Gamer of Action44D - You do recall we're only 3 (now 4) chapters deep into the story, right? Give them (and me) time, all ow them to grow and show what they're worth. Peter's the only one with powers, and I haven't have the time to dive into their relationships. The first few were just setting them up and giving him a mission. Nows when we start to dive into balancing personal life and superheroing.

The next day after the fight with the Sandman, Peter saw after his suit was finally washed, at least in the process of being washed. Once that was over, he was going to begin looking into how he gained his powers. And also, with the party happening tonight, most of his friends would be getting ready for that.

But with it being the weekend, school is closed for two days, Peter decided now would be a good time to take a break from Spider-Man.

Walking down the stairs from his bedroom, Peter walked over to the kitchen and saw everyone was already awake and May was finishing baking breakfast.

"Morning, guys," Peter said as he walked over and sneaked up on Peni before ticking her.

"Hey!" Peni cried as she laughed and tried to fight off Peter. "Stop!"

"Morning, sleepyhead." May greeted Peter. "So, what's the plan for you guys?"

"Well, it's our day off. So, how about we all go out together?" Teresa asked May. "Just the four of us."

"Sounds fun," May said but then jumped. "Oh, wait. I promised Martin that I'd help him out in FEAST if we didn't have anything going on."

"Aw." Peni sounded disappointed but Peter was there to help.

"The three of us can still go." Peter guessed and turned to May. "You can meet up later if you have the chance."

"That sounds good." May supposed and looked to the other girls to see how they feel.

"I'm okay with that." Teresa guessed it's a good plan of any. "But we need to get back early since I need to meet up with Honey Lemon to get ready for the Halloween party tonight."

"Sweet," Peni said with a smile.

After everything got sorted out with what they were going to do, the Parker siblings walked through the mall for a bit of browsing and to get some lunch.

"This feels nice," Peter said as the three of them sat down for lunch. "It's been a while since the three of us have just hanged out."

"Yeah, it really has." Teresa agreed with him. "It's nice."

As the conversation started to get laggy, Peni decided to share some news with them.

"So...my school is taking a trip to Oscorp soon," Peni told her older siblings.

"Oh, really?" Peter asked, surprised to hear this.

"Yeah," Peni confirmed with a smile.

"Wow. Remember that trip, Peter?" Teresa asked, remembering when the two of them went on that trip.

Peter had immediate flashbacks to having gone on that trip. The excitement. The experiment. The spider. The day that changed everything.

That day was a lot to Peter. It was the worst day of his life that led to the death of his uncle. It was the day that created him who he is and allowed him to protect the people of this world. The day that gave birth to Spider-Man.

"Hard to forget." Peter decided to say as he goes to take a bite of his hotdog.

But just then...his senses went off. Slowly putting the dog down, he started to look around and wondered what was causing them to go off. But then he noticed there was a hooded figure in the crowd.

He's been at this long enough to know it was them that was causing trouble, he just didn't know what kind of trouble. Suddenly he senses something else and looked to see a figure drenched in red cloth marching through the crowd.

He starts to wonder who's the villain he's supposed to be worried about when the hooded one grabbed onto a random person in the crowd. That caused the person to cry in pain and the people screamed and ran off whilst the man who was being held fell dead.

The woman in red sprang into action as she pushed through the crowd and started to raise her hand, revealing it was glowing red and a table nearby was doing the same. She then swung her hand, sending the table flying at the hooded figure.

"Wondered how long it would take for me to find you again!" Cressida called out to the Avenger, starting to use the powers she consumed from Wanda.

"Killing innocents is a fast way to get my attention!" Wanda cried as she started tossing more furniture out towards Cressida.

Last night, Wanda took time to understand what happened between their little encounter and discovered if she used her powers head-on against her, Cressida could absorb it. If she used her powers on another object, it creates some sort of blockade that she can't absorb her life force through her powers.

Cressida started to use her powers up against Wanda and Peter reacted on instinct when a table came towards them. He leaped and tackled Peni and just missed the table coming.

Teresa jumped out of the way and dodged the coming table and ran over to her siblings. "Are you guys okay?!"

"We're good!" Peter said as he helped Peni stand up before getting up himself with Teresa's help.

The entire mall started to be evacuated while the two powered individuals started to fight in the middle of the food court. Peter looked down at his shirt and tried to pull his Spider-Man suit out, only to remember this was supposed to be a day off and his suit was being washed.

Looking over to his family, he saw he needed to get them to safety, or try and break off this fight between two witches. But he also needed a way to conceal his identity. Looking over to the nearby shops, he noticed there was a costume shop, and he noticed a Spider-Man costume.

Luckily, he still had his web-shooters.

But first and utmost important, he needed to get his family out and lose them in the way in. He dragged his sisters in the direction of the crowd to get them a safe distance away.

"Come on, let's get out of here!" Peter cried as he helps Peni from getting trampled by pushing her and lifting her slightly with his powers.

Once they were close enough to the door, Peter ditched them by standing still and ducking below eyesight to disappear without a trace. When they got outside, Teresa stopped and grabbed onto Peni and noticed Peter was missing.

