"ALLLLLLLLLL ABOARRRRRRD!" A man yelled out.

Seagulls sounded out over the port as a marine ship prepared to take Dubois to The Mainland.

The marines saluted Dubois. Dozens of villagers and D clan members were there to see Dubois off.

"Elder Ubois! My name is Captain Thomas Lowery, It's an honor to be trusted with your safety! We guarantee you will be safe in our hands." Lowery said.

Dubois looked up at the giant battleship.

"Such heavy artillery.." Dubois said.

"As I said, your safety is guaranteed! Most enemies turn the other way when the threat of 20 Kingdoms and 170 countries is made." Lowery said.

Dubois rubbed the back of his head.

"Well, I trust you then.. has anyone been able to check on Tore?" Dubois asked, looking back at the crowd.

A beautiful, blonde, young woman stepped up.

"I checked on him earlier Mr. Ubois, he's still fighting, but we will make sure he gets better no matter what!" The woman said.

"Thank you so much. It hurts my heart to leave him in such a condition and leave you all with the burden..." Dubois said.

"Oh nonsense! You've done nothing but look out for us for all these years, it's the least we can do!" Another man chimed in.

"Right this way Elder Ubois. Once we get you to The Mainland we will join up with The Secret Order and we will work together to deliver you to the king. We've already made contact with them prior to our departure." Lowery said.

Dubois nodded and walked onto the warship. Dubois looked out towards the people as the ship began to slowly sail away.

Dubois and the people waved, neither would have ever guessed... this was the last time they would ever see each other... and even worse, the next time Dubois would see Tore.. it would be too late.

Shadow Island

Cyclone rest on his knees in his room while going over paperwork. Collector walked in with a red, acidic drink. Collector sat the drink down while he rubbed his bandaged wound from earlier.

Cyclone looked up.

"Good. Set it down right there, that'll be all Collector." Cyclone said, going back to reading.

"Who would've thought hell was located at a place called "The Holy Land." Collector said, "What the hell did they infect that boy with?"

Cyclone looked back up at Collector.

"Sapphire Scales." Cyclone said, "Any natural light causes sapphire growths to take over its hosts body. They said they just wanted to keep Tore put, but that disease is going to kill him if it's left untreated."

"How did they ever infect the boy with something like that?" Collector asked.

"Those old bastards had his food or water spiked at some point." Cyclone said, "They were going to let Tore die because of my information on Burusu, thinking they had me checkmated, but what they didn't count on was anyone knowing the cure. Tore will survive his affliction."

"I just don't see the point of working with those old goats to begin with... if you're going to save Tore and go get the kings' corpse as well." Collector said.

"The king if The Mainland is going to say no to the Government." Cyclone said, Collector was slightly shocked.

"When that happens, there will be a fight! And guess who will be there to clean up the mess?" Cyclone asked.

Collector smiled sinisterly.

"We creep in after and collect the kings' body and you continue to raise up Tore as your brother!" Collector said.

Cyclone smiled and nodded.

"We'll have two sources of that power! And every country and kingdom under the World Government flag... We'll be UNSTOPPABLE!" Cyclone yelled.

"How long does Tore have?" Collector asked.

"Once I administer his antidote he'll have to be on bed rest for an entire year, more than enough time to go find his father's body." Cyclone said, "Get ready."

Collector was confused.

"Where are we going your excellency?" Collector asked.

"Okino Island." Cyclone said, looking at a poster of a man that was wanted for 500 gems.

"This is the man Tore killed according to these reports." Cyclone said, showing Collector a deformed, fat man with a long tongue.

WANTED: GROGI THE TOAD. Reward cancelled.(DECEASED)

"Tore's reaction to killing this man was very interesting, considering his father wanted to kill me after just looking at me. According to these reports Tore was so distraught he even denied the 500 gem reward! He should have been happy. This man he killed was no slouch. From what I remembered reading in the future, he had extensive control over poisons and toxins. His body even secreted them." Cyclone explained.

Collector grabbed Cyclone's cup when he was done drinking from it.

"Also... it just so happens Grogi worked under another man I read about back in the future. He has something I want, and we're going to go take it." Cyclone said.

"We're about to fight, your excellency? How many men should I bring?" Collector asked.

Cyclone began wrapping his turban.

"None. If Rahm's powers work the way I think they do, it shouldn't be much of a fight." Cyclone said, putting on a black cloak with a hood.

