(Chapter 9: Time for an Overhaul: Part 3)
The summer at hand would continue as Izuku would continue to prepare to counter the would-be assassin that would be coming his way, with the aid of Lady Nagant and Ursus Major to help quickly dismantle them before any damage could be done. However, as made himself ready for the imminent battles ahead concerning Overhaul, the one thing he could not shake off were the continuous visions of battles beyond the stars; especially with one concerning the strange Naga with wings that called itself Fulgrim, and the other a one-eyed cyclops with bright red skin wielding blasphemous powers or arcane might beyond imagining.
(June 22nd, 998. M41, Tokyo, Japan, Zenthon, 8:40 Pm)
It would be 20 minutes till 9 at night as Izuku was currently with Mineta after the latter had invited him to see a new animated horror movie that had come out, all the while he was in constant contact with both Nagant and Ursus Major for any sign of the assassin.
"Thanks again for inviting me to the movies with you, Mineta. I means a lot to me that you wanted me to come with you." Izuku thanked the shorter man between them
"Hey, its no problem for me, Midoriya. Besides, you looked like you could use a bro and a wingman…Did you see those babes in there, they looked thicker than a bowl of oatmeal?" Mineta told the green-haired Psyker in being more than fine with the company
"I did, and sorry if I froze when you tried to get me to talk to them. I-I am not the best when it comes to talking with girls…I never really had a friend to help me out with things like that. If anything, I can't believe that you actually went out of your way to help me get a girls' number." Izuku said in being genuinely happy and borderline overjoyed at having someone want to be his wingman
"Look I don't know what kind of jerks you're used to hanging out with. But you are my friend now, Midoriya, and that means if I'm trying to score, then I am going to make sure you get a chance at some action too…We are all in the struggle together, and that means if I'm gonna win and get some poon-tang, then I'm going to help my friend get some poon-tang if I can help it too." Mineta replied in wanting to make sure that if anyone was friends with him then he'd do them a solid and wingman for them as best he could
"So as far as I'm concerned, we are gonna get all the women together. You and me, Midioriya, we're gonna be pimpin' in no time!" Mineta added as they headed towards his car
"Hopefully, our luck will change by the time we arrive at U.A. If I can talk to a girl long enough to get her phone number; without freezing up, then that will be one of the happiest day of my life." Izuku spoke
"Trust me, my guy, everything is going nowhere but up once we hit U.A….then we are gonna be living it up like nobodies business. I'm telling you from hooking up with bad bitches, going to campus parties, and anything else at an academy for superheroes. Then we are going to crush it!" Mineta replied with nothing but high hopes and aspirations of hook-ups galore
"I have no doubt that we will, in the meantime I should get going. I have a lot of work to catch up on, so I'll see you soon, Mineta…Thanks again, for letting me come to the movies with you." Izuku thanked the smaller man who soon began to enter and unlock his car
"Of course, man, and hey whenever you want to hang out next time. Just shoot me a text and we can ball out whenever." Mineta spoke as he began to start up his car
"Gotcha, and goodnight Mineta." Izuku said before the purple-haired young man soon sped off and away in his royal violet Mustang
'Lady Nagant, and Mr. Ursus; is the assassin that is after me still within range?' Izuku asked through the Mind Radio
'Yes, he is approximately several meters away from you. Do you wish for me to take the shot, I have him in sight right now?' Lady Nagant telepathically answered back
'Not yet, I do not want it to be taken just yet. We are still in a populated area and because of that, we may risk collateral damage happening; due to the unknown nature of his Quirk. As such, until I can lead him away from here to a more secluded area for us to strike. Then do not fire.' Izuku responded as he continued to head off and away from the parking lot of the movie
'Alright, Midoriya. It's your call to make, Ursus and I will be on standby to strike.' Lady Nagant responded as Izuku nodded before continuing on his way
From thereon Izuku continued to lead his would-be pursuer away from the parking lot of the movie theater; having made sure to cut through alleyways and any highly populated areas of the Tokyo streets, so that he could avoid the assassin using any hostages to their advantage. Wherein after navigating his way to one of the parks in Tokyo's east-end did he finally stop in both so he could let Ursus-Major and Lady Nagant get into position, and so that he could take a moment to center himself and think on a few things that had been on his mind as of late.
Namely the continuous assortment of visions he continued to have, one of which, would range from him battling alongside the giant of a man in blue armor, an angel with blonde-hair and four wings in resplendent golden armor against either Fulgrim who seemed at odds against himself even still. All alongside various other figures that ranged from elves wielding strange weapons he could not identify, red-robed cyborgs, and others in similarly colored blue armor to the giant man with blonde hair and a studious expression on his face.