Frantically looking around for her brother, Teresa began to grow worried about what might have happened to him. She looked around and thinks that he might've been pushed and pulled away in the swarm of people scrambling to escape.

Back inside, the entire food court was destroyed, and Wanda was dodging all of the counterattacks as Cressida sent several objects that she could get her hands on flying.

"Excuse me, ma'am!" Peter called Wanda's attention as she was floating and turned to see Peter hanging off the wall with the costume from the store. "I can help. I'm really strong and... sticky."

The suit he was wearing maintained the classic Spider-Man design, except it, seemed to have knee and shoulder pads placed in their respective areas as a form of protection for the wearer. Noticeably, the suit isn't as streamlined as Peter's actual suit and seems more of a quick thing put together considering the suit doesn't have implemented red-black sneakers, and instead Peter has to wear his own from this suit since there were no boots here.

"I need to lead her somewhere she can't absorb anything!" Wanda cried out as she shielded herself from a blast from Cressida. "Keep the people back. Don't let her touch them!"

Peter nodded and saw he could evacuate the people who were still inside and hiding whilst she took care of this woman. He leaped down and landed behind some plants and stands.

"Come on, let's get you out of here!" Peter said as he started to lead the people out of the mall.

While he was doing that, Cressida and Wanda flew throughout the mall and sent blasts flying at one another. Cressida was using too much of her reserved power from draining it from Wanda.

Wanda seems to have noticed this and saw she could finally finish her off. She sent a stream of energy towards the hotdog stand, causing it to fly and smack Cressida.

Wanda flew down and landed on the ground and started to slowly make her way over to Cressida, believing the battle was finally over.

When Wanda reached out to grab Cressida, she leaped up and grabbed Wanda by the throat and squeezed. Cressida started to absorb all of the power from Wanda, and she couldn't do anything to fight back due to her having a grip on her throat. The longer she held, the weaker that Wanda was starting to feel.

Before she could kill Wanda by draining too much power, Peter interrupted by shooting webs at her hands, cutting her off from her abilities and yanking Wanda away.

Seemed it was good for Peter to interrupt when he did because she was looking like a zombie with her skin looking like it was corroding and her breath wheezing.

"Come on, let's get you out of here," Peter said as he looked and saw Cressida seems to have escaped. The only thing he could really do now was keep Wanda from dying on him.

Peter heard sirens outside and shot a web to open the skylight and immediately yanked the two of them out as he landed on the ceiling and placed her on the roof.

"Come on, don't die on me." Peter pleaded as he wanted Wanda's skin turn back to a color someone would consider at least living. "Oh, thank god."

"T...thank...you." Wanda wheezed out, sounding like her throat was dry.

"No problem," Peter said and saw she was trying to stand and stopped her. "Whoa, you're not going anywhere. You need to heal."

"Not here." Wanda tried to talk but was focused on allowing her powers to heal her. "Exposed."

Peter sighed and knew he didn't have anywhere else he could help her, except for...home. Sighing, Peter looked down at her and wondered which was more important. Keeping his identity from some girl or keeping her alive.

If that other girl found her, she wouldn't stand a chance, and Peter was sure not going to be able to stop her alone without knowing who or what she is.

Making his decision, Peter looked around and noticed the hoodie she was wearing earlier on the floor of the mall. He quickly webbed it to come to him and placed it on her, taking off her crown in the process.

Peter then took off the costume he was wearing and revealed his face to Wanda, but she didn't seem to even register it as she was passed out and healing.

Peter quickly picked her up and dropped off the ceiling before sneaking off into the streets. Once Wanda got some of her strength back, she started to walk and Peter stood beside her to help keep her steady.

"Thank you," Wanda told the hero, finally getting a look at him. "I'm...Wanda. Or the Scarlet Witch."

"Peter." Peter decided there was no use keeping his identity secret from her as she's about to be where he lives in a few moments. "Or...Spider-Man."

"Yeah, I noticed that." Wanda chuckled as the costume Kinda gave it away for her.

"So...what are you doing down here?" Peter asked, recognizing the Scarlet Witch as one of the Avengers, but they usually don't leave New York.

"Chasing down a wanted criminal who almost killed the Avengers, and responsible for a dozen of unsolved cases," Wanda informs him as she almost tripped, but Peter caught her and kept her from falling. "We call her Avenger X. She can absorb the life force of anyone, and that would also include their strengths or powers. The longer she holds them, the more she drains...she drains too much, she could kill someone."

"Wow," Peter commented as he helped her up the steps to his house. "How do you plan on stopping her alone?"

"I don't know. She's somehow gotten stronger. She can absorb my life through my energy blasts." Wanda informed him. "But she couldn't do it to you. How?"

"What?" Peter asked, not following what she means.

"When you shot your webbing, nothing happened," Wanda explained.

Peter then understood her confusion and saw where she was confused. "Oh, no. The...the webs aren't part of me." He then showed off his web-shooters. "They're something I invented myself."

"Really?" Wanda was surprised to learn. "Stark owes me ten bucks."

Peter snickered at that and helped Wanda enter the home and saw this Avenger X character was someone that he was going to help her stop. If today was any indication, she's more powerful now she absorbed almost all of Wanda's life.

But how do you stop someone you can't touch?
