Planet Cadmium 5 of Solar System Aureolin 2
Above the gem colony world that was in progress of being hollowed out for its resources and turned into an appropriate colony of the Diamond Empire, of which said planet had been terraformed appropriately before it was left bereft of its oceans, an ongoing space battle was taking place between what made up the planet's meager defense force of ships and the attacking ships of the organics.
Already there were ships belonging to both the Gem empire and the enemy ships presently floating adrift in space from being battered in the contested battle above the colony, and currently one war hand ship remained with its remaining flotilla of ships fighting off aquatic looking space ships that outnumber them three to one; something that had been playing out the whole defense campaign for the gem commanders that defended the solar system against the numberous alien ships.
Within the remaining Yellow War hand ship, A Hessonite clenched her fists in aggravation as she had to watch her entire defense force get outnumbered and taken out. In her defense that no one could fault her for, no self respecting gem admiral, general, commander, nor a captain expected an attack that did not involve the enemy being some rebel gems.
They were so accustomed to fighting themselves, they didn't take into account that other lifeforms would advance enough to give them trouble before they wiped them out before they became a problem; sure there were planets with savage organics that would disrupt the process of colonizing a planet, but never did Hessonite imagine herself in the midst of commanding a defense against a space faring organic race.
How did Hessonite know she was fighting organics? The blasted things were able to somehow hail their comms and speak to them and talk in some gibberish that none of them could make heads or tails of, before the feed was cut prior to the attack on their solar system.
The Hessonite gem let out an aggravated sound, before pointing forward for her Nephrites to take heed, "Full throttle, I want this ship to punch its way into that center-most ship, have the rest of our ships follow and take as many as they can! I will not have those organisms land one single ship of theirs on the planet!" she roared in anger.
Doing as she was told to do without hesitation,The helmsman Nephrite, began working her console to initiate the ship for its ramming, before suddenly a blaring warning siren, signaling on one of the Nephrite radars that reinforcements were arriving for the enemy ships. "Oh Dear!" The helmsman Nephrite remarked in worry.
One of the Nephrites from the comms station, turned to speak with her Hessinate with a troubled look, "My Hessonite, Cadmium one through three have gone silent, four just sent out their distress signal!"
"Raagh!" Hessonite roared in anger as she reached up and grabbed at her hair strands, "I've submitted countless reports that our outer rim planets needed more ships and defenses! Curses!" She screamed while pacing in worry.
"The main ship is charging up its broadside cannons!" Shouted one of the Nephrites as the ongoing space battle between the ships continued on while the Hessonite Gem struggled to figure out a plan with the odds stacked against her.
Hessonite quickly rounded on herself and stood to try and grab the reins of the situation, "Evasive maneuvers now, get us out of the way!" the commanding gem ordered with a thrust of her index finger out at the Helmsman Nephrite.
Said Nephrite began making quick adjustments into the ship's systems, before executing the command, prompting the ship to make quick movements through space. From the view of the bridge's monitors that showed what it looked like outside, the ship itself moved upwards quickly before a beam of plasma fire from the enemy's main ship narrowly missed the hand ship from the underside.
"Incoming ships!" Shouted another Nephrite, and on cue, more aquatic looking space ships exited from their warp speed that looked entirely different to theirs, as the ships exited out from white holes before said holes closed back up after the ships exited from their warp speed method. "Ma'am!" shouted a nephrite in worry, as they were now overwhelmed in numbers.
Hessonite clenched her fists at her sides while gritting her teeth in anger, "I will not go down like this! I refuse!" She snarled out.
"Ma'am!" Shouted in surprise by one of her Nephrite navigators, the gem's single eye looked over to her Hessonite with relief on her face, "Incoming streams of data, we are about to receive back up in three seconds!" she hollered.
"Oh sweet merciful Moon goddess." Hessonite remarked as she collapsed to her knees in relief, just as the enemy ships began charging their cannons directed at her ship.
Before the enemy ships could fully charge up their plasma cannons, from out their warp speed, an armada of Ships exited while initiating a counter offensive on the aquatic enemy ships.
Citrine
With the vanguard ships expected to exit from out their warps speed first, Citrine was left waiting, as were the rest of the Nephrites on the bridge, for her first skirmish against an organic space faring race; granted, after this, Citrine would only assume later on that Yellow Diamond would pragmatically believe it was best to just wipe out all organic life in the galaxy.
Well, they already were with how the empire went about colonizing planets, but with this latest stint involving an organic race that already initiated contact by attacking them first, Citrine could only safely bet that Yellow Diamond's doctrine against organic life would take on a more hostile approach. Much like how rising civilizations of humanity would often wipe others out due to many factors in play, the gem empire was not exempt from the rule to wipe out contesting species and or races.
One of her Nephrites spoke aloud as her ship made its way through warp speed, "Prepare for contact." The Nephrite spoke aloud to the crew of the bridge and the rest of the ship through the intercoms she operated. "In Three." Citrine, with her arms crossed while standing off from her chair, clenched her fists. "Two." Citrine's eyes tightened in focus.
