It was late at night in San Fransokyo, and the team was responding to an alert that needed to be answered quickly. Because this was one of the squirmiest enemies Spider-Man had faced in the last few years.

Batroc, the Leaper.

Batroc has a black thin mustache and a pointy beard on his chin. He wears a special purple and yellow suit and mechanical leaping legs.

"And leap!" Batroc cried in joy as he landed on a car, crushing the roof on his way. "And leap!"

Baymax flew over with Hiro on his back, as they scanned the area in search of Batroc. The villain had proven to be faster than they expected after he robbed the bank and made a break from it.

"He's headed east," Hiro warns the group.

GoGo leaped and did a flip over a parked car as she was following after him. "I see him!"

Batroc leaped down the street just as Peter came landing right in front of his path. "Batroc! It's been too long." He then looked exhausted and sighed. "Or maybe not long enough. I'm not entirely sure."

"Ah, monsieur Spider-Man! I was wondering when we could be acquainted again." Batroc said as he curled his mustache. "So I can..." He then leaped into the air and down an alley. "Leap over you once more!"

But when Batroc landed in the alley, he ended up bouncing and hitting Fred, who was hiding in the shadows. "Foiled! And yes, if you're wondering, he can breathe fire."

"Oh, no, monsieur, I was wondering how much harder I would have to... Leap!" Batroc climbed to his feet again. "Leap!"

Then with that, he leaped down the connecting alleyway where Wasabi was. Wasabi activated his lasers and got his attention. When Batroc tried to leap down another adjacent alley, Honey Lemon created a wall of ice to stop him from running. Then a light was shone on them and was revealed to be Teresa with a flashlight connected to her mask.

"Hello!" Teresa said as she kept her guns aimed at him and lowered herself down. "Batroc."

Peter and Baymax then came down with the others, circling Batroc to keep him in place. Peni was asleep, the fact it was a school night and needed her rest. They ended up just waiting for the police who were just nearby due to his robbery. Seeing he wasn't going to be able to escape without being inflected with bodily harm, Batroc decided it would be best to just give in.

They watched as he was placed in the back of a police vehicle and driven off. "I've gotta say, this hero stuff is getting easier all the time," he said.

"Yeah! I could even do this with my eyes close!" Fred gloated as he tried to backflip.

But they ended up watching as he flipped and smacked his head into a light post. GoGo sighed and rubbed her head. "Let's not get too cocky," she said.

Fred then got back up as if nothing had happened. "But I say we should celebrate," he said, holding up some movie tickets. "I say we go see Roboslayer 2, anyone in?"

"I'm free." Teresa shrugged and everyone else seemed interested. "I can check with May about Peni coming."

"Pass," GoGo said as she sped off.

Hiro wonders, "Where is GoGo going?"

Peter shrugged. "She does this from time to time. It's something she does; nobody's quite sure where she goes."

"Nobody bothered to ask?" Hiro asks.

Fred admitted, "I did once. I totally regret it."

"It's really none of our business." Honey didn't think anything of it.

"Yes, personal space," Wasabi agreed.

"Boundaries is a good way to sustain relationships," Baymax confirmed.

The next day, they were having breakfast at the Lucky Cat Cafe while there was still no sign of GoGo. Fred was getting a little messy again with the ketchup as it seemed to be running low, and Hiro was still trying to figure out GoGo.

"So no one wants to know where GoGo goes?" Hiro asks the group.

Teresa shrugged and replied, "Not really," as she continued to eat her food.

Honey Lemon said as she was cutting her food, "It's really none of our business."

"Come on, guys, you can't tell me you're not dying to know," Hiro said to Peter and Fred.

"No, dying is what I would do if I invaded her privacy," Peter proclaimed, not wanting to get on GoGo's bad side. "I have powers, and I fear her."

Fred stated, "I'm willing, but what are we going to do? Follow her?"

That seemed to spark an idea in Hiro's head. "We could," he suggested.

"Guys, trust me, your heads will never be found," Peter warned them.

"Setting clear boundaries is one key to maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships," Baymax tells them.

