Planet Albus 01

Beneath all the superficial glamor of the planet's surface of megastructure and skyscrapers, deep within the bowels of the planet's gem underworld where cogs and gears spun on their axis, a soft thrum of music could be heard; further into the unseen world to the upper crust gems, the music thrummed louder and the sound of a crowd could be heard. Corundum could be seen walking with Fayalite beside her as they both make headway for the jam session in progress. In the distance as they walked, various different gems could be seen heading in the same direction.

Speaking up first with an excited look on her face, Corundum glanced over at Fayalite beside her as they headed towards a refurbished supply warehouse that was once closed down for repairs. "Sounds like Tephroite finally got some new sound synthesizers!" she remarked as the music became louder and clearer as the two gems walked towards their intended destination.

Lifting her bangs up and tucking them behind her ear to allow her left eye to look directly back at Corundum, her lips quirked into a bit of a smile "hm, yeah, I heard her jam partner Spodumene managed to procure some better acoustics, even managed to reconfigure those old monotonous turntables the upper crusts use, and suit it their needs." Fayalite responded back with interest in her voice.

As the two gems continued to walk closer to the warehouse with the music becoming more prominent, from around the gem-like pathway leading towards the place that they walked on, various gems could be seen heading in the same direction as well. Gems from all corners and directions of the underworld could be seen exiting out from alleyways and buildings that were closing down for the gems' shift being over. All around the pathway leading towards the ongoing music party, lower crust gems of all types were eagerly heading to the place of gathering to unwind; coming in all shapes and sizes, gems could be seen eagerly talking to each other as they all headed to the same destination in mind.

Passing by two Bismuth gem lookouts beside the double door hexagonal entrance, both Corundum and Fayalite greeted the two gems with a wave; the two large gems greeted them both in kind with a nod, before resuming their watch for any danger to the little music party. As Corundum and Fayalite entered the warehouse, and made way for the center of the building, the music was now blaring loudly from all corners of the warehouse from built-in speakers to make the music be heard all around the inside.

Corundum let out an excited noise as she pointed out towards the dance floor, "Look at everyone go!" she remarked as gems could be seen bopping and dancing to the rhythm of the music played in the building. Some gems could be seen sitting atop supply boxes and simply bobbing their heads, while others stood atop the boxes to dance in place.

At the stage at the backend of the warehouse where two gems could be seen working at a DJ box together, the two gems had lithe amorphous bodies with clear skin that showed their actual gem color inside. A pink Tephroite with dredd appendages covering her entire head, while the gem next to her was a Blue Spodumene with a single eye and head appendages morphed to look like a top knot that rested atop her head. The two DJ gems worked together at the dj table with their hands on angular hexagonal discs that played the music within the warehouse. Both of them looked to be in their element as they worked the music to please the ears of the gems inside the building.

"Come on, Fayfay!" Corundum yelled over the music as she pulled Fayalite's hand to bring her with her to the dance floor, "There's a spot with our names on it!" She encouraged Fayalite, and in turn smiled softly as she was pulled along by Corundum to where there was an open spot for the two of them to dance together. Once the two got to a suitable spot, Corundum wasted no time in starting a bopping and dancing to the music, with Fayalite joining in soon after.

With all that was going on during all this music and dancing, some gems that were close to each other in relationship had their gems lit up; before long, the entire warehouse lit up with brief flashes before calming down to fusions of different gems jamming to the beat of the music from the Pink Tephroite and Blue Spodumene DJs. Meanwhile with Corundum and Fayalite, their gems lit up, but didn't go that far from that in comparison to how other gems in the warehouse were comfortable with each other to that extent. All in all, it was a rather excellent turn out for the lower crust gems able to unwind away from the prying eyes of gem society and all of its constricting rules.

As the music began to wind down, the crowd of gems, from singular to fusions, applauded the two music players in appreciation for their skill outside their designated gem design. Tephroite, bringing up a megaphone of sorts made out of angular gem material, she held it up to her lips to speak to the crowd before her. "What do you say?" she hollered into the megaphone

"One more time!" The crowd of gems chorused in excitement.

A couple Bismuths from beside the stage took a cue from Spodumene that was still behind her DJ booth, gave them a nod and smile, prompting them to begin bringing up repurposed music tools that the upper crust gems used for ball music. "That's what I thought!" Cheered Tephroite, as two more Spodumene gems made their way up the stage, and took positions at their music tools to begin playing the next round of the jam session. From there, the entire warehouse was filled once more with music as the amorphous bodied gems began strumming and playing their music for the audience to dance to, a night for all gems to enjoy until their next shift ready.

