It had been a few days since Gwen moved in with her two best friends Cuphead and Mugman in the world of the Inkwell Isles. Elder kettle let her move in with them as long as she helps around the house and takes care of the boys. It was all thanks to the magic inkwell she found in a park back in the human world and the Devil kidnapping her that made it all possible. Even though, she was still in danger with the Devil trying to win her affections. She was also willing to protect Cuphead, now that she's learned how to use the magic inkwell.

One morning, Gwen is sleeping in her new cartoon room with the flower she first created in a pot in the window along with the butterfly she also created in her world. Suddenly, she is awakened by Cuphead and Mugman by bursting into her room, jumping on her bed and yelling,

"Gwen! Gwen! Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!"

"Guys, it's early, can it wait 'til later?" Gwen asked, barely awake.

"Gwen! It's Elder Kettle! He says breakfast is ready and he wants you help him with something today!" Said Cuphead.

"What? Elder Kettle? Why didn't you say so?"

Gwen asked as she realized Elder Kettle needs her to get to work around the house or run errands since that was the agreement they made if she wanted to stay in the Inkwell Isles.

So, Gwen gets dressed, grabs the magic inkwell and ink pen, brushes her hair and teeth and comes downstairs along with the boys. Elder Kettle is cooking them breakfast and waiting for Gwen so he could give her first assignment.

"Good morning boys. Good morning, Gwen." He greeted.

"Good morning Elder Kettle." They all replied at once.

They all sit down as Elder Kettle bring them four plates of bacon and eggs and two cups of coffee. Cuphead and Mugman start eating as Gwen and Elder Kettle start sipping their coffee and eating.

"So, my dear, are you ready for your first assignment today?" Asked Elder Kettle.

"Yes, Elder Kettle." She answered as she was eating.

"Good. Because today, I have a list of things I need from Porkrind's Emporium. I want you to go down there and get them for me and come straight home. I'll give you some money to buy them. But for those things only."

Gwen winced at the thought of going back to Porkrind's shop as she remembered her first time going there and buying the sketchbook and dealing with a cheap and rude Porkrind who wasn't very nice to her. But she decided to toughen up and deal with Porkrind if he's rude to her again or maybe he'll go a little easier on her depending on his mood.

"Alright Elder Kettle. I just hope he's in a good mood today." She said, trying to prepare herself.

"That's the spirit dear." Said Elder Kettle.

"In the meantime, you boys get to do your chores today."

The boys groaned as they both hate doing their daily chores which included painting the fence, milk the goat, fixing the roof, clean their room, etc.

"Can't we just go with Gwen and help her?" Asked Cuphead.

"No Cuphead, she needs learn to do this on her own this time. So, she'll get better acquainted with the land and the inhabitants." Elder Kettle explained.

After breakfast, Elder Kettle gives Gwen a shopping list of things he needed such as food, two cans of white paint, a box of roof shingles, nails, etc. Gwen leaves the house, pets the goat, and starts her way to Porkrind's Emporium while Cuphead and Mugman unwillingly get started on their chores.

Gwen walked through the woods, surprised that Elder Kettle let her go on her own this time without Cuphead and Mugman to help her. Then again, Gwen needed to learn to get around on her own so she will get to know the Inkwell Isles much better and fend for herself. Carrying her satchel, Gwen looked all around at the beauty of the forest around her. Then she passes by a bus stop and some local residents say,

"Hi Gwen!"

"Morning everyone." Gwen replied back.

Gwen does enjoy some of the attention she gets from the local residents of the Inkwell Isles after witnessing her battle with the Devil and King Dice. Finally, she arrives at Porkrind's Emporium as she stands in front of the shop, hesitant to go inside. Gwen takes a deep breath and reminds herself,

"Be strong Gwen. You can do this. Just stand your ground. Be nice."

Gwen opens the door and peeks into the shop, then witnesses a tall coated figure at the counter.

