Soldier Boy and Angel Girls

Levi P.O.V

It started with the soothing sound of railtracks, and it all ends with it.

The Termina festival has finished and I'm back here in the train which was back up working by the time I came back.

Moments ago I was relieved to at least be alive. Even with the fact that there's only a bandaged stump where my left arm should be, same with my right eye.

The light from the sun briefly flashes on my eyes and I see a slight reflection of my face… ah, right, almost forgot about that, the sigil of the God of Fear and Hunger carved on both sides of my face,. A capital R with an inverted R next to it making an M on top of an M, it's still red from the dried blood. I swear, the edge of the carving is way too close to my eyelids.

… Now, how am I gonna explain all of this once I get back to civilization? Will I even get a job like this? How am I gonna live?! Yeah, sure, the worst has passed but what now?!

My stomach starts grumbling and I slump to hold it with my right and only arm left. Last I ate was yesterday, and of course a piece of moldy bread wouldn't last long for my stomach.

The train makes a slight turn and I look at the sky and the sun as I'm still holding my grumbling stomach.

What do I do now?

Was what I was going to think about until in the seat infront of me appeared a blue flickering film like distortion.

Forcing my hand away from my rumbling stomach I pull out the Lugr from my right pocket. Lieutenant Pav's Lugr, and I point at the blue distortion… or whatever was appearing from it.

Slowly a shape appears from the distortions, the shape of a person, a woman by the looks of it,. Then comes out the hair, bright blue like the sky and with a pink underside. After that the body, an almost pristine white uniform with gold designs, it would have been perfect if not for the left side being heavily stained red,. And then finally came the face yet I couldn't see the eyes being obscured by the sunlight, and above the head is a bright sky blue halo.

"This train… it's an old one." The Blue Haired Girl in white said in a tired voice.

Is she like that woman from under the Church!? The Heartless Angel!? Did she come for revenge!?

Reflexively I try to put some distance between myself and the Angel Girl by pushing myself away with my legs while I keep my pistol pointed at her,. But I can only push my back against the cushy seat.

She turns her head up to look at me, and then she simply smiles.

"Oh my, did I scare you? Don't worry, I won't bite." She said in a sincere tone with both of her hands on top her legs. She sits like a high class person, neat and proper despite the obvious bleeding from her left side.

I calm myself, bringing my ass back down on the seat and lowering my lugr. I only now notice that I was breathing heavily. I can still feel my heart pumping with adrenaline, I should probably say something to the girl.

"S-sorry, P-prehevil… Where I just was… was not a welcoming place," I say as I gesture towards… myself. My missing left arm, my E.U army coveralls with blood stains here and there, the sigil of the God of Fear and Hunger on my face. Just about everything. "B-but hey. Look on the b-bright side, at least you're not the only one hurt." I try to joke as I stuttered a bit. I heard adults back in the trenches trying to lighten the mood and preserve morale by making light of the entire situation but I'm pretty sure I sounded miserable.

She looks at me up and down, smile disappearing from her face. "That worse huh? Now I feel bad for complaining about these scratches I got." She looks even more dejected now. Dammit! She opens Her mouth once again. "I might be sad on the inside but you look like the definition of suffering, no offense by the way." She's back to smiling, but with a self deprecating one. I would know.

I need to keep talking, like how Miss Abella, Miss Karin, and Mister Marcoh did for me. Soothing, comforting, giving me encouragement and relief.

"It d-doesn't matter how much more someone else is s-suffering, it's not a bragging competition. You have every right to curse everything for your pain." I say as I remember the squad of kids younger than me that I was assigned command of before the ceasefire. I had to be the one leading them, taking care of them. I didn't know what to do back then so I just did what I could.

"A-and besides," I quickly add. "A pretty girl like you should be smiling more, you're prettier that way."… I can't believe I just said that, but It could be good,. Girls like it when told they're pretty… I think.

She gasps a little, and then smiles softly with a slight reddening of her cheeks. "Thanks for that, and was the last part really necessary?", No, it wasn't but you're smiling again and that's what matters.

"It's all my fault," She starts talking again. Her fault? Does she mean the festival?

"The decisions I made, the choices I took, I thought everything would go right, but in the end everyone else payed the price for the actions I took." She doesn't sound like she's talking about Termina. Is she talking about the place she came from?

"I spoke of responsibility a lot. Of adulthood, integrity, obligation, and the choices we make beyond those ideals. Only now do I understand their implications." She's still smiling, albeit a pained smile. I remember giving my squad that exact same smile trying to reassure them that everything would be alright that we would live through the war. I understand her pain.

"I was… expecting to meet an adult. Dependable, responsible, always knowing what is best, a Sensei. I wanted to ask for Their help." I see tears flowing down her face. The weight of your responsibility is that heavy huh? Yeah I know, knew dependable adults.

"Dependable adults? Yeah, they were here." I say. Smiling a little as I thought about them, that seems to have gotten her full attention. Well, I won't keep you waiting.

"There was Miss Abella, a mechanic, she was strong and had this caressing aura. I always felt safe behind her. She knew I was deadly, but she never once asked me to fight on her behalf. And on top of all that, she was part of a resistance group fighting against tyrants that made everyone miserable." She leans over a little listening intently as I reminisce about the kind hearted mechanic lady who acted like a mother to me.

"Then there was Miss Karin. A journalist who risked life and limb covering the war as it happened. She even criticized the Chancellor of her nation! A tyrant who obliterated all who stood in his way." She was kind of cute still denying the supernatural even with it being right up at her face.

"A-amazing! How brave of her." The Angel Girl looks ecstatic, it's like she's a child hearing stories about knights, heroes, and the monster hunter Ragnvaldr.

"Mister Marcoh. A big bulky boxer, fought a mafia boss to save his sister. He fought through an army of them. The newspapers said." At first I thought Mister Marcoh was a thug that was not to be trusted, but all that time he was just shy.

"He f-fought alone?! So cool!" She's really enjoying hearing me talk about them, but unfortunately.

"They were the only ones who showed kindness. Who went out of their way to help." They would have offered to help you, but Miss Abella, with Miss Olivia and O'saa went down the White Bunker to go after Kaiser and the "Logic" project in the NLU papers. But Mister Marcoh, and Miss Karin… at the tower… they…

"You said was? They're not here anymore?" She asked in a strained voice.

"Yeah," I don't want to give her false hope. "They're not alive anymore. Out of the 14 people who arrived in Prehevil in this train, I was the only one lucky enough to stay alive." She doesn't need to know about the festival. I don't need to say anything about what happened. My appearance speaks for itself.

"Forgive me, but… I wish to ask something of you." She speaks after analyzing my appearance, getting an idea of what happened in Prehevil.

"Boy." Oh, right we haven't introduced ourselves.

"I'm Levi, just Levi. I'm an orphan." Even with the sunlight covering her eyes I can still feel her pity.

"Levi-kun, I know you need rest after whatever you just went through, but I need your help, please!" She… she sounds like she's begging. I would like to help, but with what?

"Please! Be the Sensei of Kivotos. Be the leader it needs. Lead us from this distorted fate!" Tears are flowing down her cheeks as she begged. She wants me to help? To do something good? I can't imagine myself doing that after 5 years in the trenches shooting other people. After every heinous action I took during the Termina Festival like sawing off people's heads and selling it to that woman for those shiny stones. But… I still want to. I want to do something good with my life.

I put Lieutenant Pav's Lugr, now my Lugr back in my pocket. With my now free hand, I take hers, and I hold it tightly, eliciting a gasp and a little blush from her tear stained face.

"You don't need to beg, I should be the one thanking you," She squeeze's my hand back. "I'll do it. I'll be Your "Sensei", whatever that word means. I've always wanted to do something good with my life and now its possible thanks to you!" I give her a smile, a happy smile. This is the first time someone's asked me for something like this.

"Thank you!" She said in a soft voice with a smile.

I see the same blue distortion she appeared with on my peripheral vision starting to engulf me. I give her a panicked look.

"Don't worry. I'm just sending you there." She reassures me. That's convenient, It's like Alll-Mers blood portal but it doesn't need a ritual circle.

"I'm sorry, but you will not remember any of our discussion." She said while still smiling as the blue distortions fully took me and just like at the start of it all, I feel Myself drift to unconsciousness.

"You haven't given me your name yet!?" And I don't think I'll get it as I finally fell asleep.

/

I wake up in a different train. In this one the seats are on sideways with handles on the top. It's metal, squeaky clean.

I look around and see… animal people. Small and wearing clothing and even standing upright on two legs. Are they like that Sergal back in the church?

Among the crowd I also see girls in school uniforms. They also have haloes on top of their heads!

Slowly I stand up as the train skidded to a stop, and as I stood up I got everyone's attention… I see a slight reflection of myself in the trains window glass. Everyone else looks clean and neat, they look like they just took a bath and are well fed.. and I… seriously don't fit.

The train doors slid open to the trains side's by itself and I bolt out of the train immediately.

I run out of the train station and onto the streets while ignoring all the looks of shock and concern at my appearance and I look around.

The sky Is clear, blue, and bright. The buildings, the streets, everything looks clean. Nothing like the abandoned towns or Prehevil before and after the Termina Festival.

As I was looking around I saw something in my breast pocket. I took it out and it's a paper envelope with a little droplet of blood, on it is written "To Rinny, Levi-Kun, find the GSC headquarters and deliver it to her".

You should have given me directions then. Alright, where do I go? Which direction is it? Do I ask the animal people or angel girls staring at me?

I walk towards the angel student closest to Me, She looks scared. She was about to turn and run the other way until my right and only arm grabbed ahold of Her shoulder eliciting a scared yelp out of her.

"Please, tell me, where is the GSC headquarters?!" I would have asked a little more politely but I was anxious. I didn't want to be the center of attention. Not to mention, I have no idea when the last syringe I took wears off or when the withdrawal comes.

"Um… Its that way!" She points to a direction as she is trembling from fear, or is it from the shock of seeing a person covered almost head to toe in blood with bloody bandages and a missing arm.

