Hey, so I know I still have my other Fate story running, but I couldn't help myself. So here it is. A Fate/Danmachi story. I've been meaning to write this one a while ago, but I figured I'd do it after the season 4 anime ended.

So here we are!

First chapters aren't my forte, so it may seem a bit rushed in the first parts of the chapter. Which I will explain with an A/N at the end of this chapter.

So here we go!

XXXX

Heroes.

When people brought up the term 'heroes', they would think of legends and stories.

There were many of them, but the one that stood out to the people would be the story of the Argonaut.

Unlike the version of Pan-Human History, the version told in Gekai, the term Argonaut did not refer to the band of heroes that traversed Greece.

No, it referred to the fool that saved many in the past.

Yet, that same fool bore many similarities to multiple members of the Argonauts.

"So Bell, which story would you like to hear again?"

A young white haired boy beamed at his grandfather who had extended him that question, "The Argonauts!"

The old man chuckled, "Which one?"

Bell Cranel folded his arms, before he grinned, "All of them!"

His grandfather laughed, "That will take too long, how about we choose a hero from them, either we choose the version of the Fool, or we choose one of the heroes from the Greek version?"

The boy frowned, "Do I have to choose?"

The older man chuckled, "Yes, as mighty as I am, controlling time isn't my forte, that's my father's."

Bell pouted, "Mmmm... I guess the Fool and Heracles then."

His grandfather shook his head with a knowing smile, "Only one Bell, I get you love them, but only one."

The boy puffed his cheeks further, "... Heracles then."

The older man's smile widened, "Of course it will be Heracles."

Bell beamed, "Of course! He's my favourite hero!"

His grandfather laughed, "Glad to hear it!"

The older man walked to one of the shelves they had in the house, one that held many books that told of heroes from various ages.

All of which he had told to his grandson.

The grandfather pulled a book out, one of the few books that recorded the hero's heroic deeds.

This book recorded the first of the Twelve Labors of Heracles.

He glanced back at his grandson, "Let's do the one with the Nemean Lion this time, we went through the Hesperides and Cerberus last time, didn't we?"

Bell beamed, "Okay!"

The grandfather chuckled as he grabbed a chair, "Alright, ready?"

The young boy nodded giddily as he made himself comfortable, "Yep!"

The old man smiled at the boy's enthusiasm, no matter how many times he'd told the story, Bell was still excited to hear them.

He cleared his throat, "Okay then, so let us begin. Heracles was the son of a human woman and Zeus, the King of Olympus and God of the Sky and Lightning. Heracles was a strong young man, and his power garnered the envy of many lesser men..."

And so the grandfather recited the heroic tales of the greatest hero of Greece, Heracles, for what was probably the thousandth time, amongst many others.

A few months later, the grandfather stood before his grandson. It was late at night, and the boy had went to sleep blissfully after their nightly story telling sessions.

The old man smiled with affection as he watched over the young boy that bore the legacy of his Familia, as well as his wife's Familia.

Coincidentally, not many of Gekai knew of his relationship with Hera, and by not many, only the gods actually knew.

It was mostly due to neither acting the part, to which Zeus was more than happy for.

It gave him an excuse to chase after other women, much to Hera's exasperation.

Zeus stared at his grandson, the result of one of his children and one of Hera's.

Bell's father was not the strongest. In fact, he was probably one of the weakest member of their Familia, but everyone in the Zeus Familia treasured one another as brothers in all but blood.

Meteria, on the other hand, was a non-combatant, and one of the most well protected figures in Orario.

How he hooked up with Meteria, Zeus will never know, and he would have the god's eternal respect for that.

The god shook his head, bringing himself out of his musings, and instead, focused on his grandson.

Zeus glanced at the books that lined the shelves. Many of them, in fact, contained stories of heroes that did not exist in this world.

No, they existed in a different world, or rather, a different timeline all together.

Gekai and Tenkai existed separate from Pan-Human History, after all. It was why they were not pruned.

Of course, Zeus had included the tales of this world in his stories. The Fool version of the Argonaut was one of them, and so was Dungeon Oratoria.

All that led to something that bloomed in Bell's heart, for the young boy had come to adore those stories despite their flaws.

It had led Bell to desire to become a hero, and Zeus was sure that wish was now firmly planted in the young boy's heart.

Arcanum swirled in his fingers, and while forbidden, that was mostly only in Orario, no one would notice such a small amount of his powers being used in a village like the one he was in.

