Paul is tall. Dawn is short. Chaos ensures...

Author's Note: Paul and Dawn having a significant height gap and size difference is such a fun trope to include in the stories! Also, I want to take a break from the main story and instead have little extras like this for when I am going through writer's block!

While Ash and Misty could not care less about Paul and his many interesting qualities, they have to acknowledge just how much Paul stands out with his tall stature. The two thirteen-year-olds could not help but be amazed by just how tall he really was.

While Paul's mother, Heremiyonina, was on the shorter side, being 5'2" or 157.5 centimeters tall, Paul's father, Brandon, on the other hand, was a staggering 198 centimeters tall or 6'6." Paul's older brother, Reggie, was slightly taller, with a height of 6'7" or 201 centimeters. However, Paul trumped them all by being 6'9" or 206 centimeters tall.

"Why are you so small?" Paul asked Dawn, placing his arm on Dawn's head as if she was an armrest.

Dawn retorted, "And why are you so big, huh?" She huffed and puffed, but it was no use, it was not like she could blow Paul away to the breeze like a wolf does to houses made out of straw and sticks.

"Everyone in my family is this way," he answered. He paused for a minute before adding, "Well, everyone from my father's side of the family is. We northerners are a lot taller than you southerners, especially if you're from the west."

She directed a glare towards him, but he was right. Southerners of Sinnoh were significantly shorter than their northern counterparts, especially if they were from the far west like Dawn was. Twinleaf Town was in the deep southwestern part of the country, while Veilstone was all the way in the northeast. While Dawn's mother, Johanna, was of a normal average size, Dawn's father, Beckett, was slightly shorter than his wife. It did not help either that Beckett's side of the family were all under 5'6" or 168 centimeters. As a consequence of Dawn's genetic makeup given to her by her parents, Dawn grew up always being smaller than her peers. And, currently at age thirty-five, she was mere 4'9" or 145 centimeters.

"It's not like you can add some extra height to me," she sighed in exasperation, "I've stopped growing since I was twelve."

Ash whistled, "Wow, that's rough, Buddy." Misty nudged his shoulders. "Oh, what I mean to say is that there's nothing wrong with your size, Madam Dawn. At least you're all petite and pretty like a princess, while the old man over there is an ugly troll who snatches and locks up princesses in his tower."

Paul smirked, "The boy is right. You being this size makes you perfect for ugly trolls like me to come and take you to my tower."

Dawn blushed at the insinuation, arguing back by saying, "You stupid pigheaded alien from Planet Pathetic! I could totally beat you up into a pulp! What's the expression…The bigger they are, the harder they fall!"

He rolled his eyes at her supposed threat, "I would love to see you try. Once I'm beaten into a pulp, Ash is all yours to have, but I do not think that Candice, the social worker, would appreciate jailbirds for guardians. She'd probably take Ash and Misty away from us both when you do end up in a super-maximum security prison."

"Don't you mean to say if," Misty questioned.

Paul shook his head, "No, I said when. She's going to be locked up one way or another. I'm surprised the Madam was even allowed to be a secondary guardian when she's shorter than a ten-year-old child, boy or girl. The agency probably mistook her for a child who needed more parents."

"Why you," Dawn cried out, "that's it! I've had it with you!" Before she could jump at Paul, Misty blocked her from doing so.

"Don't do it, Madam Dawn," Ash pleaded, "We're going to have an earthquake if he falls down to the ground."

Fortunately, that was enough to stop Dawn, and Paul was left unscathed for now.

The End.

Author's Note: I know that in Kaichou wa Maid-Sama, Misaki calls Takumi a mysterious perverted alien from Planet Pheromes, so I changed things up a bit and made Paul a stupid pigheaded alien from Planet Pathetic instead! The troll and pretty princess joke is a reference to Shrek!
