Chapter 35: Broken Chains
Summary:
The team takes on the Viridian Gym…for real this time. We finally see what Mewtwo can do when he's not holding back, AND when he's under control. As well as a nice little bonus.
Notes:
I'm sure there's a lot of y'all who've been looking forward to this, ever since Mewtwo first confessed. Hope y'all enjoy, although, I'm sure a lot of y'all will. Firstly- he's not holding back anymore. The previous chapter was a wake-up call. Fighting at anything less than full strength, puts those he cares about in danger. So…no more holding back. From here onward, he's going to fight the way a Legendary should.
Which means, the team's strategy is going to change, going forward. Although the team is ridiculously strong, anyway, I think it makes sense if Mewtwo shifts into only battling when he's really needed, since he's the strongest. Oh, and as for that other thing- you'll just have to read on to find out what it is.
I woke up about two hours before midnight, to the sound of soft knocking on the stairs. I gently slipped out of Kaorah's arms, giving her a soft kiss on the snout as I did. I got up, and quietly walked down, to where Mewtwo was waiting. I wrapped him up in a hug with a soft smile.
"Hey. Need something?" I said quietly.
"Couldn't sleep." Mewtwo said. We separated, and I grabbed one of his hands.
"I understand. Hey, let's step outside, gives us somewhere to talk, without waking the others." And outside, we were under the starry sky. The base portal lacked one thing the outside world had- light pollution. Which means…nothing to mess up the view. The stars in the sky were numerous…so many it was impossible to even try to count. But it wasn't just them, as they were accompanied by a soft, yellow glow. The glow of the Milky Way, its arms filling the sky just like the stars within.
"If only the sky outside, looked like it does here." Mewtwo said quietly. He found a spot to sit down, and I sat with him. The night air was cool, pleasantly so. It wasn't hard to make sure the temperature would always be something comfortable for all of us. High sixties to low seventies. Sixty eight to seventy two, I mean.
"I don't think I could've done any better with this." I said.
"Maybe you could, but then again…it's just fine, like this."
"I could've made it in space. Don't think I'd get y'all away from the view if I did, though." I pulled a couple sleeping bags from my inventory, and laid them both out, before lying down on one. Mewtwo shifted over, in order to take the other.
"What's it like? Up there?" Mewtwo asked.
"Oh, words don't do it justice. Pictures and video don't, either." I said. "The closest we can get is through the mindscape, as we don't have to worry about the lack of air if we are."
"I'd…very much like to see that, some time." Mewtwo said.
"I know you would. We should focus on rest for now though. Tomorrow, we have to face the gym again…but it'll be for real, this time." I said.
"Yeah…and I'll win the battle, myself. That's…assuming the building is safe, considering the giant hole in the roof." Mewtwo snuggled up to my side as he was talking.
"Yeah, fair point. Anyway, get some sleep. I'll be right here for the rest of the night." It took a little bit before I fell asleep, but Mewtwo was, by that point. I didn't feel him move for the rest of the night, apart from the steady movement of his chest as he breathed softly. In the early hours, just before sunrise, I felt a soft hand grip my shoulder. I blinked my eyes open to Lexie gently shaking my arm.
"What are you two doing out here?" She asked quietly.
"Mewtwo couldn't sleep, so we came out here. Mostly to stargaze, and talk for a bit. Then we went to sleep after a little while." I gently extracted myself from Mewtwo's arms, so I could sit up. "You getting ready to run?" I asked her.
"Yeah. We'll run it together, if you're interested." Lexie said. I nodded, then I got up and went to join her for the warm up. Mewtwo woke up while we were stretching. He sat up, then shifted into a position so that he could meditate, and prepare himself for the battle that would be later today. Lexie and I began our run, pacing ourselves so that we would have plenty of energy for the return trip.
The return trip was much tougher, and despite how much walking I do each day…it was nothing compared to this. My legs were burning, and I immediately sat down as we stopped. Lexie offered a bottle of water, which I silently accepted. Mewtwo had already gone back inside, and was waiting on us when we returned. I flopped on the sofa with a grunt, my legs still burning with soreness.
It's bad now, sure, but it's gonna be worse later on. I felt a pair of hands gently rest on my legs, and the soothing feeling of healing magic spreading through my muscles. I didn't have to open my eyes to know it was Melanie.
"Did you run the mountain?" Her soft voice broke the silence in the room.
"Yeah, we did. That's probably the most intense workout I've done in a while." I said, opening my eyes to see her smile down at me.
"Well, at least I can take care of the soreness for you." Melanie pulled her hands away. I then felt the couch shift as she sat down, and I found my head in her lap. "Here, just relax for a little bit. While we wait for breakfast, anyway." Melanie rubbed the side of my face with one of her hands. "Hey, call it an odd question if you must, but…do ya think there's a spell that allows for compatibility?"