"His eyes, once activated, allow him to see from the perspective of his target, targets, or even animals in the area. Perfect for recon." Cyclone said.

Cyclone then walked out of the room, Collector grabbed his bag and followed.

Floratheo Isle (Present Day)

"I could hear the leaving party for Papa Ubois while I was bed ridden, it sucked as much as you could imagine, but I understood I wasn't going anywhere. She took great care of me and our people while Papa was gone." Tore said.

Robin was curious.

"And who was that?" Robin asked.

Tore rubbed the back of his head nervously.

"Well I'm a little embarrassed to say, considering DEATH attacked her greatest descendent a few days ago." Tore said nervously, "She'd give me such a beating if she was still around today!" Tore laughed.

Robin thought about who Tore was talking about and then her eyes widened in realization.

Church of Dubois (903 years ago)

Tore lay in bed suffering from the sapphire scales as villagers put up planks of wood all over the church, blocking out all light. It was now a cool, calm, peaceful night, aside from Tore's affliction.

"This won't cure you, but it's the least we can do.." A woman said, it was the same beautiful woman from the port who saw Dubois leave for The Mainland earlier.

"Thank you, Lady Lily." Tore smiled weakly.

NEFETARI D. LILY

"No problem, Tore! May I call you that?" Lily asked.

"You're the new stand-in Jito while Papa Ubois is gone. You can call me whatever you like ma'am." Tore said.

Lily smiled.

"Will he really be gone 3 whole years? Will I-" Tore was interrupted.

"You're not dying any time soon, Tore. Elder Ubois will be back before you know it and you both can go back to The Mainland together!" Lily assured.

Tore smiled.

"I sure hope so... I want to go so badly." Tore said weakly.

Lily smiled.

"Ubois has told me all about your adventures." Lily said, "You'll have to tell me about them from your point of view sometime."

Tore smiled big.

"Sure thing! Ow... it hurts to move." Tore said.

"Then stop moving. Everything will be alright. Try to get some rest, we will have people watching you to make sure you don't get any worse. I guess I'm Jito now so I've got Jito business to attend to." Lily explained, getting up to leave.

"Thank you again, Ms. Lily!" Tore said.

Lily smiled.

"Any time." Lily said as she left Tore's room.

Tore painfully turned around in bed and tried to go to sleep.

MAINLAND WATERS (100 Nautical miles away from the Kingdom)

Since Ubois was a still growing giant, he sat in a giant custom seat on the deck of the warship while marines worked around him and two vice admirals stood at his side.

"Hmmmmm.." Dubois mumbled.

"Something bothering you, Elder Ubois?" A vice admiral asked.

"I'm just wondering why "an abomination" like me gets so much protection..." Dubois wondered.

"The elders are just harsh with their tongue that's all! We are called insects all the time, but compared to their position we might as well be insects!" The marine explained.

Dubois made an uncomfortable face.

"I-I suppose..." Dubois said.

"Besides, they trusted you with a very important job! They could have easily done this themselves, but they trust you to do it." The vice admiral assured.

"They want me to speak on behalf of them... but we don't even remotely stand for the same thing, I'm worried the king will walk into something he doesn't understand." Dubois said.

"Hopefully by then it will be too late for him to change his mind." The vice admiral said.

Dubois looked up towards the island uncomfortably.

"And if he says no?" Dubois asked.

"Then we kill him." Mu said coldly.

Dubois cringed to himself.

"Whatever that thing was... it meant it when it said it would kill Joy Boy if he said no... who are these people? What is their goal? I've got nothing but bad feelings about this..." Dubois said to himself, thinking about Tore.

"My son... I miss you already." Dubois thought.

Mainland Waters (90 nautical miles from the Kingdom).

"At this pace we will touch down at the south port of The Mainland in less than 2 hours." Captain Lowery said.

A marine ran towards Cpt. Lowery.

"Captain! captain! Ships off the port bow! I see lanterns!" A marine panicked, handing Lowery a spyglass.

Lowery snatched it and looked through it to see three ships moving towards them. They were flying the flag of The Secret Order.

"They're not supposed to be meeting us this far out! Man your stations. I will try to sway them." Lowery said, grabbing a horn.

"ATTENTION! THIS IS CAPTAIN THOMAS LOWERY! ON BEHALF OF THE WORLD GOVERNMENT, WHICH CONSISTS OF 20 KINGDOMS AND 170 COUNTRIES, TURN YOUR COURSE NOW OR WE WILL BE FORCED TO ENGAGE!" Lowery yelled.