Of course, for a god such as Zeus, he had to be careful not to let it overflow. Just a tiny bit over would be enough to send him back to Tenkai, after all.

The old man gently pushed Bell to his side, careful to not wake the young boy, and held his fingers at his back.

The divine powers of the god flowed into the young boy's back, but Zeus did not grant Bell a Falna.

No, what he granted his grandson was so much more, and he relied on his connection to Pan-Human History to accomplish this.

After a few minutes, the god cut of his powers, nodding in satisfaction as he turned to head to sleep himself.

There was so much more to do, to prepare.

A few years later, Bell Cranel walked the gates that led into the Labyrinth City Orario.

He grinned as he walked along the streets, taking in the sights of the massive city.

But that excitement quickly came to an end, for despite being registered as an adventurer, the young man found himself facing a dilemma.

None of the Familias were willing to take him in.

Absolutely none of them. And as the kind elf lady at the guild had told him, he couldn't enter the dungeon without a Falna, which you could only get by joining a Familia.

Without a Familia, the lady had refused to provide him with anything more than the standard issue armor, no weapons at all.

That led to the young man squatting in an alley, hugging his knees to his chest, "What do I do?"

He had money, but even then that was barely enough to last him a few days.

Bell sighed, "What would heroes do in this situation?"

His back grew warm, and the white haired boy shook his head, "No no no! I can't let this set me back! I need information!"

That was right, heroes like Odysseus or Leonidas never let themselves fall because of overwhelming situations, they took what they could and made the best out of it.

This certainly wasn't the worst for Bell.

The young man jumped to his feet with surprising amount of force, and he ran out into the streets, determined to look for a Familia.

Unknown to the young man, his jump had left a sizable and rather deep footprint on the otherwise solid concrete of the wall and ground.

A short moment later, Bell found himself standing inside a basement of an abandoned church.

The white haired boy blinked, "Uhmm, Kami-sama, is this the place?"

A busty girl with lush black hair tied in twin tails turned to him and nodded, "Yep!"

Bell smiled awkwardly, "I see..."

Hestia pouted, "You're judging, aren't you?"

The white haired boy panicked, "Nonono! Of course not!"

The goddess sighed, "Well, I guess I didn't really tell you everything when I said you'd be my first Familia member."

She gestured to the sole bed in the small basement, "Lie down on the bed, and take your shirt off."

Bell blinked, "Come again?"

Hestia's face flushed, "To give you a Falna! Okay?! Nothing else!"

The white haired boy blinked, before he realized what he had insinuated, his face burning, "S-sorry!"

The goddess sighed, "Just... hurry up."

Bell silently nodded and got on the bed, taking off his shirt as he laid on the bed face down.

Hestia hummed as she got on the bed, biting her thumb as she stared at Bell's now bare back, "Okay, here I go."

The goddess pulled her hand away from her mouth, her thumb now covered with blood, and she let a single drop of blood fall onto Bell's back.

As soon as it did, Hestia extended her Arcanum towards the drop of blood, and by extension, Bell's body and soul.

The moment she did, the goddess' eyes widened, for she felt something else in the boy's soul.

Something distinct, familiar but not something she could really identify.

But that feeling vanished as soon as she felt it, and Hestia felt the connection form between her and her new Child.

The mark of a Falna quickly formed itself on Bell's back, and Hestia smiled, "It's done."

Bell gasped with joy, "Really?!"

Hestia nodded, "Yes, now hold on, I'll copy it down for you."

She grabbed a blank sheet of paper and burned the scribings of the Falna onto the sheet, but only after she burned it, did she notice something off about the status sheet.

STR: I0
END: I0
DEX: I0
AGI: I0
MAG: I0

Skills: [Blank]
Magic: [Blank]

The status was as she expected. Anyone receiving a Falna for the first time wouldn't possess any indication of their strength,

Contrary to belief, the Falna system only showed how much they growed, rather than really show how strong they were.

What confused Hestia, however, was the [Blank] for both his skills and magic. It wasn't supposed to have anything, yet it looked like Bell was supposed to have something in those slots, but had them erased or hidden.

Bell's voice tore her from her musings, "Kami-sama? Are you done?"

Hestia blinked, and she quickly backed away from Bell, "Y-yeah, I'm done. You can have a look."

Bell bounced to his feet, and excitedly turned to the goddess, "Lemme see!"

