Monday morning came, and Riyo was heading out the door on his way to school. As he walked, he couldn't help but think of how much his life had changed lately.
"Riyo-Kun!"
Riyo stopped and looked over seeing Asuka and the Hanzo girls coming over.
"Oh, hey, guys!"
"How are you this morning?" Ikaruga asked.
"Feeling on top of the world. How about you guys?"
"We thought we'd walk to school with you. That is if you don't mind." Hibari smiled.
Riyo shrugged. "Why not? I appreciate the company."
As the six walked together, Katsuragi slid up to Riyo with a playful smirk on her face.
"So, how'd ya sleep last night?"
Riyo yawned. "Like a baby."
Asuka smiled. "I'm glad. After that fiasco you went through last night you deserved the rest."
"To think a Yoma would just up and attack you right out of the gate..." Yagyuu muttered.
"Yeah, hopefully, I don't have to see another one of those things for a while at least."
"Well, if you're ever in any trouble, don't forget your Onee-Chans are here to help you~" Katsuragi purred flirtatiously as she leaned closer to Riyo.
When they arrived outside the school building, every student who saw them approach was without a doubt shocked. What shocked them was the fact that Riyo was hanging out with five of the hottest girls in school.
"Oh my god, I wish I had his luck!"
"He actually hooked up with Ikaruga?! How did he do that?!"
"Awww man, as if he couldn't be any more unattainable!" A random girl had cried all of a sudden.
Riyo couldn't help but feel awkward at all the gossip going around but the Hanzo girls kept a level head for the most part.
"Alright, after school, let's meet up at Kiraya-Sensei's dojo," Asuka said.
"You got it!" Katsuragi winked.
"We hope to see you there, Riyo?" Ikaruga asked as the monkey boy nodded.
"Sure. Wouldn't miss it for the world.
School went by without much incident. Ever since he got his tail, Riyo had it wrapped around his waist like a belt, similar to how the Saiyans did it in Dragon Ball Z. When the day finally came to an end, Riyo was waiting in the hallway when he saw Yagyuu walk by.
"Good, you're here. Come on, let's get going."
"Coming!" Riyo beamed.
As they walked down the hall, Riyo couldn't help but notice Yagyuu stealing glances at him with her one available eye.
"Is there something on my face?"
"No...I'm just curious about something." The albino said. "You were given these amazing powers out of nowhere and yet you've adjusted to them so well. Why is that?"
Riyo rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. He wasn't really sure how to explain it, he felt like the powers of Sun Wukong had just come second nature to him as soon as he got into the swing of his training.
"Well, I don't know, I guess I got Sun Wukong's fighting experience too." He said, trying to make a joke.
Yagyuu hummed. "Hibari-Chan greatly looks up to you, you know?"
"Wait, she does?"
"Ever since she saw you defend an underclassman from bullies that one day, she would always tell us how cool you were," Yagyuu explained. "And considering I hold Hibari close to my heart...I felt a little jealous."
"Oh, sorry..."
"Don't be. If anything, now that I've gotten to know you..." Yagyuu gave a small blush. "I've sort of seen just why she admires you so much."
Riyo blushed right back. "Wow, the strong, silent, deadly Yagyuu actually thinks I'm cool? I don't know what to say."
"Don't push it."
After arriving at Kirya's secret dojo, Riyo decided to try his hand at some meditation, hanging upside-down by his tail with his legs crossed together and standing as still as he could.
"Riyo-Kun?"
Opening one eye, Riyo saw that Hibari was standing there, having been as quiet as possible so as not to accidentally startle him.
"Oh, hey Hibari, what's up?" He flipped back onto his feet. "Sorry, I was just getting into the zone."
"S-Sorry, but I just wanted to know if...well...if you wanted to go on a date with me and Yagyuu-Chan."
"This is sudden, why ask now?" Riyo asked, though he was flattered.
"Well...Yagyuu tends to get a little...obsessed with me sometimes. I was hoping with you there, maybe she would calm down."
Riyo arched an eyebrow, it was true that Yagyuu and Hibari were the closest to each other out of all the Hanzo girls, but he didn't think things were THAT close between them. Still, if Hibari was worried about Yagyuu getting too possessive, he would help her out as a good friend should.
"Tell me what time and I'll be there."
Yagyuu was surprisingly not as upset as Hibari and Riyo feared when she learned it was going to be a three-way date between them. The trio had gone to get ice cream together and Hibari, being the childish girl she was, had opted to play on the swings afterward.
"You're probably wondering why I obsess about Hibari so much..."
Riyo perked up, still in the midst of eating his ice cream as he turned to Yagyuu.
"It's because...she reminds me of someone I lost a long time ago."
"Oh, I'm...I'm sorry to hear that."
"It's also the reason I wear this eyepatch," Yagyuu explained, putting a hand over it. "The ribbon used to tie it belonged to my little sister, who was killed in a car accident. It's a reminder to never forget her memory."
Riyo was shocked, it seemed that the albino had a deeper reason for wearing that eyepatch than he expected. Now he was feeling like a bit of a dick for initially assuming she was just a Chuuni.
"That's pretty powerful of you. Dad always said that a person only truly dies when they are forgotten." Riyo said. "The way you're doing it, you're keeping your sister's spirit alive."
Yagyuu looked at Riyo with slight surprise before giving a small thankful smile as she returned to watching Hibari just having fun and enjoying life.
"Thank you...Riyo-Kun."
Figured I'd show Riyo bonding with Yagyuu and Hibari. If you have any ideas for how he could bond with Asuka, Ikaruga, and Katsuragi, say so in the comments, please!
