Chapter 1: Our Awakening. (Part 1)

'Thoughts.'

April 7th, 2009. 7:00 AM. Dorm, 2nd Floor, Makoto's Room.

*Music: Persona 3 Reload OST: Iwatodai Dorms-Reload*

*3rd Person P.O.V.*

After all the craziness that happened on the way to his new home, Makoto wakes up, takes a shower, brushes his teeth, washes his face with soap, puts on Gekkoukan's uniform, and gathers his schoomaterials in his bag. He's now fixing his hair in the mirror, when he heard his door being knocked.

"Hey, it's Takeba. Are you awake?" Yukari asked from outside.

"Good morning. I'm coming." Makoto answered as he walked over and opened the door for Yukari. Takeru was behind her, having a huge smile on his face.

"Good morning! Did you sleep okay?" Yukari asked with a smile. Makoto nodded with a small smile of his face. Takeru decided to comment about his sleeping arrangements for the night:

"I don't know about you, Makoto-nii, but I slept like a baby last night! That bed sure was nice and cozy!"

"Glad you liked it, Takeru-kun." Yukari said with a smile.

"Don't mention it, Takeba-senpai!" Takeru's smile widened even more. She turned her attention back to Takeru's brother.

"I've been asked to show you guys the way to school. Are you guys ready to go?" She asked the two of them. Takeru nodded, but showed concern.

"Yeah… We better not waste any time. If Kirijo-san finds out that we were both late to school on our first day…" He shudders, thinking of the consequences. Makoto nodded with a frown.

"Yeah… But, I'm ready to go."

"Great! Then, let's head out."

"Again, show us the way, Takeba-senpai!" Then, the three friends head out of the dorm, to get to Iwatodai Station to go to Gekkoukan High School.

*Music Ends.*

April 7th, 2009. 7:30 AM. Monorail Anehazuru.

As the Yuki Bros. and Yukari are traveling to the school, some of the students are seen talking to each other, or on their phones. The trains were packed, so they had nowhere to sit down.

"This is how we get to school everyday. It's a monorail! Cool, isn't it?" Yukari told them.

"Yep! Sure is! We rode one to get here in the first place, so I think that's also cool!" Takeru replied.

"I honestly love the ride here. It almost feels like we're flying over the ocean." Yukari said, looking at the window. Makoto looked outside with her. T.K only manged to take a little peek.

"Whoa… You're right! And the ocean is so blue! It's beautiful…" Takeru stared at the ocean with stars in his eyes. Makoto nodded in agreement.

"Oh, by the way, our school's at the last stop on this line. It's on Tatsumi Port Island, you guy's hometown." She told them.

"Man… It's gonna be surreal going to a school in our hometown again…" Takeru said, with a nervous tone. Makoto puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, T.K. You'll be fine. I'll be there." Makoto reassured him.

"Anyways, The whole island's man made, and our school's right in the middle of it all." Yukari continued to explain. As they pass through a tunnel, the school's now visible in the distance.

"Oh! There it is now!" Yukari points out. The brothers look at where she's looking, and see a massive building in the middle.

"Whoa… That's what our new school looks like? So cool!" Takeru excitedly exclaimed. After that, they enjoyed the rest of the trip in silence.

April 7th, 2009. 8:00 AM. Gekkoukan High School, Entrance.

After the long monorail trip, Makoto, Takeru and Yukari have arrived at the gates of Gekkoukan High School, where their new school year will begin. The gates are filled with students who are all greeting each other on the way to the building.

"Morning!" A girl said to Yukari as she zoomed by on her bike.

"Morning!" She greeted back. Then, she ran ahead of the brothers, and stopped at the middle of the gates, where cherry blossom petals were falling onto the ground. Some of them were on the grass on the sides.

"Well, here we are. Allow me to welcome you to Gekkoukan High School. I hope you like it!"

Yukari said with a smile that it looked like it was radiating under the sun.

"*Whistle…* Well, Nii-san, I get the feeling that this is going to be a great year for us!" Takeru said with a determined grin.

"Heh. You said it, T.K." Makoto honestly agreed.

*Music: Want To Be Close-Reload.*

After gawking in awe at the beautiful cherry blossoms on the way, we entered the school building. We walked over to our lockers and changed our shoes. That's when Takeba-senpai gets our attention.

"You'll be okay on your own from here, right boys?"

"Yeah. I think we'll be fine. Isn't that right, Nii-san?"