Later

While the night was yet to be over, music continued to be played from the amorphous gem troupe; off to the side where gems were taking a minute break before getting back onto the dance floor, Corundum and Fayalite could be seen sitting down on makeshift stools. Corundum giggled as she elbowed Fayalite beside her, "And you said you couldn't dance!" she guffawed at Fayalite's embarrassed expression.

With a resigned sigh and smile, Fayalite glanced down at Corundum beside her as she crossed her arms. "Yeah, yeah, get out of your system, I just didn't think they'd be that good." she remarked while the music in the background was played softly for the crowd to catch a break and relax until the next round picked up to a faster beat for them to dance to.

"You kid'n me?" Corundum jested as she giggled at Fayalite's squirming body, "I thought you were great on the floor!" she exclaimed with a simple smile afterwards.

As silence fell between the two gems while the music continue to be played into the atmosphere from the band troupe on the stage, Fayalite broke the silence between the two of them with a cautious tone. "Hey, Cor'." She spoke up with her visible eye under her bangs looking directly over at the smaller gem.

"Yeah?" Corundum responded without a care for the moment.

Deciding to get it over with, Fayalite spoke with worry written all over her face. "What-what would you do if your gem line was slated to be-" she began to say, only for Corundum to cut her off with a sideways look and smile.

"Fayfay." Corundum silence her fellow gem partner she's known since before Yellow Diamond came into existence, "I know what your about to say…" she then formed a melancholic smile up at her gem friend, "It's written all over your face…that, and I received the order before we met back up to meet for this little music party."

"Oh…" Fayalite said with a downcast look, before looking back over at Corundum, "What are you gonna do now? We could try finding a place to escape to."

Corundum shook her head and smirked at Fayalite, "Oh come on Fayfay, why's there a 'we' in this?" she asked with a sardonic grin, "The last thing I wanna do is drag you down with me."

Fayalite brought her hand up and nervously rubbed her arm to cope with her feelings, "Come on, Cor', we've known each other for so long, I don't think I can imagine a life without you." she shook her head negatively.

As the two fell into uncomfortable silence, Corundum spoke up with an unsure look on her face. "Hey…" she said with a thoughtful expression, "If we did somehow manage to escape this planet, where would we even go?" she asked.

With a shrug of her shoulders, Fayalite answered back as she looked up to glance at the spinning ball of light that added ambiance to the music dance party. "I heard Pink Diamond's planet could be considered a refuge, rumor says that the Diamonds have washed their hands of the planet after Pink Diamond was felled by her own evil Quartz soldier."

"But didn't the Diamonds wipe that planet off of the star map?" Corundum asked her fellow gem with a confused look as she kicked her feet while sitting on her stool.

Fayalite rolled her eyes as she crossed her legs and leaned back on the nearby wall that the stool she sat on was next too, "And you believe the word of the propaganda they release from their lips?" she questioned with her brow raised.

"Hey!" Corundum began to defend herself, her hands palms gesturing towards her chest, "A Nephrite gem I know, was stationed on that world, and she was one of many gems that was able to get off of the world in time." Corundum explained to Fayalite, "And she said the entire planet was engulfed in a white light just before her ship entered into warp speed to come back to our home galaxy."

"Hmm." Fayalite mumbled out her lips, and shrugged, "That could be anything, we don't know the full capabilities of our Diamonds anyhow." she remarked.

"Yeah…" Corundum spoke back with a thoughtful expression, "soo…Earth it is then?" she suggested with a smirk up at Fayalite, who returned the smirk back.

"First, we gotta procure a ship that'll get us there." Fayalite pointed out, "Then we can see if Pink diamond's planet is safe by now to take asylum at."

Before the night could finish off on a high note however, the down of crashing and gem rioting could be heard outside the warehouse, drowning the music party inside the building, prompting the music to be stopped and everyone to cease what they were doing and find out what was going on outside.

Fayalite frowned as she pulled out her datapad from her gem on her shoulder, and began sliding her finger on it. "Oh…" her lone visible eye widened as she realized the cause of the ruckus outside. A list was now made of gem types to be relocated off of the planet, including Corundum's gem type, and many more with recent new gem types and automation replacing them; by the looks of it, the Herkimer Quartz soldier gems would be replaced by White Diamond's Chalcedony Quartz soldiers. As Fayalite continued to slide the list down, her gem line also was listed among them.

Breaking her out of her funk, Corundum shook her by her shoulders. "Looks like we're finding that ship sooner than expected!" she smirked up at her, with which she returned a lopsided smile of her own. While the Band troupe could be seen ushering out the backdoors by their Bismuth helpers in the background, the front doors were slammed open by a Snowflake Obsidian. "Everyone out!" she shouted, "White Diamond's Gray Chalcedony soldiers and Homeworld's Carnelian Arbites are out in droves, rounding up every gem on the list of gems to be relocated off this planet!"

