Chapter 1: Skydiving and Alone Time

*Author's Note: Hi everyone so I just wanted to give you all a few updates. First, I have a new poll on my profile. Please vote on it since I want to know what stories my readers want to read next.

Second, I recently did some research and am debating on wether or not to delete my "Marshall and the Bat" story. I say this given vampire history is ... unpleasent. But I want to know from my readers what they think. Should I delete "Marshall and the Bat" permanently or no? I really would appreciate any feedback.

Lastly, I want to apologize that my stories have been so slow. Been busy and having some health problems. Things are improving though. Hopefully*

It was a nice day in Adventure Bay while the pups all played tag. Skye was it, so she playfully chased after the other pups. As they played, Ryder watched with a smile on his face. Looking up, Ryder saw that is was quite a pleasent day outside. Perhaps he and the pups could do something fun.

"Yip yip! Tag!" Skye said flipping in the air before tagging Marshall. The pups giggled as Skye got off of her dally friend. Ryder laughed too, until he thought of an idea.

"That's it! Hey pups, want to do a fun activity?" Ryder asked as he aporoached the group of pups.

"Sure Ryder! What did you have in mind?" Chase asked curiously.

"Well, I was thinking since it's so nice outside, I was thinking we could go skydiving again. What do you think?" Ryder suggested happily. All pups howled with excitement, but Marshall stopped as he remembered something.

"Wait, but skydiving means falling ... and hieghts. I - I don't feel comfortable falling" Marshall commented nervously. The other pups stopped howling as they looked at the dally.

"But Marshall, you'll miss all the fun!" Rubble commented sadly.

"We know you're nervous, but that's why you'll have a parachute. It will slow down your fall so you'll be safe," Chase commented.

"Besides, you've skydived before. Remember how you skydived with Everest? Yes it was scary for you, but you had fun once you realized how relaxing it was. You were so happy too once you landed," Skye commented.

"Yeah, until Everest and I got trapped and tangled up under the parachutes! I even thought she was a ghost when my parachute was on top of us!" Marshall retorted.

"True, but you realized it was her eventually. Plus you two had fun pretending to be a ghosts under the parachutes. So it WAS fun in some ways," Rocky pointed out.

"Yes, it was. But I'm still getting use to falling from high places ... like a hot air balloon," Marshall replied.

"It's okay Marshall. You can stay here at The Lookout while we go parachuting. You can parachute some other time, and don't have to come if you don't want to," Ryder reassured his pup, petting the dally's head.

"Thank you Ryder!" Marshall said giving Ryder a hug as his tail wagged. Ryder returned the hug. Once they separated, Ryder and the pups went into The Lookout to get their parachute gear. Marshall helped out however he could.

"Okay, parachute packs, water, helmets, safety pads, straps, and drag chutes. Yes, we got everything pups. Let's go!" Ryder said after double checking everything they had. Chase, Zuma, Rocky, Rubble, and Skye all went to grab their items and ran outside to pack the items into their vehicles. Before going out, Ryder turned to Marshall and kneeled down.

"Marshall, I'm going to leave your parachute supplies here at The Lookout. I'm going to leave them over by the cushions in the hangout area. Just in case you change your mind. However, while we're gone, I trust you'll be careful and not do anything crazy. If you leave The Lookout, there is a lock button on the outside, that will lock the entire Lookout, and a paw print scanner to unlock. Please be safe and have a good time. I love you Marshall," Ryder told the dally pup.

"I understand. I promise to be careful Ryder, and I love you too," Marshall replied sincerely before the two buddies hugged. They hugged for a minute before separating, then Ryder pet Marshall on the head.

"You're a good pup, Marshall. See you later," Ryder said before grabbing his parachute supplies, standing up, and going out to his vehicle. Marshall went outside too, seeing everyone pack up and get into their vehicles.

"Bye Marshall!" everyone said before driving off, away from The Lookout.

"Bye everyone!" Marshall replied as he waved goodbye. Upon seeing his friends leave, Marshall waited before going back inside The Lookout.

"Okay, what can I play? Hmmm. Oh, I can play ball!" Marshall said as thought about what fun he could have while alone. Marshall went to the toy chest that was inside The Lookout, found a red, soft ball, and started to roll it on the floor while chasing it.

"Come on, come back here!" Marshall said as he chased after the red ball, the object rolling where ever Marshall's paw smacked it. The ball rolling away from the pup as he played with it.

Eventually, Marshall got bored of playing with the red ball and put it away. Upon seeing that he was alone in The Lookout, Marshall thought it would be a good idea to give The Lookout a good cleaning. Marshall went to get a bucket of soap, as well as his pup pack.

"With Ryder and the pups skydiving, it would be nice to clean the inside The Lookout. This place almost never gets cleaned. Time to make The Lookout spotless! Ruff! Water cannons!" Marshall said before his pup pack activated.

Meanwhile, Ryder and the pups were all wearing their skydiving gear as they were riding in the hot air balloon. Luckily, they had a professional skydiver and balloon expert in case something went wrong. Soon, they were high enough to skydive.

"Okay pups, who wants to skydive first?" Ryder asked kindly as he looked at his pups.

"Me! Can I go first Ryder?" Rubbke asked with excitement. Ryder giggled before answering.

"Of course Rubble, go for it!" Ryder encouraged as he let the pup climb to the edge of the basket.

"Thanks Ryder. WAHOOOOOOO!" Rubble replied before he jumped off the hot air balloon basket and started to fall.

Rubble spread his legs out as he fell faster and faster towards the ground; the cool feeling of air rushing past him as he got lower. It felt like he was above a giant fan that was blowing air upwards! It was great!

It took a while for Rubble to fall low enough to release his parachute, but even so, he tried his best to enjoy the fun moment he was having.

Once Rubble got low enough to release the parachute, he pulled the cord on his backpack and waited. Hopefully his parachute pack worked.

FWOOSH! Rubble's yellow parachute popped out of the backpack before catching air, gently lowering the pup closer and closer to the ground.

The view was calm, and peaceful as Rubble gently floated down to the ground, and within minutes, his paws touched the landing pad.

"Yes! Aroooo! I did it!" Rubble cheered, happy with his skydiving. Ryder and the other pups cheered from above, still in the hot air balloon. However, the celebration was interrupted by Rubble's yellow nylon paracbute floating down and landing on top of the pup.

"Aroooo! Yeah! Huh? Ah! Ahhh! Hey! Help! Who turned out the lights?" Rubble exclaimed as he started to fumble and flail about under his big, yellow parachute. Poor Rubble looked like a yellow ghost as he struggled to get out of his parachute, with Ryder and the others giggling with amusement from the balloon. Rubble was a silly pup, though he just wanted to get out of the yellow parachute.

"Okay pups, who's next?" Ryder asked the rest of the pups.