Others had him fighting against the red-skinned cyclops with multi-colored wings and wielding socererous might, who was accompanied by various monsters, and armored individuals wearing azure, gold and white Egyptian-themed armor, on a frigid wasteland of a world. Wherein others that ranged from rugged warriors in blue wolf-themed armor wielding futuristic weapons and riding upon massive wolves, armored knights glad in shining silver armor, and other futuristic soldiers in high tech armor; battled against the cyclops and his forces.
It was the thoughts of what these visions could mean that echoed in his head, that had him nearly lost in thought; that Izuku almost did not register the smell of brimstone and sulphur as red and black smoke and the whoosh of wind made itself known behind him. Wherein he turned in a split second out of the corner of his eye to see his assailant wielding dual scimitars in either hand, his skin crimson with two rams horns curling backwards from their head, lamp-like golden eyes, fanged teeth, and wrapped in midnight blue and black body-armor that made him look like a fiendish slayer of men.
The assassin not saying a single word after having teleported to slay their mark, and was about to do so if 3 simultaneous things did not prevent them from carrying out their task as planned; that had them on the ground immoblized. The first being that Izuku quick as bullwhip being lashed fired off a bolt of psychic lightning that sent his would-be killer, flying a full 15 feet through the air his body seizing from the otherworldly attack that had their body feeling as though it had shut down from the pure force of it all.
With the second being faster than they could react did 4 bullets find their way being pierced through his flesh, 1 having ripped through his liver, the other two crushing his clavicle and right shoulder, and the last having blown off his right hand at the wrist. Then last but not least before he could hit the ground and use his powers to escape from being so greatly wounded did Ursus Major in his bestial state come barreling out of the woodwork on all fours and tackle the demonic-looking assassin to the ground.
The bear-like vigilante used their incredible strength to crush bones and tear apart ligaments to rip limbs from their sockets to the point that by the time he was done doing so, as Izuku held his assassin down in a telekinetic vice grip to prevent him from moving away. That they were left a heavily bruised and battered mess as Ursus Major put his massive paw-like hands on the nearly broken shoulder blades of the assassin, roaring like his namesake as he snarled at them with nothing but contempt.
Wherein Izuku would after using his psychic powers to knock out the would-be assassin via a weak electrical shock, would leave his fate to Ursus Major to be dealt with; while he conversed with Lady Nagant on what more would and should be done regarding the Shie Hassakai.
"And you are positive that you are going to be ready to go up against their leader? From what I have heard they are no laughing matter, Midoriya." Lady Nagant asked the green-haired Psyker
"I am, and more importantly I have to be given what is at stake. The fact that Eri's life is still in danger, and as such the possibility of her being used to create bullets that can destroy a Quirk; from what Mr. Endeavor has told me…This…This cannot be allowed to go on, and it is why I have to stop it with everything that I have at my disposal." Izuku answered back with utmost seriousness in his voice
"...You know as well as I do; that people who want to unleash something like that cannot be allowed to continue. So regardless of what has to be done, I have to see this dealt with as soon as possible." Izuku further spoke in regards to the issue at hand
"Alright, Midoriya if you think you can do it; then by all means. However, the moment that you go after Overhaul, you know how to contact everyone that's helped so far…I don't know what it is about you, but you have the capability to be something really special. So don't blow it by taking on something you can't handle." Lady Nagant told Izuku who nodded
"Don't worry, I won't. However, I will make sure to contact you and ayone who is ready to join me; in taking out Overhaul; when that time comes." Izuku said as he rose himself into the air to begin to fly off and away
"And good luck when it happens, Midoriya. We will be ready and waiting when that day comes." Lady Nagant said back before Izuku flew off into the night
'If that kid can play his cards right, then he just might make it as a hero someday. If not then he'll be a damn good vigilante…either way he's gonna far.' Were the former Sniper Hero's thoughts as she called Ursus Major so that they could deal with the assassin in question
(The next day, Endeavor's Hero Agency, Tokyo, Japan, 2:10 Pm, June 23rd, 998. M41)
Meanwhile, on the following day was Izuku finishing his training and preparations for the final assault against the Chie Hassakai when he was called to Endeavor's office to meet with none other than one of the most famed Pro-Heroes in Japan; the Wing Hero himself Hawks.