With that simple sentence leaving the lips of the Obsidian gem, every unsanctioned gem fusion unfused and the entire crowd began pushing their way out of the nearby exits and open windows. "And that's our cue." Corundum spoke aloud to Fayalite beside her as they both stood up from their seats and made way for the nearest exit.

Homeworld

Within the archives of Yellow Diamond's domain on homeworld, said Diamond Matriarch was busy searching through shelves of disc records until she finally found what she was searching for and pulled out a large drawer that was labeled with the recent hundred years. "If I wasn't so paranoid of losing all the information, I'd have simply had it stored into servers for ease of access." Yellow muttered to herself, the drawer she pulled out was at chest height for her, thus she didn't need to lean down or require a stool to stand on to pull an entire drawer out from the top shelves.

Yellow smiled as she found what she was looking for, a disc file of the last hundred years. "Found you." She spoke to herself with a smile, before taking the file out and held it within her hand to take with her to the nearest console in the archives. Once Yellow Diamond exited out of the many rows upon rows of archived data, her pearl could be seen minding her own duty in helping Yellow sort out the other last hundred years of data prior to the one she just pulled out. It was best to cover all her bases, rather than from one century alone.

Just as Yellow approached a gem console and monitor to start working at, out of the corner of her eye she noticed Yellow Pearl reach up to her ear, signifying she was getting an incoming call through her headset. Yellow sighed and rolled her eyes, if it wasn't one thing, it was another; she was busy with her own investigation, and now some gem was probably reporting some problem. 'This is exactly why I created Citrine, but it didn't ease the burden any less.' Yellow grimaced to herself in her thoughts.

"My Diamond?" Yellow Pearl spoke up with caution in her tone, bringing her Diamond's attention down to her, "I have some troubling news."

Yellow Diamond pinched the bridge of her nose, and let out an exhausted sigh, before setting the data disk her grasp aside, and addressed her Pearl. "Out with it Pearl."

"Right…" Yellow Pearl began to say as she kept her hand on her ear to listen in on the incoming information, "I'm afraid White Diamond is doing her 'relocation' of gems on one of her planets once again." she informed her Diamond.

"Oh for…" Yellow Diamond let out an annoyed growl, before speaking up. "Why must she be so insistent on having the newest gems on her planets, the older gem lines work just fine!" she bemoaned.

"And there's a revolt in the process as well, the amount of gems she's planning on 'relocating', is…is rather staggering compared to last time." Yellow Pearl remarked with a cautious look up towards her Diamond.

Yellow Diamond ceased her previous action of pinching the bridge of her nose, and resorted to sitting down on the nearest chair fit for her size. She began to rub her chin in thought as she leaned forward in her chair while resting her other arm on the armrest of her chair. "Pearl, get me a list of what gems White is throwing away." Yellow Diamond commanded.

"Uh…my Diamond?" Yellow Pearl questioned her Diamond, unsure if her Diamond's decision was wise. "What about White Diamond?" she asked.

Yellow Diamond simply smirked as she thought internally of the opportunity to finally take some of White's coveted old gems from a bygone era. "I missed the opportunity of taking your Hematites, but I won't miss out on taking what you oh so willingly toss aside." she smirked as she steepled her fingers together and smiled behind them in eager anticipation. If she was quick about it, she could contact her Citrine gem, and order her to head to the planet Albus 01 post haste; the trial of the Pyrope gem could wait a while, the enticing idea of taking White's old era gems were too good to pass up.

They were already low on resources to make gems, and Yellow diamond had to agree with her Citrine gem, they couldn't afford to lose gems so willy nilly. Also to add on to the fact that the gems White wanted gone from her world, were from an era when gems were made from more hardy and abundant resources. With such a sizable list of gems that White was throwing away, Yellow would be a fool to not incorporate them into her military branch of the great Diamond authority. Sure, she'd have to have them factory reseted to suit her needs, but it was better than losing out on precious numbers. "Oh the sheer numbers of gems that will be in my court.' Yellow relished in delight.

White would no doubt raise a hassle of interfering with her desire to throw away gems that belonged to her, but Yellow would be prepared with many rebuttals; She didn't care how much White would raise a stink about it, Yellow would have her extra manpower and she'd be darned if White hogged all the good stuff, especially if she wanted to toss them away. What was yester-century trash, was Yellow's treasure of sheer numerical value of gem manpower.