"One." Nephrite finished, just before Citrine's ship exited from its warp speed, giving everyone a view of the opposing enemy forces in mid fight against the vanguard ships that sped ahead.
Citrine reached out with her hand, "Get us over those ships." she pointed to a cluster of large ships being swarmed by the vanguard shops, "I want the finger lasers up and running now!" Citrine ordered quickly.
"Commencing as ordered!" The Nephrite helmsman hollered back as she and her fellow nephites worked together in flying the large war hand ship through space while making the fingers move into place from out of its clenched fist pose.
While the rest of her flotilla of ships exited their warp speed to join the fray, Citrine braced herself as she saw incoming ships head towards her own, "If they haven't already, order all quartz soldiers to prepare for any and all boarding attempts, I want all our guns up an ready set to high voltage!" she ordered.
Destablizer energy worked well enough to act as the ship's firing lasers when concentrated into a fine enough point, and it was what Citrine requested for as one of the many improvements over the centuries to her ship.
Watching from her viewpoint of the bridge, Citrine watched as her ship maneuvered through the incoming enemy ships that surrounded the war hand ship within seconds, some of which were taken out by one of the smaller ships captained by her various Emeralds that captained the Sun incinerators.
From one of the nephrites that read the diagnostics of the ship's status, the gem spoke up quickly, "Reports are coming in ma'am, the enemy ships are taking a beating from our destabilizing lasers!"
"Good!" Citrine announced as the ship was steadily making its way to the congregation of enemy ships, it was soon making a hasty move of splitting apart in separate groups. "What is the progress of the finger lasers!? I want them firing post haste before they have a chance to split further apart!" Citrine inquired in a rushed tone.
"Ready to fire!" One of the Nephrites announced that manned the consoles for the separate finger digits.
Citrine swiped her hand through the air, "Fire now in one grand sweep!" she yelled urgently.
The Hessonite captain that had to watch as her defense force be slowly chipped away until there was nothing left but her war hand ship and few sun incinerators, breathed a sigh of relieved as she watched the incoming stream of ships and war hand ships arrive from out their warp speed; a few flying mechanical robonoids flew through space from out of the Orange war hand towards her own, and began flying around making repairs on her ships and the rest of her defense ships.
Hessonite idly noted the robonoids in question were supposed to be replaced within the next century two, with newer models that could carry repairing liquid while sporting a new sleek look compared to the older models that were a bit blocky in appearance.
Having felt the exhaustive emotion of almost losing the colony to the enemy, Hessonite couldn't help but stumbled back and collapsed to her chair, where she watched as the orange war hand ship began flying through space towards the large group of enemy ships while uncurling its fingers.
With gleeful satisfaction that was shared by her Nephrite crew, they were all treated to the sight of the orange war hand ship beaming its finger lasers off at the group of enemy ships that did the best they could in taking evasive maneuvers. In one swat through space as if the hand was swatting an organic bug, the war hand sliced its lasers through the armada of enemy ships, before clenching its fingers back into a fist for recharging.
The enemy ships themselves that were struck by the finger lasers, ended up getting lasered into parts, leaving the organics inside the sliced ships suffering the vacuum of space as bodies were sent flying out from the sliced halves.
Hessonite cursed in the fact that even the famous Citrine Commander's ship had to deal with needing to recharge its ultimate weapon that most war hands have been upgraded to possess, but the gem supposed Citrine was just fortunate enough that their Diamond shoved a lot of her experimental weapons onto the commander.
"Incoming Transmission." Hessonite's nephrite spoke aloud that manned the comms, prompting the gem to look over at the Nephrite while sitting up straight, "It's from Commander Citrine." The Nephrite followed up with,
Standing up to give the commander her respect, Hessonite motioned for her Nephrite to go ahead, "Patch her in, Nephrite." she ordered.
A holoscreen blipped into existence in the middle of the bridge, before the call connected between the ships. From the other end of the call, Command Citrine was in the midst of barking out orders, "Someone tell Hessonite Cabochon 134 to get her ship to vector 8, Hessonite Facate c0m needs back up!" She ordered while her head was turned and arm stretched out, no doubt pointing at her Nephrites in command of the comms, before planting her hands on her hips while giving Hessonite on the other end of the call her full attention.
"Hessonite facate d12 cut 3c7." Commander called out her specific gem identifier, causing Hessonite to salute citrine,
"Ma'am!" Hessonite greeted with gratefulness, "Words cannot describe how lucky we are to have you arrive just now!" she remarked in relief within her voice.
"I'd imagine." commander Ctrine replied back succinctly, before looking off to the side with a stern look, "someone get me Emerald facet 134 cut d32 on the comms, she's going too far into enemy lines!" she barked out, before returning to the conversion with Hessonite. "What is the status of the repairs of your ship?" She inquired in a rushed tone.
Hessonite quickly looked over to one of the holo screens that showed the status of the ship, giving her a percentage and estimated time of full recovery, before looking back at Commander Citrine through the video call, "Give my ship ten minutes, we'll be back in working order!" she hurriedly replied back to the commander.
Citrine nodded once in satisfaction, before looking off elsewhere, "I want Emeralds Xb5 and Yc7 over with Hessonite d12 now, until she can get her ship in working order!" she ordered quickly, earning an 'affirmative' from her Nephrites, before looking back at a grateful Hessonite.
