The Doctor and Amy were sitting on a cliff facing the beach with their backs leaning against the TARDIS doors. The Doctor was reading a book titled "All the Weird Animals in the Down Under," and Amy was just watching the sun set over the ocean horizon, the waves crashing onto the sandy beach. It was a picturesque scene. The warm glow of the sun shining on the pair, the cool breeze gently blowing across the grassy cliff side, and the ocean almost sparkling from the reflection of the sun.

Amy thought it looked magical, like something out of a storybook, or a painting. It seemed perfect how the colours both blended together but also stood out from one another. Amy tilted her head back, sighed and-

"What the hell is a platypus?" The Doctor exclaimed out of nowhere.

Amy opened her eyes and looked over at the Doctor very confused. The Doctor was holding his book up above his head, he looked at the pages in total bewilderment. He titled the book left and right trying to get a better look at the creature.

"What?" Amy asked, trying to understand what he just asked. Surely the Doctor knew what a platypus was, right? He was the Doctor after all.

"This!" The Doctor shouted. He held the book up to Amy, about two centimetres from her face. Amy recoiled slightly from the sudden movement.

"It's a platypus." She said bluntly. "Don't you know what that is?"

"Yes Amy, I know what a platypus," the Doctor said sarcastically. "That's why I'm making such a fuss." The Doctor pointed to the picture of a platypus. "It- it's got a beak?!" He jumped up and started pacing around the TARDIS. "And its tail! It's got a beaver's tail!"

"You're telling me-," Amy stood up and followed the Doctor. "-That you've never seen a platypus before?"

"I have no idea what platypuses are!" The Doctor replied.

"Platypi." Amy corrected. She was still trying to wrap her head around the idea that the Doctor, the man who seemed to be filled with endless knowledge, had no idea of this animal.

"Platy-what!?" The Doctor blurted out. "Like cacti?!"

"If you think that's weird, don't ask about its ankles." Amy joked. The Doctor looked at her confused and quickly read the rest of the page, using his finger as a guide. His eyes widened in shock as he finished the sentence.

"IT'S GOT POISON IN ITS ANKLES!?" He shouted. He looked up at Amy who started laughing at the absurdity of the situation. "Right, that does it." He said "Come on Amy, in the TARDIS!"

"Why?" Amy asked, having stopped laughing for a second.

"We're going to find a platypus!" The Doctor stated. He pointed his finger in the air exaggeratedly. He walked into the TARDIS and Amy followed behind him, laughing the whole time. The TARDIS dematerialised, fading away from the picturesque sunset scene.