"You got that package?" The man asked.

"Yeah." Porkrind answered.

Porkrind reaches for a suspicious looking package and showed the customer what was in it.

"Thank you for these black-market goods, Porkrind." The customer thanked him.

"Shh! What did I say about using my real name?" Porkind reminded him.

Just then, Porkrind and the customer turn their attention to Gwen at the door as she pretended to just walk in and not eavesdropping on their conversation.

"Good morning Porkrind."

Gwen greeted, pretending not to have discovered his black-market business. The customer sneaks past Gwen and leaves the shop as Porkrind answered,

"Oh, it's you again kid. So, you decided to stick around huh?"

"Yep, Cuphead and Mugman's caretaker let me move in with them. So now, I'm a housekeeper."

Gwen told him.

"Good luck with those two cups. You're gonna need it kid." Porkrind snickered.

Gwen looked at him unamused as she approached the counter.

"So, what do you want now?" He asked.

"I have a list of things I need for Elder Kettle. Can you help me?" Asked Gwen.

"Sure kid, but it's gonna cost you again." Porkrind answered.

Gwen knew he would say something like that so she said,

"Yes, I know Porkrind. I'll pay whatever you want."

"Well, you know the magic words kid. So, what do you got on your list?"

Porkrind asked, now willingly to help Gwen since she agreed to pay anything. She handed him the shopping list and Porkrind took a good look at it.

"Alright kid, I'll grab those things for you. Be back in a jiff."

Said Porkrind as he grabs a crate and goes to his backroom to get her the supplies on the list. Gwen was surprised how well she handled it that time, not like last time when she bought a sketchbook from him and tried to bargain with him. While she was waiting, she decided to look around the shop. Gwen looked at some of the stuff on the shelves which included books, shoes, hats, bombs and bottles of unknown liquids. Gwen decided to try a pretty straw hat on with a red band and fake flowers on it.

"Okay kid, here's your stuff."

Porkrind called to Gwen as he returned with a crate of the supplies. Gwen put the hat back on the shelf and goes up to the counter to collect the crate.

"Okay Porkrind, how much?"

Gwen asked, ready to get the sale over with and go home.

"Ten bucks." Porkrind answered.

Luckily for Gwen, Elder Kettle gave her the exact amount of money, so she hands him the ten dollars and gets ready to take the crate home.

"I noticed you were trying on that hat over there. You like it?"

Porkrind asked after noticing her trying it on in front of the mirror.

"Oh yeah, it's very pretty." Gwen admitted.

"I'll sell that to you too if you want it."

Gwen realized she didn't have anymore money but realized she could just use the magic inkwell to make her some money like she accidentally did last time.

"Uh, maybe. How much?" Gwen reluctantly asked.

"Twenty bucks."

Looking into her pocket, the magic inkwell glowed again and a twenty-dollar bill appeared from the paintbrush in her pocket. Acting like nothing was wrong and keeping it a secret, Gwen holds up the money and asked,

"Is this good enough?"

Porkrind takes the money and checks it to be sure as he usually does with his customers.

"Yeah, okay sold. Take it, it's yours."

Gwen takes the hat and puts in the satchel, then takes the crate and heads out the door and called out,

"Thank you, Porkrind!"

After Gwen leaves, Porkrind happily puts Gwen's money into the register, then sits down and turns on the radio and gets out his book.

"She's a keeper."

He said to himself, thinking to keep Gwen as a regular customer unlike Cuphead and Mugman who he considers annoying.

Suddenly, he feels his shop shaking like an earthquake was happening and Porkrind takes notice. Then the roof of the shop is ripped off and Porkrind looks up and fearfully says,

"Oh no, not again."

A giant three-headed dragon tore off the roof of the shop with his feet and all three heads look around the shop for something but couldn't find it.

"If this is about your baby, I don't have it! Honest! I just had this shop replaced!"

