Volume II: The White Rabbit
Note: This will be the eleventh chapter of Volume II, this will introduce the White Rabbit as the main villain of the chapter along with supporting villains such as the Walrus and Panda-Mania as they part of her gang. Spider-Man will face three supervillains by himself without the help of his partner Ghost-Spider who reluctantly gave up her hero life for her father. This chapter will also bring conflicts between Harry and Peter as the former will soon be shocked by the betrayal between Peter and Mary Jane.
It's November 21st, in Atlantic City in a casino, a lot of people are enjoying the games and gambling their money, everyone is happy until the entrance got busted open, a strawberry blonde woman dressed in white makeup and appears to look like a white rabbit has made an entrance, she carries an umbrella in her hand.
"Nobody move, get on the ground, this is robbery!" White Rabbit threatens the casino patrons.
The casino manager walks past the patrons and checks who's causing this ruckus, only to find a woman dressed like a rabbit.
"Who the hell are you?!"
"Name's White Rabbit, a pleasure." White Rabbit introduced herself.
"I don't give a damn who you are, get the hell out of my casino!"
"Hmm? No." White Rabbit remained calm and confident.
"Then we'll make you leave, guards!"
The manager calls out building security with weapons such as pistols and batons as the White Rabbit is outnumbered and outgunned.
"So you have friends, well so have I." White Rabbit smiles mischievously.
The other doors have been broken down as two more supervillains have made an entrance, one is a woman dressed in a white and black hoodie resembling a panda, the other is a fat man dressed like a walrus.
"What the hell? Get them!"
The casino security all rushed towards the three villains as Panda-Mania jumped high to avoid the bullets, she dropped kick one of the security forces, she then side kick the one on her left. Walrus stepped in as he's ready to fight.
"Walrus, coming through!!!" Walrus charged in at them.
The men all got tackled hard by the Walrus as they're way out of their league. The manager is watching as his men are getting bested by the supervillains. He steps back as he's making his retreat until White Rabbit uses her hi tech boots to make a high jump over her teammates and made it across to stop him from escaping by pointing her umbrella at his leg.
"Where do you think you're going?" White Rabbit says to the manager.
White Rabbit shot the manager in the leg, injuring him as he cried out in pain. The umbrella can shoot out bullets as it's also a gun.
"There! That should stop you from rabbiting." White Rabbit says to the manager.
Panda-Mania giggle and laughed. "Rabbiting, that's a good one!"
"Thanks, now to hit the vault. Follow me!" White Rabbit leads her team.
White Rabbit and her posse approached the cash out booth as they find the vault inside.
"Walrus, care to do the honors?" White Rabbit asking Walrus.
Walrus steps forward and grabbed the vault door with his two hands, he uses all his strength to pull harder and ripped the door off its hinges, he tossed it aside without any difficulty. They all enter the vault to see all the money stored inside.
"Looks like we've hit the jackpot! Take what you can carry!" White Rabbit tells her team.
Pania-Mania and Walrus all got to work collecting all the money from the vault and stuffing them into duffel bags.
Later after they've finished, White Rabbit and her crew are all walking out of the casino as the patrons are too scared to stop them. White Rabbit stopped and turns around to look back at the patrons.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I apologize for ruining your night of fun. Me and friends just got incredibly lucky tonight. And now we make our leave, thank you and enjoy your night!" White Rabbit says her goodbyes.
White Rabbit and her crew walked out of the casino with all the money from the robbery.
The next day, Peter and May just returned home with bags after a day of grocery shopping for food and ingredients for Thanksgiving dinner.
"What a day, did we get everything we needed?" May asking Peter.
"I think so, we've got the ciders, buttermilk biscuit mix, mashed potatoes and gravy mix, and the ingredients for the stuffings." Peter checks the bags.
"Did you get the cranberries?" May asking Peter.
"Oh!!! Shoot, I forgot the cranberries, my bad." Peter is shocked that he forgot the cranberries.
"Don't worry, it happens sometimes. At least we've got the turkey to thaw out." May says to Peter.
"Nice, though I'm not sure if anyone will be coming to our home to celebrate." Peter has some doubts about Thanksgiving.
"Is this about the Stacys? Have you heard from George?" May is curious about George and Gwen.
"Still no word, I think that he's still upset with me for keeping Gwen's secret of being Ghost-Spider from him." Peter suspects George's reasons for avoiding him.
"He trusted you and you kept this from him." May says to Peter.
"I know, but it's not my secret to give. Besides, that's not the worst of it, Gwen hasn't been active since her dad forbade her from being Ghost-Spider and took away her costume. I'm pretty much doing superhero work all on my own these days." Peter says to May.
"Peter, I'm sorry that's been hard on you. But try to understand from George's point of view, he's a concerned father who already lost his wife, he's afraid to lose his daughter too. With this life we all live in, can we blame him?" May says to Peter.
"I'm guessing that you feel the same way about me." Peter says to May.
"I still do, everyday. Believe it or not, I understand George perfectly. We always worry for those we love, always." May says to Peter.
Peter remains quiet as he's now without a girlfriend or a partner, he pretty much has to be Spider-Man most of the time since Gwen can't go out as Ghost-Spider anymore and he doesn't have time for relationships with any girl.
"I guess that leaves us the Watsons to celebrate Thanksgiving with, it'll be nice to have them over." May says to Peter.
"Yeah... sure would be." Peter is unsure of himself.
Peter is still dealing with another issue, his relationship with his best friend and neighbor Mary Jane, he has talked with Mary Jane since that day after stopping Venom. He and MJ agreed never to talk about it again and to forget it ever happened. He still feels guilty for keeping it from Harry Osborn who was MJ's boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend Gwen who also doesn't know either.
"I should get going." Peter is about to leave the house.
"Where are you going?" May asking Peter.
"With no Ghost-Spider around, someone still needs to keep the city safe. I'll be back later at night, maybe more later." Peter so walking out.
"Peter! If you got the time, bring me a can of cranberries!!!" May reminded Peter of the cranberries.
"Will do!!! Bye!!!" Peter walked out the door.
May can't help but worry for Peter since he had to take on a heavy burden all by himself since Gwen isn't around to help him anymore.
Somewhere in the interstate of New Jersey and New York, an RV has parked by a burger place. Inside the RV, Walrus is chowing down on his hamburger and Panda-Mania is drinking her liter of soda, the RV is packed full of money from the previous robberies they've committed. White Rabbit is laying on the bed reading her copy of 'Alice in Wonderland.'
"We're quite the crew, we've made more money robbing casinos and banks in the past few weeks!" Panda-Mania tossed the money in the air.
"It's all great, but lately it's beginning to feel less... fun." White Rabbit felt bored by everything.
Walrus chows and chews. "What do you mean?"
"Money is good, but all we've done is rip off casinos and banks without any difficulties. We need a really challenge to spice things up, make things very interesting, more fun." White Rabbit wants a thrilling adventure.
"Well... I shouldn't be telling you this, but if you want to have a challenge, I have just the thing." Panda-Mania shows White Rabbit the paper.
White Rabbit looks at a issue of the Daily Bugle, 'Spider-Man thwarted bank robbery again.' White Rabbit's eyes glittered with excitement as she found a real adventure to pursue.
"This is it! This is the adventure I'm looking for!" White Rabbit smiled with excitement.
"What? This Spider-Boy?" Walrus is being clueless.
"Exactly, we've managed to make something of ourselves as a team, now all we need to prove to the entire villain community that we are worthy, and this Spider-Man is the key." White Rabbit explained to her crew.
"From what I've heard about him, he's not exactly easy prey. He's taken down some of the baddest villains there is, not to mention that he's got a partner now fighting beside him." Panda-Mania says to White Rabbit.
"Come on! This is our chance to prove to everyone that we're the baddest of the bad. Are you with me or not?" White Rabbit persuading her crew.
"Well... I guess it never hurt to pass up a chance of a lifetime. I'm with you, boss!" Walrus agrees with White Rabbit.
"Excellent, and you, Panda-Mania?" White Rabbit asking Panda-Mania.