Either way, I smile and thank her as I run towards that direction.

This place looks so bright and colorful. The clear blue sky, and the lack of smoke from the industrial machinery that covered the sky back where I came from.

Everyone I see looks clean, bathed, well fed. They all looked at me with pity and concern as I passed them.

From the distance I hear gunshots and explosions echoing. The gunfires are rapid like the Bremen mounted machineguns with occasional single shots and explosions.

I stop as I see a building infront of me with the sign "General Student Council". Yeah that fits the letters.

I enter through the glass doors and see many of those angel girls in uniforms moving around paperwork. Lots of it, some are on computers, some are on the phone. They look busy, better find my own way then.

I just walk forward where I think the receptionist would be, and hey look, that was easier than I thought. I see a girl with a similar white uniform to the Blue Haired Girl. She had blond hair and a blue dot on her forehead, she has a thin golden halo, and she has wings!

She was being hounded by a girl with purple hair tied to a twintail with a mechanical looking black halo holding a submachinegun on each of her hands, she's wearing a white jacket over a business suit.

Behind her are, a long black haired girl with large black wings and a black uniform with red accents and… her legs, her hips and underwear are visible, she holds a rifle. She has a red halo. Next to her is a girl with blonde hair and… pointy ears? She's wearing a collared shirt with a short skirt and red stockings, she's holding a medical bag judging by the sign, on her right shoulder is a… Bremen arm band. On her hand is a pistol that also looks Bremen. She has eyeglasses and a red halo.

There's one with a grey uniform and a… Wing sticking out of head? She has a bright purple halo holding a submachinegun… that's looks too long to be a submachinegun. It's as long as a rifle or a machinegun.

The receptionist landed her eyes on me, freezing as she did. I was thinking about how to approach her, but oh well.

I approach her rushing a little. She's still shaking from seeing my appearance, but seeing me approach almost aggressively scared her and made her move back a little.

The other four noticed this and turned around to see me as I pass by them by and I see their expressions morph into morbid surprise.

I arrive at the receptionists table as I take the letter folder out of my breast pocket to hand it over to her, but to my surprise I finally feel the exhaustion from running around the city and I accidentally slam my hand down the table, further scaring the receptionist as she let out a yelp…. Roll with it I guess.

"The Blue Haired Girl sent me." I clarify as I raise my one and only hand holding the letter to her so she sees it, but she just gives me a confused look… are there other blue haired girls here?!

"The one with a uniform like yours!" I try to clarify. "but with gold on the shoulder part." She snaps into realization and walks towards me cautiously to take the letter.

She gasps reading who the letter is from and then she rushes to the telephone on the wall to make a call.

"Vice Pre- no. I mean Acting President Rin, you need to see this, no! it's not the academy representatives, it's the President! She sent a messenger!" She spoke with such urgency to the other one on the phone. Judging by the name, that was probably "Rinny". She then looks at me to say something.

"You must be Sensei. The one the President sent, she told us to expect an adult." She said, looking at me cautiously.

"Yeah. She, the blue haired girl said she wanted a dependable adult, but only I was left." I tried to explain but she doesn't seem to believe me. "They died before she came." That shook her a little but she seemed to believe that as she reported it back to "Rinny".

She listened intently on the telephone phone for a little while and then she turned to me.

"Uhmm… Sensei. The Acting President would like to meet you." She said to me nervously as she put down the phone and returned the letter to me.

"Alright. Lead the way,. My name is Levi by the way." I give her a smile and a little wave with my one and only hand.

I hear someone behind me protesting about how they've been waiting for hours but that's none of my concern at the moment. I need to finish delivering the letter and get some rest.

/

The Receptionist led me through the hallway and into an elevator. This will be my first time riding one, I always wondered how being on one felt like.

"B-by the way, Levi-Sensei. We will be working together soon so I should introduce myself as well. My name in Iwabitsu Ayumu, you may refer to me as Ayumu and it's a pleasure to meet you." She gave a very formal and polite greeting and then followed it up with a small bow.

"Nice to meet you too. Ayumu." I return her greeting just as the elevator door closed and I heard a small ring before I felt it start going up.

It feels… like gravity is pulling me down as the elevator lifts me up, that's physics I guess. I turn around and just realize that the elevator is transparent and I see from up here more of the city.

Despite the occasional gunfire, explosions, and smoke from faraway, everything still looks so bright and clean. The architecture of the buildings look so… futuristic, its what comes to mind when I see that they have mostly glass exteriors

Ding!

I hear that ring again along with the door behind me opening by sliding to the sides like that door back in the train, enough sightseeing for now then.

I turn around and see a girl with long black hair with traces of dark blue. She has pointy ears like that other girl from earlier, she wears eyeglasses and a white uniform with an outer coat. I see a really big pistol on a holster on her belt. I look up and see glimpses of earrings before setting my eyes on her halo, a thin dark blue line with three stars. She doesn't express shock at my appearance like the others did, but she is expressing concern.

"You must be Rinny." I simply state as I take the letter out of my pocket to hand over to her. "The Blue ha-"

"Pardon!" I was about to explain that the Blue Haired Girl sent me but I was interrupted by her outburst. She looks annoyed, what did I do?!

"T-the Blue Haired Girl wrote the the name R-Rinny here. She wrote that I deliver it to you." Is it because of the nickname? I wonder to myself as I tried to explain the situation to the girl that's glaring at me.

"I see. I apologize for my outburst, it is unbecoming of me." She let out a sigh. I approach her to hand over the letter and I see the bags under her eyes and a look of fatigue. It's the same as some of the soldiers who couldn't sleep at all or some officers or squad leaders who didn't know what to do.

"That's fine. Being a good leader must be tiring." She seemed to beam a little at the praise but she maintained Her composure. Is she trying to copy how she thinks good leaders should act?

"Thank you Sensei, it is good to know that my efforts are being appreciated." She's maintaining her composure but I can see that she's delighted with the praise. "Of course, I must introduce myself. I am Nanagami Rin, Acting President of the Kivotos General Student Council." She introduced herself briefly in a simple and formal way.

"And I am Levi, just Levi. I was an orphan," I tried to imitate the formality of her tone as best as I could. "You should probably read this first." I hand over the letter to her before she could even look at me with pity. I appreciate it but that's not needed at the moment.

I walk to a concrete wall to lean and rest. I didn't want to be rude and sit on that cushy looking couch without asking and I didn't want to interrupt her reading the letter.

I turn to the windows to look at the city once more. Most of the buildings have glass exteriors with some concrete pillars in the middle like the one I'm leaning over, in the distance I see a dark blue and white car. It looks sleek and smooth and on its side is written "Valkyrie Police Academy" wait, academy as in school? I mean, it would probably be good for future police to have real experience but those police girls on school uniforms with blue vests and hats look younger than me!

"Ah, President." I hear Rin behind me say in a low trembling voice. Like she's trying to contain her emotions. I turn around to see her stabilizing her breath.

"Levi-Sensei, this may be a little late, but welcome to the academy city Kivotos!" She moved closer to the windows as she gestured to the city and proudly welcomed me. Wait, academy city?

"Academy city? You mean." That Blue Haired Girl, President as Rin and Ayumu called her, the decorations on her uniform were similar to those of the authority figures back in the E.U army, generals, commanders, officers. "the entire city is run by kids?" I know living under the adults I grew up with was horrible, but even I know that leaving kids by themselves would be a bad idea!

"You make it sound like we're incapable of taking care of ourselves. But believe me, we know exactly what we're doing." She sounded a little offended as she proudly proclaims independence from adults, and from what I can see. The city, despite the distant sounds of chaos still looks better than what the Eastern Union, Bohemia, or the Bremen Empire could show of their cities.

"That's enough of that. We need to speak of more important matters." She speaks an a matter of factly tone as she moved to a table to rest Her hands. "You, Levi-Sensei, are a teacher that was summoned… supposedly." Wait, teacher?! And summoned? Yeah, I can see why she doubts that word.

But teacher?! What the hell did that President Girl expect me to teach?! How to shoot people better?! How to dismember and saw off limbs and heads?!

"I can see that you're unfamiliar with just about everything you've seen so far, the difference between your home an-"

"I'll do anything just don't send me back there!" I huffed and puffed as I blurted that out, damn. This place was already better than back there and I really don't want to go back in that Gods damned place, I don't even want to think about it. She seems alerted by my sudden shouting but she gave an understanding nod after looking me up and down.

"Of course, wherever you were from, and judging by your current condition, I wouldn't even think about sending my most detested enemy there." She assures me in a soft comforting voice. That's good to know but…

"I'm s-supposed to be a t-teacher?!" I ask again to make sure. I look through my memories of lessons back in the orphanage and the teachers I had, maybe there are lessons there I can still use… nope. They never taught us orphan boys anything important. They didn't teach us anything at all, we just got beaten.

"Correct, that is the term the President used." She confirms. But before my anxiety could increase she says something. "You don't actually have to teach in a classroom," What? But the-

"Most schools do that on their own. You simply have to lead us, and occasionally give some counseling to whichever student asks of it." That's… weird but I'll take it.

Seeing the look of acceptance on my face, she then opens her mouth to speak again but-

Ding!

The elevator? I didn't even hear it go back down. I look back and see the four girls that was hounding Ayumu earlier. The one on the front with purple twintailed hair was the first to come out of the elevator stomping all the way to Rin, ignoring me completely.

"We've been waiting down there for hours! Now where is the GSC President?! We need to see her now!" The Purple Haired Girl shouted with visible frustration from the wait she had to endure.

"We've been waiting for you, Chief Officer," The girl with long black hair, black feathery wings, and black uniform with red accents. She's big… really big.

"President Hina has terms she wishes to discuss." The blonde Bremen Medic. She has a bow tied on top of her head, and her hair is tied like twintails. Now that I see her upfront, she's not as big as the girl in the black uniform but she's still big on her own right, specifically in the chest area.

