It had been almost a week since Gwen settled in the cottage in the Inkwell Isles. But lately, she is worried the Devil will have recovered from his injuries she inflicted on him and be back again to kidnap her. Gwen recently set up a training grounds to practice her attacks every day outside in the forest with target practices and experimenting with new ideas for attacks with the magic inkwell. Cuphead and Mugman come to watch her practice fighting and experimenting one afternoon. Cuphead said,

"You sure have been practicing your fighting skills a lot these days. Don't be too worried about it. Maybe the Devil's given up on kidnapping you."

"I appreciate your concern Cuphead, but I need to get in shape if the Devil shows up again."

Gwen replied as she was fired a cyan-beam blast at a dummy shaped like the Devil and blew it up. Gwen creates another Devil dummy and decided to try telekinesis on the dummy and lifts it up and down really hard and tosses it into a tree and breaks it to pieces. Gwen breathes heavily as Cuphead and Mugman stare at their friend practicing too hard.

"Uh, Gwen? Maybe you should take a break?" Mugman suggested.

"No thanks Mugman. I still need to practice."

Gwen said and again makes a Devil dummy and fired her attacks again. While she was practicing, Elder Kettle arrives at her training gounds area and watches her.

"Oh boy, she's at it again, ain't she?" He asked the boys.

"Yeah, Elder Kettle, she's been at it for the past few days and barely takes a break!" Answered Cuphead.

"Boys, why don't you go play somewhere? I'll talk to her."

"Alright dearest Kettle."

Both boys answered in unison and leave to go play a game.

Elder Kettle walks up to Gwen and asked,

"Still practicing huh dear?"

Gwen stops, turns to Elder Kettle and says,

"Yeah, I'm still trying to be prepared for when he comes for me again."

"Well, dear, if you're so concerned about being ready for his return, why don't you get a personal trainer to get you in physical shape?

Gwen thought of that possibility and said,

"I never thought of that. I haven't had a trainer since gym class in high school. But, maybe I should. But, who in their right mind is gonna wanna train a human like me to fight here?"

Elder Kettle chuckled and said,

"I'll have you know my dear that I was a fightin' soldier in my early days."

Elder Kettle showed off some of his fighting moves until he hears a crick in his back and yelled,

"Oh! My back!"

And fell down to the ground. Gwen sighed and used the inkwell to heal Elder Kettle.

"Uh thanks Elder Kettle, but I think I'll see a professional, if I can find one. I'll check today's paper."

Gwen and Elder Kettle leave the training grounds head back to the cottage. Gwen sits down at the table, gets the newspaper from today and looked at some of the ads for a personal trainer. None of the ads for personal trainers caught her eye and Cuphead and Mugman come in.

"Whacha doin' Gwen?" Cuphead asked.

"Lookin' for a personal trainer. So far, none of these ads are grabbin' me." Gwen replied.

"Well, there are those two big frogs who run that boat restaurant who were former boxing champions." Mugman suggested.

"Who?" Asked Gwen, suddenly interested.

"Oh, they're those two frogs who run that fancy club on the lake not far from here who we crossed paths with after we broke in to get their ice cream. They even sank their own boat with their fists trying to catch us. That's how strong they are." Cuphead explained.

Gwen was surprised and asked,

"You said they have a club on a boat out on the lake?"

"Yeah. The Fly Trap." Answered Mugman.

"I'll be back in a while guys. I gotta go somewhere."

Gwen told them and left the cottage to find the Fly Trap.

Gwen walked for a while down the road until she heard a foghorn blow and managed to find the Fly Trap riverboat. She noticed a line of fancy-dressed anthropomorphic insects entering the boat on a gangplank and were greeted by two large human-sized anthropomorphic frogs dressed in fancy suits and wearing boxing gloves.

"Oh, it's fancy."

Gwen said to herself and walked up to the Fly Trap. Gwen stared in awe at the ship and walked up to the sign. She reads the sign that said,

'First class entertainment, ballroom dancing, fine food'.

And a little written detail that said, 'Free ice cream with entry.'

Just then a gruff voice said,

"Hey, hey, Croaks! Look what we got here! A brand-new face!"