"Hello, Mr. Endeavor. Is their something that you and Mr. Hawks needed?" Izuku questioned looking at the Wing Hero with equal parts respect and admiration
"I was informing him more on your mission to take down the Chie Hassakai syndicate, on top of you preparing for an assault to take down their leader personally." Endeavor answered back
"He has agreed to assist you with the task at hand, given the levity of what is at stake." Endeavor further spoke to the Psyker
"It's nothing', besides when he told me about what you're trying to do. What with making sure that these Quirk-destroying bullets; being made from a little girl was getting put off the streets. On top of taking out dickhead Yakuza…then I knew I had to pitch in and help get things done." Hawks spoke
"I-I appreciate the help, Mr. Hawks. It means a lot to know that you want to help me take down this Overhaul guy." Izuku responded
"Not a problem at all…Hey, do you mind if I take the kid out for a fly around the town? I wanna get to know 'em a little bit more, before things get crazy." Hawks requested
"By all means, go for it. However, do not get Midoriya into any unnecessary trouble. The very last thing I need to hear about is you dragging him into any of your antics." Endeavor replied albeit with a scolding gaze that one would give to an unruly child
"Relax, I'm not going to do anything crazy with the kid. I just want to get to know him and ask a few questions is all. Nothing too serious, to be honest with you." Hawks told the Flame Hero
"Very well, but remember to stay on task after you two are finished. If you are to defeat the Chie Hassakai as you have planned, then you must stay focused on the objective at all times…No exceptions, Midoriya." Endeavor said to the green-haired Psyker who nodded at this reminder
"Understood, and don't worry I will not get distracted from what is at stake…There is nothing that can keep me away from the mission at hand." Izuku replied
"Good, you are dismissed and Hawks will be with you shortly. I need to speak with him about something for a few minutes." Endeavor told the psyker in question who nodded before leaving
"Huh, that kid sure is something. What did you do to get him all focused up; on taking these guys out?" Hawks said with a whistle
"I did not have to do a single thing. That young man has a will and drive to make it to the top ranks of a pro hero yet. The only thing that concerns me, is if he will have the stomach to face the monsters that lie at our doorstep. You and I both know that incidents like Shibuya, Kyoto, Nagasaki, and Kyushu are steadily becoming more of a reality by the day." Endeavor replied in regards to the incidents where the forces of Chaos continued to encroach and invade his home country
"Believe me, I get it. Those incidents are thankfully being contained, ever since you and some of the other Pro-Heroes passed that initiative for vigilantes. At least this way they can help us keep whatever those things are under control. I swear how those 'things' keep getting people to sign onto whatever they promise I can't even wrap my head around." Hawks spoke actually glad that thanks to said initiative that things were both easier on Vigilantes and it allowed them a means to take on both the minions of Chaos and the harsher threats that Pro-Heroes couldn't be public seen doing
"That is something you and I both can agree upon…Honestly, those incidents and the ones that we occasionaly must intercept; to prevent small cults from growing them into another Shibuya incident... Those are ones that I hope that neither Shoto nor Midoriya will have to face in their lifetime. Such things can drive a sane man mad…how I haven't gone insane after 20 years of fighting those abominations and those armored freaks that join them, I will never know." Endeavor replied in having remembered all too well his battles against the worshippers of Khorne, Tzeench, and most recently nearly 6 years prior Slaanesh
"It's times like these where I nearly regret having a family. Every single day I have to hope, pray, and wonder if I can still hold out against not only the villains that continue to infest my home. I must also hope that in doing what I have to with Shoto, that he will be strong enough to face what is to come." Endeavor further spoke regarding how over time he had felt himself nearly crushed under the weight of having to fight on so many fronts
"Then how do you know that you aren't pushing Shoto towards these monsters? I know you want the kid to be strong, but how well do you think his mental is going to be able to hold out against them?" Hawks questioned regarding how intensively he's pushed Shoto over the years to be as strong as possible
"I am aware of the risks. However, he has to be ready for whatever may come, Hawks. It is not that I do this just so that he can one day surpass All Might. Everything I do is so that he will be ready to face these abominations when and wherever they will appear; alongside those who follow them…I would rather him despise me, hate me, and grow to never love me; than have him be weak and fail to protect himself and others against what may come from beyond the stars." Endeavor answered back knowing that his methods while extreme would ensure that his son would be capable enough to stand against them
"That's valid, but if I were you. I would have that Midoriya kid keep an eye on him just to be safe…Everyone's one bad day away from making a mistake they can't take back." Hawks said as he stretched himself out to go chop it up with Izuku
"What's to say that Shoto's won't come soon enough, and before you know it he takes one of those abominations on a deal just to spite you…I'm not saying I would condone it, but I could understand it from his perspective. After all, what's a kid supposed to do when a father shows them tough love, but all they see is toughness." Hawks further spoke before walking out of the office of the Flame Hero
'Maybe he does have a point regarding Shoto…Nonetheless, I have to keep preparing him for what may come, I cannot allow him to fall in the face of those abominations. Not after what happened to father, when I watched them tear him apart on graduation day.' Endeavor noted to himself in the vivid memory of the day he would never forget when he lost his father
All the while with Endeavor embroiled in his thoughts over having to combat another surge of Daemons, Chaos Marines and etc from the Ruinous Powers, was Hawks currently with Izuku, the two talking on their ideals of what it means to be a hero; alongside just seeing how Izuku was handling interning under Endeavor so far.