"As in…DNA compatibility?" Mewtwo asked.
"Yesss…that's what I meant." Melanie's cheeks reddened slightly.
"Where did you get that idea?" It would be an…interesting discovery, if there was. Although, I don't think I'm ready for something like that. And even if I was, Kaorah would get it first, by default. And, I know from experience how tough handling a Gible is. Although, Kaorah wasn't newly hatched when I got her, either.
"I dunno, just seemed like something I should bring up." Melanie said.
"Well, even if there was. It's something I won't be ready for…for a pretty good while, anyway."
"It's still an option to consider. I'd love to take that option, some day."
"It'll be a lot harder to do in the middle of a journey." Mewtwo spoke up.
"He's right. Maybe after we're all done." I said.
"Yeah…guess you're right. We can wait, as long as it's necessary." Melanie said. We shifted into a comfortable silence afterwards, and I even closed my eyes for a little bit. When breakfast was finally ready, Melanie gave me a gentle shake in order to get my attention. Following breakfast, and the normal morning stuff, we all returned to the outside world. After I set the ladies back into their normal forms, of course.
"Hey Melanie, hold still for a moment." I walked over to her, while also pulling something I'd gotten off-screen. Fans of a certain series will know what it is. I reached up to Melanie's hair, forever tinted scarlet thanks to the magic she had learned, and brushed it aside so I could find a good spot. When I did, I slipped the stem of a flower through her hair, making sure that it wouldn't fall.
The flower had five large petals, all of which gave off a soft, white glow. A glow similar to that of the moon itself. This flower, for those who don't know, is known as a Lunar Tear.
"Huh? What's this?" Melanie asked. She peeked at one of the mirrors, and gently reached up to feel the petals of the flower.
"A Lunar Tear. I thought you'd look good with one in your hair. It seems like I was right." I said.
"Mmm…you're such a sweetheart." We shared a soft kiss. "C'mon, we should get going." Melanie and I began to walk out with the others, before she spoke up again. "Hey, think we should give some of these to Erika?"
"I'd be happy to, especially since that lets them grow naturally. If done right, the Celadon Gym's gonna draw people in to see them, too. Or, we could plant our own, in one of the mountain caves down by the base." I had added extra caves, of course, for storage or whatever else we might need. Having a cave full of Lunar Tears doesn't sound like a bad idea.
"Maybe we could use it as a memorial for those we've lost." Mewtwo suggested, after hearing our discussion. "Myself, for Amber. You, Zeryph, for your parents. And Melanie, for Tommy."
"I like that. A place for us to remember everyone." Melanie said.
"We'll see about it, when we're back." I said. As we met up with Ash and the others, there was some surprise over Melanie's new accessory, and the color of her hair. However, since Ash's group already knew what Melanie can do, we didn't really have to explain how she changed her hair color.
The flower was what really drew interest, not just from them, but from others as we passed. Some even stopping us just to say how pretty it was. This confirms what I was thinking earlier, how a field of them would be a draw for anyone, really. Even in the daylight, they still glow faintly.
I had set up Melanie's with something special, a small dose of magic, so it will never wilt. No matter what, it will always be with her. I didn't say that out loud, of course, but I think she already knows. As far as getting things for the others goes…I probably should figure something out. Can't just have Melanie be the only one, after all. And she's gotten two gifts so far, the necklace and the flower.
[Break]
The walk back to Viridian City was quiet. We did stop so Brock and Lexie could fix lunch. Lexie even suggested the idea of a cook-off, one day. The most delicious sort of battle that there ever could be. Brock even agreed to the idea, and there's plenty for them to both learn from the other, too.
Might even see if I can get Cilan, Chili, and Cress, to join in. To act as judges, of course. Especially since we might have some biased opinions if we don't have a neutral party that doesn't know the pair.
"Well, here we are." I said. "Mewtwo, are you ready?"
"I am. Let's do this." He used his powers to push the doors open. There was a loud bang as they swung open and hit the wall. It's a wonder he didn't break them. The man in the suit on the opposite side, turned to peer over his shoulder at us, as we entered.
"I did not think you would be facing me so soon." Giovanni's voice broke the silence. "Especially after the mess at the New Island facility. I had not expected such events, but it seems that I was wrong to not plan for it." He turned towards us, and began to walk towards what would be his platform, as it rose from the ground. I stepped up onto mine, on our side of the field.
"Neither did I, yet here we are." I said back. "I wonder though, had you planned for every possibility, would you have prepared for a Shadow transformation?"
"Hm, hard to say. Shadows are unpredictable, and far more powerful than in their normal form. As, they have no restraint. They exist in a state of blind rage, after all." Giovanni's first Pokemon, a Rhyhorn, emerged. "I suppose I shouldn't expect Mewtwo's return, any time soon."
