"...Is that a fucking mech?" Kirishima asked, his eyes wide as he watched the yellow Zord trade blows with the Zero Pointer. He had heard what the applicant inside had said before engaging. The willingness to stand alone just to make sure everyone else was okay. It was... well... It was just so manly!

He snapped himself out of it and turned to a boy with blue hair and what looked like engines protruding out of his legs. "Hey! You heard the dude! Go check if anyone's hurt!"

The boy turned to Kirishima, snapping out of his own stupor. "Right!" he bowed in a straight 90 degree angle before running off. Kirishima then made his way to the exit, secretly glad that Mina wasn't here. This thing was dangerous and... there was probably also one in every testing ground. Fuck.

"MINA!" Kirishima yelled, trying to find her testing site.

Tenya Iida was ashamed of himself. As soon as that massive robot appeared, the Engine user completely froze up in fear. So much so that when one of the applicants called upon a mech to protect everyone, he still froze up. It was only when one of the other applicants snapped him out of it did Tenya turn to action.

He saw a round faced girl trapped under the rubble, and judging by the fact that the mech kept trying to maneuver away from where she was trapped, Tenya figured it's operator knew she was there and was trying not to get any closer and risk more falling debris.

Think, Tenya, think! The boy thought to himself. I can't use Recipro Burst now, it would just stall out my engine before getting her out of safety. Maybe if build up some momentum I can kick the rubble out of the way?

Deciding to put his plan to the test, Iida ran as fast as he could, using the momentum of his speed to kick the rubble, giving the girl enough room to crawl out.

"Are you okay?" Iida asked the girl, noticing her wince.

"No, I think my leg is broken..." The girl winced, promptly turning into a yelp as Tenya picked her up.

"Apologies, but allow me to bring you to safety, miss." Tenya said with a small smile as he started to run.

"O-okay." The girl muttered, looking away shyly as the Engine user activated Recipro Burst.

Izuku, meanwhile was having a rough go of it. It was one thing when it was combat training with his vestiges. Fighting a 2000 ton giant robot in a giant yellow Garuda Zord was a whole other beast entirely. He couldn't keep having a back and forth slugfest with the damn thing.

"Okay, looks like everyone's out of danger. I guess now it's time to go all out!" Izuku yelled, focusing as he made the Zord spread its wings.

I have maneuverability on my side. If I can keep strafing the thing, I should be able to find a weak point. It's a giant robot, right? I got lightning in this thing. I should be able to short it out... I hope.

The Mystic Garuda gracefully soared through the air, avoiding the Zero Pointer's missiles as Izuku took a deep breath. How should he handle this?

...

...

...

That's it!

Izuku focused on the Garuda, willing it to unleash white hot lightning from it's eyes straight into the Zero Pointer's glowing red eye. Deprived of its sight, Izuku then charged forward, impaling his Zords wings into the Zero Pointer's chest.

"Lets end this, Garuda! Electric..." Every applicant's arms began to stand on end from the sheer electric power. "Final..." The ground itself began to quake from the power that the Mystic Garuda was charging up. "STRIKE!"

The Mystic Garuda Zord let out a volley of lightning straight into the Zero Pointer's chest, destroying it instantly.

"ARE YOU SHITTING ME? DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO DESTROY ONE OF THOSE DAMN THINGS?!" Power Loader bellowed in disbelief, watching as Izuku jumped out of his Zord and demorphed, completely unharmed.

"You say that like we don't have a budget that would make the US government blush." Cementoss pointed out.

"...Hm. I'm impressed. He showed tactical knowledge, waiting until everyone was safely outside of the vicinity before depriving the Zero Pointer of its sight." Aizawa said quietly, mostly to himself. "If he makes it in, I want him in my class." He told the Chimera sitting at the front of the table.

"There are no guarantees but... I agree. Someone with that much drive deserves to be in Hero Studies." All Might agreed, knowing damn well he was sounding like a hypocrite. He was the one who had told Izuku Midoriya that he could never be a hero if he didn't have a Quirk, despite himself being in the boys shoes. And here was that same boy taking everything that he said and proving the Number 1 Hero wrong. He didn't know whether to be upset that Izuku clearly didn't listen to advice, or proud that Izuku clearly didn't listen to his advice.