"Right… Trinity, weren't there two of you?" Rin mumbled with some hints of confusion to the girl with big wings.

"How did yo- Yes, Miss Suzumi went back to Trinity as reinforcement. Both the Justice Task Force and Vigilante Crew were being overwhelmed by the delinquents and helmet gangsters numbers." Much like Rin. The Winged Girl states in a polite formal tone, and that Suzumi person she talked about, to be a one-person reinforcement to two entire groups, she must be strong.

"This is all… at a rather inconvenient time." Rin said. Smiling with her eyes closed, it looked sincere but that expression reminds me of- "Greetings, to you irksome- I mean distinguished guests from major academies and those with too much time on their hands." Yup, that expression which holds malice despite the smile.

"You are here to blame the GSC for all the troubles in the city are you not?" It's just like Lieutenant Pav's smile. Full of hidden malice and repressed anger.

The Purple Haired Girl then speaks up, ignoring Rin's obvious but hidden anger. "If you're well aware then do something! You represent the GSC do you not? Thousands of academies are in panic, and Millenniums wind generators already shut down a few days ago!" Thousands?! She has to be exaggerating, right?!

The Blonde Medic then states her concerns. "There has been rumors that a student has escaped from the Federal Corrections Bureau, quite a dangerous one at that." The way she speaks of this escapee makes it sound like It's more than just a student, and corrections bureau? Even the prison is an academy here?

My question would go unasked and unanswered as the Black Winged Girl had her turn. "There has been a 2000 percent increase in illegal distributions of tanks, helicopters, and other unknown weapons," 2000 percent? That's got to be over reported. Tanks? The Bremen Panzers were a nightmare to face, helicopters? Those VTOL aircraft used to transport supplies? This isn't real right? "And on top of that, there has been a sharp increase in students being attacked on their way to and from school! At this point daily peaceful life in Kivotos will be a thing of the past!" She spoke in a dire, almost desperate yet still maintaining a polite tone.

I'm sure those things they just reported was bad, but not for me really. As soon as I got back to Prehevil, the entire city had and was already trying to kill eachother or have ready done so. Tanks and weapons? I spent 5 years on the frontline. A criminal escaping prison? That's least of anyone's concerns back there.

What I'm wondering the most at this moment is what are you girls eating. The Purple Haired Girls bare thighs are so thick and plump, same with the other two. But I'm looking at their chest region more, both of you, and even Rin has bigger chests than Miss Abella and Miss Karin, just what are you girls eating?

… They're looking- no, staring at me. Did they just now realize I was here this whole time?... They're blushing, but they look a little upset. Why?

"T-thick?! Plump?! Are You calling me fat?!" The Purple Haired Girl shouted in indignation as she glared at me… did I say those outloud? I must be losing it if I can't separate my thought from my speech.

"Levi-Sensei…." Rin lowly said to me. I can see the hidden irritation in her smile. The Bremen Girl and the Winged Girl is also looking at me in half pity and concern and half scorn, like Im a deviant!

"I d-didn't mean t-to say it like t-that!" I quickly try to make myself clear. Those scorn filled eyes are getting to me.

"I'm just… jealous.." that seemed to get their attention. Their eyebrows raised in confusion. "Of h-how well fed y-you girls look." I feel pathetic. Being jealous of girls younger than me because they're well fed, that's got to be a new low.

Like the other people I've met this day. They look at me up and down, and once again I'm looked at with pity and concern, as if I didn't take part in that so called festival.

The Purple Haired Girl turns her head to Rin once again. "M-moving on, you're already aware of the city's current condition. What exactly is the GSC President doing in such a time?!" She's still looking for the President. Wouldn't Rin be enough, or did everything simply depend on her without any kind of protocol should she disappear?

"She's not here, and she's not going to be here anytime soon." She turns her head back to me. I would know, she sent me here, and her wounds wouldn't be a quick recovery.

And before she could ask me anything Rin followed up for me.

"He's right, the President is not here and the General Student Council has no authority over the Sanctum Towers." She explains. Also, Sanctum Tower? I just give Rin a confused look.

"We've been looking for ways to bypass it's security verification, but sadly to no avail… until now that is." And with that. She then turns and gestures to me. Why are you looking at me like that? I'm not Miss Abella, I don't know how to short circuit electronics.

"Everyone, meet Levi-Sensei, the one sent by the President." The three representatives are once again looking at me. In uncertainty and in pity, I understand. I wouldn't trust a one armed, one eyed man to be capable of anything worthwhile. "She was originally looking for an adult, but sadly, the place Sshe ended up in, Prehevil, was already in ruins. He was the only one left alive there." Their focused stare at me is making me uncomfortable. Miss Abella would have known what to do or say here, same with Miss Karin and Mister Marcoh.

"He is the answer to our problems." She seems relieved to say that, but at the same time I can see doubt.

"Me? The Blue Haired Girl didn't say anything about short circuiting the system to that tower you talked about." I have to be honest, I don't want to give them false hope.

"You won't have to because you are the key to it." … Is it magical? It just needs me? How convenient.

"This may be insensitive of me to say, but he's missing an arm! And who even is he?! Did the President just take the very first person she found?!" The Purple Haired Girl said in outrage. And some hints of concern… I appreciate that, but believe me, I can still keep on going.

"Whoever he is, he's not from here."

"Obviously, do you see anyone else who looks like a walking corpse."

Oops, I blurted that one out. I give the Winged Girl a look of apology, no offense but the way she said that was like saying water is wet, obliviously obvious.

"Umm, Levi-Sensei," the Bremen Medic finally speaks up. Her eyes are filled with concern. "Can I change your bandages? Those look dirty, it'll get infected." She's already reaching into her bag. I'm not in any immediate danger, better save it for later.

"It'll be fine, it's already been like this since yeste-"

"Even more reason to change it then!" She's just looking at me with an angry pout, kind of cute, but it looks like she's not taking no for an answer.

"Sure." Without a word, she's already on me, swiftly, but carefully removing the old dirty bandages that covered my amputated left arm and slashed right eye. It feels kind of relieving that the pressure from the tight bandages are gone.

"Agh! The bone is still exposed!" She let out a small scared yelp at the sight of the exposed bone of my left elbow. I could have sworn I cut higher. "Miraculously, your right eye can still heal." She whispered in a comforting tone as she caressed my face… She's so sweet.

Behind the Bremen Girl, I see the Winged Girl and the Purple Haired Girl watching in morbid curiosity… well, its not everyday they see someone with these kind of injuries.

"M-millenium can probably make you a prosthetic limb." She stammered a little, but forced herself to speak clearly. Really?! Guess you weren't so bad after all. "but If you d-don't mind us asking, h-how.." She looks uncomfortable looking and talking about my missing arm, but you asked.

"I had to saw it off." And so I told her. As soon as I let out the last syllable did I only realize how utterly insane I sounded saying that so casually.

"But why?!" The Bremen Girl asked in outrage. "Why would you…"

She's looking at me in concerned, teary eyes, almost like it's about to start flowing down.

The Winged Girl covered her mouth with her hands. Stopping herself from puking, the Purple Haired Girl simply froze, looking at the exposed bone of my amputated arm, and Rin simply looked away, unsure of what to do.

I need to change the subject, why I sawed my own arm off is irrelevant at this moment, and I don't want to talk about it.

"As Rin said, my name is Levi, Just Levi. It'd be great to know your names." I said as the Bremen Girl has finished bandaging what remains of my left arm. "I can tell you why I had to saw it off later." She pouts with concern and morbid curiosity, but she does nod with acceptance.

"I'm Hinomiya Chinatsu of the Gehenna Prefect Team." The Bremen Girl, Chinatsu introduced herself as she moved on to my eye. Wrapping the new and clean bandage around my head to cover my right eye. Their names are like that Edo salarymans. I just now notice that they use their second names first.

"A-and I am Hayase Yuuka, Treasurer of Millennium Science School." She spoke, with some glimmer of pride. Impressive, she spoke clearly despite being completely frozen earlier.

"I am… Hanekawa Hasumi of Trinity General School, as well as the Vice President of the Justice Task Force." The Winged Girl Hasumi recovered finally from her nausea. And Justice Task Force? That sounds so cool, but moving on.

I turn to Rin, and she does the same. "Rin, can you tell me about the Sanctum Tower, and what I have to do?" I want to rest now, but the apparent chaos all across the city needs to be dealt with first. And I want it dealt with before the withdrawal kicks in.

"Right now?!" She asked incredulously. "You should rest first Sensei!" She's not suggesting, she's commanding me judging by her tone.

It would be better If they don't find out about My heroin addiction.

"I want to rest, Rin, But…" I pause a little to think about an excuse… and its clearly showing itself all across the city now. "Kivotos is beautiful," I started, getting her, and everyone elses attention.

"But little by little it's starting to look like Prehevil after it got invaded by the Bremens, infiltrated by the Sulfur Cult, and the once in a while Termina Festival started… and I really don't want to relive that absolute nightmare."

Hearing about the city Rin mentioned to be in ruin, along with the three disasters I mentioned put fear into their expressions, fear of what could happen to their beloved home of Kivotos. Damn, I feel like I'm fear mongering like the propaganda radios during the war.

"Termina Festival?" Hasumi questioned, why is she even as- oh wait, festival,.They would already know of the negative connotations of the words invasion and cult, but most wouldn't think of something terrible when hearing the word festival. I can see the others wondering the same thing.

"Prehevil, My hometown, is special. But not in the normal sense." How do I even explain that damned city?! Maybe the obvious differences between it and the other places I've seen. "It is special because it still practiced things that people stopped doing long ago. It was a medieval or dark age city pretending to be a modern one."

"What kind of practices and customs exactly?" The girl in black uniform asked. I Guess it wouldn't be clear enough for many to imagine clearly.

"Medieval things in the modern day. I see why it can be considered special." Yuuka said with a sigh. No you clearly don't Yuuka, same with the last two pointy eared girls.