[Rhyhorn]
[Level 4 (45)]
[Moveset- Stomp, Tail Whip, Fury Attack, Horn Drill]
"Not anymore. Not after all we've been through together."
"Hmmph, hard to say that I'm surprised." Giovanni crossed his arms. "Send out your first so that we may begin."
"One at a time? That's it? All of them, send ALL of them. I'll take them all at once." Mewtwo said.
"Mewtwo, official rules state that-"
"I. Do not. Care. This, is MY fight. And I will not have it be any less than all at once." Mewtwo interrupted what Brock was saying.
"Oh, very well. But, I don't think the Gym Badge can be earned if the battle is done this way." Brock said.
"He wants to prove himself, so let him." Giovanni sent out the rest of his team; Dugtrio, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Rhydon…and, surprisingly, his Persian. I didn't think she'd want to join in on this. Guess I was wrong.
[Dugtrio]

[Moveset- Sand-Attack, Dig, Fissure, Earthquake]
[Nidoqueen]
[Level 5 (53)]
[Moveset- Tail Whip, Earthquake, Double Kick, Thunder]

[Moveset- Rock Slide, Fury Attack, Earthquake, Horn Drill]
[Persian]

[Moveset- Screech, Shadow Claw, Power Gem, Fury Swipes]
"Zeryph, I want this." Mewtwo said. "The whole battle…it's mine."
"You sure?"
"I know I can do it. And you know that just as well as I do. Please…just this once." Mewtwo put a hand on my shoulder. I took a breath and closed my eyes, but I still smiled at him, and nodded.
[Hey, you pull this off, and…I've got something I believe I owe you.] Mewtwo took his turn to smile, then, he turned and stepped off the platform. He floated down to the field, dropping his weights as he went. Then, there was a brilliant flash as he changed forms. His power flaring up as he shifted into his Mega form. To see him finally do it without having to use a seed, or a stone for that matter...I was proud, very proud.
"How interesting. I wasn't aware of such a development." Giovanni commented.
[BGM suggestion]
[Led Zeppelin- Black Dog]
"It's a fairly recent change." That he was able to do it on his own, anyway. I'm not surprised that Giovanni knew about the seeds, because of Libra spying on us. "Now then, the signal to begin. Brock, if you would, please." I said. Since the normal referee wasn't here, Brock had taken over that role. The moment Brock gave the signal, I felt the shift in the air. The ground cracked under the weight of Mewtwo's psychic Pressure. He's not holding back, anymore. His blades flared to life, but instead of charging, he chose to walk slowly. He wants to enjoy this, and I wasn't about to stop him, either.
"Rhyhorn, open with Horn Drill. Let us break this confidence of his in one single strike." I heard Giovanni loud and clear. While I would normally be concerned…this IS Mewtwo's battle, and, he's not going to be so easily defeated.
Mewtwo waited for the last moment, then, sidestepped with a swing of his right arm. The attack was cut away, causing it to harmlessly dispel. Mewtwo then landed his counter, a devastating haymaker that lifted Rhyhorn from the ground, throwing him backwards across the field. His team scattered, avoiding his uncontrolled flight.
"Earthquake. We must throw him off balance." Persian ordered. Dugtrio, and the Nido pair, all hit the ground at the same time. The whole building shook around us. Mewtwo braced himself, barely shifting as the shock wave hit him. He then had to teleport out of the way as Dugtrio launched a follow-up attack, with Fissure. He reappeared right above them, Aura Sphere glowing brightly in both of his hands, and spinning so fast that the air seemed to be rippling.
He slammed his hands downwards just as the Dugtrio ducked into the ground. This resulted in a thunderous boom as the whole building shook once more. This also had the effect of creating a dust cloud that cut off visibility. The momentary silence was broken by the sound of a Pokemon being returned.
As the dust cleared, Mewtwo stood in a crater. The blast had thrown his opponents aside, and had knocked Dugtrio out of the fight. It's fortunate that he held back just enough, otherwise, Mewtwo likely would've killed his target.
Rhyhorn and Rhydon were the first to make a move, both rushing from opposite sides. Mewtwo leapt into the air, flipping, and landing on his feet at our side of the field. He'd waited for the last moment, baiting the pair into taking each other out with Horn Drill. He then teleported back into the air, avoiding another Earthquake from the Nido pair. I have no doubts, if he takes one out, the other might be quite unhappy.
And, he knew that as well. They were positioned just right, so that he couldn't take them both down at once. The other issue is Persian, since, she has an attack that actually can hurt, a lot, if it lands. She's decided to sit, and wait for Mewtwo to charge at her, rather than attacking him. She's playing this smart, unlike her teammates.
