Enter the Survival Horror Chapter 2

Billy makes his way back to the dining car, just before he heads through the door that had the service lift, he hears something. It was above him, 'What the? I don't think that's the girls. I better get rid of whatever is there.' he heads up the stairs.

When he reaches the dining car, he finds two zombies wandering about, on fire. He quickly gets rid of them with his handgun. Then he hears a voice, "Billy?! What's going on out there?!" it was Rebecca.

"Found a couple of zombies, they must've woken up after I left. Anyways, I'm heading down to the service lift. Found an ice pick." he said.

"Yeah, that will be able to fit." she said.

Billy heads to the dining cart, goes over to the lift, places the ice pick on it and sends it up to them. 'I'll wait here.' Billy decides to stay put.

When the lift opens to reveal the ice pick, Rebecca takes it and uses it to unjam the door. After a couple of minutes, the door was useable. "Let's get going Bec." Rebecca said, throwing away the ice pick.

Bec was lost in her thoughts, Rebecca gently touches her shoulder, causing her to jolt. "Are you sure your all right?" she asks her.

"Yeah, sorry that I wasn't paying attention." Bec said, hiding her real feelings.

She and Rebecca head downstairs to the dining car, reuniting with Billy. "Thank you, Billy." Bec thanks him.

"..Thank you for helping." Rebecca said.

"Your welcome, by the way, I came a across a different kind of monster. It was a scorpion and I mean, it was as huge as this car." Billy tells them about his encounter with the scorpion.

"I see, were going to have to be more careful." Bec said. She was glad she didn't have to face the Stinger monster, but knew that she would have to face a boss, sooner or later.

"Agreed, Billy did you find anything else?" Rebecca asks him.

"Yeah, I found this herb and.." Billy tells them what he had found. Rebecca takes the herb, makes it into powder, but put's it in the bag Bec has. The red herb, for reasons unknown, can't work by itself.

"I see we have some things to go back for, but that can wait for now. We should head to the fright car, there should be something there." Bec said.

"Yeah, here, I'll take care of the panel." Billy said going over to it and using the tool.

"Good thing your hair is out of the way, Bec." he said, as he messes with the panel.

Once her hair was drenched, Bec decided to put her hair in an updo. With Rebecca's help, they put her hair in a bun on the top of her head.

"Yeah." Bec said.

Once Billy gets the panel open, they head into the crawl space, Billy leads with Rebecca and Bec following him.

Billy peeks his head out once he reaches the other side and sees mutated dogs, in cages. He whispers this to the girls and they slowly get out of the crawl space, hoping that the dogs stay where they are.

Bec knew better, no sooner than she climbs out, the dogs bust down their cage doors. They all shoot at them, until they die.

They look around, Billy grabs the shotgun shells. "Hey, check this out." Bec said, she 'found' the gold ring in one of the kennels.

"That looks like it can fit into that bag I saw, back the conductor's office." Billy said, remembering the bag.

"Then the other key, must be like this. Let's remember to keep an eye out." Rebecca said.

Moving to the last door, that the map said was the rear carriage, they find themselves outside. "Hey, this is a hook shot! This can be useful." Billy said, upon seeing it.

"Yeah.. but it looks like we need to do something in order to get it." Rebecca said. They see it is stuck on a mount and Billy can't get it to move.

"Maybe this ought to help?" Bec asks, from behind them. They turn to see her at a lever, she pulls it down and they hear something move. Looking back at the hook shot, they see it can be grabbed now.

Billy takes it and Bec let's the lever go. "Say Bec, how did you know that the lever over there, would free the hook shot?" Billy asks turning to face her.

"The wires." Bec answers, pointing at their feet. Sure enough, Billy and Rebecca see that the wires connect the lever to the mount.

'Of course, I know about this from the game.' Bec thinks.

"Ok. let's get out of the rain." Rebecca said and they head back into the fright car.

They shake off some rain water as Bec asks, "Please tell me, one of you knows how to use it?"