The ships still creepily sailed towards the warship.

"They've changed their minds! We'll have to get to The Mainland by force!" Lowery yelled.

Dubois grew concerned.

"Won't that look bad on our end? If we kill the king's defenses and barge onto the island?" Dubois asked.

"They started it." Captain Lowery said, handing the spyglass to a recruit, "Everyone man your stations!" Lowery yelled, running off.

Dubois looked left and right at the frenzied marines.

Dubois stressed to himself, standing up.

"Elder Ubois! You are a large target, let us help you." A marine yelled.

"We don't even know what they want!" Dubois yelled back.

"This isn't a time for argu-"

BOOOOOOOOOOOM!

A side of the marine warship was struck by a heavy explosion. Dubois barely managed to stay on his feet.

"WE'VE BEEN HIT! RETURN FIRE IMMEDIATELY! CALL FOR BACK UP!" Cpt. Lowery yelled as he ran off.

Dubois looked out at the water with shock.

"They said they already spoke to these people... why are they attacking us?! Are they trying to start a war?!" Dubois panicked in his mind.

"Captain!" A marine yelled out.

"What is it?!" Lowery asked, coming back with a rifle.

"On board! That isn't The Secret Order!" The marine yelled.

Captain Lowery took the spyglass back and aimed it at the ship and couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Humanoid demons had taken over 3 secret order ships. They all had black and gold, slimy, scaly skin, with shields and spears apparently made out of the same scaly material.

2 of the demons from each of the three ships cocked back their spears with both hands as if they were about to cast a fishing line.

"GET DOWN!" Captain Lowery yelled.

The demons launched fireballs they conjured at the end of tips of their spears. Two fire balls slammed into the warship.

BOOOOOOM BOOOOOOM!

While the Marines ducked for cover, the demons were able to get close to the warship and box it in.

One ship sliding horizontally to stop in front of the warship and the other two ships lined the sides. More demons came from under the ships and began leaping off the ships of The Secret Order and climbing up the warship.

"Do you still think they just want to chat, Elder Ubois?" Captain Lowery asked, loading up a pistol.

"Well, erm, I-" Dubois stumbled.

"No time! We have to prepare to protect you!" Lowery yelled, running towards a demon.

The fight was intense. Both sides lost men, but the demons would simply step over their mortally wounded to keep fighting.

"They don't have a heart! They're not even trying to protect their numbers!" A marine said, slicing down a demon before he was pierced from behind himself.

Dubois kicked and slapped away demons that attempted to attack him.

"Are they here for the elder?!" A marine asked.

"We have no way of knowing! These things don't speak! They haven't even made a sound!" A marine panicked.

The demons, no matter what, did not make a sound. If they were shot, stabbed, lost a limb, they would just keep fighting until their bodies gave out.

"If the secret order died fighting these guys, I see why!" Captain Lowery said, shooting two demons in the face.

Dubois continued trying to defend himself, when a demon had climbed higher than the others to attack from above.

Dubois picked up a demon and threw it overboard before the demon above him came falling down.

The demon landed on Dubois's shoulder.

"Huh?" Dubois asked, turning his head.

The demon looked Dubois in the face and opened its mouth wide.

Dubois tried to hurry and swipe it off.

CRUNCH!

The demon sank its teeth into Dubois's neck as Dubois screamed in pain.

"ARGGGGGHHH!" Dubois yelled. The demon screeched in Dubois's ear.

"The elder has been hurt! I repeat, the elder has been hurt!" A marine yelled.

Captain Lowery shot the demon in the head and watched it fall from Dubois's body.

BOOOOOOOM! BOOOOOOM BOOOOOOOM!

The three ships the demons were on exploded one by one to the satisfaction of the marines.

"Yes! Back up has arrived!" A marine yelled.

Captain Lowery looked over to see the real Secret Order had arrived.

The Secret Order loaded their cannons and blasted the ships again, sinking them as the marines finished off the demons. Dubois was seriously hurt, bleeding from the neck.

"Get Elder Ubois to the medical unit PRONTO!" Captain Lowery yelled to a few recruits.

"Yes, Captain Lowery!" The marines answered as they became confused.

"WHAT ARE YOU FOOLS DOING HE'S BLEEDING OUT!" Lowery yelled.