Fine, I'll say it plainly.

"Crucifixions, human sacrifices. Those kinds of medieval nonsense!" I said in an annoyed exasperated tone.

Oh, Chinatsu finally finished bandaging my eye… they're staring at me again… its still sinking in for them, the fact that such a society can still exist in this day and age.

"Are the carvings on your face also from the practices there?" It was Chinatsu asking, She still has a worried look in Her eyes.

"Yeah, the symbol of the God of Fear and Hunger," I see them tense up a little as I bought up the name. "Despite the ominous name, it's still the most benevolent of the Gods. And I got desperate back there, this was weirdly comforting when I had it carved into my face." Plus, the origin of this God, the child Who only knew terror and starvation. I sympathized with her story… wait her? Why did I think it's a her?

"But moving on, the Sanctum Tower. Rin!" I got sidetracked talking about Prehevil but we really need to deal with that tower thing.

"R-right of course, but before that, I must explain something first," She interrupted herself as she cleared her throat and to make sure everyone is looking at her. "The Federal Investigation Club:Schale, a club- no, more like an extrajudicial organization with authority to operate all over Kivotos as well as to register students from any school. How the President formed such a club is beyond me, but the only thing needed to know for now is that Levi-Sensei was appointed as it's advisor by President." She announces all of that briefly, and directly. The other girls look like they have questions, but Rin is still talking.

"The Schale Clubroom is 30 kilometers away from Here, President had us hide something in the basement there, and it is my duty to lead you, Levi-Sensei, to it."

Ah, finally, time for action. Hopefully I can finish this before the withdrawal rears its ugly head. Rin took something thin and rectangular… what is th-

My own thoughts stop as a transparent blue person appears from a light coming from the rectangle thing.

"Momoka, I need a helicopter to the Schale Clubroom." She said to the midget with a similar uniform to hers that was blue and transparent… So it's a radio? Then what's the point of having the other person come out like that?!

"Schale Clubroom? Oh, that's on the outskirts," the Midget, Momoka as Rin called her sounds like she couldn't care less."Things are crazy over there!" Now that I look at her I can see that her hair is pink and tied to two sides. On the top of her head are stars formed around eachother.

Before Rin could even ask she keeps going. "The student who escaped the corrections bureau rallied around the divided delinquents and they're on their way to the Schale building." That explains a lot but it's not like I'm dropping right above them.

"They're destroying everything in their path and are probably going to occupy the clubroom as revenge against the GSC, and they have a crusader tank with them!" She's still talking like its none of her concerns,. But I can see why, who would want to deal with an army with a tank… I, along with other kids and adults did exactly that without wanting to. Easy enough for me… I guess.

"Anyway, the entire situation there is just beyond fixing…," I hear a faint ring from the radio. "Oh that's my order right there, good luck, Rin!" So people can order food here from home. I'm jealous of how convenient life is here.

She just turned off the radio thing, and Rin… yeah, she's pretty pissed. I should probably calm her down.

I approach her but before I could reach her I see that she has crushed the rectangular device with her bare hands. Cracks and deformation obvious in it's form.

"Rin." I said getting her attention."Empty Your mind, and breath at a steady pace." That worked… kind off, to calm people down. I can see Rin doing just that but she's still pissed, I can see it in her eyes.

"I am calm, Sensei." No you're not, Rin. She then turns her head towards the trio of representatives… and smiled. "It is reassuring to know that you distinguished representatives are with us at this moment." No, I don't need or want to lead other kids to battle again. I need to tell Rin.

"I'll be fine by myself Rin, and besides I know I can run that long. I doubt they can." She simply turned her eyes toward Me… I can't move… at this moment, she's like those adults with high ranks I served under back in the war… It's been drilled into my mind not to question them. I can't bring myself to oppose Rin as she turned her eyes back to the three.

"We need your help to bring peace back to Kivotos." Her pissed of smile is still there, she's almost like Lieutenant Pav with that smile.

"Come, let us go." She said, ignoring whatever Yuuka stammered out.

/

Submachinegun fire, several of them coming from the helmeted gangsters. Some black, some red, they're unorganized but their firepower is still effective.

I see Yuuka try to peak out and fire back with her dual submachineguns but I grab her by the collar and yank her back.

"Hey, what gi-"

"Don't move out of cover unless I say so!" I practically shouted at Yuuka as my memories and experience of leading other kids come back to me.

"I shouldn't even be here! I'm a member of my schools student council!" She complained, I understand but I don't care less at the moment.

I pull out My Lugr from my pocket and out of reflex tried to pull back the charging handle with my nonexistent left hand. The stump that is my left arm above the elbow just wiggles awkwardly… the three girls I'm with staring in morbid fascination until Chinatsu pulled the handle and loaded a bullet to the chamber.

"Thanks, Chinatsu." She nods back. Alright, I see ten helmeted enemies, this should be easy enough. "When they stop shooting to reload, I'm coming out of cover to shoot back. Make sure to only get out of cover yourselves once I empty my magazine, got it!" I laid out my plan to the three representatives but they're looking at me in doubt…

"I've been doing this for 5 years now, I know what I'm doing!" I shout at the three Girls as we're getting sprayed with bullets. That seemed to get through them as they nodded in affirmation.

I wait and wait for the enemies to run out of bullets and one by one I hear each one stop firing to reload until all have stopped firing entirely.

That's when I bolt out of cover and quickly scan the battlefield. Of where the enemies are, and which are at good positions. I bring up my right arm to aim my Lugr but forgot that I'm actually blind in my right eye, and I quickly re-aim with my left eye to shoot at each helmeted gangsters weapon in their hands.

[Gun Proficiency] [Gunslinger]

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The three bullets hit the weapons of three helmet gangsters as they drop their weapons and I see their hands trembling.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The same thing happened to three more, cursing loudly and holding their own trembling hands tightly.

Bang! Bang!

I aimed at the two who were the closest to finish reloading and hit the magazines they were loading to their long submachineguns. And much like the last ones, they're looking at me in fear and surprise as their hands visibly tremble.

I'm out

"Hasumi! Shoot the one closest to you! Aim for her weapon, don't let her fight back!" Quickly, she stands up from her cover and swiftly aims her rifle towards one of two remaining armed helmet gangsters.

Bang!

She fires and I see the gangsters rifle break apart. Hasumi's bullet tearing through it. Impressive, I underestimated her for being a rich girl but she has skill.

"Chinatsu! Aim for the last armed gangsters hand or weapon! Yuuka! Go around their flank and spray them!"

As soon as I gave the order. Chinatsu dropped her bag and held her pistol with both hands aiming and firing at the last armed enemy's weapon, hitting the gun after a few shots and causing the gangsters hands to start trembling like the rest of her peers.

With all of the helmet gangsters unarmed, and under stupor from their hands shaking and weapons being shot away from them. Yuuka was unimpeded as she strutted to their flank and sprayed the sitting ducks with her dual submachineguns, each of the ten gangsters eating lead as they went down.

Yuuka, breathing heavily lowers her empty guns to look at the result of her spray and pray. A smirk forms in her lips."This is the power of Millenniums treasurer!" She's more confident now compared to earlier when she was whining… she earned it, I guess.

"Amazing!" I hear Hasumi behind me exclaim in awe. "I must confess, I doubted your ability to lead because of your disabilities and lack of a halo, but I can rest well knowing you are beyond capable despite being only a year or two older than us." Even in the battlefield the rich girl speaks with elegance and politeness. I'm kind of envious, I wish I was that refined. And halo? Are those some kind of status symbol here? Why does she see the need to bring it up?

"I noticed that you tried to aim with your right eye but quickly adjusted to aim with your left. Same with you trying to use your left arm, Levi-Sensei, you shouldn't be fighting with those injuries." How sweet of her. Chinatsu, even in the middle of all of this is still worried about me.

I give her a reassuring smile."As long as You're with me Chinatsu, I'll always be alright." Wait, that sounded like-

She blushes a little but still maintains a strict but concerned look in her eyes.

"Now is not the time for flirting, Sensei!" Heh, She's cute when she's exasperated.

"Hmmph!/Hmm!" I hear Yuuka and Hasumi expressing their envy. Are They the medic? No, no they're not, only Chinatsu gets my praise. And besides, she's the one holding the morphine, I'm gonna need that later.

/

We've walked pretty far now, around us are damaged roads, destroyed cars, and looted stores yet somehow it's still looks better than all of Prehevil.

Yuuka is walking ahead of me with an obviously overconfident aura, the earlier victory got to her head, I see.

Ah, more are here, I can't see the enemies but I can still feel the danger. 5 years in combat gave me that kind of sense.

I once again grab Yuuka and yank her into cover as she let out an indignant Yelp followed by complaining.

That was the right call as bullets where sprayed om where she just was, I look at the enemies, I hear Rin call Them "Sukeben" over the small convenient radio on my ear, delinquents in grey uniforms and a facemask with a cross on it.

There's too many to count and I tell the other two to take cover just as they unleashed their full firepower and we were pinned down in an instant.

Bullets whizz and fly above us, some hit the concrete we're hiding behind for cover. I can't see us getting out of this.

The absolute worst case scenarios storm my brain as I panic and franticly look around for anything.

I didn't have to wait long as someone threw a grenade at the Sukebens.

"Flashbang!" I hear Hasumi cry out, huh? Flashba-

My thoughts are interrupted as Chinatsu covered my left and only eye and then pulled Me down, keeping me like that until I heard a sudden loud bang followed by the screams of pain, gunfire, and the occasional sound of bearings from the other side of the cover.

I pry Chinatsu's hands off of my head to peek out of cover, all the enemies in sight are disorientated covering their ears and closing their eyes but they seem to be recovering.

Ratatatatat!

I turn my head and see the white haired girl with a wing sticking out of her head. She slams the buttstock of her gun on a Sukeben further discombobulating her, then she pushes her back onto the Sukeben using her as a shield on her rear as she opened fire on the enemies in front of her.

