After school, Peni was back in the garage and looking over the pieces for her father's invention, the SP//DR suit, which the spider said would help answer a lot of questions she has. But sadly, she was also one of the number of people that Ned was looking for and was questioning her.

"Is your brother Spider-Man?" Ned asked her.

Peni stopped working on the computing for the suit and looked towards Ned. "My brother didn't do anything wrong. Even if he was Spider-Man, which he is not, there is nothing that you have that can be used against him. He kept me safe when I was alone. He is always there when I need him. And if he's not around, he's making money for us to make a living from the small input we have."

Ned was surprised by the snarky attitude that she has as he didn't expect this from her. As Peni was depicted as a quiet and shy kid by everyone that she knows. But it seems she got her point across so that he understood what she was saying.

He left the kid alone as she got back to work, she scoffed at the thought. "My brother, Spider-Man." Then her spider got her attention again, making her listen. "What do you mean? Of course he's not." Then the spider chattered something back. "His closet?"

Back in school, things have gotten increasingly difficult to keep people away from Peter after everything. With his battle against Electro, Peter was still nowhere to be seen during the fights, there was nothing that he could say to get people to believe he isn't Spider-Man. All they're missing is just a photo of him without his mask to prove it to the world.

"This isn't going to blow over." Peter noticed as he looked at everyone watching him. "I can't get anything done without unveiling who I am."

"Yeah, that was something I was thinking, too." Tadashi had to admit as they wandered the halls. "How long can you keep this up?"

"Not for much longer." Peter sighed, wondering what he was gonna do.

Across the campus, one of the guards was waiting at the entrance, looking for any reporters trying to sneak their way inside. But as he was watching the entrance, a small canister landed at his feet before it activated and releases a gas that knocked him out.

What came down from the roof was someone dressed in an all-mechanical suit that is one from Peter's old days as Spider-Man. The Beetle.

Back inside, Teresa was making it through her day working on the adjustments for her wingsuit, almost getting it down right. Just as she was working, Ned also paid her a visit that drove her insane.

"What are your thoughts on the recent reports that your brother is Spider-Man?" Ned asks Teresa, getting an annoyed look.

A fire had emerged inside Teresa as she looked at him. "My brother is an innocent man who's getting the heat of something that isn't his fault." She slammed her screwdriver down and looked at Ned, scaring him a little. "I've known him my whole life, and I can safely say, the guy can't even throw a punch. He spent half his high school years inside his locker. He isn't a masked hero running around in tights. We can barely afford clothes, where do you think he's getting the money for this stuff? Now, this is a quote I want you to put in a newspaper. Leave my brother alone."

Ned clearly got the message and nodded in understanding before putting the recorder away.

Peter was with Tadashi in the halls when GoGo approached them, a little worried these eyes might be getting to him now. Everyone in their little social circle had gotten out recently and everyone won't leave them alone.

"How are you holding up?" GoGo asks him.

"Terribly," Peter stated, the two of them making it through the halls. "Everywhere I go, I either have someone badgering me with questions or people demanding I reveal my secret. It's only a matter of time before something terrible happens and some Spider-Man villain will come here and go after me."

"Who would be stupid enough to come and attack a school looking to pick a fight with Spider-Man?" GoGo asked him, not believing anyone was stupid enough to do that.

Peter had to agree that it was a jump to conclusions, which he has been watching out for since his identity was released. That was until his senses went off, alerting him that there was indeed someone approaching.

"Hey, Peter...there's something..." GoGo was saying when her voice was drowned out by his senses.

Turning around, he just got out of the way before a missile came down and blew up a vending machine at the end of the hall.

"Yes! Free food!" Fred cheered in victory as he grabbed a few of the bags of chips not on fire.

Peter looked to see he tackled GoGo against the wall. The weirdest thing was that she didn't look angered by it, rather looked...aroused.

"Peter," GoGo said with a smile on her face. "Now's not the time or place."

Peter couldn't hold back the blush as he pushed himself off the wall and away from her and looked down the hall. Looking where the missile came from, everyone was running in terror, as the mechanical suit made its way over towards him.