Another gruff voice asked,

"What's that Ribby? A new face?"

Gwen turned around and looked at the large frogs coming her way. Croaks, the much taller one took a good look at Gwen as she leaned against the sign, slightly afraid of them.

"You're new around here, aren't ya kid?" He asked her.

Gwen stared at the frogs and said,

"Y-y-y-yes sir. I'm new here."

Gwen came forward and walked on the other side of the frogs.

"So, you want the premium treatment lady? Huh? Huh? Huh?"

Ribby, the shorter but slightly taller than Gwen asked as he raised his fist with a boxing glove and lightly punched her three times on her upper left arm. Gwen felt a little pain, but was relieved to know she found the frogs her friends spoke about.

"Wow, you guys are tough."

Gwen complimented.

"That's right kid. You see, we used to be pro-boxers." Ribby explained.

"Champions!" Croaks added.

"But, our dear old Ma hated when we pounded each other."

Ribby told Gwen as he and Croaks bow their heads honoring their mother.

"Oh, I'm so sorry about your mother." Gwen showed her sympathy.

"Thanks kid. We re-opened this club after two certain cups made us destroy our first club!" Ribby added.

Gwen decided not to mention her friends, since she wasn't sure if they still hold a grudge against them.

"Anyway, you got a name kid?" Ribby asked.

"Gwendolyn Mae Emmons, everyone calls me Gwen." She answered politely.

"Gwen." Said both frogs.

"I think I heard that name somewhere." Croaks said, thinking for a moment.

Gwen thought maybe they heard of her because of her battle with the Devil.

"Anyway kid, what would you like? Regular or Premium?" Ribby asked again.

Gwen gathered a little courage and asked the frogs,

"Do you guys know about self-defense?"

Both frogs were shocked.

"What do you mean? Of course, we do! Anybody who dares mess with us, I'll pound 'em!"

Croaks gruffly said and raised his fist, preparing to pound her.

Gwen flinched as Ribby settled Croaks and said,

"Relax kid, he's just kiddin' around. Anyway, why do you ask?"

Gwen took a deep breath.

"Well, is it possible maybe you guys could train me a little? I have a problem with this 'guy' who's after me and I wanna be ready to fight him if he comes after me again." Gwen asked nervously and smiled at them.

Both frogs stare at Gwen then both laugh loudly at her. Gwen stood there insulted and asked,

"What's so funny?"

"Oh! That is priceless!"

Croaks said after catching his breath.

"Look kid, this is a fancy club, not a dojo! Now if you ain't gonna buy our services, get lost!" Ribby warned her.

"Get lost kid or I'll pound you!" Croaks threatened her as he raised his fist, ready to attack.

Gwen fearfully backed up and wasn't sure what to do until a fancy male voice impatiently cleared his throat,

"Ahem!"

The frogs and Gwen turned to see a pair of fancy-dressed short anthropomorphic ladybugs approaching near the gangplank. The frogs quickly approached the couple, passing Gwen..

"Oh! Hello Mr. Mayor! Mrs. Mr. Mayor! Welcome back!" Ribby said, making themselves presentable.

"Hmph! You better get this evening perfect this time or else! We nearly drowned last time!" Mr. Mayor warned the frogs.

Mrs. Mayor looked behind the frogs and noticed Gwen as she leaned against the sign catching her breath after being threatened. Mrs. Mayor was shocked and said,

"Wait a minute!"

Mrs. Mayor walked past the frogs. They looked confused as she approached Gwen and asked her,

"Ma'am, could you kneel down and let me look at you?"

Gwen stood there, unsure until Ribby ran up to her.

"Kneel kid! Youse being rude to Mrs. Mr. Mayor!" Ribby quietly warned her.

Gwen quickly knelt down to Mrs. Mayor and let her observe every inch of her with her miniature binoculars.

Mr. Mayor approached Gwen and realized who she was.

"Well, I'll be a son of a cockroach! It's the human with the magic inkwell! Gwendolyn Mae Emmons! The one who fought the Devil!" He said.

Both frogs gasped at Gwen and realized she was the girl with the magic inkwell everyone's talking about.