Panda-Mania rolled her eyes and smiled. "Okay, I'm in too."
"Perfect, next stop, New York City!" White Rabbit says out loud their destination.
It's nighttime in the city as Spider-Man is sitting on the ledge next to a gargoyle statue looking at the city and talking.
"It's been a week since Gwen gave up the Ghost-Spider suit and stopped being a hero. I had to work even more harder than ever before trying to keep the peace all by myself without her help. It hasn't been easy for me, not to mention that I'm still dealing with the guilt of kissing MJ, even though she and Harry already broke up. I still haven't told Gwen the truth of what happened that night. Man, now I'm even more confused than ever, I still have feelings for Gwen and now I'm developing new feelings for MJ that I've never felt before. What should I do, Bruce?" Spider-Man asking the gargoyle statue.
Spider-Man named the statue Bruce and ends up talking to it even though the statue can't talk back.
"Yeah, that's what I thought. Somethings are best left unsaid. At least I have you to listen to my problems. Thanks Bruce, good talk!" Spider-Man talking to the statue.
Spider-Man gets up on his feet and his phone is ringing, he pulls it out and sees that his best friend Harry is calling him.
"Harry? Wonder what he wants." Spider-Man answered the call. "Hey Buddy, what's up?"
"Hey Pete, are you busy tonight?" Harry asking Peter.
"I'm in the city wondering around hoping to take photos, but I might have some time to spare." Spider-Man informs Harry.
"That's great, I'm in the city too. Can we meet up at the Coffee Bean, I need a friend to talk with, please Pete." Harry asking Peter.
"I should be there in 30 minutes." Spider-Man informs Harry.
"Great, I'll be waiting, thanks Buddy." Harry thanked his friend Peter.
"Sure thing, bye." Spider-Man hangs up the phone.
Spider-Man puts away his phone as he has no idea why Harry called him and what he needs from Peter.
"What's all this about? Well, can't turn away a friend now, can I?" Spider-Man speaks to himself.
Spider-Man jumps off the ledge and swings through the city.
Back in Queens, Gwen is in her room watching the news on her laptop of Ghost-Spider's disappearance for the past week.
"Yet again, Spider-Man has been swinging around the city solo in the past week without his crime fighting partner Ghost-Spider. He was quite lucky to be able to fight crime all by himself, but many wonders for how long. Can all of New York City survive without Ghost-Spider around? Only time will tell."
The bedroom door knocked, Gwen got startled.
"Who is it?" Gwen asking who's outside the door.
"Its me, Gwennie. Can I come in?!" George Stacy asking outside the door.
"Sure!" Gwen permits her dad entrance.
George opened the door and has a mug of hot coco in his hand. Gwen closed the laptop as her father is in the room.
"Got you hot coco." George Stacy holding the mug.
"Really, dad? I'm sixteen!" Gwen says to George Stacy.
"Okay, I just wanted to cheer you up." George Stacy turns to walk away.
"Dad, wait! Since you came all this way." Gwen nodded in approval.
George hands Gwen the mug as she drinks it down her throat, but George could tell that she's still down.
"Are you alright, Gwennie?" George Stacy says with concern.
"Yeah... just doing nothing much lately since... you know." Gwen says to her dad.
"Gwen, doing what you do as a hero isn't all fun and games. This is a very dangerous profession that can get you hurt, or worse, killed." George Stacy says to her daughter.
"I know, dad." Gwen is well aware of the life of a hero.
"Gwen, I just want you know that this isn't a punishment or anything. I just don't want to lose you in the way I lost your mother." George Stacy explained his worries to Gwen.
"Dad, what if Peter needs my help and I'm not there for him?" Gwen is worried for Peter.
"Peter has been doing a great job as Spider-Man handling things alone before he ever had a partner, I think that he'll do just fine on his own." George Stacy says to Gwen.
"But he's also a teenager just like me and you let him continue being Spider-Man despite the danger he faces." Gwen says to her dad.
"But I'm not his father, Gwen. I can't decide how he lives his life since we're not related. I'm sorry, but I can't risk losing you. Please try to understand me, Gwen." George Stacy says to Gwen.
Gwen sighed. "I understand."
George gets up and walks out of the bedroom, Gwen is still worried for Peter since even he can't handle everything alone all the time. She can only hope that Peter doesn't get into a situation that could get him killed without her backing him up.
In Tribeca at the Coffee Bean at night, Peter came inside to find Harry Osborn sitting alone at the table.
"Harry!" Peter waved to his best friend.
"Peter, I had some doubts that would come." Harry admits to Peter.
"Well, I'm here, aren't I?" Peter smiled at Harry.
"Please, sit down." Harry says to Peter.
Peter sits down in the chair as he and Harry are all alone about to have their talk.
"Would you like a drink?" Harry asking Peter.
"Nah, I'm cool. So what is it you need to talk to me about?" Peter says to Harry.
"Okay... I need to talk to you about MJ?" Harry says to Peter.
Peter felt surprised by Harry mentioning MJ in front of his face as he's a bit nervous as to why Harry brought her up.
"What about MJ?" Peter is confused.
"So you really don't know?" Harry is surprised by Peter's reaction.
"Know what?" Peter is still clueless.
"Last week, I tried to reconcile with MJ, to get back to where we left off before our breakup." Harry explained to Peter.
"Oh, and did you?" Peter is stunned and surprised.
"I tried, but MJ said that she wanted more space, more time to figure things out." Harry says to Peter.
"Harry, did she ever tell you why?" Peter is curious.
"No, she never told me, but I get the sense that she's keeping something from me, something very personal." Harry suspects something.
Peter can't hide things from his best friend so he had tell him something that MJ has kept from him, something Peter learned very recently.
"Harry... MJ has been through things as a child, I don't know if it's my place to tell you, but..." Peter is hesitant to tell him much.
"But what? Peter, I want to understand her, please tell me." Harry wants to her it from Peter.
"She... witnessed her father slapped her mother when she was very young, her parents had a failed marriage. She doesn't talk about it very much, she tries her best to put it behind her." Peter explained about Mary Jane's past.
Harry sighed. "I had no idea what she had to go through."
"MJ... she's a very private person, keeping things that are too painful for anyone to handle." Peter says to Harry.
"I see... is that all?" Harry says to Peter.
"Isn't that enough?" Peter says to Harry.
"Are you sure there's nothing else bothering her?" Harry is still curious about MJ.
Peter couldn't tell him that he kissed his best friend's ex-girlfriend right to his face.
"No... that's everything I've said." Peter lied to Harry.
"I guess that MJ must've felt ashamed for what she had to got through that she doesn't want to talk about it with anyone. I guess that I can't blame her for keeping secrets." Harry is being understanding.
"Can you do me a favor? Please don't tell her about this subject or that I've told you this secret, it's very personal to her." Peter asking for discretion.
"Don't worry, Pete. This will be our secret, thank you for sharing this with me." Harry is grateful to Peter.
"Of course, don't mention it." Peter says to Harry.
"I meant it, you're truly a great friend, Peter. Basically like a brother to me." Harry values their friendship.
"I feel the same way." Peter says to Harry.
"Well, I should get back home. Do you need a ride?" Harry offering Peter a ride home.
"No, I'll stick around for a while, then I'll head home." Peter is staying behind.
"Okay, be careful. I'll see you at school." Harry is walking away.
"Bye." Peter waved goodbye to Harry.
Harry just left the Coffee Bean, leaving Peter all alone and felling more guiltier for lying to his best friend yet again.
"I'm so sorry, Harry. But how could I tell you that I kissed the girl you love?" Peter says in his thoughts.
Peter is saddened for betraying his friend's trust in him, it's too hard on him. Not to mention that he confessed Mary Jane's painful past to Harry behind her back, he feels more guilt for betraying her trust too.
Back in Queens, Mary Jane is all alone in her fully restored bedroom with her dog Ms. Lion, she hasn't talked much with Peter nor Gwen since last week. She can't help but look at the picture of herself with Peter and Gwen, she's more focused on the image of Peter. The bedroom door knocked as someone is at the door.
