Welcome back to They Really Really Reall- I need to shorten this. I put T5RB for when I title my documents for this fic so… eh, close enough. Glad to see a positive response to the story. It's been a while since I've written anything other than Senran Persona for fan fiction so it's a nice change of pace. Although, I'm not going to interact with the person trying to advertise making a comic out of this because I'm pretty sure it's a scam, given the fact that their handles do not exist and when I tried to look up their DeviantArt account, it was deactivated. Stay safe on the internet, people, because if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

And hey, do you have any suggestions for girlfriends? Don't be shy, I have some pretty out there girls already on the "Definitely" list.

Load Game… Start!

Chapter 2: Bumbling Bee

What a lovely morning today was.

The birds were singing (even the ravens), the sky was a clear, bright blue, the sun shining high in the sky, and the Grimm…

Well, the Grimm were the same as ever, murderous with a hate boner for anything that could register as living, but that made the unending and brutal task of culling every single monster on this godforsaken planet.

Anyways, it was a good morning for many people around Remnant, especially the many up-and-coming hunters around the world as they readied themselves for a day of learning and training.

And so, for the newly formed harem of Blake Belladonna, it should be the best day ever, right?

Well…

"I'm dating two people at the same time they're okay with it." Blake muttered, slumped over, looking already exhausted.

"I'm dating a girl and sharing her with another girl." Weiss whispered, doing her best to keep her breathing ready despite being on the edge of a panic attack.

"I have no idea how to be a girlfriend…" Ruby groaned, trying to force her hood over her entire face to hide her embarrassment from the world.

…So, safe to say, it could be better.

Currently, Blake, Ruby, and Weiss were all making their way to the designated location of the initiation test. And while they spent a rather decent amount of time enjoying their new relationship and getting some other secreta out of the way (like Blake's past affiliations), reality was a cruel mistress and the consequences of their actions soon began to set in.

"So… did anyone here just discover they liked other girls?" Weiss cautiously asked her girlfriend and… uh… her girlfriend's girlfriend.

"I-I mean, I've had crushes and stuff before but-but, um…" Ruby spoke, stammering all the while.

"No." Blake freely admitted. She knew about her sexuality since she discovered the wonderful world of smut when she snuck into her mother's collection of blank cover books.

"Oh. Good." The heiress mumbled as she continued walking. She was thankful that not a lot of students were outside right now.

"Weiss, you look really nervous." Ruby noticed as she pulled off her hood. "Is it pre-test jitters?"

"More like post-confession jitters." Weiss replied. "I have to be honest with you, Ruby, I didn't think I'd be dating so soon."

"Me neither, but you just have to roll with the punches."

"I don't think we can in our… unique situation." Weiss muttered with a frown before turning to their love. "I think we need to hash out the details of our relationship now that Ruby and I are dating you."

"Right." Blake agreed.

"What details?" Ruby had to ask.

"Well, there are definitely going to be obstacles in our way if we want to stay together." Weiss explained.

"What? Like our parents?" Ruby assumed before blinking. "Oh Gods! How do I tell dad about this!? How do I tell Yang about this!?" She then panicked.

"Oh. Her." Blake got out, sweating a little. The last time they interacted, she didn't seem all that pleased with her being with Ruby.

Weiss then said something that instantly got their attention. "You guys do realize we're going to have to keep our relationship a secret, right?"

"W-What? How come?" Ruby asked, looking a little saddened by the prospect.

"Ruby, it's… strange." Blake answered, wincing with regret. "People will talk about us behind our backs about this. Or to our fronts. There's definitely going to be others who think we're… easy."

As much as she wanted to show to the world how much she loved her soulmates, there were too many people who would hate or even try to take advantage of it. It was disgusting anyone would see their love as impure or whatever, but there was nothing to be done about it sadly enough.

"Also, given who I am, this could cause a serious scandal." Weiss added with a sigh. "And I'm sure my family won't like it that much."

"What?" Ruby gasped in disbelief. "Your folks wouldn't… accept you?"

"My sister would. Maybe my little brother. My mom… well, she'd be too drunk to realize what I'm saying." Weiss responded before frowning. "And then there's… him."

"Who?"

"My father." Weiss said.

"Your father?" Ruby repeated.

"Her father." Blake spat out. "He's…"

"He's a [The following insults have been censored in order to keep this story at a Teen rating. Although coarse language is suitable, what Weiss is saying right now has a possibility of causing babies in the vicinity to cry, birds to die, and increases the chances of stubbing your toe. Look, if I actually went through with writing out everything she's saying right now, it would add at least ten pages or a five minute long bleep. I am not kidding. Man, for an heiress raised so strictly, she has a seriously comprehensive grasp of every swear in the English– erm, Remnant language. Is this gag going on for too long? No, this isn't because I couldn't think of anything for Weiss to say here. Ah, she's just about to finish… and…] nincompoop!" Weiss very angrily yelled out, causing both Blake and Ruby to step away from her with widened eyes. "...Ahem, I… I don't like him."

"Yeah, I… I think I figured that out." Ruby awkwardly mumbled.

"I'm going to assume he's not going to approve of me." Blake then deadpanned.

"He doesn't approve of me on a good day!" Weiss growled, clenching her hands into fists. "If I'm not perfect by his standards by the time he retires, I can't become the CEO. And this… our relationship would be detrimental to his future plans. Especially since I won't be bearing any heirs like this."

"Wow, racism and homophobia. What a winning combo." Blake sarcastically grumbled.

"You don't know the half of it." The heiress sighed. "I'm betting he's arranging a marriage as soon as I graduate Beacon with some guy I haven't even met. Maybe sooner."

Blake began to see red. She might not like the situation the God of Love put her in, but at least she absolutely adored her girlfriends. "That won't happen. I won't let that happen!"

"Of course you won't, my darling, but… he has so much power, so much… control." Weiss responded with a sad smile. "Unless he suddenly passed away or gets himself arrested, there's not much I can do if I want to become CEO. It'll go to my brother."

"Why do you want to be the CEO?" Ruby had to ask.

"Because… It's my family's legacy. My duty. My… destiny." Weiss replied. "Plus… I want to change it. Turn it into something more… respectable. For everyone." At that last part, Weiss turned to her girlfriend and smiled.

Blake inhaled a little bit of air, realizing what her wonderful fencer was saying. "For me?"

"For… making up for my hatred." Weiss said. "And for you. If that wasn't the case, I'd definitely give it all away for you, Blake."

"Y-You don't have to."

"I want to."

"Weiss…"

"Blake…"

"Ruby!" The red cloaked girl exclaimed before letting out a giggle. "Sorry, I just wanted to join in."

"You…" Weiss rolled her eyes before pulling Ruby's hood over her head playfully.

"Hey!" Ruby pouted, puffing her cheeks while glaring at her fellow girlfriend.

"So cute." Blake thought with a gushing smile. "Okay, okay. Quit it, you two. This is a serious discussion."

"Right. It's not like I'm thinking about bringing you to Atlas to show you off to family anytime soon, taking the chance to rub it in my father's face I'm a 100% lesbian while I make out in front of everyone, and show that I'm sharing her with a literal child, even going into my father's office to make a real mess of his things and get all the faunus stink all over his precious things so that all he will think about when using it is how me and my wonderful, sweet faunus girlfriend completely ruined all his plans for me."

Blake looked at the heiress oddly, before it slowly dawned on her what was happening.

"...Weiss, are you–"

"Huh? What?" Weiss got out as she snapped back to reality. She then saw both Blake and Ruby looking at her weirdly. Oh no, did she say all of that out loud!? "I-I'm not like I'm getting aroused by all the ways I could anger my father or anything!"

Ruby and Blake looked at each other, not sure how to respond. "...It would be fun though." Ruby eventually admitted.

"...It would." Weiss agreed. It would be so worth the disowning. "But… he can be dealt with later. Let's focus on the more pressing issues."

"Oh, like the whole White Fang thing." Ruby remembered. Blake had told her soulmates the important details of her past back at the rooftop.

"And Adam." Blake added, groaning in worry. "He's probably hunting me down as we speak."

"We're not going to let him get even near you." Ruby stated with a determinef look on her face. "You're with us, and he's going to have to accept that."

"He won't take it lying down though." Blake pointed out. "I'm… I'm scared he'll try to… to…"

"Kill us?" Weiss finished. "That does seem likely given your description of him." She then muttered, grimacing as she realized he would very much enjoy murdering her.

"He's strong too." Blake then said. "One of the best fighters in the White Fang. Even if we fight him together, I can't guarantee you'll all turn out fine."

"Well, it's not like we'll have to fight him anytime soon." Ruby soon pointed out. "We're in Beacon Academy. By the time we're finished, we should be strong enough to take him down."

"And before we're ready for him?" Blake questioned in a serious manner. "What if he finds me?"

"Then… we'll do our best."

"Ruby!" Weiss called out.

"It's a lot of unknowns, okay?" Ruby said. "I admit, it is a little scary to think that we're going have to fight your psychotic ex-boyfriend but… we'll get through this together. No matter what."