"You may be correct," Fred replied skeptically.

"Yeah," Hiro said, unable to hide his excitement.

"Okay, good breakfast, gotta go," Fred said as he and Hiro rushed for the door, Baymax following close behind.

Peter looked over to the door and was questioning his choice of actions. "So, option one...I stay here, they find out what GoGo is up to, and we never hear from them again. Option two, I follow them, end up finding out myself, but I might spare them of her wrath."

"That second option sounds better," Teresa added as she took a bite of her food. Peter sighed as he got up and quickly walked off with his head down. As soon as he was out of range, Teresa swallowed her food. "But also stopping them is another option," she said.

Wasabi asks her, "Why didn't you say that while he was still here?"

"Because...I wanna see how this goes." Teresa admits.

Peter wasn't exactly enthusiastic about learning GoGo's secret, but he wasn't exactly just as thrilled for them to learn and for him to be in the dark. He also wouldn't lie if he said that he was a little curious to learn what she does. He did respect her privacy, but if someone else was going to snoop and learn, he might as well snoop on them while they snoop on her.

While they were waiting, they were sitting in Fred's limousine which had a hot tub for some reason. They were hiding out outside of GoGo's place while waiting for her to come out. Since her bike was still on the street, it gave the impression that she was still home. When GoGo came out and drove away on her bike, they started to follow her, but their questions only continued to grow as they watched her leave the city.

"Where is she going?" Peter asked, growing increasingly curious.

Fred then noticed a sign that they were passing while they were following. "Apparently, Muirahara Woods. Come on, there's a sign right there. I thought you were a genius."

Then when the limo came to a stop right next to GoGo's motorcycle, they were wondering where she could have gone. Hiro let out a sigh of disgust when he saw the woods.

"Why would she come here? Why would anyone come here?" Hiro asks, disgusted by the idea.

"Muirahara Woods National Park is an ideal place to learn about nature firsthand," Baymax said as he showed photos likely taken from the website. "It is home to many types of plants and animals."

"And the Hibagon," Fred added.

"The...what?" Peter wasn't sure he was familiar with the creature.

"You know, the Hibagon, the mysterious creature that roams the woods. It's said to be nine feet tall with a wild mane of chocolate-brown hair and feet the size of a sandwich." Fred explained the legend to them in an ominous tone.

"Foot-long feet?" Hiro asks. "Really?"

"Yeah, someone totally got a picture of it once," Fred stated, watching as Baymax quickly pulled it up. The photo looked like a blurry image of something that was too blurry to make out. "See?"

"Fred, that's so blurry; it could be anything," Hiro told his friend. "Let's just focus on GoGo for now."

"Fine. We'll solve the mystery of where GoGo goes, then maybe, just maybe, we'll run into the chocolaty-haired beast." Fred said as he raised his hand. "Heathcliff, towel me."

The three of them made their way out of the car and started to walk into the woods. They only stayed a small distance from GoGo whilst Hiro was only growing more disgusted by the bugs and mud in the woods.

"My grossed-out level is at an eleven," Hiro stated as Baymax squirted water at his face.

"Okay, I'm afraid to ask, but is this your first time in the woods?" Peter asked as Fred stepped in some animal droppings. "Ew," he added.

"Well, yeah, I've never been out of San Fransokyo," Hiro informed them as he squeezed the water from his jacket.

"What? Never?" Fred asked as he used a stick to clean his shoe. "Oh, Hiro. You missed out, my friend. Camp was the best. You learn how to make lanyards. You learn how to make fires from dried grass, and lanyards."

Peter took the stick and threw it away. "Let's get back to GoGo."

As they walked around the forest to try and locate GoGo, they climbed up a tree to try and get a look at what was happening. However, they were surprised when they noticed that GoGo was looking around the woods from a rock in the lake. They did their best to stay out of her line of sight while trying to determine what she was doing. Meanwhile, a small pile of black goo was making its way through the river. When it reached the rock where GoGo stood, it began to make its way toward her and attached itself to her jacket.