"Who is it?!" Mary Jane asking whoever is outside the door.
"It's me, Aunt Anna! May I come in?!" Anna Watson asking outside the door.
"Yeah!" Mary Jane permits Anna Watson entrance.
The bedroom door opens as Anna walks inside to see her niece petting her pet dog.
"Everything okay, Mary Jane?" Anna Watson asking her niece.
"Of course, why wouldn't I be?" Mary Jane acting normal.
"Because I know you, and I could tell that something is bothering you. Do you want to talk about it?" Anna Watson offers to help Mary Jane.
"No thank you, I appreciate the offer, but I'm fine, really." Mary Jane refused to talk.
"Mary Jane, I know that you're still hurt by the breakup with Harry, and I can't help but worry for you and what you're going through." Anna Watson is still worried.
"You have no idea what I've been through." Mary Jane says to Aunt Anna.
"I know that... your parent's failed marriage affected you in more ways than you can imagine." Anna Watson says to her niece.
"Why did you have to bring up my parents right now?" Mary Jane tries to block it out.
"Because I've seen your relationships besides Harry, and none of them last this long. I know that deep down that you're afraid to fully commit to anyone because you don't want to end up like your mother." Anna Watson
"Aunt Anna, please stop it." Mary Jane is tearing up.
"Mary Jane, please let it out." Anna Watson says to Mary Jane.
Mary Jane is tearing up some more as she's breaking down in sadness, Anna Watson came and hugged her for comfort, Mary Jane ended up crying some more as her past hurts her and her relationships with anyone.
"It's okay, let it out." Anna Watson still hugging Mary Jane.
Mary Jane is crying out some more as she's in more pain than Anna Watson realizes, it's more deeper than just her parents, she felt guilty for not letting Harry into her life and it ruined their relationship, but she's even more guilty for lying to her best friend Gwen because she kissed Peter without hesitation. Mary Jane still cries and embrace Anna for comfort as she needed it to let out the pain she carries inside her heart.
The next day in the morning, at the George Washington Bridge, the RV crossed into the bridge as Walrus is driving the wheel with Panda-Mania riding shotgun, White Rabbit popped out of the top to gaze upon the city with her own two eyes.
"New York City, the city that never sleeps. Welcome to the Big Apple!" White Rabbit says in excitement.
The RV kept driving through the bridge and into the city itself, White Rabbit climbs down back inside as her crew looked out the window to gazed upon the city.
"So this is the city where Spider-Man protects." Walrus still driving.
"So how do we find Spider-Man?" Panda-Mania is wondering.
"Don't worry, If we cause enough trouble, he'll find us." White Rabbit says to her crew.
Meanwhile at Midtown High as school is almost about to end very soon, Raymond Warren is still teaching while all his students listened. Peter is sitting next to his best friend Harry as he's still feels nothing but guilt for keeping a secret concerning himself and MJ. Meanwhile Mary Jane is sitting with Gwen as she too is feeling guilty for kissing Gwen's ex behind her back.
The school bell rang as school has ended, everyone gets up and leaves the class, Gwen and Mary Jane walked out as Gwen noticed Mary Jane being a bit distant from her than ever before.
"Mary Jane, wait!" Gwen says to Mary Jane.
Mary Jane ignored Gwen and continues to walk away as Peter and Harry walked out of class. Gwen is worried for her friend and wonders what's she going through.
"You guys go on ahead, I'll catch up later." Gwen says to Peter and Harry.
Gwen walked away to catch up with Mary Jane as Harry can't help but wonder what's going on in MJ's mind, he got the sense that something else is going on.
(Courtyard)
Mary Jane is sitting on the bench all alone in the courtyard as Gwen came up to her.
"Hey Mary Jane, May I join you?" Gwen says to Mary Jane.
Mary Jane nodded as Gwen sits down next to her. Unknown to both girls, Harry Osborn followed after them and hides himself behind a wall nearby the bench and listens in on their conversation without them knowing.
"What do you want, Gwen?" Mary Jane asking Gwen.
"I just want to have a chat with my best friend, that's all." Gwen says to Mary Jane.
"Oh, Gwen! I don't deserve to be called your best friend, I'm quite the opposite, I'm a terrible friend." Mary Jane says with guilt in her voice.
"Mary Jane, what are you talking about?" Gwen is more confused.
"I did something that betrays our friendship." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
"I don't understand? Whatever it is that you're keeping to yourself, let it out. I'm here for you, no matter what." Gwen says to Mary Jane.
"Okay then, since you're my best friend, and you deserve to know the truth. Gwen... I... I... I kissed Peter." Mary Jane finally confessed the truth to Gwen.
Gwen is shocked to hear that Mary Jane and Peter kissed. Unknown to them, Harry was hidden nearby and listening, he became more shocked to hear that his ex-girlfriend kissed his best friend.
"What? You and Peter?" Gwen is still shocked.
"It happened during my breakup with Harry and he found me moping, he came over to comfort me and... it just happened all of a sudden. I'm so sorry, Gwen." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
Harry walked away as he's still processing everything he had heard from MJ, she kissed his best friend and Peter kept this from Harry.
(Entrance)
Harry is still in shock from the news until he spotted Peter still around talking on the phone.
"Yes Aunt May, I'm doing my best to find the cranberries, but it's difficult to find in the five boroughs, especially with Thanksgiving around the corner. I'll try again when I get the chance, bye." Peter hangs up the phone.
Harry is upset at Peter for lying to him about kissing Mary Jane behind his back. He walked up straight to Peter in anger.
"Peter!" Harry is walking towards Peter.
"Hey Harry, what's going..." Peter's spider sense tingles.
Harry throws the first punch but Peter managed to dodge the fist as the whole school is watching what is happening right now between Peter and Harry.
"Hey, take it easy! Harry!" Peter tries to restrain himself from fighting Harry.
"You backstabbing traitor! I know what you've done!" Harry is very upset at Peter.
Peter is confused as is everyone around them.
"You kissed MJ!" Harry learned the truth.
The entire crowd all away "Ooh!!!," Peter is shocked to find out that Harry learned about what really happened between him and MJ.
"Harry, calm down! I don't want to fight you!" Peter refuses to fight Harry.
Harry was about to throw another punch until Flash and Kong intervened and held Harry back from hitting Peter.
"Hey! You need to calm down, Osborn!" Flash restraining Harry.
"I trusted you, Pete! You lied to me, right to my face!" Harry is yelling in anger.
The principal came in to see what the fuss is all about.
"What is going on here?!" The principal asking the students.
"Osborn here tired to punch Parker behind his back, and Parker refused to fight!" Flash explained to the principal.
"Both of you, my office immediately!" The principal went back inside the school.
Harry calmed down but he's still mad at Peter as both of them went back inside the school.
(Principal's Office)
Peter and Harry each sitting in their chairs as the principal is about to ask why their fighting on school grounds.
"Alright Mr. Osborn, why did you try to punch Peter and provoke a fight on school grounds?" The principal asking Harry Osborn.
"I attacked Peter out of jealousy because I found out that he kissed my ex, Mary Jane and he kept it from me." Harry explained his reasons.
"Harry, I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you." Peter tries to apologize to Harry.
"Apology not accept, I asked you what was going on with MJ and you lied me, right to my face." Harry still mad at Peter.
"Enough! Even so, that's no excuse for starting a fight here at the school! I want this to be very clear to both of you, I don't want any of your relationship dramas to cause anymore problems here again. Is that clear?!" The principal telling Peter and Harry.
"Yes, sir." Peter understood.
"Fine." Harry understands too.
"Very well, I'll notify both your parents about this incident, and I hope that they have serious talks with you each. Mr. Parker, you can go now. As for you Mr. Osborn, for assaulting a student and starting the fight, you're being suspended for two weeks." The principal laying down the punishment for Harry Osborn.
Peter got up as Harry didn't look back at Peter since he's still mad at him for lying and kissing Mary Jane behind his back. He walked out of the office as both Mary Jane and Gwen waiting outside to see Peter walking towards them.
"Peter, we heard what happened just now. Why did Harry attack you?" Gwen is confused and worried.