"So naïve." Weiss sighed.

"I'm being optimistic, Weiss." The younger girl pouted. "If anything, we could get help. If it's not from the police, the school might be able to help."

"We can't stay in the school forever though." Blake pointed out. "He'll probably try to force us… or just me… to face him. I can't let him hurt anyone else just to draw me out."

"Well, they still might be able to help." Ruby responded in a comforting manner as she looked her girlfriend directly in the eyes. "You aren't alone anymore, Blake. Remember that."

Blake swallowed, needing to pinch herself before she lost herself in those glittery silver orbs (god, she reads too many bad romance novels). "...I'll be sure to keep that in mind."

"Anyone else that might get in the way of our relationship?" Weiss asked.

"There's Yang." Ruby replied as she grimaced. "She wasn't too happy I was with you."

"I think dealing with your older sister should be our priority." Weiss suggested. "What can you tell us about her, Ruby?"

"She's the best older sister a sibling could ask for but… Yang is pretty overprotective. She thought I shouldn't date until I was 30 or something. Or to marry Crescent Rose…"

Blake snickered. She knew how much Ruby loved Crescent Rose but surely she wasn't serious about- "...Ruby?" She spoke, noticing how long her girlfriend was staring at her weapon.

"I-I wouldn't do that. Crescent Rose is not exactly girlfriend material." Ruby quickly assured while putting it away. "But Yang will definitely try the whole If you ever hurt her schtick. I've seen her practice in front of the mirror for it."

"I would never hurt you." Blake declared before she started to breathe a little too heavily at the thought of harming a soulmate. "Promise me if I ever do, make sure I stay. Chain me down if you have to."

"B-Blake, I don't-" Weiss got out, looking rather concerned.

"Please…!"

"Okay! Okay! We'll make sure you don't run or something!" Ruby assured as her fellow girlfriend nodded.

"Good. Good…"

Ruby could only laugh nervously as she continued on the topic of her older sister. "Blake, you don't really have to go that far. I know you wouldn't do anything like that but Yang's been looking out for me my whole life. I wouldn't be too surprised if she tried to punch you out. She's done it before."

"I'll… do my best to be careful around her." As much as Aura protected her, Blake knew her limits.

"Is there anything we should worry about your family?" Weiss then asked.

"No, I don't think so." THe cat faunus shook her head. "Although, having two girlfriends might surprise my parents, they're pretty accepting as long as I'm happy."

"Are you?" Ruby then questioned.

Blake couldn't help but laugh. "What do you think?"

Her girlfriend joined in her laughter. "Enough with the heavy stuff now. We're supposed to be girlfriends. Let's act like it." Weiss soon declared.

"Oh. Yeah. That sounds good." Ruby nodded happily. "...So, do we kiss or…?" She then asked in a quiet, nervous tone. It would be her first kiss after all, and from the looks of Weiss' expression of timid posture, she shared the same inexperience.

"Let's start off easy, okay?" Blake said as she grabbed both of her girlfriends' hands, giggling when their faces turned a bright red.

"Y-Your hands…" Weiss stammered, her delicate fingers interlaced with her darling.

"Ar-Are really soft." Ruby mumbled, rubbing her fingers into Blake's palm.

"Yours are too. Now, let's go." Blake smiled as she gripped her girlfriends' hands gently.

What a lovely morning today was.

What a stupid, terrible, no good, oh-god-what-is-happening-right-now morning.

That was what Yang was thinking as she stood stiffly on the platform on the cliff overlooking a Grimm-infested forest; the site of her upcoming Initiation.

Now, why is that? Well, if you've read the previous (and why wouldn't you?), you'd know that Yang was there when Blake got together with her little sister and some girl they just met yesterday. She had been replaying that scene in her head time and time again since she snuck away.

go out with me…

go out with me…

go out with me…

That shouldn't have worked! Now, had been on quite a few dates ever since she began the slow and embarrassing phenomenon known as puberty. Both guys and girls have tried to win her over with flowers, and chocolates, and other free stuff that she took advantage of, but they all didn't have that… spark that her dad told her about.

"When I saw Summer for the first time, I felt a spark between us. Small but it was there from the beginning. But because it was so small, I didn't realize what she was to me until years down the line, after you were born. Don't make the same mistakes as I did, Yang. Once you find your special person, don't let them go."

He then proceeded to follow it up with the worst puppet show in the world, trying to explain the birds and the bees, but she kept that lesson to heart ever since.

She loved to party, she loved to have fun, but she had never gone anywhere past holding hands. Made some great friends along the way, discovered new things about herself, but nothing ever serious came out of it.

And then Miss Dark, Mysterious, and Broody just swoops in and steals her sister's heart without anything other than meeting her and some flowery words!

At least the most pathetic of people (sorry, Brad Burgundy) asking her out put in more effort than that!

AND SHE WAS SHARING HER WITH SOME OTHER RANDOM GIRL!

Ice… Sneeze, or whatever. She wasn't in the mood to care right now.

No one, in the history of Remnant, falls in love that fast. And from the looks of it (as the lovers had just arrived), they were just one joking proposal away from tying the knot together. It was like she was in a bad fan fiction and she was the only sane person in this incredibly stupid plot to point out how absolutely insane this all was.

Brothers, she could practically see the hearts they were producing, bubbling and popping around them. And by the way, that is not the sound love should be. Love is not wet.

…I-In some cases. You know, because… um…

There is no good way to continue that line of thinking without delving into what really revs her engine so… let's skip to the whole "kids being flung into a deadly forest" thing.

"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." Ozpin began as he looked at all the hopefuls of this year. Maybe if it all worked out…

"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams." Miss Goodwitch spoke. "Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today."

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well."

Weiss and Ruby instantly looked over to Blake, who nodded at both of them.

Meanwhile, Yang was narrowing her eyes at the cat. If she wanted to find out what made Ruby fall in love so hard and fast that she would start dating her with someone else in less than 24 waking hours of knowing her, she'd need to become her partner… and stop Ruby or Weiss from getting to her first.

Looks like it was going to be a three-way for her partnership.

"That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next. Four. Years." Ozpin then informed, smiling as he saw the nervous faces of a couple of students.

Such as…

SHATTER!

Ah, that never got old.

The sounds of someone's world and plan shattering before them. A No. 1 lesson for all hunters to know: plans rarely ever survive first contact with the enemy.

Although, some expected reactions didn't come to pass.

Ruby - the young, socially awkward teen - was grinning with excitement.

Blake - the cool, mysterious, and collected young woman - looked like she might be having a panic attack.

"Eye contact?" Blake murmured, suddenly dreading the test. I mean, why wouldn't she be? She got two girlfriends out of eye contact.

No, wait, she didn't think of it as bad per say, but…

She knew she had other soulmates that she would meet, but she had just started dating her wonderful girlfriends. If she got zinged during the Initiation, it would put a serious stress on her budding relationship.

Dammit, they hadn't even kissed yet! She wanted a little more time to get to know them before she met another soulmate. She didn't want to jump straight into… well… cheating…

"I… I need to find them first." Blake mentally realized. She couldn't fight against fate, but she could at least delay it for long enough to be with the cutest girls in the world (fight me) and maybe get them into the idea of bringing in others into their group.

But then again… it might be a good idea to partner up with Yang. If she managed to convince her of how nice and wonderful she was and the amount of effort she was going to put into making her girlfriends happy, she might be able to reduce her chances of getting her head punched clean off.

But that's only if they met. It could be another person entirely that would become her partner.

"...I'll figure it out when it happens." Blake finally decided.

As Blake, Ruby, Weiss, and Yang were already making plans, the teachers continued their instructions. "After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die." Ozpin soon warned.

A blond loser laughed nervously, really thinking about his chances of surviving the test, before gulping loudly.

"You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene." The headmaster then informed. "You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?"

Before anyone could raise their hand, Weiss shot her hand up. "Professor Ozpin."

"Yes, Miss Schnee?"

"Um, if we were to make eye contact with two other people at the same time, does that make us all partners?" The heiress asked as she glanced over to Blake and Ruby. Maybe they wouldn't have to fight each other over Blake's partnership.

Ozpin looked surprised. "Hm, good question." He admitted. "Well, it would be convenient given that there's an odd-number of students this year. However, teams are usually made up of two pairs of partners and there's only enough beds in the dorms to house four people per room. Also, five tends to be a very unlucky number among monster hunters. We can freely check the footage down to the millisecond to see whose eyes met whose first. However, if it is truly at the same time three of you meet each others' eyes… we'll flip a coin."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes." With a shrug, Ozpin looked around once again while ignoring Weiss' facepalm. Guess peace was never an option. "Are there any other questions?"

The blond boy raised his hand.

"Good! Now, take your positions."

With that, most of the Beacon hopefuls began to prepare for the start of the test.

"I have to get to Blake first." Yang mentally declared as she cracked her knuckles.

