Chapter IV:
Vaggie clung on to that log for a while, until the rapids began to slow down. Vaggie was then able to catch her breath. She thought she was safe for a while, until she noticed a shark fin. She quickly scampered out of the water and onto the log. Suddenly, there were more shark fins surrounding her. Unlike typical shark fins, these ones were black, with a mark looking like fire on them. Vaggie knew that these were hellsharks. Ferocious, bloodthirsty monsters.
She pulled out her spear and swung it at the hellsharks. But to no avail. One of the hellsharks jumped out of the water and tried to eat Vaggie. But she managed to dodge it. Another leaped at her, but she managed to kill it with her spear. She hopped on the floating carcass of that hellshark and started to fight off the others. She managed to keep on killing them for a while, but there were too many. But just when she thought it was over, one of the hellsharks was killed with a harpoon. To Vaggie's surprise, an imp on a fishing boat came by to save her.
Imp: Get onboard! Now!
Vaggie quickly hopped on board the imp's fishing boat, managing to dodge one last hellshark. Once she was safe, the imp tended to Vaggie. He managed to bandage her injured wings and patch up any wounds or scratches she had.
Imp: So, how did you wind up like this in the first place?
Vaggie: (sighs) It's a long story.
Just then, they both felt some turbulence on the boat. To their surprise, they found that the boat was hurtling towards some great rapids.
Imp: Better Hang On! This Is Gonna Get Rough!
Vaggie clung to the boat the best she could, while the imp tended to the controls. As the boat raced down the rapids, Vaggie felt more fear and anger. Why did she keep winding up in mortal danger, all for this carton of half n half. Then she remembered her Charlie. She knew that she needed her coffee, just the way she liked it. This is what motivated her not to give up.
The boat managed to make it down the rapids in the end. But right when they thought they were out of the woods, the boat was heading towards a waterfall. The imp did everything in his power to steer the boat away, but to no avail. The boat went right over the falls. As Vaggie screamed for her life, everything went black.
Vaggie woke up on the riverbank. To her surprise, the carton of half n half was gone. She panicked. She thought it was all over. That is, until she found a note, written in letters cut out of a magazine. It read, "If you want your half n half back, come back to Pride". Vaggie took a look at the address, and bizarrely noticed that the address was just across the street from the Hazbin Hotel.
