Spiderfan616 - It'll all be explained soon.

The next day, everyone was giving their statements to the police about the gear that was stolen from the attack yesterday. Teresa told Detective Yuri about how her wings worked, and a few other students confirmed how their tech was taken as well.

With Peter and Tadashi, they went to his labs and pulled over a board that had a list of people that goes as far back as Kingpin, then to the Shocker robbery, and Jackal's secret lab under the school. Peter even had a small piece on the side with the Vulture thanks to the camera in his mask with the guy's face, even though his mouth was covered by some mask.

"Okay, something big is going down, and I think it all leads back to one person," Peter said as he circled Miles Warren. "Miles became Jackal somehow, due to some of his lab experiments going awry."

"Right," Tadashi confirmed that was true.

"And he admitted that he hired the Shocker to steal that money from the bank, needing the money for his experiment," Peter said as he circled the explosion. "That money was going into getting parts for the machine. But when I stopped Shocker, he got the money by... other means. But what that machine did...I have no idea."

"Well, didn't he do something with your DNA?" Tadashi asks him.

"Yeah, he did," Peter remembered and looked over the question he wrote: Blood's purpose? "I just don't get it. What could he have gained from the DNA?"

"Warren is a DNA expert." Tadashi reminded him.

"That's how he learned that I was Spider-Man," Peter confirmed, just trying to put all the pieces together. "Herman gets out of prison, Jackal scares him to steal. He gets beaten by me, so Jackal creates the Sandman and Rhino."

"Which you learned how to defeat," Tadashi added on.

"And when that doesn't work, he manipulates Otto to come after me," Peter said as he gestured down to his file on Otto. "When Otto captured me, he takes me to the secret base that he had in the school. Then when Otto took down the machine, it fell into the bay."

"After he uploaded your DNA into the machine." Tadashi reminded him.

"But what was my DNA going to do?" Peter still hadn't figured it out as he looked over the wreckage on the photos. All the blueprints and the machine itself were lost in the explosion so there's no turning to them. "Like you said. He's a DNA expert, so it had to do with Spider-Man in some way."

"Your powers might be a place to look into," Tadashi commented.

"I tried that route, but my blood doesn't give any signs of transfusion." Peter denied that route being anything worthwhile. "If he got a sample of my blood airborne to a toxic gas, that would make things ten times worse."

"How so?" Tadashi asked. "You wouldn't be the one and only Spider-Man?"

"I was created by radiation, meaning that my blood becomes airborne, it could become deadly," Peter told him. "I had a small fraction of the radiation. The bigger the radiation, the worse the effect."

"How bad?" Tadashi asks.

"The radiation could have given me extra body parts," Peter replied as he looked down at his waist. "Imagine me with four extra limbs."

"Two extra arms and legs, or all extra arms?" Tadashi asked, trying to get the image right.

Peter looked over to his friend with a raised brow. "I'm not answering that with a response." He then looked back at his work and tried to piece it together. He then looked over to the reports of Jackal exposing his identity as Spider-Man. "Jackal then revealed my identity. I think it's because he wanted me busy. He wanted me to be too busy to focus on him to put his plan into action."

"Which is...?" Tadashi asks him.

"I have no idea." Peter sighed as he slammed his head against the board. "I just put a board together because it seemed to work on tv shows."

Tadashi was going to respond when his door started to open, causing Peter to react by flipping the board over to show Tadashi's work on his robot nurse. The person who entered turned out to be Teresa, who looked nervous as she looked at the two of them. Noticing that they were up to something, she looked towards Tadashi, who looked away from him. Teresa looked at Peter and saw he was looking at her in wonder as to what she was doing here.

"T, what's up?" Peter asked her. "Give your statement to the police?"

"Yeah, turns out a lot of tech was stolen," Teresa said as she gestured to the doors. "Some mini speaker, advanced armor, my wings, and a respirator."

"They have any leads?" Peter was curious to know if any of them knew who's the Vulture.

"Seems that it's another janitor from here, Adrian Toomes," Teresa admitted with a scoff. "What's with the janitors here becoming psychopaths? Feels like this school brings the crazy out in everyone."

Peter scoffed and had to agree with that. "Preach to the quire choir."

"Listen, Peter, I'm gonna ask you something," Teresa said as she walked closer to Peter to whisper. "I know you don't like to do this, but you think I can talk with Spider-Man?"

Tadashi almost coughed on his coffee after hearing that and looked at Peter, who was looking shocked after hearing that. "Spider-Man? Why?"

"I might have a situation that can help him find and stop the...Vulture." Teresa tells him.

"But why not tell me and let me tell him?" Peter asked her, feeling it'll be easier and better to tell him.