"I have to become Blake's partner!" Ruby and Weiss thought in unison, a competitive fire lit in their eyes.

"...I really hope my partner doesn't kill me…" Blake mumbled under her breath as she readied herself.

It only took a few seconds, but soon enough, they were flung into the forest.

You know, despite how much she hated this world, she loved the sight of it high above ground level. There was a level of freedom of just… flying around, enjoying the sights and smell without having to worry about– hey, is that-

WHAM!

"BIRDIE NO!"

…When she was conscious, she was going to spit on Summer's grave.

Meanwhile, Ruby pulled the raven's unconscious body off her face and focused on landing, as the treeline was getting very close. She quickly pulled out Crescent Rose and fired off a few rounds to slow her down, then transformed the weapon into its scythe form to catch the branch of a tree in her blade and fall downward at a slower pace, finally landing on the ground with a roll.

Landing strategy… success!

"Gotta find Blake. Gotta find Blake. Gotta find Blake!" Ruby chanted in her mind, activating Petal Burst to rush through the forest, all the while talking to herself.

"I need to find Blake so we can stay together forever and ever and stay in the same room. That way I get more time her than Weiss and we can do so much together that couples only do. Like… bake cookies, cuddle… shower together. Gahh, no, stop that. You're sharing her with someone Ruby. You shouldn't be so greedy. Besides, there's a ton of other students in the forest so I might run into them instead and become their partner! No, no, I only want Blake! My sweet kitten, my wonderful girlfriend. Maybe I should keep my eyes closed until I hear her voice. That… That might work… but I'll definitely get a face full of bark… or run into a Grimm. Okay, scratch that, eyes open and just… make sure you don't do anything dumb. Yeah. If you see someone and they aren't in trouble, ignore them. They'll be fine. Just find Blake first and if that doesn't happen, find Yang. But for all the cookies and milk in the world, don't make be partners with–"

WHAM!

She really hoped she had just rammed into a tree and not someone with a very familiar chest.

"Owowowow!" Ruby moaned in pain as she held her forehead.

"Urghhh… my coccyx…"

The two students froze, recognising each other's voices before instinctively turning their heads, making eye contact before they could stop themselves.

"Weiss?"

"Ruby?"

It took a few seconds, but they soon realized the horrible mistake they had both made… and reacted appropriately.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Blake snapped her head up, turning her head towards the cry of anguish she just heard from her spot on the top-most branch of the tallest tree in the area.

"That's Ruby and Weiss." Blake muttered to herself. She couldn't help but laugh a little, even though she did feel a little sad that she wasn't with her girlfriends. Still, they were together, so it did help with the little bit of worry she had some jerk would become their partner.

Like that big guy in armor, leering at the girls and disdainfully at the faunus. She'd stab him as soon as he even touched one of her wonderful girlfriends.

"Okay, that throws out that idea." Blake soon got out as she began hopping down the tree to ground level. She had climbed up there to locate her soulmates, and now with the confidence that they would take care of each other, she would need a new plan. "I… I can probably get a relic without a partner. When I make it back, I might be able to convince Ozpin if I can join Ruby and Weiss' team and–"

"You MONSTER!"

Another voice, followed by the sounds of shotgun blasts, and Grimm being mauled and sent through some trees.

Her potential partner.

Instantly leaping into the trees, she made her way to the source of the sounds of fighting. Roars, cries of rage, the smell of burning wood (huh, s'mores would be nice)...

"There." She whispered as she landed on the ground, spotting the hunter amongst the monsters.

It was Yang, and she was…

"What! You want some, too?!"

BLAM! CRASH!

…Causing a forest fire and making lumber.

"Smokey the Ursa, eat your heart out." Blake thought as she watched Yang fight off the sloth of bear Grimm (yes, that's what a group of bears is called).

The blonde brawler was like a whirlwind of fire, blasting away Ursai like it was nothing. Even the Grimm hesitated when Yang turned to glare directly at it, her eyes glowing red with fury.

But… something was off…

Blake's eyes widened. Yang looked like she was out of stamina, low on Aura even. If she took on the Ursa head-on, she would be looking so pretty afterwards.

It was no use. Blake's body moved before she could even think. She threw Gambol Shroud into the beast's back, killing it instantly before it fell to the ground.

Yang panted as she looked down at the dead Grimm before looking up, her eyes turning back from red to its normal purple color. "I could've taken him."

So her partner was Yang Xiao Long. You know what, that was fine. It would give her time to soften her up to dating her little sister and then–

ZING!

Huh?

"Oh."

What.

"H-Hey, partner."

Wait.

"Funny that we ran into each other."

No.

"I was looking for you."

No no no no no no no!

"Yang's my soulmate too!?" Blake thought in disbelief. "I-I didn't expect to meet another one so soon and- wait, have I not made eye contact with her this entire time!? Wait, I HAVE TO DATE RUBY'S OLDER HALF-SISTER!?"

Yang looked at the cat girl strangely, as Blake had been blanking out for at least a minute now. She didn't seem to even blink. "Um, Mission control to Blake. Hello? Do you copy? Is anyone in there?" The blonde asked in concern as she waved her hand in front of her partner's face.

"Huh?" Blake got out as she smelled Yang's perfume, latching onto it to return to reality.

"Welcome back." Yang chuckled. "You spaced out there. You okay?"

"I-I'm fine." Blake was not fine, if you were wondering.

"Get your head in the game. We have a test, you know."

Blake grimaced. That sort of mistake would kill lesser fighters if they were in immediate danger. She needed to focus! She was in the middle of Grimm territory, not the school, not with her girlfriends (man, she's been thinking about them a lot). She had years of training and discipline to handle something like this, she was not going to throw that all away because of this totally steaming firecracker in front of her.

"Sorry, I was appreciating the view."

Or she could just die. That was an option.

As Blake mentally slammed her face into the nearest tree, Yang's cheeks flushed a little red.

Gah! What was wrong with her!? That was a pick-up line straight from Mr. Dreamy's 102 Pick-Up Lines That Will Totally Win A Maiden's Heart. You know, the book she shared a good laugh at with her girl friends at Signal.

So, why was it kinda working?

And dammit, was that a spark just now!? Was that what her dad talked about when he met Summer?

No no no, this was all going so wrong! She had a plan and everything and now it was all falling to the wayside because… ahhhh!

Oh crap, she had to respond soon or else she might notice something was up. Thankfully, this entire thought process happened in only a quarter of a second, giving her plenty of time to prepare her response with a masterfully crafted–

"Enjoying it, Blake? Well, I don't mind giving you a free show as long as you don't go barking up the wrong tree. Y-You know… 'cause there's a lotta trees around."

…Crash and burn.

Blake silently looked at the blonde in confusion as Yang mentally banged her head against said tree before attempting to act like she wasn't internally self-destructing from her shame decision to wake up today.

"I-I-I mean, you're not too bad yourself." Yang stammered out before turning around to hide her face. "Come on, partner, we have a relic to grab."

"Weiss is going to kill me." Blake mumbled to herself as she followed the blonde deeper into the forest.

As Yang led Blake towards the direction of the abandoned ruins, it gave the newly formed duo to… well, silently panic.

"If I don't date her too, she will suffer a fate worse than death. But she's your girlfriend's sister, that you've only been dating for less than a couple of hours. How do I explain this to Ruby and Weiss!? Will they break up with me over this!? Oh, please don't take them away like that!"

"Ahhhhhhhhhh! She's Ruby's first freaking girlfriend! You shouldn't be feeling this way, you dumb bimbo! Oh, sure, she's also sharing her with someone else but this is your sweet baby sister for crying out loud! That's worse than cheating, it's… advanced cheating. I can't turn out to be worse than dad's ex-wife!"

They were perfect for each other.

Meanwhile, Ruby and Weiss were dragging their feet to the ruins, having cost each other the chance of partnering up with their beloved girlfriend. Oh, they definitely went into serious mode when they got ambushed by Grimm (probably attracted to their despair), but overall they were less than enthused to be together.

"...So." Ruby spoke.

"So." Weiss responded curtly.

"You were pretty good back there."

"Thank you. You were too."

"Thank you, Weiss."

"You have a good Semblance."

"Yours is cool too."

"..."

"..."

"...Are we going the right way?" Ruby suddenly asked.

Weiss stopped her stride. "W-What do you mean by that? I was following you."

"I was following you!" Ruby countered. "Um… did they tell us where the ruins are?"

"No. I recall Ozpin just said it was at the end of the path." Weiss pointed out before they both looked down at their feet.

No path.

"...Way to go, Rose."

"Me!? You're older than me. You should have better navigation skills!"

"Sorry if I spent a majority of my life in a giant mansion! I at least know every single room there." Weiss scoffed. "Aren't you the one who lives on an island?"

"That doesn't mean–" Ruby began before taking a calming breath. "Weiss, we shouldn't be fighting. We promised each other this morning that we'd support each other, especially now that we're both Blake's girlfriends."

"That doesn't free you from criticism." Weiss grumbled. "...But you're right. We should be working together. We are going to be stuck together as partners for the next four years."