"One quick question!" Hessonite asked quickly, "Are the other planets receiving aid as well? We've already lost-"
"This whole system is receiving aid." Citrein cut her off with a clipped tone, the commander narrowed her eyes as she spoke, "Both Yellow Diamond and Blue diamond sent their armadas to provide defense and offense against the enemy." she declared, before relaxing her eyes back open with an authoritative look, "The counter offensive aims to push back the enemy to their home planet, and crack it open." she declared.
"...Oh my." Hessonite commented at the solution to the organic foe, "I…did not think we had that capability." she remarked, earning a careless shrug from Citrine.
"We do now." Citrine remarked without missing a beat.
Homeworld
Within the head of White Diamond's ship, Pink's former Pearl in all her white appearance by the fault of a White Diamond, delightfully smiled to herself as she held her never present pose that White puppetted through her to do. Pearl giggled to herself before her body made a one eighty to make her direct her attention upwards and look directly at White Diamond herself.
The Diamond herself had her voice echo between the two as she summarized her thoughts between her and the pearl that posed before her in a perfect poise. "Shame on Yellow for not checking on that solar system." White Diamond remarked in an amused tone, before Pearl spoke back up to White Diamond in the same voice.
"Are you sure about that, my Diamond!?" Pearl asked, while looking up at White Diamond with her single eye, smiling all the while in humor, "You did after all know those organics reached the stage of interstellar travel, why, if I didn't know any better, I'd say you let this happen and not tell Yellow!"
White Diamond giggled to herself while clasping her cheek in bemusement to her Pearl as she gazed down at the controlled gem, "Oh yes, I knew, I just figured I let them advance enough, to give myself a challenge for once!" she remarked, before controlling her pearl to float upwards and land atop her palm that she held out in front of her face.
Pearl, as she was being puppeteered, closed her eye and chortled, before squinting it open with a broad smile, "It has been some time since I've interacted with organics, long before Yellow ever came from me!" she gushed in excitement, before letting her eye relax back open to look directly at White's face.
White Diamond palmed her chest as she let out a wistful sigh, "Indeed it has, I've almost forgotten how long it's been, and what's it like." she remarked, and palmed her cheek next as she reminisced to herself.
"Oh!" Pearl said in surprise, as she conversed with White, "You think that little shard of Yellow will fare better than the rest of the gems!? She's quite the formidable commander against rebel gems, but what do you think are her chances against organics!?" she questioned White.
"Hahaha!" White chortled to herself as she retracted her hand from her cheek and held it aloft beside her in the air, "I almost forgot about that, and she just took in all those defects, with nary a trouble!" she mused with an amused smile, "That is indeed a good question, but I highly doubt she'd have trouble, they are organics afterall!" she commented back to Pearl.
Pearl, closing her eye and laughing bashfully, "Oh my, you are right. And Yellow did after all get her nice little project off from her planet, a nice little gift I suppose I gave her in the chance to use it!" Pearl said in delight, then opened her eye wide with a mischievous glint, "Pink is surely missing out!" Pearl remarked, before rolling her eye in fondness, and directed it back to look directly at White's face "But I suppose she's still having her little tantrum on that colony of her's. She really should stop the act, and just return, she surely wasn't fooling me."
White laughed a bit, before speaking, "She sure threw Yellow and Blue for the loop, but she should have known she didn't throw me for a loop, she is me afterall." she sighed in bemusement.
"Say!" Pearl remarked in a wide expressive look, "How long do you think it'll take until the ruse is up for her, it's only a matter of time until that little shard delves more further, she's certainly come up with many ideas, but she's so close and yet so far away, literally and figuratively! Hohohoh." Pearl moved her arm to cover her move as she laughed, before returning it back to its pose.
White smiled back fondly down at the pearl gem, "Give it a few centuries, perhaps after the little shard gives Yellow the evidence, she'll probably get Yellow's permission to search the planet."
"OH dear!" Pearl playfully made a mocking gesture by clasping her cheeks, "But we hit Pink's planet with corruption, something Yellow and Blue believed was a blast that was supposed to destroy all gems!"
White diamond laughed again to herself and smiled down at Pearl, "Those Diamonds of myself, so young and naive, Pink had it worst. At least I know she survived the blast" She remarked.
"Ahahah! Yes, these past centuries have been quite eventful if I do say so myself!" "Ahahah! Yes, these past centuries have been quite eventful if I do say so myself!"
Both White and Pearl spoke at the same time as the pearl in White's hand turned a one eighty while getting back into her prior pose, both stared off into the eye windows of her head. "I do wonder though…" White spoke alone to herself while the pearl gem remained silent, "Why my Sapphires can't seem to get a better grasp on the future like they did before Pink's silly little tantrum." she reminisced with a frown for once.
Gracing herself once more with a smile as she peered off into her eye window where she could see the night sky of homeworld, White Diamond spoke with an excited tone, "No matter, it just means the future will have better surprises for me! Ehahahaha!" White Diamond's laughter echoed off throughout her head and ship.