"It is an honor to be in the presence of you Miss Emmons."

Mr. Mayor took Gwen's hand and kissed it.

"Uh, thank you, sir. And thank you ma'am."

Gwen thanked the ladybug couple.

Ribby grabbed a newspaper and finds the article about Gwen and her battle with the Devil and both frogs realize they were too harsh with her.

"Anyways, we'll see you inside dear."

Mr. Mayor said and took his wife and walked up onto the boat.

Gwen stood up, sighed and said to the frogs,

"Alright well, if you both can't help me, I'll find someone else to train me. I'll go now."

Gwen leaves back towards the forest to go back home. Both frogs panic until they both get an idea and smiled at each other. Before Gwen could go into the forest, both frogs run in front of her to stop her from leaving.

"What the? What are you guys doing?"

They both grab her upper arms, lift her up and carry her inside the boat to back area next to the dining area and they place her down.

"Look kid, we're sorry! We had no idea who you were! Now we remember hearing about you! We're sorry we turned you away and threatened you!"

Ribby fearfully apologized as he made her look presentable.

"You sayin' it's my fault?" Croaks angrily asked.

Ribby turned around and said,

"So what if I am?"

They both stated punching each other as Gwen watched in confusion.

"Uh, guys?" Gwen asked.

Both frogs stopped punching each other and looked at Gwen.

"Uh, anyway. So, you want us to show you self-defense? Right?" Ribby asked.

"Yes sir, please."

Gwen answered, eager that they were about to change their minds.

"We'll uh, teach you our stuff kid…"

Ribby said until Gwen hugged them both and interrupted,

"Oh, thank you! Thank you, sirs! You won't be disappointed!"

Croaks lifts her up and said,

"Uh! Uh! Uh! Not so fast!"

He placed her down and Ribby said,

"I was gonna say… first, you're gonna help us."

Gwen was shocked, but figured that they were going to want something from her in return for self-defense lessons.

"Me? Help?"

"Yeah. You. You're gonna help. You're gonna help us make a good impression on the mayor and his wife. They were kind enough to give us another chance after we blew it the first time. If we don't, they won't invest in our club and we'll be ruined!" Ribby explained.

"But what can I do?" Gwen asked.

"You are gonna make this a memorable night with that magic inkwell of yours! Make our guests and VIPs happy so we don't get shut down! So whaddya say kid? You help us make this their best night ever and we'll teach you self-defense starting tomorrow. Deal?"

Ribby offered and both frogs reach their hands out for a handshake. Gwen thought for a moment, but remembered that she did need their help to face the Devil again. So, Gwen reaches her hands and grabs both their hands and they squeeze her hands a little too tight and shake.

"Ow! Deal."

Gwen weakly said after they release her squished hands.

"Great! Now first, you're gonna come with us and greet our guests!"

The frogs grab Gwen's upper arms and take her to the entrance and place her down.

"Now, stand up straight! Arms down in front! And smile!"

Croaks ordered her. Gwen quickly complies and stands appropriately. The guests lineup to be seated and approach Ribby, Croaks and Gwen to be greeted.

"Good evenin' folks! I would first like to say, thanks for giving us another chance to give you the best night ever!" Ribby announced.

The guests glared at the frogs for their last failure that almost got them drowned.

"Excuse me? Aren't you going to introduce the human?" Mr. Mayor impatiently asked.

Croaks grabbed Gwen as Ribby announced,

"Oh yes folks! Tonight, is gonna be the most memorable yet 'cause we got a special guest of honor joining us this time! Gwendolyn Mae Emmons from the human world!"

Croaks placed Gwen in front of the guests as they gasped at the sight of her. Ribby and Croaks gesture her to smile and wave and she does so as the guest applaud her.

"So, let's go ahead and get shovin' off! Shall we folks?" Ribby announced.

The guests start entering the dining area and most of them stop to shake Gwen's hands as she greets them and they all are seated at their tables.

After sailing for a while, Gwen wanders around every table saying 'Hello' and being friendly to the guests. Suddenly, the frogs lift her up again and carry her up to the stage.

