Author: That's more I like it. I'VE BEEN REHATCHED!

Thank "Fanfiction reader0307" for this little bit. Read his comment, and I found it funny, that I decided to write this bit based on Sonic 2 which I figured the reference was from. Sorry for the sidetrack, just wanted to have some fun. Now, back to the story!

The night was shrouded in darkness while the team tracked down an assailant causing fear among the locals. As the night progressed, the majority of the team opted to rest, leaving Hiro, Fred, Peter, and Baymax to press on with the hunt.

"On the hunt for the sinister serial robber running amok in San Fransokyo, our heroes tirelessly..." Fred narrated as he then yawned. "Nope, I lied. I'm tired."

Baymax flew over him. "Attempting physical activity on limited sleep can significantly reduce dexterity and reaction times."

Proving his point, Fred ended up leaping into a billboard. "What?" Fred asked.

"Been there back in my old days," Peter stated.

"We can sleep once we figure out who's behind this bot crime spree," Hiro said.

"Hiro, finding someone on a crime spree could take days," Peter informed his friend. "It took me weeks to catch Jackal."

"Whoever is behind this is a mystery," Fred stated. "No, wait! It's a mystery plus a crime spree at the same time? A-A-A crimestery!"

Then they heard a woman screaming in the distance. They all wondered what was happening, and knew that whoever it was or whatever was going on meant someone was in trouble.

Hiro seemed to get the same idea. "Let's go!"

Hiro then flew off towards the screams.

"Oh, yeah!" Fred cheered as he leaped off.

Peter shrugged and saw maybe he was wrong. "Or maybe we can get lucky on occasion."

Reaching Joe's Diner, they saw a bunch of people scurrying away in the corner. The people seemed to be cowering in fear due to a small robot with three heads similar to a Hydra. The weirdest part was it was much smaller than them. If it were given a height estimate, maybe roughly the size up to Peter's knees.

It barked at them almost like a dog but with a mechanical bite to it.

"Seriously?" Peter scoffed. "The Spider-Slayers were more menacing."

"Aw, he's so cute!" Fred said as he approached and kneeled to pet the boy. "Come here, my widdle gu-"

Then the robot bit his claw finger, causing Fred to panic. He screamed and ran around, trying to get the robot off of his hand. He ran around in a circle until he then ashes into the booths.

"On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your pain?" Baymax asks as Fred continues screaming.

Fred succeeded in flinging the robot from his finger, sending it crashing into the wall. As the robot rose to its feet, Peter swiftly launched a web net to ensnare it.

"There we go," Peter said as he approached the robot. "Now let's-"

Then all of a sudden the robot spat acid out of its middle mouth. Peter shrieked as he jumped up onto the ceiling to avoid it.

"Acid!" Peter exclaimed in terror. "It has acid!"

"But still kinda cute," Fred said as he jumped on a stool as the robot burned it with the acid.

Hiro went in to get the robot down. "Just have to avoid the acid."

Suddenly there was an attack by the robot as it shot fire from its other mouth.

"And fire?" Hiro asked as he ducked for cover.

"I can do fire too!" Fred cried as the robot kept barking and chased after him. Peter ducked down and saw the robot running around again. Fred ran past with his back on fire. "How can he be better than me?"

Peter then saw a pot of boiling water on the stove and came up with an idea. He quickly webbed the pot and leaped into the air where he slammed the pot on top of the robot.

"I hate robots," Peter said in anger. Then he looked over to Baymax who was standing over him. "Not you, Baymax, you're cool."

"Whew! All right! Time for the Fred victory shuffle!" Fred cheered as he jumped, from behind the corner.

Then a Waitress called out, getting them to look towards her. "It's gone. They took the register!"

"Huh?" Peter asked.

Uh, I may have victory shuffled prematurely." Fred said.

Breaking news!" Bluff Dunder said, the team watching from their phones at Lucky Cat Cafe. "Tiny bot crime wave targets San Fransokyo!" Footage of the fight in the diner is shown. "The techno-terrors' latest victim? Joe's Diner, beloved home of the Joe Dog."

