Oh damn, it's a coup d'etat. Shit, I thought I should have been the one factor causing it not... well, dumb countess and daughter finding a way to control the king, force a marriage, and pretty much pushing the canon plot ahead without my presence.

That fucking hurts, plot!

I mean, the whole thing now was giving me some thicker 'Cinderella' vibes with Stella being the titular character getting 'abused' and turned into a troll from what had been just a few hours after her arrival to her home planet, and the king being an idjit by getting charmed by someone with negative 5 Charisma.

To make things worse, somehow Sky was there too and got hypnotized too so...

Yeah, not only am I being deprived of my long-overdue enjoyment (aka the Golf lanes) because of the weddingdemandingevery subject and traveler to check out the event but I am being forced into facing the Winx Club in quite soon due to the entire situation. Like, there is literally Sky- that's a Bloom flag if it can be called as one and-

Man, the girl can do better. Sky is such a placeholder character that... argh, I am getting sidetracked again!

This unwanted meeting wasn't happening. Period. And I had an opportunity to prevent this without putting myself on the forefront in the form of-

"They are definitely being manipulated!" Tressa growled, turning to me. "How can't anyone see that?"

Because, you see, when you are a foreigner, you can pick up easily when your despotic ruler is being more despotic and weirder than usual.

Either that, or Tressa legitimately saw some foul play I didn't. There was some involved, I just didn't pay enough attention since I already knew that was the truth.

"The commoners don't care as it doesn't touch their pockets and the nobles are too cozy to give a crap," I flatly replied, getting a strong pout out of the fish-girl. "If only there was a bold lady ready to smash those dastardly fellow to smithereens."

"Yes! I... Wait, you want me to do something?" The redhead appeared confused.

"I may be a pacifist, but they touched me in the one good thing that made me visit - Golf. So, this silly plot is getting silly crashed."

"Then why are you not the one doing something?" Tressa stressed out and I raised a finger.

"I don't like publicity. I already told you that. Also, you can take this as a chance to 'impress me' into giving you a legit spell that can be of help. Not an 'attack' but a trick that can help you in this ironic situation."

Her eyes widened in glee. "What spell?"

I smiled and I found an enclosed room so I could show her without being spied upon. Tressa didn't have a clue on how to use it at the moment, but she still surprised me by learning it.

Then again, it's a cheap spell and one meant to work as a distraction so... I had her off so she could get this shit dealt with on her own.

I trusted my Padawan to do a fine job and not fuck up...

But I kept my plan B around just in case she fucked up.

-d-d-d-d-

Tressa was a big girl with a plan - her teacher told her to not do anything too public and to do it 'stealth'. And by stealth, he meant to do it quiet and without getting noticed.

As a warrior-trained lady, Tressa found the challenge a bit... challenging. But she refused to disappoint now that she got a new spell. Albeit a bit disappointing in its reach, it was still a useful one and she could see a point in using it when in a tight spot.

So, as the redhead got a full understanding of the palace, she planned what she had to do - usually speaking, there was an amulet or a trail of magical items which could enforce this extensive of a mind control.

The king didn't have anything on himself, but many had pointed out that the queen was wearing a 'very mesmerizing' necklace.

To Tressa, this was her current target- find the amulet, destroy it, and get out.

And while part of her wanted to stick around for some of the glory, she was willing to admit to herself how publicity her may be a bit too embarrassing to handle.

She already skirted around interviews at home, so she doubted she could handle well the kind of pompous attitude the local Solarian journos had.

Finding the right vent to enter from proved to be the toughest bit, but the overall lack of a tight security system meant she could sneak inside without being detected by keeping by the ventilation system.

She crawled around for what felt like an eternity, but listening to the guards below she got a good read on where to go.

She slipped back into the palace proper right in the hall leading up to the future queen's room while there was a change of guard. The door was open, and the woman, Countess Cassandra, was busy taking a shower with... her daughter? Shaking her head, Tressa ignored weird cultural traditions to search the room, smiling as she found the necklace.

Crick.

It broke quite easily under her 'caring hands', her smile widening as she looked ready to turn and leave but-

"W-Who are you?"

Blue-hair, the daughter of the countess, Chimera, stepped out of the bathroom with just a towel around her body and on her hair.

Panic roused within Tressa as her instinct followed the best course of action-

"SOLAR FLARE!"

Maybe she was a bit too loud as she definitely warned the guards, but blinded the biggest issue to her escape. The balcony was open and, to her delight, she found a river running several miles down.

It was a big jump but... Tressa felt goaded by the challenging escape- and she took the chance with a grin.

Charging at the balcony, she jumped over the edge and dived down to the water below. She succeeded in landing in the water, her body shifting to her natural mermaid form as she swam away from the palace fast and then tried to go around.

She didn't exactly plan the 'comeback' with her teacher, but she was sure he would be hanging around by the same place... and Tressa was somewhat confused on how easily she could read Trovlar's moves even though she met him less than two days ago.

She made it to the coast, taking a moment to switch up to her usual frame and-

"W-Wait, stop!"

She froze up. Did she get spotted by some random guard?

The redhead turned to the source of the female voice and... paused at a troll with a fairly beautiful blonde mane.

"I-I am Stella, the Princess of Solaria. I was- was cursed."

...

That sounded like a possibility.

"Do you need help?"

She nodded, crying. And Tressa felt bad.

Who else felt bad? Her teacher.

"I told you to not draw publicity onto us."

Tressa felt sad, but she got a headpat for doing a good job and Trovlar did fix Stella's true appearance and... then mind-wiped the memories of them off her mind before leaving her on the path of a guards' patrol.

The rest went quite smoothly: the king 'woke up' before the marriage, ousted the traitorous countess, Stella was found and brought back home and...

"We are leaving?"

"Considering that we have drawn a lot of attention? Yes. And we are going to... Earth!"

...What?

If you can't dodge them going in random places, then you go to the very place where your worst threat usually lives at since... she hardly visits her parents.