"Honestly, Mr. Hawks. It isn't as bad as people would make it out to be. Sure he may a bit strict, but honestly I rather like it…Its nice to be in a place where I am forced to rise to the occasion and have the best brought out of me as much as possible." Izuku said in rather liking the intensive environment that Endeavor created in his agency
"You are one of the few people; who can actually say that with a smile on their face. Not a lot of people can handle can handle being trained and interning under Endeavor like you are…Takes a pretty chunky amount of thick skin, to be honest." Hawks replied as they continued to fly over the city skyline
"Then they are not committed to what it takes to be a great hero." Was the green-eyed Psyker's response
"And what exactly do you think that it takes to be a great hero? Call me curious, but I gotta ask you, since it's pretty rare to see the old man get this interested in someone." Hawks asked
"It means that you commit yourself towards gaining as much power as possible. Such power and strength that must be put towards doing as much as possible to save as many lives as needed. It does matter if you have to break your bones, burn your flesh away, or drive yourself to madness over. What matters is focusing towards protecting others with every ounce of strength you have to offer. If you are not willing to commit to giving it your all to being a hero, then you do not deserve to be called such." Was Izuku's response that seemed almost biting
"Then I guess you aren't too big on people like Mt. Lady then?" Hawks questioned
"Not exactly, no. While I can commend those such as her and Best Jeanist, I do not exactly care for how they conduct themselves. They seem more advertisement that actual hero, and is honestly disgusting to look at." Izuku answered back in regards to heroes like them
"You do know that if you want to succeed in the hero business, and I mean really have a chance at success. Then you are going to have to advertise yourself as something to the public. It isn't just about fighting bad guys 24/7/365 you know." Hawks told the young Psyker
"While that is more than understandable. It does not mean that I have to like doing so, and neither does it mean that I will turn myself into a commodity to do so." Izuku replied as they continued to fly throughout the Tokyo skyline
"I will find a way towards becoming a hero without having to become a walking-talking advertisement to do so…I do not know how I will accomplish it, but I will find a way to do so all the same. What matters most of all is that as a hero, I protect the public and defeat villains, criminals, and evil-doers alike. That is what matters most when becoming a hero, everything else is just pageantry and excess." Izuku stated resolutely towards his goal
"Then best of luck to you, Midoriya. You're going to need it." Was the Wing Hero's response
"Thank you, Mr. Hawks…And before we make a loop back to the Agency. I do have to ask you something…Is there anything that you regret about being a Pro-Hero? You don't have to answer it if you don't want to…I am just curious is all if someone of your stature has any major regrets about being one." Izuku queried to the Wing Hero
"Let's just say that my regrets about the hero business, are best saved for a later conversation. There are some things that I do not feel comfortable talking about right now. So I do have a few, but they're too crazy to share when I don't know you that well just yet." Hawks responded in regards to some of the more…unsavory aspects of his hero career
"That's fine. Regardless, I appreciate your choice to help me against the Chie Hassakai." Izuku said back
"Hey, it is no skin off my back. Besides, we are all in this to stop evil as much possible aren't we? It wouldn't make sense I didn't jump into pull my fair share of the weight too." Hawks told the green-haired Psyker who nodded at his words
"As long as we can make sure that their leader; can never do what he attempted to do with Eri ever again. As well as keep those disgusting bullets he made from her off the streets, then I will be fine with whatever outcome is made from this." Izuku replied
'At least he's dedicated towards being a good hero. He's definitely a bit intense, but at least he's not too much of a flight risk.' Hawks noted to himself as they continued to fly through the skies above
'All I need to do is continue to stay at the ready for whatever Overhaul may throw at us. Then from there, it shouldn't be too much to worry about…at least I hope.' Izuku noted to himself as he flew alongside the Wing Hero in their continued talks over heroism and the ideals therein
(5 days later, June 28th, 998. M41, 9:09 Pm, Kyoto, Japan)
In the next few nights however, Overhaul was beside himself at the Shie Hassakai Compound; furious at how within the span of a month he had gone from being one of the most potentially powerful Yakuza crime lords in Japan to being on his backfoot faster than he could blink…As such Overhaul with the rate things were going was forced to call upon his last resort in order to get things done, a last resort that he had used to aid in his meteoric rise to power.
'If this doesn't guarantee me victory, and restore the Shie Hassakai to its rightful place. Then I do not know what will...I can only give thanks to the Change of Fates for giving me the strength to survive that gremlin of a woman.' Overhaul said to himself as he continued the ritual despite his still recovering from his wounds inflicted onto him by Toga
"However, I doubt even that green-haired brat will be able to withstand; the power I have at my disposal. Quirks and hired villains are powerful, but nothing against the power of true change and all of its unlimited strength!" Overhaul spoke as he continued to finish the eldritch runes and circles as the candles were all lit and in place for his ritual to commence
From thereon, after he covered his basement in a labyrinthine lattice-work of otherworldly runes and symbols, and having collected the throughout the weeks leading to this 99 freshly slaughtered corpses as sacrifice through channels that took a considerable chunk of his available resources to acquire. He began the summoning ritual to call upon the entity that would allow him the means to change his current fate of certain defeat, as he spoke and called upon Lords of Change, Masters of Great Sorcery and weavers of Fates unknown to come to his aid and assist him.