"I do. Used one, back when I was in the marines." Billy said.

Bec then takes out the map, Billy gave it to her earlier, "The only room that sounds like it has not been searched is cabin 102." she said.

"Sounds right, but we shouldn't waste ammo on eggs." Billy said.

"Wait, there was an open window in the second passenger car. It might be our only option, the last key hopefully is in that cabin." Rebecca said.

'Of course, it is.' Bec thinks putting away the map. "Let's get going then." Bec said. She was glad Rebecca remembered that detail, she knows that if she says too much Rebecca and Billy would realize something more off about her.

As they head back into the dining car, a zombie bursts out from the fridge, startling all three of them. Billy takes it down with a couple of head shots.

"Oh!" Bec said in surprise, putting a hand to her beating heart. She let it slip her mind about the zombie in the fridge.

"You two ok?" Billy asks.

"Yeah." Bec said, she was not fine.

They move on to the first passenger car and take out the two zombies that get up. Then they arrive at the second passenger car, but something happens, two zombies get up and head their way.

"Shit!" Bec said. They open fire on them until they are no longer a threat.

Bec was confused, 'This doesn't make sense. They're suppose to get up when you try and pass this way, but this time, they got up before we moved that way.'

'Wait, I'm forgetting I'm not an actual character here. With my presence, there should be some little change in this place.' Bec remembers the multiverse theory and how somethings can be different from the story.

"Hey Bec, wake up! Billy is getting ready." Rebecca tells her, snapping out of her thoughts.

Billy sees the ladder as he peeks his head out. He readies the hook shot and shoots it up, it hooks on the ladder. He then tugs it and discovers a problem.

"I hate to say it but my aim was off. It's not high enough, if I go out there, I'll most likely fall." he tells them.

"Then I'll-"Bec tries to say.

"No, I'll take care of it." Rebecca said.

"Are you sure?" Billy asked.

"Yes." she said.

"It would be no trouble, if I did it." Bec tells her.

"I understand you took survival classes, but your a civilian, safety is a priority. I'll radio if there's trouble." Rebecca said.

As Rebecca gets to the window she turns to Billy, "I'm trusting you to keep Bec safe." she said to him.

"I swear, I won't leave her alone." Billy promises.

Rebecca gets out the window and climbs up the rope, eventually reaching the top and kicking off the hook from where it is. She puts her arm in front of her, to protect her against the wind and slowly goes over to where the window to cabin 102 is.

As she gets closer, she sees a hole leading right into the cabin. She hops in and sees a zombie in front of her, she shoots it until it was no longer a threat. She checks the cabin, finds a knife and going through the closet, finds a ring box.

She opens it and finds a silver ring, 'Good, this should be what we need.' Rebecca is relived that they are getting somewhere.

She can't go back the way she came in, so she gently opens the door and the eggs hatch. Leeches start coming out from everywhere and Rebecca shuts the door to keep them out.

She radios Billy, "I'm in a little jam, the eggs have hatched." she tells him.

"Do you want us to come upstairs?" he asks. He had already put the hook shot back together.

"No, I think they'll spread out soon enough. I think it may be best that you take Bec and get back to the conductor's office. I'll join you in a few minutes." Rebecca said.

"Ok." Billy said, before putting away his radio.

He looks at Bec, "You heard her, let's go." he said.

They head to the office, grabbing the briefcase and inserting the gold ring. After a few minutes Rebecca shows up, "Here is the other ring." she said, holding it up.

Once it was placed on the briefcase, it unlocks and the card, needed to get to the engine car, was inside.

"Ok. We can now get to the cab." Bec said taking it.

"Yes, but let me take care of these herbs." Rebecca said, grabbing them and makes medicine with them. They put everything in the back pack that they don't need right now, and leave for the engine car.

Bec slides the card through the reader and it unlocks, but just as they get ready to open it, Bec shrinks back. "What's wrong?" Billy asks.

