(Eraser Battle!)
*October 20th, 1941*

It was a warm yet cold afternoon as Anya, Nancy, and Mai were studying for one of their exams as one of their classmates had presented a game to everyone.
"Attention everyone! While we pass time here, I'd figured we all play a simple yet fun game together if everyone is up for it" The classmate had spoken out as a few people declined but offered to watch while some volunteered to join including Anya, Nancy, and Mai.
"Sure, how do we play the game, Martin? I hope it will provide us with some entertainment during this study hour" Anya had asked Martin in a tone of curiosity while waiting for the explanation about the game.
"It's pretty easy, you place the eraser on the desk, right? Then you use your finger and thumb to flick it with all of your might and the goal is to see who can launch it to the chalkboard, does that sound fair?" Martin had explained as this was met with Anya and the others smiling with curiosity as they were eager to play the game.
"Sounds quite intriguing, I might have to participate in the game once everyone has their fair share" Mai had spoken out to Martin as the students who wanted to play began to form a small yet lively line as this made Martin smile.
"Alright, first up is Greta and Steve!" Martin had cried out as he saw Greta and Steve walking towards the desk while Marin placed two erasers on the desk.
"Remember, it's either hitting the chalkboard or at least who can flick the eraser the farthest" Martin had spoken out once more as he and the rest of the class backed away to give Greta and Steve space.
"There's no way I'm gonna get beaten by a girl like you! I'm gonna show you and the class that boys are superior in all shapes and forms!" Steve had cried out to Greta in a tone of joy.
Steve used his fingers to flick the eraser with great strength as the object was sent flying across the room with great speed; however, the eraser only managed to land close yet not enough to secure his victory until Greta had her turn.
"Go Greta! You can do it. Show him how we do business!" Nancy cried out to her friend in hopes of motivating her as she and some of the other classmates cheered her on.
"Alright, don't listen to Steve's words, just remain calm and focus on your target!" Greta had thought to herself.
Greta focused all of her energy into the eraser as she eventually flicked the eraser with such force as the object dashed forward until it hitted the chalkboard thus cementing Greta's victory as the class erupted in cheers and claps of praises.
"Wooow! You did it! I know you could beat Steve in his own game!" Anya had spoken to Greta with a smile on her face while giving her friend a high five.
"Thanks and this type of game seems fun, you three should definitely try" Greta had spoken back to Anya and even including Mai and Nancy as well while Martin began to call upon the next participants as he picked up the two erasers before placing them in the desk once more.
"I wonder who he's gonna call next, it seems quite random but I'm assuming Greta might go again since she has won the first world against Steve" Mai had spoken to her friends in a tone of curiosity while Anya and Nancy nodded their heads as Martin began to call on the next group of people.
"Next up is Joseph and Wanda!" Steve cried out as those names were rather familiar to Anya since they were the same people whom she played dodgeball against earlier that year.
"Oh wow, it's Joseph and Wanda, we've played dodgeball with them before the year was over, however we lost that game unfortunately.." Anya had spoken out while Nancy and Mai were surprised at what they had seen as well as Nancy began to speak.
"If you, me, or Mai had to face Joseph then that would be quite fun since Joseph always wants to beat you in every competition which I find hilarious" Nancy had spoken out to her friends as the trio continued to watch the upcoming game between Joseph and Wanda.
"Friend against friend, huh? I'm sorry it had to come down to this however It seems that victory shall shine upon ME!" Joseph had cried out to his friend in a tone of confidence.
Joseph had brought his arm back a few inches as he proceeded to slide his fingers on the desk with great speed before eventually successfully hitting the eraser with great force as the object dashed across the classroom and hitted the chalkboard which was met with applause from those who supported him including Wanda.
"W-Whoa! Those football practices sure did come in handy so I must concede for the sake of my friend…" Wanda had spoken out in surprise as she saw Joseph giving his classmates high fives while she had a smile on her face as she turned around to see her friend talking to Anya.
"Anya, you better win those matches so you can face me in the finale, okay?" Joseph had advised his rival in a confident tone of voice while Anya gave him a smug smile.
"You know I won't go down that easily so don't get too comfortable!" Anya had advised Joseph as well while Martin began to call on the next two students.
"Alright, I believe the next two opponents are Nancy and Mai so let's have our ladies step right up into the center!" Martin cried out in joy as this caught both girls by surprise as they had to face each other.