Porkrind pleaded, as if it has happened before. Two of the heads look at him suspiciously and growled at him, but realized he was telling the truth after one of the heads picked up a scent so the dragon flies away.

"Phew!"

Porkrind sighed of relief and runs away in fear.

Meanwhile, Gwen was walking home with her package and passes by the bus stop again and notices some locals sitting on the bench. Gwen says, "Hi" to them. But the locals look up in the sky and all started screaming and run for their lives.

"What got into them?" Gwen wondered.

Suddenly, she hears a loud growling sound as Gwen stood in fear and turned around to see what was behind her. No one was behind her, only to realize it was actually above her and as the giant three-headed dragon appeared before her.

"I think I just got my answer."

Gwen screamed and ran away into the woods while the dragon chased after her. Gwen ran away with the crate and satchel in tow, but couldn't reach for the magic inkwell to fight back as the dragon tries to grab her with its feet. But Gwen saw a low tree branch sticking out in front of her and ducked down before the dragon could grab her and accidentally grab the tree branch, buying her some time.

At the cottage, Cuphead and Mugman were tirelessly painting the fence while Elder Kettle was watering his garden as they waited for Gwen to get home.

"Ugh, what's keepin' Gwen? We need that inkwell of hers to get this stupid fence done." Complained Cuphead.

"Relax Cuphead, I'm sure she'll be home any second now. As long as she's not in trouble." Mugman answered.

But Mugman spoke too soon as the boys hear Gwen yelling,

"Help! Cuphead! Mugman! Elder Kettle!"

The boys and Elder Kettle stop what they were doing and turn to see Gwen running out of the woods with the goods. She runs up to the boys as Elder Kettle runs up to her and asks,

"What's going on Gwen? What happened?"

After catching her breath, she puts down the crate and satchel and answered,

"I got the stuff like you asked. I was on my way home, then I noticed a giant three-headed dragon attacking and now he's after me and I don't know why!"

"Uh-oh!" Said Elder Kettle.

"That sounds like that dragon Grim Matchstick. He must've come all the way from Mt. Eruptus. I don't know what he wants here, but we need to get in the cellar now! Come on all of you!"

Elder Kettle led the cups and Gwen to the cellar, which was used for emergencies. Elder Kettle gets the boys inside and prepares to get Gwen down there. Elder Kettle grabs Gwen's hand and pulls her downstairs into the cellar and locks the door.

"Phew!"

They all sigh of relief and felt safe at last.

Suddenly they feel the cellar shaking and the cellar door is ripped off.

"Uh-oh!" They all said at once.

Grim Matchstick was flying above the cellar and drops the door on the ground. One of his heads sticks into the cellar and the group all back up against the wall in fear. The head reaches for the group and stared at them.

"Grim! What do you want here?" Elder Kettle bravely asked the dragon.

Grim nudged Elder Kettle to the side and turned his attention to Gwen. He draws closer and sniffs her as she trembled in fear.

"Please, g-go away!"

But Grim doesn't comply so he opens his mouth and gently grabs Gwen and pulls her out of the cellar as she yells,

"No! No! Guys help!"

Grim places her in his hand and grasped her. Then he flies away in the sky with Gwen in his clutches as she yelled,

"Help! Help me!"

She was carried away against her will once again.

After a while, Gwen tries to remain calm as she is being carried across the sea in Grim Matchstick's clutches. Then she looks to see that she was being taken to a volcano island that Elder Kettle called "Mt. Eruptus."

"Oh wow."

Gwen said as they were drawing closer to the volcano. Grim places Gwen into an empty giant nest on a cliff of the volcano. Gwen breathes heavily after the long trip as Grim landed in the nest, eying at Gwen. Feeling like she was its next meal, she fearfully crouched down.

But Grim growled as its three heads closer to her and huffed at her. Gwen peeked up and saw that Grim is just trying to get her attention. Thinking it was otherwise, Gwen looked up and fearfully asked,

"Aren't you gonna eat me?"