The ritual itself taking 99 minutes to complete in its totality to summon the entity who he wished to assist him, knowing that even with the aid of Trigger in order to grant him the strength he would need, that it would not be enough as he continued his blasphemous utterances to conjure forth his desired aid. All the while as the crime lord to be called upon the blasphemous aid of eldritch creatures from the realm of Tzeentch itself; that the lattice-works of otherworldly runes and the candles lit glowed an intense azure blue.
The 99 corpses began to shift and conglomerate towards each other, their unmoving forms being puppeted by an unseen force that had them writhing and crawling onto each other, their forms melting and melding into one another; while various arcane runes of languages indecipherable to the human eye or mind were branded onto them in sapphire light. The mass of ever-changing and ever-shifting flesh of the 99 corpses gathered continued to melt and meld with one another, and until they formed into a mass of ever shifting bones, flesh, and viscera; its features never consistent for more than a few moments at a time.
Yet the few things were consistent about it the flesh mound would shift between humanoid and avian, were its brilliant blue eyes that swam with eldritch and otherworldly symbols of heretical might, its skin having become a deep shade of midnight blue, and no matter what shape its ever-shifting face took; it held an alien intelligence and eldritch arcana within. So much so that Overhaul knew that he had to pick and choose his next words carefully, otherwise if he did not with the reverence the entity deserved then the losses he'd suffered so far would seem like a day at an amusement park by comparison
"Who dares to summon Tzen'Char? Grand Sorcerer of the Infernal Tetrad, Manipulator of Destinies Unknown, and Refractor of Truths?" Tzen'Char questioned their voice a myriad of dozens upon dozens of twisted screaming voices that yet spoke as an ever-changing unified force of blasphemous might
"I am Kai Chisaki, and I request your power in the otherworldly to aid me in my quest for domination." Overhaul spoke bowing before the Tzeentchian Daemon Prince
"And what offerings will you give to me, and the Manipulator of Fates should I do so? Your ability to change and manipulate the flesh of others is impressive. Far beyond the Biomancers of the 15th Legion, but I will need more compensation for aiding you, Kai Chisaki." Tzen'Char spoke the world almost distorting and stretching with each blasphemous word of runious might that spewed forth
"I will offer you not only the lives of myself and my men, but also the life of a powerful psychic to do as you wish." Overhaul responded getting the Daemon Prince's curiosity and attention
"A powerful Psychic you say…Do go on, Kai Chisaki." Tzen'Char spoke their ever-shifting form now having its attentions at full bore
"This psychic wields a power that rivals if not surpasses the greatest hero of my home. This psychic has within weeks destroyed my operations, eviscerated my men, and taken the one key element to me changing this rotten carcass of a society for good. As such, if you are so willing to lend your aid to me; I will ensure you the lives of not only myself, my men, but the life of this Psychic and 900 others as well as payment for your aid, Lord Tzen'Char." Overhaul informed the Daemon Prince
"Hmmm, that is a very promising payment to make for my services. That being said, do you know what perils await you should you fail a Daemon Prince of Tzeencth, Kai Chisaki? Do you know the ways in what we can and will do to you; should you fail to uphold your end of the bargain?" The Tzeencthian entity questioned it's ever shifting mass of flesh and otherworldly arcana stretching and undulating towards the masked crime boss
"Should you fail in our arrangement as promised, then we will mold, shape, and reform you into a pathway greater than feeble mortality. We will mould you into nothing more than a tool for the whims of change and fate…If anything, your failure would work wonders for the Sorcerer King of the 15th. I am sure that he would have much use for someone who will not uphold their deals." Tzen'Char spoke a warped and distorted chuckle escaping their fused and chimeric-sounding vocal cords
"If I may ask, who exactly is the Sorcerer King of the 15th?" Overhaul queried out of simple curiosity unable to tear himself away from the creatures endless azure pits for eyes
"Someone that eclipses my power in the way a fledgling star; is made insignificant before the power of a a dozen supernovas. He is Lord Tzeentch's chosen champion, a one-eyed titan of unparalleled arcane might and majesty. The things he could do with the Immmaterium are beyond words, Kai Chisaki…Yet most of all his mind and wrath for those who disappoint him are immeasurable. So should you fail me, I will be using you and your men as collateral for a deal I want to have done on his part." Tzen'Char informed him regards to Magnus the Red
"Noted, Lord Tzen'Char. That being said, can I trust in you; to aid me in my endeavors?" Overhaul asked as the Daemon Prince took pause for a few moments before giving answer
"Given what can be acquired on your home world, and all of the fascinating ways that change and the strength of the Warp can be brought here. That I accept your deal, the knowledge and strength of Tzen'Chen shall be yours, Kai Chisaki. I will send to you aid as needed for your endeavor…But know this, that should you fail me and I do not possess this psychic and all others promised within my grasp; then you will meet your new master firsthand." Tzen'Char answered back
"Thank you, and I promise you on my very soul and Quirk, that I shall not fail you." Overhaul promised to the Daemon Prince in question