The goddess smiled in exasperation as she handed him the sheet, "Don't be disappointed though, you just got your Falna, so it won't show anything. Give it some time, and you'll see more."

Bell nodded, "Got it!"

Hestia grinned, "Good to hear!"

The white haired boy quickly put on his shirt, grabbing his guild-issued outfit, "I'll be off then!"

The goddess blinked, "Wait, where are you going?"

Bell grinned as he turned to glance at her as he reached the door, "The dungeon of course!"

Hestia blinked, "Eh?"

Before she realized it, Bell was already gone, "W-wait! Bell!"

A short while later, Bell stood in front of the same half-elf that had insisted he join a Familia first.

The young man smiled, "Eina-san! I got into a Familia!"

The bespectacled woman smiled, "Oh, which one did you join?"

Bell grinned, "The Hestia Familia!"

Eina blinked, "Hestia...?"

The young man nodded, "Yep!"

The half-elf frowned, as she quickly flipped through her register of known Familias, "I don't remember seeing that name though..."

Bell nodded, "Yeah, cuz I'm the first member."

Eina froze, "First member, you say?"

Those words prompted everyone to stare at them, whispers filling the guild.

The woman sighed, and she stood up with her book, "Come with me please."

Bell blinked, "Huh?"

Eina stared at her, not a shred of kindness present in her eyes, "Now."

The white haired rabbit yelped, "O-okay!"

After a short walk, the pair reached a small meeting room, and Eina sat down at the table, "Sit."

Bell nodded meekly and took a seat, and the half-elf swiftly flipped through the pages until she found what she wanted.

Eina nodded, "Hestia, a goddess who only put in her name for the Familia registrar a few weeks ago, yet she did not register a single member."

She looked at him worriedly, "Are you sure you'll be okay with that? I'm sure there are better Familias."

Bell looked down, "Well, no one really wanted to take me in..."

Eina's eyes softened, "I see..."

The white haired boy smiled, "Well, it's not as bad as it seems, Hestia-sama is the goddess of the hearth and flames after all! I'm sure it'll turn out fine!"

The woman sighed, "If you're sure, I suppose."

She snapped the book shut, "Alright, you did get a Familia, so I suppose we can get you some equipment. Come with me."

The two went for a short walk, and they reached the storage room of the guild.

Eina gestured around them, "This is the guild's store room, we keep standard issue equipment for new adventurers. Though I say standard issue, they're pretty much only good enough to keep you going for the first two floors of the dungeon."

Bell oh'd, "I see..."

The half-elf nodded, "By the time people reach the third floor onwards, they'd have enough fundings to get better equipment, which isn't saying a lot to be honest."

Eina nodded as she took out some arm and leg guards, "Alright, I'll let you choose your own weapon, okay?"

Bell nodded as he turned to the racks of weapons, "Thank you, Eina-san."

The woman smiled, "So which one are you gonna go for?"

The white haired boy folded his arms, not giving her an answer, but instead went deep into his own musings, 'Grandpa's trained to use pretty much everything here... But I guess the one that fits me best is...'

He reached for a single battle knife on the rack, studying it thoroughly.

Eina blinked, "A knife? Are you sure?"

Bell nodded, "Yes, I know how to use a sword or bow, but a knife fits me best. Maybe I'll try using a sword in the dungeon once I've gotten a feel for it, but this is what I want for now."

The half-elf blinked, "Oh..."

The white haired boy turned to her, "Sorry, did I say something wrong?"

Eina shook her head, "No, it's just... That didn't sound like someone who's never been into the dungeon before."

Bell chuckled, "Well, my grandfather's taught me how to use a few weapons I guess."

The half-elf smiled, "I see, he must be a great person."

The white haired boy's smile dropped slightly, "Y-yeah, I guess."

Bell shook his head, "Anyway, I've got my weapon and armor, so I'll just head off to the dungeon now, okay?"

Eina went to stand between him and the door, "Not yet you're not. Since we're here, I might as well brief you on what you need to know."

The white haired boy blinked, "Huh?"

(Linebreak)

A few days later, Bell was dashing through the first three floors of the dungeon.

The first two floors generally only had goblins and kobolds, which weren't too hard to kill.

The young boy had quickly tore through them like paper, for what were goblins and kobolds in the face of a hero that Bell aspired to be?

Heroes the like of Achilles, Heracles and Cu Chulainn would tear through them like nothing, and so Bell swore he must do the same.