"Alright kid, you're doing great so far! Now, you're gonna help put on a show with us!" Ribby explained.

"How?" Gwen asked.

"We're gonna sing a little song and you're gonna use your inkwell to do some magic during our number!" Croaks explained.

"Uh… okay." Gwen reluctantly agrees.

"Great then! It's show time!" Ribby announced.

Ribby and Croaks get on stage while Gwen stands behind on the left side of the stage by the curtain. While Ribby and Croaks were talking to the audience with their comedy, Gwen notices a ventilation pipe above her moving and realizes someone is up there. She hears two familiar voices whisper-calling,

"Gwen! Gwen! Up here!"

Gwen looks up and realizes Cuphead and Mugman stowed away on the ship once again.

"Guys! What are you doing?! You're gonna get me in trouble with my temporary bosses!"

Gwen whispered.

"We realized where you were going! So, we came to get some ice cream with you!" Cuphead whispered.

"I'm not here to get ice cream! I'm here to get some self…"

Gwen was about to explain until Ribby announced,

"Alright folks! Let's start the evening with our favorite song."

Music starts playing and the frogs gesture Gwen to get her inkwell ready as a spotlight shone on the frogs. Gwen gets out her ink pen and her inkwell started glowing. Gwen smiled at the audience and started making magic as the frogs were singing about their mother. A portrait of the frog's mother is lowered down and Gwen took a good look and tried to hold her laugh at the sight of their mother. Gwen tried made herself look sympathetic as the frogs honored their late mother. Gwen rose her ink pen and started making rainbows and stars swirl around the guests. The audience is awed at Gwen's magic as she tried to focus on the show and making sure her friends don't get caught again.

Just then, she hears the cups fighting,

"Hey quit bumping into me!" Yelled Cuphead.

"Well you quit stopping in front of me!" Mugman yelled back.

Gwen mutters to herself,

"You guys are gonna get us in trouble…"

The frogs end their song as Gwen finished off her magic with firework-like lights that didn't blow fire at the guests and they applaud. Ribby and Croaks grab Gwen and raise her on Croak's shoulder while Ribby held her feet and make their bows to the audience. Gwen smiled waved to the audience as they cheered her on.

Just then, they hear clanking in the ventilation pipes, which grabs everyone's attention.

"Hey-oh! Who's up there?" Ribby called.

"Uh oh." Gwen said worryingly.

Croaks places Gwen down, grabs one of his firefly waiters and shoots a flamethrower from his glowing butt at the pipe. Cuphead and Mugman move quickly and head into another pipe and once again land in the freezer. Suddenly, the heated pipe falls down and starts a fire.

"Ah! Ma's on fire!" Ribby yelled.

"You sayin' it's my fault?!" Croaks argued.

"So what if I am?" Ribby argued back.

They both started punching each other once again. Gwen groaned and used her ink pen and made water splash out the fire and lifted the fallen pipe piece and sealed it back on the ventilation pipe. The audience is awed at Gwen and cheer her on. The frogs stop fighting and stare at Gwen who just put out the fire and fixed the pipe. The frogs grab her and Ribby says,

"New part of the show folks! We have our guest of honor here to thank for this memorable evening! Now, how about some dancing folks?"

The audience applauded and Ribby gestures the band to play some swing music. Some couples get up on the dance floor and started ballroom dancing. Gwen decided to find her friends so, she sneaks away from the frogs and noticed the pipe they went through went to the kitchen.

Gwen goes inside the kitchen and whispered,

"Cuphead? Mugman? Where are you guys?"

Suddenly a shadow covers her and Gwen feared of getting caught by the frogs. Gwen fearfully turned around to see a human-sized anthropomorphic bulldog butcher growling at her and holding a cleaver in his hands. Gwen gulped and the bulldog asked,

"You! What are you doing back here?"

Gwen struggled to speak,

"I-I-I-I-I was looking the… uh… bathroom! Uh, do you know where it is sir?"

The bulldog looked at her suspiciously then answered,

"It's just down the hall to the…"

"SHERMAN!"

A high-pitched female voice yelled and both Gwen and Sherman turned and looked to see a miniature anthropomorphic female chihuahua standing in the doorway with an angry look on her face.

