Gehenna Academy

It's quiet and warm.

The sound of birds chirping and pen scratching the desk is oddly soothing, contrasting to the noise of his childhood dorm which normally consists of banging noise and eerily nothing.

This causes Kyosuke to grunt and sit up, finding himself on a couch that is surprisingly comfortable as if he's being cared for.

To his surprise, he sees a white haired petite girl with purple cracked black horns and a halo that is unusual like it's a black cylinder with purple lines on it. That horned petite is busy with a pile of paperwork, something that is unusual for a student.

As Kyosuke Picks out his Shittim Chest device, he sees a student ID that matches the appearance of a petite.

"Ah, Um… Ahem! Excuse me." Kyosuke finally speaks out as he stands up and is then in front of the desk.

"Hm?" The girl is attentive towards the man as she's curious to see him up and refreshed.

"You're Sorasaki Hina, right?" Kyosuke asks, surprising Hina as she's caught doing something to a person she saved. "Thank you."

"Eh?" Hina halts after Kyosuke thanks her.

"I mean you really shouldn't have to, but thank you very much. Must've been tiring dragging me all the way to your academy." Kyosuke laughs while trying to be genuine.

"I-... It's okay… Ahem! Anyway, you're in terrible shape when I was heading home. You're lucky you weren't injured. I don't know where you live, but the least I can do is to help you recover." Hina said calmly.

"That's all I need. I couldn't thank you enough Hina-san." Kyosuke bows with gratitude.

Before Kyosuke leaves, he finds out that his bandages are white as if they're fresh.

"Sorasaki-san."

"Yeah?" Hina raises her head while being called.

"My bandages. Did you change them?" Kyosuke asks, not mad, but curious.

"Sensei… Why hide it from us? There's no need to hide it if you're okay." Said Hina.

Before Hina continues her paperwork, Kyosuke leans closer to Hina, knowing that she's been doing all this for his sake.

"I appreciate your concern, but don't tell anyone about my history." Kyosuke then whispers to Hina about his past, only for Hina to gasp and look at Kyosuke, flabbergasted by who Kyosuke was.

"U-... Understand. I won't tell, but you must tell everyone what happened to you if they saw you like this."

"You have my word for it, Sorasaki-san." Kyosuke nods and then leaves while waving. "Thank you, Sorasaki-san. Would it be alright if I can call you Hina?"

"Eh? I- I mean you're Sensei, so I don't mind." Hina quickly goes back to focusing on her desk work.

"Hehe. Thanks. See ya."

After he's out of the Perfect Team's office, Kyosuke sighs and picks up the Shittim Chest.

"Arona."

"Mrmm… Morning, Sensei…" Mumbling while rubbing her eyes, Arona stretches herself while waking up.

"I have decided what I should do."

"Huh? Really?"

"Yeah. We're going to Abydos Academy."

"Eh!? For real!? But what'll happen to you if Schale finds you doing something without their approval!?" Arona exclaims, worried that Kyosuke is doing something that isn't possible for unaffiliated people to do.

"I dunno. But it's worth helping the students, especially the person I know in Abydos. Please, Arona, let me teach the students." Kyosuke pleads.

Arona halts after hearing what Kyosuke said about a friend of his from yesterday, realising that Kyosuke is desperate to do what's right for his new students.

She understands, despite being a child soldier, he'll make sure most, if not all, don't suffer the same fate he did in his past, even if some of his personal data remains redacted.

"Sensei. I understand. But you need a gun."

"What?"

"For a child soldier, you must be armed. Relax, you won't kill a student, but stun them, so they won't attack." Arona explained.

"How can you tell? I mean Kuromi-san and Sorasaki-san aren't attacking me."

"They won't, doesn't mean the rest won't. You have no halo, that means you'll be killed on the spot if you don't defend yourself. And here I thought Sensei's a veteran." Arona warned.

"Well I'm sorry for being rusty. Also I gave up being a soldier a long time ago. I just wanna live a normal life after having no youthful memories." Kyosuke grunts while admitting his refusal to use a gun again.

"I'm sure you do. What if other child soldiers are a part of your cherished memories?"

What Arona said causes Kyosuke to stop, making him realise all the memories he had are what the youth are like: friendship.

"Arona…" Kyosuke sounds quiet as Arona grunts and lowers her head out of guilt.

"If that's not true, then sorry about that. I just wanted to make sure if you're…"

"No. You're right. Let's go to my place first. There's something I'd like to show you." Kyosuke interrupts after he accepts Arona's warnings.

Arona can tell Kyosuke isn't mad, but was able to come out of his shell, making her feel joy that Kyosuke himself is about to prepare himself.

"Yes, Sensei." Arona nods with a smile.

Abydos

Inside an apartment, the house is a little dusty with a TV and a video game on the floor, a bed that is unkempt as well as a photo that is covered in dust.

With the door open, Kyosuke arrives by calling "I'm back." Then he closes the door.

In a bedroom, the device is sorted by standing to watch Kyosuke searching for a firearm to use.

