Chapter 4:
(Okay, we're moving into the base game stuff. So, like I said, there will be a HUGE divergence, but there will be some tweaks. Like with Prototype Glamrock Freddy being the reason Bonnie was nearly decommissioned(cuz what purpose does it serve? And if that's our Freddy, why's it relevant that he's a prototype?)Anyways, I won't change Vanessa's character too much from what personality we had in the games, but lean in to that reluctance. Meanwhile, Vanny will get more than one line this time. Enjoy the chapter!)
Bonnie and Sammy were near the lane in Bonnie Bowl where they played. Bonnie tried to email Asher again, but so far, Asher hasn't been responding to the messages. "Maybe Uncle Asher had a day off?" Sammy asked, "Maybe. Still, it's not like him to not respond." Bonnie said, "Well, I guess we could go check on your Uncle Freddy before we leave, rascal?" Bonnie asked. Sammy nodded, "Yeah, that way we know he's okay!" the boy said. "Okay, by now, they'd have taken him back to his room, so we should head to Rockstar Row." Bonnie said, remembering which way to go.

System: Powering On…
Entering: Safe-Mode
Internal Clock: 11:31 PM
Glamrock Freddy awoke to find himself back in his room in Rockstar Row. The robo-bear stood, staring himself in the mirror. "Showtime, already? I am experiencing a malfunction. The recharge cycle is not complete." Freddy said to himself.
"Shh! Will you shut up?!" A voice said, slightly startling Freddy. "Who said that?" he asked, "I did. Down here!" The voice said, Freddy surmised that he was hearing a child's voice. "Down where? I still do not see you." Freddy said, unsure of where the child's voice was coming from. "Okay, listen. You were sleeping, so I opened the stomach hatch and climbed inside." The voice said. "My…stomach-hatch. That place is reserved for oversized birthday cakes and piñatas! It is NOT a safe play area." Freddy sounded concerned. What was this child thinking? "Okay, okay! I'm climbing out." The child said. A young boy in a blue t-shirt hopped out of Freddy's stomach hatch. "There you are!" Freddy put his hands on the boy's shoulders as he scan him with a blue light. "Scan complete. How odd. Your guest profile is unknown to me…Who are you?" Freddy asked.
The boy looked a little scared, "I-I'm Gregory." Freddy registered the name, "I will notify the main office." Freddy tried to call the main office, but his signal was cut off. "Huh…Connection error. I am unable to connect to the main network." Freddy said, Gregory looked over, seeing a faint light. "It's her! She cut you off. She's not going to let you call for help until she find me." Gregory explained. "Who? Who is searching for you? Your mother?" Freddy asked, unsure of why the boy was so afraid.
Gregory put his finger up to his mouth. "Shh, I hear footsteps." Gregory looked at through the red curtain covered window. Gregory and Freddy could see that a young woman, wearing a uniform a holding a flashlight was walking by. "That is the security guard. She can help." Freddy suggested, "No, no! I don't trust her!" Gregory said, anxiously. "Why not?" Freddy asked, "I don't know who she is, but she's trying to get me! Also, isn't there some was for you to communicate besides talking so loudly?!" Gregory said, reverting back to the angrier side he showed before.
Freddy thought of another suggestion, pulling out a present. "Take this. It is a novelty Freddy-Fazwatch." Freddy said, Gregory pulled the watch out of the present box and put it on his wrist. The boy jumped when he heard a beeping noise. "Wh-What was that?!" Gregory asked, anxiously. "I am sending you an encoded message." Freddy said, pointing to the watch.
Gregory looked at the screen on the tablet, "Hello, Gregory! It is me, Freddy! I will escort you to the main entrance. However, I am unable to leave this room. You should have no problem. There is a button on the wall that will open the door to the back room. I will make it accessible to you now." Freddy's voice was coded into the Fazwatch. Freddy then explained Gregory would need to get out and open the door from outside and the best way is too crawl through a vent. "All right then, now be careful, Gregory." Freddy said. "O-Okay, then." Gregory stuttered, then entering into the back room.
(Meanwhile)
Bonnie and Sammy had barely made it past security to get to Rockstar Row. They were currently making their ways through the halls. "Kid, come on out! I saw you come through here!" A voice said. Bonnie and Sammy hid when they heard the voice. "Papa, who's that?" Sammy asked, "I'm not sure, kiddo." Bonnie looked over from where he was hiding. It was a security guard, one the robo-rabbit had never seen before. "I don't remember her, she might be a new employee…" he said, before seeing that she was going into the utility tunnels. "Okay, we won't have to worry about that for a little bit." Bonnie said, "Okay, stay close, rascal." Bonnie said.