"There is someone out there." Bec said, looking through the window. Rebecca and Billy do the same and see that there is someone out on the carriage.

"I should go out there and talk to him." Rebecca said, about ready to grab the door, but Billy and Bec stop her.

"Bad idea, doll. We don't know if he's alone. If he is, somehow I doubt he'll listen to you." Billy said.

"I agree with Billy, something about that guy feels off." Bec says. 'The USS will kill us if they find out we are on this train.' Bec already knows how it will go, she read enough Resident Evil lore to know that.

"Then what should we do? We can't stay here." Rebecca said with a frown.

As they were discussing on what to do, the man on the carriage, takes out a radio. "This is Delta team. This is Delta team. We have taken control of the train. Over." he said to the leader of the mission, Albert Wesker.

"Understood." Wesker said into a mic.

He and William Birkin, were in the old training facility that Umbrella once operated. They had worked here many years ago, with Dr James Marcus. He had been one of three founders of Umbrella, until he died ten years ago.

"This does not make any sense." Birkin said to Wesker.

They look at each other, "How did the t-virus leak? And why did it contaminate both the lab at the mansion as well as a train almost three miles away?" Birkin said, unnerved by the situation.

Wesker covers the mic so he could speak to him, "That's irrelevant now. Our job is to make sure that this doesn't get out. The train must be destroyed. Completely." he tells him.

This seems to pacify Birkin into silence, thus Wesker removes his hand from the mic and speaks into it again. "How far are you from the nearest branch line?" he asks the solider.

The solider says, "In ten minutes- huh?!" he becomes surprised by the leeches that come unto the carriage and they crawl up him. He screams into the radio as the leeches start eating him.

He tries shooting at them, with no success. His partner comes out of the cab, attracted by the noise and the leeches climb on him too. The both scream in pain and terror.

"What's happened?!" Wesker demands, but no one gives a reply.

The soldiers are dead after a moment and the leeches leave their bodies as they leave for somewhere else.

Bec, Rebecca and Billy had only seen part of the action, but they knew that the soldier was dead.

"It's risky, but hopefully those leeches are gone, so we can get into the cab." Billy said.

"Yeah." Bec said, she feels sorry for the soldiers, while they weren't good men, she wished they didn't have to die like that.

They get unto the engine carriage, as they explore they find another body of a soldier. Billy checks them over as Rebecca and Bec check the engine chamber.

"Great." Rebecca starts to say as she looks at it, "It's completely broken. We have no way of fixing it."

"Think the leeches did this?" Bec asked, finding machine gun ammo and puts it away.

"Most likely. If these guys wanted the train to run, they would need it intact." Rebecca said.

"I can't find anything on these guys. I think their a mercenary group." Billy said, standing.

"Ok, so there's an unknown party here, aside from that guy we saw from the restaurant car." Rebecca said.

"...Say.. I think we should shoot these guys." Bec said, causing the two to become confused.

"Why? They're dead." Billy said.

"I know.. but what if they come back as zombies? There has been a lot of that on this train." Bec said.

Billy and Rebecca think for a moment. "We can't be sure if the zombies roaming here are because of the leeches. I remember that paper we found earlier, but the virus it talked about could be something else." Rebecca said.

"Ok.." Bec said, she knows that in the next moment, they will change their minds.

"Let's move on." Billy said. They finally enter the cab, and see that the train was picking up more speed.

They check over the controls, "The train is still picking up speed! If this keeps up, the train will derail or crash!" Billy said alarmed.

"We gotta stop it!" Bec said.

Bec looks around and find the operator's manual and card. "Hey! This can help!" she tells them.

They look it over, "Ok, I'll stay here. I'll work the brake." Billy said.

"Ok, Bec you'll-" Rebecca tries to say, but Bec stops her.

"I'll be going with you." she said as she grabs the ammo in the cab.

"No, Bec-" Rebecca ties to speak, but is interrupted again.