"Yeah."

"So we should come to a compromise."

"Yep."

"So… what's your idea?"

"You don't have any?"

"Well, my idea is that we find the nearest and tallest tree and call for help for a rescue team to save us, so any idea would be preferable."

"Hmmm…" Ruby hummed as she rubbed chin. "You know, I've heard a couple of boys back home talk about what they'd do if they ever get lost somewhere."

Weiss pinched the bridge of her nose and shook her head. She couldn't believe she was going to actually listen to this. "What did they say?"

"Well, they said they were going to find the biggest, meanest Grimm around and saddle them up, riding it all the way home."

Yep. She just wasted yet another precious couple of seconds of her life. "Ruby, not only is that monumentally harebrained, there is no way there is any Grimm that would allow us to–"

"CAAAAAAAAW!"

Oh Weiss and her big mouth.

Weiss looked up and saw a Nevermore flying above them, returning to its nest which was relatively nearby. She then looked over at Ruby, who was smiling madly. "...Ruby, no."

"Ruby, yes."

"Ruby, that has to be the most terrible idea I'm agreeing to."

"Ruby– what?" Ruby began, only to verbally trip at the fencer's response.

"We have to compromise." Weiss stated as she began making her way to the nest. "And my compromise for going through with it is I get to kill you if we die."

"We aren't going to die." Ruby stated in a confident tone. "I bet the first date with Blake on it."

Suddenly, Weiss's Aura flared like white flames, her competitive spirit ignited. "...You're on."

At the same time, Yang and Blake were following the path to the ruins. It was easy as people before them had marked several hundred trees with arrows guiding them directly to their destination. Only idiots would miss such obvious signs!

It was a pretty boring journey so far, with only the occasional Grimm encounter to keep them on their toes. Still, it gave them plenty of time to think.

"Don't look back, don't look back, don't look back, don't look back, don't look back, don't look back, don't look back, don't look back, don't look back, don't look back, don't look back…" Yang thought, ahead of Blake desperately trying not to look at the cat faunus in the eyes again.

"Stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking, stop looking…" Meanwhile, Blake mumbled to herself as she tried to tear her eyes away from Yang's ass.

No wait, her thighs.

Shins.

Back.

Hair.

And… back to the ass.

She would totally also try to tear her eyes away from Yang's front too and— why can't she stop herself from being a massive cheating perv right now!?

Ugh, maybe it was the differences between her girlfriends and her latest soulmate.

Ruby was cute and adorkable. Weiss was prim and proper.

Yang was hot.

It was more than the very curvy figure that her combat clothes seemed to be specifically designed to enhance. It was the way she held herself, the way she fought, the way she rolled her body when dodging attacks, how her eyes changed colors from a nice shade of lavender to an intense red like… like…

"Uhhh, Blake." Yang spoke.

"Huh?" Blake blinked. Dammit, did she space out again?

"You've been staring at my butt for ten minutes now."

She did. Welp, it was a nice run but all things must come to an end, such is life, and sometimes very violently.

"I-I'm so sorry, I just…" Blake tried to explain herself, make an excuse, but she just couldn't think because of the super attractive girl in front of her! Stupid uncontrollable feelings!

Yang shook her head (while doing her best not to look flattered). "Wow, not even an hour and you're already staring at other girls. What would your girlfriends think, huh?"

SHATTER!

For the second time today, Blake felt her world shatter. "What?"

Yang took a deep breath. There was plenty of time to talk about this now that they were alone (aside from the many, many cameras hidden around the forest). "I know you're dating Ruby and the princess."

"Her name is Weiss." Blake instinctively corrected before realizing what Yang just said. "And how did you… What makes you think that?"

"It was on the rooftop this morning right before the Initiation. You're a faunus. Your cat ears are in your bow." Yang simply pointed out.

"H-How?"

"I have my ways." Yang responded, not wanting to say anything more. She needed to play with her cards close to her chest if she wanted to get what she wanted from the faunus.

Blake sighed. She was caught. "Okay, Fine. I'm dating two girls, including your little sister. What do you want?" She relented with a sigh. It was probably going to be what Ruby warned her about and that it was the whole–

"So, how'd you do it?"

"Excuse me?"

"How did you get two ladies to fall for you?"

"I'm… I'm not sure to be honest."

"Oh please, it has to be something." Yang stated, frowning at the cat faunus. "It's not like a mind control Semblance or something?"

"Hey. I'm over here." Blake soon pointed out from behind the girl.

"Huh?" Yang jumped as she looked between the two Blakes before one vanished into thin air.

"No control. Shadows." Blake corrected as she walked up the blonde, leaving another behind. "Temporary copies of myself. Useful for drawing attention and evading attacks."

The brawler sputtered a bit, stunned by the new information, before regaining her footing. "You still did something!" Yang argued.

Blake let out a groan. She really wanted this conversation to end right now. "It was nothing special."

"Nothing special!? You have two girlfriends! That does not warrant anything close to nothing special."

"What do you want me to say? That I swept them off their feet as soon as I met them?" Blake called out.

"Well, something had to have happened between landing and the ceremony!" Yang responded as she stomped her foot. "Ruby never acted like that in Signal."

"Well, maybe you don't know her as well as you think."

"What did you say?"

Oh crap.

"You've known her for two days. I've known her since she was born! You don't get to say anything about me not knowing Ruby!" Yang continued. "I bet you don't even love her!"

don't even love her…

don't even love her…

don't even love her…

Yang's voice echoed throughout the forest, scaring several birds and getting the attention of Grimm and students alike.

And suffice to say… Blake snapped.

"Well maybe you would understand that Ruby isn't a little girl anymore, and that she make own decisions, and that she doesn't need you to worry about her over her relationships, and that maybe you should be happy for her that she made a real friend after you ditched HER WHEN SHE FELT MORE LONELY THAN EVER BEFORE!"

Blake froze. Yang's eyes flickered red.

Welp, she was dead.

Yang began to heave, which Blake assumed was because she was about to beat her to a pulp. No way she was going to defend herself here, she never wanted to hurt another soulmate.

"Say something, Yang. Say something! She's wrong!" Yang thought as she scrambled for a counter. "You… she didn't… she needed to make…" She then spoke as Blake slowly stepped back… into the path of a Beowolf who came in to take a swipe at her, only to get a clone instead.

Blake reappeared next to Yang, weapon at the ready while the blonde instinctively brought up her fists.

You know what, Yang was glad to be attacked by Grimm.

At the same time, back at the cliff, Glynda narrowed her eyes as she watched Blake and Yang fight one side of her Scroll and Ruby and Weiss arguing over who would be the one to climb to the nest first on the other.

"Professor Ozpin?" The teacher spoke, turning to the headmaster who was sharing her Scroll.

"Yes, Glynda?"

"Should we interfere with these students?"

"Glynda, we must follow the rules." Ozpin replied. "Unless they are truly in danger, we must not decide their fates for them."

"They look like they're going to kill each other." Glynda pointed out.

"Isn't that a basis for many long-lasting relationships?" Ozpin countered with a joking smile.

Glynda sighed. "Professor, I may not have many friends outside of work but even I know that they're ticking time bombs. Especially Miss Belladonna and her… partnerships with Miss Rose and Miss Schnee."

"...You have friends?"

Glynda's eye twitched. "I still have a social life! One that I rarely attend to, but I still have one!"

"Well, maybe it should be one where you meet up in person instead of over the CCT instead. You should really go out more often, meet new people." Ozpin recommended.

"We're training warriors, Professor." Glynda sighed while looking down at her Scroll. "My time would be best served ensuring the futures of these children."

"But what about your future, Glynda?" Ozpin questioned in a rather serious manner. This was not a question from the Headmaster of Beacon Academy, but from a friend and a confidant.

The teacher nearly let herself grimace before sighing. "...My future is fine."

Ozpin narrowed his eyes before deciding to let it be. Destiny would sort it out somehow. "Well, believe what you will. For now, let us focus on the present. Such as the present problem of nosy teachers."

"Hm?" Glynda looked lost for a moment before she turned to see her fellow teachers looking over her shoulders.

"H-Hey! We were watching that!" Professor Peach whined.

"W-What are you all doing!? Get back to work!" Glynda yelled at the nosy staff members while Ozpin looked out upon the forest.

"Blake Belladonna…" Ozpin thought, letting out an interested hum.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Bumblebee pairing.

And it was pretty boring for the most part. More walking, more ambushes, and more awkward silence.

But their minds were a little more interesting.

"Come on, Blake, you have to fix this." Blake mentally told herself, wanting to look back at the fiery blonde but not quite having the courage quite yet. "Yang's your soulmate. She's so beautiful and bright, anyone would love to be with her, and all you've done is make her hate you. This isn't about trying to save her from a fate worse than death, you're doing this because you love her. You can deal with Weiss and Ruby after. Gods, just say anything! It is better than this silence. She's probably planning your death right now!"

