learned how mankind and faunus scorched the sky, dreading to hear that the source of power these machines need is solar power... As if they are willing to let them die of famine...

And when Morpheus speaks the irony of the living beings requires the machines to live... That is when the reveal of the remaining humans. Hearing the machines needed fusion as their power, despite not knowing it, this mere explanation shows it all...

"They are being used as... Fuel." Glynda dreaded the reveal of the current future. Many are shocked to the core, seeing the fetus embedded with the same outlets from Neo's. All of them, hundreds if not millions are being treated like dark decay trees holding fruits of living flesh.

Jaune feels much sick in his stomach, not to help that Morpheus affirmed they are fed by the remains of the living dead.

Cinder witnessing this, such a future apocalypse, makes the dark lands of the Grimm feel less threatening. Hearing these machines gives the Matrix, to which it is answered by all; Control. This terrifies her, of what mere machines can do...

This terrifies the rest as well...

"I never thought this world would be like this..." Qrow muttered.

"This reality is just the type of the iceberg of dark worlds." Khaos whispered to them all, he can recall other realities filled with sheer darkness. Hearing that, leads to silence as they watch the scene end with Morpheus holding a battery.

Seeing Neo/Taiyang panic, they cannot blame him. Even with the benefit of being aware of the Multiverse, witnessing a dark reality where nothing left of machines taking control of the flesh.

Penny has mixed feelings by this, hearing the fact a robot, similar to hers. Upon now seeing the scene continue, Neo is feeling hazy, until he finally pukes, blackening out.

Somehow this is just the beginning.