"Rebecca, this situation that we're in, the zombies roaming? Other monsters? I think it's crazy that you should go by yourself! I can still help!" Bec said determined.

'Rebecca will encounter zombies, as well as Edward, as she applies the brakes. She will need help.' Bec sees that this can be different with Rebecca actually getting back up, for Billy has to stay here.

".. Ok, but your staying behind me. It's my job to protect you." Rebecca said reluctantly.

"Get going, stay safe and hurry. We have like five, maybe six minutes, before the train is completely out of control." Billy said.

The girls leave the cab but the soldiers start arising from the dead. "Shit! Run!" Rebecca shouts. They were able to get into the officer's car before they get up.

They head down the car when they see that Edward was no longer where they last left him. "W-what?!" Rebecca said, shocked.

A lone zombie comes around the corner and Bec shoots at it, Rebecca comes out of her daze at the sound of gunfire. The zombie goes down after Bec shoots it in the head, missing once.

"If.. If Edward isn't here, then.. " Bec said, letting her sentence trail off.

"..No.." Rebecca said, dismayed at the thought Edward was now a zombie.

"Rebecca, we've got to move on." Bec said, reminding her that they have to stop the train.

"Right." she said, getting back on track.

They head into the second passage car, shoot a the zombies just enough that they stumble, so they can squeeze pass them and get into the next car.

Just as they enter the car, they see a zombie eating a body, but this one had a STARS vest. Edward turns his head, once he realized there were living people in the car.

"No.." Rebecca cried out.

Edward gets up but Bec starts shooting at him, making him stumble. Rebecca then looks at Bec astonished, but then realizes that Edward was still trying to come their way.
Rebecca then shoots at him as well, until he was no longer a threat.

"... We can't waste anymore time, let's go." Rebecca said after a few seconds have passed.

As they go to the dining car, Bec speaks, "I'm sorry that I shot at him, but he clearly had only one thing on his mind."

"You're right." Rebecca said sadly. 'He would've killed us and we might've become zombies ourselves.' she thinks.

They get into the dining car when Bec grabs a wine bottle from the fridge. Then they stop by the gas can in the next car, "Go on ahead. I'll be right out." Bec said, emptying the wine bottle.

"Be careful." Rebecca said, heading outside.

Rebecca finds the mechanism for the brake and uses the card on it. She then makes the appropriate measures, once that was done, she grabs her radio.

Bec comes outside just as she says into the radio, "This is Rebecca! The brake is ready on this end! Over!"

"Right!" Billy says, "I'll put the break on now!"

Billy then makes the brake controls to what there suppose to be and applies the break.

Bec, however knows it's useless, even as the brake activates. The train was going too fast to where they were going and braces herself.

Once the train gets on the branch line, Billy shouts in the radio, "We're on a branch line! Brace yourselves!"

"Damn!" Rebecca said, realizing the train won't stop in time. The train goes through barricade, she grabs Bec and protects her as the train derails and crashes.

It was ten minutes later that Bec awakes. "What?! Oh, right, the train crashed." she said with a grimace.

She looks around and finds Rebecca a couple of feet away. She goes over to her and shakes her. "Come on, wake up Rebecca." she said in an almost pleading like voice.

A moment passes as Rebecca groans and opens her eyes. "Bec.. are you ok?" she asks as she gets into a sitting position.

"Yeah, just bruised." she said, relieved.

Rebecca stands up and looks over herself and Bec. She holds herself, a little bruised. "Let's go find Billy." Rebecca said.

Bec nods and they walk to where the front of the train should be. They hear a voice, "Rebecca? Bec?"

It was Billy, "We're here." Bec calls out to him. He turns and sees them, going over to meet them.

"Are you both ok?" he asks as they meet up.

"Yeah." Rebecca said.

"We've managed to stop the train, even through it's a mess." Billy said, trying to make light of the situation.

"Yes... but the tunnel where we entered this place is blocked." Bec said.

"Then we'll just have to find another way out." he said.