"Come oooooon, monsters! Dead kitties, dead puppies, dead kitties, dead puppies, dead kitties…" Yang desperately thought, hoping more Grimm would sense her negative emotions so that they would come after them and not deal with this terrible silence (wouldn't her already bad mood attract them anywa– SLAP). "...Gah! No! Stop! You're just running away like your egg donor! You've never tried to escape from anything ever since you started learning how to throw a punch. This. Isn't. You. You're Yang, the girl dives into a fight without a plan and it usually turns out fine. J-Just say anything! It's better than all this quiet."

Finally, the two steeled their resolve, stopped in their tracks, turned and looked each other in the eyes.

"...I'm sorry." Blake and Yang spoke at the same time. "What? No, let me speak first. No, actually you go first. Stop copying me. Stop copying me! Wow, this is freaking me out. Okay, you stop talking and I'll say something. Say something! No, you don't talk, I will! No! YOU! YOU DON'T TALK!"

"ROAR—"

"SHUT UP!" The partners roared as they fired their weapons without looking.

BLAM BLAM BLAM! BANG BANG BANG!

"Some people can be so rude." Yang grumbled as she chambered the next round in her gauntlet.

"I know." Blake sighed while shealthing her weapons.

"..." Yang blinked.

"..." Blake blinked back.

"...You go first." Yang soon decided.

Blake let out a breath of relief. "Look, I'm sorry for yelling at you, Yang. I'm the one getting in between you and Ruby. And I do agree she needs to come out of her shell, but she should do it at her own pace. Throw her into the deep end and you get her… well, exploding and dating a girl with another person."

"Thanks but… you're not totally wrong either." Yang soon responded. "I mean, Ruby's in Beacon for a reason. Sure, she'll need to catch up on a bunch of stuff but… I shouldn't be babying her so much on something like this. She's growing up and I-I can't protect her all the time."

"You'll be there when she needs you. Just like I'll be." Blake assured as she patted the brawler on the shoulder.

"...You really do love Ruby, don't you?" Yang realized.

"I do. So much." Blake nodded. "And… I would gladly love to know more about you."

"Me?" Yang repeated, blinking.

"I mean, I am dating your sister. If I want to know more about her, I should get to know her family." Blake stated. "We both want the same thing after all."

"...To see Ruby become a great huntress." Yang answered.

"And she can't do that alone or with us all the time." Blake continued. "We should support her growth, not stunt it with our presence. She'll become an amazing hero, we just need to make sure we have front row seats."

"...So that's how you swept her off her feet." Yang soon chuckled.

"Hm?"

"Nothing." Yang replied, hiding a grin. Looks like her little sister was in good hands. "So… have you dated before?"

"Sort of. The last guy was terrible." Blake sighed.

"Enough to make you a lesbian?"

"Don't know yet." Blake admitted before frowning. "Are you dating someone?"

"No, not at all." Yang replied while shaking her head. "Just flings, nothing serious."

"Not even a kiss?" Blake assumed.

"Unless you count my dad, nope." Yang stated. "...On the cheek." She then added after a brief panic.

"It's not too much of a surprise though. I mean, you look like you're going to party, not hunt monsters." Blake pointed out.

"It's the most comfortable and pretty stylish." Yang got out as she twirled around. "But everyone checks the chest first. Why not my hair, or my eyes? Hey, I work on my butt a lot, you know?"

"Well, I haven't looked at your boobs yet. Does that count?" Blake admitted before she could even stop herself.

"...You haven't?"

Before she could even think about what she was saying, Blake just let her heart do all the work. "Nope. Your golden hair that shines like the sun, those beautiful eyes that glisten like the purest Dust crystals, the grace and finesse of a dance, yet the raw strength of the mightiest Ursa. There's a lot I saw before my eyes went to your… ballistics."

At that last word, Blake's brain finally caught up and slapped her aside the head. "YOU FOOL! YOU'VE DOOMED US ALL!"

Blake covered her mouth and screamed. Why does she keep saying such dumb stuff and– wait, why was Yang blushing?

"N-No one's ever talked to me like that before." Yang soon confessed, unconsciously rubbing her arm. "Usually it's bad pick-up lines and desperation."

Blake swallowed. Maybe this was the opportunity she was looking for to connect with the blonde. "That's a shame. They should. There's so much about you that I could talk about."

"...Well, um… are you going to check them out now…?"

Blake stopped. "Huh?"

"S-Sorry, that's dumb. Forget about–" Yang tried to shake it off, before spotting the cat faunus taking a very good look at her twins.

"They're amazing." Blake informed. "Just like everything about you, Yang."

"...Thank you." Yang couldn't help but grin as her heart began to beat a little faster. "But… if you're gonna flirt with me like that, I'm gonna have hit back twice as hard."

"Heh. I'd like to see you try." Blake teased.

Challenge accepted.

"Ahem." Yang cleared her throat before beginning her counterattack. "Oh Miss Belladonna, your hair is as dark as a moonless night that shimmers with its own light. The way you move is like that of a dancer, as graceful as swans on a lake and yet as deadly as nightshade. Your golden eyes shimmer and glisten when you talk about your dear girlfriends, the love you have for them is so apparent that I envy them to have such a wonderful person loving them. Although dressed in black, you shine even brighter than the sun in the middle of July. Also, your booty's so fine, if I had to rank it, it would be A-S-S."

"Hgnh!" Blake grunted, clutching onto her chest. "Y-You have such a way with words, Miss Xiao Long."

"Hey, I read. You know, for assignments." Yang responded cheekily.

"Well, let me give you a few quotes from my favorite books. I tell you, there are some great lines that will make you fall in love."

"Bring it on, Kitty Kat." Yang smirked.

All the way to the temple, Yang and Blake playfully flirted with each other… until, at least to Yang, it stopped being playful.

After an hour, Yang suddenly stopped, her eyes widening. "Oh no."

"Yang?"

"I-It's nothing, Blake. Just… thought I saw something." Yang mumbled with a blush as she decided to lead the way this time.

This was bad.

She had officially fallen for Blake.

This time around, the rest of the journey to the temple was peaceful. It was a little strange, but they didn't notice it. They were too distracted with their flirting to care. Eventually, once they headed up a small hill, they spotted the ruins at the bottom.

"Think this is it?" Yang asked.

In response, Blake gave Yang an incredulous look. "No, there's actually another set of ruins with relics in it exactly like this one. Maybe we should go check that."

"Don't be so sassy with me." Yang giggled as they headed down the hill and to the ruins, looking at the items on each pedestal.

"Chess pieces?" Blake muttered, studying each of the relics.

"Some of them are missing. Looks like we weren't the first ones here." Yang stated.

"Well, I guess we should pick one."

"Hmmmm…" The brawler hummed as she studied the golden knight. Meh, that'll do. "How about a cute little pony?"

Blake smirked. So cute. "Sure."

"That wasn't too hard!" Yang breathed out in relief.

"Well, it's not like this place is very difficult to find." Blake replied as they shared a smile with each other.

Suddenly, Yang heard the voice of her father again.

"Don't make the same mistakes as I did, Yang. Once you find your special person, don't let them go."

…He totally did not expect something like this but…

She had to try, right?

"Alright, it's going to be a long trip back." Blake yawned as she looked up at the sky. They only had a few hours of daylight left and she did not want to deal with Grimm at night ag–

"Actually," Yang suddenly spoke, holding the relic behind her back. "Could we stay here, just for a little bit?"

"Tired?" Blake assumed.

"No, just… want to talk more." Yang admitted with a sheepish smile.

The cat faunus could only smile back. She quite enjoyed her partner's company, so a little more time to hang out with her was great, even if it wasn't exactly an appropriate time. "...Okay. Not too long, though." Blake replied as she sat down on the floor with Yang joining her side. "It's a nice day." She got out while looking up at the sky.

"Yeah. It is." Yang agreed, although her gaze was directed towards her lovely partner.

"It's too bad not a lot of people will enjoy a moment like this." Blake sighed sadly. "Pretty much everywhere that isn't actively defended is too dangerous to relax in."

"Mmhm."

"Maybe one day people will be able to do something like this."

"Yeah."

Blake suddenly frowned. "...But that would mean killing every single Grimm on the planet."

"Oh yeah."

"And making sure that no one brings them back."

"Uh huh."

"That means we'll need to hunt down Professor Dolphin of the Squeak-Squeak-Eeeeeee Institute."

"I agree."

"And I have a horse-sized penis. Want me to show it to you?"

"Cool." Yang said before blinking. "...Wait, what?"

Finally, Blake got her to focus on her words and not her butt. "Yang, have you been listening to me?"

Yang sputtered, blushing. "O-Of course I am. Something about… Dr. Dolphin and… crumpets?"

Blake burst out laughing, unable to keep up her facade any longer.

"Laugh it up." Yang groaned, looking quite cute when embarrassed.

"S-Seriously though, what's gotten into you? You've been staring at me this whole time. Do you have something to say?" Blake asked.

Yang's blush intensified. "...l-love…"

"Huh?"