Thus he did, even as he was faced with Dungeon Lizards, he did not flinch and took them on firmly.

Before Bell realized it, he had reached the end of the fourth floor.

The white haired boy blinked, "I'm at the end of the fourth floor..."

5 days, that was all it took for him to reach the fourth floor on his own.

The young boy grinned, "Alright, guess I can probably take a peek."

Before he could however, a growl reached his ears, just as he felt a rumble from his stomach.

Bell stopped, "I guess I should take a short break... Hunger is the enemy."

For some reason, his back grew warm when those words left his lips, and he felt a surge of energy run through him.

But it vanished as soon as it appeared, so much that Bell brushed it off as he reached for the small lunch box he had obtained earlier during the day.

Bell sighed, "Can't believe I let myself get roped into that..."

He had had the pleasure of meeting Syr Flova, a waitress from the Hostess of Fertility.

The waitress had managed to trick him into promising to pay their restaurant a visit at night, in exchange for her lunch box.

The white haired boy sighed as he shoved the food into his mouth, grimacing at the lack of flavor and hardness of the food.

After a few minutes, Bell finished the food, and he quickly descended into the fifth floor.

As he walked through the otherwise empty corridor of the floor, Bell heard a roar.

Or rather, what sounded like a mix of a cow's moo and a roar.

Bell turned, and he found himself met with the sight of a minatour charging at him.

The white haired boy tensed, his mind racing towards the hero he knew had slain one.

Theseus. The hero who had managed to kill a minatour, either with his bare hands or with a sword.

His back grew warm, a surge of power filling his body, and Bell got ready to dash forward.

At least, he would have, had the beast not let out a loud roar as it charged towards the Level 1 adventurer.

The roar, coupled with its intimidating charge, caused the young boy to freeze in place as fear seeped into his mind.

At that same moment, the surge of power and the warm feeling on his back vanished, as all thoughts of Theseus vanished from his mind.

That was it. That was the end.

Those were the thoughts that ran through Bell's mind.

Until he caught of glimpse of metal.

And the minatour fell to the ground, as blood splattered all over Bell's figure.

In the place of the beast was a blonde girl, brandishing her sword to flick the blood off of her blade.

The girl let out a breath, "Are you okay?"

Bell blinked, and he shook out of his stupor, "Y-yes."

The blonde nodded as she sheathed her sword, "Good. I do apologize though, we let a minatour slip away."

The white haired boy nodded, "I-I see, thank you very much for your help... Uhmm..."

The boy trailed off, to which the blonde tilted her head in confusion, "Hmm?"

Bell scratched the back of his head, unknowingly staining it with more blood, "Sorry, I don't know your name."

The girl oh'd, "Ais."

The boy nodded, "Yes, thank you for saving me, Ais-san."

Ais nodded, "Don't worry about it."

The blonde turned, "Are you alright to head back to the surface on your own?"

Bell nodded, "Y-yes."

Ais nodded, "Good. The floor should be safe now though, we've cleared out almost everything already."

With that said, the blonde disappeared further down into the dungeon, leaving Bell alone.

The white haired boy slumped back onto the ground, before getting up and leaving the dungeon silently.

Later that evening, Bell had gotten an earful from Eina after she had gotten over her initial shock that a minatour had appeared on the fifth floor.

He had, of course, cleaned up, and had asked the half-elf about the blonde who had saved him.

Bell walked along the streets, his mind focused on the exact moment Ais had killed the beast.

He couldn't see her sword move at all, nor did he even notice her arrival.

A single strike, that was all it took for her to defeat the minotaur, while he froze in fear the moment the beast charged at him.

Bell wrecked his brain trying to figure out how he'd reach that level.

Or at least, he mulled over it until he reached his destination.

The young boy was torn out of his musings when he found himself staring at the doors of a tavern, the Host of Fertility.

Bell sighed as he pushed the doors open, and he found himself staring at the minx of a girl that had roped him into coming.

Syr smiled, "Ah, you came! Come in! I have a seat ready for you!"

The white haired boy smiled in exasperation, "Sure."

The pair walked into the already busy bar, and Syr showed Bell his seat at the counter.

Mia Grand, the owner of the establishment grinned when she saw Syr and Bell, "Oh, so you're Syr's friend, eh?"

Bell decided to just go with the flow, "Yes."