"What is she looking for?" Hiro wonders.

But then they noticed that she was sketching a bird on some notepad she had with her.

"Is... is she bird watching?" Peter asked, surprised. "She's a bird watcher? Wow. Just when I thought she had no surprises left."

Meanwhile, Fred was getting friendly with a squirrel when he noticed something in the woods. "The Hiba-"

Peter's senses went off all of a sudden and wondered what was going on. All of a sudden, the branch that the three of them were on snapped and they were sent falling. Just out of instinct, Peter grabbed onto the tree as the others fell into the water.

"Hang on!" Peter tried to shoot a web when his web shooters were jammed for some reason. "What?"

Baymax however acted fast as he jumped into the water and rescued them. Peter was lost on what was wrong with his shooters and knew he couldn't keep up with his teammates. Not as Peter Parker.

Peter jumped down from the tree and ripped open his shirt to show his Spider-Man uniform and quickly got changed. Without his web shooters, it was going to take longer to find his friends, but he needed to find them.

But as he was running, he missed how he was hitting some vines that were acting as a warning system for someone living in the woods. Peter didn't even care as he leaped and looked out to the woods.

"Where are you, guys?" Peter wonders as he looked out to the woods.

But when he felt his senses to off, he started to look around in worry about what kind of threat was out here in the woods. But when he turned around, he saw someone jumping out of the trees and coming towards him. But Peter didn't have a chance to get away, so he just jumped off the tree, missing getting cut by the knife in the man's hands.

Peter rolled and got a small distance away from the man who kept the knife close to him. Peter started to trace circles as the man did the same.

"Okay, Buddy, who the heck are you?" Peter asks in confusion.

"I am Kraven the Hunter," the man introduced himself, reaching into his oversized coat and pulling out a spear. "And you shall be my greatest hunt, Spider-Man."

Kraven charged towards Spider-Man, swinging his spear. Peter was quick to dodge the first attack and even quicker to block the second one. This guy had some great skills, and reflexes to match Peter's. When he tried to decapitate Peter, he quickly ducked and dodged the attack, barely saving his mask from being torn off.

Seeing that was too close of a call, Peter ran in to go for an attack. Kraven went on to try and Pierce into Peter's side, but he smashed to dodge the attack without his shooters. Then he yanked the spear to draw Kraven closer to him, allowing Peter to punch him in the face.

Kraven, however, wasn't going down that easily; he merely slid across the grass after being hit. Quickly getting back on his feet, Kraven went for a leap and spinning attack, but Peter dodged it by leaping backwards. However, that seemed to be what Kraven was expecting as he managed to kick Peter in the chest and throw him against a tree. Before Kraven could impale him with the spear, Peter grabbed it at the pole and held it to keep Kraven from impaling him.

"Give it up, Spider. Give yourself willingly, and I'll give you a merciful death," Kraven bargained with him.

Peter looked at the river nearby and saw it as the only way out of this scenario. "Thanks, but no thanks!"

Peter then quickly kicked Kraven and dove into the hazardous waters. Kraven was sent flying and knocked into a tree, thus losing both the scent and his prey. However, Peter did not realize that Kraven had numerous methods for tracking his prey.

"Run, Spider," Kraven encouraged the man. "It will make the hunt more enjoyable."

GoGo went back to the school where she found Teresa, Wasabi, and Honey Lemon were. She noticed the absence of her friends and wondered where they were at.

"Hi guys," GoGo greeted the three of them.

Teresa noticed that she wasn't mad, which made her feel something was wrong. "You're in a good mood," she commented.

"Why wouldn't I be?" GoGo asks, not following what she was saying.

"She was just saying it's surprising, given that Hiro, Peter, and Fred followed you," Wasabi explains to her.

"What?" GoGo asks, surprised to hear this.

Teresa raised her hands in defense. "I tried to stop him. But he just wouldn't listen."

Honey Lemon eyed her with curiosity. "Wait, wasn't that your-"

"You're saying they followed me?" GoGo asks. "Are you sure? I didn't see them. And Peter's not exactly known for being stealthy."