"Because he found out that me and MJ kissed." Peter confessed the reason for all this problem.
Mary Jane is shocked. "What? You told him?!"
"I didn't tell him about us, MJ! Somehow he found out and it sure wasn't from me!" Peter isn't happy with everything.
"Oh no!" Gwen realize something.
"What?" Peter says to Gwen.
"Me and Mary Jane were just talking about you two kissing, Harry must've listened in and found out without us knowing." Gwen figured out what started all this.
"Oh my god, it's all my fault this whole thing happened, I'm so sorry, Tiger. I never meant for this to happen to you and Harry." Mary Jane apologies to Peter.
"MJ, don't hard on yourself, this is on me too. Besides, this was bound to happen eventually. I thought that I've talked Harry from digging but he's still too curious." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"What did you talked about?" Mary Jane asking Peter.
Peter sighed. "I might as well tell you. I told him about your past concerning your parents and what you had to go through."
Mary Jane is shocked. "You told him?!"
"I had to tell him something, he wouldn't stop asking questions about you." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"Peter Parker, you had no right to tell him something so personal of mine." Mary Jane says to Peter.
"Right, this coming from the girl who spilled her beans to her best friend. We both agreed that we shouldn't tell anyone." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"Alright, enough! It doesn't matter who started it, the secret is already out and there's nothing we can do about it." Gwen says to both Peter and Mary Jane.
Peter's phone rang, he pulls it out to see that Robbie Robertson is calling him.
Peter answered the call. "Robbie, what do you need?"
"There's a bank robbery happening in downtown, I was hoping that you might get shots of Spider-Man in action." Robbie informs Peter.
"Alright, I'm on my way." Peter hangs up the phone.
"Trouble?" Gwen suspected something.
"Yeah, I have to go. We'll have to finish this another time." Peter says to Mary Jane and Gwen.
"Be careful." Gwen says to Peter.
"Thanks, see ya later." Peter walks away from the girls.
Gwen still stays behind with Mary Jane as she can't go out as Ghost-Spider anymore, it still has been easy for her letting Spider-Man handle everything alone without her. Peter is still dealing with his emotional problems and hopes that he's stays focused on his mission.
Later in the city, at the bank downtown, White Rabbit and her crew have already taken down the security and police without difficulty. All the patrons have their heads down as the villains are in control now. Walrus and Panda-Mania all carry out bags of money from the vault.
"This is all too easy!" Walrus smiled as he's carrying the money.
"Agreed, I thought that Spider-Man would show up by now." Panda-Mania says to Walrus.
The bank ceiling window got broken down as Spider-Man jumped down and landed in a three point stance in front of everyone.
"Ask and he shall appear!" White Rabbit smiled as Spider-Man is finally here.
Spider-Man took a good look at the villains, they're all animal themed, one is dressed like a rabbit, the big one is a walrus, and the other female is a panda.
"If you're the Easter bunny, then I'm afraid that Easter is still months away from now." Spider-Man jokes to the White Rabbit.
"Spider-Man, what a pleasure. Allow me to introduce myself, I am White Rabbit, and these are my associates Walrus and Panda-Mania." White Rabbit introduced herself and her crew to Spider-Man.
"Never heard of you. Whatever your intentions here are, leaves these people out of this!" Spider-Man says to the crew.
"Very well, leave us! Everyone out!" White Rabbit fired bullets in the air.
The whole crowd exited the bank in fear as only Spider-Man and the supervillains stayed behind about to face off against each other. Spider-Man is completely outnumbered as he's about to face three supervillains alone without backup.
"Now that we're all alone, the real fun can begin. Get him!" White Rabbit smiled with excitement.
Both Walrus and Panda-Mania charged in after Spider-Man as he too charged in as fired off a couple of webbing at their faces, Walrus got hit first but Panda-Mania was agile enough to dodge the second webbing. She jumped up and drops down for a kick on Spider-Man.
Spidey backflips and dodged her attack, he fired off a web line at her, but she used her arm to block it. She then pulled the line and also pulled Spider-Man with all her strength, he got pulled closer as Panda-Mania strikes with a spinning crescent kick.
Spider-Man got kicked so hard as he got sent flying towards Walrus who managed to bear hug him and has the web-slinger trapped in his arms.
"Got you, bug boy!" Walrus hugging Spider-Man hard.
Walrus then proceed to crush Spider-Man with all his strength as the hero is struggling to get free from the Walrus. Both his arms are trapped as he can't strike back, he then resorted to using his head and strikes back with a headbutt to Walrus's head, causing them both pain to their heads.
Spider-Man took the opportunity to use all his strength to break out of Walrus's grip and made his escape, he jumped off and landed on the ground. He shakes off the pain in his head but his spider sense tingles as gunshots are fired from the White Rabbit's umbrella, Spider-Man move fast enough to take cover from all the bullets fired at him. He ducked behind a desk and stayed there, he check his left arm to see that he got hit by a bullet.
"Wow, even the big bad spider is scared for his life that he has to hide behind a desk. I thought that you proved to be a real challenge! How disappointing!" White Rabbit says to Spider-Man.
"This is no good, I'm outnumbered and outgunned. I can't take them on by myself. I'll have to retreat and live to fight another day." Spider-Man says in his thoughts.
Spider-Man needs an opening to make his escape but he realizes that White Rabbit will shoot him down the second she sees him. He then spotted a fire extinguisher nearby, he used his webshooters to yanked it towards his hands.
White Rabbit waited for Spider-Man to make a move, Spider-Man popped out of hiding as he tossed the extinguisher at her, she started shooting and one of the bullets hit the extinguisher, causing it to blow up and cover the view with forms and smokes, causing temporary blindness on the villains. Spider-Man used this opportunity to make his escape as he swings away towards the windows.
White Rabbit and her crew recovered their sight to see that Spider-Man has escaped from them.
"Damn it! He got away!" Panda-Mania is disappointed.
"For now! But we'll see him again very soon. We have won this fight!" White Rabbit smiled in victory.
At the Osborn Manor, Harry and Norman just returned after hearing about the incident that happened at school and Harry's two week suspension.
"You really have disappointed me, Harry. I had to cancel the meeting because of your personal problems." Norman is disappointed in Harry.
"It wasn't entirely my fault, dad! My best friend Peter kissed my ex and she allowed it!" Harry explained his reasons.
"You said it yourself, she's your ex, that means that she's allow to see anyone she wants, she doesn't have any obligations to you, son." Norman says to Harry.
"Honestly, I don't get what MJ sees in Peter!" Harry says to his dad.
"Well I can, Peter is very gifted in science and is highly intelligent, he's gotten quite handsome recently that a lot of girls his age finds him attractive, he has a job so he's highly functional, and he had the guts to speak out against Wilson Fisk on live TV which shows real courage. He's basically the golden boy that anyone would be proud of." Norman admired Peter's qualities.
"You speak as if he's the perfect son you always wanted." Harry says to his dad.
"Sometimes I do, it's a wonder that you're even my flesh and blood, you never had Peter's strength of character." Norman admits to his son Harry.
Harry can't help but being jealous of Peter, since he's gotten quite lucky to attract pretty girls such as Liz, Gwen, and now his ex girlfriend Mary Jane. Even his own father admitted that Peter is the perfect son, even more so than himself, his own son.
"Mr. Osborn, the car is ready is take you to the airport."
"Thank you." Norman says to his butler.
"You're leaving already?" Harry is surprised.
"Thanks to you, I have to go all the way to London in person for negotiations." Norman says to his son.
"But what about thanksgiving?" Harry says to his dad.
"I guess you'll have to spend them all by yourself now. I really need to go now. See you in a week, son." Norman says to Harry.
Norman walks out the door for business leaving his son Harry all alone.
At the Spider-Cave, Peter is patching up the bullet wound on his shoulder with Mary Jane's help, George came in to check on Peter.
"Are you alright?" George Stacy asking Peter.
"Yeah, I'll live." Peter says to George Stacy.