"W-Whoa! I can't believe I have to face Nancy on my first turn.." Mai had spoken out in surprise as she looked over to her side to see Nancy having a confident smile.
"Hey, whoever wins or loses just knows that it's the effort that counts so don't hold back on me cause I'm your friend" Nancy advised Mai while the young girl nodded her head in agreement as both girls sat on the desk to prepare themselves for the upcoming match as Martin placed the same two erasers on his desk.
"Go Mai! You can do this! Don't end like me and forfeit the game because your friend was better than you, just do your best!" Wanda cheered Mai as other people began to cheer for Mai while others of course, cheered for Nancy while Anya cheered for both.
"You guys can do this! Both of you guys are winners in my book so just play against each other to the fullest" Anya had cheered out to her friend as both girls were ready to play their match.
"Alright, just remain calm and focus on the chalkboard…" Mai had quietly spoken to herself.
Mai had quickly used her fingers to flick the eraser as it was sent flying across the room, however despite its distance, it failed to hit the chalkboard but despite that, Anya, Nancy, and the rest of their classmates still cheered her on which made her happy.
"Good job! You did amazing!" Anya had cheered Mai on while Nancy was the next one to flick the eraser as the girl was full of confidence.
"Good job Mai, I know you had it in you, however, let's see if you can keep up with your friend!" Nancy had spoken out to Mai in a confident tone of voice.
Nancy quickly used her fingers to flick the eraser with great force and speed as the object dashed across the classroom as it successfully managed to hit the chalkboard thus securing Nancy's victory as Mai and the other classmates cheered her on.
"You did great! That was one powerful serve, good luck on your other matches" Mai had congratulated Nancy as both girls gave each other high fives.
The next few minutes of study time were filled with fun as many classmates participated in the event as the final match of the day was Anya and Joseph which was rather anticipated as everyone watched with great interest.
"Anya, I know your still recovering from the dodgeball loss so I'll just make sure that I'll go easy on you, that is if you want me too" Joseph had teased Anya in a playful tone of voice as this only made Anya smile confidently as she was ensured that her victory was possible.
"Nope, I want you to put all your effort into it unless you want to be beaten by a girl than be my guess" Anya had clapped back in a playful tone of voice as this made Joseph chuckle at Anya as he was ready to begin the game.
"Victory shalll beee minne!" Joseph cried out in full confidence as he used his fingers to flick the eraser with such force that the object dashed across the classroom as the eraser didn't hit the chalkboard; however, it was close enough that it was just a few inches away from the chalkboard.
"Ooooh! If Anya doesn't hit the chalkboard which she has to then Joseph wins the entire game overwall while Anya loses!" Martin had cried out in excitement as some classmates erupted in applause and cheers for Joseph while the others including Nancy, Greta, and Mai cheered for Anya as it was clear that things were heating up.
"I gotta ensure that the eraser gets to the chalkboard or else I'm gonna lose to Joseph! Just gotta remain calm and just not allow this to discourage me.." Anya had thought to herself as she had taken a few deep breaths.
Anya had eventually used her fingers to flick the eraser with all of her might as the object was sent flying across the classroom as everyone watched with sheer intensity as in the end, the eraser had succeeded in hitting the chalkboard which caused the class to erupt in cheers and praises.
"Anya, you did it! You've beat Joseph!" Mai had cried out in joy as she gave her friend a hug while Nancy patted her on the back.
"Annnd with that, Anya is the winner of the eraser battle! Thank you to all who participated and gave support to those who joined!" Marin had cried out in joy as he looked over to see Anya, Nancy, and Mai celebrating with a few classmates as this made him smile.
"Hey, you did pretty good. It seems that our rivalry will always continue since it's clear that the both of us will never call it quits, it seems" Joseph had spoken out to Anya as the pair gave each other a handshake in a sign of respect as Anya smiled back at him.
"Thanks, I can say the same for you as well and you better not dare consider going easy on me, okay? I want you to always try your best!" Anya had advised Joseph while he nodded his head in agreement.
"Of course! I'm not gonna give up that easily!" Joseph had spoken back as today proved that Anya and Joseph's rivalry was not something out of bitterness but rather something out of what seems to be a potential friendship and a sigh of respect towards one another.