Grim growled and shook their heads like he was telling her, "No."

"No? Then, why did you take me away? What do you want?"

Grim Matchstick turned her attention to a little empty area of the nest where something small used to be sitting. Gwen took a closer look and realized a little baby dragon used to be there, judging from the shape in the nest.

"Uh, do you have a baby or something?" Gwen asked.

Grim Matchstick roared and nodded.

"Oh, okay. Um… where is it now?"

Grim Matchstick looked sad as if it was telling her that the baby was missing.

"Oh… your baby's missing?"

Grim growled again and one of its heads approached Gwen and nudged her to look over the nest. Just then, Gwen catches glimpse of some tracks and suddenly it clicked.

"Oh… your baby was stolen?"

Grim nodded sadly.

"But I don't know who did it or why." She said.

One of Grim's heads nudged her to follow its tracks, then another head nudged her pocket where she kept the magic inkwell and ink pen. Then something else clicked in her mind, and then said,

"Wait a minute. You brought me all the way out here to help you get your baby back and bring justice to whoever did this?"

Grim nodded, but then Gwen asked,

"Why me?"

Grim grabbed a newspaper with its mouth and showed her an article about Gwen's battle with the Devil and King Dice, thus answering her question.

"Oh, you heard of me, huh? And you thought I could help you with your baby."

Grim nodded.

"Well okay, I'll get your baby back, but only if you promise to take me home after I save your baby. Deal?"

Grim Matchstick nodded as it agreed.

"Okay then."

Gwen said and looked the volcano, realizing there was no way for her to climb down.

"Uh, I may have a slight problem. I can't climb down." She said.

One of Grim's heads grabs Gwen with his mouth and was once again being lifted up.

"Wait, what are you doing?"

She fearfully asked as Grim flapped his wings and lifted her down the volcano and placed her down to the ground where the tracks led a path.

"Oh. Uh, that works too… I guess."

Grim roared as he flew back up the nest on the cliff. With no other option, Gwen started following the footprints of the culprit into the jungle.

Gwen grabbed her ink pen and was ready to use the magic inkwell as she followed the tracks into the jungle, not knowing with who or what she was dealing with.

"Wow, a dragon kidnapped me just so he could have me get his stolen baby back? Why doesn't he just do it himself?"

Gwen asked herself and continued into the jungle. Just then she hears two familiar voices and hear them calling,

"Gwen! Gwen! Where are you?"

Knowing exactly who it was she calls,

"Cuphead? Mugman?"

And follows the sounds of their voices into the jungle. Suddenly she sees Cuphead and Mugman coming out of the trees.

"Gwen!" Both of them called.

"Guys!" Called Gwen.

They run up to each other and hug.

"What are you doing here?" Gwen asked.

"We've come to rescue you. Now let's go!"

Said Mugman and both boys take Gwen's hands and try to leave but Gwen stops them.

"Wait! That dragon needs my help!" Gwen explained.

"What?" Asked both boys in unison.

"You see…"

Gwen explained the whole situation and that Grim Matchstick's baby was stolen by somebody and needed her help to get it back.

"Oh." Both boys said.

"Well since you guys are here, I need your help. He promised me he'll take me home if I rescue the baby." Gwen suggested.

"Okay Gwen, our raft sorta sank on our way here anyway." Cuphead admitted.

"You were the one who made that hole in it!" Mugman argued.

"No, you did!"

Both boys bickered again as Gwen loses patience and yelled,

"ENOUGH!"

Both boys stopped as Gwen realized she yelled and calmed down.

"Okay then, let's go. Follow the tracks."

So, Gwen along with Cuphead and Mugman traveled through the jungle.

"You know, this is our second time being here." Said Cuphead.

"Really? Why did you come here last time?" Gwen asked.