"You were lucky to be alive. I've got the info on those bank robbers you've fought against. They've made a string of casino robberies in Atlantic City couple nights ago." George Stacy informs Peter.
"And now they're looking to expand here in New York. As if I don't have enough problems to deal with. Theses guys aren't going to be easy to stop, at least not by myself." Peter says to George Stacy.
"I know where you're going with this, and the answer is still no. I can't risk Gwen's life doing what you do, I just can't." George Stacy refused to get Gwen involved.
Peter sighed. "Then I'll just have to stop them all myself, somehow."
"Peter, I'm really sorry for this, but please understand, Gwen is all I have left in this world." George Stacy is worried for Gwen's safety.
"I understand." Peter says to George Stacy.
Peter gets up and put his suit back on as Mary Jane is worried what he's planning next.
"Where are you going?" Mary Jane asking Peter.
"I'm going out there on patrol, this city still needs Spider-Man." Peter tells Mary Jane.
"Peter, you're still injured from the fight, you need to rest." Mary Jane tells Peter.
"I can't do that, without Ghost-Spider, Spider-Man needs to work overtime to keep the city safe. Those three villains are still out there, I have to stop them." Peter says to Mary Jane.
"Mary Jane is right, you're in no condition to continue fighting, go home and get some rest, recover. If any of them pop out of hiding, I'll let you know." George Stacy says to Peter.
Peter sighed. "Fine, I guess that I could use some rest."
Peter walks out of the Spider-Cave as George and Mary Jane are worried what Peter is going through lately, especially Mary Jane since she spilled the secret to Gwen and Harry overheard them, causing problems between him and Harry.
Later in the Parker Residence, May is preparing for the Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, she heard the door opening to see that Peter has just returned home.
"I'm home! Sorry that I still couldn't find the cranberries like you've asked!" Peter is about to head upstairs.
"Peter, wait! We need to have a serious talk!" May tells Peter.
Peter stopped as he went back down to the dining room to have a serious talk with Aunt May, he has a pretty good idea what this is about. He sits down in his chair as May sat down too.
"I got a call from your school, telling me that you were caught in a fight with your best friend Harry outside the school." May tells Peter.
Peter sighed. "Of course you did."
"Care to explain why you and Harry fought?" May says to Peter.
"There was no fighting, Flash and Kong managed to stop Harry from attacking." Peter says to May.
"Even so, why did Harry pick a fight with you?" May asking Peter.
"Because... he found out that... me and MJ kissed." Peter confessed to May.
May is surprised. "What? You and MJ?"
"Yeah, that night before the Beetle tried to assassinate us, me and Mary Jane were alone in her room, we ended up kissing together. But it wasn't me, I had the symbiote on me at that time and I had no control over myself, it just happened out of nowhere." Peter explained to May.
"And Harry found out and he felt betrayed." May says to Peter.
Peter felt guilty. "I swear that I would never do anything to hurt him, at least not on purpose. You have to believe me."
"I do, and I'm sorry that has been hard on you. But you shouldn't feel guilty since he and MJ aren't even a couple anymore, and you're now single. Even as a hero, you're allow to have a relationship, and that's what I want from you." May says to Peter.l
"I gave up my relationship with Gwen because we can't be partners and a couple at the same time for obvious reasons, and now I just kissed MJ who was my best friend's ex-girlfriend, it all feels wrong." Peter says to May.
"Peter, can I be honest with you?" May says to Peter.
"Sure." Peter says to May.
"I don't think the symbiote made you kiss Mary Jane against your will, it didn't change who you are, it only took away your inhibitions and heightens what was already inside you. To be honest, I think that deep down, kissing Mary Jane was all you." May gave her opinion of his kiss with Mary Jane.
Peter is even more confused. "What? Are you saying that deep down I have romantic feelings for MJ?"
"Maybe you didn't realize it yet, but you must've felt something more strongly for Mary Jane that goes beyond just simple friendship. Having the symbiote bonded to you just brought out those feelings from inside your heart. Peter, what do you feel for MJ and be honest?" May says to Peter.
"Well... I think that MJ is very beautiful... and has a wonderful personality, she's always been there for me since our childhood, and she's still stood beside me when I became Spider-Man. I never seen her anything but a friend since I was with Gwen and she was with Harry." Peter describes his relationship with Mary Jane.
"But now you're both free and single. So what's holding you back?" May says to Peter.
"The thing is, is that I'm still not over Gwen, sometimes I think I'll never will be, I still love her despite the fact that we've broke up. But now there's these feelings I'm having for MJ, I'm feeling so confused right now." Peter is feeling conflicted between Gwen and MJ.
"Peter, you deserve to be happy with the one you love the most. I know it." May says to Peter.
"Maybe, but for now, all I can do is just continue being Spider-Man for everyone's sakes." Peter says to May.
"Peter." May is worried for Peter.
"I'm going to rest up, I had a big fight with some new villains. I need to recover for my next fight. So Goodnight Aunt May." Peter is walking away towards his room.
"Goodnight, Peter." May says to Peter.
May is alone in the dining room as she smiled, she can't believe that Peter has finally kissed Mary Jane, she always had hopes that Peter and Mary Jane would get together one day. But Peter still had romantic feelings for Gwen as he's confused between two most beautiful girl in his life.
The next morning on Thanksgiving, at the Osborn Manor, the doorbell rang as Harry just woke up and walked down to the door, he opens it to see Flash Thompson here.
"Flash? What brings you here?" Harry is surprised and confused.
"Just came to check up on you. May I come in?" Flash says to Harry.
Harry nodded and allow Flash into his home, Flash is stunned as he's never been inside a rich man's home.
"Dang, your home is quite amazing!" Flash admired Harry's home.
"So did you come here for a tour of my home?" Harry says to Flash.
"No, I'm worried for you since yesterday." Flash says to Harry.
"Since when did you care about me?" Harry says to Flash.
"Hey, I maybe a jock, but I'm still a caring human being. I know that you're upset at Parker for kissing your ex-girlfriend." Flash says to Harry.
"Damn right I am, I talked to him the night before yesterday about MJ, and he lied to me, right to my face." Harry says to Flash.
"Maybe he did it because he didn't want to see you so hurt by this news of their kiss. You shouldn't be so hard on him." Flash says to Harry.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand how you can defend him for making a move on my girl. If I remember correctly, he stole Liz from you." Harry says to Flash.
"Okay, hold on, Liz and me already broke up before they ever got together. Just like you and MJ broke up before they kissed, and I'm sorry for saying this, but you made that choice to breakup with her." Flash says to Harry.
"Still, he knew how I still felt about her and he still made his move with MJ." Harry still felt betrayed.
"Harry, MJ is a free girl now and she doesn't have any obligations to you since you decided to end this relationship." Flash says to Harry.
"Just tell me something, didn't a part of you felt jealous when Liz chose to be with Pete?" Harry asking Flash a personal question.
"I admit, I was jealous but I eventually came to understand that me and Liz weren't meant to be. So she and I didn't work out as a couple, but that's okay because we still remained friends, we've moved on. That's what you need to do, move on. I think that deep down you knew that your relationship with MJ wasn't going to last forever." Flash says to Harry.
Harry sighed. "I guess that you're right. I tried to be understanding of MJ but the more secrets she carries, the more it pushed her away from me. It eventually took a toll on our relationship, that's when I decided to break up with her."
"Maybe she felt really sad that Peter just wanted to comfort her during her time of pain." Flash says to Harry.
"And I ended up pushing her towards my best friend." Harry says to Flash.
Harry felt guilty for breaking up with Mary Jane and realized that he's responsible for bringing Mary Jane and Peter together.
"Harry, you still need to make things right for your friends, Peter and MJ both still cares about you. Don't throw away your friendship for jealousy and pride. You still need friends in your life, go to them and make things right." Flash advised Harry.
Flash said all he needed to say as he walks away from the manor, Harry is still left alone in his big empty house without his father or his friends. He pulls out his phone to see a picture of himself with MJ, Peter, and Gwen all happy.
"What should I do?" Harry asking himself that question.
In New York City, the whole city is gathered off the streets as the Thanksgiving parade is about to start. They all looked at the giants balloons hovering around the streets.