They watched as some stealthy bot made its way into the room while they were busy with the first one. It stole the register while they were finishing off the fight.

"There was a second bot!" Hiro couldn't believe it.

"Even Big Hero 9 weren't big enough heroes," Bluff states.

"Oh, man," Fred said. "I was so busy with the three-headed one, I missed my chance to fight a Kraken."

"Isn't that thing kind of small to be a Kraken?" Wasabi asked.

"Yeah." Teresa agreed. "Looks like a regular squid."

"Which is a Kraken!" Fred cried. "Just a mini one."

"T-that's..." Peter sighed.

"A baby kraken! Cute!" Honey said.

"Breakfast is served!" Cass said as she approached with their orders. "Eight omelets and one Have-A-Great-Day-Special!"

"Thanks, Aunt Cass," Hiro said as she left. Then he took another look at the robots in the footage and saw something familiar. "Guys, I know where the bots are coming from."

Hiro guided everyone onto the bus as they journeyed to their destination, sans their hero gear. The gear was within reach, ready to be summoned at a moment's notice, should the need arise, but for now, it remained unneeded.

"Back in my bot fighting days, there was this guy named Stan who always marked his bots with that same cartoon dog," Hiro explained what he saw.

"Seems like a dumb thing to do during a crime spree," Peni commented.

"Stan definitely built the bot," Hiro stated. "We need to see if the stolen stuff is..." then they heard a police siren whoops. "...in his shop."

There was already cops arresting Stan when they arrived. "It appears the police have come to a similar conclusion," Baymax said.

"Come on, guys, I'm not a thief, I'm a bot fighter!" Stan stated as he was led to the police car. "There's no crime in that!"

"Actually, there is." The officer said.

"Oh," Stan said. "That explains so much."

Hiro then brought everyone to Fred's house to have a discussion. "I have a theory about the robberies. Baymax?"

"According to the police reports, these suspects were arrested after their bots were caught stealing on camera," Baymax informed them, showing the several suspects whose robots were found robbing people."

"But the police haven't found any trace of the stolen cash, which means..."

"They already spent it," GoGo said.

"Or they wisely invested it," Wasabi said.

"Or they didn't steal it?" Honey asks.

"Exactly!" Hiro was happy someone got it.

"Yes!" Honey cheered.

"Look, I-I know these people," Hiro said. "None of them could pull off a crime spree."

"Okay," Teresa said. "So then who could?"

"Who do we know in the bot-fighting world who could mastermind a crime wave?" Hiro asked.

"Aunt Cass," Fred said in shock.

"Yama," Peter stated.

"Yama! So close." Fred scoffed.

"What do you think, Baymax?" Peni asked. "While possible, there is no evidence to support this theory."

"Ooh, me! Me! I know exactly how we can get evidence!" Fred said, running over to his comic collection. He then pulled out one specific comic. "Much like in the Captain Fancy Holiday Espionage Special, we need to go undercover to find the evidence!"

"We're not going undercover," Teresa said.

"Come on, I already got fake mustaches for everyone," Fred said, revealing a secret compartment with a bunch of mustaches.

"That's not a good idea."

"Actually, it's a great idea," Peter said.

"Ha!" Fred cheered, trying to give him a mustache.

"I mean, it's mostly a great idea," Hiro stated. "Just not the part where we all go."

"You're right," Fred said. "Baymax is pretty conspicuous."

"No, Fred," Hiro said. "I have to go in alone. I know that world. I'm the perfect spy."

GoGo slurping on her drink. "Hmm."

"What? I can handle this, guys." Hiro said.

"Yeah, but remember how Tadashi did everything he could to pull you out of the very dangerous, very illegal world of bot fighting?" Peter asked him. "I don't know..."

"It might not be the best idea." Teresa agreed as Fred tried to give her a mustache. "Would you quit it?!"

"I agree with everyone," Fred said. "Except for Teresa's harsh denial of the mustache."

"I won't actually be fighting," Hiro promised. "I-I'll only be there long enough to find out what Yama's up to. It's our best shot."

"I still don't like it," Peter said.