"I think so," Honey Lemon commented. "They've been gone all day."

Teresa was now starting to get worried and rolled over to the computer. "Hang on, let me see if I can ping their phones." Then she activated the family plan she and the family had and was confused. "They're dead?" Then she heard Honey Lemon gasp in fear. "I meant their phones!"

"Try the last known location," GoGo suggests.

Teresa did just that and they all saw it was the woods. "Muir Woods?" Wasabi questioned. "Why would they- oh, that's where you go."

"And?" GoGo asks him.

"And it's getting dark," Honey Lemon said, getting worried.

While Fred and Hiro lost Baymax thanks to whatever was going on with the technology, they ran into some whack job who lived in the woods named Ned Ludd. He claimed that technology didn't work in the woods because of something he called "Bessie." Bringing them to his treehouse that he's been living in for the past few years, he showed them a meteorite.

"The magnetic field from Bessie must be what killed your tech," Hiro guessed. "And ours. That's why something's wrong with Baymax."

"Quick question, have you ever seen the Hibagon?" Fred asked Ludd, who was in the middle of feeding mice that lived in his beard.

"The Hibagon, hmmm… let me think about that," Ludd said as he paused to consider. "Boo! You're looking at him!"

"What?" Fred asked, confused.

"I like people thinking there's a big ol' boogeyman lurking in the woods," Ludd explained, showing them the papers on the Hibagon. "Keeps those dummies away."

"Sure, yeah, that actually explains a lot," Fred said.

Hiro tried to see if his phone was working, but saw that it was still fizzing out due to its proximity to Bessie. Ludd looked at the phone and didn't seem to care about it.

"Technology, humanity's worst idea," Ludd stated as he walked over to his sap.

"That's not true," Hiro tells him. "Some technology is good. It helps people."

"Technology doesn't help people," Ludd stated as he poured some sap into a cup.

"Speaking of help, our friends are lost and we could use your help," Hiro said, unsure of the state of Peter or Baymax.

GoGo, Teresa, Honey Lemon, and Wasabi arrived at the last location their phones had pinned them down to. Teresa was about to start scouting the area when her wings started to fritz out on her, rendering her grounded.

"I can't seem to go any further." Teresa was confused about what was going on.

"I'm not picking up any signals," GoGo added as she tried to use her phone.

"So... why the woods?" Wasabi asks GoGo curiously.

GoGo sighed as she realized they already knew most of it; might as well admit the rest. "I like to go birdwatching, okay? It relaxes me."

Teresa asks in surprise, "You birdwatch? Gotta say, I didn't see that coming."

"You may not have seen this either," Honey called from a distance away.

When they walked over to see what Honey had found, they discovered the area where Kraven and Peter had their first confrontation. Teresa studied the gashes in the wood and ground, realizing that something sharp had struck them. She also noticed fingerprint holes left in the wood of the trees, likely her brother's handiwork.

"Something happened here," Teresa said, starting to worry about her brother. "Someone attacked Peter. But I can't be sure if it was because he's Spider-Man, or because they knew he's Spider-Man."

"Why would you suspect he came here as Spider-Man?" GoGo asks.

Teresa scoffed and chuckled. "My brother hates the woods. He didn't exactly enjoy it when we went camping. Me on the other hand..." She reached down and scooped up some mud, giving herself some markings on her cheek. "I love the wilderness."

"I can't tell which twin is stranger," Wasabi admitted.

"We have to find them," Teresa stated as she stood up. "They could be in danger."

Back with Peter, he crawls out of the water after getting away from Kraven. He gasps for air and stays under the water to keep his scent invisible to the hunter. He even lifts his mask slightly to try and get some air.

"Okay... that happened," Peter coughed up. He then got up and dusted himself off. "Alright, a crazed hunter is now hunting me down. I have no idea where everyone is, or where to go."

Peter then sensed something coming and jumped out of the way just as a tree was thrown down, nearly crushing him. Peter started looking around worriedly for what would happen next. What came next was a bag releasing smoke, obscuring the area.