"Beetle?" Peter asked in shock.

Time then began to slow down to the point of freezing as the two figures stood face to face with one another down the halls. "So... been a moment since I've done this. Guessed there was no moment for me to need to do this. But I need to give you some backstory if I want any of this to make any sense."

Time seems to reverse back a few years back to when Peter was back in his old suit that had a lot of tears and scars. That was due to not having access to the equipment in the college he now goes to. He was currently swinging through the city while facing off the exact same suit, just with an old prototype look.

"The man I am currently facing right now is the Beetle. He's a hitman that was working for this Crime Boss of mine known as Tombstone. Louise Lincoln. AKA, the Tombstone."

Then we cut to a man who had tough skin and was sitting at a desk in his office with a smile on his face.

"Later did I know that he was actually the fake boss, for the Kingpin."

Then we cut to a giant guy with this cane in his hands, a diamond on top of that cane.

"But I'm getting off track. But at the same time, not off track. Okay, let's get to what's important."

Beetle is back into focus again as Peter was jumping out a window and shooting a web at him.

"His name was Abner Jenkins. But we called him the Beetle. Because look at that suit! It looks like a beetle. He's been a hitman for Kingpin for years. I was the first person to find out who he was after several assassinations across the city."

Then we cut to Peter fighting Tombstone and giving him the formula to counteract his powers and leave him human. Then cutting to Fisk holding him in the air and ready to break his spine.

"That led me to take down the Tombstone, and the Kingpin himself. That unfortunately appears to be the reason for the Jackal. Seems that when I took him down, I left a power vacuum and he filled it. But you know about Jackal's story, you now know this Beetle's story, and here's my biggest question: How is he here? Wanna know why I'm asking that? He died! So did Tombstone!"

Back in the present, Peter was staring down the Beetle as the suit aimed more missiles just when a certain yellow/orange circle was being thrown and impaled into the cannon. Peter looked and saw it was GoGo, standing near the labs opening and holding one of her garbage wheels for her bike in her hands.

"Run!" GoGo tells him as Tadashi pulled him down the stairway, knowing he needs to change.

"What's the plan?" Tadashi asked as Peter made his way up and yanked a backpack out of a hidden space on the stairway. "Tell me you have a plan."

"Beetle is dead. So, this is someone who gained access to his suit, and has a grudge against me." Peter stated as he changed into his suit in front of his friend. Tadashi looked away and let his friend get ready for a fight, happy nobody was walking up the stairs. "So, I'm gonna lead them away, try and minimize the damage. You make it look like I escaped with you out of the school, while Spider-Man is fighting him."

"Got it." Tadashi agreed with that plan and raced off while Peter placed on his mask.

The Beetle aimed a weapon at GoGo after what she did to her armor when he shot a web out and yanked them to look his way. "Man, it's a good thing I've been hanging around that Parker kid after yesterday."

"You!" The Beetle declared, revealing to have a feminine voice, surprising Peter in shock. "I've been looking for you!"

"Well, you've certainly gone to lengths to get an audience with me," Peter commented as he leaped off the wall and landed on the floor in between Beetle and GoGo. Looking toward GoGo, he was amazed by her bravery and courage to go against an armored assassin. "I've got this. Go."

"Peter?" GoGo wonders.

"He's safe. With his friend outside." Peter assured her as she looked shocked ahead of him.

"Watch out!" GoGo warned him, causing him to look and his senses to go off.

Peter turned just as the Beetle revealed an arsenal, getting Peter confused as to how she did that. Yet again, the assassin isn't much subtle while fighting with a suit built to the brick with weapons.

Peter ducked and flipped out of the way of all the blasts while using his arms to block all of the missiles from hitting him. He leaped in and used a slingshot maneuver to make his way over and kicked Beetle and causing her to crash into the wall.

But before the Beetle could hit the wall, she activated her wings and took to the air of the school while shooting blasts at Peter. He quickly flips and gets out of the way while taunting the villain.

"So, where'd you get the suit? Villains'R'Us?" Peter asked as he used the mechanical arms to climb up the wall while shooting webs at her.