The blonde clenched her fists.

No, she had to do this right.

Sitting up straight, she looked Blake directly in her golden eyes and uttered a phrase she thought she'd never say to anyone. "I… love you."

Blake shivered. Did she hear that right? "E-Excuse me? Y-Yang… What are you saying?"

"Blake, if we're going to be partners… We need to be honest and open with each other. So, I need to take care of this now before it becomes a serious problem." Yang said before holding her partner by the shoulders. "I love you, Blake."

ZING!

Another shock ran through the cat faunus, the world melting away until there was nothing left but Yang and herself.

"Yang… I…"

"You don't need to remind me that you're dating already." Yang interrupted, shaking her head. "I… I don't care. I'll share you with them. I'll share you with anyone else you fall in love with. Just let me be with you, no matter what."

"Yang…?" Blake whispered.

Yang closed her eyes and began to lean in.

And Blake… leaned in as well.

It felt natural to do. Like magnets slowly but surely moving towards each other. Anything else didn't matter anymore, all that matters right now… was…

Wait a minute, was she about to kiss Yang!?

Blake nearly stopped herself. She wanted to save her first kiss with her girlfriends and Yang was… wasn't one yet. She needed to talk with Ruby and Weiss first, she needed to ensure there wasn't any jealousy over it, she had to make sure that— crap crap crap, abort abort abort, BAIL OUT BEFORE-

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Blake and Yang froze, their lips so close to touch that if the ground shook a little, they'd connect. However, it was not to be as they backed away (much to Blake's relief).

"Some girl's in trouble!" Yang realized as she stood up instinctively. She then grimaced as she turned to see Blake stand up, looking a little confused. "U-Um, rain check?"

"Hold on, I hear something–" Blake began before she looked up. Then, her eyes shrank in horror. "RUBY!" She screamed.

"Ruby!?" Yang repeated before following Blake's

"Heeeeeeead's uuuuuuuupppppp!"

Almost instantly, Blake and Yang leapt to the red cloaked girl's aid… until some idiot flew into her mid-air, knocking her off course and towards a tree… until Blake managed to catch her before she got herself hurt on anything.

"Oohhhh... What was that?" Ruby groaned before shaking off the Beowolves circling around her head. "B-Blake?"

"Ruby, thank the Brothers!" Blake exclaimed as she hugged her girlfriend as tight as she could. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Where's Weiss?" She then asked in a frantic manner, her hands already cleaning up any dirt and blemishes on Ruby.

"I'm fine, I'm fine. B-But pet me more…" Ruby assured before snuggling her cheek into Blake's soft hands. She then paused. "Wait, you know Weiss is my partner!?"

"Everyone in the forest could hear your cries of anguish." Blake pointed out. "I sort of assumed."

"Oh." Ruby blushed. "Thanks for catching me."

"Hey, I am your girlfriend." Blake responded with a sweet smile.

CHU!

Blake gasped as she felt Ruby kiss her on the cheek.

"My hero." Ruby added as she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend's neck.

"R-Ruby…"

Yang shifted awkwardly, looking away from the very romantic moment between Blake and her sister. "...Right. She… already has a great girlfriend…"

"Uhhh… a little help?" The blonde boy that Yang remembered puked on her shoes yesterday sheepishly asked, hanging upside-down on a tree branch.

"I…"

Several other things happened after that, all in quick succession, such as a crazy girl riding an Ursa into the scene with her partner, then proceeding to claim herself as "queen of the castle", then Pyrrha Nikos, the four-time Mistral champion and Pumpkin Pete mascot (wow, she was here?) ran in with a Death Stalker chasing after her.

One second.

Yang only needed one more second and… and… well, she wouldn't feel so mad right now!

FWOOOOOSH!

Everyone stopped and stared at Yang as she erupted in a small burst of fire, eyes flashing red. "I can't take it anymore! Can everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?!" She growled.

Everyone could hear the sound of a clock ticking for about two seconds as the blonde brawler calmed down.

"Ruby, where's Weiss?" Blake asked as she set her girlfriend down.

The red cloaked girl checked the area, swallowed nervously, and pointed upwards.

Despite fearing the worst, Blake looked up again. "...You were riding a Nevermore!?"

"It seemed like a good idea at the time." Ruby mumbled shyly.

"How could you leave me?!" Weiss shouted from the Nevermore talon she was hanging off on.

"I said jump!" Ruby called back.

"She's gonna fall!" Blake exclaimed.

"S-She'll be fine." Ruby nervously assured.

"She's falling." The boy in green, Ren, informed as they watched the heiress let go.

"NO!" Blake cried out, her body already moving to act.

Meanwhile, the blond guy, Jaune, finally managed to get out of the tree and looked at where everyone was staring at: A literal angel falling from the sky!

Without even thinking, he dived to catch the heiress in mid-air… but unfortunately, her girlfriend caught her first.

THUD!

"Oomph!" Jaune grunted while faceplanting on the ground, feeling more like a loser than ever before. "U-Uugh… I'm okay… ow…"

"Rrgh, that insufferable little red-!" Weiss began to complain before realizing whose arms she was in. "B-Blake, my darling!" She then got out as she wrapped her arms around her girlfriend.

"There, there. It's okay now." Blake whispered while patting the heiress on the back while she pecked the cat faunus with kisses.

While everyone was staring at the loving scene (while Pyrrha dived into the temple), Yang could only feel worse and worse the longer it went on. "You were about to kiss a taken girl. You were about to kiss your little sister's girlfriend. You were about to become just like your egg donor." She could only think, falling deeper and deeper into desp-

"YANG!" Ruby exclaimed, watching the Death Stalker aiming its stinger at the distracted blonde while Weiss used her Ice Dust to try and stop the giant scorpion. Although she managed to freeze it in place, the stinger was still about to pierce Yang!

"Huh?"

STAB!

Yang's eyes widened as she found herself pushed away by her partner, who took the stinger to her abdomen.

"BLAKE!" Ruby and Weiss screamed in horror, watching as their girlfriend hit the ground lifelessly.

And then… Blake's body vanished.

"What?" Yang gasped before feeling someone use her shoulder as support.

"You… need to… pay attention more…" Blake panted, her body aching from all the saving of her soulmates. She was not built for this…

"Blllllaaaaaakkkkkeeeee…!"

"Wh-Whoa!" Blake yelped as Ruby and Weiss jumped onto her, forcing her off Yang and onto the ground.

THUD!

"Hahdfpjsaiohiueahashaawhiwsavedontbeaherojkawdnhdahbuilaabdksabkasjasbjhawaaaahhhhh!" Ruby cried, her incoherent blubbering and sobbing causing Blake's heart to throb with adorableness and guilt..

"Buffoon! Imbcile! Fool! Halfwit! Nincompoop! Dunce! Dolt! Ignoramus! Dummy… dumb, dum-dum!" Weiss yelled, wiping her tears on Blake's clothing while she clutched onto her top.

"I-I'm sorry…" Blake apologized.

"Just… warn us before you get yourself killed!" Weiss called out.

"And don't!" Ruby added.

Blake nodded while rubbing their backs. "I promise."

"Erm…"

"A-Ah…" Ruby squeaked as she and Weiss climbed off Blake. "It's… not what it looked like?" She nervous said.

"How, in any way, can that be misunderstood." Ren deadpanned.

"Are you, like, together-together with her, orrrr…" The hyperactive girl, Nora, asked in a curious manner.

"W-Well, we're not-" Weiss tried to explain, however…

"...Both." Blake interrupted.

"Both!?" Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, and Ren repeated in disbelief.

"Both." Blake responded as she pulled both Ruby and Weiss into her embrace.

"Blake, what about keeping it a secret?" Weiss whispered, looking quite scared.

"...I don't care." Blake said while shaking her head. "If I can't show my love to my soulmates, what's the point of loving you?"

"Y-You consider us soulmates?" Ruby squeaked.

"You are my soulmates." Blake replied without hesitation.

"Hngh!" Ruby and Weiss grunted, their hearts throbbing with love.

Again, Yang could only watch as her partner enjoyed the company of her real girlfriends, not her. "...I never had a chance…"

CRACK!

"Oh, right. Grimm." Yang muttered, backing away as the Death Stalker began to break free from its icy entrapment.

"Guys? That thing's circling back! What are we gonna do?" Jaune exclaimed, fearfully looking up at the Nevermore.

"Look, there's no sense in dilly-dallying. Our objective is right in front of us." Weiss stated as everyone looked over at the relics.

Ruby nodded, agreeing with her partner. "She's right. Our mission is to grab an artifact and make it back to the cliffs. There's no point in fighting these things."

"Run and live - that's an idea I can get behind!" Jaune breathed out in relief as he and Ruby went to get their objectives. Ruby made sure to grab the other golden knight piece like the one Yang had put on her belt.

"That Nevermore won't be easy to shake though." Blake however stated. "We might need to take it down."