Persian's tail swished, then the gem on her forehead lit up. Her use of Power Gem was to kick up dust, and she'd aimed it so that Mewtwo would be forced to use a shield for himself. With the dust in the air, he wouldn't see the Nido pair preparing for Thunder. Until the attacks had already been launched. Mewtwo slid back under the force of the impact, with a grunt.
"You call that an attack? That barely scratched him!" Persian called out. I see what she's doing, trying to rile up her teammates. "Again!" There was another thunderclap, and Mewtwo took a second hit. Had he been facing Electric-Types, this actually would've been hitting much harder. But, since they're Ground-Types, the power is greatly diminished.
"Again!" Mewtwo wasn't going to let it hit a third time. His hands snapped outwards, and he caught the Thunder with his own power. His eyes lit up, his hands shifted, and he fired it right at Persian. I can't see, so I don't know if she dodged or not. But, to be fair, I don't think she can, either.
"Agh! Fools!" That answers that question. "Forget ranged, just get in there and hit him!" Mewtwo readied himself, energy gathering into his hands for Psystrike, his signature. The moment his opponents appeared from the dust, he struck. They were both blasted backwards, and there was a crash as they hit the gym walls.
"Ugh. You were worth every second of training. Truly, you were." Persian's words were laced with heavy sarcasm. "It seems that all of the members of the team were idiots. A shame, really, that Libra betrayed us. This battle would've gone so much differently, if she had just waited a bit longer."
"But, it seems she wasn't the only one. It's clear to me, you've grown attached to him." Persian sat down, as the dust settled. "To that trainer of yours. A pity, that your potential is wasted under someone like him. Why don't you come back to us? Let Team Rocket help you grow, to become what you're truly capable of."
"No. I'll never go back, not to Team Rocket, not to that cell…not to being alone." Mewtwo growled.
"A shame, then." Persian's claws became wrapped in darkness, as she stood. I recognized the danger, right away. "I wish you would've come to our side, but it seems that your decision was already made. Farewell, and, I wish you luck in the next world." She then charged, fully intending to not only end the battle, but take Mewtwo's life with it.
Unfortunately, for her, that won't work. As she leapt into the air, and began to swing, Mewtwo was ready. He waited until right as her attack would've hit, then, he vanished. He reappeared, right arm lifted into a back-swing, left arm extended. The energy from a Psystrike fading away. Time seemed to slow down as Persian began to fly to the side, then, just before she hit the ground, her right front leg began to separate from her body, just above the elbow joint. The stump burned black from where Mewtwo had cauterized it.
The room fell into a shocked silence. Even Giovanni's face became an expression of surprise. Mewtwo lowered his arm with a sigh, and he returned to his normal form. His blades faded from existence, and for the briefest of moments, there was some regret in his eyes.
I rushed down to meet him, pulling him into a hug, barely registering as Brock called out that we'd won. Giovanni was, obviously, unhappy, but he still began to slowly clap.
"Well done. Well…done. A very impressive performance, I must say. It's a shame that such a thing had to happen. Though, I suppose…accidental injuries do happen on occasion." He stepped onto the field, hand reaching into his coat. When he withdrew it, he was holding an Earth Badge. He signaled for medical assistance, and a team rushed in from the Pokemon Center. They took Persian, and her leg, and hurried out.
"Sorry about…her leg." I said. Giovanni waved a hand.
"What's done is done, Mr. Ketchum." I took the Earth Badge as it was handed over, after I released Mewtwo from the embrace we shared. "Besides, much as I might like to believe otherwise, it was self defense. I will admit, Persian fully intended to make that a lethal strike."
"And as such, Mewtwo was well within his rights to defend himself, accordingly." His expression shifted, once more, as he patted Mewtwo on the shoulder. Giovanni ignored the low growl he got as a warning. "You have done an excellent job, in training him so well. I would've loved to have him returned to me now, but it seems…that is not a wise decision. So, I ask of you…keep him. He is yours now, you've earned it. And, you've proven that you're too much trouble." That last sentence was directed at Mewtwo.
"Hmmph! That's the smartest thing I've ever heard you say." Mewtwo responded with hostility in his voice. "Zeryph, let's get out of here. Before I do something we'll all regret." I answered with a quiet nod, and we left. Ash climbed down from the stands, and started to head over to where he'd be on the field.
"If you would allow me a few minutes, I need to check on my Persian. And, switch my team for another that is in much better shape." I heard Giovanni say to Ash, then there was a loud creak from the Gym's ceiling. It seems the support structure had been weakened by the battle.
"We should…get out of here." Kaorah said. Not even a moment after the last one, Misty, was out- the Gym structure gave out. Mewtwo put a barrier up around us, shielding us as the building fell in on itself. The office in the back seemed undamaged, but the battlefield is completely done for.
"Grats, Mewtwo. You broke a gym." Kaorah said, after the dust settled. She was amused, for sure. "Apparently, they can handle a flying Onix, but not a six-v-one with a Legendary involved."