"Yes."

"Let's see… I think you should go see your homeroom teachers first." Takeba-senpai told us.

"Alright. Do you know where the faculty office is?" I asked.

"The faculty office is over there on the left. They'll tell you more on the way there." She said, as she pointed to our location.

"Your left, or my left? *chuckle*" I joked, trying to lighten up the mood, which was working. Makoto did a quiet laugh, while Takeba-senpai started to giggle for a little bit.

"Very funny, Takeru-kun." She said with a sassy tone in her voice. She quickly gets back on track to tell us where some places of the school are.

"On the right, there's a corridor with multiple classrooms that are used for clubs. And passing through the doors takes you to the courtyard. That's where the gym, swimming pool, and track fields are."

"Well, that about does it. Any questions before I go?" She asked.

"Which class are you in, Takeba-san?" Makoto asked her back.

"I'm asking you the same thing. I really hope that you guys are in the same classroom…" I

said with a frown, hoping that these two become classmates.

"Me? I dunno… I haven't checked the classroom assignments yet… But, it could happen, Takeru-kun."

"A boy can dream. Right?"

"Yeah." Suddenly, Takeba-senpai started to feel concerned about something.

"Hey. About last night… Don't tell anybody what you saw. Okay?" She warned.

"You mean what happened at the dorm? Of course. Our lips are sealed." I reassured her.

I then formed a zipper-like motion in my mouth. Not to brag, but I'm good at keeping secrets.

'Well, It's not like anyone would believe us if we tell them we saw a creepy kid in a disturbing atmosphere where the sky turned green at midnight…' I mumbled in my head.

"Okay then. See you!" She said, as she walked away, maybe to check the classroom assignments, or maybe to join a club.

"Before we go to the faculty office, let's see the classroom assignments at the notice board over there." I said to Makoto, as we walked towards It. We searched and searched.

"Hmm… Still nothing. Let's look some more." We looked around some more, and found our names on a small note! Man, that was close!

"Found it! Makoto, you're in Class 2-F. While I'm in Class 1-D." I told him. We decided to look around the school, and we overheard some students talking. One of them was nagging about not being in the class of the teacher he liked, others was a girl scolding a jock by going to school with the School jersey instead of his uniform, an overseas student getting trolled by the samurai helm wearing history teacher, and a cute girl with glasses getting lost, but she was in front of the library.

April 7th, 2009. 8:55 AM. Gekkoukan High School, 1st Floor, Faculty Office.

After walking around the school and getting acquainted with its layout, we have just entered the faculty office. I'll try to get some of the teacher's attention.

"Excuse me! Good morning!" Two teachers noticed us. One of them was a woman who also had brunette hair, but unlike Takeba-senpai's hair, her hair was longer. She was wearing a light brown suit, and was carrying a clipboard. The other one was another woman, but she looks much younger than the first one. She was wearing a cyan almost turquoise suit, had long black hair, wears glasses, and has a hairpin that's shaped like the roman number XII. She was also holding a clipboard.

"Oh! Are you two new students?" The first teacher asked.

"That we are!" I said with a smile. She then went to check the contents that were written on the clipboard and asked:

"Makoto Yuki, and Takeru Yuki. You're both a second-year, and first-year respectively, correct?

"That's right, Teach." I answered her question.

"Excuse me, but… Are you two related somehow?" The second teacher asked.

"Yep! We're brothers. Makoto is the older brother, while I'm the younger brother." Makoto nods to confirm my claim. The first teacher continued to check our info.

"Wow, You've lived in a lot of different places, you two."

"But your hometown is right here. Why did you decide to come back home so suddenly?" The second teacher asked.

"Well… You see, things happened and circumstances have changed. That's why we decided to move back." I vaguely explained.

'Because I'm still trying to find my sister…' I added in my head.

"I understand." The second teacher understood with a smile. Then the first teacher tried to get our attention again.

"Alright, back to me. Let's see… Ten years ago, your parents–" She started. But then, she started to get nervous and feeling a little sympathetic. Looks like she was checking about what happened to our parents. I knew where this was going…

"*Deep Sigh…* Yeah, I know… My parents died in an accident on the Moonlight Bridge. We

got out of there with minor injuries, of course, we got help at the last second. I still don't know how are we still alive, but I don't care. I'm used to it." I said with a solemn expression. Makoto rubbed my back to console me.

"I'm sorry. Our condolences." The second teacher apologized. But I waved her off.