Teresa raised her brow at him after hearing that. "Pete, I love you, but you can't keep anything without writing it down. And I need to make sure he hears everything. I invented them, so I know how to shop them."

Peter sighed and knew it was a mistake to do all of this, letting his family know that he worked closely with Spider-Man. "I'll...see what I can get done."

"Thanks," Teresa said as she made her way out of the labs.

Tadashi didn't know what to say as he waited a moment to confirm that she was gone before looking toward Peter. "So... what are you going to do now?"

"From what she says, she has information that can help me find Vulture," Peter said as he smacked his head against the board. "Oh, but if she hears my voice...she'll immediately know who I am."

Tadashi saw that was a good point and had an idea. "What if she didn't recognize your voice?"

"And how do you plan to accomplish that?" Peter was worried to know.

"I'll have it ready for you in a hour, just tell Teresa you have her date with Spider-Man ready," Tadashi said before realizing what he said and was disturbed by it. "Okay, I heard myself."

"Good," Peter replied, happy that his friend knew how weird that sounded.

"Speaking of dates, how was the date with GoGo?" Tadashi asked him with a grin.

"You talked with Teresa, didn't you?" Peter asked him with a sigh.

"Dude, she told everyone." Tadashi was sorry to admit that everyone in their group already knew about their date.

"Of course." Peter sighed.

Tadashi then started to get into the device that he was thinking of giving Peter later for his meeting with Teresa.

At lunch, the two of them were getting their food and started to walk over to the group. The two of them were discussing the device that he created for Peter.

"So, you're sure this will disguise my voice?" Peter asked as he looked at the device that looked like a mouth mask with a speaker inside.

"Not completely, but just enough that she can't tell you're Spider-Man," Tadashi promises him as they made up to their friends.

"Hey, guys." Peter greeted his friends and saw GoGo had a spot opened for him. She eyed him before looking toward everyone else, and they all had a grin on their face. "Why do I have a feeling that I know what the topic of conversation is?"

"You do. Trust me." GoGo said as Tadashi already took the other open seat that wasn't next to GoGo.

Peter rolled his eyes and took a seat next to GoGo. "Okay, you're all thinking it, go ahead and ask."

"How was the date?!" Honey Lemon asked them in joy.

Peter looked at GoGo and was surprised that she was blushing. "I thought that it went well."

"It was good." GoGo agreed with him.

"You guys plan a second date yet?" Teresa asked them both with a smile.

"No, not yet. We don't wanna rush anything." Peter said as he looked at GoGo, and she agreed with his statement.

"Yeah, we want things to happen naturally," GoGo had to agree with him.

"That's nice," Tadashi commented on the two of them.

"Oh, I'm so happy for you guys!" Honey said as she ran over and near hugged the two of them.

"Pete, did you do that thing I asked you?" Teresa asked.

"Yeah, he said to meet on the balcony," Peter said, hoping that Tadashi cleared the way for this to work.

The friends then had a nice lunch and mostly managed to bring the topic back to the relationship beginning to blossom. Peter didn't mind talking about it, but it always seemed to make GoGo feel uncomfortable to hear that everyone knows about them now. It makes it feel too real, more than she realized it to be. But Peter just sat there and held her hand to remind her that he was now there for her.

When everyone separated after lunch, Teresa went to the balcony and started to wait for their hero to make an appearance. To not make it too obvious, he swung away far enough so that he could make it look like he left the city to reach them.

Peter came in and landed above Teresa so that the sun was blocking his figure. "Teresa Parker. Your brother talks about you a lot." His voice sounded like it was muffled and robotic. Thank you, Tadashi. "Heard you had information that might be useful to find Vulture."

"I created the wings he's using," Teresa informed him as she leaned on the bars. "But they weren't designed to be used as a weapon. They were designed to help people."

"I know that. Don't worry, I don't blame you." Peter promises her, knowing all of this already. "But what was the information I needed to know?"

"I do blame myself for it," Teresa whispered as she stood back up and crossed her arms. "But the point is that those wings weren't completed. They start to fail and malfunction after a certain time."

Peter saw that was useful information and started to crawl down the wall. "How long?"

"They have 30 minutes before malfunctions," Teresa answered.

Peter thought back to his first fight with Vulture and remembered how fast he was trying to escape, meaning he also knew.

"And there's the power source." Teresa broke Peter out of his thoughts. "It can only function once after every use. I made them, especially for the wings, but only finished the power source that will stop them from malfunctioning at home last night."

"So, he needs a new power source." Peter was following. "But if that's the case, that means that he would be heading-"

Before he could finish that statement, a dozen screams were coming from the other side of the school, followed by smashing glass.

"Here!" Both of them cried in terror.

The Vulture came flying through the labs as he landed in the labs. Searching around the room, he pulls out a small device from his pocket and pulled up a photo of Teresa Parker.