"Doris! What now?" Sherman asked.

"What did I tell you about workin'?!" Doris yelled as she walked towards Sherman.

"Excuse us kid." Doris politely said as she pushed Gwen aside.

Gwen sneaks off to find her friends while Sherman and Doris argued. She goes in the freezer and whisper-called,

"Cuphead? Mugman? You guys in here?"

Gwen looked at the large cuts of meats hanging on hooks, but no sign of her friends. Suddenly, she gets a glimpse of footprints heading out of the freezer and into the back of the dining area. Gwen follows them and goes back in the dining area and looks for her friends.

"Guys?"

Gwen whispered as she walked toward the tables. She notices the tracks go under the long table. She knelt down on the floor to take a look. Suddenly, she feels a pair of hands cover her mouth and another pair of hands pulled her under the table. Gwen struggled until she realized her friends were hiding under the table.

"Gwen! There you are!" Cuphead whispered.

Gwen struggled to speak until Mugman said,

"Oops! Sorry Gwen!"

And released her mouth.

"Guys! What are you doing?!" Gwen asked.

"I told you! We came to join you to get some of their ice cream!" Cuphead told her again.

"I didn't come here for ice cream! I came to get self-defense lessons from those two frogs! They promised me lessons if I help them impress their guests! They told me that you guys helped tear the place down?!"

"No Gwen! It's not like that! You see…"

Cuphead and Mugman explain to Gwen how they tried to get on the ship for ice cream, but the frogs stole their five-dollar bill and kicked them out. So, they stowed away on the ship and tried to get the ice cream but were caught and chased by Ribby and Croaks until the whole ship flooded. The cups were bickering the whole day but they made up and the frogs were inspired to forgive each other and they all became friends. Then, the ship sank but they got their ice cream in the end.

"Wow, they didn't tell me that part. I didn't know that happened."

Gwen said, amazed by the full story.

"Well, alright. I gotta go help them impress their guests and I'll swipe for you guys some ice cream afterwards. Deal?" Gwen suggested.

"Deal!" Both cups agreed.

"In the meantime, stay hidden! They don't know I'm friends with you guys!" Gwen whispered.

Just then, Gwen heard the frogs calling her,

"Kid! Where are you?"

"Uh oh! I gotta go!"

Gwen told the boys. And quickly got out from under the table and stood up. Gwen ran up to Ribby and Croaks and asked,

"Hi sirs. Did you call for me?"

"Where have you been? It's almost time for the grand finale!" Ribby asked.

"Uh, I was just in the ladies room!" Gwen lied.

"Oh. Well then, lets go get ready!" Said Croaks.

They grab Gwen and take her to the stage again and Ribby said,

"Kid, you've been doing such a great job tonight! Now, we want you to finish off by…"

Suddenly, they hear a strong wind blowing and loud growling noise that caught the attention of the guests, the cups, the frogs and Gwen.

"What was that?" Gwen asked fearfully.

"I-I-I-I don't know, but it doesn't look good!" Ribby fearfully answered.

Suddenly, the room filled up with smoke and it suddenly clicked for Gwen.

"Oh no. He's back!" Gwen exclaimed.

"Who's back? What?" Asked Croaks.

"Uh, remember that 'guy' I have a problem with that I told you about earlier?" Gwen answered.

Ribby and Croaks realize who Gwen was actually talking about.

"Oh, you didn't tell us that it was the…!"

Ribby argued until the Devil in his giant dragon form rose from the smoke and roared loudly as the guests all screamed. Then he looked down at Gwen and smiled evilly.

"Hello again my beautiful flower. Having fun, are we?"

Gwen gasped and yelled,

"You! Why are you here?"

The Devil chuckled and said,

"I told you, I would recover and come back for you! Now, come with me my dear and things won't get ugly again."

The guests all scream and run outside the boat, jump in the water and swim for shore.

"My fans, they all love me." The Devil said proudly as Gwen backed away.

Meanwhile, Ribby and Croaks run and hide under the table with Cuphead and Mugman. The frogs realized they were not alone and Ribby said,

"Youse two again!"