"Porkrind sent us here on a dangerous mission for a 'delicate package.' We climbed up the volcano and we saw an egg in a nest." Mugman explained.

Gwen's eyes widened. "What?!" Asked Gwen.

"That was the dragon's nest! You two stole that egg?!" Gwen asked, suspecting her two best friends maybe the culprits.

"No! No! Let me explain! We delivered the egg to Porkrind, but he meant to say to go to 'Mt. Eruptus Cleaners, not the actual Mt. Eruptus!" Mugman finished.

Gwen stood there shocked.

"Oh… So. what did Porkrind do with the egg?" She asked.

"We don't know. All we know is we were going to play our favorite game but Porkrind gave it to us, then told us to get out. We thought it was our reward." Cuphead added.

"I bet he wasn't too happy." Said Gwen as they continued their walk.

"But that doesn't explain how the baby was back in the nest and then it was stolen again. Could've it possibly hatched, and then that dragon came and took it back to the nest? And then somebody else stole it?" Gwen pondered.

Just then they come across a beach where there was a large ship was parked.

The cups and the human investigate their surroundings on the beach.

"Who would wanna come to a dangerous place like this?" Asked Cuphead.

"I doubt if they're here on vacation." Added Mugman.

Gwen looked around and noticed some cages and traps on the beach.

"Uh, guys?" Gwen called.

"Yes, Gwen?" Answered the boys.

"I think we're dealing with poachers. Look at all this stuff. Cages, traps, weapons. It's all things poachers would use to capture exotic animals for money." Gwen expressed her concern.

"Woah, that's sounds illegal." Said Cuphead.

"It is illegal Cuphead. And wrong." Gwen corrected him.

"But who would stoop down to a terrible thing like that?" Asked Mugman.

Suddenly, they hear a door opening and a ramp was released onto the beach.

"I think we're about to get our answer. Quick! Hide!" She exclaimed and she and the boys take cover in the bushes.

Gwen realized they left footprints, so with quick thinking, she used the magic inkwell to blow the sand, erasing their footprints. They see a group of figures stepping out of the boat and onto the beach, making sure nothing was wrong. The culprits are revealed to be… a short cartoony human with a orange/white mustache, wearing an Austrian hunter outfit and some of his crew of cartoony human pirates. Gwen notices the ship itself could possibly be alive.

"Alright Gentlemen! Are you ready to go hunting for more rare exotic beasts? Ve already captured one!" The hunter said with a thick Austrian accent.

"Aye-aye Franz von Sternberg!" His crew answered.

"Franz von Sternberg? Who's he?" Gwen asked quietly.

"The most wanted poacher in all of the Inkwell Isles." Whispered Mugman.

"He hunts and captures rare creatures for lots of money."

"That's terrible!" Gwen quietly replied.

"We need to get on that ship and rescue that baby. But how?" Cuphead asked quietly.

Gwen thought for a moment, then something clicked in her mind.

"Guys, I got it! They're going back in the jungle to hunt more, so when they're gone, we'll sneak on board, search the ship and rescue the baby dragon." Gwen suggested.

"Alright gentlemen, let's get on with it!"

Yelled Franz von Sternberg and led his crew into the jungle. A Styrian Coarse-Haired Hound dog catches a wiff of something and started sniffing and walked towards Gwen and the cup's hiding place.

"Vhat are you doing you dumb hund?!" Franz von Sternberg yelled.

"Get back here!"

The dog quickly obeyed and they all head into the jungle. The group sigh of relief and saw their chance to sneak on the ship.

"Now's our chance! Come on let's go!"

Cuphead said eagerly and started running up the plank and onto the ship.

"Cuphead, wait!" Called Gwen.

"Oh boy, he's gonna get us caught." Said Mugman.

Gwen sighed, took Mugman's hand and impatiently said,

"Come on!"

And start their way up the ship to start their rescue mission, unaware that Gwen's suspicion of the ship was actually correct. The ship was indeed alive and woke up and snickered sinisterly as it knew of their presence the whole time.

