After the case was finished and Julia, still away, William decided to spend time with Susannah, and take her on a small camping trip.

He needed to pick an area that was not too far from home.

He took out a map, and asked Susannah to point to a spot.

"Here" she said pointing to a spot, along the banks of the Don River. Which was an excellent spot, for a quick trip, so he packed up, 2 bags, of the essentials, a picnic basket full of food and a tent.

Once they arrived, he set up a tent with Susannah's assistance, before starting a fire.

As he got some sticks, and wood for the fire, Susannah asked, "I help, too daddy?"

He shook his head, "no, sweetheart, hot, too hot. Hurt yourself"

She understood and nodded, as she took a couple of steps back.

Once the fire was set up, he asked her, "want to fish?"

She nodded, and shouted "yes"

They go down to the river, and he teaches her how to fish, which she does very well, as she catches a small fish.

She squeals, "I got one! Look daddy!"

"Yes, sweetheart, very good. But, it's a baby fish, so we have to let it go"

"Ok, daddy"

He lets the fish off the hook and gentle places back in the river, as it takes off.

They try again, for a few more minutes and caught a couple more fish, some were let go, but they kept 2 to eat for dinner.

As night fell, Susannah began yawning, and said, "daddy, I tired"

"Ok, sweetheart." As he put out the fire, and helped her into her sleeping bag.

"Daddy, story?"

"Yes, I brought your favorite book." As he grabs her teddy bear and Wizard of Oz book

"Here they are" he said as she reaches for her teddy bear and snuggles it

He lays beside her and begins reading for a few minutes, as she falls asleep.

As she sleeps, he checks the time, it was only 8:00, and decides to read a science journal he had brought.

He reads the journal for a few minutes before falling asleep as well.

The next morning, they enjoy a breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast, before going on a hike.

For the rest of the day, they enjoyed swimming in the river, playing games, fishing and telling stories.
