"It's okay." Her eyes are on Masie. "I mean, she's mine, so of course I want to hold her. I think I just need some time to wrap my head around it all."

"Oh." I perk up.

It gives me hope.

"Do you remember anything about your pregnancy?"

She shakes her head, still admiring our beautiful daughter.