On the ship, Gwen and the boys searched on the deck for the baby dragon, but no luck.

"Hmm… lets look downstairs guys." Said Cuphead.

"Wait Cuphead! We don't know what's down there!" Cried Mugman.

"But they're gone! Come on!"

Argued Cuphead and started running down the stairs. Losing patience with Cuphead, Gwen and Mugman follow Cuphead down the stairs.

Gwen and Mugman look around for Cuphead, but he was nowhere to be seen.

"Cuphead! Where are you?" Whispered Gwen.

"This isn't funny Cuphead!" Whispered Mugman.

Just as they were both going to start searching around the boxes and cages, Gwen hears a chirping sound in the maze of boxes.

"Mugman, did you hear that?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah, what was that?" Mugman asked nervously.

"Let's check it out."

Gwen took Mugman's hand and both walked into the box maze to find the sound. They turn a corner and to their surprise, they find the baby three-headed dragon locked in a small cage, crying for help.

"Oh, you poor thing! Don't worry, we'll get you out of here now!"

Said Gwen, approaching the baby.

The little dragon chirped happily as Gwen grabbed her ink pen and used it to make the cage door unlock and opened. Gwen lifts up the baby dragon in her arms and cuddles in her chest as he has taken an instant liking to her.

"Aw, you're so cute!" She said as the baby dragon licked her face.

"Okay Gwen, we got the baby, now let's find Cuphead and get out of here!" Mugman reminded her.

"Oh yeah!" Gwen replied.

So, both of them head back the way they came and back to the stairs.

"Hey guys! Where have you been?" Cuphead approached, covered in gold, jewels and treasures.

"Cuphead! What are you doing?!" Mugman asked impatiently.

"I found their stash of treasure! Now we'll be rich!" Cuphead eagerly said.

"This isn't a treasure hunt Cuphead! This is a rescue mission so we can get back home!" Gwen argued.

They all started to bicker until suddenly out of nowhere, a barrel drops down from the ceiling and a net from below them scoops up the group and above the floor.

"Oh great! I knew this would happen! A trap!" Mugman angrily yelled at Cuphead.

The group hear an evil laughter as Franz von Sternberg and his crew stepped out of the shadows and approached the group.

"Vell, vell, vell. vhat have ve here? A trio of stowavays!"

"What? How did you know we were here?" Asked Gwen.

"Oh, my living ship varned me that there vere three unvelcomed stowavays sneaking aboard my ship and from rob me! No one dares steal from the great Franz von Sternberg!"

"I think you mean 'stealing back'. You stole a baby from his daddy!" Gwen corrected him.

"QUIET FRÄULEIN! And you're also stealing my treasure too!" Franz von Sternberg yelled.

"That was Cuphead's fault." Mugman pointed out.

"Hey!" Argued Cuphead.

"Gentlemen, throw these 'diebe' into the brig! Ve'll deal with them later!" So, Gwen and the cups were thrown into the brig while the baby dragon was recaptured.

"This is all your fault Cuphead!" Mugman yelled.

"My fault?!" Cuphead yelled.

"Yes! Your fault! If you haven't run up on the ship and stolen that stupid treasure, none of this would've happened!" Mugman argued.

"Hey, I was gonna make us rich!" Cuphead protested.

"We didn't come here to get rich, we came here to save Gwen and that baby and then go home!" Yelled Mugman.

Gwen just stood there, listening to both boys pointing fingers at each other. Not being able to bottle up her emotions anymore, Gwen went to the plank bed, knelt down, buried her head in her arms and started crying.

The boys stop arguing and look to see their friend upset. They both walk up to and Mugman asked,

"Hey, hey what's wrong?"

"Maybe I should've gone back to the human world when I had the chance. Then we wouldn't be here."

Gwen said sadly.