"Oh, hey guys. How's it goin'?" Cuphead nervously asked.

"What are you doin' here?" Croaks asked.

"We came for our best friend who's been with you two!" Mugman explained.

"Best friend?" Both frogs answered at once.

Meanwhile, the Devil leans down to her in attempt to grab her and Gwen fires her cyan-beam attack at him.

"I warned you. Even if it takes the rest of my life, I will keep fighting!" Gwen yelled.

The Devil laughed and said,

"Silly girl. You can't escape from me! You never will!"

The Devil tries to grab her again but Gwen fires back with her electric zap attack. Then she once again fires all her attacks on the Devil as she had been practicing at the training grounds earlier.

Meanwhile, the cups explained to the frogs that Gwen has been training herself to fight the Devil to prevent him from kidnapping her so he could marry her. The frogs were touched by their story.

"We had no idea why she felt that way!" Ribby said.

"Maybe we should teach her how to protect herself." Croaks added.

The cups smiled and they all take a peek to watch Gwen once again fighting the Devil. Gwen gets the upper hand and takes down the Devil with her giant glove attack.

Gwen walked up to the Devil and said,

"Now, leave me alone! The inkwell's not yours! I'm not yours!"

The Devil snickered and said,

"Gwen, Gwen, Gwen. I'm going to marry you, one way or another. When you picked up that inkwell in the park, you sealed your fate."

Gwen started backing away from the Devil, now feeling scared and raised her ink pen. The Devil struggled to get up but surprised Gwen by morphing one of his short dragon arms into his regular arm. Gwen runs towards the cups and frogs hiding spot until she felt his fingers pinch her feet, causing her to fall down and accidentally dropped her ink pen. With quick thinking, Gwen loosens her boots off her feet, freeing her. But not for long, the Devil reached for her bare feet and dragged her towards him as she struggled to break free. As Gwen was being snatched up in his hand, the cups and frogs gasped.

"Come on Cuphead! We gotta help her!" Mugman yelled.

Cuphead and Mugman get out from under the table and run down a different direction. The Devil lifts Gwen in his fist up to his grinning face, trapping her arms and says,

"Now, let's finish what I started, shall we?"

Gwen struggled to break free when suddenly; the Devil felt something stomp him on the tail.

"YEEOUCH!"

The Devil cried in pain and released Gwen. Gwen falls down but is caught by Ribby and carried her away.

"Who did that?!" The Devil yelled, now furious.

He turned to see Cuphead and Mugman laughing after they used a table to slam his tail like a hammer with a nail.

"You cups again?!"

The Devil breathed fire at them but Cuphead and Mugman run away and dodged his fire attacks. They run and dodge the Devil's attacks until they get trapped in a corner. Ribby places Gwen down as Croaks brought her shoes and she slips them back on her feet.

"Oh, you dropped this too kid." Croaks said as he gave Gwen her ink pen back.

Gwen gasped and said,

"Oh no! He's gonna barbeque my friends!"

Gwen looked around quickly and realized hanging above the Devil was a big crystal chandelier. Gwen gets an idea and says,

"I got an idea! Guys, throw me at that chandelier!"

"What?! Are you crazy? That chandelier cost a ton of money to replace!" Ribby explained.

"Also, you'll get hurt!" Croaks added.

"Do it and I'll replace it with another one! I'll even rebuild your club boat! Just help me please!" Gwen argued.

Ribby and Croaks hesitated, but they give in and grab Gwen. They spin her around and toss her in the air and up to the chandelier and Gwen fired her new laser attack and cut the chain holding the chandelier. Just as the Devil was about to finish off the cups, the Devil suddenly stopped and looked up and saw the chandelier falling down.

"Oh no."

The Devil said worryingly. Then suddenly, CRASH! The chandelier landed right on top of the Devil, trapping him. The cups run away from the Devil and Gwen had been caught by Croaks safely after falling down. The group walk up to the Devil as he shapeshifted back into his original form, terribly injured. The Devil growled and said,

"You think you won? I'm just going to keep coming after you and your cup friends!"

Gwen knelt down at the Devil and said,

"Just give it up already! I'm not going with you and I'm not marrying you! I promise you that!"