Bec then brings out her gun, startling Rebecca and Billy, until they see zombies getting up. They all shoot at them until they were no longer moving.

They look around, "Over there!" Bec said pointing to a passage.

They head over to the door and head in. They all wrinkle their noses as the smell of sewage hits them. ".. Let's go." Rebecca said.

They get in the nasty water and wade to where a ladder was waiting for them. Billy goes up first, followed by Rebecca, then Bec.

Billy pushes the top off, they get out to find themselves in a hall. 'The main hall of the training facility.' Bec looks around the place.

"An Umbrella research center?" Billy asks aloud, walking over to where the symbol was printed on the floor.

Bec goes up the stairs with Rebecca, to look at the portrait of Dr. James Marcus. Rebecca remembers seeing his face back on the train, while Bec thinks about everything they need to do, to get out of here.

Billy then comes up from behind them, "The first general manger, Dr. James Marcus." Billy said.

'We're not alone.' Bec knows that they are being watched by a camera.

In the place where Wesker and Birkin are, they see the three of them. "Who are these people?" Birkin asks.

"The girl with the short hair is just a rookie, a member of STARS Bravo team." Wesker said, after getting a good look at Rebecca.

"What about the other girl? And the male?" Birkin then asks.

"I'm not sure about either of them." Wesker answers.

Bec then chooses at that moment to look up at the camera, where they were watching them.

".. She doesn't know we're here, right? Or that the camera is there?" Birkin asked, unnerved.

"She wouldn't, she far too young to have ever been here." Wesker said, but he was unnerved as Birkin.

"I have to admit though, she's quite the beauty." Birkin said, as he looked at her.

'Indeed.' Wesker thinks, as he looks at her as well.

Then an old recording comes on, "Attention. This is Dr. Marcus. Please be silent as we reflect on out company motto."

This surprises four out of the five people in the facility, as Rebecca and Billy look around to see where the voice is coming from, Bec just stays put.

"Obedience breeds discipline. Discipline breeds unity. Unity breeds power. Power is life." the recording finishes.

The tv's, where Wesker and Birkin are, start changing until they show a young man in the main security room.

"Who are you?" Wesker demands.

"It was I, who scattered the t-virus in the mansion. Needless to say, I contaminated the train too." the man said.

"What?!" Birkin asked alarmed.

"Revenge on Umbrella!" the man said.

He then sings a melody, the leeches respond to his call and form a shape that neither Wesker or Birkin could ever forget.

"Dr. Marcus?" Birkin asked, shocked.

The young man chuckles, "Ten years ago, Dr. Marcus was assassinated, by Umbrella. And you two helped them, didn't you!" he said, accusingly.

Wesker's brows knit together, Birkin is gob smacked, and the young man laughs again.

Back where the three heroes are, "This Marcus guy sounds like a no nonsense type of guy." Bec said, once the recording was done.

"Sounds right. Where should we go now?" Billy asks.

"Let's look around here to see what we can find first." Bec said.

They find herbs, handgun and machine ammo. Once they were ready, Bec suggests they try the double doors, to the east of the portrait.

"Any reason?" Rebecca asks.

"Just that we're right now close to them." Bec said.

They head in and see that it was a dining room, with two zombies moving about. Billy and Rebecca take care of them, then they explore the place but find nothing that is useable.

Bec 'tries' the door leading to the kitchen, but it was locked.

"Looks like that door further up is our best bet." she said to her friends.

"Got it. It looks like this place has been used recently." Rebecca said, looking around to see food and other stuff.

"Which would explain the zombies, but what about Umbrella? How do they fit in?" Billy asks.

".. On the train, we've found notes about illegal experimentation. In the notes, it was stated that there are labs and some kind of training facility here in the mountains. This place must be the training facility." Rebecca said.

"Huh, given the way things look, it would appear that Umbrella has secrets. Deep dark secrets." Bec said.