"Sensei, are those…"

"Yeah. These are my friends' weapons, including my sister." Kyosuke answers Arona's question.

Arona gasps after hearing what these guns belonged to and the photos with them.

"This revolver belongs to Akemi Sakaki, a strange girl with wild imagination and was somewhat mentally unwell at the time." Kyosuke fiddles with the revolver and the bullets while telling Arona what these weapons belong to.

"Mentally unwell? Like she's sensitive?"

"Yeah. She constantly watched her comrades fall, making her marked as the Raven, the death bird itself." Kyosuke answers bluntly, even feeling unpleasant about the past.

"That's horrible." Arona is disgusted by what she heard.

"At least she had us. Her friends are always there for her. She even had a crush on me." Kyosuke blushes while chuckling.

"Probably because you're the most caring guy around."

"That's what they all say. Her best strategy is stealth, hence she's able to survive the longest." Kyosuke pulls the trigger as the revolver clicks, revealed to have no bullets.

"So what happened to her recently?" Arona asks out of curiosity.

"Execution."

"Excuse me!?" Arona's halo zigzags as she's shocked about what Kyosuke said.

"Yeah. Apparently, she was accused of being the enemy's undercover, leading her to no longer become an adult. You can tell how I feel." Kyosuke lowers his head and puts down the revolver and then picks up a sniper rifle.

"This sniper rifle is Asahina Tomoki's. Tomoki's a pretty funny guy."

"Really?" Arona has gotten more curious about Kyosuke's friends.

"Yeah. He's everyone's friend, even those outside our friend group. He's remembered as the lovable joker." Kyosuke smiles while testing a sniper rifle, knowing there's a crack on a scope. "His speciality is long range fights, even close combat is his weakness. That's why he lures his opponents to be in an area he marks."

"That's amazing." Arona rejoices, hearing that one of Kyosuke's friends is being tactful as a child soldier.

"Yeah… But I saw his body riddled with bullets. He was ambushed." Kyosuke frowns, putting the gun down.

"Oh…" Arona also frowns.

The next gun Kyosuke lifts up is a shotgun that is stained in rotten blood.

"A shotgun? Who's used that?" Arona asked.

"This shotgun… It's Yuuki Haru's. Haru-kun."

"Sensei?"

"You're always a jerk… But I wish you would come with me to Kivotos. Arona, I can't talk much about that."

"Is it because you're close friends with him?"

"Yeah. He may be a jerk, but he's always my brother. A brother that never lets anyone hurt me and is willing to sacrifice himself for me." Kyosuke puts the shotgun back.

Before he lifts both glocks, Arona is curious about both guns he's holding.

"Sensei, are those glocks yours?"

"One of them was. The other was my sister's."

"What!? Did you say your sister!?" Arona gasps after hearing Kyosuke's sister.

"Kazami Kyoko. Kyoko was always there to protect her own brother, but… I can't talk more about my past anymore. It's just… I don't want to look back at my nonexistent youth." Kyosuke grunts while shaking his head and puts the glocks down.

To Arona's surprise, the photo says a lot about Kyosuke's experiences and his fear of using a gun again.

"I understand. But there's something I need to tell you."

"Speak." Kyosuke prepares the magazine for his glock and pulls the upper part of the glock.

"Maybe your friends and sister wanted you to live a normal life, heck you're even a teacher for crying out loud. Remember, 'We thirst for the seven wailings and we bear the koan of Jericho.' We can help the students, even those that are at risk of becoming like you. Don't feel bad about yourself because survivor's guilt is never the answer."

Arona is correct. Moving on is the only option and those Kyosuke knows are hoping for him to live and be the teacher they wish for him to be.

"Eh!? Did I say too much? I'm sorry!" Arona exclaims in apology after sounding like a teacher to Kyosuke.

"No, Arona, you're right. I mustn't feel down on myself. Let us go, Arona." Kyosuke concludes while putting a glock on the back of his trousers.

"Sensei…" Arona is now worried that Kyosuke is hiding himself from the things from his past.

"Kyoko-nee… Forgive me, but I need to borrow your gun." Kyosuke mutters to himself while putting everything back, closes the drawers and picks Arona up while heading towards the door.

Afterwards, Kyosuke closes his bedroom door as he's ready to leave his apartment for a while.

With Kyosuke marching towards the living room and heading towards the door, what stops him is 3 familiar girls that are watching a movie together on Kyosuke's fairly large TV.

Both SR Sukeban and MG Sukeban are sitting on Kyosuke's sofa whereas SMG Sukeban is carrying all the food and drinks from the fridge while placing them on the table.

"Damn, even he's got a good internet. Finally, I can watch something!" MG Sukeban laughs while taking the can of soda and swigging it.

"Hell yeah. I wonder when Sensei's coming back? I want to get even with him." SR Sukeban sighs while cracking her neck, pulls down her mouth mask and eats some chocolate out of a pack.

"Yo, pass the remote." MG Sukeban orders while SMG Sukeban clings the remote control to herself.

"Excuse me, you had your turn. It's my go to find something to watch." SMG Sukeban protested.