"Honestly, I…wasn't trying to wreck the gym. And it's not entirely my fault, either." Mewtwo said. "Now, how is Ash going to do his battle? When there isn't even a gym to challenge anymore."
"I…guess…Giovanni will figure something out, I'm sure." Sure, we've done collateral damage in the past, but never something like this. Just hope that I don't have to play for it. If I do, it's gonna be expensive.
When we got to the Pokemon Center, I didn't miss the look that Nurse Joy sent towards Mewtwo. The frown of disapproval, no doubt related to the state he'd left Persian in. And the slight bit of fear in her eyes.
"Out of all the years I've been working…that's the worst injury I've ever seen from a battle. What…happened?" She quietly asked us. So, I explained everything, word for word. Mewtwo and the others headed to our rooms, leaving us to talk. Nurse Joy sat down, and took her time to process the information.
"I…I see. I wish this hadn't happened, but…it's clear there was something more than just a battle going on." She said. "I might even have to report this. Something like this shouldn't have happened."
"No worries, Ms. Joy." Giovanni said, from behind me, as he walked up to the counter. "It was a freak incident, nothing more. I'll be having words with Persian because of this." He said. "I will take responsibility for this mess. After all, she had tried to strike a lethal blow. Mr. Ketchum's Pokemon defended himself with necessary force."
"Right..." Nurse Joy sighed. "Well…we're gonna…see what we can do. Zeryph, could you have your Gardevoir…sorry, Melanie, help us? As best she can, really."
"Yeah." I signaled Melanie with the team's telepathy link, telling her she was needed. "She'll do her best, but, no promises. If she can't reattach the leg, then, Persian may be permanently crippled." I said. Melanie came down from the rooms, and she was given what she'd need for the surgery room, before being taken back by the surgeon's Pokemon. Even if they manage to reattach her leg, Persian's days of battling might be over, for good.
I stepped away when I wasn't needed any longer, and headed to the rooms. I opened a portal for our base, and let the girls head home. Mewtwo stayed, and when the portal closed, he sat down with me. He snuggled up to my side, head on my shoulder, and we fell into silence. I put an arm around his waist and held him.
[Break]
"Despite what had to happen…I'm proud of you. You finally did it, you won, and you're free. Never forget that, no matter what." I said quietly, breaking the silence after a little bit. We'd decided to just lay together for a little while. Mewtwo didn't get to say anything, because Melanie gently knocked on the door. I got up to let her in, and she looked exhausted.
"So, how'd it go?" I asked her.
"We managed to reattach the leg. However…her days of battle are over. The damage Mewtwo did means that she won't be on a battlefield again, for the rest of her life. Nobody blames Mewtwo for defending himself, of course. However, Persian is likely going to hate him for the rest of her life." Melanie flopped on the other bed with a tired sigh.
"Well, you've earned yourself some rest." I said to her, before opening another base portal. "Go on. You need it."
"You're not coming?" She asked.
"Nah…not for a while longer. I owe him a date, after all." I said. Melanie giggled softly.
"I see. Well, have some fun, both of you. I'll tell Lexie to save you both some leftovers." Melanie said. She pulled herself up, then shared a kiss with me, before going through the portal. I closed it behind her, then turned to Mewtwo, before holding out a hand.
"You ready?" I asked.
"I thought you'd never ask." Mewtwo took my hand, then the world blurred. We appeared in Nimbasa City, right by the park gate. I let him take the lead, whatever he picked, we'd do. We started with what games they had. Mewtwo wasn't allowed to use his powers, of course. Despite that though, we'd quickly settled into a win streak. We started with throwing darts at some balloons. Unlike games in my previous world, they weren't rigged here.
And the games are rather simple, too. I mean, sure, they're meant for younger folks in most cases. As far as prizes go, we declined the offers for any that we might've earned. We don't need them, after all. Well, except for one case. There was an Eevee plush that a local girl wanted, but wasn't able to win. So, we won it for her. It's obvious that it made her day, and her parents thanked us for it.
As far as rides go, it was hard to really find any. Some were modified for a Pokemon to be able to ride safely, so those were the ones we went on. It was super nice to see Mewtwo having fun. Even more after the battle we'd had. He had defeated the one person he wanted to face in battle. And so, had lifted a large weight off his shoulders. He'd cut himself loose from the Rockets, for good. And he'd definitely earned it, too. It took us a few hours to get to everything we could. Our time in the park ended after we'd gone on the wheel. After we got off, Mewtwo returned us to Kanto. Once we were back, I opened a base portal for us to step through. It was early night in Kanto by the time we got back.
It didn't take long to find what Lexie left for us. After we reheated ours, we sat down to eat.
"That…was the most fun I've had, in a long time." Mewtwo said. "Well, outside of certain battles, anyway."
