"Look at her," I say, tapping Bella on the arm.
Masie's gone from rolling her way across her blanket to trying to scoot on her belly.
Bella laughs. "I told you yesterday that she was trying."
"But I didn't see." I move to the floor and shake her rattler. "Come to Daddy, baby girl. I got your monkey."
She giggles as she does the worm, bringing her a little closer.
My eyes burn.
I blink it away.
She's no longer our newborn baby.
It makes me proud.
Yet breaks my heart.
"She'll be walking in a blink," I say, sighing.