"What if I helped?" Peni asked, getting them to look over towards her. "I mean, I know how mechanics work." She then started to rub the capsule of the SP//DR. "I rebuilt him, didn't I?"

"That actually could help," Hiro said. "We could use Peni as a bot fighter."

Peter looked over to Teresa in worry. "What do you think?"

"Well... she can accomplish it," Teresa said, looking over to Peni. "But that is also what worries me."

"One night," Peter stated. "We'll see how this goes. And I will be watching."

"How do you plan to do that?" Teresa asked.

"I have been working on a little something on the down low..." Peter admitted.

Peter has crafted a new suit for specific events, featuring a striking light green and black color palette. The green prominently adorns the spider emblem, sprawling across the torso and extending to the back. The emblem's legs branch out, tracing lines to the hands and upper thighs, with green lights accentuating the feet's midpoints. The eyes of the suit are wide, with a vibrant green glow. The rest of the suit is black, highlighted by lighter shades on the feet and upper chest, and complemented by a subtle grey accent at the belt, which parts in the center.

The suit's design emphasizes the abdominal muscles with segmented lines. The wrists are encircled by web-shooters, marking the transition to the green accents. Additionally, the suit is outfitted with scaled padding on the shoulders, knees, and outer hands, adding a tactile dimension to these areas.

"What is so special about this suit?" GoGo asked, poking at it.

"It gives me a moment of complete camouflage," Peter stated. "I'll watch them from outside, if the cops show up, I'll get them out."

"What makes you think cops will show?" Teresa asked.

"Its bot fighting." Peter reminded her. "And Yuri is a stickler for taking them down."

Hiro made the decision to leave Baymax behind for safety as he joined Peter and Peni. Given that Yama had previously attempted to steal Baymax, Hiro wasn't willing to take that risk again. Peni was stationed a building away, near the entrance, while Peter, clad in his stealth suit, was perched on the wall.

"Hey," Hiro said. "Sorry, I'm late."

"Don't worry, we just got here," Peter said.

"Okay, just stick with me, and we'll see what we find out," Hiro said to Peni.

"We've got this," Peni said, revealing SP was with her. "Sorry, couldn't leave 'em behind."

Hiro didn't seem to mind as they made their way into the bot-fighting arena. Hiro pulled up his hood since he was already a recognized face, but Peni was brand new to the scene. They saw there was a fight going on right now, so there wasn't much attention on them.

"The guy put mayo on my noodle burger after I said no mayo." A guy said as they followed Yama. "I had to hurt him."

"I like mayo."

Yama made his way upward toward his office. As they saw where Yama was going, they heard the fight coming to an end, getting them to look over and see a centipede-looking robot fighting what looked to be a robot with three hammers and wheels. The hammers slammed against the centipede robot and crushed it.

"You've fought every night this week, and you haven't made it past the first round once!" The owner of the bot commented. "Take some advice from a pro, Trina. Give up."

"You wish, Gus." A female voice said, getting the two to see the owner of the centipede bot. She is slightly taller than Hiro and has fair skin, back-length auburn hair and light blue eyes. She dresses in a purple beanie, a pink short-sleeved shirt, and grey ankle-length jeans with stars, and she wears a pair of dark purple and white shoes. She also wears black, fingerless gloves. "I'm playing the long game."

Hiro was so distracted by her, that he missed Peni sneaking off towards a room full of scrap metal and other robot parts. Trina then strolled off, passing Hiro who only now took notice of the missing Peni.

"Peni?" Hiro whispered, trying not to draw attention to himself. He looked around, wondering where she could have gone. "Peni."

"Ketchup on your noodle burger, I can get behind that. Mustard? Relish? Great."

Hiro looked and saw it was Yama's men, meaning he had a chance to sneak up to his office. But when he tried to sneak up to his office, Yama exited the room and was beginning to make his way down. Hiro panicked as he wondered where he could go when someone grabbed him, dragging him underneath a desk.

"Relax, would you?" Trina asked him.

"What're you doing?" Hiro asked her.

"Saving you, obviously," Trina stated.

"I don't need saving!" Hiro said as he stood up, causing his head to hit the desk with a thud. "But thanks."