"If it's another cringy show, then I can't wait to put a bullet through your skull! Now give me the damn remote!" MG Sukeban snaps while poking SMG Sukeban's forehead.

"Isn't it supposed to be my turn, considering I haven't got a movie to choose!" SR Sukeban growled while cracking her knuckles.

"Screw you! It's mine!" MG Sukeban spat out with mockery.

"Mine!" SR Sukeban yells while the trio are throwing fists at each other over a TV remote.

As the thugs are beating each other up, Kyosuke and Arona remain quiet while tiptoeing towards the exit.

"Oh. Hey, Sensei." SMG Sukeban calls which stops the other two.

"Shit!" Kyosuke exclaimed after being caught.

"Oh poop!" Arona squeaks, realising there's no going back.

Now the room turns silent as Kyosuke and the trio of thugs are staring at each other for 5 seconds.

"SENSEI!?" The trio yelled.

"Oh, um… Hey, you girls seemed mad." Kyosuke nervously chuckles while taking a few steps back.

"Mad!? Mad doesn't begin to describe how we feel, Sensei!" SR Sukeban approaches Kyosuke while glaring at him.

"You abandoned us and now you think about running away from us!? LIAR!" MG Sukeban explodes as rage is put to the max.

"You're just like the rest of those adults… You don't care about us!" SMG Sukeban finally releases her submachine gun as she points it towards Kyosuke's head.

Even MG Sukeban's gatling gun and SR Sukeban's rifle points at the same target as Kyosuke is screwed.

"Listen! I know you girls are mad, but hear me out!" Kyosuke shouts while grabbing the doorknob.

"Talk!" SMG Sukeban orders as 3 guns are prepared to kill Kyosuke.

"Okay. There's a reason why I run, but it's true that I'll teach you girls some lessons. Let's just be civil and we can talk about this." Kyosuke said while being honest.

Finally, SMG Sukeban raised her arm as both delinquents lowered their guns which had Kyosuke letting go of the doorknob and sighing.

"Okay, I'll tell you the truth. I'm not affiliated with Schale, but I am in fact Sensei." Kyosuke reveals his status while calmly introducing himself. "It's true that I'll provide an independent education for you girls, but I have something I need to do. I can't let you girls suffer because I lost the things I love a long time ago."

"What are you talking about? What do you mean there's something you need to do?" MG Sukeban asked.

"Because I have a friend that may not want me to follow her, but I can't stand around and watch her and her friends struggle without their teacher. I know it's hard to accept it, but let me do something about it."

As the delinquents nod as they agree to make amends.

"Hmph. You sure do have a lot of balls admitting to yourself. But you should promise us one thing." Said SMG Sukeban.

"Go ahead." Kyosuke nods while waiting for a promise.

"Everyday, you'll be giving us some lessons, I mean not that we wanted to or anything…"

"She said you'll be our teacher." SR Sukeban fills in SMG Sukeban's words.

"Yeah. And you better start working with us or else we'll be sleeping with your corpse, got that?" MG Sukeban pulls up a threat as her gun is closer to Kyosuke's face.

As Kyosuke feared, he now has 2 things to do and that is Abydos Academy and independent teaching.

"Alright. I'll set up the time for all of us. But it'll take a few days or a week to set everything up."

"You have a week to start, or else Schale's stolen property will be ours without that rotten corpse of yours." SMG Sukeban warned.

"I'll remember that." Kyosuke accepts the offer.

Afterwards, SMG Sukeban raises both her arms as the delinquents put their guns down and SMG Sukeban raises her hand towards Sensei.

"Hmph. Looks like we're in an agreement, Sensei." Said SMG Sukeban.

As for Kyosuke, he can tell how desperate they are, but is glad for Kyosuke to take his time until 1 week later.

"Dea-"

"Watch out!" MG Sukeban exclaimed, pushing SR Sukeban and diving onto both Kyosuke and SMG Sukeban.

Then a loud bang and smashed up glass filled to the brim with bullets as they hit the wall as well as the table that is full of food, only for them to become rubble and mush as well as drenched by soda.

"What the!?"

"Sensei! We have to run now!" Arona called with warning.

"No time." MG Sukeban grunts while turning to her behind. "They found us. Or should I say you, Sensei."

"Me?" Kyosuke sits back up as SMG Sukeban sits on top of Kyosuke. "U- Um…"

"Could you perv over later! We got company!" SMG Sukeban growls as a trio of delinquent thugs are pointing at a bunch of girls in biker helmets that cover their faces.

"The Helmet Gang." SR Sukeban finally calls out the group name.

It's not just one, but more than that as estimated to 8, a bunch of girls in bike helmets are pointing their guns at Kyosuke and the delinquents.

"Hello, Sensei."

"This is bad…" SR Sukeban grunts.

"Tch." Kyosuke is now trapped as he's unable to escape his own apartment.

First the delinquents (who're now defending Kyosuke), and now the Helmet Gang. This is Kyosuke's mark for death if he doesn't do something about it.

It's time for a teacher to deal with some unruly students.