Meanwhile on the rooftop, White Rabbit, Walrus, and Panda-Mania all looked down to see the parade happening right now before their eyes.
"Looks like we've come to New York at a perfect time for their famous thanksgiving parade." Panda-Mania watching the parade.
"Hmm, do you think they sell snacks down there?" Walrus felt hungry for food.
"You're always thinking about food every time, Walrus." Panda-Mania says to Walrus.
"There will be plenty of time for food after we're done with Spider-Man." White Rabbit tells her crew.
"So what the plan, boss?" Walrus asking White Rabbit.
"We draw Spider-Man out yet again, and this parade is the best opportunity to do so." White Rabbit has a plan.
At the Stacy Residence, George Stacy opens the door to see May Parker outside.
"May?" George Stacy says to May.
"Hey George, I want to invite you and Gwen to a thanksgiving dinner tonight." May gave an invitation to George Stacy.
"Thank you, that's very kind of you." George Stacy says to May.
"And Gwen?" May says to George Stacy.
"She's at Mary Jane's house, having their girl talks." George Stacy says to May.
"So basically Gwen is living the normal life." May says to George Stacy.
"That's right, without facing danger and risking her life like..." George Stacy hesitate to finish that sentence.
"Like my nephew Peter. Is that what you were going to say?" May says to George Stacy.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to drag Peter like that." George Stacy says to May.
"Don't worry, I get you, more than you can imagine." May understands George's concern.
"Can I ask you something? Parent to parent?" George Stacy says to May.
"Sure." May says to George Stacy.
"How can you be okay with your nephew living the life of a hero?" George Stacy asking May.
"Honestly George, I wasn't. I never wanted this life for Peter, because being a hero means facing all sorts of danger. But then I came to realize that nothing I say will ever stop him from doing what he does. He'll still go out there risking his life and helping other people who needs it. And to be honest, Gwen has helped out a lot since she became Ghost-Spider." May says her opinions.
"Yeah, but why her? Why does Gwen have to be the one with powers?" George Stacy says to May.
"My husband has a saying, a lesson that he passed on to Peter, it's what kept him going as Spider-Man, he said that with great power comes great responsibility." May used Ben's quote.
"Your husband was a wise man." George Stacy smiled.
"He was, he raised Peter the right way into the person he is now, just like you've raised Gwen into the girl she is now. She really does take after her father in so many ways." May says to George Stacy.
"Yeah, we're both cut from the same cloth." George Stacy smiled.
George did raise Gwen the right way and taught her to always do the right thing. In some ways, he played his part in making Gwen the hero she was before.
"I should get back and cook for tonight. I hope to see you both there." May says to George Stacy.
"I'll think about it!" George Stacy says to May.
May walked away as George is left to think about his conversation with May concerning Gwen's life as a hero.
Meanwhile at Mary Jane's house, Gwen and MJ are hanging around the room to have their serious talk concerning Mary Jane kissing Peter.
"Gwen, I'm sorry for everything. I know that he's the love of your life and I've violated our friendship by kissing him. Can you forgive me?" Mary Jane apologies to Gwen.
"Mary Jane, there's nothing to forgive, me and Peter are already broken up, there's nothing between us anymore. But listen, if he wants to pursue a relationship with you, then I won't get in your way." Gwen says to Mary Jane.
"I don't understand?" Mary Jane is confused.
"Peter is brave and strong, but he can get lonely from this life of a hero. If he ever needs someone who can keep him going, then maybe he needs you by his side as something more than a friend. He deserves that, and so do you." Gwen says to Mary Jane.
"Gwen, I'm surprised that you're saying that." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
"I still love him enough that I want him to be happy with someone who can make him whole, maybe that person is you." Gwen says to Mary Jane.
"Listen, It means a lot coming from you. But that person can't be me." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
"Why Mary Jane?" Gwen says to Mary Jane.
"Because he's belongs with you." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
"What?" Gwen says to Mary Jane.
"He's still in love with you." Mary Jane says to Gwen.
Gwen's eyes widen as Peter never stopped loving her despite their break up and their responsibilities. At the same time, Gwen still loves Peter with all her heart. Mary Jane can see in Gwen's eyes that she still carries her love for Peter, and yet at the same time, Mary Jane is also having feelings for Peter. They both remained quiet for a bit until Gwen spoke.
"Should we... watch the parade? I think that it's happening right now." Gwen says something to snap back to reality.
"Yeah... sure." Mary Jane grabbed the remote.
She turned on the TV to see live footage of the thanksgiving parade happening around Manhattan.
"And the thanksgiving parade continues as the parade finally made it to Central Park West, here we've got the newest additions to the parade. We have the Avengers here in the form of giant balloon, including our very own Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."
Mary Jane and Gwen watched as giant balloon versions of the Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Man have finally made their appearances.
"Hold on, something is happening, it looks like several people jumped off a rooftop and landed on the Hulk balloon. We'll try to zoom in to get a clear view!"
The news zooms in on the top of the Hulk balloon as the images are still blurry, the image is clearing is up to show White Rabbit, Walrus, and Panda-Mania.
"Think you better call Peter." Mary Jane suggested to Gwen.
"I think you're right." Gwen agrees with Mary Jane.
(Parker Residence)
Peter is in kitchen helping Aunt May preparing the food for tonight until his phone rang, he picked up to see Gwen is calling.
Peter answered the call. "Gwen?"
"Peter, are you watching the parade?" Gwen says to Peter.
"No, I'm helping Aunt May preparing the feast. Why?" Peter says to Gwen.
"You should turn on the TV and see for yourself." Gwen says to Peter.
Peter walked up and grabbed the remote, he turns on the TV as he and May watched live footages of the parade and shows White Rabbit and her crew already there.
"Spider-Man!!! Wherever you are, just know that we've stole the spotlight on this year's parade! We didn't get the chance to finish what we've started, we want a rematch with you again! We'll be waiting here for you to come and be the hero! Oh, and if you don't show yourself in one hour, then there will be blood on the streets! So please don't be late, for everyone's sakes!" White Rabbit sending a message to Spider-Man through the news.
"I have to go." Peter is about to walk out.
"Peter, these three almost killed you before, if you go out there alone, they might succeed this time!" May is very worried.
"Aunt May, I don't have a choice. I can't let innocent people die because I choose to do nothing, that's not who I am! I have to do this!" Peter isn't backing away.
Peter is walking out alone to face danger, May is very worried that he might get himself killed facing those three all alone.
At the thanksgiving parade, White Rabbit and her posse waiting for almost half an hour for Spider-Man to show himself, Panda-Mania is getting impatient waiting.
"If Spider-Man doesn't show up by now, I'll have to do some killing to pass the time." Panda-Mania is losing her patience.
Everyone on the ground then spotted Spider-Man swinging around the city as they all cheered for his arrival. Spider-Man landed on one of the balloon and jumped across towards the other one.
White Rabbit and her crew sees Spider-Man coming towards them, he jumped and landed on the balloon they're standing on.
"Spider-Man! I was beginning to have doubts that you would ever show up!" White Rabbit says to Spider-Man.
"You and your posse have threaten everyone here, did you really think that I was going to let that happen?" Spider-Man says to White Rabbit.
"Well, since you're here, we can get this party started. Walrus, Panda-Mania, kill his ass!" White Rabbit orders her crew.
Walrus and Panda-Mania both charged in for an attack as the fight has begun.
(Stacy Residence)
George is back home watching the live footage of Spider-Man facing off against three supervillains alone. Gwen and Mary Jane came into the house and surprised George.
"Dad, are you seeing the news?" Gwen says to her dad.
"I'm watching it right now." George Stacy tells Gwen.
Mary Jane and Gwen are watching Spider-Man fighting on top of the balloons against three supervillains alone.
(New York City)
Walrus came in jumped onto Spider-Man but he jumped up and swings an uppercut on Walrus's face, but he got surprised by Panda-Mania jumping up towards him in the air as she does a flying kick to his back. He fell off the balloon until he swings himself underneath the balloon and swings back up to the top. He drop kick Panda-Mania from behind her back.