Soon, the young man found himself face to face with a massive bowl of pasta and an equally large plate of fish.

Mia grinned, "There we go! Today's special set!"

The white haired boy made a complicated expression, "I haven't even ordered yet though?"

The dwarf laughed, "Syr already put them in for you! So just eat up!"

With that said, Mia turned away to return to work, leaving Bell alone to eat.

The white haired boy sighed, deciding to just suck it up to his bad luck and enjoy the food.

As he ate solemnly, Syr's voice reached his ears, "Enjoying yourself?"

Bell turned to look at the grey haired girl's smiling face, "Sure, let's go with that."

Apparently the young boy didn't really hide his true feelings too well, as the girl giggled, "Sorry, I just couldn't help it okay? Look, on the bright side, I'll be able to look forward to tonight's pay!"

Bell sighed, "Good for you I guess."

The door opened again, grabbing his attention, only to notice a group of people walking in, a red haired girl leading them.

Yet the moment he laid his eyes on the girl, he knew that she was a goddess. The redhead practically radiated divinity, regardless of how little it may be.

Syr followed his line of sight, and she smiled, "Ah, the Loki Familia, they're some of our regulars here."

Bell nodded as he spotted Ais with them, "Is that so?"

The grey haired girl nodded, "Yep, anyway, I'd like to talk to you more, but I do have to serve the other customers or Mama Mia will be mad at me."

With that said, Syr turned away to tend to the other customers, leaving Bell to eat in peace and silence.

That is, until he heard a loud yell, "Hey Ais! How about we tell the others about that one?!"

Bell turned to sneak a glance at their table, spotting Ais' slightly frowning expression.

The yell came from a white haired werewolf, Bete Loga, having drank a few pints.

Ais let out a breath, "Enough, Bete."

Bete smirked, "What do you mean enough? Everyone should know just how bad he did! He froze in front of the minatour!"

Riveria frowned, "Quiet down, Bete."

The werewolf snorted, "Shut it hag! You should've seen what happened when Ais killed the minatour! The wimp got himself drenched in blood like a tomato!"

Bete continued his drunken rant, much to the discomfort of his teammates.

Until Bell had enough.

The young man looked up, where he found Mia staring at the Loki Familia's table with a distasteful look, "Mia-san?"

The dwarf turned when she heard him, "Hmm, what's up, young man?"

Bell placed a small pouch of valis on the table, "How much do I owe you?"

Mia raised an eyebrow, "Hmm? You're not even half way done. You wanna pay now?"

The boy brought out a pouch of valis, "The food's very delicious, but I just lost my appetite. Sorry."

The dwarf glanced back at Bete, and she connected the dots, "Don't worry about the bill, it's on the house."

Her words seemed to spark something in him, and Mia couldn't tell if she liked it or not.

But before she could make a decision, Bell placed a pouch of valis on the table, "No, I can't do that. I'm not sure the exact amount I owe, but I'll drop by tomorrow if I owe any more."

With that said, he silent left the bar in a hurry, careful not to let his frustration show. Yet despite his attempt, he was not unnoticed by Ais and Syr.

That night, Bell didn't return to his basement in Hestia's church.

(Linebreak)

A few days later, Bell walked along the streets.

The young man sighed, 'Hestia-sama said she'd be away for a few days... I have been saving up here and there for the past few days... Should I take the day off?'

Before he could head towards the dungeon, however, a familiar voice reached his ears.

"Hey white hair!"

Bell paused, glancing around until he found himself staring at the entrance of the Host of Fertility, or rather, the waitress standing at the door.

The white haired boy recognized her from when he visited the pub again after the first time he went, thankfully not bumping into any members of the Loki Familia again.

Bell turned and approached her, "Good day, Anya-san."

Anya grinned, "Oho, so you remember mew name."

The boy chuckled, "Of course, it'd be rude not to."

The werecat nodded, "Hmm, myakes sense."

She shook her head, "Anyway, I nyeed ya to hand this to that dummy Syr!"

Anya shoved a purse into Bell's hands, much to his confusion, "I beg your pardon?"

"Anya, you're confusing him."

The two turned to see a green haired elf walking out holding a bunch of dishes.

Anya snorted, "Hehe that's where you're wrong, Ryuu. Mew is sure he understands that I want him to bring the purse to Syr at Monsterphillia!"

Ryuu sighed, "That would be the case, Cranel-san. If you could bring Syr her purse, we would be grateful for that."