The Devil was about to speak but he was too injured and his head fell to the ground. Cuphead punched him and said,

"Yeah! Don't come near her you jerk!"

Mugman punched him and said,

"Leave our best friend alone!"

Ribby and Croaks come up to the Devil and Ribby asked Gwen,

"Hey can we try that?"

Gwen nodded. The Devil growled and Ribby and Croaks start punching the daylights out of him to Gwen and the cups amusement. They were both yelling at the Devil,

"That's for destroyin' our club!"

"That's for scaring our customers away!"

"That's for trying to kidnap our guest of honor!"

"And that's for trying to hurt our little friends!"

Gwen grabbed some bowls of ice cream for the boys and herself and sat on some chairs and watched the frogs beat up the Devil. Mugman said,

"Thanks for saving us, Gwen. We owe ya."

"No Mugman, I should be thanking you guys. You saved me first. I would've been taken away if you hadn't smashed his tail." Gwen said, eating some ice cream.

"Yeah, but you saved us from being piles of ashes. So, we're even." Cuphead pointed out as he was eating his ice cream.

"True, but what am I gonna do now? The club is destroyed again and I won't be able to get those self-defense lessons." Gwen said, feeling down.

The cups thought for a moment until Cuphead gets an idea and whispered it to Mugman. Mugman laughed and Gwen said,

"What? What's so funny guys?"

Mugman whispered Cuphead's idea into her ear and Gwen started to laugh too and said,

"You know, that just might work! I'll go tell the frogs!"

Gwen gets up from her chair and walked up to Ribby and Croaks and said,

"Uh guys?"

They stop beating the Devil and turned to Gwen and asked,

"Yes?"

"I'm sorry about your night being ruined, but my friends have an idea that might help you." Gwen suggested.

Gwen whispered the idea to the frogs and they both laugh then Ribby said,

"You know what kid? That could help win our customers back!"

Later that evening, the fancy insect customers all line up on the newly restored Fly Trap boat, as Ribby announced,

"Step right up folks! Just a dollar to punch the Devil!"

The customers each pay a dollar and all take their turns punching the Devil who's chained to a chair as he struggled to break loose.

Mrs. Mayor whacked her purse at the Devil and yelled,

"Take that you ugly gorilla!"

The Devil, terribly beaten up groaned,

"I hate those cups."

Gwen and the cups watch, satisfied with their idea. Ribby and Croaks come up to Gwen, hug her tightly and Ribby announced,

"We did it kid! We made so much money!"

"The mayor announced he was so impressed with you that he's decided to invest in our club!" Croaks added.

"Wow, that's really awesome guys!" Gwen said, feeling squeezed too tight.

The frogs put her down and Gwen said,

"You know, your Ma would've been very proud of you guys for what you did for me."

Ribby and Croaks smile and have a few tears in their eyes.

"Aw, thanks kid." Croaks said.

"Oh, I almost forgot it's dark! I better grab my friends and get going." Gwen just remembered.

Gwen grabs the cups and prepare to head for home until Ribby came up to them and said,

"Wait! I forgot to tell you! Get some sleep! We start your training first thing in the morning! Your place!"

Gwen smiled and said,

"You got it!"

Gwen and the cups leave the Fly Trap and head for the cottage and straight to bed.

In the morning, Gwen is awake, dressed in a red tank top, blue sweat-shorts, hair in a pony-tail, white tennis shoes and was ready to start training. She hears a knock at the front door and Elder Kettle answered.

"Yes? Can I help you two?" He asked.

Ribby and Croaks were outside, in their boxing outfits and Ribby asked,

"Is Gwen awake and ready to go?"

"Gwen! It's for you!" Elder Kettle called.

Gwen prepares herself for real training and said to herself,

"You better watch out Devil! Cause when you show your face again, I'll be ready!"

Gwen goes downstairs to the frogs, takes them to her training grounds in the forest and Ribby and Croaks teach her warm-ups, weight lifting, punching and defense techniques and how to take down opponents bigger than her. Gwen knew it was going to be tough, but commits herself to getting stronger to protect herself and her friends.