"Like I said, I'm used to this. So don't feel bad."

"I'm sorry… I've been so busy, I didn't have the time to read this beforehand." The first teacher also apologized.

"I'm Ms. Toriumi. I teach Composition. Welcome to our school." The first teacher, now known as Ms. Toriumi, introduced herself and welcomed us to the school at the same time. Then, it was time for the second one to introduce herself.

"And my name is Ms. Ayasaki. I'm teaching the Japanese Language. And a welcome to our school from me!" Ms. Ayasaki said with enthusiasm.

"Nice to meet you!" Me and my brother said at the same time, and I pointed that out.

"Jinx! You owe me a soda for that!"

"I don't care." He ignored. I'm really getting frustrated….

"*Facepalm* Urrrrrggghh…" The two teachers smiled at our antics.

"Wow, such enthusiasm!" Ms. Toriumi commented.

"And, you two seem to get along really well!"

'*sigh* If only, Ms. Ayasaki…' I sadly thought.

"Have you seen the classroom assignments? You're in 2-F; Makoto-kun. That's my class."

Ms. Toriumi said to us.

"While you, Takeru-kun, You're in 1-D. And that is my class."

"Alright, we met our teachers and we know our classroom assignments. So… What next?" I asked.

"Well, first, we need to go to the auditorium. The Welcoming Ceremony will be starting soon." Ms. Toriumi instructed. I feel like I'm going to have a migraine…

'Of course. This is going to be so boring…'

"Now then, would you please follow us?" Ms. Ayasaki kindly asked. We nodded, and we made our way to the auditorium to see the boring ceremony. Oh joy...

April 7th, 2009. 5:30 PM. Gekkoukan High School, Classroom 2-F.

*Makoto's P.O.V.*

(A/N: Decided to skip the auditorium scene because it wouldn't change anything by adding Takeru there. It's a little bit redundant.)

After watching that boring ceremony with T.K, I decided to grab my things and get ready to go back to the dorm.

'T.K was right to complain about the ceremony. That fat principal sounded like he loved the sound of his own voice.' I complained. I was just about ready to leave the classroom when:

"'Sup, dude! How's it goin'?" I was approached by a boy who was wearing a cap, and he had agoatee. He's my classmate. I just stare at him for a while.

"What, Don't look at me like that!" He said with a wide smile.

"...And you are?"

"Me? Call me Junpei. Junpei Iori." Junpei introduced himself.

"Makoto Yuki." I lazily introduced myself.

"Good to meet ya! I transferred here when I was a second-year in middle school. It's pretty tough being the new kid at first, y'know? So I wanted to say 'Hey!' See what a nice guy I am?" He explained as he got closer to me.

"Personal space." I calmly told him.

"Oh, sorry! Force of habit." Junpei said as he scratched his head. We then turn around to

see Takeba-san walking towards us. She sighed.

"Hey, it's Yuka-tan! Didn't think we would be in the same class again!" Junpei said.

"*sigh* There you go again, acting like everybody's best friend…" She said with a disgusted face.

"Try not to make him uncomfortable, okay?"

"What? I was just bein' friendly." Junpei says with a look of shock.

"If you say so." Yukari then turned to look at me.

"Anyway, who'd have thought we'd be in the same homeroom?" She asked with a smile.

"Yeah, I know. Didn't expect that." I replied with a non-noticeable small smile.

"Funny, huh?" She giggled.

"It must be fate." I said in a very monotonous dramatic tone. Making Yukari laugh.

"Fate? Yeah, right. *giggle*" She responded in sassiness. Junpei started to feel ignored,(As he should be.) and tried to get our attention again.

"Um, hello? Are you forgetting I'm in the same class too?" We then saw the classroom doors opening, and… Guess who was behind them?

"Hello there, Senpais! What's up?! Yep. T.K's here to brighten everyone's day... Except mine. But he never ceases to put a smile on my face. He noticed us, and walked over to my desk.

"Hey, T.K. How was your classes?"

"It was a snap. Teachers don't give a lot of work on the first day. And you, Mako-nii? Did you fall asleep during class again? I swear, you're always seen as a slacker, but you always get good grades. Somehow…" T.K told me about his day and complained to me.

"*chuckle* Yeah. Actually, not today, no. Maybe I find my classes to be a little interesting..." This honestly surprises him, Making a shocked face, not expecting to hear that from me.

"Huh. Okay then." He then notices Takeba-san.