"Okay, now this just got much spookier," Peter commented as he looked around the area. "Show yourself, you freak!"

That was when Kraven emerged from the smoke and tackled Spider-Man. He was then sent flying into a tree he could not see due to the smoke. It seems this hunter had studied his skills and knew of his weakness with his senses.

"You know what? Forget what I said. Go back into the woods," Peter told the Hunter.

Kraven used his spear for another attack, which Peter blocked by grabbing the handle before it could impale him. He then kicked Kraven and leaped into the trees to try and escape. However, when he made it into the trees, he hit a tripwire and almost got attacked by a bunch of syringes. Ironically, they were just fighting nearby where Lynn was about to drag Baymax off. He accidentally ended up tripping one of the tranquilizer dart wires and was knocked out.

"Huh... what was that?" Fred asked.

"I have a feeling that this has been placed here by someone else," Hiro wondered aloud, speculating about what might be going on. "There must be someone else here."

A short distance away, the others were still looking around trying to find their friends. GoGo was currently fighting with a flashlight to get it to work as it kept fritzing out on her.

"That was weird," GoGo comments.

"I don't like it either," Honey Lemon told them.

"My goggles and wings still won't work," Teresa said, trying to get her left wing to open. "Something's definitely going on here."

Then they heard rustling up ahead, and all of them were currently unarmed and without any gear or equipment to fight it off. Wasabi hid behind Teresa, who instinctively reached for her taser guns. Not only did she not have them, but they wouldn't work in this environment anyway.

"It's a bear!" Wasabi trembled in fear. "This isn't how I imagined my end. Not in a bang, but a bear."

But to their surprise, it wasn't a bear; rather, it was Peter who came running past them in terror. "Hey, guys! Great to see you!" He didn't even stop as he continued running. "GoGo, we'll talk later. But I can't talk right now! I'm being hunted by a crazy hunter!"

"Oh, okay," Wasabi said with a sigh, relieved that it wasn't a bear. But then what he had said started to sink in. "Wait, what?"

"Help!" cried Fred.

"Fred!" Wasabi was happy to hear Fred's voice. "Is there a bear in there?"

But GoGo and Teresa didn't care as they ran over to find Baymax talking to a tree. "Hello, I am-I am your personnel carrot stick."

"Is Baymax running low on batteries?" Teresa asked as GoGo started to let them go with a pocketknife.

"Hey, GoGo," Hiro chuckled.

"We'll talk about privacy later. But for now, I'm glad you're alive." GoGo said as she cut the net and dropped to the ground. "What happened to you guys?"

"This crazy real estate guy tried to throw Baymax off a ledge," Fred recapped.

"Uh... what?" Wasabi asks in confusion.

"It's a long story," Hiro said as he got up. "Where's Peter?"

"He said someone was hunting him," Teresa said in confusion. "Who would want to hunt my brother?"

"Half the city? He has a lot of enemies," Gogo sarcastically replied, recalling all the enemies Peter had.

Then they heard screams and saw in the distance Peter climbing a tree. Just as he reached its topmost branch, he leaped off it, only to land on his feet. Kraven, however, was already waiting for him, and he swung at Peter, who dodged the blow. Peter then jumped onto Kraven's back, knocking him down. However, Kraven quickly recovered and stood up again, ready to fight.

"We've got to help him," Hiro said worriedly. "But how can we do that? We don't have any of our tech thanks to Bessie."

"Whose Bessie?" Teresa asked.

"That's the weirdest part of the long story," Fred explained to her.

"You've gotta start improvising," GoGo said with concern. "Peter needs us."

Hiro then started to come up with a plan and saw what he could do. "We don't need technology. We just need supplies."

After some time, Peter started to grow tired of constantly fighting while the team tried to get some gear together. He was losing his balance and even his breath after the day of being chased. Without the city or his gear, he was out of his element, and even if he used his strength, he couldn't just kill Kraven. Peter then noticed that a fire had started, and he took that as some sort of signal that they were ready for him.

"Well, this has been fun, Kraven," Peter said.