"Ah, people running in terror, and not a Spider to be seen," Toomes commented as he looked around the room. "Just the time for me to pick through the remains of the old technology."

"Wow," Peter commented, causing the Vulture to jump and turn to face him as he sat on the wall of the cafeteria. "First, taking the Vulture thing to a whole new level, aren't you? And second, this school is becoming some seriously bad luck. The Fearful Four, Jackal, Beetle, and now you? I hope students here are getting some serious benefits."

"You came back for a second round, Spider-Man?" Toomes asked him when he noticed Teresa running into the cafe. "Ah, I've been looking for you!"

"Me?" Teresa asked in shock. "You stole my wings! I want them back."

"And I want them functional!" Toomes said as he flew in and reveals to have talons on his feet.

"No!" Peter cried as he ran in and shot a web towards Teresa.

But his webbing only just missed his sister when Vulture came in and swooped her out of the school. Peter quickly followed right behind him and chased the monster kidnapping his sister.

"What do you want from me, Adrian?" Teresa asked as she did her best not to look down.

"Adrian Toomes was a weak man!" Toomes informed Teresa. "Now, I am the Vulture! And I want you to fix these incomplete wings of yours."

"You want me to fix the wings you stole?" Teresa asked him with a scoff. "You're more psychotic than you look!"

"Fine." Toomes shrugged as he dropped Teresa.

She lets out a cry of terror as she fell from high in the skies. But as she fell, Toomes did a loop and came back around to catch her with his feet again.

"Now as I was saying..." Toomes was saying when Spider-Man came in swinging and kicked him.

The kick caused Toomes to release Teresa, allowing Peter to come in swinging and grab onto her. "I got ya!" He then grabbed onto the wall and sighed to see he saved her. "You okay?"

Teresa went to answer when she noticed Vulture coming back. "Watch out!"

Peter sensed him coming just in time as he leaped and dodged the attack just as Vulture sent a sonic screech and broke the windows they were hanging on.

They say twins are supposed to stick together, but pretty sure whoever said that was never kept a secret as big as this.

"If he can't get to me, he's likely to go back to the school," Teresa warned Spider-Man, Peter feeling this is too close for comfort. "He knew I was the one who invented them and will know where to find my power source."

"Yeah, I came to a similar conclusion." Peter agreed as he swung them through the city. "Anywhere I can drop you off?"

"What are you talking about? I can get the power source out of there while you go back and stop him." Teresa stated, and Peter didn't like that idea.

"What? No, it's too dangerous." Peter declared, not wanting his sister in the line of fire again.

"And it'll become even more dangerous if he makes it out with that power source," Teresa replies to him.

Peter held onto her as he kept swinging and wanted to argue with her but didn't know what he was going to say that she couldn't find a comeback too. Hating the idea, he decides to let her help and prays he doesn't regret this decision later.

Vulture indeed made it back to the school and smashed the window that connected to their labs. He made his way through the stations and found Teresa's station. Once finding the safe that held her power source, he used one of the broken ends of the wings to pry it open.

Once opening the safe, he was shocked to discover that it was empty. "What?"

"Aw." Peter got his attention, causing Vulture to turn and face Peter as he held the power source. "Are you looking for this?"

"Hand it over!" Toomes demands as he got back up and warmed up his speaker.

"Funny, I was gonna say the same thing to you. Only referring to the wings." Peter admitted as he placed the cylinder down on the table. "So, are you gonna hand them over, or shall I beat them off of you?"

Vulture seemed to take the second option as he went to warm up the speaker. But before he had the chance to, Peter shot a web at the speaker and pulled him closer before punching his mask. That damaged the speaker long enough for Peter to act fast and punch him, sending Vulture flying into the wall.

While he was dizzy from the punch, Peter leaped over and landed on his shoulders before punching through the steel plate. "This looks important!"

Ripping the wiring caused the suit to short-circuit and shut down. "No!"

"Yes." Peter was happy to see that this menace was stopped. "I can't believe you didn't know that this was a fake." He said as he picked up the cylinder. "I mean, it's just a soda can with the sticker taken off."

But then he looked down at the wires from the suit and sighed at what he had to do to his sister's invention. A while afterward at the school, Yuri showed up with a squadron to arrest the Vulture and bring him to prison.

In his labs, Connors was cleaning up the mess Peter left while making his way through the school to fight Vulture when Yuri came in. In her hands was a small briefcase with the initials: M.W. on it.

"Dr. Curtis Connors?" Yuri asked as she walked over with the case.

"That's me," Connors confirmed. "What can I do for you, Detective?"

"Me and my men were going through all of Miles Warren's work at home and in the office," Yuri explained as she placed the case down. "And I'm told you are a fellow expert on bioengineering."

