Kagome made her way back as fast as she could. Her heart was pounding in her skull. There were so many people in this battle, almost too many people. Sesshomaru's father had indeed gathered and army, and the dragons were not anywhere in the sky. They didnt seem to be helping, but they didnt seem to be hurting either.

She dragged on and it seemed no one paid her any mind, that was until she got closer. Panting, tired, and searching she was grabbed roughly by the arm, "What are you doing here you fool!"

"Tamara!"

"Where is Lord Sesshomaru?" The cat hissed,

"I was hoping you knew!"

"You should not be here,"

"Why cant I?"

Tamara looked down and then back up, "I could smell you a mile away,"

Kagome snatched her hand away, "I need to get to him,"

"He does not need your help,"

"Yes, he does!"

"I think you have done enough help, leave and go home,"

"I can end this,"

"You cant do anything in your condition,"

"I have to warn him about Naraku!"

"What of him,"

"He is somewhere here, playing like he is here to help but he isn't,"

Tamara looked around, "You sure?" Then the cat lifted her nose into the air "Why are you bleeding,"

Kagome swollen, "Mal got me with her blade,"

Shock marred the cat's face,

"It isn't bad, I need to find Sesshomaru,"

"See to your wounds, I will locate Sesshomaru,"

"I want to come,"

"I beg of you, listen to me!"

Kagome wasn't sure,

"If I am not back by nightfall, then by all means Miko,"

Kagome wasn't sure she could wait that long "Fiine,"

Tamara took off.

Kagome couldn't wait till nightfall. But she did give her cat sister a head start in the matter and then, she followed in her path. She would soon discover that Tamara would have never made it back by nightfall.

Kagome rushed to her and knelt down by her side, "Tamara!"

Tamara lifted her bloody hand, "You carry the prince inside you, you must go home where it is safe,"

"This is my fault, I should have gone,"

"You would be here instead of me,"

"So!"

"You carry the prince, carry him well,"

Tears filled Kagome's face as Tamara died in her arms.

Sesshomaru had lost another wife.

He was running out of wives and she was running out of lives.

Kagome laid her down with a new fire inside her. She was sick of war, and power struggles, and dumb laws that made no damn sense.

Unafraid she forged on, deep in the wages of war. Through muck and rain till she found him.

"Sesshomaru!" She yelled from a distance and it was like ice to his gut.

He was at her side in a moment, "What are you doing here!"

"I can end this!"

"I should kill you," He snapped,

"Well go ahead then!"

"Kagome!" He roared "Now is not the time for this,"

"Why am I pregnant!"

He stared at her, shock clear in his eyes,

"You told me before I would beg and you deny me, so why?"

"Miko," His tone warning,

"Answer me!" She screamed,

"I smell blood,"

Kagome looked away "Tamara died,"

The grip he had on her arm loosened a bit, "It was my fault,"

"She died doing what she wanted to Miko,"

"Why," She whispered, "Why do you let them fight and not me,"

"They not carrying my seed!"

He watched as something crossed her mind and face and so she asked again "Why did you give me a baby,"

"Now is not the time for this go home,"

She yanked her arm away, "It was because I was just there at the right time wasn't it,"

He was growing angry with her,

"Your father told you to do it, didnt he,"

She wasn't far off,

"The West needed a king in case..." She trailed off, "I was the only one left,"

"Kagome,"

"So instead of letting me help you do this, send me home alone, and I hope I made it back okay. What if I didn't?" She yelled,

"Kaugra!" He yelled,

"Im not leaving,"

"Yes, you are!"

"I want to help!"

"You cant help Kagome, go home and wait for me,"

"Naraku is here,"

Kaugra landed, "What is she doing here,"

"Being stupid," He pushed Kagome towards Kagura "Get her out of here!"

"Why can they all fight and not me!"

He closed the distance and glared down at her, "They are not my mate nor pregnant with my child, and in case you forgot Tamara is dead,"

"You dont have to tell me what!"

Sesshomaru looked at Kagura. Kaugra with a snap of magic had Kagome on her feather and in the sky.

"You jerk!" She screamed! "You better not die!"

He had zero intentions of dying.

Kagome glared at Kaugra,

"You should not have come back,"

"He doesn't love me," Anger built up again, "Lower it or I jump,"

The fire in Kagome's eyes told the wind witch that it was no mere threat. Kagome would do it.