"Looks like I've got the upper hand here!" Spider-Man bested Panda-Mania.
Spider-Man's senses tingle as White Rabbit came in jumping and swings her umbrella with a bladed tip, Spider-Man dodge it but got cut in the back.
"Careful with that, Bugs Bunny. Knives aren't toys." Spider-Man makes a joke.
"You didn't think that I was going to stay behind and watch, did you?" White Rabbit holding her umbrella.
Walrus recovered himself as did Panda-Mania as Spider-Man is surrounded by three villains. White Rabbit swings her blade again but Spider-Man dodge and shot a web in her face. Panda-Mania moved fast enough as she does the roundhouse kick and hits Spider-Man hard that he went flying towards Walrus who strikes back with a punch to the face.
(Stacy Residence)
Everyone is shocked to see Spider-Man getting bested by three villains alone on live TV.
"Oh, this does not look good for our favorite hero! Will Spider-Man be able to stop them all by himself or could this be the end of Spider-Man?"
Gwen couldn't stand by and watch Peter facing them alone as they're killing him. Gwen walked away as she's heading for the door, George and Mary Jane noticed.
"Gwen, where are you going?" George Stacy says to Gwen.
"I can't stand by and watch anymore, I'm going out there to help him." Gwen is going to help Spider-Man.
"Gwen, please, I don't want you to go! You can get hurt or worse!" George Stacy is very worried for his daughter.
"Dad, I know that you don't want me to risk my life. But how can I live my life knowing that I did nothing to help Peter. I can't let him die, I just can't." Gwen says to her dad.
George remain silent as he could see in her eyes that Gwen has made up her mind, nothing he'll say will change her decision.
"This is who I am, dad. I was given these great powers and I have a destiny to use them for good. It's like what Peter once said to me, with great power comes..." Gwen says that quote to her dad.
"... great responsibility!" George finished that quote.
"I have to do this. I'm going." Gwen is about to walk out the door.
"Gwen, wait!" George Stacy stopped her before she left.
Gwen stayed and turned around to see her dad going to the stair cupboard, he took out a backpack and holds it in his hand.
"Here, you might need this." George Stacy handing Gwen the backpack.
Gwen took it and opened it up to see her Ghost-Spider suit still inside. Gwen smiles as she got her costume back, George and Mary Jane smiled too.
"Thank you." Gwen thanked her dad.
"Be careful out there, and come back home, both of you." George Stacy says to Gwen.
Gwen nodded as she then rushed up to her bedroom to change into her costume.
Later, Ghost-Spider climbed out of her bedroom window and jumped out as she's rushing towards the city at high speed.
"Hang on, Peter! I'm coming!" Ghost-Spider says in her thoughts.
(New York City)
Meanwhile Spider-Man does his best to hold them back as long as he can, but he's getting thrashed around by three villains as they're getting the best of him, Spider-Man laid on the balloon as Walrus kicked him hard in the gut sending him up as Panda-Mania jumps up to do an axe kick down upon him, sending him back down hard.
All the people down on the ground are shocked by what they're seeing, Spider-Man being defeated all alone without any help.
White Rabbit walked up to the defeated hero in pain as Spider-Man is too injured to keep on fighting alone, she has her umbrella with the sharp tip ready for the kill.
"I expected more from you, though I must admit that you've last this long against us. It's been fun playing with you, but now playtime is over." White Rabbit holding her umbrella with blade pointed downwards.
Spider-Man is looking at White Rabbit about to deliver the finishing strike, this could be the end for him. White Rabbit thrust down until Ghost-Spider came in swinging and kicked her off her course, she then webbed both Panda-Mania and Walrus's faces with webbing, blinding them both.
The whole crowd on the ground cheered as Ghost-Spider finally makes her return. She landed on the balloon and standing close to Spider-Man laying on his back. Ghost-Spider just saved his life in time.
"You came." Spider-Man is glad Ghost-Spider.
Ghost-Spider offers her hand to him, Spider-Man took it as she pulls him up back on his feet.
"Looks like just in the nick of time." Ghost-Spider being humorous.
"A couple minutes ago wouldn't so bad either." Spider-Man is also humorous too.
"What are you going do?" Ghost-Spider being humorous again.
Their reunion got cut short as both Walrus and Panda-Mania just recovered themselves and are on each side with the spider caught between them.
"I may some help over here!" Ghost-Spider facing Panda-Mania.
"I'm a little busy right now!" Spider-Man facing Walrus.
Both Walrus and Panda-Mania charged at them both simultaneously.
"Give me your hand!" Spider-Man extend his hand to Ghost-Spider.
Ghost-Spider gave Spider-Man her hand as he pulls her and spins her towards the Walrus, kicking him hard on the face, then he continues to spin her back to Panda-Mania and kick her hard too. The crowd on the ground all cheer for the heroes fighting the bad guys together.
White Rabbit got knocked out temporarily as she wakes back up to see Spider-Man teaming up with Ghost-Spider as they're turning the tide of this battle. Both Panda-Mania and Walrus are getting bested by two heroes.
"Oh no. This is not good." White Rabbit realizes that they're losing this fight.
Walrus still faces Spider-Man as he tries his best to slam his fists down hard but the webslinger kept backflipping to avoid his hits. Spider-Man then stopped as he jumped up and strikes back with a downward elbow onto the head, knocking Walrus off balance. He fell off the balloon until Spider-Man used his webs to caught him and traps him in a cocoon hanging upside down from the balloon.
"Now I know that you're strong enough to break out, but I wouldn't recommend it!" Spider-Man says to Walrus.
Ghost-Spider then spotted White Rabbit jumping off the balloon and onto the next one.
"Spidey! She's getting away!" Ghost-Spider pointed out.
Spider-Man still has Panda-Mania left to deal with.
"Go get her! I got this!" Spider-Man tells Ghost-Spider.
Ghost-Spider jumps across the balloon as Spider-Man stays behind to fight off Panda-Mania, she strikes with a roundhouse kick but Spider-Man caught her leg and tossed her off balance. Panda-Mania gets herself back up as Spidey charged in and executed a flying knee, Panda-Mania got hit pretty hard by that strike. Spider-Man finished off by webbing her down on the balloon.
"Two down, one to go." Spider-Man says to himself.
Meanwhile White Rabbit is jumping across the balloons until Ghost-Spider managed to catch up to her and blocks her escape path.
"Where do you think you're going? The fun has just got started." Ghost-Spider says to White Rabbit.
"And here I thought that good fortune was on our side. Step aside, Spidey!" White Rabbit says to Ghost-Spider.
"No, you'll have to go through me first." Ghost-Spider stands in White Rabbit's way.
"Very well." White Rabbit points the umbrella.
White Rabbit started shootings bullets at Ghost-Spider but she jumps off the balloon and clings onto the wall of the building. White Rabbit continues to fire as Ghost-Spider is running on the walls as the bullets are causing damage to the building.
Ghost-Spider counters by firing a batch of webbing at the barrel of the umbrella, jamming it. The umbrella blows up and White Rabbit is forced to drop it. Ghost-Spider jumps far across towards White Rabbit and executes a hurricanrana on her and flips her down.
Spider-Man caught up to Ghost-Spider in time to see that she's got everything under control, she strikes a punch to White Rabbit's face, knocking her out cold with a single punch.
"And spider beats hare." Ghost-Spider says to a defeated White Rabbit.
Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider then hears cheers down below as they looked down to see the whole crowd happy for them as they've teamed up and defeated the villains. They waved back to them as the news crews caught them on camera.
(Stacy Residence)
George and Mary Jane watched on TV as both Peter and Gwen saved the day yet again.
"Yeah! They did it!" Mary Jane smiled in excitement.
"They sure did, they're quite the team." George Stacy smiles and agrees with Mary Jane.
George is happy for his daughter Gwen saving Peter's life, Gwen is the real hero today and he can't help but be so proud of her than he ever is before.
Later at the Spider-Cave, Peter is shirtless as Gwen is swabbing the cut on his back with alcohol, making Peter flinch in pain.