"Why were you sneaking into Yama's office, anyway?" Trina asked. "Last I checked, you were blacklisted, Hamada."

"I'm sorry. Have we met?" Hiro asked.

"Any bot fighter worth their circuits knows you," Trina stated. "You were a legend. Until you become a loser."

"A what? I never lost!" Hiro proclaimed.

"Quitting is the same as losing," Trina stated. "Now get out of here before Yama sees you!"

"Uh, why do you care?" Hiro asked as he got up, going to try and reach his office.

Trina however blocked his path. "I don't. But if you cause trouble, Yama might shut the fights down, and I want to win."

"Yeah? No, me too." Hiro tried to lie. "I'm actually un-retiring!"

Trina seemed to not believe his lie. "Sure. That's why you're here with no bot. My mistake."

"No, your mistake was not shielding your memory unit properly," Hiro stated.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Trina asks.

"Nothing," Hiro stated. "I mean, I'm the loser, right? Who cares what I think?"

Trina seemed to consider his advice.

"See? Those numbers mean your power source is outputting a B field that's corrupting your stored data." Hiro showed her from a small workplace.

"Huh? Looks like you're right." Trina commented. "Gotta beef up the shielding."

"You could do that. Or, you could focus the extra B field and use it." Hiro showed how it could turn into a beam of energy.

"Maybe you're not a total loser," Trina commented.

Peni then revealed herself, causing Hiro to jump in surprise. "You need a bell on you or something."

"Who's this?" Trina asks, looking at Peni.

"Who's this?" Peni asked, looking at Trina. "The girl from the fighting?"

"Trina, this is...Peni." Hiro introduced them. "My... bot fighting protege."

"Your what?" Peni asked.

"Yeah, she's going to be joking in the fights," Hiro said, whispering to Peni. "Play along. Can't risk our cover."

"Oh, right, yeah, protege," Peni said, knowing that they were basically the same in intelligence.

Well, hope you live up to the original," Trina said. "Look forward to seeing what you're made of."

Hiro then watched as Trina began to make her way out, the fights apparently over.

The following day, Hiro headed to the cafeteria to join the others, accompanied by Peni who was off school. They were all eager to hear about the previous night's events.

"What?" Hiro asked, seeing their looks.

"What do you mean, What?" Teresa asked. "How did it go last night?"

"Talk," GoGo demanded.

"Was being a spy everything I dreamed it would be?" Fred asked in joy. "Did someone ask for a password? Ooh! Did you hide on a ledge? Please tell me there were tuxedos!"

"There were tuxedos," Hiro said.

"Yes! I knew it!" Fred cheered.

Hiro leaned and whispered. "There were no tuxedos."

"Did you get proof Yama's behind the crime wave?" Wasabi asked.

"Not yet, but we asked around," Hiro said.

"Seems that Yama's bot did fight all of the bots involved in the robberies," Peni informed them.

"Not exactly hard evidence," GoGo commented.

"Which means I have to go back," Hiro said, a small smirk revealing itself.

"I saw that! That was a smile." Wasabi proclaimed. "Small, but a smile. You're happy to go back."

Hiro quickly hid the smile. "No."

GoGo turned his face to face hers, seeing his frown was false. "Hey, that's not a real frown. His face is lying."

Fred gasped when he saw she was right. "Face liar!"

"We just want you to be careful, Hiro," Honey said.

"Guys, there's nothing to worry about," Hiro told them. "This is all business. I promise."

"You also want to see if that girl will be there again," Peni commented, getting looks from everyone. "He met a girl."

"A girl?" Peter asked. "Ugh, Hiro, trust me, as a veteran of dating girls on the other side of the law, it doesn't end well."

"Wow, that's a blast from the past," Teresa commented, remembering Peter's short bad boy phase in high school. "Felicia Hardy. Still shudder when I remember her."

"You dated a criminal?" Hiro asked Peter.

Peter scratched the back of his neck. "Well...date is a strong word to use. I knew a criminal. Whom I've kissed."

"I didn't need to hear that," GoGo commented.