"I guess you can say that." Connors supposed. "What's in the case?"

"We were hoping you could tell us," Yuri said as she opens the case to show samples with one animal on them all. "My top men couldn't figure out what this was and directed me to you."

Connors looked them over and picked up a vial that had a lizard photo on them. "I'll have to run some tests to figure it out. Talk it over with my assistant, Karmi."

"Please let us know what you find," Yuri asked of him as she left him to work. "We think there might be something here that can help us track Warren down and put an end to his terror." She sighed and wondered what he could do next. "He already sent the media after that Parker kid, god knows what he's willing to do next."

Connors looked down at the serums and kept ahold of it. Thinking of something that he has been trying to do for a long time, he might finally have the means to accomplish it.

Back at the school, Teresa watched as it seemed Toomes' suit was removed, or at least her pack was removed. Then she was in for a surprise to see that her pack was in her labs with a note attached to it.

'Slightly used. Sorry.' - Friendly Neighborhood SM

Teresa sighed and was happy to see that it wasn't a total loss of her project. But then at the same time, all the goodwill that she is building up with this suit was now damaged forever due to Vulture.

"Well, at least the damage was minimal." Honey Lemon, the only one who is around, commented as she looked over the damage to the pack. "You can repair it."

"To what purpose? Nobody will ever believe in the potential after the Vulture news gets out." Teresa scoffed as she looked over the pack. "Few loose wires, and a bit of damage to the steel plating. I can fix this in under an hour, but there's no point other than for some other criminal to take them."

Then Teresa looked up and saw a comic book that belonged to Fred hanging off of his chair with the mascot suit. The title showed some crazy-looking Bird-Brain hero fighting from the skies. Looking over, she saw another one from a newspaper this time, showing Hawkeye with his sunglasses showing off a smile.

"Or maybe I can bring their faith back in with a different approach," Teresa whispered as she started to get an idea.

Honey Lemon looked worried as she saw that smile her friend had on. That was the 'I've got an idea you're not gonna like' face which she has grown to fear.

"Why do I have a bad feeling growing in my stomach?" Honey asked her.

"Who said that Spider-Man could be the only hero in this city?" Teresa asked as she looked over to Honey. "I can find a perfect way to use this suit."

"How?" Honey Lemon asks her.

Teresa picked up a small domino mask off Fred's desk and got an idea of what to do. "With great power, there must also come great responsibility." The wise words of her uncle echoed through her head.

"What?" Honey Lemon asked her, not following.

"Time to show the world what I can do," Teresa said as she looked at Honey. "I'm going to use these wings for what they were intended for. To save lives."

The rest of the night, the two of them stayed up and not only fixed the wing pack, but also made a few upgrades. Including the correct power source that Vulture tried so hard to retrieve from her.

When they fixed the wings, Teresa asked Honey Lemon if she could make small projectiles that could taser someone upon impact.

While she was working on that, Teresa went out and took a suit from the storage from the winter gear. The suit was all red, which didn't exactly scream a stealthy hero, but it was the best she can do.

Needing something for the air, she also found some military-grade boots that she had in her closet but would rarely wear. Whilst there, she also found some motorcycle gloves (weird phase, don't ask) that she could wear. Then to add some protection around the wings, as well as a place to hide them, she found an old leather jacket (part of her weird phase) that she used to wear.

Then there was the final piece. The mask.

Putting together a suit was meaningless without a way to protect her identity. Putting a mask together, she made it capable of heat scanning, and x-Ray vision, and could even modify her vocal cords to disguise her voice.

Standing outside on the balcony, Teresa looked over herself while putting her hair in a ponytail, and fixed her jacket to cover her wing pack. The pack itself was made small enough that it now fits inside of the jacket. On the front of her suit, there was a chest plate that wrapped around her wings.

Reaching behind her back, she tapped the button on her hip that connects to the wings. Immediately, the wings came out and she smiled as she looked herself over. Reaching down, she pulled out one of two pistols that were strapped to her hips. When she shot them off, two projectiles fired off and when they hit the wall, they left a small spark, proving they were working.

Putting the mask on, it was all black with a few blue dots and lines that connected them across it all. It stayed connected to her skin due to the neural interface chip that she 'borrowed' from Peter's labs. Hey, he has five of them, he won't mind if she used one.

He did destroy her sewing machine once when he used it without her permission. It was an accident due to him working on his first Spider-Man mask.

She also changed the wings from their green look to an all-silver look to reflect the night skies.

"You actually look pretty cool." Honey Lemon complimented as she looked over at her friend.

"Yep. Now it's time to see what the world thinks of me." Teresa said with a smile on her face.

Then she took to the skies to give herself a feel of the wings and cheered as she took to the air.