"I'm glad to hear it. After all you've been through, especially after the past several days…you've earned it."
"Yeah, I have." We faded into a comfortable silence as we ate, yet, Mewtwo seemed to be thinking of something. "Hey, uh…I'm not saying you have to do this, but…I wanna take things…further. I think I've been waiting, for long enough."
"Eheh…I, uh…" I took a deep breath. "OK…sure. It's something I hadn't been comfortable with…at first. But now, I think I'm OK with at least trying." Mewtwo didn't say anything else, but I could still see him smiling. When we finished up, he reached for my hands, and began to gently pull me upstairs. He let go, then I was wrapped up in his arms. I returned his embrace, and our lips met.
Going as far as making out? That, I have no problems with. It's moving to the next stage that I'm unsure about. I felt his fingers slip beneath my shirt, and barely suppressed a small shudder.
"Are you OK?" Mewtwo quietly asked, when we next separated for air.
"I'll be fine, just, take it slow." I said. I still allowed him to pull my shirt off, since, that's not what bothers me. Mewtwo started to rub my back with his hands, and I felt him push me back to the bed. He was taking his time, making sure that he was careful to not go too fast.
"I'll admit…I may have, uh…had some help with this. Learning how, I mean."
"Huh?"
"I, uh, had to ask Melanie for some advice. Because, I'd have no idea what I'm doing, if I didn't." Mewtwo's fingers had begun to slip beneath my shorts. I felt my face heat up, but I still nodded.
"I…see…so, she taught you what you needed to know, then?" I asked.
"She did. Asking was a little bit on the awkward side, but…It'll be worth it." I felt a gentle push, back onto the bed. "Now, as you would say if we were reversed, just relax. Let me take the lead." Mewtwo slowly got down onto his knees, and I felt his fingers wrap around…
I let out a soft purr as he'd started to slowly rub with his right hand. Then, I felt him take the tip into his mouth, slowly lowering his head until he'd taken my cock all the way in. He then started to slowly bob his head, up and down. I won't lie, it feels amazing. I guess that Melanie had made sure to teach him really well. I put my right hand on the top of his head, and started to help guide his movements.
"You're doing…great." I said quietly. Mewtwo had his eyes closed, and, I can tell how careful he's being. Not once did I feel one of his teeth, not even the slightest touch. He began to slowly increase his pace. Along with it, my breathing also began to pick up, along with the low moans that slipped through. I took a moment to cast a soundproof spell, though, it doesn't work as effectively on open air.
Mewtwo's pace continued to increase, and I felt the soft vibration from purring of his own. His tail began to slowly sway. My low purring had begun to grow louder. I guess Melanie had told him to listen for the sounds I make. She definitely does, and because of it, my experiences with her have been great.
And, Mewtwo's showing that he's learned well. I felt myself steadily drawing closer with each bob of his head. Until finally, I came, with a low growl. Mewtwo's eyes snapped open for a moment, then he slowly closed them. It wasn't long before he pulled away, then he took a slow breath. A soft smile appeared on his face.
"How was it?" He quietly asked.
"You did great. I…can't say I'm quite ready for doing the same for you. Sorry." I said.
"That's fine. There's no need to do anything you're not comfortable with." Mewtwo got onto the bed next to me. "But, I'll ask- would you be willing to, um…" He blushed. I guess he's not exactly comfortable asking.
"I…suppose so." I grabbed the bottle from the nightstand. "Just…not sure about it, is all." I said.
"Take your time, please. There's no need to rush, as I've said before." Mewtwo shifted onto his knees, then bent forward. "If you think you're ready, then I am too. And if you're not, we can wait a little longer." He said.
"All right." I took a breath, then popped open the bottle and squeezed some lubricant into my hand. I then started to rub it on, while handing him the bottle for him to apply some of his own.
"You're gonna go for it? Really?" He asked.
"Yeah…what's the point in getting this far, and stopping part of the way through? Maybe…one day, I'll be ready to switch spots with you. But, not for right now." I said. I got up behind him, and I could feel myself shaking. I know that I shouldn't be this nervous, but this isn't the same as with one of the girls.
"Yes, well…I feel like I might've been too pushy." Mewtwo said, his blush intensifying as I made contact.
"No…you really weren't. You've been waiting for quite some time, but only just asked, tonight. I'm glad that you chose to wait. Had you sprung this on me, a while back…I'm not sure what I would've thought." I wasn't sure of where to grab, either, so, I just settled for his hips.
When I finally worked up the nerve to push it in, I did. Mewtwo was relaxed, so I didn't need to tell him to. It helps that he was ready for this. His ass is tight. Tighter than the girls who I've gone in back with, for sure.
"Melanie said that relaxing would make this easier." Mewtwo said quietly. I started to move my hips, slowly. My hesitation slowly faded away, especially since this felt…good. Very good, actually. I felt Mewtwo's tail wrap around me.