"What? Why? You told us you were unhappy there. Especially with your parents." Cuphead said.

"I was, but I didn't ask to be the new owner of the magic inkwell, get kidnapped by the Devil, being forced to marry him, be part of a circus act which was actually a trap, be kidnapped by a dragon and now this!" Gwen explained while crying.

Cuphead and Mugman had no idea their friend was still feeling emotionally affected by recent events.

"Oh, come on Gwen. You know, I didn't ask to be in trouble with the Devil after losing at 'Soul Ball', be on that radio gameshow, and I didn't ask to go to the top of Mount Eruptus to steal that egg." Cuphead admitted.

"But if it weren't for all those things, I never would've been braver than I was before." Admitted Mugman.

"And I guess I never would've been a little wiser. Except for the last part." Added Cuphead.

"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you guys. I'm always blinded by fun, adventure and easy-riches when I should've thought of you guys." Cuphead apologized.

Gwen sniffled, then turned around to Cuphead and said,

"Well, Cuphead, your antics may have gotten us caught. But it means a lot to me to hear you admit your mistake."

"And Gwen, I know everything that's happened to you was scary and unexpected, but look what it made you. You're happier, you're fun, free to be yourself, and brave enough that you stood up to the Devil." Cuphead told her.

Gwen thought of that and realized that Cuphead was right.

"So, buck up Gweny, and put that inkwell of yours back to work. You escaped Inkwell Hell and the circus, so you can get us out of here too and kick those poacher's butts just you did to the Devil and King Dice."

Gwen stopped crying, then grabbed the glowing inkwell and ink pen and realized her friends were right. So, Gwen bravely stands up and used the ink pen to unlock the brig door.

"Come on guys, let's finish what we started." Gwen said seriously.

"That's our Gwen." Mugman said proudly.

They run out of their cell, take out the living barrel and head back to the baby dragon's cage and rescue him once again.

Back on the deck, Franz von Sternberg called out to his crew,

"Alright now! Let's get ready to shove off to sea!"

"Aye-aye captain!" Answered the crew.

Suddenly, Franz von Sternberg gets blasted by a cyan-blue beam blast and falls on his crew. He gets up and says,

"Vhat the?"

Gwen along with Cuphead, Mugman and the baby dragon have escaped the brig and ready to battle.

"NEIN! How did you escape?!" Yelled Franz von Sternberg.

"With encouragement from my friends of course."

Gwen answered as Cuphead and Mugman proudly folded their arms.

"Get them!" Yelled Franz von Sternberg and his crew start going after the group.

The boys take the baby dragon and run away while Gwen fought them off with her attacks from her battle with the Devil. After giving the crew a brutal beating, Gwen joins the boys as they ran off the ship with the baby dragon.

Franz von Sternberg stood up, angrier than ever used his ship whistle and blew loudly and the ship started shaking as it woke up in a beastly-like form.

Gwen and the boys notice and the monstrous ship was ready to attack. Gwen fires some of her attacks at it and did some damage. Now angry at Gwen, the ship charges up its mouth.

"Look out!" Called Cuphead.

Gwen grabs the boys and baby and falls down flat on the beach just in time before the ship shot a powerful beam attack from it's mouth.

"What do we do now Gwen?" Mugman asked.

Gwen looked for a possible escape while trying not to get hit by the beam. Then, she saw the path to the jungle.

"I got it! Guys, crawl with me to that path we came, but whatever you do, don't stand up until I tell you to!" Gwen ordered them.

"Okay Gwen!" The boys answered.

They start crawling towards the path while trying not to stand up. The ship notices and shoots his beam at a tall tree so it would fall down and block their path.

"Oh no!" Gwen yelled, feeling like she's defeated.

The baby dragon started chirping, so Gwen takes him and soothes him in her arms as he buried his heads into Gwen's chest.

"It's okay, you're gonna be alright sweetie. Shh shh shh."

Just then the beam stopped, to the group's surprise.

