"Why can't I come with you to find our long lost brother?." a 16 year old Maggie asked with a pout.
Lisa, who is 23 years old and currently setting down her last suitcase by the door, looked at her baby sister and gave her an apologetic smile.
"Sorry, Maggie, but you have summer school to attend and I know for a fact that Mom and Dad are not going to let you come with me to Africa. On top of that, my college only funded me, Nelson, supplies and guides."
Maggie rolled her eyes before looking at her magazine. "This is bullshit. I wanted to see my brother, who I barely remember and help find him."
"I will send you pictures and do video chatting when I find Bart. You will thank me when you are caught up with your make-up grades in summer school." said Lisa, looking back at Maggie.
Maggie responded by giving Lisa the finger. Lisa rolled her eyes before grabbing her luggage and exiting out of the room. She made her way downstairs and set her things by the door before sitting down in the living room. Lisa checked her phone to see if Nelson had texted her regarding their pickup to the airport. So far he has not text her yet. It was okay for Lisa as she put her phone back into her pocket.
In truth she is in utter excitement of returning to Africa. In hopes of finding her big brother, Bart.
(John2851): "Yes, that Bart. The Bart that the Simpsons family have losted during their flight after visiting the good old Motherland. Here, let me take you all back to a quick flashback. It all starts with Bart and Lisa inside the pilot's room with them giving a personal tour of operations."
FlashBack
Lisa caught sight of Bart sneaking in a few sleeping aid pills into the both pilots mugs of coffee while they were too distracted on their jobs.
"Bart!." Lisa whispered in anger.
"Yeah?." Bart looked at his sister as if he did not do anything wrong.
"What are you doing?!." Lisa faced her brother up front. "We need those pilots awake, not sleep. How else are we supposed to get home safe and alive?."
Bart waved it off. "Oh, Sis, you are so overreacting. Everyone knows that every plane has an autopilot mode button. Meaning that we can have some fun without the consequences. Trust me."
Like a sucker and despite her better judgment, Lisa submitted and went along with it. Bart told her to lock the door incase if someone comes in and sees their deeds. Both pilots doze right on to sleep as soon as they took a few sips of their coffee, which in return put big grins on both Bart and Lisa's faces. The two siblings went over to the controls and started messing around.
To their dismay they did not see any button for autopilot. Which means they were in some deep shit.
"Ahhhh!." Bart and Lisa both screamed in panic.
The two tried to steer the plane away from incoming mountains. Unfortunately, the Simpson siblings had somehow broken the plane's alignment and the steering wheels connection. Resulting in them crashing in between two mountains.
"Lisa…Lisa…Lisa…Lisa!."
Lisa slowly woke up to find her mom staring down at her in utter worry.
"M…Mom?. What happened?." Lisa asked when slowly getting up to her feet while holding her sore forehead.
"Lisa, the plane crashed." Homer checks Lisa to see if she isn't seriously hurt. "We have no idea how this even happened."
Lisa instantly kept her mouth shut when hearing the last part as she did not want to get herself and Bart into a world of trouble. Speaking of Bart. Lisa looked around the damaged wrecked plane before raising a brow.
"Where is Bart?. He was right here with me. Mom?. Dad?." Lisa looked at her parents.
Homer and Marge looked at one another in worry as to how Lisa is going to take this information when they tell her. Lisa looked at her parents and hoped that this nothing too bad of an answer about Bart's whereabouts.
"Lisa, honey." Marge gave Maggie to Homer before bending down on one knee to be on the closest height to her daughter's. "Bart is missing. We do not know where he is, honey. We are having a search party while we send out an SOS for help."
Lisa gasped in shock. She started feeling regret for not acting in stopping Bart doing the deed. Now, she is paying for her consequences. They all searched for Bart but can not find him or find any signs of him. Upon returning to America they were informed by the authorities of Africa that they could not find him, especially when they were looking in the heart of Africa. Marge and Homer had sadly come to accept that Bart is truly gone. But Lisa is not going to accept that reality.
Deep down she believed that Bart is out there somewhere and alive. She told herself that she will find a way to return to Africa and find and bring Bart back home. She owes that to him
End of FlashBack
(John2851): "As you can see, Lisa is keeping her promise to Bart in finding him and bringing him back home. And she is not leaving Africa until she finds her big brother."
Lisa heard her phone ringing and quickly answered as she thought it was Nelson. "Nelson?."
"Well, good evening to you as well, babe."
Lisa sighed in disappointment as this person is not Nelson. Instead it was her fiancé. Milhouse.
"Hey, Milhouse. What is up?." Lisa asked while putting her leg over the other.
Milhouse, who is in his office at his family's cracker factory, spoke with confidence. "Oh, I was calling to wish my favorite girl good luck. Don't take too much longer in Africa. We have our wedding to plan."
Lisa sighed and smiled. "Milhouse, I would be happy to have come along. Bart is not only my brother but he is also your best friend."
"Mmmm, yeah…best friend." Milhouse rubbed his chin. "To him I was more of a lapdog/yes boy to your brother. He never was my real friend, Lisa. You know that, babe."