"Well you're…meant to relax, anyway." I said. There was a low rumble as I was speaking, the purr that's been mentioned many times now. "I think this would've been a bit more awkward, had you not asked for advice."
"I was surprised Melanie actually helped me figure things out." Mewtwo said. His eyes slowly closed, and he began to gently sway along with my movements. "Was there some teasing? Sure, but she still helped." Mewtwo let out a low moan as I finally started to get into things, and I sped up. Not by much, though. "And I seem to recall…Kaorah wanted to see this, too…right? The first time we went for it?" I felt my face heat up, just a bit.
"Oh, yeah, she did. I'll show her a memory later, since…the first time is special, and really shouldn't have a spectator." I said. "And besides, if she wanted to sneak a peek…you would've sensed her, anyway."
"That's true." Mewtwo shifted his legs, and his arms. He positioned himself so I could move better. I sped up again, our conversation fading for quiet moans and growls. I started to slowly increase my pace, and I felt Mewtwo's tail start to rub against my back.
Mewtwo's own moans had gotten louder, although, were still relatively quiet. At least, enough that the girls wouldn't hear him. I made sure to keep mine quiet, too. Which, of course, was getting hard to do. Especially as we started to draw closer to release.
"Zeryph…I think I'm gonna…" He was interrupted when I spoke up.
"I know. I feel it, too." I said. It wasn't long after that we both came. And if not for his quick thinking, we would've alerted the rest. Fortunately, his barriers work even when he's not focused on them, and, they cancel out sound on their own. I slowed to a stop, then slowly, pulled out. I let go, and Mewtwo fell onto his side as his tail released me.
"I can tell…you're definitely…experienced." Mewtwo said, quietly. He rolled onto his back so he could smile up at me.
"Yeah, if we'd done this sooner, I think it would've been more awkward than pleasant." I said. I offered him a hand, and when he took it, I pulled him up. "Let's go…clean up. You need it more than I do, for sure."
"Yeah. And, Zeryph?"
"Hm?"
"I love you." We shared a brief kiss.
"Love you too. Now, let's get this mess taken care of, then, get some rest. Tomorrow, we stop by Pallet Town, then, it's off to Mt. Silver for our training." I said. Mewtwo smiled, soft, genuinely happy.
"Yeah. Gotta get ready for the Indigo League, after all. We should make sure Ash will make it to the finals, too. Cause, I know of your vows." What he means is- Ash and I made a vow before the journey began, that we'd make it to the league. And, that we would be the finalists. The only significant threat to this is Ritchie, Ash's look-alike. However, I get the feeling that I'll be facing Ritchie, which means, Ash will see me in the finals, for sure.
"Yeah, and when Ash and I finally face off, it'll be a battle to remember." I've taught my cousin well, of course. But, it remains to be seen how well he's been studying my team's tactics. In the few times he's seen us in a gym battle. If he's been paying attention, he'll train specifically for us. Which should help him easily reach the finals.
I heard Mewtwo pull the sheets from the bed, so they could be put in the wash. We'll put a new set on before we lay down. The two of us headed down and went for the bathroom. He started up the water while I grabbed some towels. Sure, using magic to dry off is more efficient, but doing it the old fashioned way is nice, too. As we stepped in, I felt his hands on my shoulders right away.
"Let me handle your back for you. While you get the rest. When we switch, you can get my back, and my tail." Mewtwo said.
"Fine by me. Who do you think is gonna pick up on our mood first, tomorrow? Cause, we're gonna be glowing." I started to wash my arms as I was talking.
"I think Kaorah will, since she's the…debatable…alpha." I let out a snort when I heard that.
"Don't let her catch you saying that. But yes, you're right. Even if we wash down entirely, that nose of hers is extremely hard to fool. She'll pick up the mix in our scents before she even sees us." I said. That bit about it being debatable is a jab at how easily Melanie can assert control, even though using gravity powers is a bit of a cheat.
When Mewtwo finished my back, we swapped spots so I could start on his. He'd started to purr, almost right away, which got me to smile.
"Would you like a massage, one night?" I asked.
"Based on what the girls have said about getting one, absolutely. You still haven't offered Solais or Cerise one, not yet anyway." Mewtwo said.
"You're right. But, they'll get their own, one day. In fact, I might even give Solais one, tomorrow." I know she'll enjoy it. Working with her body shape will be interesting, unless of course, she wants a form change. If I remember right, the effects transfer, so it wouldn't be a bad thing, either.
"I'm sure Cerise will want one, too, once she hears how good they are." Mewtwo's tail shifted so I could reach it better. I was real careful not to squeeze too hard, or pull on it, as it could be very sensitive to that. But it seems like he didn't mind when I did, either. We finished the rest of our shower in silence, and after we dried off, we returned to the bed. With some clean sheets, that we slipped onto the mattress.