"Right, sorry," Peter said, getting back on track. "Look, Hiro, if you find someone on the other end of where you stand... don't expect it to last. They will always be ready to stab you in the back."

"I'll... keep that in mind," Hiro said.

GoGo now became a little curious about this ex. "So, who was this girl you used to date? The person you never mentioned before?"

Peter froze and realized he now walked into a trap. "Uh..." He needed a way out. "Look, a distraction."

"Where?" Fred asked, looking away.

"You actually looked?" GoGo asked, also looking away. Then she realized what happened and looked over to see Peter run out of the cafeteria. "Can't believe I fell for that."

Another day, another night of the same events as last night. There were a few fights going on, and Trina was indeed there. She used Hiro's advice, making a stronger robot to fight her competition. Hiro introduced Peni to the scrap she could use for her own not, and she got to work while Hiro talked to Trina.

"Good call on the extra B field!" Trina said.

"Yeah, but making that perfectly symmetrical focusing coil out of spare parts was all you," Hiro commented.

"I'm all about the spare parts," Trina said, getting to work on improving.

"Where'd you learn how to bot build like that, anyway?" Hiro asked, looking over her device.

"Self-taught," Trina admitted. "I watch, I learn. Don't let this go to your head, but I watched all your fights. You were good. Why'd you quit?"

"I-I don't know." Hiro shrugged. "I'm over it now. Plus, my aunt wasn't a fan of bailing me out of jail."

"All I'm saying is, if you like something and you're good at it, why deny yourself?" Trina asked, holding the controller for him to take. "We both know you wanna."

Hiro knew it was wrong, but his old life was pulling him as a bot fighter. He however denied himself it and made his way out. He walked over to meet with Peni, wondering how she'd been doing. That was when he saw Peni had created a new bot for her to use to fight.

On the table was a small robotic spider that resembled the SP suit. "What do you think?" Peni asked.

"Pretty nice, a little too cute for my taste." Hiro shrugged.

"Yeah, well, you know my style." Peni shrugged, using her remote to open the robot, revealing a housing placement for SP. "Best part, I won't be doing the fighting. SP will be."

SP entered the small robot and began to control it from within. Hiro was impressed when he watched the robot transform from a normal-looking spider into a more menacing one on par with Peni's real SP//DR suit. SP then showed off the mechanics and weapons on the suit, picking some fragments of metal and destroying them.

"Whoa..." Hiro said.

"Did you find proof that Yama is responsible for the crimes?" Peni asked.

Hiro scratched his arm. "Well, no. We're gonna have to go back."

"Again?" Peni asked. "Im starting to think you're not taking my brother's advice."

"Im not falling for a criminal," Hiro defended. "And how is she even a criminal?"

"Breaking the law is kinda a crime," Peni stated as she walked off, leaving Hiro to question what she said.

The next day, there was another crime spree with a robot robbing the ATM machines around the city. The team found the robot, and by team that would be Hiro, Honey Lemon, and Teresa.

"It's the bot Yama fought yesterday!" Hiro yelps.

The robot took off down the street, getting the four of them to take off and chase after it. Teresa tried to short-circuit it, shooting at the robot, but the machine was able to maneuver around her shots.

"It's too fast," Teresa said.

Honey threw a few Chem balls to try and stop it, but it avoided or even caught them. "I can't hit it!"

"Then we neutralize its speed," Hiro stated. "Baymax! Full power!"

Hiro tried to use his magnetic gloves on the robot, but it didn't manage to do much. Hiro then saw a manhole and started to use his gloves on that, turning it into a ramp. The robot went flying, and Teresa shot it, short-circuiting it. Honey then threw a Chem ball and managed to freeze it in place.

"Okay, little guy," Hiro said in relief. "Let's see how Yama's controlling you."

Peni was brought the robot since she knew a thing or two about coding with the SP//DR robot. Hiro couldn't find much, but it seems Peni found a few anomalies.

"I found a string of code that allows an external remote override," Peni said, showing it to the team.

Honey Lemon nodded. "Yama must be using his bot to infect the others when they're fighting."

"If we can find his executable file, we've got our proof," Peter said. "I could turn the evidence to Yuri, and get him gone for good."