"Hey! Takeba-senpai! I knew you guys would be in the same class! It makes me happy. Would you care to introduce me to your friend?" He asked while pointing at Junpei.

"Alright then. Takeru-kun, this is Junpei Iori. He's been my classmate for a while now."

"Well, nice to meet ya, Iori-senpai! The name's Takeru. Takeru Yuki. But you can call me T.K My brother calls me that." T.K extended his hand for Junpei to shake, which he did so with a smile.

"Likewise, T.K! Call me Junpei. Man, can't believe you two are brothers. You two act so differently from each other!"

"*chuckle* Yeah, everyone told us that already, but we're used to it. So… What were you guys talking about?" He asked, tilting his head for a bit.

"It was nothing in particular." I answered.

"We were just surprised that we got in the same homeroom and became classmates." Takeba-san finished. Then, Junpei changes the topic of the conversation by asking:

"Anyway, I gotta ask. I heard you guys walked to school together. What's up with that? C'mon, gimme the dirt!" He said with a glint in his eyes.

'Wow. Not even ONE day in school, and people started to spread rumors about us. *sigh*' I mentally facepalmed.

"Huh?! What are you talking about?" Yukari is a little shocked.

"Junpei-senpai. It's not what you think. We were just going to school normally. Right, Aniki?" Takeru added his two yen on the matter.

"T.K's right, Junpei. We just met yesternight, after all. We don't have THAT kind of a

relationship at the moment." I said, with ny eyes closed.

'Yet…' I unconsciously added.

"Listen to them! We just happen to live in the same dorm. Why do people always jump to these kinds of conclusions?" She exclaimed.

"Have rumors been spreading about this already? Now I'm worried…"

"Man. That's a new Record. On our first day at a new school, in our hometown no less,

And we already have rumors about us spreaded all around the school. Never underestimate the professional Teenager Gossip Network of Japan, I guess…. Why am I not surprised about this… *sigh*" T.K Shook his head in frustration. I rubbed his back in consolation.

"I agree with you, Otouto. That is such a hassle…" Then Yukari pulled us away from Junpei, and started whispering:

"Hey… You guys didn't tell anyone about… you know what, did you?" She asked. Of course, referring to what happened at the Dorm.

"I didn't." I answered honestly.

"Not a soul." T.K added. Yukari sighs in relief.

"Okay, good. Seriously… Don't say anything about last night, okay?" Out of nowhere, T.K

Flinched. Very hard. Oh no...

"Guh! Takeba-senpai! You might want to pay attention to your phrasing! We've got witnesses, here!" He whisper-yelled. Unfortunately for the two of them, Junpei heard everything, gets shocked, and went silent.

"Ah, Crap-baskets…" T.K mumbled as he put a hand in his face, not facepalming for once, in

disappointment. Here we go...

"What?" Both me and T.K did the "Really?" Face to her. Didn't she notice it yet? Junpei looked at us, sweatdropped, and nervously said:

"Last night…?" At that point, he started to misunderstand what she said. I noticed Takeru sneaking behind him to do something, but I don't know what. Yukari finally noticed what was wrong, and gets very flustered and shocked!

"Wait a minute! Don't get the wrong idea!"

'I think it's too late for that, Yukari…' I grumbled mentally. Then…

*SLAP!*

"Ow!!" Junpei cried in pain. T.K pretended to cringe, thinking on how to cover up that he smacked his head on purpose.

"Oooooh… Sorry, Man. There was a fly in your back, and I tried to kill it. Did it hurt? You okay?" Takeru

"explained", and "asked" in concern.

"Nah. It's okay, T.K. Thanks." Junpei appreciated it, not knowing his true intentions. I mentally smirked at my brother, feeling proud.

'*chuckle* You haven't changed at all, Otouto.' I chuckled silently, honestly, this is a thing he

would do to people who misunderstand certain things.

"Listen!!" Our attention is drawn back to Yukari, as she cried out in frustration.

"I just met them yesterday, and there's absolutely nothing between us!"

"There you have it. Straight from the horse's mouth." T.K. said, as he got a book to the face by Yukari.

"HEY! WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" She yelled, having whited out eyes and shark teeth.

"It was a figure of speech!" T.K explained with a black eye on his face. The four of us laughed at our antics. Then, Otouto continued:

"As I was saying, rumors are just rumors. Don't go believing what people tell you. 98.9% of the time is all false."