They heard an automated voice over a speaker, "Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for visiting and we hope you enjoyed the show! Freddy and the gang are pretty tired, but they'll be back again after a few days of scheduled maintenance." Bonnie was weirded out by that comment, "Hmm…I guess Asher's gonna be back tomorrow?" Bonnie still wondered why Asher never responded. "Please make your way to the front of the building where you be given novelty glasses, a voucher for one free soda refill, and where you will sign a legal disclaimer releasing us of all liability for anything that might have happened during your visit." The voice concluded with a farewell.
The two had finally made it to Rockstar Row, when they both heard another new voice. "The stupid door won't open." It sounded like another child. "Oh? You are going to need a Photo Pass to open the door. Apologies, I assumed you had one already…Well, you should be able to find one at a convenience counter." Bonnie heard Freddy's voice nearby. "Okay, I'm going." The dad & son duo looked on as a boy wearing blue walked toward them. The boy jumped and gasped, afraid. The two jumped in surprise, "A-Aah! What-Bonnie?!" The boy asked.
"That's my name, don't wear it out." Bonnie joked, "Glad I haven't been completely forgotten, at least."
Gregory looked at Sammy that was next to the blue animatronic bunny. "Hi, I'm Sammy!" He said, "H-Hi…My name's Gregory?" The boy phrased it like a question, wondering what was going on. "Gregory…Wait a sec! You're Cassie's friend!" Sammy said, "Whoa, slow down, you know Cassie? How?" Gregory asked.
"She's my cousin!" Sammy said, excitedly. Gregory looked a little weirded out, Bonnie WASN'T decommissioned like people said he was, and Cassie has a cousin? How come this is the first time he's seeing him?
"Anyways, Gregory what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at the front with your parents?" Bonnie asked, "Well, I could ask Sammy the same thing." Gregory said, Bonnie just tried to hold in a chuckle. "Yeah, got me there."Sammy looked at his father, "Papa, what are you laughing for?" he asked, "Sorry, rascal! Haha!" Bonnie laughed.
Gregory looked confused, did Sammy just call the ROBOT "Papa"? The boy shook his head in annoyance, "Look, I don't have the time or patience for whatever your story is. If you're not going to hurt me, get outta my way, I gotta get a Photo Pass." Gregory said, deciding to stay on task.
"Oh, right. We'll go with you, then. I wanted to check on Freddy before me and Sammy left for home." Bonnie said, "Uh…sure." Gregory was more baffled by these two. They went to the convenience counter. Gregory looked around and found a free Photo Pass at a cardboard cutout of Freddy.
"Okay, I got it, Freddy!" Gregory said to his Fazwatch. "Good job. Now please come let me out." Freddy said. "On my way." Gregory said, "Hey, buddy! How've you been?" Bonnie tried to shout. "That voice…It…It cannot be." Freddy stuttered, he couldn't believe who he was hearing. "It might be? Or maybe not?" Bonnie joked, too impatient to see his best friend. "I'm just messing with ya, Freddy. I'll see ya in a bit!" Bonnie said, "Come on, boys." Bonnie and the boys walked back into Rockstar Row.
Gregory opened the door, thanks to access with the Photo Pass. "Way to go, superstar! I knew you could do it!" Freddy said, almost like a proud dad. Gregory took a bit of a deep breath, Freddy then looked up at someone he'd never thought he'd see again. "Haha, I uh…would've said hi earlier, but y'know…you passed out before the show started." Bonnie joked, "Bonnie!" Freddy hugged his best friend, which startled the robo-rabbit.
Bonnie hugged back, happy to see his best friend, "But how are you here? The technicians told us that you were decommissioned!" Freddy said, confused. "Wait, what?! That's what they told you guys?" Bonnie asked, a bit heartbroken. "Whatever. Anyways, I'm fine. Oh! And this is Sammy, my son." Bonnie gently pushed Sammy up. "Your…son?" Freddy asked, confused. "Bonnie, is this one of your pranks again?" Freddy asked, folding his arms, "Nuh-uh! Papa hates pranks, he tells me not to prank Uncle Asher when he comes over." Sammy explained, "Bonnie hating pranks. That is normally incorrect. Either way, it is nice to meet you, Sammy." Freddy said, "Nice to meet you, too, Uncle Freddy!" Sammy said, cheerfully.
"Let's focus here, I'm trying to get outta here and who knows what'll happen to this kid if he's caught in here, too." Gregory said.