"And how are we gonna do that?" Teresa asks.

"Easy," Hiro said as he looked at Peni. "We'll keep Yama busy by fighting him while we break into his office."

"Fighting him?" GoGo asks.

"Peni made herself a small bot fighter." Hiro shrugged.

"I just wanted to blend in, but it is able to put up a fight," Peni promised. "I don't think Yama could turn down a fight against another genius."

"I'll tell Yuri to hold off on raiding the place," Peter told them. "Let her know we're on a case."

Peni and Hiro made their way to the sights and this time he let them know it was indeed him. "You! You're blacklisted." The dealer stated. "Yama's orders."

"I am?" Hiro asked. "I had no idea."

She snaps her fingers. Two guards came along and began to drag Hiro out with Peni. "Too bad." He then nodded to Peni. "My friend here wanted to get in a match."

She then stopped them from being thrown out. "A new face would be good for business." She then shrugged. "Fine." The two were dropped and she held out the pot. "Pony up your buy-in."

Hiro handed the cash, and Peni walked over to the middle of the room. "Stay out of trouble," Peni told SP who snuck into the bot.

Yama laughed when he saw Hiro and Peni. "Welcome back, Zero. Your first match starts right now."

She moved and revealed that her first match is going to be going up against Trina. "Hamada protege, you coming or what?"

Peni grew a small grin as she was going to enjoy this. "I promise she won't go easy on you, Trina," Hiro said, seeing her smile. It actually spooked him.

Peni placed down her small spider-bot, getting Trina to laugh. "You really think you're gonna win with that sorry excuse of a bot? That's adorable."

"Let's see how cute it is when it's standing on the ruins of your bot," Peni stated.

Peni and Trina waited to hear the gong and then went into a fight. Peni used a remote control, even though it was really SP who was controlling it. The centipede bot circled around Peni's bot. When it did, Peni revealed the robot had a thruster and boosted her robot into the air for a quick second.

When it landed on the ground, Peni transformed the bot into its second form, spooking Trina as the arms grabbed the robot in the middle, raising it in the air, and then split her robot in half.

"What- what?" Trina was shocked by what occurred.

"I watch and I learn," Peni shrugged. "Guess I'm not as new to this as I seem."

"Told you she's good," Hiro stated.

"At least I was beaten by the protege of the best," Trina said, giving Hiro a quick peck on the cheek. "Good luck with the rest of your bracket, spider-bot."

"Huh," Hiro commented. Peni gave him a stink eye,

Hiro watched as Peni tore through her competition with her mental connection to SP inside of the robot. SP was able to use her mental connection to fight with a realistic perspective with Peni's help.

It didn't take long for her to go up against Yama. "Hey, Yama," Hiro said. "Long time no see. I guess it is tougher to chicken out with all these people watching."

You're" lucky people will pay to see our fight." Yama said as he took his seat.

Little Yama then went to strike Spider-bot, but SP used the thruster and dodged the strike. SP then used one of her front hands to shoot out a strand of webbing, yanking Yama's shield out of his hand. While they were fighting, Hiro snuck his way upstairs into his office and opened a window for Peter to sneak in.

Peter deactivated his cloaking, allowing him to be seen. "Good timing." He sighed as he removed his mask. "Suit was starting to get hot." They then started to search the area for where they thought Yama would hide the file. "Where would I be if I was a super-secret hidden tool for a crime wave?"

"Oh, I don't know, in a biometric safe under the desk?" Hiro gestured to the desk.

Peter leaped onto the wall and saw there was a safe. "Oh, Yama." He sounded disappointed. "I expected so much more."

Hiro tried to open it when he saw there was a fingerprint scanner. "Got anything from fingerprints?"

Peter smiled as he indeed had something. "Been meaning to try this feature." He then scanned the keyboard, and the trash, and found a usable fingerprint. He opened the safe, and they found a flash drive and strange shoes. "What's with the shoes?"

Hiro however focused on the drive and picked it up. He placed it into Yama's computer, waiting to toss what came up. But what they found wasn't the coding, but it did cause Peter and Hiro to scream in terror.

