*Highlands High School*

It was finally the night of prom with the beautiful moon illuminating the school, creating a beautiful scenery. Anya was dressed in the same outfit she wore back at the winter ball.

"Thank you for hanging out with me, I know I'm a bother at times but I didn't want to feel lonely." Anya spoke to her friends, Charlotte and Emma while the girls smiled warmly.

"Don't be. You're our friend, and we'll do everything we can to help, okay?" Charlotte reassured Anya while Emma nodded in agreement.

"She's right, I'm sure Calvin would want this as well." Emma chimed into the conversation while Anya felt a sense of relief after hearing this.

"Thank you guys. It means a lot, but enough with that, we came here to have a good time and I don't want to ruin it." Anya responded confidently, running over toward the gym entrance while Charlotte and Emma watched.

Soon after, both girls followed Anya into the gym and they were greeted with a lively scenery.

The gym was filled with balloons, confetti, and other lavish prom materials, there was also music playing from the speakers with everyone dancing.

"What a beautiful sight. I wish Calvin was here to see this, he'll be amazed by all of this." Anya complimented her with a smile, sitting down at one of the empty tables while Charlotte and Emma sat down with her.

"I agree, it's quite lovely. Do you want us to sit with you or do you perhaps want us to.." Charlotte responded to Anya, blushing due to bringing up the possibility of her and Emma spending time together while Anya chuckled.

"Knock yourselves out. I don't want to be a burden so please spend time together, I'll be okay." Anya responded once more to Charlotte, smiling warmly at her friend.

"Sure thing, and you're not a burden, okay? And we'll see you in a minute." Charlotte reassured Anya, waving goodbye before gently holding Emma's hand.

"She's right, and if you need anything, don't be afraid to let us know, and enjoy your night." Emma advised Anya, waving at her with a smile before following her girlfriend to the main dance floor.

Following this, Anya was left alone as she looked around to see everyone enjoying themselves, and this made her a bit sad.

"I know this should be a happy night, but I still feel sad. I just miss and want Calvin right now. Pretty much everyone has their special someone right now except for me.." Anya thought to herself, sighing in the process as she got up to get some refreshments.

Anya walked over to the tables where the punch was, grabbing a small cup, and right when she tried to grab the punch scooper, a hand gently touched hers by accident.

The hand turned out to be Claudia's hand and she was surprised to see her friend Anya. (*See Chapters 16 and 17)

Claudia still had her black hair that was wrapped in a bun, and she wore a beautiful blue dress.

"Oh my god?! Anya! Yo, how's it going? It's been quite some time?" Claudia (now 19 years old) greeted her friend enthusiastically while Anya shared the same settlements as she was surprised as well.

"Claudia, It's good to see you as well, and I've been doing good, just not trying to crack." Anya responded with a warm smile, chucking at Claudia while she was met with her smile.

"I see, and I hope that things go smoothly for you, and I know that feeling, trust me." Claudia responded, gently placing her hand on Anya's shoulder.

"Thanks, and wanna sit down with me? I could use some company." Anya offered her friend while she waited for an answer.

Of course, Claudia was happy to join her friend in chatting.

"Yeah, sure. We need to catch up anyway." Claudia responded, accepting the offer as she and Anya walked back to the table to continue their conversation.

*Outside Quad*

Meanwhile, Russell and Carrie were walking toward the gym and there, they saw Judith and Oliver walking just in their right direction.

"Hey Judith! It's great to see you and you look so damn good in that dress." Carrie greeted Judith with a smile, complimenting her dress and this caught the attention of Judith.

Soon after, Judith and Oliver smiled, waving at the couple as they approached them.

Judith wore a lavish and beautiful green dress that was decorated nicely, she also wore her hair in a cute bun.

"Look at you, Russell! You look quite handsome. I might have to steal you from Carrie." Judith complimented Russell, admiring his black suit as smirked at him.

Of course, this made Russell blush while Carrie giggled at this.

"T-Thank you, and you look good as well, J-Judith.." Russell responded with a smile while Judith gently punched his arm.

"Just messing with you. I wanted to see your reaction." Judith teased Russell, smirking at him while Carrie was giggling, adding to the excitement.

"Oh, trust me. Russell likes being teased, especially by cute girls, rich ones if I might add." Carrie spoke to Judith in a smug yet playful voice, causing Judith to laugh.

During this, Oliver and Russell smiled at the laughter of their prom dates before introducing themselves.

"My name is Oliver, nice to meet you, Russell." Oliver greeted Russell, shaking his hand while Russell introduced himself next.

"Nice to meet you as well, and I'm Russell." Russell responded while continuing to shake his hand.

"Is Judith your girlfriend or are y'all figuring it out?" Russell curiously asked Oliver while this was met with the boy responding to the question.

"Not really, we're just prom dates, that's all. Although I wouldn't mind becoming her boyfriend." Oliver responded with a small blush, looking over to see Judith and Carrie talking with each other, making him smile

*Quad*

Meanwhile, not too far from where Russell and the others were, Neville and his friends were walking across the quad, small bottles of liquor in hand.

"Tonight's the night. I shall make Anya mine. I know damn well she enjoyed what I did to her in the bathroom, even if it was small." Neville spoke to his friends, grinning at his words while taking a sip of liquor, and during this he noticed Judith talking to Carrie at a far distance, making him groan.

"Still talking to these idiots I see.." Neville whispered in disgust while he continued to walk across the quad, his friends following him along.

Gym*

Back at the gym, the lively crowd was still dancing and having fun while Nancy and Mai were sharing a romantic dance.

Nancy wore a beautiful red dress and her long red hair was wrapped in a ponytail.

On the other hand, Mai wore a beautiful blue dress and her black hair was done quite well.

"Thank you for dancing with me. I know I'm not good or anything but I'm still happy that we're doing this, my good friend." Mai spoke to Nancy with a warm smile while Nancy nodded.

"Anytime, and we may not have any prom dates but, I'm glad to at least be able to hang out with you." Nancy spoke to Mai, continuing to dance with her.

"Hey, do you think Anya is okay? She's been quiet for the past few days, I hope nothing bad happened to her.." Mai asked Nancy regarding Anya, feeling worried while Nancy nodded in agreement.

"I hope she's doing okay and I hope nothing bad happened to her, Mai. I swear if anyone hurts her.." Nancy responded with a sense of protectiveness for her friend while Mai nodded, not saying a word as she and Nancy continued to dance with each other.

During this moment, Neville watched the pair dance from afar, frowning at the sight of it.

"That annoying Chinese girl is still here? I thought she'd get kicked out by now." Neville spoke to his friends, groaning to himself while looking over to the other side of the gym to see Anya chatting with Claudia.

The sight of Anya made Johnny, a friend of Neville, make a wolf whistle noise.

"Damn, Anya is looking mighty fine tonight, whatcha going to do, Neville?" Johnny asked Neville, eyeing Anya in the process while he waited for a response.

"I'll wait until she's alone, then she's mine." Neville responded with a sleazy grin while Johnny nodded understandably.