'Of course they do. Sick bastards experimenting on humans, just so that one can become a 'god'.' Bec thinks mockingly.

Bec moves over to the door, that will take them to the boiler room, when the zombie over there comes to life. "Ah!" Bec said in surprise and falls back. Billy shoots at the zombie, it was no longer a threat.

Bec pants in relief as the zombie is no more, "Thank you Billy." she said.

Billy, however coughs and looks away from her, making her confused. Rebecca then speaks, sounding embarrassed, "Um, Bec, we can see your underwear."

Bec turns red and quickly moves into a proper position, for one wearing a skirt. She was still red as she remembers that most of the protagonists that are female, in the Resident Evil universe, usually have pants.

'With good reason. Pants are practical.' the game just had to bring her into it while she was wearing a skirt.

"Well, let's move." Billy said. They head over to the other single door and find themselves in a boiler room.

Billy walks to where the door is and the girls follow him. Two zombies are found wandering in the next room, they quickly get rid of them, before exploring. Rebecca finds a small black statue.

Bec heads further into the back and shouts, "Hey! I found shotguns!"

Billy and Rebecca come over to check them out. "This will give us some extra fire power. Rebecca, have you used one of these?" Billy asks, taking one.

"Only in practice, but we may need this." Rebecca said, putting the extra shotgun in the backpack. They all had seen a gas can, but they have no use for it right now.

With Billy leading, they head up the ladder in the room to find themselves on a balcony. They realize that they are not alone, when they hear moaning.

"Get ready." he said to them. He decides to use the shotgun.

Bec then points to a body on the ground. Remembering what happened before, Billy takes aim and shoots that zombie, before it gets up. The noise gets the attention of the other zombies.

As the zombies come around the corner, they all shoot at them with the shotgun and handguns. Once the threat was gone, they go foreword, finding green herbs. They find a door, unlock it and find themselves in a lecture hall.

They explore the room, with Rebecca finding ammo and Billy finds a working terminal, but it requires a disk. "Hopefully the disk is still here." Billy said to them.

Bec then 'finds' the paper that has the regulations for the school and shows it to the both of them.

Regulations for Trainees

Training Facility Mission

This training facility will raise a new generation of model employees to serve the future of Umbrella Corp.

Applying the strictest and most rigorous training standards, this facility will, without regard for gender, race, or creed, produce only the best candidates to be the global future leaders of Umbrella Corporation.

We look forward to the development of your leadership qualities.

Training Facility Guidelines

Discipline, Obedience, Unity.

These three words are the basic principles that govern Umbrella Corporation employees, and are to be considered the law of this facility.

Keep these words in mind at all times. Devote yourselves to your training, and bring honor to yourselves and the corporation.

James Marcus Director, Umbrella Corporation Management Training facility.

"He definitely sounds like he was a hard ass. So, Umbrella had their future leaders trained here? This far out of the city? Your right Bec, Umbrella has some dark secrets." Billy said, after reading the paper.

Rebecca is quiet for a moment. "We are definitely seeing a dark side of the medical science world, however, Umbrella has been around for decades. It helped Raccoon City flourish, we need more proof." she said.

'She's right. Even then, more will be needed.' Bec knows that Umbrella won't go down without a fight.

They head over to the double doors that lead out of the hall and are back in in the main hall. They see a statue that has the words 'When good and evil are in balance, a new doorway will open'.

"What do you two think?" Bec asks them.

"Not sure. Maybe we'll figure it out as we go." Rebecca said.

"Well let's head this way." Bec said, going over to the west where a door is.

"Hey! Wait for us!" Billy said as he and Rebecca follow her.

They head in and see that it was a living room. As they look it over, Bec finds a paper while Billy grabs a crank handle. "Don't!" Bec said aloud and too late.

Crows come bursting in from the windows, "Run!" Bec shouts. They quickly leave the room, but get a couple of scratches from the birds.

They breath heavily, "Wh-What was up with those crows?" Rebecca asks.