"Sir he's huge! How do we move him?" A recruit asked.

Ubois slowly got on one knee. Breathing heavily.

"Elder!" Captain Lowery yelled.

Dubois looked back at Lowery.

"I-I'll be fine... I-I-can get to the medical bay..." Dubois said, looking at the Sacred Order as they boarded.

The Head Knight was very tall, just scraping 7ft tall, he was a muscular but lean man.

The knight's face couldn't be seen behind his mask but his eyes widened upon sight of Dubois.

"Mordecai! Assist the fancy men." The knight said.

5 cloaked men with torches jogged towards Dubois and followed him as he followed the marines.

"The Mordecai are medical experts. They will be of very good use to you." The knight said.

Captain Lowery walked up to the knight and extended his hand.

"Allow me to introduce myself, I am Captain Thomas Lowery! Thank you so much! What were those demons? And who are you so I can thank you by name sir?" Captain Lowery asked.

The huge knight wore traditional knight armor with a square helmet with thin eye slots. Beautiful blue feathers flowed from the top of his helmet. On his back, a mighty sledgehammer with spikes on both sides.

"Those, were demonspawn my friend! Nasty, despicable bunch, but you're safe now. My name is Sir Richart Pierrot, but you may call me Richart. My people know me as "The Tower." Sir Richart said.

Lowery looked Richart up and down.

"I can see why, Mr. Richart!" Lowery said.

"The Secret Order will take things from here, sit back and relax." Sir Richart said.

"I respectfully decline! We are here to ensure the elders' safe travel!" Lowery said watching the water with Richart.

"Ha ha ha ha ha! That was the correct answer Mr. Lowery." Sir Richart laughed.

Captain Lowery nervously laughed with him as knights and marines watched for danger and Dubois rest in the medical bay, the skin on his feet beginning to turn into black scales under his shoes.

Oniko Island

Tore krept through the boarded up Church wearing his usual attire, black pants rolled up to his knees with bandages wrapped around his legs and arms, Tore also wore black sandals.

Tore also wore a black cloak with a white shirt underneath. Tore topped it off with a black bandana wrapped around his head, his spiky hair protruding underneath.

On the center of the bandana was a D over a cross, a symbol of the D clan. Tore opened up the door and snuck outside.

"They said I can't get any light on me, they didn't say moon light!" Tore said, pulling the hood over his head and walking out of the church. Tore took his usual path through the lavender forest, the trees glowed a fluorescent purple at this time of night. The fireflies flying about only added to the scenery.

Tore eventually came across a pond. Tore sat down on a rock and picked a rose from next to him.

Tore poured a light blue powder into the rose and rolled the rose.

Tore held up his arm and it glowed a neon red. The red energy ran up Tore's arm and a tiny red flame popped up slightly above Tore's finger.

Tore inhaled on the rose and then exhaled, blowing out a purplish smoke with yellow particles.

Tore smiled big as he listened to the grasshoppers and crows. Tore's moment was cut short when it started to get hot.

"I should probably take this off." Tore said, taking the hood off his head.

Immediately Tore fell to the ground in pain as sapphire scales began developing all over his neck and back.

"Ughhhh what?! I thought... I just couldn't get sunlight on them...!" Tore said, draining fast.

Tore mustered up all the power he could to get up and walk through the forest.

"C-C-Come on... Tore... you can do this!" Tore said weakly, limping as the scales took over his leg.

Eventually Tore fell over, just outside the forest as the scales began to grow at an even rapid rate, being directly under moon light.

"Arrgghhhh Ahhhhh!" Tore tried to yell, but there was no way he'd be loud enough to reach anyone.

Tore's throat was taken over by the sapphire scales, choking him and making him lose consciousness. Tore held a hand out towards the church, hopless.

"I-I'm sorry... I didn't know!..." Tore said, fading away.

Tore blinked slowly in and out of consciousness.

"I... I..." Tore closed his eyes.

CAW CAW caw caw...

A crow cawwed as two pairs of feet walked up to Tore's body.

The pair were heavily damaged from head to toe, beaten, bruised, and very bloody.

Cyclone and Collector stared down at Tore. Collector stared in silence. A closer look at Cyclone's eyes, showed light blue eyes with gears in them.

Cyclone closed his eyes for a moment and when he opened them, one was lavender and one was a golden clock. Cyclone picked up Tore's body and began walking into the forest, Collector behind him.