Weiss frowned before she snapped her fingers. She had spotted this while riding the stupid giant bird because of Ruby's stupid giant plan. "We're at a disadvantage here. Too much space for the Nevermore to skewer us. There are some more ruins that way. If we can get there, we might be able to use those structures to kill it."

Blake's eyes widened. "Will that work?"

"Better than waiting for rescue or death." Weiss replied. "Also, we are never doing another plan from Ruby. Ever."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"I love you three!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Save it for when we're not about to die!" Yang snapped as she started running.

"R-Right." Blake nodded, the three girlfriends blushing before the dumb bird's feathers began to skewer the ground around them, forcing the lovers to flee together.

Enough flirting, time to get to work and kill some Grimm.

They could flirt later.

The test was done.

They had successfully retrieved the relic from the ruins and escaped the forest alive.

It was an intense fight. Blake worked together with her partner and her girlfriends to take down the Nevermore. Sure, it was touch-and-go for a couple of moments but it was… surprising how well they worked with each other. Like they were fated to be together.

Ruby slaying the Nevermore with their combined teamwork was a sight to behold. Both Yang and Blake couldn't help but look on proudly as hundreds of rose petals scattered from the top of the cliff, while Weiss rested on her girlfriend's shoulder.

"...We… really are soulmates." Blake muttered as she began putting on a fresh set of clothes.

Because of that whole encounter with the giant Grimm, they were one of the last students to arrive back at the cliff. So, the locker rooms were theirs until the ceremony to mark their official entry into Beacon. Pyrrha and Nora had fast showers had left earlier, leaving Blake alone with her girlfriends.

And Yang.

Blake groaned as she covered her face, banging her head against the inside of her locker. "I'm. So. Stupid. Idiot. Cheater. Perv." She mumbled with each hit to the head.

As much as she really loved Yang, she didn't want to date her until she got permission from her first two girlfriends beforehand. She had been planning that ever since the God of Love told her about what would happen to her lost soulmates. But at the temple, with the air so crisp and romantic, she… she nearly gave her first kiss away to her.

She hadn't even responded to her feelings and now she's probably thinking she's some homewrecker!

It was all her fault it ended up like this, unsure how to face her partner yet.

Maybe she should start by putting on her shorts.

With a sigh, she quickly finished changing into a fresh combat outfit, but still kept her head in the locker. "Okay, first talk to Ruby and Weiss, beg for forgiveness, then talk to Yang and… ugh… why am I doing this to myself." Blake mumbled before banging her head again.

"Um… you should really not do that."

"AH!" Blake yelped before, yet again, banging her head. At least it was on the shelf and not the back, which was beginning to dent a little. "Ow! Y-Yang?" She whimpered, turning around while holding her sore head.

"Hey." Yang agreed, thankfully fully dressed. Gone was any of her exuberance that she looked, replaced with… shyness and a sense of uncertainty.

"Hey…" Blake sighed while shutting her locker behind her.

"So… looks like we're going to be in a team with… your girlfriends." Yang said.

"Yep." Wasn't official yet, but the prospect of that happening was pretty much guaranteed. All they needed to know at the ceremony was who was leading the team.

"Must be great."

"It is."

A familiar awkward silence overcame them.

Yang then swallowed. "Look, I…"

"Blake, stop banging your head on your locker and-" Weiss spoke as she and Ruby made their way over, only to spot the blonde. "Ah. You."

"Me." Yang replied with a small, joking smile.

"Yang." Ruby breathed out. "What were you guys talking about?"

The brawler hesitated to speak at first, but… she knew she had to deal with it eventually, why not now? "Actually, I just wanted to apologize."

"Apologize?" Ruby and Weiss got out in confusion.

"...For trying to steal Blake away from the both of you."

Yang and Blake grimaced as they saw Weiss and Ruby's hearts shatter within their eyes. "...Wh-What do you mean?"

"I-It's my-"

"Blake. Let me." Yang interrupted, before her love did anything stupid. "I know. I know about… everything. And despite all that… I… I'm in love with Blake too." She soon confessed, a hand over her heart.

"You're what!?" Weiss exclaimed in shock.

"Yang!?" Ruby choked out.

Yang closed her eyes, unable to bear looking at the two. "I… I don't know how but… when our eyes met, and when… we talked… I… I couldn't help myself. I'm so sorry. I'll ask the teachers if I can swap with someone to another team and get a different partner."

Finally, Blake managed to get a word in. "Yang, why?"

"Because you're totally in love with Ruby and Weiss!" Yang snapped, tears welling up in her eyes. "I… I can't barge my way in between that. I'll… I'll just be a fourth wheel. I'm sorry for trying to ruin a beautiful relationship. Ruby, I'm so sorry for being a terrible sister."

"Yang, no. Don't–" Ruby spoke, reaching out to her sister just as she turned to leave…

"STOP!" Blake yelled out, her voice echoing around the locker room.

"Huh?" Yang got out.

"I won't let you make a mistake like this." Blake declared as she spun the blonde around.

"I… I just tried to kiss you earlier!"

"You did." Blake replied before letting out a guilty smile. "And… I would've accepted it."

"Excuse me!?" Weiss got out with widened eyes.

"You can't choose who you fall in love with." Blake continued. "All these feelings we have… sometimes you can't control it, you can't hold yourself back from doing something stupid, but… there are times when acting on it is the best decision you can make. If you don't act on it… it's too late. Following your heart might lead you astray, but it's better than knowing you're going nowhere."

"Blake…" Yang whispered.

"Let me give it to you straight. You are one of the most passionate, nicest, and loveliest people I have the pleasure of knowing." Blake said before holding both of the brawler's nice and firm hands. "Yang, I love you. Will you go out with me?"

Yang sobbed, tears running down her cheeks. "...Y-Yes. I will." She answered before wrapping her arms around her-

"WHAAAAAAAAT!?" Weiss bellowed, stupefied by just… just… dear freaking Brothers, did she take an airship to Crazy Town!? "We just… we only just…" She then began heaving to the point of choking on air.

"Breathe, Weiss, breathe!" Ruby exclaimed..

"Are you kidding me!?" Weiss finally managed to articulate her anger. "We've only been dating for less than a day and you already got yourself another girlfriend!?"

"I mean, she's only known us for two…" Ruby quietly pointed out.

"W-Weiss, please…" Blake tried to calm the heiress down, but that was not freaking happening.

"Did your brain rot away?! Did. Your. Brain. Rot. Away?!" Weiss groaned loudly, stomping around trying to comprehend what was happening and contemplating the choices in her life. "And out of all people, Ruby's actual freaking sister!? SISTER! What is wrong with you!? Do you just fall in love at first sight with anyone!?"

Blake didn't know how to answer that without Weiss deciding to punch her in the throat.

"Weiss, please, let me explain myself." Blake soon said. "I'm not going to love either you or Ruby any less. In fact, I'm going to try and love you even more now that Yang is involved!"

"That doesn't even make sense!" Weiss called out. "Blake, it took a lot for us to be in a relationship like this in the first place! You can't just do this all of a sudden!"

"Can I speak?" Yang suddenly asked as she raised her hand. "I don't really have any issues with sharing with Ruby and you, you know."

"...You're joking."

"Not at all." Yang shook her head as she put an arm around her new girlfriend. "I've had a lot of time to really process it and I realized… life's too short to worry about it. Blake makes me happy, so I'm gonna do my best to be with her. As long as no one is being hurt by this, who cares if she's dating other people. Heck, I bet she'll make a lot of other people happy too."

"ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE IS YOUR SISTER! MAYBE NOT FULL-BLOODED, BUT YOU STILL CAME OUT OF THE SAME… re-REPRODUCTIVE ORGAN!" Weiss yelled out. "Ruby, as the second girlfriend of Blake–"

Ruby sniffled.

"R-Ruby?" Oh Gods, it broke Weiss's heart seeing the younger girl so–

"It's so beautiful!"

"Huwah?"

"It's really amazing that Yang and I are dating the same person, you know! I mean, not only do we get to share our feelings, but it also brings us even closer together as sisters. It's like we're all on this amazing adventure together, and I couldn't be happier about it! Plus, having someone we both care about makes everything feel even more special! Go team, right?" Ruby cried out while wiping the tears out of her eyes.

The gears in Weiss' head grinded as she tried to process what her fellow girlfriend just said. "You're on board with this!?" She then called out in disbelief.

Ruby blinked. "...Why wouldn't I be?"

Weiss could only cover her face. It seems sanity has decided to take a day off (not knowing it was quietly quitting its job). "...I'm surrounded by degenerates."

"But I'm your degenerate, Weiss." Blake said as she gave the white clad girl a caring smile.

"Hngh!" Weiss' heart throbbed. "...Why do you have to pull that card? I can't refuse that look."

"Well, let's make this a little more… formal." Blake declared as she went to Yang's side. "Ruby, Weiss. Due to how things panned out, would you mind accepting Yang Xiao Long as my girlfriend?"

"Yes!" Ruby exclaimed with a fist pump.

"...F-Fine." Weiss hesitantly agreed. "But you're taking us all out on a date the first chance we get."