Lisa can not believe what she is hearing. Ever since Bart went missing, Milhouse had started to act all bold and being a complete ass of himself. Guess you can say he is showing his true colors.
"As I said. You should have come with me. Gotta go, my ride's here. Bye." Lisa hung up her phone as soon as she saw the airport's van pulled up.
She quickly said her goodbyes to her mom and dad before going out to let Nelson load her stuff in the trunk. The two sat in the back together when driving to the airport. Unlike like that uppity asshole Milhouse, Nelson wanted to help Lisa in finding Bart. In all honesty Bart is truly Nelson's only friend. With Nelson's fucked up childhood life, Bart is the only person that put up with his bullshit. That symbolizes a true friend. When Lisa gives him the lowdown on her plan and how she will convince her college to fund her front expedition he is all in.
Especially when he knows that Lisa needs a bodyguard to protect her if things jump off the wrong way.
"You know I am still trying to figure out why you are still engaged with that punk bitch." said Nelson, before looking at his phone.
"By some strange reality I came around liking Milhouse and started dating him. Marrying him will not only keep the Simpsons family bloodline moving forward but it also gives my family financial security, since my Dad is not smart with money investments." explained Lisa.
Nelson sighed in dismay as he looked at her. "Are you even happy with him?. Don't lie."
(John2851): "Of course Lisa is going to be in denial as she claims that she is in fact in love with Milhouse. Now, Nelson may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, he knows for a fact that Lisa does not feel romantically sparked with Milhouse no matter how she is claiming that she does."
"Trust me, Nelson, I am looking forward in becoming the next Mrs. Van Houten." spoked Lisa.
Nelson rolled his eyes. "Tell that to someone who is an utter dumbass or a pothead like your sister."
(John2851): "Oooo, damn, Nelson got you there, Lisa."
Lisa made a little growl and looked up. "Oh, hush up, writer/narrator."
"Don't disrespect the one who is writing this. That has consequences. It is a proven fact, I looked up myself in regards to Fanfiction." said Nelson.
Lisa crossed her arms and made a little pout. "Like to see him try to give me the consequences of my verbal actions."
(John2851): "Alright, bet. Moving on. The two arrived at the airport and flew in first class straight to Africa. Upon arriving they were greeted by a man that Lisa knew 15 years back when she and her family visited Africa. An African man by the name of Kitenge.
"Lisa, it is so good to see you again. Look at you. You are all grown up." Kitenge let go of Lisa after hugging her.
Lisa chuckled. "Yelp, I am all grown up. I am assuming that you are our guide to the jungle, yes?."
Kitenge nodded. "Indeed. I am bringing along my three cousins who are siblings."
Upon saying that, three african men, who dressed similar to Kintenge, came to grab their luggages and put them onto the jeep. One is slightly overweight and bald. The other is average height with a box haircut. And the other is slightly buffed with a durag on his head.
"Their names are Owen, Koda, and Buto." said Kintenge.
"Nice to meet you three." Lisa spoke in Swahili.
All three spoke in Swahili as well to Kitenge surprise.
"I am impressed, Lisa. You studied Swahilian?." asked Kitenge.
Lisa chuckled with a blush. "I took a Swahili language course as extra credit in Harvard. Figure that it will come in handy when I one day return to Africa in search of Bart."
"That is good to me. Now, can we go into the jungle and set up camp?. I am starting to get hot." said Nelson, while fanning himself with his exploring hat.
"Sure, let's get in. The sun is coming down quickly. Don't want to reach our ideal destination at night. That is when the animals get very activated. Especially those nocturnal animals." said Kitenge.
(John2851): "They saddled themselves up and rode the offroad jeep into the deep deep thick words of Africa. Driving with caution they arrived at their open area spot and made camp. Lisa, who is already too excited to go to sleep, had spent the night in her tent writing in her diary while looking at the picture of her brother."
Lisa closed the pearl carved shell locket that is hooked to a golden chain that Bart has made for her before placing it up against her chest. She closed her eyes as doubt is starting to creep itself in.
"Bart, I am not giving into the reality that you are forever gone. I know you are out there. I can feel it. You and I are like yin and yang. Looking forward to finding you tomorrow." Lisa opened her eyes while jumping up a bit.
Out of nowhere, she and all the others were hearing loud drumming noises that were far away in the heart of Africa. It made everyone exit their tents to have a good ear on the nice rheumatic noise.
"Are we close to a tribe?." Nelson asked while holding onto his cigar.
"Tribe?. Yes. Human tribe?. No." Kitenge looked at Nelson seriously. "The drumming that we are currently hearing is from a tribe of apes."
"Apes?." Lisa looked at the distance.
"Yes, apes. The combined family of chimpanzees, orangutans, and gorillas. Some say they beat their drums for entertainment while others say they are sending a message." explained Kitenge.
"A message?." Nelson puffed his cigar. "A message to who?."
"To their king of the apes and jungle. The great white ape himself." said Kintenge.
"A great white ape you say?." Lisa got interested. "That I have got to see and witness with my own two eyes."