"Cover her!" I shouted out, bolting out into danger with my Lugr at the ready.

Bang!

And that's one less enemy who can fight back until she kneels to pick it back up. Thankfully, Hasumi landed a shot on her head and she dropped down.

Then Yuuka sprays the ones further to the right full auto, some burning hot casings hitting my head as they were ejected. I dropped my head lower to avoid more of Yuuka's hot casings, my ears ringing just barely above being deaf as I looked to the left.

The Sukeben the girl with a wing on her head recovered enough that she's wrestling the white haired reinforcement of ours for her gun. I just now notice that her clothes have some cuts here and there, same with bruise's in her skin. She's exhausted but still fighting, that's amazing. But the ones she sprayed earlier are somehow still alive!

I bolt up and start charging their left flank as I aimed my Lugr.

"Levi-Sensei! Get ba-"

Bang!

And down that one's weapon went, her hands trembling from the sudden vibrations forced upon her hands. Sorry, Chinatsu but as a man I should be the one leading.

Bang! Bang!

And now, the three of them are now with trembling hands and no armaments. They turn their heads to look at me with rage, then it morphed to eyes wide in disbelief probably at how horrible I look as other people here have.

But that's not important at the moment, what matters now is that I can take them down without killing them!

[Engarde]

Still charging the three of them, I jumped with all the force my lower half could muster as I brought my feet up to land on any one of these three.

I kicked the one in the middle away, she stumbled back gaining the full attention of the one wrestling with the white haired girl. That's all the distraction the girl with a wing in her head needed, she yanked her gun back kicking the Sukeben in the knee and slamming her guns buttstock on her head knocking her out.

Well, at least I assume she's knocked out, her halo's disappeared.

That aside-

[Barehand Proficiency]

Dropping my Lugr, I slam my fist on Sukeben to my left but… she didn't react. She just looks annoyed.

I grab her by the hair, dragging it as I mived forward and her along as she yelped. The white haired reinforcement of ours sees me, she then brings her rifle up and slammed it at the Sukeben I'm dragging along which knocked her out.

She looks past me, glaring at the remaining Sukeben behind me. She then ran past me, beating the Sukeben as she yelled out in pain.

Hmm, there's still a few infront of us. One of them stands up aiming her gun at me, but Hasumi easily picked her off.

I see Yuuka running towards their flank as their focus is all on me, leaving her once again open as she smirked.

"Out the way now, Sensei!" Without skipping a beat, I jump up their cover and onto the other side to get myself out of Yuuka's line of fire. I felt little rocks sticking to my forehead as I landed, hearing the screams of Sukebens being decimated by Yuuka's full auto.

That's done, I guess. May they rest in peace. I see the white haired girl with a wing in her head limping into view as I picked myself back up.

"You… you're the… Sensei Acting President Rin… told me… about." She spoke in between huffs, catching her breath. "I am… Morizuki Suzumi." She's the one Hasumi said went back to her school as reinforcement, all by herself… and she went back here again acting as a lone reinforcement to us.

"I'm Levi, just Levi. You… you're really good." I praised, looking around and admiring what her support brought us.

"Suzumi, how's the situation in Trinity?"

"Everything's… stable. Tsurugi-san… has it all covered… along with the Remedial Knights." Remedial Knights? That sounds awesome.

"I see, that's great news! But… did you run all the way back here after stabilizing the situation back in Trinity?!"

I see Chinatsu rushing to Suzumi with a hand in her large medical bag. She pulls out bandages and… I think those are to prevent infection or something.

Chinatsu taps at some of the scratches in Suzumi's face with a cotton ball wet with what I assume to be a disinfectant, to which Suzumi winced but didn't avoid. Chinatsu then started applying bandages on her.

"Thank you, Gehenna Prefect member." Suzumi said with a smile. "Now, I heard you were in a mission to bring peace back to Kivotos. I'm here, where to now?" Running possibly around an entire city while occasionally engaging in direct combat, yet she's still ready to kick ass… Suzumi is really strong.

/

Rin is talking through the same rectangular device She used earlier to talk to us. A radio seems more convenient than having to stare at the blue transparent form of someone else.

"I've found out who's causing causing all the chaos here. Her name is Wakamo, aka the Fox of Calamity, the one who escaped from the corrections bureau, a repeat offender, please, be careful around her." Just where are you watching from Rin? I guess that's not important at the moment.

"Is she the one with fox ears and a mask?" I ask as in the distance I spot a girl wearing a red and black dress of far eastern design. Her halo, a red circle with a black and red flower in the middle. She's armed with a rifle.

"Yes! Do you see her?" Rin was almost shouting."Then please avoid her at all cost she-"

"Not possible, Rin." I interrupt her. I can talk back to her now that I got over the memories of trained obedience her furious eyes resurfaced in my head.

I hand over the device to Chinatsu as I turn to Hasumi and I gesture for Her to give me Her rifle with my arm.

"Eh? But Sensei, this far?" Yeah, I can see why She would hesitate. I dropped My rifle to use the Lieutenants Lugr when I lost My left arm.

"Let me borrow it, just one shot, Hasumi, please." That last bit seemed to be what convinced her as she loaded a bullet in the chamber and handed it to me. Her rifle is pristine and needlessly decorated with gold patterns. Rich girls gonna rich girl I guess… I'm starting to miss My rifle now.

I use Yuuka as a stabilizer to mount the rifle on since I'm one arm down.

"Wha-! Hey! Stop that!" She's clearly annoyed at being used as a mount but-

"Stay still Yuuka, just for a second." I say as I'm looking through the iron sight, aiming it at Wakamo as Rin called her, and making sure to align both the rear and front site to Wakamo herself… Yuuka actually stopped moving.

"Thank You, Yuuka." I said as I pulled the trigger the same time Wakamo put her rifle up aiming it back at me. Her long bayonet shining as sunlight shone upon it.

[Marksmanship]

Boom!

And in an instant I see the orange flash of the bullet reach Wakamo and the bullet I fired break through her rifles bayonet, destroying it entirely and scattering the pieces with my bullet going straight through and onto her face.

The mask she's wearing breaks apart and the split pieces fly away as Wakamo's head was jerked back at the force of the bullet.

I expected her to fall then and there, No normal person would survive a bullet to the face, but of course. "this Wakamo girl couldn't be normal."

I mumbled outloud to myself as I see her turn her head towards me with a shocked, surprised expression. Even this far, I can feel her eyes directly on mine.

She smiles, followed by heavy blushing and her covering her face… in fear? No… That look on her face… oh no, It's like the one that stalker back in the church basement gave Marina before moonscorching.

I step back slightly in fear. I hand Hasumi back her rifle as I see Wakamo fleeing the battlefield and onto… somewhere else, thankfully.

"A-amazing! You continue to surprise me and go beyond expectations, Levi-Sensei!" Hasumi keeps on gushing over me, am I really that good?

"T-that was at least 12,468 feet away, and with just an ironsight!" Yuuka said in awe. Did she really count all of that? "But Levi-Sensei, please don't use me like a bipod ever again!" She growled at me whilst blushing. You're saying you don't like it yet you're all flustered?

"So cool, c-can you teach me how to hit that far, Sensei?" I hear Suzumi behind me ask. "After all of this of course." She quickly added, I give her a thumbs up and in turn, she gives me a wide happy smile.

"Truly impressive, and with your non dominant eye and one hand only, even Iori would be in awe." Chinatsu praised. This is the first time here I've heard praise from her and I'm more than happy to lap it up.

"Y-yeah! I'll have you girls know, the adults back in the war called me the Golden Boy because of how good I was. They even gave me my own squad to lead." Wait, why did I reveal that much? Oh well, what has been said can't be unsaid I guess.

I see Hasumi nodding and smiling, Yuuka still glaring but with a curious look as I revealed a little about my past. Suzumi looks like she also wants to know more.

"You worked with adults?" Chinatsu asked. She has her eyes narrowed, why? "They shouldn't have let you get hurt as you have then!" Ah, she's really sweet. She's angry for me.

"They had their own families to take care of, besides, that's in the past now." She doesn't let up her fury, but we both know there's nothing we could do about that now.

/

"The clubroom is close, just around that building to the right." Rin's voice came from the thing making her transparent blue figure… this is really weird. I'd prefer if she just used a radio.

We walked a little more to where Rin was directing us until we turned that corner and… how the hell did I miss that?

The clubroom as the girls called it. It's shooting a bright blue line straight up the sky and making a giant halo at the top… I mean, it's the same shade as the sky but I should've at least noticed.

We were about to walk towards it until I stopped, something is coming.

The girls all turn towards me. Looking on in confusion wondering why I've stopped.

I see Hasumi open her mouth to ask but she stopped when the rumbling finally came. The other girls looked around a little, as did I.

Boom!

I heard as I instinctually threw myself to the ground for cover as the girls took cover behind concrete barriers and abandoned cars. I heard the fired shell whizz past us and hit a building, exploding as it obliterated a large chunk of that buildings side.

I look on and see a tank accompanied by Sukeben infantry slowly moving towards us. I hear the delinquent girls jeering at us, laughing at us, daring us to stick our heads out.

I wasn't worried about the tank, It can be blinded and turned to a cakewalk, a lesson I learned back in Prehevil. But the Sukeben girls are a separate problem entirely.

"Suzumi, do you still have flashbangs?" I ask the white haired girl. She takes out her pouches to show that she still has a handful… it's not much but it's something.

"Alright," I have a plan… kind off,"here's the pl-"

"Hold on!" I hear Yuuka interrupt me. What is it? The look I'm giving her should be saying that, and thankfully she got it.

"You didn't even ask what I have?!" She sounds upset that I'm not paying attention to her, alright then. I motion for her to show me what she's got with my only arm.

And with that she pulls out… a small but bulky rectangular device similar to what Rin had earlier… she has a smirk and a confident look in her eyes… seriously?

"What's that gonna do? Cast Hurting and Black Orb on the tank?" I ask, genuinely confused as I raise my eyebrows.