"You took away my father!" Beetle declared as she revealed she had missiles in her shoulders and blasted them.

Peter worked fast, ducking under a soda machine, causing them to explode and a few cans to spin around. "Your father?"

"You are the reason he died!" Beetle declared as several other missiles were going for him. "You killed Tombstone!"

"Your father? Tombstone?" Peter tried to understand her while also escaping by shooting webs and swinging around, having one missile on his back when he got an idea. "I think this is yours!" He claimed as he swung past her.

Beetle looked and saw the missile coming at her but couldn't react as it came back and blasted her, causing her to land on the ground. "I'm not down yet!" She then raised her second wrist and shot a blast of energy, similar to Shocker, and tried to hit him.

Peter dodged the attack by shooting two webs to the ceiling and flipping over the attack before landing on the opposite side and shooting webs at the back of her pack. Pulling as hard as he could, Peter ended up ripping the power source and causing the Beetle to go out of control and fly around.

As she was flying, she targeted her crashing towards Peter, tackling him and the two of them ended up flying and crashing. Sadly, there was a swarm of reporters outside whilst the Beetle was still flying and crashing.

"This isn't the last you've seen of me, Spider-Man!" Beetle proclaimed as she fell and crashed.

Peter groaned as he climbed to his feet, realizing he was surrounded by reporters from everywhere and on every side. Even his friends and students were surrounding him, looking for answers.

"Hey, Peter!"

"Spider-Man, take off your mask!"

"Will you people stop that?" Peter asked them, getting irritated by all of them. "I thought I made it perfectly clear, I am not Peter Parker!"

"If that's so, then where's Parker?" One of the reporters asked him.

Peter sighed and knew there was no way he could answer that. But then the strangest and most shocking thing that came out was Peter Parker.

Peter watched as he saw himself gasping for air from the stairway of the school as he walked over and landed in Tadashi's arms. "I've never run that fast for that long in my life."

"What...?" Tadashi asked as he looked back and forth between the two of them. "But...you're..."

"Peter Parker?" The reporters asked in shock.

"What, did you expect Iron Man?" Peter asked them. "I've been trying to tell you, people. We're two different people."

Nobody seems to know what to believe as not even Peter knew what to believe anymore when the Peter 2 winked at him, his eyes glowing red for a moment. That allowed Peter to see through the illusion and know who it is.

"Well, I gotta go and find her. See you later, Peter Parker." Peter tells his counterpart and swings off.

"Farwell, Spider-Man." Peter 2 said with a smile.

Later on, after having his name officially cleared and everyone leaving him alone, Peter and Tadashi were on the roof of the school when the Peter 2 came flying up and landed before them while lifting the illusion. What the two of them saw was Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch herself, walking over with a smile on her face.

"Thanks for your help," Peter said, unsure how she knew he needed help. "But how did you know I needed you?"

"We still get the news in New York," Wanda informed him and shook hands with Tadashi. "Hi, I'm Wanda."

"Tadashi." Tadashi introduced himself.

"But why did you help me?" Peter wonders.

"Well, you helped me out just a few weeks ago." Wanda reminds him. "I figured this was something that I could do to get even."

"You saved me, and my entire family." Peter was thankful for her intervention. "I feel I owe you more than one now."

"I'll see if there's anything you can do in the future for that," Wanda said as she walked away before turning back. "Just an FYI, I took a look into your friend, Ethel Tomago, she seems to be waiting for you to confirm that date."

Peter remembered that they never set a date and decided to go talk to her about that now. "Thanks for the reminder. Now everything's calmed down, I might be able to go out into public again without a crowd."

Tadashi and Peter started to walk away, and Wanda floated off into the air, leaving their separate lives and taking them back to their homes.

Meanwhile, back downstairs, Adrian Toomes, the janitor of the night shift, was going through the rubble from the fight and came across Teresa Parker's flight pack. Picking it up, he had the idea to use it and maybe get a few bucks off of the power that it holds if he learned how to use it.

The Vulture will rise.