"Good question. Maybe their infected like the dogs were." Bec said recovering.

"Say, Bec what do you have in your hand?" Billy asks, once he recovered.

"A staff notice." she said. They read it.

Notice to All Staff

Regular meetings of the Vaccine Research and Infections Agents teams will be held.

Both meetings are Security Level 5, and will be held in the following locations:

1F W Operations Control Room 2F SE Meeting Room

The entry code shall be

"8:15"

Thank you.

"There seems to have been more, but time has made it unreadable." Bec said.

"Yeah, but the time on here might be useful." Rebecca said.

They then put away the crank and the paper, "I think we should check out the door back in the lecture hall." Bec said.

"Why should we backtrack?" Billy asks.

"Call it a feeling." Bec said, cryptically.

The other two were unsure but they all head back to the lecture hall and head through the single door. They hear moaning and ready them selves as they turn a corner and shoot at two zombies.

"Hey, let's head through these doors." Billy said. There was a set of double doors in the hall.

They all head in and sees that it was a library, they check the place out. They find a microfilm called 'A' and a map that shows the training facility.

Bec and Rebecca check it over. "This place is big and I'm getting the feeling that this is only the surface." Rebecca said.

"Your most likely right." Bec said.

Billy some over to them, "One of the computers has been used recently, probably by the poor saps who are now zombies." he tells them.

"Well, they were here to reuse the place." Bec said.

They see that the facility has three floors on the map. "Say, this lift over here can take us to the third floor." Billy said going over to it.

"Wait, the crank I found can work this." Billy said bringing it out.

He puts it into the winch, that connects with the lift, when he sees a problem. "Someone needs to stay here and work this." he informs the girls.

"I think you should stay Billy and Bec.." Rebecca turns to speak with her, but Bec stops her.

"Let me go with you. I can help." Bec said.

Rebecca looked like she wanted to argue, but stops, "Ok, but remember, you need to stay safe." she said.

"Yes." Bec then takes out the shotgun.

"Do you know how to use that?" Billy asks.

"No, but isn't it similar to a handgun?" Bec asks, hesitantly.

"Yes, but that's it. Similar. Here's how.." Billy gives Bec tips on using the shotgun.

"Thank you." she said. Both she and Rebecca get on the lift and Billy cranks them up.

Once they get to the third floor, a new creature appears. It was a large insect that had pincers that could snap them in half.

Bec aims the shotgun and fires at it, damaging it, but the kickback from the shotgun was more surprising than she expected. "Ah!" Bec said in surprise.

Rebecca then shoots at it until it was dead, making sure to keep it away from both Bec and herself.

Another then comes out from the corner and gets behind Rebecca. "Move!" Bec shouts, recovered from the kickback.

Rebecca moves and shoots at the creature, just as Bec uses the shotgun again. This time Bec was better prepared for the kickback and they take down the crawler.

They look at each other. "Do you always pick up things quickly?" Rebecca asks her.

"Some say I do, but I think it also depends on the situation." Bec answers.

The radio on Rebecca comes to life, "Hey you two ok? Over." Billy asks.

Rebecca brings the radio to her, to speak, "Yes. Found some insect creatures, they were probably exposed to the virus. They were huge. Over."

"I see, well I got my own bad news. Once the lift connected to the floor above, something broke. There is no way this can be used again. Over." Billy tells him.

"Damn." Rebecca said. Bec takes out the map and 'looks' it over.

"There is a set of stairs in a room called 'Large Hall'. It's suppose to connect with the main hall, in the upper part." Bec tells Rebecca.

Rebecca then tells Billy what Bec told her, ".. so we'll meet you there. Over." Rebecca said.

"All right. Over." Billy said.

Rebecca puts the radio away and she grabs ammo for her and Bec. They then leave for the next spot, finding a fountain as well as crows. The crows move toward them at seeing them, but they shoot them down.

