*May 9th, 1941*

*7 days until festival*

It was officially one week until the festival as Charlotte was walking towards the orphanage in which Mary was currently living at, in hopes of inviting her.

"I hope Mrs Harriosn is able to allow Mary to go to the festival, I really want her to meet my other wonderful friends" Charlotte had spoken to herself as she eventually made it to her destination as she saw Mary waiting in front of the entrance.

"Good Afternoon, How have things been going for you, my good friend" Mary had greeted Charlotte with a smile on her face as she waited for a response.

"I've been doing good, It's great to see you as well. I don't have much time but I was wondering if you're able to come to this rather fun festival with me. It's gonna be in seven days which falls on a friday" Charlotte had asked her friend as this brought great interest to Mary as she thought about her answer before eventually opening her mouth.

"I would love to join since I have nothing better to do but the only issue is getting Mrs Harrison's permission since she usually doesn't allow me to be out all day with complete strangers but you are my friend so I hope she's a little bit more understanding" Mary had spoken back as her words made Charlotte jump with joy in which made Mary raise an eyebrow.

"Wonderful! We can just convince her to allow you to go and besides, My friends are some of the kindest people that I've ever met so you will definitely be safe" Charlotte had advised Mary in a tone of joy as this was met with Mary nodding her head in agreement.

"I'm glad to hear that but Mrs Harrison is a little strict at times but I can convince her that you and your mother are gonna pick me up and hopefully that could convince her" Mary had spoken back to Charlotte as she was met with a nod of agreement from her friend.

"I hope so as well but let's head inside to see if Mrs Harrison can accept the offer but if not, I'll find out something else that we could do together in replacement of the festival" Charlotte had advised to her friend as the girls eventually entered the orphanage as they saw Mrs Harrison sitting in her office from the other side of the room.

"Is she busy? I don't wanna disturb her but we could come back to this tomorrow or something" Charlotte had asked Mary as her question was met with the young girl shaking her head in denial.

"Nope, she usually likes to be in her office for peace and quiet but we can still ask her about the festival stuff" Mary had answered back as this brought a smile to Charlotte's face as she was ready to confront Mrs Harrison.

"Nice! I hope that Mrs Harrison is able to let you join cause I know for a fact that you're gonna have plenty of fun" Charlotte had spoken to Mary in an excited tone of voice as she and Mary made their way to the entrance of the office as they began to gently knock on the door.

"Please come in…" Mrs Harrison had responded to the sound as she heard the door open to reveal Charlotte and Mary in which piqued her interest as she had a smile on her face.

"Oh my, It's you! I see you brought your friend along as well. What seems to be the trouble?" Mrs Harrison had spoken to the two girls in a tone of curiosity as she saw Charlotte and Nancy sitting down across from her while she waited for her answer.

"Good Afternoon, Mrs Harrison, I was wondering if Mary could come to the festival located at Jackson Private Academy which is in seven days. The event is the whole day but I'm sure Mary is gonna have plenty of fun and don't worry! My mother is gonna provide transportation as well" Charlotte had asked Mrs Harrison as this stack of information made the woman think for a few seconds.

"I hope she says yes…" Mary had thought to herself in sheer anticipation as she waited for a good response as she saw her caretaker opening her mouth.

"Interesting, I believe I heard about this festival but, My answer is yes BUT Mary must be watched over at ALL times by you, Charlotte! I refuse to allow any of my wonderful orphans to go missing so do you think you can handle this responsibly?" Mrs Harrison had asked Charlotte as her answer brought smiles of joy to the two girl's faces as they squealed with joy.

"R-Really?! I could go with Charlotte!? Thank you so much!" Mary had cried out in joy as she quickly jumped up and down in sheer excitement before quickly sitting back down as this brought smiles to the faces of Charlotte and Mrs Harriosn.

"Thank you so much, I'm glad that Mary is able to come and my mother will bring you back at a reasonable time so you won't have to worry about a single thing" Charlotte had advised Mrs Harrison as she was met with a nod of agreement from the woman.

"You both are truly welcome, I know Mary hasn't had any friends so I'm glad that she's able to get out of the house and have some fun once in a while but Thank you once again for being Mary's friend, Charlotte" Mrs Harrion had spoken to the young girl in a gentle tone of voice as she was met with Charlotte and Mary smiling back at her.

"You're welcome, I'm glad that we had this conversation today but I should be heading out since it's getting late but I honestly had a great small talk with you but I'll be seeing you again!" Charlotte had spoken to Miss Harrison with a smile on her face as she waved farewell to the kind woman while she got up from her seat to give Mary a small hug from her neck.

"And I'll be seeing you once the festival begins but I'll try to visit you beforehand, my good friend" Charlotte had spoken once more but towards Mary as she was ready to depart from the building.

"Have a wonderful evening! I'll see you soon, Be safe!" Mary had cried out to Charlotte in a happy tone of voice as she and Mrs Harrison waved farewell to the young girl as they saw her exit the office building.

"What a nice kid…" Mrs Harriosn thought to herself as she let out a smile while looking over to see Charlotte walking out of the orphanage.

"I'm glad I was able to convince Mrs Harrison to invite Mary to the festival and she doesn't have many friends but I'm glad that I'm able to make things just a little better for my good friend…" Charlotte had spoken to herself as she let out another smile in full victory knowing that Mary was gonna have a blessful time at the festival.