"Good, now then expect your aid to be sent to you; within 9 days, 9 hours, and 9 minutes time…Should you somehow be defeated even with the aid I shall gift you. Then your destiny shall be remolded into one where you will never know a permanent shape again. Your failure will see to it that you are fittingly…overhauled into something greater." Tzen'Char spoke to Overhaul who felt his heart stop for a brief moment in time at the threat
From therein Tzen'Char let out an otherworldly shriek that caused the distorted area around Overhaul to spiral and contort further, the world around him almost lurching, as the conglomeration of flesh, arcana, and blasphemous sorcery spiral in on and began to implode like a supernova turning into a black hole. Wherein Overhaul had to shield himself from the conglomeration that soon turned itself into a kalidescopic mismash of eldritch might and sorcereous power, that corona being such that it caused reality itself in the compound to scream and howl; as Tzen'Char returned to their domain alongside its bounty of 99 souls.
All the while, Overhaul found himself struggling to breathe as the Tzeentchian entity tore reality open; to return its domain, his heart pounding to the point his ribs hurt, his brain feeling as though it were burning from the intensity of psychic might so singularly focused on him, and his blood feeling as though it had chilled in his veins to the point it was difficult to even move. Yet, Overhaul knew that with his gamble that he would succeed, and while whatever forces this psychic upstart would have at his disposal would be powerful no doubt; against entities summoned from the great beyond…victory and his plans for change would be assured ninefold.
(4 hours later, 2:48 Am, Tokyo, Japan, 998. M41, June 29th)
Meanwhile, Izuku was currently stress eating his 3rd tub of ice cream and nursing a rather hefty bloody nose; what with him having felt such an immense psychic disturbance that it had him even still in a cold sweat from whatever could have caused such a thing.
"Izu, are you ok?...What are you doing up at nearly 3 in the morning?" Toga asked the green-haired Psyker
"I-I felt something that woke me up out of my sleep. I don't know what it was, Toga. But whatever it was, it felt wrong. It felt like something that should not exist tore itself into reality, and it made my stomach turn and nearly made me vomit from whatever it was." Izuku answered back as he scarfed down another spoonful of birthday cake flavored ice cream
"Maybe you should put down the ice cream, before you give yourself a brain freeze ok? Whatever you felt or saw when you were asleep is probably gone now. You're going to be just ok." Toga told the green-haired Psyker who still looked frazzled out of his mind
"...I just can't make sense of what was so powerful that I could feel it halfway across the city. All I do know, is that whatever it was…that it was powerful. Its just that I don't know how to explain it, or if I can even put it into words. All that I do know is that it is something foul, and wrong and just shouldn't be able to exist as something living." Izuku said back as in his tangled nerves over the psychic disturbance he had felt prior he had crushed the spoon in his hands into now molten electrified scrap
"Izuku, look at me…I want you to take my hands, take a deep breath, and keep focused on me." Toga spoke to her green-haired friend who did so and put his shaking hands into hers
"Now then, I don't know what has you so stressed out; that your down here going through this much ice cream. But what I do know, is that even if it comes back. That you, Twice, and everyone else at the Agency will fight it together. There is nothing that I know you cant beat, because no matter where you are or who you fight; everyone that's supporting you right now will be here for you when you need them. Even if we aren't there." Toga further spoke with a reassuring smile
"Thank you, Toga. That actually makes me feel a bit better." Izuku replied
"Hey, I am always happy to be here for a friend. I wouldn't be a good one to you, if I didn't make sure you were going to be ok…I love you as a friend, Izuku. No matter what happens, I always will no matter how bad things get." Toga told him as the green-haired Psyker smiled at those words
"You really are the worlds' most dangerous therapist." Izuku joked with a small laugh
"I know and if being a sidekick doesn't work out for me, I might just become a counselor…I can see it now, Himiko Toga therapist to the heroes!" Toga said semi-jokingly as Izuku couldn't help but chuckle from her optimism
"Is it wrong to say that you would make a killing at it?" Izuku asked
"Nope. Plus, I have one of the greatest heroes I know to help support if I do! There's not a hero in the world that I wouldn't want with me, if I wanted to do something other than you!" Toga answered back her smile and cheerful attitude being what Izuku needed to partially shake off his tangled nerves
"Thank you for coming down to make me feel better, it means a lot with everything going on." Izuku thanked the manic knife-wielding woman
"No problem, Izu…So what do we do now?" Toga wondered
"I could make us some ramen for early breakfast. I might as well so I can have something to settle my stomach after stress eating so much ice cream." Izuku suggested as his stomach rumbled semi-angrily in agreement from eating birthday cake, mint-choocolate chp, and pralines and cream ice cream
"I will help you; if it makes it go faster?" Toga volunteered
"That would be nice, thank you." Izuku said as he got up from the table and telekinetically disposed of the trio of ice cream tubs
As such in the hours that would follow from Izuku and Toga making an early breakfast ramen, did in the hours that would continue to follow from Tzen'Char's summoning on Zenthon would it be noticed and picked up upon by both Eldrad and Yvraine who in their efforts to pinpoint Izuku; had felt the psychic disturbance. What with it being just enough of a disturbance in the Warp to allow them to briefly pinpoint the location of the green-haired Psyker, and as such allow them to contact Lilith Hesperax of this breakthrough in information and make way towards Zenthon.