"Pfft/Hehe/Fufu." Behind me and to my sides I hear Suzumi, Hasumi, and Chinatsu shaking as they bring their hands to their mouth to stop themselves from laughing out loud yet still letting out giggles.

I swear I even heard Rin let out a slight chuckle. Yuuka's expression is frozen, she looks like doesn't know how to respond, I see her shaking a little.

Slowly, I see her expression morph into that of indignant rage, her eyes narrowing and her teeth showing.

She looks like she's about to explode and start shouting at me but then I see her close her eyes, controlling her breathing as I hear her start counting up in uneven numbers, yet I can still hear her anger slightly on her voice.

Suddenly, she bolts out of cover as she's holding and tapping away at that device of hers. Dashing towards the tank.

… What?... Goddamnit!

The Sukebens fire and spray at her but fortunately, they suck and I see and hear their bullets hit the ground and the cars around us instead.

I get out of cover and run towards her while the situation is still salvageable and the tank crew hasn't reloaded the cannon yet.

I hear the other girls behind me scream and shout to get back in cover but I ignore them and keep on running after Yuuka. She already stopped running and is standing still tapping at that damn device… I see the tank cannon re-aim.

I try my damndest to run faster as I move my legs, my right and only arm, and my stump of a left arm faster.

I see Yuuka stop tapping as she straightens her posture and points the hand holding that thing towards the tank and the Sukebens.

"Behold, My Q.E.D fie-!"

Whatever she was going to shout at them, she stopped and let out a yelp as I grabbed her by her white jacket and yanked, throwing her back.

Boom!

I heard the tank fire, hopefully their aim is also ter-

Splat!

Eh? My thoughts are broken as I see and feel, screaming out in pain as the shell went through my left side and the force made me turn around and see… Yuuka, her face and business suit splattered with my blood… and some bits and pieces of my innards.

She looks distraught her eyes wide as plates, her mouth open. I hear her whimper as she shakes her head a little, same with the other girls.

I can't see where the shell landed, but I'm glad it didn't hit any of them.

The pain burns, it's unbearable, yet I can't scream. I can feel Myself falling to unconsciousness.

… Is this How I die? It's not a bad death, helping others bring back peace to an entire city, it could've been better… No, I want to keep on living, especially now that I know there's a place like this. Nothing like the absolute hell that was Prehevil or the frontlines.

I don't want to die now when I'm so close to living in comfort, and besides, the girls still need me. I haven't finished the job yet!

I was about to fall down, but I force my foot forwards to catch myself from falling.

I refuse to die! Not like this!

[Sisu]

I grit my teeth as hard as I can, forcing myself to stay awake.

I turn around to face the tank and the Sukebens. I see and hear the Sukebens shouting over eachother.

"T-that guy! He doesn't have a halo!"

"H-hole! In his guts! And b-blood!"

"H-hey hey, we a-aren't murderers! We didn't m-mean it!"

… I feel My left and only eye twitching… what the hell do they mean they didn't mean it?! They're going around shooting up everything and they say they don't want to kill anyone… absolute nonsense!

I don't know if it'll work outside of Prehevil but I'll try anyways. Calling out to the God of Fear and Hunger for it's blessing.

[Mischief of Rats]

I feel something tug at my mind as I see rats rush out of my shadow and start swarming towards the tank and the Sukebens as I will them to do so. They get in the tank and then I hear the crew scream and shout that they're getting everywhere. The Sukebens are no longer looking at me, they're busy trying to force the rats out of their clothes.

Good, They're immobilized. The magic of the Gods used sanity as fuel, that's what I figured out as everytime I used it I could feel my mind being pulled by something. Alcohol, tobacco, and opioids could slow down the mental damage but I can't exactly use it at the moment and I have no Idea how much magic I can unleash. I need to finish this fast.

I raise my hand towards the tank, focusing the hatred I manifested earlier as I heard their nonsense.

[Hurting]

A red and black aura forms around the tanks middle part as again I felt my mind being pulled, the pain increasing more. I pull and yank my hand backwards to signal my concentrated hatred and pain to explode letting out a vacuum sound followed by the tanks right track being destroyed and dropping to the ground.

Good, the tanks is blind and crippled, well, was blind. The destruction of the tracks must've compelled the crew to ignore the rats and to reload and re-aim… yeah, not happening.

I lean forward and bring my right arm to my bleeding left side to grasp the flowing blood.

[Blood Sword]

The blood flowing from my insides and splattered into my right hand solidify and elongate into a sword…

I don't know if this will work but I can barely move, and my head is spinning. Oh well.

I swing the sword made out of my blood upwards at the tanks direction, parts of the blood being splattered in a thin line going towards the tank.

The thin line of blood goes through the tank and to my utter bewilderment the tank… it has split in half as each separate part turned over to its sides, the crew looking on in disbelief.

That's that I guess, I'm not done with Them yet.

Slowly I force my feet to move. Limping towards the Sukeben who are finished with the rats and are now looking at me with fear.

[Intimidation]

I see some of them step back in fear and panic… come on! Weren't you girls acting high and mighty moments ago?!

"I… W-will." With my still gritting teeth, I growl my words out. "tear you all… limb from limb," My throat burns, and my left side hurts more as I force myself to keep walking and growling.

"And cast you down… to the Sulfur Pits!" I stop, looking on the now trembling and shaking delinquents, looking like they're about to turn tail.

[Killing intent]

"Tell the Sulfur God I sent you!" I half shouted, half growled at the fearful Sukebens. Before I even swung the sword down, they already turned around and started running while screaming.

I dissipate My blood sword, and slowly, limp and turn around to see Yuuka and the others.

She still has the same expression of terror. She's on her knees, slowly forcing herself to stand up. She whimpers as she points to the hole in my left side.

I see Chinatsu running towards me alongside Suzumi followed shortly after by Hasumi.

"Levi-Sensei!" Chinatsu yelled at me at a short distance. "Why did You do that?!" Isn't that obvious?

"The GSC President… sent me to take care of You girls." I explain is a soft low voice to avoid straining myself."It wouldn't do if anyone died under my command."

"Idiot!" I see tears in her eyes as she reached me and had me sit down, she's looking at the bloody hole on my left side in despair, unsure of what to do.

"Didn't the GSC President tell you?!" I hear Suzumi who has reached me ask in a loud worried tone. Tell me what? That I would have pretty girls serving under me? That worked better as a surprise ."Our haloes are like armor, It makes us resistant to damage, it's why everyone is armed here!" She explained as much like Chinatsu, she looked on at my wound in despair.

Ah, so that's why Hasumi mentioned the haloes earlier, it's nice to know that she was worried about me that much.

I see her approaching me with Yuuka in tow slowly.

"Sensei, did you not notice the lack of blood earlier?" No, I never questioned it, and I never looked at the enemies we neutralized earlier. "Did you not notice that the delinquents we defeated were only knocked out and did not once bleed?"

She asked looking on in worry and caution. What are you thinking Hasu-

[Mind Read]

Did you lead us earlier with the delinquents deaths in your mind?!

… I didn't mean to activate that intentionally, but it is convenient. I hate to say it but thanks, Rher.

I simply stare back at her. I did, but I didn't want to say it. Those delinquents really didn't want to kill, I realize that now.

Chinatsu, sweet girl, looks like she can see what Hasumi was thinking on her face. She was about to reprimand Hasumi for what she was implying, But I grab her shoulder to stop her.

Alright, first things first.

[Loving Whispers]

Once again, I felt a massive headache followed by a soothing feeling as I whispered prayers to the Goddess of Love. The hole on my left side stitching itself close, creating flesh to replace the pieces lost as the bright violet aura covered it.

"Uwaa… Is this.. actual magic?" I hear Chinatsu say in disbelief. The glow from the Sylvian spell reaching her, the others are also looking on, unbelieving of the actual magic they are witnessing. Yeah, I couldn't believe it at first either.

The explosion of the Hurting, slash of the Blood Sword, and healing of Loving Whispers is greater here in Kivotos than in Prehevil. Is there something special in this place as well?

"I'm fine now." No need to complicate things, was what went unsaid as I see the girls looking at me once more in surprise.

I turn to Yuuka, looking on regretfully. She opens her mouth, no doubt to apologize, but she stammers and stops herself.

I approach her, and she steps back slightly. She trembles now that we're infront one another.

I pull off the bandages covering my right eye, I felt the Sylvian spell also stitching and healing my eye earlier so this wasn't needed anymore.

Before Yuuka could react I use the still mostly clean bandages to wipe my blood off her face. She seems surprised and unsure of how to respond.

"You're cuter when you have that confident smile." I say to her with the most reassuring smile I can muster up. She looks up at Me and starts shaking as she opens Her mouth, but she simply turns to the side.

"Idiot." She said in a low voice ."I wanted to show off my innovation." She said in a dejected tone, obviously having trauma and regret from seeing me hurt.

"You'll get to soon, so stop worrying about me." She seems to accept it as it is as she doesn't respond.

I pass through Suzumi as she was still looking at me in worry and a little wonder, I give her a wave to show that I'm fine. "Was that… real magic?" Real? You mean those haloes aren't considered magic?

Chinatsu is infront of me as I walk to the Schale building entrance, the one with blue light shooting up the sky… seriously, which else could it be?

"Sensei, that healing magic…" Of course she would be curious about that, she's a medic.

"A blessing from the Goddess of Love, I'll teach you later if you want. But first, the Schale thing." She nods her head eagerly and moves out the way.

Then there's Hasumi. I walk faster to Her surprising her as she slightly moved back. I come closer to her and simply state."Yeah, I had them dying in mind, the President didn't say anything about the haloes, I didn't know it was for protection because she was wounded when I saw her." She widens her eyes in surprise as I answered Her mental question instead of the one she actually asked.

I move past her and to the Schale entrance. It's been a long day along with the 30 Kilometer march, it's about time I end this and get some rest.