"Gregory is right. I know a way we can get you out of here, superstar. Climb back into my chest cavity. There is still time, but we must hurry. If I am spotted, I will certainly be taken back to my room. Freddy said, explaining that their best bet right now is go through the utility tunnels. What confused Bonnie about that plan was Freddy having Gregory climb into his chest cavity. "Freddy, you're sure that's a good idea?" Bonnie asked, "It's the best way to stay out of sight. Freddy, just move slowly and be careful. I don't want to be crushed and turned into a meat pretzel." Gregory said, climbing back in. Bonnie, not wanting to put Sammy in his chest cavity, picked up his son, "Yeah, since I'm not doing that. I'll just carry my kiddo." Bonnie said, "All right then, let's get out of here." Gregory said, being pushy.
(In the Utility Tunnels)
"So, how've things been going with you and the band?" Bonnie asked, "We have been doing alright with each performance, I believe." Freddy explained, "However, we have missed you being part of the band. Roxy, especially." Bonnie looked a little down, "Yeah, guess I missed few dates here and there. Still…I can't stay, Freddy. I got this rascal to take care of." Bonnie explained. Sammy looked a little upset, "Elaborate, please?" Freddy asked, "Fine. I won't point fingers, but a tech helped me get out of here when he finished repairs." Bonnie said, pointing a finger at Freddy. Freddy shut his eyes, he sighed in mild annoyance, "You just said you would not be pointing fingers." Freddy said, "Oh yeah, my mistake." Bonnie said, joking. "Anyways, about 8 months after that, I've became the Proud Pop to this little rascal!" Bonnie brushed Sammy's head, making the boy giggle.
"I see. That is…an unusual situation, I think?" Freddy asked, "Well, I am happy to be an uncle, then. Do you have anything you like to do for fun, Sammy?" Sammy perked up. "I love to play music and video games! My favorite instrument is an ocarina!" Sammy said, "When he turns ten, he'll want to learn to play guitar, too." Bonnie explained.
"Hello? Little boy? If you're down here, say something!" A voice shouted, disrupting the conversation, "Freddy, she's down here! We have to go back." Gregory was panicking.
"Do not worry, Gregory. Even if we are spotted, you are safe with me. She would never suspect we are traveling together. However, we should still do our best to try and avoid her." Freddy finished his explanation with a notice that if he was spotted, he would be sent back to his room.
"So, who's the new security guard? Don't think I've ever seen her before." Bonnie asked, walking down the last flight of stairs.
"That is…" Freddy paused and put his hand on his chest. "Gregory…I feel you are injured." he said, "D-Don't worry about it, I'm fine." Gregory said, trying to stay. "No, I feel that something is wrong. I am taking you to the first aid station." Freddy said, already running to the nearest first aid station. "There's no time, I'm fine!" Gregory said.
"Here, I'll help!" Bonnie ran ahead. They got to the first aid station, Bonnie put Sammy down. The two of them could see that Gregory had a scar on his cheek. "Sheesh, kiddo! Where'd you get that?" Bonnie asked. "Sammy, grab that little pack right there and pull out that bottle and a band-aid." Bonnie said, Sammy picking up the first aid kit, he pulled out a bottle of sprayable peroxide and a band-aid. "This'll sting for a sec, Gregory." Bonnie said, Gregory grunted when it was sprayed. "Okay, now the band-aid." Bonnie said, "I'd offer a lollipop, but they don't carry them in these little stations." Gregory looked annoyed at the sentence.
"Okay, let's hurry and—" Gregory gasped, hearing footsteps. "Sammy, hide!" Gregory whispered, closing the curtain slightly. Bonnie quickly ran behind the wall.
There was the security guard. "Freddy! You're supposed to be on lockdown!" she shouted at him, "O-Officer Vanessa. I-I do not know how I got here." Freddy lied, hoping that she would buy it. "Well, you totally blew it tonight, you know. Your system crashed and you ruined the show. Now, Parts and Services has you on reduced power. They say it's a safety precaution. Just ONE more thing to deal with…" Vanessa said, rudely. She was clearly annoyed that she had to do more work, "I…apologize." Freddy apologized, feeling ashamed. "Ok…look. We're like five minutes from closing and some kid is sneaking around backstage. If you see something, notify me immediately." Vanessa ordered, even explaining that she alerted the others. "Now go back to your room." She then ordered, walking up a flight of stairs nearby. The four of them waited a few minutes before moving back out. "I told you she was after me." Gregory said, "I said nothing. I will keep you safe. Let us go." Freddy said. "Seems kinda weird that you're running from a security guard, kiddo." Bonnie said, noting Gregory's untrustworthiness of the security guard. "Says the rogue robot and his kid." Gregory said. "Y'know what? Fair point." Bonnie said, "Okay, let get going." Sammy walked out, Freddy looked a little confused. "Sammy? Where did you acquire that mask?" Sammy was wearing his Teal Mask, "I took it out of my bag, I thought if she saw me, it would scare her off." Sammy explained. Gregory just sighed, "Yeah, that…wouldn't have worked, dude. Let's just hurry and go."