Rebecca grabs an green herb before they head into the large hall. Just as they do, the radio comes on again. "Hey, I've found the door, but it's locked. One of you needs to come down and unlock it. Over." Billy said.

"Ok, there is no threat in here, so I'll go do it." Rebecca said.

"That's fine, I'll check this room out." Bec said.

Rebecca leaves to help Billy, Bec makes a show of looking around before standing by the winches.

As Bec was doing this, Rebecca gets to the single door to unlock it, letting Billy in.

"Let's get back to Bec." she said, turning to do just that, when Billy grabs her wrist.

When she looks at him, he says, "There is something.. off about Bec."

"What do you mean?" Rebecca asks.

"She seems to know where to go in this place. Not to mention.. Back in the living room, it was like she knew those crows would appear." Billy tells her.

Rebecca thinks on what Billy told her. 'He has a point.. Does Bec have great intuition? Or.. has she been here before?'

'.. Despite all that, I don't think she's a threat.' Rebecca finishes her thoughts.

"Let's just chalk it up, that it's due to the situation. We'll ask Bec about it later. Once were out of here." she said.

".. Ok." Billy said, letting her go. He follows her up the stairs into the large hall where Bec is.

"There you are! I found a key underneath that cage down there. This winch here, connects with the cage, however there is no way for the chain to stay in place." she tells them.

"That key might help us. I'll work the winch. Bec stay here with me." Billy said. He whines the winch, causing the cage to go up and Rebecca climbs down the ladder.

She grabs the key, and just as she goes back to the ladder, a hissing noise is heard. She turns to look behind her, the grate in the pool is broken down as a huge centipede comes in.

It grabs Rebecca. "Help!" she cries to them.

"Hold on!" Bec shouts as she and Billy ready their weapons.

Using their shotguns, they fire on the Centurion. It moves every time they hit it, which makes them chase after it. They watch out for it's legs, but at one point it hits them both.

"Hah!" Bec said in pain as the monster hit her.

"I got this Bec! Just avoid it!" Billy said.

After a few more bullets, the creature let's Rebecca go as it succumbs to it's injures. "Aa!" she shouts as she falls to the ground, as well as the centipede.

Bec and Billy get to her and pull her up. "You ok?" Billy asks.

"Yeah, it didn't do anything to me. Are you two ok?" she asks them.

"Give Bec some treatment. I'm gonna check out those double doors at the end of the hall." Billy said.

Rebecca treats Bec with some herbs as Billy does just that. After a minute he comes back, "The doors are blocked by knights, like the ones we saw in the lecture hall and main hall." he tells them.

'The tablets are needed in there.' Bec knows where they are, but says nothing. As Rebecca finishes treating her, she can see that Bec is trembling again.

She then turns to Billy, "Here let me help." she said and treats his injures.

Once she was done, Bec takes out the map. "Hey, Rebecca, let me see that key please?" Bec asks.

Rebecca shows her the key, "This has a fire design on it, there's a door in the kitchen that has that." Bec tells them and shows them on the map.

"Also there's a door in the corridor where we entered the library with the same design." Billy said. Unbeknownst to him, Bec is surprised he knows that.

"How are you sure?" Bec asks once she gets rid of her surprise.

"Yeah, as I was on my way to the door, I decided to check the rest of the corridor." he said.

"Ok, why don't we go there first before we go to the kitchen?" Bec asks.

"Sounds fine." Rebecca said.

They head downstairs, but Bec then makes a move to a door that was before the main hall. "I'm really curious as to what's behind this door." she tells them.

Armed, they go in to find two crawlers in the room. They shoot at them until they died, making sure to stay out of harm's way.

They then check out the room, finding shotgun shells and two grenade launchers. Rebecca and Billy put them both in the back pack for now and Bec 'finds' a small white statue.

"These statues.. What do you think there for?" Bec asks.

"Not sure yet, but let's get back to what we we're doing." Billy said. They try the door, with a water symbol on it, on the other side of the room, but it was locked, so they leave the room.