"Yep." I agreed with him.

"Geez… I have to go now. There's something to take care of for the archery team. You better not start any more rumors!" Yukari scolded. Mostly to Junpei. But for us, it seems like she's busy. As she turned around and was about to walk away, T.K puts a hand to her shoulder, stopping her.

"Hold it. Senpai, you said "Archery team." Do we have clubs at this school?" He asked.

"Yeah, we have! Why do you ask?" Yukari asked him back.

"I've been curious… Is there a Kendo Team in this school? I wanted to see if I could improve my skills. I've been feeling a little rusty lately…" I scoffed at this.

' "Rusty?" Yeah, right.'

"There is! But, you'll have to wait until the 23rd to join. Tough luck." She said to him. He feels a little disappointed, and exclaimed:

"The 23rd?! That's in like two whole weeks! Oh man…" Junpei pats his shoulder and encourages him with a big smile:

"Hey, don't sweat it, T.K! These two weeks will go by in a flash! You'll see!"

"Heh. Yeah, you're right. Thanks, Junpei-senpai!" T.K and Junpei fistbumped. They are really becoming fast friends. Then, Yukari noticed T.K's Kendo Shinai.

"Oh yeah! Takeru-kun. I never noticed until now, but why are you carrying around that shinai everywhere?"

"Oh, this? He lifted it up for everyone to see.

"This old thing here was the first Shinai I ever got when I first started attending my Kendo Lessons. I call it: "Blazing Courage."(JP: Moeru Yuki.) It's a memento from my late dad."

"Really? That's impressive!" Yukari was amazed.

"Well, dude, do you have any stories relating to your time in Kendo?" Junpei asked, feeling a little interested to know about my little bro's achievements.

"Oh yeah! One time in Middle School, there was a national Kendo tournament coming up in a few months at one of the places that we lived at. We lived with our grandparents during that time. When I learned this, I begged my grandpa to let me sign in. And he did! I trained day and night, Rain or shine. And then, when the day of the tournament arrived, I managed to win the whole thing! I still have the Trophy to this day!" T.K Excitedly told his story to everyone. Then, I decided to add one extra detail:

"However, in the middle of his training montage, He pushed himself so hard, He collapsed due to exhaustion and fell face first in the mud. He takes his training VERY seriously. I laughed so hard at him that day." Hearing this, T.K gets red in anger and embarrassment, and yelled:

"Nobody asked you, Makoto!! Don't embarrass me in front of my senpais!" I causally roll my eyes and lazily say:

"Whatever."

"Urgghh!! *sigh* Anyways, that's all for today. I will tell more stories later whenever I feel like it. Maybe even tomorrow if I am in a good mood. Sorry for taking up your time,

Takeba-senpai." T.K Apologized, feeling a little bashful.

"*giggle* It's okay! I enjoyed it, actually. But yeah. I better get going, before the teacher

notices I'm late. Remember. Don't. Start. Any more. Rumors. Got it?" Yukari waved it off, but that last part was more like a threat to Junpei. And after that, she left.

"Ah, who cares? No one takes rumors seriously anyway. She's so paranoid." He said with a frown, but then brightened up again.

"But man, that was one hell of a story, T.K! You HAVE to tell me more of those stories on lunch break tomorrow!"

"You can count on it!" T.K eagerly said.

"But, man! It's your first day here, and people are already talkin' about ya! Believe it or not,

she's actually pretty popular. You da man, dudes!"

"Yeah. I can definitely see that. She's got the looks for it, too. And she's nice. Must've

captured a lot of the guys' hearts." T.K agreed, nodding his head.

'They are not the only ones…' I unconsciously thought.

"Well, here's to a fun school year, guys!" Junpei offered a fistbump. The three of us did a triangle fistbump together.

"You guys ready to head out? We can walk to the station together." He offered.

"Yeah! That'd be cool!" T.K agreed. We then proceed to head out of the school.

*3rd Person P.O.V*

The three friends walked out of the classroom, and decided to look around the school some more. They overheard a male student council member and a 3rd year student with glasses and brown hair talking about something. They went to the courtyard outside to see an out of place tree. It's hard to know what fruit the tree is growing, but they'll find out later. After that, they went straight to the entrance.

April 7th, 2009. 5:47 PM. Gekkoukan High School, Entrance.