"On one hand, I do not know how to feel in regards to a disturbance in the Warp of this magnitude. Especially when it reeks of the Ruinous Powers being so close to our people's hope against She Who Thirsts. However, given that this is the best chance we have in regards to a breakthrough for the Ynnari to overcome them, I will take it." Eldrad spoke to Yvraine with concern etched into his voice
"Now all that remains is to not only hope that Hesperax can bring this Psyker to our side willingly. We must now hope that the disturbance in the Warp that I felt; that was of Tzeentch of all things does not kill, taint or worse yet corrupt them…A Psyker as powerful as what we are placing our hopes under, being corrupted under the Changer of Ways; would be catastrophic to say the least." Eldrad further spoke
"Have hope, Eldrad. I hold out such things in knowing that this boy will not fall. If his psychic strength was able to cause such disturbances in the Warp; that have caused the pet Primarch of Slaanesh to be at war with themselves, the plague spawn of Nurgle to weep from their gardens being sundered, and even the World Eaters from what has been reported; howling in madness and rage from their Nails screaming at the psychic feedback. Then I will hold out hope ever still that he will overcome; whatever is being beset upon them." Yvraine replied
"How is it that you can place such hopes in a boy, that by all accounts may not have even reached his 2nd decade? Someone such as that even with such immeasurable psychic might; will be met with an opposition that rare few come unscathed from." Eldrad questioned the leader of the Ynnari
"Simple, it is because hope is the sole thing we have held on in the face of insurmountable odds. It is simple hope that in spite of She Who Thirsts gluttonously consuming the souls of our fallen; that we have continued forward nonetheless. And it is through simple hope that I believe that this Psyker can and will persevere…I may not be able to see him beyond the veil of the Warp; that seems to shield him from our gaze. However, I will nonetheless believe that he shall overcome whatever machinations the followers of Tzeentch set before him…I must if what we are planning for him is to work." Yvraine answered back resolutely as though such things were simple fact
"It is quite strange to see someone who worships a god of the dead; place such immense faith in the living. Especially when you do not even know them." Eldrad spoke
"I may place my faith in Ynnead, in the hopes that in his resurrection that he will carry us to victory against Slaanesh. However, I will also place that same faith and hope in the living as well." Yvraine spoke as she looked at the star-filled void
"The living are what continues to push forward against the damnation of Chaos. They are what provides hope against the bleakness of this millennium, and against the crushing bloated carcass of the Imperium, to the infinite hordes of the Tyrannids, and the otherworldly wretches that follow Chaos…To not place faith and hope within the living, would be to dishonor and spit upon the memory of those that have died to ensure the safety thereof." Yvraine further spoke in her views in placing her hopes in the living
"...It is…welcoming in abundance to hear such reaffirimg words. After so many centuries of loss, seeing our people fight, die, and continue against odds so bleak and unfathomable in their depths. It is always good to hear a reassuring voice in our darkest hours." Eldrad replied with a wearisome smile
"That would be in part to my not having the luxury to afford losing hope. I cannot nor will not do such a thing, not when those who follow me; need me to stand strong in the face of what we are attempting to overcome. I have sworn to the Ynnari that we will see our deity brought back from the oblivion that have claimed so many others, and draw his strength to fell She Who Thirsts….To lose the hope that Slaanesh can finally die for their transgressions against us, is something I refuse to let die." Yvraine said back
"And if need be, Yvraine. I will do all that I am able too, to help keep the hope of your people alive. The chance to finally free ourselves from the Prince of Excess's grip upon our people; is one to great to pass up…Henceforth, I will reaffirm that my Craftworld will continue to aid you in whatever endeavors are needed to succeed in reviving Ynnead." Eldrad said to a thankful Yvraine
"Thank you, Eldrad, I truly do appreciate it…Also, have you managed to locate the final Crone Sword? I know that it has been months since its reappearance into real space. But nonetheless, finding it is incredibly important." Yvraine replied before questioning the wizened Farseer
"As it stands we are still searching for it. Do understand that, while it is an incredibly powerful artifact; that it is also embedded within a planet amidst thousands upon tens of thousands of planets. As such there is an incredible amount of ground that needs to be covered still." Eldrad informed her in regards to the search for the final Crone Sword