"I was already planning to." Blake confirmed.

"Oh, wait, I want a solo date!" Ruby suddenly spoke. "I bet on living and we did!"

"T-That was not a serious bet, Ruby." Weiss stammered out.

"Don't Schnee's always repay their debts?"

"Not unless it's tax evasion." Weiss responded automatically before letting out a sigh. "...Grrr… fine. But I want a solo date afterwards."

"I'm going to need to schedule all this." The cat faunus mumbled before turning to her third ever girlfriend. "Yang?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, definitely after Rubes and Ice Queen." Yang soon got out.

"Why does everyone call me that!?" Weiss groaned in an indignant manner.

"So… should we go out on dates with each other too?" Yang spoon suggested. "I mean, this is a polycule."

"Polycule?" Weiss repeated before looking at the red cloaked girl, who was nearly caught picking her nose. "N-No, I don't like Ruby like that. Too childish for my tastes."

"I'll definitely hang out with you, Yang. But Weiss can be a little too uppity for me." Ruby added.

"I'm surprised you even know what polycule means."

"I know a lot more big words, Weiss. Like supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"

"Saying it loud enough does not make you sound precocious!"

"What's that?"

"How about defenestrate? Because I feel like doing that to you now after the whole Nevermore thing."

"...Is that a spa treatment?"

Weiss sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. This was her partner for the next four years. "...Yes."

"Yes! First spa day!" Ruby cheered.

"You're incorrigible." The heiress deadpanned.

"And you're great too, Weiss!" Ruby happily exclaimed as she wrapped her arms around her partner.

"Ah! Don't hug me! Only Blake can do that!" Weiss yelped, flailing her arms around when the little red gremlin didn't let go.

"They're already fighting like an old married couple…" Yang chuckled out, enjoying the sight of her affectionate sister and the uncomfortable heiress.

"Don't say that." Blake glowered. "That phrase… It disgusts me. It just assumes that all couples who have been together for a long time end up hating each other eventually. I don't want that. If we're going to stay together, I'd rather that we get along as best as we can!"

"Oooh, seeing this feisty side of you is pretty sexy~" Yang complimented before blinking. "Wow, it feels good to say that out loud now."

"I'm glad you do."

"So… are you planning for anyone else to join this harem?" Yang soon asked.

Blake gulped. Well, honesty was the best policy in relationships. "Um, ye-"

"Harem? This isn't a harem!" Weiss suddenly called out. "And she's not getting any more!"

"Well, what do you call this?" Yang questioned, hands on her hips.

"Polygamy." Weiss answered.

"It's easier to say harem." Yang claimed with a shrug.

"It doesn't matter what we call each other." Ruby spoke up. "We're going to be more than just a team! We're going to be a family!"

"Please don't mention family…" Weiss groaned. The fact that Ruby was totally okay with dating the same person as her sister was already causing her to develop a migraine… and be a little paranoid about her own family members.

It was ridiculous though. What are the chances of Winter or Whitley getting involved in this insanity?

"Group hug!" Ruby then declared as she wrapped her arms around her newfound friend, her sister, and girlfriend.

"What did I say about hugging!?" Weiss exclaimed.

"I'm not a good listener." Ruby giggled.

"Ulp!" Weiss suddenly yelped. "Hey, whose hand is that!?" She called out as she moved her butt away from a grabbing hand.

"Sorry, I thought that was Blake's." Yang apologized sheepishly as she pulled her hand away.

"Do that again, and you'll lose that arm." The heiress threatened. "Ugh, if your entire family is like this, I'm going to scream." Weiss mumbled while shaking her head.

"Hey, what's so bad about expressing my love for my girlfriend?" Yang giggled.

"I'd rather you express your love in private." Weiss requested in a curt manner.

"...That could happen." Yang responded with a seductive growl.

"Please don't." Ruby whimpered.

The newly-formed group of soulmates laughed. Looks like they were in it for the long haul for the next four years, and it was shaping up to be an amazing ride.

They wouldn't trade it for the world.

"So, how're we telling dad about this?" Yang suddenly asked her little sister.

Ruby's pupils shrank. "...Oh poop."

The Initiation was a success. All the students made it back with minor injuries (although, one poor student will never have children again) and none of the relics were lost, so determining teams and room assignment was easy this year. Still a lot of work as telekinesis can only do so much, but it was easier than the year before when Ozpin decided the relics were limited edition Grimmy Tim plushies.

She had never seen how quickly things devolved into madness.

Looking at all the teams to be announced on her Scroll, Glynda's eyes fell upon the most… unique team to be formed.

Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao Long.

The team that has been unofficially referred to by the staff as the Harem Huntresses.

To Glynda, though, all she could see was a train slowly but surely crashing into the cliffside. It was horrible to watch but you couldn't look away.

"Ozpin, are you sure this is a good idea?" Glynda questioned in a serious manner. While inter-team relationships did happen all the time, she found that it all tended to implode eventually. Good hunters die, lives get ruined, and rarely does it ever end happily ever after.

Look at Team STRQ. There was at least a 25% chance Qrow is Ruby's real father and not tall, blonde, and himbo.

"You need to trust the process, Miss Goodwitch." Ozpin answered in an easygoing manner."There is potential in team dynamics such as this."

"They've known each other for two days at most and they're probably making out right now." Glynda groaned.

"I know." Ozpin acknowledged. "Although victory may lie in simple souls, lasting peace may come from those with the biggest of hearts."

"...You know, for one day, can you not be cryptic and just tell me what you're thinking outright? I've been dealing with this sort of speech for years and I think I understand less than before." Glynda grumbled under her breath.

"Just let me handle it."

Glynda simply rolled her eyes. He would have no one to blame but himself if they ever got caught playing Hide the Finger while in class.

She did not want to deal with that a sixth time…

Now let's skip over all the other team introductions to get to the group of lovers because that was about to become a major shi—

"And finally: Blake Belladonna. Ruby Rose. Weiss Schnee. Yang Xiao Long." Ozpin announced as the girls headed up on stage. "The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team RWBY. Led by... Ruby Rose!"

"Huh!?" Weiss got out.

"What?" Ruby got out before she was hugged by both Yang and Blake.

Yeah, he was expecting that. To be honest, Ozpin wanted Blake to be the leader, but he couldn't think of a good word that started with B and used R, W, and Y or justify it without breaking tradition.

He'd figure it out eventually, and slam his head onto his desk when he did, but right now he was going with Team RWBY.

Besides, together they had the potential to change the world. He would need to nurture it first and Beacon this year would be the perfect place to do that.

He might have the winning move.

"I'm so proud of you, Ruby." Blake said, giving the red cloaked girl a happy smile.

Yang pouted. "Hey, I was gonna say that."

Blake smirked as she got close to her leader. "Well, were you going to do this?"

CHU!

Ruby's face instantly turned the same shade as her cloak as soon as her girlfriend kissed her cheek (to resounding gasps from the audience). "B-B-B-B-Blake!"

"What? I'm just kissing my girlfriend." Blake got out with a smile.

"Hey, I want one!" Yang complained. She had to make up for being the third person to join this harem!

"I'm the first girlfriend! I have priority!" Weiss yelled.

"Um, I'm the leader! And I say I get a second kiss!" Ruby declared.

"Wait, guys, can you be– AH!" Blake screamed as her girlfriends jumped on her, causing her to fall to the floor.

THUD!

"This is going to be a long year…" Glynda sighed while pinching the bridge of her nose while Ozpin simply took a sip of his hot chocolate, watching as Blake did her best to give each of her soulmates kisses on the cheek, all while several students pulled out their Scrolls to document the entire thing.

A simple soul to lead them all… and a big heart to keep them all together.

And so, Team RWBY is born and has shown the world the extent of their love. However, it's still early days for Blake's harem life and there's still so many soulmates to meet in this school. They might not even be in Beacon Academy, they could be anywhere in the world, waiting for her to come… or they'll come to her instead.

Or maybe… she has already met them and fate was going to bring them together once again.

Adam abhorred social media.

Useful as it may to recruit new members to the White Fang, he did everything in his power to avoid it. It was vain and pointless, filled with nothing but lies and disgusting assumptions about the faunus race.

And strangely, a peculiar obsession with cats and dogs.

It was a cesspit for humans to share their false tales and gather sycophants with empty words. Many faunus could use their influence over the masses to ignite a revolution, change the world, and pay back all the pain done to their people.

And yet, all they wanted was a paycheck and fleeting fame.

What a waste.

So, he did his best to avoid social media when he could. He had standards, not unlike Ilia who seemed to be looking at her Scroll all night. He was better than the philistines that endlessly consumed products for more and more. He wanted much more than such useless things. He wanted change. He wanted revenge.

He wanted Blake.

Which is why he didn't know the reason for Ilia shaking in rage, her skin turning red, and her hair, eyes and skin spots turning yellow. He didn't care. It was probably about another racist post or something. They'd all die soon enough.

Although, if he knew what Ilia was actually reading…
