They only had the staff confirm what the children wanted. The adults had been sent a menu thanks to Mahaado's magic. It even had instructions on how to send it back once their choices were marked.

"My name's Henrietta, I'll be your hostess for the evening. Please let me or my staff know if you have any issues."

"Here you are, Master Atemu. Steak tartare. I'll bring your Beef Wellington out to you in a few minutes. Did you want me to top off your glass? What are you drinking?"

"Red Wine and yes, please."

"My king, your Honey Ricotta Peach Crostini with Crispy Pancetta. Your Filet Mignon will be out shortly. More Chardonnay?"

"Thank you, but no, I'm fine."

"Princess Jasmine, here's your Mini Chicken Salad Crustinis. We shall have your Spaghetti with ham, ceps and black truffle out to you shortly. More White Wine?"

"Yes, please thank you."

"Prince Nitesh, here are your sweet potato mini-galettes crisp. We shall have your chicken cacciatore out to you shortly; would you like more to drink?"

"It was Chardonnay, and I would if you don't mind."

"Queen Diana, here's your tomato and sauerkraut juice cocktail and French onion mini bouquets. Your eggplant lasagna should be out to you shortly. More Wine?"

"I'm nursing, so no wine, Apple Cider."

"I'm sorry, my lady."

"You'd better not mix it up or you'll answer for it!" Mahaado said.

"Is fine, it was a simple misunderstanding." Diana assured him. She herself wasn't a vegetarian but respected Mahaado for being one. So when she dines with him, she knows to order the vegetarian options.

"King Mahaado, here you are."

"What the hell is this?"

"Mahaado." Diana scolded.

"Garlic Bread Steak Bites. That is what you ordered, is it not?"

"It most certainly is not! I'll have you know I'm a very strict vegetarian! I marked Spiced-Couscous Cucumber Bites."

"My apologies, sir. I shall have that and your Beef Wellington out shortly." The maid said quickly, taking the appetizer plate back.

"Did you not hear me wench when I said I AM A STRICT VEGETARIAN!" he shouted, knocking the appetizer plate out of her hands.

Dylan was quick on the scene to calm things down. "I shall personally see to it you get your Spiced-Couscous Cucumber Bites, sire. I will also personally oversee you get your Vegetarian Wellington as well. Shall I get you another glass of Château Mouton-Rothschild?"

Mahaado simply nodded too angry to speak. He was also mad at all these people being nice and polite to wait staff. He never bothered with pleasantries.

Diana sighed, "Mahaado, where are your manners? It was likely an honest mistake." She couldn't believe he was making such a scene. Not only in front of company, but in another kingdom as well.

Mahaado was still fuming so he refused to say anything.

Diana turned to Seto and said, "Please excuse him, King Kaiba. He refuses to interact with the staff at home. If he needs something, he'll snap his fingers and a note shall appear in the hands of a guard stationed outside the door. Once a maid receives it she must complete his food or drink order. Then the note is placed on the tray and it appears wherever he is."

'Oh, so he's rude, entitled and lazy.' Seto and Yami thought at the same time. Other Kings and Queens also felt the same way. Although no one but Diana said a word to him.

Henrietta came out after the entrée dishes had been cleared. She bowed and said, "I shall be coming around with a dessert menu. We apologize for the inconvenience of not having it on the menu cards sent." Seeing as Reinette had been hired last minute, there was no time to add a dessert menu.

Dylan blinked; he had only thought of languages, not writing. He quickly got up and approached Henrietta, taking her cards. He wasn't happy with the extremely limited vegan dessert options. He handed it back to her. I shall return shortly with yours and Queen Diana's dessert.

"I'm perfectly capable of choosing my own dessert, Dylan." She hated vegan desserts but tolerated it at home. Outside the home she knew Mahaado would never know her dessert wasn't vegan. That's why she didn't want Dylan to choose as she feared he'd go with a vegan dessert.

Dylan smiled, "Of course, my lady. But I know exactly what you'd want."

She glared at him, "Fine, I'll trust you."

Dylan hurriedly went to the kitchen and looked out the window. He quickly cast a spell that all written material could be read in each country's language. With relief, he turned and asked a nearby maid, "Where are the vegetarian desserts?"

"All desserts are made in another kitchen in another wing, sir."

Dylan rolled his eyes and with his magic, he brought the desserts he wanted to him. He wasn't going to try to find where they were making the desserts. He composed himself and walked in with the desserts. "Here you are, sire. Vegan Tiramisu with chocolate cream." Then he turned to Diana and said, "For you my lady, I brought Black tie Mousse."

Diana was shocked and presently surprised. "Thank you, Dylan. You were right. This cake looks divine."

Yami looked at the menu and showed it to Seto. "What do you say we split this Glazed Chocolate Angel Food Cake?"

"No thanks, I think I'll go with chocolate souffle ice cream." Seto said. "You're the one who loves angel food cake, not me."

"Jasmine will have Strawberry shortcake, her favorite and I'll take Rose Ginger Pie." Nitesh said.

Jasmine smiled, "I'm surprised you remembered."

"Of course I did. Just like your favorite food is Neapolitan Spaghetti."

Mahaado was disgusted by their puppy love looks.

Diana, however, gave a sad smile and looked at Mahaado, "Do you know my favorite meal or dessert?"

"Why would I ever need to know that?" Mahaado asked.

Dylan just sighed from his seat, 'You really know how to make sure the queen hates you, don't you?' He could have tried to say something, but he knew that Mahaado was too arrogant and hardheaded to listen to anyone.

Seto just shook his head. 'I feel for her trapped in a loveless marriage, and now with a baby she has no way out. In a lot of ways, I'm thankful my father died when he did. Otherwise, I'd be in her position. Married to someone who doesn't love me and quite possibly a baby too. In my case, it would be someone who only married me for my, at the time, future position as King. I remember this princess showing up at the funeral and announcing we were engaged. I'd never seen this girl before. Apparently my father had been planning a secret marriage with this princess and her family. She still sends me letters begging to be given a chance. Even though I have to marry in the royal circle, I'll never marry someone pushy like her. I should have warned Yami not to invite her. I didn't see them, so maybe they weren't invited.'

Back with the kids, the maids were handing out the desserts. Maura had found Darin quite charming and was surprised that they had the same taste in desserts. Both got Peach Cobbler.

Ryo got Strawberry Mille-Feuille and Strawberry Tart and vanilla ice cream for Mokuba. While Varon chose chocolate macarons.