Bell nodded, "I don't mind really, I was just thinking of taking a break today."

The catgirl grinned, "Great!"

The white haired boy chuckled, "Well, I just have a small question."

The two girls looked at him in confusion, "Yes?"

"What is this Monsterphillia?"

A short moment later, Bell walked with the crowd towards the Amphitheatron, where the festival was being held.

The white rabbit glanced around in awe, "Wow... There really is a lot of people around!"

As he walked around, Bell felt as if someone was watching him, and he turned to look around for the source of discomfort, "Huh?"

The white haired boy decided to brush it off and just continue searching for the waitress.

After fifteen minutes of searching for Syr, to no avail, Bell sighed as he sat down on a bench outside the Amphitheatron, "What was I thinking? Looking for Syr in a place like this would take ages!"

Before he could continue his line of thought however, he heard the sound of someone crying.

The young boy blinked as he turned to the source, only to find a young girl crying.

Bell quickly approached her, getting down to a knee as he asked, "Hey, what's wrong?"

The girl sobbed as she answered, "I... I can't find my mom."

The white haired boy blinked, "O-oh, that's not good... Do you remember where you last saw her?"

The girl just continued crying, "I d-don't know."

Bell scratched his neck, "Uhmm, okay, how about this, I'll look for your mom with you! I lost my friend too, so if we look together, we can find them!"

The girl sobbed, "R-really?"

The white haired boy smiled, "Yep! So try to stop crying, we won't be able to find them if you keep crying."

She sniffled, "O-okay..."

Bell smiled, "Okay? Now, let's go."

He held out a hand, and the girl grabbed onto it softly.

Soon, the two walked around the Amphitheatron, and the girl asked, "Mister, how did you lose your friend?"

Bell chuckled, "Well, she wanted to look around, and we got separated I guess."

The girl blinked, and she smiled, "Oh, just like me then!"

The boy smiled and nodded, "Yep, so if we work together, we can find both your mom and my friend."

The younger girl just beamed and nodded, "Mmm!"

The two continued to walk around, until they heard a giant explosion followed by a scream.

Bell furrowed his eyebrows, "What's going on?"

As if on cue, they all felt the ground rumble, and they saw it.

A giant beast that looked like a white gorilla hanging on the ceiling of one of the hallways of the Amphitheatron, a silverback.

The monster laid its eyes on Bell and the girl, and it growled, much to Bell's horror, "Oh shit."

The gorilla monster pounced, and Bell barely had time to scoop the girl into his arms before he dashed away.

As soon as he did, the silverback gave chase, and the girl yelped when Bell made a sudden turn into an alley, "Mister, I'm scared!"

Bell grunted as he dashed out of the alley onto a street, spotting the silverback closing in on them, before quickly turning into a different street, "Don't worry, I'm actually an adventurer. We'll be fine!"

The young girl nodded, only for her face to turn pale when she spotted the silverback grabbing a bunch of crates from one of the stalls nearby, "Mister, behind you!"

Bell turned, but he was too late, for the crates smashed into him, sending him and the young girl sprawling to the ground.

The young man groaned as he got to his feet, the heavy crates had hit him in the head.

Yet, he managed to barely regain his bearings, spotting the silverback stalking towards them.

Bell's eyes darted around, only to see almost, if not everyone hiding inside the buildings.

His eyes darted back towards the silverback. He knew what it was.

A silverback was a monster that lived on the middle floors. Bell barely even scrapped past the upper floors.

He couldn't possibly win alone against this beast.

But for some reason, Bell couldn't find himself running. Especially not now when the beast was so close, not when he couldn't possibly grab the girl and run.

He needed to protect her, and he hoped the girl would be smart enough to run away the moment he started to fight.

Bell trembled as he saw the giant beast stalking towards him. It reminded him way too much of the minatour on the fifth floor.

But this time, he didn't feel like running away. He was scared, but not frozen in fear.

The only thing on his mind was to keep the little girl behind him safe, despite only having met her in the last hour.

"So you want to save her?"

Bell froze, as those words rang in his mind. It wasn't a voice, but those words rang within him, as if questioning his motives.

The young boy didn't answer verbally or mentally, but those words continued, as if reading his soul.

"So you wish to save a girl, one you don't even know. You can just run and lead the monster away, but you'd rather stay here and fight it, just because there's a chance it might target her."