One thing was for sure, though: He needed to have a chat with Young Midoriya. Even if it was only to apologize.

"You could convince him to dual enroll. I know that someone is practically salivating at that gear he has." Nemuri crooned in a teasing manner, her eyes widening when Maijima shook his head.

"No, he deserves the Hero Classes. As much as I would love to take that thing apart and see what makes it tick, I know that my students would do more harm than good when it came to that boy." Power Loader said. "That being said, if someone decides to expel him on the first day..."

"Then he'll be going straight into my class. That boy has the heroic spirit." Vlad King smiled at the batch of applicants that cracked the top 50, knowing that only 40 of them would make it to the hero class. "They all do."

"Well then, it seems you all have made your decisions then!" Principal Nezu said happily before sipping his tea. "I expect you to make your choices as to who's going where and get them to me by the end of this week."

"So... how'd you do?" Inko asked nervously, looking into the face of his son, who slowly began to smile.

Ever since that day her baby boy had come home with that watch on his wrist... No, that Morpher, she knew she had to do everything she could to make sure that Izuku achieved his dream. The Vestiges helped with the physical work, of course, training her darling boy to be ready for the responsibility they gave him, but Inko was always there with a hot meal on the table ready for him, eager to hear how his training is going or in this case, how the exam went.

It wasn't like Hisashi was going to do it, after all.

The man was, for all intents and purposes, a loser. A literal man child who would rather play Pokemon than be there for the birth of his son. It was because of that fact that she and Izuku were living in an apartment, barely making ends meet. And yet... she was happy. As bad as Hisashi was... she still got Izuku out of it all. She still had her darling boy. Even though he most certainly was not planned, Inko knew she wouldn't change a single thing.

"...I think I did really good, actually. I even got to summon one of the Zords for the first time!" Izuku grinned as he wolfed down his katsudon.

"I see, and what about you, Eric? What do you think?" She asked the Vestige of the Quantum Ranger, who she knew was Izuku's greatest critic, though she knew he did it out of a strive for him to be better.

"Honestly, he did quite well. Your piloting of the Garuda Zord could use some work, but he exceeded all of our expectations. We thought it would take him another month to figure out how to fly in the thing." Eric admitted with a smile, before giving Izuku a stern look. "That doesn't mean you can get complacent, though. There is always something to learn from your battles. Even your victories. There's always something to improve, got it?"

Izuku nodded. "Yes, sir!"

Eric chuckled. "Good. Now, I'm sure your mom would agree that you should get some rest. I'm sure your acceptance letter will be coming in any day now."

"He's right, it's only a matter of time, and I know you want to clean up as much of that beach as you can." Inko pointed out.

"Yeah, you aren't wrong." Izuku chuckled, finishing his katsudon before hugging his mother. "Night, mum."

"Good night sweetie." Inko said, smiling at her son's retreating back.

"He's such a good boy."

Woah, what's this? 2 chapters in a day? Did I get some sort of sorcery along with Izuku? No, of course not. I've just been having a lot of fun writing this story and it's lead to me being REALLY motivated. Power Rangers is kind of my hyperfixation, so I knew this story would be my primary focus as soon as I started writing. Also, I was basically done with the previous chapter last night anyway and only did some minor touch ups this morning.

Also yes, if you couldn't guess from this chapter, I'm going with IidaOcha instead of IzuOcha for this story. Crazy, I know. I'm not quite sure who I want to pair Izuku up with, so if you have some ideas, by all means either PM me or drop it in the reviews.

Next up is going to be a little different, it's going to be a VERY exposition heavy chapter that I'm going to be calling "Legacy Chapters" because it's going to be focused on the History of Power Rangers in chronological order. This does not mean that that team is who Izuku is going to be morphing into next. I want to do this mainly to get everyone on the same page. Either your an old fan who needs a refresher, or you're a new fan who hasn't seen the past 30 Years of Power Ranger content.

I don't... actually know how long these chapters are going to be, and they are absolutely optional if you don't need a refresher, but they will be there if you need them

Anyway, that's enough of me ranting for a while. As always, drive the speed limit, drink some water, and love one another. Pizza!