Once that was done, we got into bed and snuggled up close. I didn't bother redressing, and since we were gonna be under a blanket, there was no worry of Lexie getting an eyeful if she decides to come up and wake me in the morning. Although, it's not anything she hadn't seen before, though, that one was accidental. I think it'll be less of an issue, once her turn comes around.
Mewtwo and I shared another kiss, then we both slowly dozed off. Tomorrow, our first big training arc begins. And, I'm looking forward to it. The countdown to the Indigo League, has begun.
[Viridian City]
Giovanni stood, looking at the ruins of the gym. Despite the loss, there was a small smile on his face. He was glad that Persian was able to be healed, at least, even if her days of battling were over. He'd taken the loss to Zeryph and Mewtwo as a sign. Perhaps…Team Rocket wasn't meant to continue.
Persian purred softly as his fingers rubbed across the top of her head. Zeryph's Gardevoir had offered to heal her scars after she had awakened, but she declined. Wanting them to be a reminder of this day. The wind blew through the city, a gentle breeze, bringing a pleasant cool to the clear night.
"Boss! We heard about the battle." A voice broke the silence. Giovanni turned, facing Jessie and James as they approached, and Meowth was right behind them. He'd heard of Mewtwo's habit of teleporting them across the world, and he'd admit that he found it amusing. And, that he was impressed by how quickly the pair always seemed to return.
"Yes, I wish you could've seen it. That young man is an incredible trainer. I would've liked to recruit him, but his path is already set." He turned towards the gym, once more, then back to the trio. "Losing such a battle has come to make me realize, perhaps, my own path can be changed. I am ordering the disbanding of Team Rocket. Effective immediately."
"What?" James was the only one to react verbally. His two teammates were stunned into silence.
"Between Libra's escape, the destruction on New Island, the loss of two of our major hideouts. And, my own defeat at the hands of Mewtwo and Zeryph. I think it's time to pull the plug, so to speak. Perhaps I'll find my own path, or simply live in exile for the remainder of my years." Giovanni adjusted his hat. "You may keep your uniforms at least, if you wish. As for your days of trying, and failing, to steal Pokemon? They are now over. If you want to keep trying, I can't stop you. But now, you won't find it so easy to get out of jail, either."
"Boss, please reconsider." Meowth spoke up this time. "What are we going to do without-"
"His decision is final, kitten." Persian interrupted. There was a slight rasp to her voice now, yet another scar from her injuries. "Team Rocket is done for."
"Yes. I bid you all farewell. Consider this my last order- Zeryph, and his friends, are not to be bothered anymore. But, if you really must pester them, tell them of my decision. I am sure that a certain someone, would like to hear of what he's caused." Giovanni motioned for Persian to follow, then he turned away. The pair walked off into the night, without another word. Never to be seen again.
"Well…now what?" Meowth finally broke the silence, after several minutes.
"I guess…that's it. No more Team Rocket…not really, anyway." James said.
"There's some out there who will try to keep the team going. But maybe…the former boss was right." Jessie said. "We'll have time to face that certain group tomorrow. Just, without a motto, this time. If Team Rocket really is done, then, there's not much of a point in sticking to it."
"Maybe Zeryph would make a better boss." Meowth said.
"Maybe…if we can get him to hear us out. You know what happens when Mewtwo sees us." James said.
"We'll just have to wait and see, I guess." Jessie said. "And to think, all of this is pretty much because of him, in some way."
"There is another alternative." A voice sounded from behind the trio, startling them. The so-called man in blue.
"Who are you?" Jessie asked, as they turned to face him.
"My name is not important. I simply wish for you to continue as you have been, with the exception that you're no longer allowed to continue to make attempts at stealing Pokemon. You must catch your own, now." Dialga said to them. "From this point onward, your teams are to act as occasional tests, for Zeryph and his own. But for that to work, you all need to get stronger." Dialga had decided that he would inform Zeryph of this change, the following morning. Since that pocket dimension of his was, currently, closed off to visitors.
In the original timeline, Giovanni never disbanded the team, and so, they would continue to be a minor problem throughout the course of events for the chosen one and his companions. Now though, that couldn't happen anymore. Unless of course, Dialga were to personally step in. And, of course, he did. He couldn't just let them go to waste. Having a group of trainers who could actually challenge Zeryph, and help him get stronger, would definitely be worth the change in the timeline that the Chosen of Arceus had caused.
Getting the trio to agree was easy, as, they had nothing else to do now. Sure, he could've let them retire, or end up in jail, but he'd rather set them up as occasional rivals to the primary group. Once he was sure of their agreement, he sent the trio home, then disappeared in a blue flash. In time, the trio will be able to face Zeryph, as proper rivals, without being sent across the world. Even Dialga still wondered how they always got back so quickly.
