It was a beautiful day, as William decided to take off for the rest of day, and take a trip to the park with Susannah.
As he got home, Susannah was still napping, as he let Bethany off for the afternoon with full day pay.
He got a quick picnic ready along with her blanket, and toys and placed them in the pram, when he heard Susannah had woken up.
As he walks into the nursery, he sees her sitting up with a smile on her face, "there's daddy's girl, come here" as he reaches for her, "mama is working still so just me and you are going to the park"
She coos happily as he places her on the changing table, "that sounds like a yes"
They get to the park, and it was busier than usual for a Friday, but didn't care, as he finds a perfect spot under a tree with shade and locks the pram wheels.
He places the blanket on the ground, along with the picnic basket, his jacket and hat.
"Come here, my darling" as takes Susannah out of the pram and places her on the blanket.
He turns his back to open up the basket, when he sees her crawling away, as a boy on a tricycle almost hits her, "Susannah!"
As he runs over, picks her up and checks to see is she was hurt.
"I'm sorry, mister. I'm still learning to ride the tricycle"
"It's ok, she is just learning to crawl"
When the boy's mother runs over to him, "Robbie! Oh my boy, are you ok. Did the baby hurt you?"
He pushes her away, "I'm fine mother, it was my fault. She's fast on her crawling"
The women looks at William and Susannah, "either you put that baby on a leash, or have her mother or nanny bring her to the park. A father never does such a thing" she says with a snooty voice as she pulls Robbie away, "again, I'm sorry sir" he says back
William looks at Susannah, who was gabbing away, "not a leash, but a baby tether, doesn't sound that bad"