Gregory hopped back into Freddy's chest cavity. Freddy and Bonnie started walking through the tunnels. "So, where are we?" Gregory asked, wondering which part of the tunnels they were at, "We are now under the Pizzaplex. These utility tunnels connect all the attractions." Sammy eyes lit up, "We can go anywhere in the building?" the young boy asked, "Correct, Sammy. Fazer-Blast, Monty Golf, Roxy Raceway, they are all accessible to S.T.A.F.F.—with high enough clearance of course. Guests are never allowed down here, but this is a…special situation." Freddy explained, Bonnie knew what his son was thinking when he asked that. "Don't even ask, rascal. We're not taking any detours." Bonnie said. "I know…" Sammy said, still wanting to check out some of the places out.
Freddy smiled, sort of enjoying the exchange. But Freddy realized one thing, his battery was down to 20%. The robo-bear started feeling weak. "Gregory, you need to leave for a moment." Freddy said, Gregory jumped out of Freddy's chest cavity. "I am terribly sorry. The recharge cycle was not yet complete when I found you. Bonnie, what is your battery at?" Freddy asked his friend, "Hmm, it shows I'm down to 20% currently, too…" Bonnie looked concerned, he didn't want the boys wandering off on their own, but he realized that he'd be no good if he passed out by drained battery.
"Sammy, I want you to go with Gregory further, okay? He'll be in charge." Sammy just nodded, "Okay, Papa." Sammy said.
"Gregory, I will continue to guide you on your Fazwatch." Freddy ran into the recharge station. "B-But I don't know if the two of us can do this alone." Gregory said, "Don't panic, okay. Just stay calm, and stay out of sight." Bonnie said, "We'll be right behind you."
Gregory took a deep breath, "A-Alright, Sammy, let's go."Sammy looked a little scared, with how Gregory was acting. "O-Okay."
The two boys walked through the double doors, to continue on their way out. "We'll hide in case someone's nearby and meet somewhere out of the tunnels with Freddy and Bonnie." Gregory said, Sammy looked around at the hallway for any doors, they started to hear something. Like someone was nearby. They were voraciously eating their food, "What's that?" Sammy asked, Gregory opened the nearby restroom door. It looked like they found the source. Gregory felt anxious, "It's Chica!" Sammy looked over, and pointed, "Look, over here!" Sammy ran, and knocked over some nearby paint cans, running back to Gregory's side, they heard faux-bawking. When Gregory opened the door, Chica left her spot to check out where the noise was. "Is someone down here?" She asked, curiously. Gregory and Sammy stay quiet, waiting until she left. "I should get back to finding the boy." Chica said, returning to her ordered search. The boys waited until they could stop hearing her rampant stomps.
"Okay, she's gone." Gregory whispered, "Good. Weird, Papa never mentioned Aunt Chica eats garbage…How can she even…" Sammy questioned how a robot could even eat. "It doesn't matter. Anyways, let's keep going."The boys continued to run through, keeping stealthy between doors and halls.
The final room they made it to was a pipeline area, pipes were all over the wall, seeing steam coming from a locked gate nearby. "Okay, we should be close to—" Gregory whispered, before they heard a loud roaring noise.
"There you are! There's another one here, too!" Montgomery Gator shouted, breaking down the gate!Gregory grabbed Sammy's hand and ran through the pipeline. "Come on!" Gregory shouted, the boys panting to get through!
Making it to the end of the hall, their current troubles doubled. "Are you lost?" Roxanne Wolf appeared on the left. "Go, right! Right!" Sammy shouted, Gregory was panting, before seeing the third obstacle. "Lost boys over here!" Chica said, running through some boxes. The boys almost tripped, trying to avoid Monty, Roxy & Chica.
Gregory and Sammy were terrified out of their lives, and beginning to tire themselves out from running. They ran above to the stair wells, "There! Hide in there!" Gregory said, they both ran into a security office. The door closed behind them, but the animatronics were still there.
(And that's where we'll end things off for now. Sorry to keep ya in suspense, and I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! I will say this, by now, most of us know Gregory's story is complicated. But I'll try to handle what we did get and see how it goes. So, stay strong and awesome! Jesus has washed our feet, so we ought to wash each others)
