Toriko: Namu's Buffet
Chapter 35
"Namu VS. Hito, Round 3! Part 2"
Namu was concerned. He didn't know how much longer he could keep up his shivering. It ate through kilo-calories quickly, and he didn't know what Hito was up to. Whatever Hito was planning, it couldn't be good.
"This is Onimaru." Hito said, as he raised the circular-bladed object into the air. "She's my kitchen knife."
"I thought that nodachi was your knife." Namu said in confusion.
"Please. That piece of crap could barely cut butter. But Onimaru could cut through an entire mountain range." Hito boasted.
"Bull crap!" Namu replied with indignation.
"Oh? How about a test, then?"
Suddenly, Namu felt something pass by his hands. When he looked at his hands, what he saw shocked him. His Meat Hooks had been completely diced into small bits of metal that had fallen on the ground.
"WHAT?! My bio-steel is stronger than titanium, how'd he do that with such little effort?"
"Now do you comprehend the position that you're in? Getting in the Bishokukai's way was your worst mistake!"
With those words, Hito swung Onimaru with great force, and all the metal that had been covering Namu had been completely severed from his body, and lay on the ground in a pile reminiscent of a blender that had fallen off the counter and shattered on the floor.
"AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!" Namu screamed in agony as he fell to the ground.
"Hmph." Hito scoffed at his foe as he turned and walked towards Tsubaki.
"What have we here?" Hito asked himself aloud, as he noticed the container next to Tsubaki. "Hmm. Snow White Cocoa Beans. Used to make Snow White Chocolate, a candy worth around 60,000 yen per bar. How'd a mediocre chef like you find something so nice?"
Suddenly, Hito felt something grab his ankle.
"Don't you dare…" Tsubaki mumbled, as she increased her grip on Hito's boot.
"Aw, how cute. You still fight despite the fact that you're so OUTMATCHED!" Hito yelled, as he smashed Tsubaki's face into the ground with his other foot.
Despite the massive pain, Tsubaki's grip became even tighter.
"I won't let you creeps do what you want…" Tsubaki tried to shout, but her body didn't have the energy.
"That's enough out of you!" Hito yelled, as he raised Onimaru above his head.
As Hito flung his arm downward, he heard the clang of metal against metal. What he saw filled him with fury.
Namu had blocked Onimaru with his Cleaver technique.
"HOW?! How are you still alive? How did you block Onimaru? Its blade was made from the talons of the Akira Phoenix, a beast with a Capture Level of 68!"
"It doesn't matter… No one hurts my Combo partner!" Namu yelled, with the last of his strength.
And, with almost no bio-steel, or strength left in his body, Namu collapsed once more.
"THAT'S IT! YOU'RE BOTH GOING TO DIE RIGHT N-" Hito suddenly felt a deep pain in his back.
"What?! Why can't I move?!"
"Nobody hurts my family." A man with green clothes, a scar on his right eye, and a pompadour said, as he walked in front of Hito.
"You- You're Teppei the saiseiya, aren't you?" Hito asked, in both rage and a hint of fear.
Hito and Teppei stared at each other for a moment.
"Say something, you creep!" Hito barked in rage.
"You stay there as I take care of your pink-haired friend." Teppei said, as he made his way towards Tommyrod and Toriko.
As Hito stood motionless, he looked down towards Namu and Tsubaki, only to find Namu had disappeared.
"SKEWERS!" Namu yelled as he came into vision, and stabbed Hito in the back with large metal skewers covering his hands.
"How…?" Hito asked in a weakened voice.
"It's weird. Ever since I was young, I could camouflage myself with my surroundings. I only use it for difficult Beasts. I hate doin' it in fights 'cuz it feels like cheating. I also combined it with Life Erase, so you couldn't sense me either."
With that last attack, Namu and Hito both fell onto the cold ground, their match a draw.
END OF CHAPTER!
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hey everyone, hope you liked this chapter. I'm not sure if I ever said what those beans Tsubaki found on that tree a few chapters ago were, but now you know. Also, remember the Akira Phoenix for later.
I'd also appreciate some constructive criticism on my writing skills. I feel like I re-use words and phrases a lot, and, IDK, sometimes I think my writing lacks pizzazz. So if you have suggestions, let me know (if you wanna).
Until next time.
JA NE!