The Yuki Brothers and Junpei were walking down to the gates, talking about food, games, and other stuff. In the background, there was a 3rd student with white/silver-ish hair and a bandaid on his forehead. He is wearing a Red shirt with white sleeves on top of his normal Gekkoukan pants. He was surrounded by three girls, being pestered by them. As the three friends arrived at the gates, They saw a group of jock running by. Maybe they are doing some kind of running practice. Junpei decided to comment about that:

"Oh, check out the jocks on their run…"

"Judging by the Jersey, I think they are a part of the Track Team." Takeru guessed. Junpei

then turns to Makoto, and asks him:

"Say, Makoto. You thinkin' about joinin' a club?" But then he remembered:

"Oh wait. I forgot. New members gotta wait awhile before they can apply."

"That's a shame." Makoto said, feeling disappointed.

"Yeah. And from what I heard from Takeba-senpai, we've gotta wait two weeks for us to join. It's on April 23rd." Takeru depressingly said. Junpei pats his back.

"Don't feel down, T.K! It'll go by quickly! Anyway, your stop is at Iwatodai, right?" He

reassured him and asked at the same time.

"Yeah. We're living in the dorms." Makoto replied.

"Dorms, man… Must be nice! Talk about livin' life wild and free."

"You can say that again, Senpai!" Takeru agreed. After that, the three walked out of the

school gates to go to Port Island station, and left school entirely.

April 7th, 2009. 6:15 PM. Iwatodai Station.

Arriving at the station, the three friends got out of the train. At the entrance, Junpei said his goodbyes.

"Well, I'm going this way, so see ya tomorrow, dudes!" He waved and walked away.

"See you later, Junpei!" Takeru said back.

"Bye-bye." Makoto lazily said.

"Well, wanna hit Octopia? I'm craving some Takoyaki tonight." Takeru offered, his stomach starting to rumble.

"You always eat Takoyaki after school, T.K. You never get tired of it?" Makoto complained.

"*chuckle* Nope! It's so yummy! C'mon! It's my treat!"

"*sigh* Okay. I'm convinced. Let's go."

The Yuki brothers ate some Takoyaki, talked about recent events that happened, like school, their new friends, etc. They goofed off for a while at the strip mall. When they saw that it's getting dark out, they went back to the dorms.

"We're back!" I announced. Kirijo-san started to walk towards us.

"Ah, welcome back, you two. How was your first day at school?" She asked.

"Not too bad." Aniki answered.

"It was a snap! The teachers didn't do a lot of work for us to study. Mostly, it was just a lot of introductions and pretty easy lessons." I said with enthusiasm.

"I see. Well, don't hesitate to ask your classmates for help if you need it." Kirijo-san advised.

"Oh, my apologies. I didn't mean to keep you here. You've had a long day, so get some rest." She continued. I then stretched.

"*yaaaaaawwwwnnn…* Oh yeah, now I'm feeling the tiredness coming… You're right. Time to hit the hay. See you tomorrow, Kirijo-san." As we started to walk to our rooms, we see Takeba-chan at the table. We decided to talk for a bit.

"Hey, Takeba-chan!"

"Oh!, hi boys. What're you doing?" She asked.

"Just looking around." Makoto answered.

"Yeah. And I've noticed that there's nothing to do here, except studying at the table." I added.

"Well, there's not much to see… Well, you're probably pretty tired after your first day, huh?

Maybe you guys should go to bed early tonight."

"We were doing just that. I'll see ya at school, Takeba-chan!" I said.

"Good night." Makoto added.

"Have a good night, you two!" She waved. We then went upstairs and went to bed. Some time later, Takeba-chan also headed to her room.

Mitsuru was reading a book by the couch, when the white haired 3rd year student approached her. He was looking at her.

"I'm going out for a bit." He said.

"Hm?" She lifted her head from the book, to look at him.

"Have you seen the newspapers lately? There's a lot going on." He continued.

"I know. Severe cases of Apathy Syndrome me are suddenly developing in people who

showed no symptoms prior… It's been quite a topic of discussion." Mitsuru stated, thinking about what's happening.

"They say it's due to stress, but…"

"Yeah, right. It's gotta be them. Otherwise, they aren't worth my time." The confident student interrupted with a confident smirk. Mitsuru shakes her head.

"You have a one-track mind… Will you be okay out there on your own?"

"Don't worry. I'm just getting a little practice." He then went out of the dorm to do some late night practice… or eat ramen. Mitsuru closes her eyes and sighed in tiredness.

"...This isn't a game, Akihiko."