"Huh?" Asked Gwen.

Then looked up to see the ship was looking at something in the sky and was terrified. Then, the group looks to see Grim Matchstick was flying above the group. Having heard his baby's cries, he came to save them.

One of Grim's heads leaned down to Gwen and took his baby from her arms with his mouth. Then one of the heads leaned down to Gwen, picked her up in his mouth and lifted her up and placed her on the back of the middle neck. The same thing with the third head picking up the cups and placing them on the other two necks next to Gwen.

The two remaining heads looked down at the ship, growled angrily and blew fire at the ship and everyone on it until they turned burnt black. Grim finishes them off with a fireball attack and knocked them out of sight into the horizon.

"Wow. Now that was unexpected!" Cuphead admitted.

"Yeah." Agreed Mugman.

Gwen sat there shocked, then said to Grim,

"You saved us. Thank you."

Grim screeched, then flew off back to the nest on the volcano.

It was sunset, and Grim placed his baby down and snuggled with him, happily reunited.

"Aw!" The three friends said in unison.

Gwen walked up to the two dragons. Grim's three heads lean to Gwen, then happily lick her whole body as his way of saying "Thank you."

Gwen, all covered in dragon spit says,

"If that means what I think it means, then you're welcome."

Cuphead and Mugman are disgusted but happy that the dragons were united. After using her ink pen to magically clean herself off, she says,

"Okay, now that you have your baby back, will you take us home? We've had enough adventure for one day."

Gwen reminded Grim of the deal.

One of Grim's heads leans down to Gwen, picks her up in his mouth and places her on his middle neck again along with Cuphead and Mugman who each get a neck to ride on. Grim started flapping his wings and flew up into the sky and started their way back to the Inkwell Isles. They flew for a while as Gwen and her friends are enjoying the flight across the sea.

"Hey dragon, can you fly us into the clouds?" Asked Cuphead.

"Cuphead, I don't wanna go higher!" Mugman pleaded.

But Grim goes higher and above the clouds as Mugman closed his eyes in fear. Gwen is awed since she is pretty sure no human had ever been up so high up in the sky.

"Wow!" Cuphead expressed.

"I gotta admit, this is amazing!" Gwen admitted.

Grim flew down to the Inkwell Isles and over the city, amusement park, and finally the woods. Gwen got out her ink pen and fired the same fireball attack Grim used earlier and accidentally blew up a tree.

"Oops!"

Gwen exclaimed and fixed the tree and put her ink pen back.

They finally reach the cottage as Elder Kettle runs outside to see that Grim Matchstick brought back Gwen and the boys. Grim lands on the ground and lifts his hand below Gwen's feet. Gwen steps on Grim's hand and places her down on the ground along with Cuphead and Mugman.

"Elder Kettle! We're back!" The boys called.

"Boys! Gwen! I was so worried about all of you!"

Elder Kettle expressed as he gives the three a group hug.

"That dragon just needed my help rescuing his baby, that's why he took me away." Gwen explained.

"Oh. That's it?" Elder Kettle was shocked.

Gwen walks up to Grim and he lowers all three heads down to her and snuggle her, expressing their gratitude for everything.

"You're welcome, take care of your baby."

Gwen told him as she wrapped her arms around his heads. Grim flies up into the sky and screeched loudly and flew away back to Mt. Eruptus as the group watches in awe.

"Well now that that's over, I think it's time we head inside and have supper and listen to our favorite radio show." Elder Kettle suggested.

They all head inside and Elder Kettle prepares chicken dinner for the cups and human. After having ice cream for dessert, they all gather around the radio and listen to radio show: Dirk Dangerous. Then it was time for bed and they all brush their teeth, say "Good night" to each other and Gwen gets out her new hat from her satchel and places it on her drawers, planning to wear it tomorrow. Then she lays in bed enjoying her much deserved rest after a very long and exciting day.