Bell gripped the handle of his knife, pushing aside that presence he felt in his mind, yet all it did was earn its amusement.

"Ignoring us, are you? You would focus on the current situation. Not bad. Then let us begin, hence forth, the seal shall be gone."

The silverback was almost upon him, yet Bell stiffened as he felt his back burn.

His lips moved, almost unconsciously, "I am thou... Thou art I..."

"Thou hast acquired a new vow..."

Mana poured out of Bell's body, one that the silverback easily recognized, for it pounced.

Yet, despite chanting, Bell moved, dodging the swipe. But not once did he stop chanting.

"Thy body shall serve under mine will! And mine fate shall be thy sword!"

The silverback swiped again, but Bell slid under it, quickly getting to his feet once he got behind the beast.

The beast roared and charged him again, but Bell didn't stop moving, nor did he stop chanting.

"Let an oath be sworn here! I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven! I shall dispose of all evil of Hell!"

The silverback swiped at him again, and Bell was forced to block the swipe with his dagger, the blade quickly cracking under the force of the beast.

Bell grunted in pain, but continued to chant, "If thou dost accede to this will and reason, then come forth from the rings of restraint, o' Protector of the Balances!"

The young boy felt power surge into his body, focused on his back, and he gave one last roar, "LOAD: HERACLES!"

As soon as those words left his mouth, a large surge of energy exploded from Bell's body, blasting the silverback away onto the ground.

At the same time, every god in Orario felt it. Divine power.

It wasn't the same as their own, it wasn't Arcanum, but the divine properties the power held was undeniable.

It was foreign, yet not. And it was something gods that hailed from the Greek Pantheon all easily recognized.

For whilst only being a small part, what Greek god would not recognize the greatest hero of Greece?

Except there was one extra detail that none of them could ignore.

The power they felt did not belong to this world, not Tenkai, and certainly not Gekai.

Back with Bell, the space around him seemed distorted, as energy radiated off of his body so much that an almost invisble aura could be seen.

But that wasn't what the young boy was focused on. Instead, he was more caught up with something else.

As soon as he had spoken the name of what was arguably his favorite hero, images flashed before his eyes.

Bell, being the hero fanatic that he was, easily recognized them, for he had heard of those stories countless times.

But before he could ponder more on what it meant, the silverback's growl pulled him back into the present.

For some reason, the beast did not seem so threatening now. Despite its size and appearance, Bell did not felt frightened at all.

The white haired rabbit took a deep breath, and he moved.

In the blink of an eye, Bell found himself above the silverback, and he kicked.

The monster was quickly sent crashing into a wall, much to his surprise.

Bell looked around, and he spotted the young girl some distance away, staring at him in awe.

The white haired rabbit smiled, "Don't worry, it'll be over soon."

He turned to the silverback once more, as it managed to get back to its feet, but that was the last time Bell would let it do so.

Raising his right arm up, Bell took a deep breath.

In a bright white flash, a giant axe-sword made of rock appeared in his hand, much to the surprise of every bystander watching.

"Set: Nine Lives."

So that's the first chapter!

Yes, it is a story where Bell inherits the powers of heroes from the Throne. He won't be getting Liaris Freese, a different skill will take that place.

This idea actually came about when I read about the Argonaut skill, which Bell can only use when he thinks of a hero. So I thought, what if he thinks of a hero, and he can actually use that hero's powers?

Being the massive Fate fan that I am, I couldn't not do a story like this, especially with Danmachi being a myth-heavy series on its own.

I am not sure if I will have him summon any Servants at the moment, if at all. But he will have to earn access to each hero one by one, so don't expect him to become overpowered suddenly.

Heracles' powers, will of course have some restrictions on it, and what Bell used here is the Berserker variant.

More will be explained in the future chapters. So do read on.

But for now, here is the full chant of his 'summoning', or more accurately, contracting magic, which I call: Desire for the Throne.

I am thou... Thou art I...

Thou hast acquired a new vow...

Thy body shall serve under mine will! And mine fate shall be thy sword!

Let an oath be sworn here! I shall attain all virtues of all of Heaven! I shall dispose of all evil of Hell!

If thou dost accede to this will and reason, then come forth from the rings of restraint, o' Protector of the Balances!

Load: [Blank]

That will be the base contract chant. So far I have plans to include Emiya, Atalante and Cu Chulainn. Those are only for season 1.

So yeah, read and review please.

Until next time.
