*Highlands High School*
Most of the school was sitting on the football field while awaiting fot their new principal to speak while Anya was talking to Charlotte.
"It's sad that Principal Morton quit his job but I heard that the new principal is a rather interesting character but apparently he was strict before taking a trip to Hawaii and he's just weird now" Anya had spoken to her friend while Charlotte nodded her head in agreement.
"I just hope that he doesn't enforce any strict new rules or anything but I have a feeling that might just be the case" Charlotte had spoken back in agreement as there was a huge tap on the microphone as the girl who was one of the top students in the school.
"Good Morning everyone, My name is Greta Johnson and It's an honor to speak for everyone in Highlands High School on this beautiful day but without further ado, Please welcome, Principal Sheldon!" Greta (a young 16 year old girl with pigtail loop braids as the color was brown) had spoken to the school in a happy tone of voice as she and everyone else waited for the new principal to enter which felt like forever.
"Good Morning, my fellow students! It's a pleasure to meet everyone here on this beautiful day!" Principal Sheldon had spoken out while playing his ukulele as the curtains slowly revealed his presence much to the surprise of everyone else.
"It's quite an honor to meet you, You will truly enjoy this school and the students since they're ever so well behaved" Greta had spoken to the principal in with a confident smile and tone of voice which made him happy.
"That brings a smile to my face to hear Greta say such wonderful things about everyone. I hope that I can provide a safe and healthy environment in this school and to celebrate this occasion. I shall perform a song for everybody!" Principal Sheldon had spoken to Greta and the rest of the classmates at the assembly as he did just that much to the annoyance of a few students.
*12:24pm*
Two hours had passed as Anya, Charlotte, and Russell were chatting away about the new principal while eating their lunches.
"That new principal sure is something else but I can tell he's a rather nice fellow but just odd" Russell had spoken out to his friends while the two girls nodded their heads in agreement.
"I agree, It also seems like he's rather laid back since he didn't impose any strict rules or anything so I guess we also lucked in that situation" Anya had spoken back which was followed by her chuckling to herself as she looked over to see Greta and Principal Sheldon approaching the which made her raise an eyebrow in curiosity as the pair had gotten closer to their table while Charlotte began to speak to the pair.
"Good Afternoon, How could we help you two?" Charlotte had asked the pair in a polite tone of voice as she waited for her answer.
"Hello everybody! You three must be wondering why I'm approaching you guys, right? Well, I need help in finding something that's been in my family for years that's locked inside of a time capsule. I buried it somewhere in these school grounds almost thirty years years ago so It would mean so much if you three were able to find it!" Principal Sheldon had spoken out to the trio while playing with his ukulele.
"I'm also in charge of grading your classes as well meaning that I would give you three extra credits once yall are done with the task" Greta had spoken out as well as Anya and her friends nodded their heads in agreement.
"Doesn't sound too bad and we'll find the time capsule and It's somewhere in the school, right?" Anya had questioned as Principal Sheldon nodded his head in agreement.
"Correct, I wish you three the best of luck and if you guys find it than maybe I should perform a song of celebration!" Principal Sheldon had spoken out in a joyful tone of voice while Greta smiled at his comments before speaking.
"Principal Sheldon, May I assist Anya and her friends on their assignment? I would prove to be quite the help for them.." Greta had asked her superior as she looked up to see the joyful man nodded his head in approval which made her smile.
"Of course! You are the top student after all so It would be helpful to them but let's not waste time, shall we? Go forth and find my time capsule!" Principal Sheldon had answered back as he motioned his hand to his front direction as Anya, Greta, and the others proceeded with the assignment as they walked across the track and field.
"So, where's the others at? It's usually a big group but it seems like it's awfully small today" Greta had asked the trio in a tone of curiosity as Russell began to speak.
"Emma and the others are doing something with their home rec teacher so they won't be able to join us during lunch unfortunately" Russell had answered back as Greta nodded her head in understandment.
"I see, well, I hope that you guys are able to hang out together tomorrow but I wonder what's inside of that time capsule that was so important to him" Greta had spoken back as she thought about what could be in the capsule while Charlotte gave some ideas as they were searching for it.
"Well, It could be a letter that he wrote for himself or maybe something that was valuable to him and he wanted to keep it in a safe place but that's mostly my guess" Charlotte had answered back as she felt something hard on her shoes which prompted her to look down and before she knew it, She found the time capsule which was stealthily hidden in plain sight.
"G-Guys! I think I found it!" Charlotte had cried out in joy which prompted Anya and the others to quickly walk towards her direction.
"Already? That was fast but let's take it back to the principal so he could verify if it's the capsule or not" Anya had advised Charlotte and the others as they quickly ran to Principal Sheldon who was relaxing on a chair while sipping on some lemonade.
"P-Principal Sheldon! I believe we've found the capsule but we just wanted to make sure if it's the one that you are looking for '' Greta had spoken out in between breaths as she handed him the capsule which was quite small as the principal observed it closely.
"Hmm, I don't remember it being this small but…" Principal Sheldon muttered to himself as he closely inspected the capsule and eventually noticed initials which quickly made him remember that it was in fact his.
"Is it the correct one?" Anya simply uttered out as her answer was quickly answered by him happily nodding his head much to the relief of the four.
"Yes indeed! I remember burying this way back in 1911. I was just fifteen years old when I wrote a letter to my future self!" Principal Sheldon had answered back while opening the capsule to reveal the letter.
"A letter to yourself? That's wonderful, Mind if we hear the contents if that's okay with you?" Charlotte had asked the principal as her answer was met with a nod from him.
"Of course..IN THE NEXT ASSEMBLY! I want every in the school to hear this letter but thanks for the help and I'll be sure to reward you three in the future!" Principal Sheldon had answered back while laughing to himself before gathering his chair to leave the scene while the four kids watched.
"Well, I should be going as well but it was rather nice getting to know you three but I hope we can hang out some other time and don't worry, I'll give you three the extra credit as well." Greta had spoken out as she waved the three goodbye before turning around to leave the scene.
"See ya, It was pleasant hanging around with you!" Russell had uttered out while waving goodbye to her.
"It was wonderful chatting with you as well and I hope that we can do this again as well" Charlotte had chimed in as she and Russell waved Greta goodbye.
"Same to you, I hope that you have a wonderful day as well, Greta!" Anya had spoken out as she let out a smile knowing that she was satisfied with being able to help people whenever the time comes.
