Finally Belonging Somewhere – Part 127:

The final few days in France went by so fast and it wasn't too much longer and it was time for the Malfoy Children to head to the Greengrass Estate, where James and Cait were there to meet them. The Laird and Lady had heard all about Aurora calling them the King and Queen so they had donned crowns for the arrival of the young Malfoy girl.

Aurora giggled as soon as she saw what they were wearing and then she realised why they were wearing the crowns and fear nipped at her. The two rushed to reassure her that they were not offended by it at all. They actually found it rather funny.

"It is rather amusing, sweet girl, and we can see why you would think that," Cait said as she looked down slightly at Aurora. "We could not resist putting on some of the family jewels for you. You will be able to wear your tiara plenty of times whilst you're here," she said and Aurora's face lit up at that news.

Draco and Aurora were shown to their rooms where they were able to unpack and freshen up as there was going to be a meal to welcome the two back to the Estate. That wouldn't happen until the evening but it was always a wise idea to let people adjust to the temperature as the south of France was far warmer than the Highlands of Scotland were. It was a shock to Aurora as she had to switch from her summery clothes to her cooler weather clothes.

Aurora found her favourite boots on. She tried to find all her favourite things as she was excited to go and see Kenzie and Aislynn again as she'd missed them a lot. Astoria had said that they would be spending the day at Maggie and Callum's which pipped Aurora's attention as she wondered what was possibly being planned. James and Cait already treated them as family so it could have been anything really.

Draco and Astoria stood waiting before Aurora arrived and Astoria chuckled.

"Our little Highland flower has returned," she said before running a hand gently through Aurora's hair before leading the way out of the Big House and down towards the house where Maggie and Callum lived with the children.

"Aurora Malfoy!" Kenzie said as she opened the door and hugged Aurora as soon as she realised who it was. The girl wrapped her arms around Kenzie and smiled before the Scotts girl realised Draco and Astoria were with her.

Aurora rushed over to the piano, sat down and began to play a tune. She smiled as she began to play and that drew Aislynn and little Greer out of their hiding places.

"Callum and the boys are still out on the farm but they'll be back in time," Maggie said as she brought drinks for everyone in the living room.

"I'm going to go and find them," Draco said as he took some of the drinks. "Leave you to find out all about Paris from Tori here," he said with a chuckle. He went and spoke a few words to his sister before leaving. Aurora thought for a minute before she went and sat down next to Astoria and thanked Maggie for her drink.

"Thank you Maggie," Aurora said as she looked at Maggie before beginning to drink.

She sat quietly and listened as Astoria spoke about everything that happened in France and about the Malfoy vineyards. The girl loved it and was trying not to think about the fact that she would one day be the owner of the vineyards. It was something that had only crossed her mind after visiting and staying there.

"Well, one day, I'm sure that everyone will be invited there," Maggie said as she saw the look in her daughters' eyes.

"You will because I will make it happen. It would be so fun and we could have the biggest pool party ever," Aurora said, "although I'm not sure if you all could cope with the heat."

Astoria's eyes widened as she heard Aurora's words before Maggie laughed softly.

"She does have a point," she said. "We Scots are more used to the cold than the heat," she said before squeezing Astoria's arm gently. The older witch smiled softly as she felt her niece relax at her words and reassurance.

"That was the point. Although Tori seemed to adapt to it well," Aurora said as she looked at the slightly older girl.

"I'm just a very adaptable person," Astoria said. "Now I am surprised that Draco wanted to go and help the lads on the farm but, then again, he is trying to learn the Greengrass life," she said.

"I'm hungry," Greer said, "when can we stop for lunch?

"When your father and brothers and Draco arrive back and not a moment too soon. We have guests as well," Maggie pointed out.

"They aren't guests, they're family and you know it mum," Aislynn said from her perch on the floor with the cat.

"Either way we will wait for everyone," Maggie said before hearing a sigh from Greer.

Luckily it wasn't too much longer and Callum came walking through the door with Draco, Jamie, Arran and Finn last as always.

Aurora surprised everyone and went straight over to Callum.

"Well if it ain't 'Rora," he said in his way that always made her giggle every time. "Now, where's lunch?"

"Well that was predictable Callum," Maggie said with a roll of her eyes. "In the kitchen. Now Greer is also hungry."

Callum let the children go first before Jen slipped in and joined them. She wanted to see how Aurora reacted to being around people now compared to when she'd first met them.

It was like she was looking at a different girl. Aurora was more comfortable around the family. She'd been able to spend time with Jamie and Kenzie at Hogwarts and that had helped her with them but Jen was interested to see how Aurora reacted and interacted with the other children who she didn't see often.

The afternoon passed on well and all too soon it was time to head back to the Big House for the welcome meal for Draco and Aurora.