Peter then kicked Kraven and ran towards the fire, using the trees and branches for cover. "Fool! No prey escapes Kraven!" When Kraven made his way to the campsite, he started to look around, using his spear to set off the small spring traps that they had set up earlier. "Ah, the prey has found his way back to the pack."

"That's an odd way to refer to a team," Fred said as he put on his camouflage helmet.

Then Honey Lemon came out and threw some balls of sap at Kraven while he was distracted. "I have got to remember this recipe," she said.

Then she started throwing dozens of the sap balls towards Kraven, but he managed to use his spear to block off all of them. However, that was when Wasabi came out and used a pinecone shooter on his arms.

"You think that the two of you are a match for Sergei Kravenoff?" Kraven asks them, using his spear and going twice as fast to either duck or block the attacks from both fronts. "I only came for the Spider! Where is he?"

Peter then came down and kicked Kraven, seeing what their plan was. However, when Kraven got ready for his strike, he noticed a pile of leaves beneath him and used his spear to move them. It revealed a deep hole that was designed to trap Kraven.

Kraven asks, "Did you think I would fall for something like that?"

"I guess that was the plan?" Peter asks.

"Kind of," Fred shrugged.

That was when Teresa whistled, causing Kraven to look over and notice that she had her jetpack activated, albeit still fritzing out. Then she let it go and sent it flying at Kraven, who managed to leap out of the way and dodge the attack. But that was where GoGo came in; she threw a bola to wrap around him and send him falling into another hole. And for good measure, Teresa dropped a smoke bomb to knock him out.

Peter sank to the ground in relief. "Sweet silence," he whispered.

"You okay?" GoGo asked as she walked over and sat next to him.

"Let's just say I should have stayed home," Peter groaned, noticing Baymax acting weird. "What's wrong with him?"

"A long story that we have yet to be filled in on," Teresa comments.

"I'm just glad you're okay," GoGo said as she leaned over and hugged him.

As they were hugging, the pile of goo that had latched onto GoGo made its way around until it found a more suitable host in Peter. Crawling and blending into the mud and dirt that was attached to his suit from the day's run through the woods, it became one with him.

After a while, Kraven snarled as he crawled out of the hole and noticed that someone was standing over the hole. Obake chuckled as he saw the hunter.

"I have to say that you gave them quite the run for their money. Of course, I couldn't see all of it, but it was something." Obake tells him.

Kraven asked, "Who are you?"

Obake smiled, "I am Obake. And I have a proposition for you, Kraven." Half of his face suddenly glowed.

They made their way back to the limo and started their drive back into the city. Everyone was exhausted and just wanted to get the day over with. However, when they were on their way home, their phones went off, revealing a dozen missed calls and messages from Peni.

Peter wondered what it was all about when he noticed that there was a video attachment. When they all saw the footage, they were shocked to see that while they were out of the city, there had been robberies committed. And who was the perpetrator that committed these robberies?

Spider-Man.

"Which is why I am trying to get the word out that I am urging everyone in the area to stay indoors," Yuri said on the Bugle broadcast.

"Here's the real question, Chief Watanabe," Jameson says, "will you finally arrest this criminal?" The group was all shocked at what they were seeing.

"We have dozens of accounts of Spider-Man saving innocent lives, Jameson," Yuri said, standing up for him. "And if you recall, he saved us all from the Jackal and his team helped against that Yokai character."

"Because he didn't want the competition," Jameson cried.

"Look, the fact is, since none of the Big Hero 9 showed up, we don't believe this is the real Spider-Man," Yuri said, defending the hero while looking at the facts. "But we also know that we can't just sit here and do nothing. We won't be hunting Spider-Man himself, but we will be looking into any possible imposters. That's all I have to say, Jameson."

"If the police aren't going to do anything, then I will gladly step in," Jameson said. "I am offering a reward to anyone who can bring this masked menace to justice."

Now everyone was left in terror when they saw that Jameson was going to offer that money to anyone who could bring down Spider-Man.

"Alive or dead!"