"I want to look away, but I can't," Hiro said.

What they saw was Yama samba dancing with what they guessed was an instructor. They weren't entirely sure how to react to seeing the guy who'd made their life excruciating with the constant crime sprees with a normal hobby.

"And what's worse...these classes appear to be happening during the same time as the robberies," Peter commented. "Yama wasn't the mastermind behind this robo spree."

"But who else could it be?" Hiro asks. "I mean, the only other connection..." Then he remembered how Trina's bot had been fighting the bots for the last week. She's been losing over and over... because her robot was infecting them. "Unless they were infected on the first round."

Back inside, Yama was trying to strike Peni down as she moved the Spider-Bot out of the way of the strike. She then shot another web, using her thruster to drag Yama's bot. Then she slammed against his robot crushing it instantly.

"You got lucky," Yama stated.

"Beginners luck," Peni shrugged.

Yama stood up, throwing his robot remote and storming off. Trina was watching the whole thing and walked off into the workshop to fix her bot. Hiro opened the door and approached her while Peter was summoning the others for backup. He informed Peni of everything and she summoned the SP//DR to help.

"Hamada." Trina saw him enter. "Gotta say, that fight against Yama and your protege was a thing of beauty. She actually..." Then she noticed his face. "What?"

"I know about the bots, Trina," Hiro informed her. "I know it's you."

"So, the boy genius finally figured me out." Trina scoffed as she fixed her robot.

"Why are you doing this?" Hiro asked.

"'Cause it's lucrative and fun?" Trina shrugged. "I thought out of anyone, you'd get it."

"I do get it," Hiro admitted. " My brother got me out of bot fighting and into SFIT. You're smart, Trina. You could turn your life around too."

"People like us never really turn around, Hamada," Trina stated. "We just pretend to."

"That's not true," Hiro stated.

"Isn't it? I saw you earlier." Trina stated. "I see you still love bot fighting as much as I do. Stop holding yourself back!"

"That's it," GoGo called, everyone coming out of hiding. "We're taking her in."

"It's so cute that you think you can," Trina said, activating all the robots she's taken over.

The tiny robots began to converge, assembling into a colossal mega robot, Peni's Spider-Bot among them. Trina dashed away in an attempt to flee as the formidable machine sprang into action, brandishing an array of lethal weapons to battle the heroes.

"Go! We got this!" Peni said as she charged at the robot.

Hiro ran out to try and stop Trina, only to find she suddenly vanished into thin air. "We don't get this! We don't!" Wasabi cried. "We really don't!"

"Everything hurts! " Fred grunts.

Teresa flew in and tackled Fred before he could be shot with a blaster, only for her wing pack to take most of the damage.

Hiro ran inside and had an idea. "Guys, hold it off! I have an idea!"

"Got it!" Peter said, leaping in to fight off the robot, shooting its eye sockets with webbing.

"Please hurry." Wasabi whimpered, splicing off one of the arms of the bot.

"If I can rewrite Trina's code in this bot, then transfer it to Peni's, I can take back control," Hiro said.

The robot was ready to strike down as Teresa shot several of her blasts to stun the robot. It wasn't enough to take it down, but enough to keep it from finishing the kill.

"Done," Hiro said, watching as they took back control of the Spider-bot.

When he did, SP made its way into the systems and managed to shut the robot down by clogging it with webbing. The robot then ended up falling over and crashed right on Fred.

"Great work, Hiro! But for real, though Ow!" Fred whimpered.

Peni set the Spider-bot on her desk with a sense of pride. Peter and Teresa caught the look in her eyes and shared her satisfaction, appreciating the confidence she had gained since the spider bite. Teresa was aware that her wing pack required fixing, but it was a task for another day; tonight, there was no need for it.

"Sorry I didn't notice what Trina was doing," Peni told her siblings. "I just... I don't know."

"Don't beat yourself up," Peter said as he sat down next to her. "I've been there. Blinded by one thing, and ignoring the obvious."

"Yeah, I don't need to be reminded of your ex," Teresa stated.

"You've gotta let it go," Peter tells her.

"God, no, never," Teresa promised.