Rin said the basement right? I move around the place and to the stairs going downwards, I reach out to the door handle to the basement but… Its locked…

[Lockpicking]

Not a problem. Mister Marcoh and Miss Karin taught me how to pick locks… in a way I guess.

The handle twists and the door opens leading to another short stair down wards, and a bookshelf to the right… I almost started looking for Skin Bible's out of reflex.

I see some sleek looking computers, something that reminds of the table from Father Donovan's house which has a floating rock above it.

"I don't see what the big deal with this place is." Someone's Here? Who? I hide behind a pillar, slowly and silently moving to avoid detection. "What am I even supposed to destroy here?" The voice went on, I turn the corner and see… oh no, its that Fox Girl. But the door was locked, how did she-

I didn't even reload My Lugr… I still had my fist, but I doubt it would work now that I know what the haloes are for.

I see her face… she's really pretty… and cute with that confused and puzzled expression.

I see her fox ears twitch, and she turns directly to me… Crap.

"Oh." Oh indeed. Okay, how do I get out of this… Eh screw it.

[Mind Read]

The boy from earlier. He was so dashing and skilled, to hit both my bayonet and my mask in one precise shot. That was extraordinary, and he's even more handsome now that I see him more clearly, It's like we're meant to be together! Wait… his left arm…

So I was right, she's just like Marina's stalker. But thankfully she actually looks somewhat sane, maybe I can talk to her.

[Persuasion] [Diplomacy]

"H-hey there, I know I shot you earlier and all that, b-but maybe we can get over that over a warm, fresh, meal." I stuttered that out. The pressure of talking to someone with that moniker:Fox of Calamity is oppressive.

Eh he is inviting me to a date, ehh, umm

She looks flustered, shyly hiding her expression as she sways a little… is she really that feared.

"Eh, uhmm, ah, well." She stammers. Unable to put her thoughts into words, she reaches her hand up to adjust her nonexistent mask out of reflex… and she realizes that she's no longer masked as she panics with a flustered blushing mess of an expression.

"I was just leaving!" She yelled as she ran out the exit… well, that just happened.

I turn around as the door she went through just closed… and I turn around as it opened again revealing Rin… did she pass Wakamo?

"Oh? Did I miss something?" She noticed My puzzled look as she asked.

"N-nothing at all, Rin" I doubt she would believe that I made the so called Fox of Calamity stammer and fluster.

"… Right." She doesn't look convinced but she lets Me off the hook. "Your eye? It's healed?!" She asked in surprise. But she controls herself and refocuses on the task at hand.

She then moves to the corner of the room and to a table. She then grabs something thin and rectangular, that thing again.

"This." She began." Is the Shittim chest, it is what the GSC President left behind." Shittim? Heh. "Please take it." Uh huh, and what am I supposed to do with this? She sees my confused look and went on talking

"It may look like an ordinary tablet, but Its origins is a mystery. It's s manufacturer, OS, system structure, and components are entirely unknown." She explains… But I understand absolutely none of it.

"Tablet?" I ask in absolute confusion. She expresses confusion as well. "e-electronics only came a few years ago where I came from, even computers were the size of trucks." I try to explain what I know about electronic stuff, and she sighs in frustration but has an understanding face.

"There should be a small button on the side… no the other side, those are the volume buttons. Yes that's it, all you have to do is press that." I'd give her a thumbs up, but my only hand is occupied, I stuck the tablet thing to my left armpit so I can press that button she's talking about… done.

The things screen opens up and on the electronic screen is asking for a password… what password? The president didn't tell Me an-

"We bear the koan of Jericho, we thirst for the seven wailings." I felt myself mouth off… was that the Presidents magic? I didn't know those words, neither did I want to speak it.

The screen brightens up in blue, and those film like distortions fill My vision once again.

[User identified, Levi-Sensei]

What is this? I'm… inside the thing?! All around me is just blue! Is that an S symbol?

[Welcome to the Shittim Chest, Levi-Sensei]

The blue all over the place has dissipated, and I see… I'm inside a broken building, a classroom, tables all over, lockers, outside, I see a bright blue, and clean ocean and sky.

To my side, I hear a loud snoring, I turn to see… a little girl, seated, and her head resting on her arms on the class table, snoring without a care in the world.

"Castella cake… with banana milk… better than strawberry milk." She proclaimed in between snores. I don't know what those taste like so I'm kind of jealous that she's listing them all.

I move closer to her as I take in her appearance. She has a small blue halo, and much like Chinatsu, she has a bow tied to her head that looks like rabbit ears… her hair is the same as the Blue Haired Girl, the President, even the undersides are the same shade of pink! She's wearing a ocean blue sailor uniform with white collars.

I poke at her to wake her up.

"Ueeh.. there's still so much…" She snores, talking in her sleep. I then shake her shoulder. You can sleep later, for now, I need you awake.

"Uwah." She opened Her eyes, still half sleep as she stared at me.

"Eh?! Levi-Sensei?!" She said as she bolted straight up, how did you reco-

"I-I've been waiting for you, L-Levi-Sensei." She stuttered out nervously, yet with enthusiasm. She knew Me? How?

"But… you just woke up?" I ask cautiously, how would you even know I was coming?

"Eh, I was asleep? What time is it?" … I see She's just as oblivious as me.

"I'm Arona. The system Manager living inside the Shittim Chest, as well as its system OS, it's nice to finally meet You, Levi-Sensei!" She said in an excited tone. Rin also mentioned "OS" what does that mean?"Please, think of me as your secretary." Is she, the presidents-

"Are you that President Girls daughter?" I blurt out, I see her face just freeze, processing it until she lets out a shocked expression.

"I-I am not! Besides, the timeline doesn't add up, she's Your age! For me to be Her daughter…" She vehemently denies, I suppose that makes sense, even if she did give birth young, Arona wouldn't be this old by now. Moving on then.

"Weren't You sleeping?" She made an ignorant expression as she avoided my eyes.

"I was? Yeah… I sort of dozed off I guess." Well, at least she's honest.

"It's nice to meet You too," I return her greeting, probably should've been the first thing I did.

"I'm glad to hear that!" Her halo… morphed into a heart shape for a moment there, the romance kind of heart, not the one inside of people.

"My physical form may be small, and My voice could use some upgrade." Small… wait, are you that small rectangle in the real world? And upgrade? She speaks of herself as some kind of machine."But I can still be helpful to you. Oh yeah, we need to finish Your biological authentication." And how exactly are we doing that?

"Well… This is a little embarrassing." She closed her eyes out of shyness? What is it? I wave for her to get on with it."Could you come a little closer?" Is that it? Should've just said so.

I walk closer to her. She only now seems to notice my missing left arm and… the torn part of the left side of My uniform, She looks like she's about to ask but I motion for Her to ignore it.

"Right…," She said. She then brings up her right hand, pointing out her index finger as she leaned over a little."Could You… put Your finger tips on Mine?" Sure, I'll do just that.

I hear some mechanical humming and whirring as I wait for this process to finish… this is taking a little while."This may seem weird to you, but this is how I'm scanning your fingertips." That's good to know I guess. "Hehe, it's like we're making a promise." She said giggling a little.

"And all done!" And with that she pulled her hand back as did I.

"Can you tell me anything about the President?" I ask curiously. She was the device itself right? A living computer, she probably has records.

She closes her eyes a little as she hummed a tune… then she opened her eyes with disappointment.

"There's nothing about to President that I know off, sorry I couldn't do more." She explained and apologized with disappointment at her self. I pat her head to commend her effort, it seems to be enough for her as she smiled.

"In that case, can you take control of the Sanctum Tower Rin was talking about?" If she's what the President left for me, then she probably can.

"Will do!" She said as she closed her eyes again, humming a tune… this went on for a few more seconds until she reopened her eyes as it sparked.

"We've regained control of the Sanctum tower," That's good to kno-"That means all of Kivotos is in your hands!"… Why did you have to state it like that?

"Can you transfer that power to Rin and the GSC?" I ask her. Rin knows better how to run a city… probably.

"I can, but are you sure?" She asks me for confirmation… actually hold that thought.

"Can tou bring me back to the real world first?" She nods, and I wave at her to do so and once again. I'm engulfed by a bright blue color.

/

I find myself at the real world again. Unlike last time, the lights are actually on. I turn to Rin who's still There staring at me.

"Rin, quick question, how would you lead if Kivotos students didn't have haloes protecting them?" I quickly ask before she could even open her mouth.

Her face shows surprise and confusion at the sudden and abrupt question, but she looks like she's actually thinking about it.

[Mind Read]

What would I do? What would I even do? It's a normal everyday thing in Kivotos, we don't think about it at all, but the thought of people being vulnerable to critical wounds and even death it is… What would I even do, even if we did our utmost to prevent it, it would be inevitable… What do I even do in that situation?

She seems to be thinking hard, Her cold composed expression actually morphing to that of worry? She scans me, no doubt imagining the same injuries I have on people she know… I see her eyes watering… of course seeing your friends in my condition would be depressing. I see her open her mouth in shock as she looks at the torn part of my uniform in my left side. Right, of course the healing magic didn't fix it.

"Arona, give Rin all the power over the tower." I say. Distracting Rin as she started thinking about worst case scenarios in a world without haloes.

She looks a little confused as to her I was probably talking to myself… that confused face disappears as we both hear a ring in her pocket. She pulls it out and a relief passes in her face as she looked at that device.

"The General Student Council has regained control of the Sanctum Tower." She reports to me with relief and happiness in her face.

"This will let us manage the city as we did before prior to her disappearance. On behalf of the GSC I thank you, for saving Kivotos from falling to utter chaos." She looked really glad and thankful as she gave me a little bow.

"You already did enough Levi-Sensei. You needn't worry about the Sukebens who hurt you. They will be caught and punished." She tells me in a reassuring and comforting tone as she closed her eyes. Is that a way of expressing sincerity here?

"Right, I almost forgot." She suddenly open her eyes again. That's the first time I see her lose her composure and posture. "My duty was to lead you here, but I still need to properly introduce you to the Federal Investigation Club Schale." She then turns around. Signaling for me to follow after her.