"That is understandable. Even with a considerable number of our most potent Psykers to aid in locating it. There is only so much that can be done…I just hope that we can find it before the forces of Slaanesh can." Yvraine spoke in not wanting their chance at claiming their prize to slip through their fingers once more
"Do not worry, my friend. We will locate it soon enough, and once we do. We shall stand one step closer towards the goal of defeating our millenia's long adversary." Eldrad replied
"Then let us hope we are the first to reach it, and not the Prince of Excesss's Daemonettes, nor her puppet Legion and Primarch." Were Yvraine's words as she continued to look to the star-filled void with hope for her people
And so with Izuku having successfully fended off his would-be assassin; with the aid of Lady Nagant and Ursus Major; we also see that a desperate Overhaul makes a last-ditch gamble to defeat Izuku by calling upon the powers of a Tzeentchian Daemon Prince to eliminate the thorn in his side…As such the question becomes of how Izuku will deal with an Overhaul who is reinforced by the strength of the Great Conspirator? Well stay tuned and find out in the all-new installments of, My Psyker Academia!

Now then onto the reviews from the previous chapter.
Kourtney Uzu Yato: Glad you like how I'm depicting Izuku becoming more confident, because something I realized while writing this is that a more confident Izuku is actually terrifying to go up against considering that; he now knows that he can beat you and that its just a matter of when he can do so...Which has led me to drafting up another MHA idea where a Vigilante Izuku (who has Generator Rex's powers) teams up with Shigaraki to shake up the Hero world under All for One's purview. Yeah, as once Sanguinius wakes up..oooohhh boy is he gonna feel the weight of how bad things are in the 41st millenium; especially when he ventures out to Holy Terra, since the trip between Baal and Terra is a lot to see how much the Imperium has fallen from grace. Also, Izuku's fan-club is just gonna get bigger in the aftermath of the Overhaul arc, because he now is a beacon for vigilantes to take up arms even further and its just going to get more intensive for him as their symbol as the story goes on because Izuku's ideals are going to cause more to join and take the fight to villains. Also, Quirk Zombies will definitely show up during the USJ event because...something besides Nomu's have to give Class 1-A that reality check that Hero work ain't a joke...so expect for someone to possibly die as a fair word of warning, because Shigaraki is gonna be a PROBLEM when it comes up. Furthermore, with Stain being in Slaanesh's clutches a lot of people are gonna get worse than what they did in canon, I'm talking closed-casket funerals at worst, which is why Shoto getting his act together is important. Because if Izuku fails to do so before Stain gets to him and Stain being roided out by Slaanesh sees Shoto not doing his best as an aspiring hero...then Stain to put simply will just straight up take Shoto's bones, so pray that Izuku gets Shoto to shape up before then...Other than that glad you like the story so far, and I have also brought back and rebooted one of my old Naruto's stories from way back when called You'll Never Keep me Down.
Skull Flame: Yeah, Slaanesh has gotten to Stain and it was not hard at all to get to him; given how obsessed he is with creating heroes that are to the standard of his idol, and all I can say is that it is gonna be ROUGH for Tenya once we get to Stain. Concerning Overhaul being alive, well you now know who in the Ruinous Powers' branch of things has been helping him stay alive, because thanks to Izuku he's now pulling off the gambit of asking a Daemon Prince for an assist. On top of that Toga would go full John Wick for Eri, because hey, she now has an adorable little sister figure to watch out for and as such will go on a rampage to make sure she's safe. In addition to this, the Emperor's Children kidnapping Iron Hands marines for Vashtorr is something I plan on expanding on, because you gotta remember with their Primarch pretty much screwed up, their Patron Gods' domain and her Daemons jacked up by Izuku's awakening, they are getting rough, and as such Eidolon who is spearheading this is making sure that his Legion is going to have something to make sure they aren't on the backfoot for long. Hence why they are kidnapping Iron Hands Marines for Vashtorr and for what the Arkifane is going to use them for...well who says Space Marines who are more machine than man can't become Daemon Engines. Also, I'm glad you like the Vigilante OC's I've introduced so far, because I have plans for them to show back up when Stain comes into play.