"Oww!!!" Peter says in pain.
"Don't a baby, you get wounds like these all the time." Gwen the patches up the wound.
"And all those times, I've healed quickly. Perks of having a healing factor." Peter says to Gwen.
Gwen finished patching up. "There, all done."
Peter gets up and puts on a shirt as Gwen just finished patching up Peter's back.
"By the way, thank you for coming to my rescue." Peter says to Gwen.
"I just couldn't stand by anymore and watch you fighting three villains alone." Gwen says to Peter.
"I mean it, Gwen. You were... amazing." Peter smiled at Gwen.
Gwen smiled back as both she and Peter are caught up in a moment, until they come to their senses and stopped gazing at each other.
"I should... probably get home, my dad will be worried. Wanna head back home?" Gwen says to Peter.
"Thanks, but I still have some unfinished business to attend to first. I'll see you later at my house, if you'll come." Peter says to Gwen.
"Sure... if I'll come." Gwen says to Peter.
Peter is all dressed in his regular attires as he walks out of the Spider-Cave, Gwen still shares chemistry with Peter but their relationship is now even more complicated as Mary Jane might have feelings for Peter too.
The sun is setting down in Queens, Gwen retuned home to find that her father is still home watching the news of the return of Ghost-Spider.
"To think that we've seen the last of Ghost-Spider, that was until she came to Spider-Man's rescue in time and together, they've stopped the criminals knowns as White Rabbit, Walrus, and Panda-Mania that were responsible for hitting up a bank yesterday and for crimes committed in Atlantic City. With the return of Ghost-Spider, the people of New York felt more safer than before."
George spotted Gwen here as he turns off the TV.
"I was watching your heroism out there, and looks like you've made it just in time to save Peter." George Stacy says to Gwen.
"I was just glad that I made in time, if I didn't, I would've regret not being there for him." Gwen says to her dad.
"So what's going to happen to Rabbit and her posse?" George Stacy is curious.
"Where she and her friends are going, it ain't no wonderland. Dad, I know that you still don't approve of me being out there risking my life helping people, but I've never regret doing what I've done, what I'm still going to do. I need to be true to myself no matter what. If you're still disappointed in me, in the choices I've made, then I'll understand." Gwen says to her father.
"Gwendolyne Stacy, I'm not disappointed in you... the truth is, is that I couldn't be even more prouder of you. Proud in who's you've become, a great hero." George Stacy smiled with proudness in his voice.
"Dad... does this mean?" Gwen smiled back.
"Yes Gwen, that you can go back to being who you are, and that's a hero, a hero that this city will need, and a hero that Peter will need by his side." George Stacy gave his approval to Gwen.
Gwen smiled as she and her dad hugged each other.
"Thank you, dad." Gwen still hugging her father.
George and Gwen broke off the hug.
"We should go!" Gwen says to her dad.
"Where?" George Stacy is curious.
"Where we both need to be, come on." Gwen is about to leave the house with her dad.
Outside the door Gwen and George knocked as May opens the door and is surprised to see Gwen and George here.
"Gwen, George, you made it." May smiled at them.
"Something smells good." George Stacy smiled as he smelled something.
"Thank you for having us, Mrs. Parker." Gwen smiled at May.
"Of course, come right in." May invites them both inside.
Gwen and George came inside the house to find both Mary Jane and Anna Watson preparing the table with most of the food already cooked.
"And Peter?" George Stacy is asking about Peter.
"He said that he had some unfinished business to attend to first." Gwen tells her dad.
"He'll be here, hopefully." May says to her guests.
George and Gwen took there seats along with Anna and Mary Jane, they then heard the front door opening and Peter came right in.
"Peter, I was getting worried that you'll be late." May is glad that Peter is finally here.
"Did you resolve that unfinished business?" Gwen asking Peter.
Peter holds a can of cranberries in his hand. "I sure did. It was a jungle out there, I had to beat an old lady with a stick to get these cranberries."
Everyone giggled and laughed at that joke as Peter hugged Aunt May, he gave her the can and took his place at the table as everyone is gathered and sitting down getting ready to feast.
"Now we can say grace!" May sat down in her chair.
They were about to say grace until the doorbell rang as everyone is surprised to hear that someone is outside the front door.
"Are you expecting anyone else?" George Stacy asking May.
"No." May is surprised too.
"I'll go check, wait here." Peter get up from the chair.
Peter walked up to open the front door, he sees Harry Osborn here and is very surprised to see him again after the incident they've had yesterday.
"Harry?" Peter is surprised and calm.
Mary Jane and Gwen are surprised to hear that Harry is here at the Parker house, they got up to join Peter.
"Hey Pete, don't worry, I'm not here to cause problems, I promise. Is this a bad time?" Harry is surprising calm and cool.
"We were just about to have dinner. But it can wait, come in." Peter invites Harry inside.
Harry came into the house and sees that Gwen and Mary Jane came to join in in case there's still conflict between them.
"Hey MJ, Gwen." Harry says to Gwen and Mary Jane.
"Hey Harry." Gwen says to Harry.
"Hi." Mary Jane felt awkward in his presence.
"Hi." Harry is also acting awkward too.
"I didn't think that you want to speak with me again." Peter is surprised.
"Yeah, me neither. Can we talk?" Harry says to Peter.
"Yeah, we can talk." Peter says to Harry.
"I... I wanted to apologize for throwing myself at you, I was angry and I felt betrayed. I wanted to get back together with MJ, but I didn't realize that I was too late." Harry felt bad for the way things are.
"Harry, don't be so hard on Peter, he was only trying to comfort me through my sadness and I felt so vulnerable without you. I should've never allow him to kiss me, this was on me." Mary Jane defended Peter's action.
"MJ, I appreciate you trying to take the blame for me, but I was the one who kissed you without any hesitation. Harry, I know that I should never kissed MJ behind your back, I was wrong. So if you want to blame someone, then blame me." Peter is willing to take responsibility for everything that has happened.
"I did, but I came to realize that I chose to end things with MJ and now I must assume the consequences of my actions. Maybe deep down I knew that my relationship with MJ wasn't going to last forever. What we had as a couple is now over, but I still want to remain friends with her, if she's okay with that." Harry looking at Mary Jane.
"I'd like that." Mary Jane accepts Harry as her friend.
"And I like to ask you for forgiveness, Peter." Harry wants Peter's forgiveness.
"Harry, there's nothing to forgive, besides I'm the one who should be asking you for forgiveness. I never should've keep that kiss a secret from you. You're my best friend, and you're like the closest thing I have to a brother. Can you forgive me?" Peter asking for Harry's forgiveness.
"As long as you can forgive me." Harry smiled at Peter.
"Fine, I forgive you." Peter forgave Harry.
"Thanks Pete, and I forgive you." Harry forgave Peter.
Peter and Harry hugged each other and reconnected their friendship, Mary Jane and Gwen smiled, as did May, Anna, and George.
"So planning anything tonight?" Peter asking Harry.
"Nah, I was supposed to spend Thanksgiving with my old man, but he had to leave for a business trip in London. So I guess I'll be spending Thanksgiving alone in my house. Excuse me, everyone. Enjoy your dinner." Harry is leaving the house.
Peter couldn't help but felt bad for letting his best friend spend thanksgiving alone, he turns his back to Aunt May who smiled and nodded with her approval.
"Harry, wait!!!" Peter says to Harry outside.
Harry stopped and looks back at Peter still inside the house.
"Want to come inside and join us for dinner?" Peter invites Harry for a thanksgiving dinner.
Harry is stunned that Peter is being friendly and kind towards him, Mary Jane and Gwen both smiled and nodded.
Harry smiled back. "Okay."
Harry went back inside as everyone sits downs together at the table, they all got to say grace and started eating their food and having their drinks. Peter managed to reconcile his friendship with Harry and he now has his crime fighting partner back, but Peter is still feeling divide between two wonderful girls in his life, Gwen and Mary Jane. He has no idea what the future has in store for his love life, but for now, he's thankful to have his loved ones here celebrating Thanksgiving.