/

We reach a door with a blue symbol of a circle overlapping with a cross, and on top of that is a halo in a front facing angle. There's also a piece of paper with far eastern letters taped to the doors window.

"It has been empty for a long time, but now it has an owner." She gave me a look before opening the door and letting us in.

I see that the entirety of where a wall should be is transparent glass, giving me a clear view of the city along with the bright blue sky.

I look around and see a desk with two computers and an office chair. I look around and see a cabinet with books and files, there's a shelf with cardboard boxes, a wall with a collection of those guns similar to Suzumi's long submachinegun, and a bunch of other things I'm not paying attention to.

"It can be considered as the clubroom of Schale, This will be your office from now on, Levi-kun… I- uh, I mean Sensei." She explained followed up by her fumbling the honorifics and for the second time all this time, I see Rin outside of her usual composed demeanor, what did those honorifics even mean?

"Rin, You don't have to keep using those honorifics, it must be a mouthful to say." I tell her to snap her out of her stuttering. She gives me an understanding smile… But now for the important question.

"Umm, Rin… would it be bad if I said My educational background-" wow, I feel a little smarter just saying that."- Is basically non existent." I tell her nervously as I look away in shame and scratch the back of my head.

"… What?" I see her eye twitch a little. She once again scans me. That calculating look of hers makes me unnerved. I hear her sigh. "In a society like the one you grew up in, I can see why, but don't worry, I can help you with that." She gives me a sympathetic look and tone of voice. She'll… teach me?

I actually smile… happily. I could feel my eyes water up in gratitude… I never actually thought about education… but. "Actually being thought instead of only beaten would be nice." I couldn't help but let that out. The thought of classrooms made me shudder as it always put that hell of an orphanage back in my mind, but I feel that I can finally move on from that.

I see Rins expression darken as I reveal that part of my past. "Yes. You of all people deserve some peace, Levi." She could only cheer me up with a comforting smile and tone.

"A few more things, Levi." I see Rin turn towards the city as she spoke."Schale has authority, but it has no current objective. You can freely walk into any academy and register any student as a member." Rin explains to me the position and authority Schale has, that last part though.

"The last part sounded a lot like conscription," I said. Remembering the general mobilization that I was a part of. "I don't need that."

"And you don't have to, any student could apply for Schale membership of their own free will." That's good. I smile and nod at her in understanding.

"President classified Schale as an investigation club yet she never specified what would be investigated. Fascinating, isn't it?" It looks to me like she's talking to herself as she thought about that Blue Haired Girl, closing her eyes while speaking. "You have a lot of freedom in that sense." Yeah I guess, what do I even do with all that time.

"I really wish we could ask the President for more details, but she still remains missing." Wait a minute-

"Didn't her letter say she was in Prehevil?" I ask in alert, why did I not question that earlier?!

"She wrote "judging by Levi-kuns condition, and the name of the city he mentioned". So I simply assumed she found you there. She's most likely never even set foot in Prehevil, and if she did, she would leave immediately going by how terrible of a place you make it out to be." She explained in great detail with a look of worry and slight anger talking about the city, yeah. Its that bad.

"Oh, right. Your escorts, the representatives said you were hurt, and then they claimed nonsense such as magic. Could you explain that." She has her full attention on me this time, eyes in anticipation at my explanation as her ears are twitching.

"I hate to admit it, but those rituals were for a reason," She seems repulsed. I am too, I feel like I'm justifying those atrocities. "Sacrifices for All-Mers protection and Gro-goroths blood magic," I bite my thumb, making it bleed to activate All-Mers blessing.

[Blood Sword]

"Like this." Her expression freezes in disbelief. I dissipate the sword as I keep on explaining. "Simple prayers for control over Vermin, a blessing by the God of Fear and Hunger." She stares at the sigil carved on my face, at the same time, my stomach grumbled at the word hunger… very funny.

"fasting is not a form of worship to It, I'm just hungry." I explain quickly.

"For Sylvains healing magic, a simple act of self love is enough." She again freezes at my words, followed by a flustered blush. "Make sure never to copulate in her name as that leads to a marriage of flesh, an abomination of two people." The blush on her face disappears as she listened to me, followed by a look of horror and disgust.

"For such heinous acts to be rewarded." She shakes in anger as she realizes that the atrocities committed were rewarded, but she does relent once it sinks in that she can do nothing about it.

"There's also the Moon God Rher, also called the God of the insane, I don't know what counts as worship to him but I have his blessings." She turns her head to me, probably curious as to why I have to bring it up.

"It's mind reading," I wait for her to unfreeze and process my words before explaining more. "I didn't wait for your answer to my question earlier because I was reading your mind as you were thinking it?" I explain as direct as I can, if anyone should know it would be her.

"Is that... so?" That tone of voice! I look at her expression to see, a smile with obvious hidden fury, the shine on her glasses hiding Her eyes. "Le-vi-kun," She said slowly, in a low voice. "Didn't anyone tell you, that a fair maidens secrets are sacred?" Her false smile disappeared as did the light hiding her eyes... She's looking at me as if I were walking garbage.

She bolts out of the room before I could even apologize.

Yuuka P.O.V

I should've reported back to Seminar by now but that image of Levi-Sensei screaming out in pain, a hole in hi-

I shake my head to remove that image from my head.

I pull out my phone to call and report back to Millennium but before I could, I see a peculiar sight.

Acting President Rin bursting through the glass door of the Schale building, her lips trembling and a brief glimpse at her eyes revealing... hurt? what happened?

I couldn't even ask as she quickly walked off somewhere.

The door once again burst open as Levi-Sensei ran out the door. His expression panicked as he tried to catch up to Rin.

"I'm sorry Rin, I didn't know!" What was he apologizing for. Before I could ask myself, I hear the Gehenna Girl beat me to it, I come closer to hear what happened.

"I was explaining the magic of the Gods to Her?" That sounds absolutely deranged, but considering what we've witnessed. His wounds healing as he whispered and that light aura engulfed him.

"It went well until I reached the Moon God's mind reading blessing." Ahh, speaking of deranged. I can understand the simple rats he summoned and that explosion and healing, but thats too far fe-

"You have haloes floating above your heads protecting you, thats more thats more far fetched than mind reading, Yuuka." Eh, I simply looked at him in panic and confusion, that was just coincidence, right?! My facial expression simply gave away my thoughts right?!

I see his expression soften, looking apologetically.

"Rin got mad when I told her I was reading her mind. I shouldn't invade a maidens mind she said, it's their sacred sanctuary and all that." He looks on with regret. He's actually serious! He looks at me and quickly nods. Stop reading mine then.

He looks away and onto Chinatsu. "I.. uh, do You have morphine?" He asked urgently like he's missing a deadline, sweat pouring down his forehead.

She gives him a narrowed look, examining him, no, His sweating. His eyes watering, his heavy breathing.

He tries to say something, but he's forced backwards as he starts vomiting heavily, I along with the others look on in worry, but the Gehenna Medic.

She slowly walks to him as he goes down on his knees holding himself, trying to control himself. He looks up at us with overflowing eyes and shaking mouth, pleading for something.

"Those symptoms." Chinatsu kneeled to Levi-Sensei's level, caressing his cheeks as she examined him. She snaps, realizing something that I and the two Trinity Girls don't. "What have you been taking, Levi?!" She shouts. scolding at him with a furious expression.

"Preposterous, are you implying that he's taki-" I hear Hasumi starting to accuse Chinatsu of something, but we hear Levi-Sensei force himself to make a noise to get our attention.

We see him raise his right and only arm. He presents its underside to reveal... numerous black bruises with needle marks in the middle... what?!

He breaths even more heavily, sweating excessively as he tried to force himself to stand but he fails and simply lands on his back. Chinatsu, Hasumi, and Suzumi rushing to his side.

Its time to repay him I guess.

I approach him as the others help him up, and I grab him by the arm, and hoist him up by my back, bringing my arms down to his butt to support his weight.

I see him in my peripheral vision looking on in worried teary eyes. I see him about to puke again, he tries to stop himself, bringing his arm to his mouth, but he fails to swallow it back. His vomit moving through his mouth and and hands, landing on my clothes.

He looks at me in regret. This time instead of simple teary eyes, he looks like he's about to cry.

"Don't worry, It's nothing compared to what you did for me." I try to reassure him in a low voice. "Can you guys point me to an infirmary or a clinic?" I call out to the others as they move to my front to escort me.

As I am moving I feel Levi-Sensei's breathing stabilize. I turn to see his head down, apparently asleep.

Sleep in peace then, you deserve it.

A/N I've had this in My mind for a while now, I just got the motivation to actually start writing, I hope its good.

Summary for Fear and Hunger players Who know nothing about Blue archive.

Academy city ruled by angel girls with guns, each of the major academies are run like governments by each schools student council, the General student council being the ruling government of Kivotos, and then there's a lot of cute and funny shenanigans but with a side dish of depression.

For Blue Archive players who know nothing about Fear and Hunger,

Levi is one of 8 currently playable characters in the second game, a heroin addicted soldier boy 18 years of age, he got conscripted at 13 to fight against fantasy windmill germany for a Soviet union fused with the ottoman empire but hes actually Czech, eldritch Gods are there and to get their blessings and magic is like filling a checklist, sacrifice x amount of people or do this ritual a few times.

Im too lazy to explain.

That was the Ao3 A/N, this will be the new A/N.

I'm uploading only 2 chapters(here in Spacebattles )for now out of the 17 that's already in Ao3(250k words when I'm writing this) since this being a funger fic is gonna contain somethings that are banned. (Particularly here in Spacebattles, it's gonna get thanos snapped once chapter 13 comes. I'm certain of it, and you will also be once you read it in Ao3.) I committed to what happens there and it's kind of major so I'm not really willing to erase it wherever I'm uploading.

Anyways, I wanna know your(readers) thoughts and I hope you like it
